Legendary Rockers TESLA Release Double LP 'Real To Reel Vol I' for Record Store Day!

The legendary and iconic rock band TESLA proudly announces the release of a limited edition, double LP, Real to Reel Vol I, that is set to hit the shelves on Record Store Day, April 20, 2024.

Originally released on June 5, 2007, Real to Reel Vol I is a cover song studio album that pays homage to classic rock tunes from the late 1960s and early 1970s. TESLAbrings their unique touch to these iconic tracks, recorded using analog tape and vintage equipment, with a dedication to preserving the raw, authentic sound of the era. The album showcases the band's exceptional talent, captured in a live in studio setting, without the use of pro tools or an automated mixing console. The record was mixed by hand, sometimes with 6 hands on the mixing console at one time. Remarkably, TESLA accomplished the recording of 25 songs in just 30 days, working tirelessly from 10 am to midnight, pausing only for dinner.

Real to Reel Vol I was the first album released under the band's TESLA ELECTRIC COMPANY RECORDINGS. Limited to just 1500 copies, the double LP will be available in a striking clear red vinyl, adding a visually stunning element to the auditory experience.

TESLA's Real to Reel Vol I promises to be a collector's item, offering fans a rare opportunity to own a piece of the band's history in a format celebrated by music enthusiasts worldwide. Make sure to mark April 20, 2024, on your calendars and head to your nearest record store to secure your copy of this iconic release.

Tesla also announced their highly anticipated tour dates for 2024. Titled the "Keepin' It Real" Tour, this electrifying musical journey promises to captivate audiences with their signature sound and unparalleled stage presence.

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like Bad Company, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from TESLA include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000.

TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

Kurt Deimer Set to Release New Single "Doom" This Summer; Announces Tour Dates with Tesla!

Stream/ Download Kurt Deimer Music

https://linktr.ee/kurt.deimer

Artist/Entrepreneur/Actor, Kurt Deimer, has announced that he will be joining Teslaon select dates of the Time To Rock! Tour this Spring. Kurt will release his new single, "Doom" this summer!

Kurt Deimer Tour Dates:

4/19 Grand Rapids, MI (Supporting TESLA)

4/25 Williamsport, PA (Supporting TESLA)

4/26 Cincinnati, OH (Supporting TESLA)

5/5 Orlando, FL (Supporting TESLA)

5/6 Orlando, FL (Supporting TESLA)

In a world that seems to be spiraling out of control, Kurt Deimer is a man with a very clear mission: Work Hard, Rock Hard, Play hard and Spread positivity. In fact, his mantra could be summed up: “Take the high road, do the right thing, encourage others.” It sounds like a tall order these days in a world full of warring factions. And it’s an unusual mission for a singer/songwriter vocalist whose music could be described as hard rock, even heavy metal – genres that are not always synonymous with positivity.

Deimer, for his part, describes his work as good old fashioned rock and roll. “And it’s as good a vehicle as any for spreading good vibes” he says. “I’m here to encourage others to treat people with respect, dignity and kindness,” he says. “I’ve been through a lot of things in my life and I try to share that with others and be a beacon of hope for my listeners.”

That positivity and perseverance has paid off for the native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s not only launched a movie franchise, Hellbilly Hollow, by filming and starring in a feature length horror film of the same name. He’s also recorded more than two dozen songs with legendary producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, James Brown and the Rolling Stones), his management team includes Brian Wheat, manager of TESLA who discovered him while opening for TESLA.

Chris Lord-Alge says he was drawn to Kurt’s originality as an artist. “I saw something completely different in Kurt, and that was the lure for me. He isn’t a typical rock or country artist – I love hearing him talk and narrating a story, and I was drawn to taking those stories and helping turn them into music. He’s a personality, he’s someone you want to talk to.”

Things have not always been positive in Deimer’s world. At age 20, as a young rock vocalist, he found himself in the grips of drug addiction. He later discovered he was using substances to medicate an underlying anxiety condition. At that young age, he quit drugs, got help for his anxiety and never looked back.

He eventually started buying and selling rental properties and used that money to start the first of several successful companies he owns. Despite making his mark in the business world, Deimer didn’t feel ready to settle down and “join the country club and play golf all day” – so at an age when most people start thinking about slowing down, he started to speed up.

Inspired by the artists that helped shape him – Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Marley and AC/DC, to name just a few – he started writing song lyrics.

Inspired by his love of movies and acting roles in films including the 2018 ‘Halloween’ remake – where his character was killed by Michael Myers – and John Travolta’s ‘Trading Paint,’ he started hashing out a movie concept that became his eventual Hellbilly Hollow feature film and franchise.

Deimer has supported Geoff Tate on an expansive cross-country tour that highlighted material from his debut EP, that came out on November 19, 2021, which includes a duet with Tate and a trilogy of music videos directed by Scottish filmmaker Paul Boyd [Sting, Deadmau5, The Cult] that spotlight Deimer’s cinematic vision and charismatic presence. Along with many other supporting shows including TESLA, Drowning Pool and Yngwie Malmsteen all this within the first two years of touring.

For Deimer, the inspiration is to make the world a better place one song at a time, singing about the ills of the 21st century and offering solutions instead of excuses. “When people listen to my music, I want to help them decompress and feel better after a brutal day. That’s what music always did for me, and that’s what we need more of today.”

KURT DEIMER ANNOUNCES SHOWS WITH TESLA IN THE US + NEW HORROR FILM

Singer Kurt Deimer stayed quite busy throughout 2022 – with the arrival of his debut EP, ‘Word Hard Rock Hard,’ which he recorded with his bandmate and creative partner (and Bon Jovi guitarist) Phil X.

And 2023 will see Deimer build his fanbase with further touring in the US.

“We got a couple more Tesla dates in January. I’m also going to shoot my second feature film that I star in, called ‘Scared to Death,’ along with Lin Shaye, she’s known for the ‘Insidious’ franchise and her role in Kingpin with Woody Harrelson, and Bill Moseley, who was in Rob Zombie’s ‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ amongst other projects.

And we already have further tour dates with Tesla in the Midwest with many, many more to come – starting in April, after my movie shoot.”

“2022 was the year we saw the band evolve. We continued to enhance our live show and become a really tight rock'n'roll band. Given that we are direct support, when we hit the stage, we entertain folks at the highest level – with the opportunity we're given and the amount of space we're given on stage. And 2022 has been a great bridge and a great training ground – ‘battle ground’ if you will – setting us up for all the big things that are about to happen in 2023. So, 2022 was the year of hard work. A year of figuring stuff out, a year making the necessary changes to continue to grow as a band and continue to grow our audience across the world.”

Deimer has also issued several music videos thus far, which can be viewed via these links:

“Hero” -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPzlBPogD1M&t=42s

“Naïve” -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp-7ZopNcwQ

“Burn Together” (featuring Geoff Tate) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYWxNdXZqz4

With 2022 now in the rearview mirror, Deimer looks back upon the past twelve months with fondness. “Favorite moments from the band this year for sure was our five days that we did with Tesla in the beginning of September. Those were epic shows. We had come off the Yngwie Malmsteen tour, which was another great moment. With Tesla, we did House of Blues and auditoriums - we really got to play in front of a thousand plus every night, and converted even more fans. Another great memorable moment with those Tesla shows was when we came out on stage at the last show at the House of Blues in New Orleans, to play with them on ‘Signs.’ To be on stage with other musicians that I admire so much was a big highlight. And another highlight of 2022 was when we played to 3,000+ fans with Mushroomhead, at their big Halloween bash in Cleveland at the Agora.”

Undoubtedly, 2023 is going to be a big year for Kurt Deimer.

KURT DEIMER FINISHES NEW FILM, ‘HELLBILLY HOLLOW,’ ANNOUNCES SHOWS WITH TESLA

Rocker Kurt Deimer continues to further his fast-rising career.

In addition to recently wrapping up live shows in support of his debut EP ‘Work Hard Rock Hard’ - which he recorded with his bandmate, creative partner and Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X – the multi-talented Deimer will soon unleash his horror film franchise on the world. “My debut feature film, which I star in, is called ‘Hellbilly Hollow’,” says the actor/singer. “I was in ‘Trading Paint’ with John Travolta, and I was in ‘Halloween’ in 2018, where I was killed by Michael Myers. I had so much fun on those movies, I decided to flush out these ideas I had and do my own franchise – now ‘Hellbilly Hollow’ is finally ready for the world!”

Fans of Deimer’s music shouldn’t be concerned with him focusing solely on film, as he is impatiently waiting for the next tour to be lined up. “I cannot stand sitting at home not knowing when my next show is, I’m ready to play! This is rock n’ roll, and the best way to build our fanbase is to be out there in front of them. It’s so hard to grab people’s attention over social media and amidst all the chaos of the world – the best way to turning them on to what we do is getting people out to live shows.”

The feedback from the audiences that Deimer has played in front of has been outstanding. “Every time we play, we turn folks in the crowd into our fans. I go to the merch booth and sign autographs, take pictures and selfies, and people are always saying how refreshing we are, how unique we are. The biggest challenge I face in this business is everybody tells me I have to fit in this kind of niche, and I’m my own guy, we’re our own band, and we have our own unique sound – but we’re still a rock band, like AC/DC and Van Halen. All we need to do is play for people, and they realize what we’re all about.” And in September, Deimer will be opening a string of shows for Tesla in the US. Ticket info can be accessd here: https://kurtdeimer.com/pages/tour

Deimer’s new single, “Hero,” recently went to mainstream rock radio and received early support from WIIL in Chicago and saw regional success in the northeast. Additionally, there are more than 1.5 million combined YouTube views across his five official video releases.

Although it’s been less than a year since Kurt made his debut, he’s already amassing quite the highlight reel. “I met Geoff Tate, he gave me a chance and gave me my first tour, and he was in a music video with me. He was on the song ‘Burn Together’ on ‘Work Hard Rock Hard,’ and he totally gave me an opportunity – like somebody probably gave him back in the day. Second highlight: going out on the Yngwie Malmsteen tour and winning over fans. He’s a shredder, and we came out and did our brand of rock, and I think we complimented each other very well. Another highlight was bringing my demo to L.A. and Chris Lord-Alge thinking it was good enough and seeing potential in me. He discovered me and took me under his wing. And yet another highlight was Chris bringing me and Phil X together to do our first song as a team, a cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Have a Cigar.’ Now, Phil X and I are great friends and we’re on a mission together for the rest of our lives.”

Kurt’s future plans? “Tour, tour, tour, tour... We’re working on some really cool stage productions. We want to continue towards our goal of bringing our unique style around the world and play for people and make differences in people’s lives. We want to give back to the communities we play in, give back to those who risk their lives for us - veterans, our military and first responders - and just continue to build as a rock band, grow, and mature.”

TESLA ANNOUNCES THEIR RETURN TO THE CONCERT STAGE WITH THE “LET’S GET REAL!” TOUR 2021

mail-75.jpeg

After an 18 month hiatus that the world has taken from live concerts due to the Covid-19 lockdown, America’s multi-platinum rock band TESLA is announcing their return to performing live concerts with the “LET’S GET REAL!” tour – kicking off August 5th in Grants Pass, Oregon. The tour will include shows with legendary artists Styx, Kid Rock, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and will continue until November 2021 - hitting the continental USA and Mexico.

Frank Hannon: “We are so excited and anxious to get back to performing ‘real’ live concerts again. There’s nothing like the energy of being in the same spontaneous moment with an audience of people. Tesla has always taken pride in being a high energy live band relying on performances without any backing tracks or pre-recorded help. We are planning some surprises for our fans on this upcoming tour by playing some deeper Tesla cuts as well as a fresh brand new song we just wrote. TESLA: Over the course of their thirty-five year + career, the iconic Sacramento melodic hard rock quintet—Frank Hannon (guitar), Brian Wheat (bass), Jeff Keith (lead vocals), Troy Luccketta (drums), and Dave Rude (guitar)—sold more than 25 million albums domestically and played globally to sold-out crowds far and wide. To say TESLA live is absolutely bombastic is an understatement, they are a hard rock band to beat all hard rock bands.

TESLA’S FRANK HANNON TEAMS UP WITH RED VOODOO, FOR NEW MUSIC AND A HOLIDAY VIDEO

RED VOODOO is rocking your Christmas with this remake of a classic SAMMY HAGAR song! Produced by Frank Hannon and directed by videographer Brandon Gullion. R...

“It’s a Rock and Roll Christmas!” is the theme for Frank Hannon of TESLA this year, as his production team has made a rocking Christmas music video for the band RED VOODOO, as well as offering two brand new songs releasing digitally on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube or wherever you download/stream music, by two very different artists on his roster this Christmas Eve. Prodigy artist J.T. LOUX will be serving up his sultry blues rock ballad “Waited So Long,” and the band RED VOODOO will dish out their anthem mantra “Bring It Back!”

Furthermore, individual concept videos for these songs - as well as Frank Hannon’s “Ride Strong” video - are planned for showcasing soon after the brand new year 2021, along with news of a possible label venture. Frank Hannon states: “This year has been so productive as I have discovered some amazing new artists. We have worked hard all year developing songs for their new albums that are coming in 2021. Aside from hearing these guys grow from my teaching, one of the most rewarding parts has been getting kudos from our musical influence and hero SAMMY HAGAR! We’ve been staying in touch and Sammy’s been involved with our visions for his classic song “Rock and Roll Weekend.”

So be sure to listen for these gifts from Santa Clause on Christmas Eve and check out www.frankhannonproductions.com.

In the meantime, RED VOODOO is rocking your Christmas with this remake of a classic SAMMY HAGAR song and video! Directed by videographer Brandon Gullion and with a cameo appearance by Frank Hannon on slide guitar, the video captures a fun night of Christmas spirit. RED VOODOO is an up and coming young band set to rock a new album in 2021. Loved and endorsed by Sammy himself as well as Gibson, Kramer and Epiphone guitars! Merry Christmas from all of us at Frank Hannon Productions!

BRIAN WHEAT TELLS HIS SIDE OF THE STORY IN NEW BOOK, ‘SON OF A MILKMAN: MY CRAZY LIFE WITH TESLA’ AND ANNOUNCES LIVE SIGNING EVENT FOR THIS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9TH

Tesla bassist Brian Wheat lifts the lid on living the rock ’n’ roll life while struggling with anxiety, depression, and other issues seldom discussed by musicians in his new book, ‘Son of a Milkman: My Crazy Life with Tesla,’ which will be released on December 15, 2020 via Post Hill Press (and co-penned by Chris Epting).

Far from your typical rock star, as bassist for the multi-platinum band, Tesla, Brian has enjoyed the spoils of success and lived the sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll lifestyle to the hilt. But it came at a cost, one that took years to repair.

In this deeply honest and utterly revealing memoir, Wheat sheds light on the many challenges he faces, including bulimia, weight issues, and the crippling anxiety and depression caused by his conditions. Just like the songs his legendary band made, this is no-nonsense, blue-collar storytelling at its best.

While revealing the vulnerable human behind the bass guitar, this autobiography also offers tremendous stories of life on the road, and collaborations and encounters with legendary figures like his pals in Def Leppard, David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, and Paul McCartney.

Brian is best known as the bass guitarist of the platinum-selling band, Tesla, which he cofounded in 1982. Tesla became one of the biggest bands of the late 1980s–1990s. Brian owns a recording studio by the name of J Street Recorders in Sacramento, California. Papa Roach, Tesla, Pat Travers, Deftones, Kodiak Jack, Flashfires, and many others have recorded there.

Chris Epting is an award-winning journalist and the author of many books, including ‘Adrenalized’ (co-written with Def Leppard’s Phil Collen) and ‘Change of Seasons’ (co-written with John Oates).

Featuring a foreword by Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and an afterword by renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin, ‘Son of a Milkman’ will entertain, surprise, and inspire longtime fans of this enduring band.
