German heavy metal force MYSTIC PROPHECY has released a lyric video for their new single “March Or Die,” taken from the band’s upcoming studio album In Metal. The album will be released on November 27, 2026 via PERCEPTION – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.

Driven by classic heavy metal energy, powerful riffs and a defiant spirit, “March Or Die” is a song about standing together when everything around you descends into chaos. While its imagery draws from the battlefield, its message is rooted in everyday life: keep moving forward under pressure, face adversity head-on and refuse to give up.

Progressive Duo CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE Explore Restraint And Internal Pressure In The New Single, "The Waiting Storm"

In "The Waiting Storm," CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE present an immersive sonic offering representing internal turmoil between patience and appeasing a restless mind. The track lands ahead of their forthcoming album Primordial Reverie Ascendant, out January 8, 2027.

"The song centers on restraint and internal pressure," CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE explain. "This is heard in lines like 'I sit and lie in wait, a tempest ruminating'. As the track progresses, the 'beast' and 'storm' imagery point to something growing beneath the surface. An increasing urgency that can no longer be ignored. What begins as patience shifts toward inevitability.

Outside of the narrative, the lyrics also reflect periods of creative stagnation. Lulls in momentum where progress feels stalled. That tension between inactivity and pressure mirrors the track’s central themes."

Musically, "The Waiting Storm" contains the duo's most straightforward arrangement on Primordial Reverie Ascendant's track list. The song's catchy riffs convey a darker mood throughout the verses accompanied with fierce harsh screams. "The Waiting Storm" emerges into a soaring chorus with memorable lead vocal melody lines.

German melodic power metal stalwarts MOB RULES celebrate the release of their new compilation album, Stories From The Verdant Vale, via ROAR - A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music. The material for Stories From The Verdant Vale was written during the final stages of the Rise Of The Ruler sessions and now emerges as a special standalone release. More direct and compact than its predecessor, the record remains unmistakably MOB RULES, combining melodic power metal, atmospheric depth and the compelling storytelling that has long defined the band.

“During the final stages of completing the album, we discussed possible bonus material for the earbook edition with the label," vocalist Klaus Dirks recently revealed. "We were reluctant to use demo versions or similar material. This motivated us to write a few new songs. We were well aware of what we were getting ourselves into, but we also wanted to challenge ourselves a little.” 

Originally conceived in part as exclusive material, the songs are now receiving a full vinyl and digital release following high demand from fans. While Stories From The Verdant Vale expands the concept of Rise Of The Ruler from a different perspective, each track has a character of its own, making it both a natural extension of the album and a powerful release in its own right.

"Parts of the song are in Spanish, which made sense for the feel we were going for. It's a slightly different track for us, with a more rhythmic and warm character. With Boom Bang Goodbye, SINNER release their final studio album today via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). Accompanied with a lyric video, "Entropic Harvester" sees the the protagonist of the album's narrative set foot on a new world only to discover remnants of life. What remains is "a biomechanical spider-like machine that has consumed everything on the planet. Not out of malice, but because it believes life to be wasted energy", CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE explain. 

Upon encountering the 'Entropic Harvester', the protagonist must fight for her life. The ensuing battle leads to the destruction of the machine, allowing the space adventurer to explore this new plain freely.

"Entropic Harvester" is one of the band's most technically demanding tracks. An eerie cinematic soundscape evokes the barren landscape of a consumed planet. Across the song, numerous time signature changes, the frequent development of the central motif, and multiple intricate guitar solos culminate into a complex yet fully immersive arrangement.

“During the final stages of completing the album, we discussed possible bonus material for the earbook edition with the label. We were reluctant to use demo versions or similar material. This motivated us to write a few new songs. We were well aware of what we were getting ourselves into, but we also wanted to challenge ourselves a little.”

 Originally conceived in part as exclusive material, Stories From The Verdant Valewill now receive a proper release on vinyl and digital platforms due to high demand. The record was mixed by Markus Teske, with artwork created by Stan W. Decker.

Influences in BAXTY's sound derive from an array of bands notably, DREAM THEATER, THE CONTORTIONIST, ALICE IN CHAINS, PANTERA and PINK FLOYD. 

In 2024, BAXTY independently released the debut EP Event Horizon and collaborated with Jordan Rudess (DREAM THEATER) performing guitar solos on "Into the Lair" and "Embers" from his album Permission to Fly. In the same year, BAXTY took to the stage opening for BABYMETAL in Chile during their Knotfest sideshow and opened two nights for DREAM THEATER at Movistar Arena, the largest indoor venue in Chile. In 2025, BAXTY performed at Guitar Universe Camp on invite from John Petrucci, and BAXTY launched The Baxty Signature Guitar model with Kiesel Guitars.

SINNER Release First Single "Wait" From Final Studio Album Boom Bang Goodbye

German hard rock legend SINNER present the energized new single "Wait" alongside a music video. This is the first single to land from the band's forthcoming, and final, full-length studio offering, Boom Bang Goodbye. The album will arrive on July 31, 2026, via RPM. For over four decades SINNER have delivered massive hooks, powerful guitars, emotional depth and pure hard rock energy with an uplifting sound, and "Wait" is no different. 

On the new single "Wait", Mat Sinner shares:
“For the first song from the album, I wanted a positive good-time track that simply puts people in a good mood. The political madness we’re living through doesn’t need another depressing soundtrack. ‘Wait’ is also a very representative song for the entire album. Working with Michael Bormann again after 10 years immediately clicked — the chemistry was there right away. And just like on the whole album, there’s an unbelievably great performance from drummer Moritz Müller and my partner Alex Scholpp, plus the absolutely brilliant mix by my friend Jacob Hansen. Mat was 100% happy!”

The video for "Wait" also captures the song’s positive energy, welcoming the summer with ease, optimism and feel-good vibes.

With Boom Bang Goodbye, SINNER enter the final chapter of an extraordinary career. Since 1982, the band led by Mat Sinner has been one of the most consistent forces in the German hard rock and metal scene. Following 19 studio albums, international tours and most recently the successful album Brotherhood, the band is set to end on a high note.

For this final statement, Mat Sinner has once again gathered an epic lineup of longtime companions and high-profile guests. Alex Scholpp (guitar) and Moritz Müller (drums) provide the album’s powerful foundation, joined by Jim Müller of KISSIN’ DYNAMITE, Lisa Müller, and former SINNER bandmate Mathias Dieth, who performed on the influential early albums Comin’ Out Fighting and Dangerous Charm. Another renowned guitarist on board is Magnus Karlsson — closely connected to Mat Sinner through the PRIMAL FEAR camp — who contributes vocals on Boom Bang Goodbye.

All-star appearances on Boom Bang Goodbye continue with vocal performances from Ronnie Romero (RAINBOW), Michael Bormann, Michael Sadler (SAGA), Björn Strid (SOILWORK), Erik Mårtensson (ECLIPSE), Renan Zonta and Sascha Krebs. Each guest brings their own distinctive touch to the track list, making the album an impressive gathering of international hard rock and metal greats.

Mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark, the album combines modern heaviness with classic SINNER DNA. Every song bears the unmistakable signature of Mat Sinner as a musician, songwriter and personality who has helped shape the European metal scene for decades.
