NVICTA Unleashes New Single "Overthrow Divinity" From Upcoming EP Sapienomachy

Canadian melodic death thrash force INVICTA return with "Overthrow Divinity," the first single from their upcoming EP Sapienomachy.

Active since 2017, INVICTA have carved out a reputation for aggressive old school riffing, sharp melodic hooks, and a modern approach to death and thrash metal. With one EP and two full-length albums already behind them, the Kitchener-Waterloo band now enter a new chapter with Sapienomachy, a concept-driven release that expands their sound into power metal, traditional metal balladry, and progressive storytelling.

Inspired by Greek mythology, Sapienomachy takes its name from mythic conflicts such as the Titanomachy and Gigantomachy. The EP reimagines the tale of Prometheus giving fire to humankind, following a story in which humanity turns that gift into a weapon and wages war against the gods, ultimately destroying their universe.

The EP’s artwork was created by legendary German artist Andreas Marschall. Drawing from Greek myth, the cover depicts Prometheus embedded in the mountain, offering his final flame to humankind.

"Overthrow Divinity" launches the EP with fast-paced power metal influence, twin harmony guitar leads, and relentless drumming. Lyrically, the song is told from the perspective of humanity rising against the gods after generations of oppression and restraint. Its story also speaks to modern anxieties: mankind given tools and technologies meant to help, only to turn them toward destruction in a relentless lust for power.

Sapienomachy also marks a unique creative moment for INVICTA. Originally written as part of a full-length album, these songs were set aside and shaped into their own standalone release, allowing the band to explore a more narrative, dynamic, and mythological side of their writing.

About INVICTA:

INVICTA features Kyle Edissi on guitar and vocals, Jonah Kay on guitar, Reef Hassanien on drums, and Chip Tanner on bass. The band’s discography includes The Executioner EP, Halls of Extinction, and Triumph and Torment, alongside singles and covers including "Rising Force," "Forces of Annihilation," and "Hatebreeder."

INVICTA have toured across Canada and the United States, including runs supporting HEATHEN and FIRST FRAGMENT, and have shared stages with LICH KING, SOULFLY, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, NAPALM DEATH, and PRIMITIVE MAN.

Press has praised the band’s technicality, aggression, and melodic force. UK Thrashers called INVICTA “one of the more brutal thrash bands in the underground,” while Metal Epidemic wrote, “If you were to somehow meld together REVOCATION, KREATOR and IRON MAIDEN, you would surely end up with Ontario’s INVICTA.”

"Overthrow Divinity" is the first glimpse into Sapienomachy, a release that pushes INVICTA into grander, more mythic territory while retaining the speed, aggression, and melodic bite that has defined the band since its earliest days.

INVICTA is:

  • Kyle Edissi - Guitar, Vocals

  • Jonah Kay - Guitar

  • Reef Hassanien - Drums

  • Chip Tanner - Bass

Swedish Symphonic Metallers ELEINE Release New Single "Liars Linger" + Visualizer

Swedish metal band ELEINE drop their new single and visualizer “Liars Linger” from their upcoming fifth studio album, ‘The Water Taste Of Blood,’ out December 4th via Algoth Records / Sound Pollution.

Where “Watch As We Rise” was the soundtrack of the empire coming down, “Liars Linger” is about the kind of betrayal that only cuts this deep when it comes from someone you trusted with your life, whose words turn out to be worthless and whose blades were sharpened long before you saw them coming.

Exhausted but still marching, the song refuses to let that wreckage harden into fear, turning the pain into the very strength that carries you back out of it. It builds with tension before breaking wide open into a chorus that no longer belongs just to the band, leaving you standing taller than it found you.

Watch the Visualizer for "Liars Linger" Below:

In ELEINE’s own words:

“Have you ever trusted someone deeply? Maybe even to the point where you trust them with your life? When trust is broken, it all falls apart. It is time to open your eyes towards all that has been, is and will become. You must realize what is now, is real. But do not fear being deceived again, use the pain to rise through the lies and reclaim your freedom. 'Liars Linger' is one of the strongest choruses of the upcoming album. It’s heartbreaking yet uplifting, heavy but fragile. We hope our fans will embrace this song as much as we have.”

Stream / Listen to "Liars Linger" HERE

What began in southern Sweden has grown into a loyal global community united by music, perseverance, and the refusal to give up. Led by vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg, ELEINE have spent recent years building one of metal's most dedicated fan communities through acclaimed releases, including a #1 album on the Swedish sales charts, successful headline tours, and a direct connection with their audience that extends far beyond the stage.

Along the way, the band has shared stages with Arch Enemy, Kamelot, PAIN, Sonata Arctica and W.A.S.P., while steadily building a headline presence of their own. Their 2024 European headline tour sold out multiple dates and led directly to a second headline run in spring 2025.

ELEINE connect with nearly 700,000 followers across their social and streaming platforms, while their music videos have surpassed 60 million views on YouTube. Now with ELEINE’s new album 'Water Taste of Blood' arriving December 4th, 2026, and their most extensive European and UK headline tour already underway, ELEINE are ready to be heard on the biggest stage of their career and continue to expand the world they have built together with the Legion, their fans, who have grown alongside them and who have become the heart of the band.

From First to Last Announce "We Were Bleeding Anyway" EP Out 10/2 + Share New Video

Earlier this summer, FEARLESS RECORDS welcomed iconic, '00s band FROM FIRST TO LAST to its global roster.

The band is thrilled to announce the October 2 release of the new EP, titled WE WERE BLEEDING ANYWAY. Pre-order it/pre-save it here.

To herald the news, the band has also shared the video for new single "THEY SAID YOUR GHOST WAS A PROMISE." Watch it below.

This is no nostalgia play; this is your new millenium favorite band coming back with a vengeance unrivaled and with something important to say. "They Said Your Ghost Was A Promise" is everything fans know and love about the band — a catchy AF, hands in their air, emotional anthem front loaded with guitars, plate-shifting breakdowns, and DNA-altering singalongs that will define this period of your life. With new singer Lil Lotus confidently in the driver's seat, the band's re-energized sound pops with every note. When Lil Lotus, asks, "Do you want to" over and over in the final third of the song, the answer is a firm and resounding yes!

"'They Said Your Ghost Was a Promise' is a really special song," the band says. "It tackles the subject of loss of a loved one, and we hope it can resonate with others dealing with the same."

Formed in Florida in the early 2000s, From First to Last helped define the post-hardcore and emo scene by colliding soaring melody, chaotic aggression, and emotional songwriting. The raw, genre-blurring sound of Aesthetic, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount, and Heroine influenced generations of heavy music.

While former vocalist Sonny Moore went on to become Skrillex, founding-era guitarist Matt Good remained a driving force in modern rock, producing for Asking Alexandria, Sleeping With Sirens, Hollywood Undead, The Word Alive, Memphis May Fire, and Escape the Fate. Guitarist Travis Richter later co-founded Los Angeles venue 1720, where his path converged with vocalist Lil Lotus. Together they formed If I Die First, channeling early screamo for a new generation.

Lotus grew up seeing himself in From First to Last. His unmistakable tone, visceral screams, and perspective as a lifelong fan make his arrival feel less like a replacement than the closing of a circuit.

By recruiting original bassist Matt Manning and drummer Chris Lent (I Set My Friends on Fire), the band has found the original source code of volatile dynamics, indelible melody and human imperfection into music shaped by adult experiences of loss, survival and rebuilding.

Now signed to Fearless Records, From First to Last have returned to live stages and completed a new EP. This is not nostalgia for nostalgia's sake, but rather the next logical step: A blast from the past that refuses to live there.

Ando San Signs To Sumerian Records Releases Double A-Side "Hype Man" & "Triggas"

LA born and bred, Ando San has spent his career to date carving out his own lane, fusing introspective hip-hop with intricate progressive metal guitar work. A rapper, producer and accomplished guitarist, his music draws on everything from jazzy boom-bap to instrumental math rock, resulting in a sound that's as technically ambitious as it is emotionally honest.

Sumerian Records are proud to announce his signing. The signing marks a significant milestone for one of alternative music's most distinctive emerging voices. Speaking of joining the label, Ando says, “I am incredibly stoked to be a part of the Sumerian family. This is a huge moment for me, I have been a fan of this label since I was 15/16 years old and it's honestly insane to say that I am now signed by them. It's been a long time coming and this is only the beginning. I’m bringing the heat.

His first releases for the label, arriving hot on the heels of his recent feature on ‘Hate Figure’ on the PRESIDENT album, in the form of a double A-side, ‘Hype Man’ & ‘Triggas’.

Honestly, when I was writing ‘Hype Man’ I was incredibly inspired by “Dark Throne”, he shares. “Specifically the guitar riffs from their record “Ravishing Grimness”. Really dope album and one of my faves from “Dark Throne”. I thought it would be cool to start the song with a black metal vibe and then lead into a heavy beat. I named it “Hype Man” because at the time of recording the song I needed to hype myself up. I’m usually alone in my room making these songs and this one in particular needed that energy! I feel like you need to be your own personal “Hype Man” to get through things when you really don’t have anybody around to pump you up. It’s a super power!”

Of ‘Triggas’, he reveals, “This song is about my triggers. I have a lot of trauma. Been through many things in my life and one thing that has helped me get through those hard moments is recognising my triggers. I think triggers could be a hindrance to a person's growth. I feel like it has stunted me for some time and I recognise that the things that do trigger me are personal traumas that I have experienced in my life. Coming to terms with that has taught me many things about myself. It has taught me to see when a trigger is coming, to know how to act when I'm triggered and to let the trigger pass. We all have our own personal triggers. It's important to understand why it's triggering you and to learn to work past those triggers. I think a lot of my music is just a molten pot of all my favourite genres. The song is synth heavy with a dope UK style drill hip-hop beat with metal guitars. Literally just doing whatever sounds sick. The most important thing for me is to be artistically authentic to myself. I have to be honest about who I am as a person to get to the originality I am constantly searching for.

Ando San hits the UK for the first time later this month, supporting Don Broco, as well as ending the run with a London headliner. Following that, he'll be on tour across North America with Periphery beginning in late October (tickets here).

Outlier Release "Graveyard Masterpiece", Announce Tour with Dark Divine & Fire From The Gods

OUTLIER have released their new single and official music video, “Graveyard Masterpiece,” via Oxide Records. The release arrives alongside the announcement that the band will hit the road for an upcoming tour this October with Dark Divine and Fire From The Gods.

“Graveyard Masterpiece” is a deeply personal exploration of the experiences that shape us—love, loss, trauma, failure, and everything we endure along the way. Rather than viewing those experiences as something to escape, Outlier embrace them as the raw materials that ultimately become part of who we are.

Frontman Joey Arena explains:

“'Graveyard Masterpiece' is about realizing that none of us become who we are untouched. We’re stitched together by love, loss, trauma, failure, and everything we survive along the way. Some pieces heal, some leave scars, but they all become part of us. We don’t always get to choose what life uses to build us, we only get to choose what we become when it’s finished."

As Outlier continue their work with Oxide Records, the band is pushing forward with some of their most ambitious music to date, further establishing themselves as one of heavy music’s most thought-provoking new voices. Unafraid to challenge expectations, Outlier create music that is as introspective as it is aggressive, confronting the experiences that shape us while questioning what we ultimately choose to become.

Now, Outlier are taking that vision to the road. The band will join Dark Divine and Fire From The Gods for an upcoming tour, giving fans the opportunity to experience “Graveyard Masterpiece” and Outlier’s evolving live show firsthand.

For Outlier, the future isn't about pretending the scars aren't there. It's about turning every scar, every loss, and every piece of the past into something greater.

"Graveyard Masterpiece" is available now on all major streaming platforms.

For more information, music, and upcoming announcements, follow Outlier on social media and streaming services.

Swiss hard rock force CORELEONI is celebrating the release of their brand-new studio album Generection, out today via Reigning Phoenix Music. Packed with powerful riffs, infectious melodies and the unmistakable spirit that has defined the band from the start, the new record marks another strong chapter in CORELEONI’s journey. Adding a little extra flavour to release day, the band is also presenting their cover of the classic “Lady Marmelade”, which is available exclusively as a digital track.

Stream "Lady Marmelade" below:

Pre-order the new album Generection: https://coreleoni.rpm.link/generectionPR

Marking the band's fourth album since its formation in 2017 and the second featuring vocalist Gent Bushpepa, Generection sees CORELEONI returning to their roots with their heaviest and hardest-hitting record to date.

Built on a foundation of unreleased tracks, the album showcases the powerhouse lineup of Alex Motta (drums), Mila Merker (bass), and Jgor Gianola (guitars), standing as unshakable pillars of the band's sound. While heavier and harder than its predecessors, Generection never sacrifices warmth or atmosphere, especially in its most intimate moments. With the entire band contributing more to the songwriting than ever before, the result aligns perfectly with Leo Leoni's unmistakable signature sound.

The analog mix is one of the defining characteristics of Generection, recreating the magic of '70s and '80s recordings while injecting a modern edge. Razor-sharp riffs, driving rhythms, and just the right touch of sweetness and dimension make this an album that opens a door to the past for younger listeners while reconnecting older rockers with their roots.

Since launching CORELEONI in 2017, Leo Leoni has built the project into a celebrated hard rock force that bridges generations. With Gent Bushpepa once again delivering a commanding vocal performance and a band firing on all cylinders, Generection stands as a powerful statement of intent, honouring classic rock traditions while pushing confidently forward.

Set to be released on September 11 through Reigning Phoenix Music, Generectionis available for pre-order at: https://coreleoni.rpm.link/generectionPR

The Digipak CD edition also includes a bonus disc featuring the Live At Hallenstadion concert, recorded in Zürich, Switzerland, in July 2025 and previously available only as a digital release.

ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD Release Powerful New Single And Video "Beauty in a Body Bag"

ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD battle stigma with new single and music video, "Beauty in a Body Bag." Led by JD McGibney, the L.A. based instrumental symphonic progressive metal band present a heavy and melodic offering in this track.

ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD explain the concept behind "Beauty in a Body Bag": “This song was written to capture the dark and tormenting struggle that is so strongly associated with Borderline Personality Disorder. People with BPD often describe it as feeling like having an endless black hole of emptiness living inside of them, leaving them with an unstable and shifting self identity. As a result, BPD can be chaotic and terrifying.

'Beauty in a Body Bag' was written to give this darkness form, and allow those who are struggling to face that darkness head on in order to learn how to overcome it.”

"Beauty in a Body Bag" was a song that was originally written for JD McGibney’s old Long Island band and was subsequently rearranged for ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD. Instrumentally, the arrangement is more straightforward by design in order to highlight the band's melodic capabilities.

"Beauty in a Body Bag" was produced by ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD. The track was recorded at Counter Communications and engineered, mixed and mastered by Chris Wirsig. Produced by ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD, the music video was directed and edited by Tom Flynn.

About ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD:

Based out of Los Angeles, CA, ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD began as a side project for guitarist JD McGibney (ex-VOODOO KUNGFU) before augmenting to a full line-up in 2021. Alongside McGibney, the instrumental symphonic progressive metal band is now comprised of Jason Klein on bass (ex-BUTCHER BABIES), Eddie Trager on drums (ex-NEKROGOBLIKON) and Chris Wirsig on keyboards (award winning TV and film composer).

The ethos of the band is to empower listeners through music, to assist individuals who are fighting on their own battlefields and to help them find courage. ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD strive to improve awareness of and discourse around mental illness through the power of heavy metal. The band made their live debut at the 2022 "This Is My Brave" mental health fundraiser, where the band helped to raise around $30,000 to donate to local Los Angeles mental health charities.

2024 saw ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD open for Taiwanese folk metal artist NiNi at her debut USA headline show in November of 2024. In the following year, the quartet embarked on their debut headline West Coast tour across October/November of 2025.

In 2025, ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD's 2024 single release "Modern Prometheus" was long listed in the 2025 GRAMMY Awards in three categories: Best Metal Performance, Best Instrumental Composition and Best Arrangement - Instrumental or A Capella. Additionally, "Modern Prometheus" was nominated in the Hollywood Independent Music Awards in 2025.

More recently the band unveiled their haunting interpretation of "Phantom of the Opera" featuring guitarist Eli Santana (IGNITE, ex-HUNTRESS, ex-HOLY GRAIL), and showcased their untamable power in their cover of "Poison" featuring ANTHEA.

ANGELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD is:

JD McGibney - Guitar
Jason Klein - Bass
Chris Wirsig - Keyboard/Orchestration
Eddie Trager - Drums

Suicide Silence Share Video for Title Track of New Album "Graceless" Out 11/20

Deathcore didn't invent itself.

The crushing combination of classic death metal ferocity with hardcore-punk spirit was created in garages and grimy venues. It was celebrated on message boards, in comment sections, and in sweaty, anarchic spaces where hardcore kids and death metal obsessives gathered. As the burgeoning sub-genre formed, teenage metalheads dared one another to get heavier. SUICIDE SILENCE made their logo synonymous with the most volatile and definitive stomp of the postmodern sound. Since their first rumblings in California's Inland Empire in the early 21st Century, the band's fusion of sonic violence, punk confrontation, and unapologetic nü-metal bounce put a fresh face on extreme metal.

They are thrilled to share "Graceless," the title track from their upcoming album, which is set for release on November 20.

The band comments, "This is the title track off our new record. It's a short 'n' sweet crusher that gives you a taste of what this record is all about. Check out our podcast where we go in detail about the song, video and album."

Watch the ferocious video, which captures the essence of what put deathcore on the map in the early 2000s, below.

Be sure to check out the accompanying podcast, which offers in-depth background information on "Graceless," here.

First pre-orders are available here.

SUICIDE SILENCE remain stubbornly communal. They have always written best with bodies in a room, amps cranked, and friendly arguments evolving into arrangements. That collective instinct gives Graceless its strange comfort amid the chaos. It is vicious, ugly, physical, immediate, and fully inhabited by a band that survived every argument about what it was supposed to be.

As Garza puts it, the goal was to "just get out of the way and serve that band logo. When we choose to do that, great things follow. We're back to doing it exactly as we did it when we were kids: Just playing heavy shit and doing it from the heart."

"Deathcore" was once a word thrown at them as a limit. Today, it's a flag planted in the dirt. 24 years after their first noise from SoCal, SUICIDE SILENCE stand in rare company: Survivors who never mistook endurance for safety, craftsmen more than capable of making instinct sound like impact. Graceless is the circle closing, hard, with newly sharpened teeth, hungry for future conquest.

First on their agenda is the North American "Reminders of Hell" headlining tour, featuring support from Emmure, AngelMaker, and Synestia.

Postpunk-Shoegaze stalwarts A SHORELINE DREAM reflects on two rich decades on ‘20’, announcing 'Waiting' album

Twenty years since their debut album ‘Avoiding the Consequences’, Colorado postpunk-shoegaze outfit A Shoreline Dream mark the milestone with '20', a dark and deeply introspective single that looks back on the distance traveled while questioning what remains ahead. It also previews their new album ‘Waiting’, released via Latenight Weeknight Records

With brooding lyrics, '20' turns the anniversary into something far more personal than a celebration. This is a head-on confrontation with time, uncertainty, sacrifice, and the weight of devoting so much of one's life to music.  Hitting it hard and merging genres into one loaded number, this blast of "melodispych cave-of-the-well sound", as it has been called, is an appropriate way to celebrate the nearly 120 tracks the band has released to date - cavernous offers rooted in waves and inner-eye soundscapes.

Formed in 2005 and based in Barnum, Colorado,A Shoreline Dream is aduo of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ryan Policky and guitaristErik Jeffries. For just over two decades, Policky and Jeffries have built a catalog approaching 120 released tracks while developing a sound rooted in shoegaze, psychedelia, post-punk, and expansive guitar-driven experimentation.

“The track '20' just somehow came together so fluid and was just all my favorite sounds combined into one memory of our sound. Paying homage to our original vibes from way back when. I love goth. Love darkwave. Love huge walls of any genres sound, and this was trying to hit them all at once. Why not do something big at such a crazy place to be in this music career of ASD," says frontman Ryan Policky.

This single arrives on the heels of ‘Legacy’, which similarly reflects on the time, choices, and sacrifices behind one of Colorado’s longest-running independent music projects. A sludging, bass pumping song that reflects thoughts agout all that has been sacrificed - so many of the normal everyday life milestones achieves in the band's sometimes tragic, yet rewarding, legacy.

As they near this 20th anniversary, A Shoreline Dream look at that history from a deeply personal perspective. Years spent writing, recording, producing, and refining A Shoreline Dream's music have often meant choosing the demands of the creative process over many of the conventional milestones of everyday life. The song considers what remains when so much of a life has been devoted to making music, and whether the work itself ultimately becomes the legacy.

The release comes during one of the band's most prolific periods. Rather than treating 2026 as a year of reflection, A Shoreline Dream committed to releasing singles every month, while developing new material towards ‘Waiting’, the band's second full-length album of 2026, which will include nine tracks.

Their current creative roll follows a significant period of collaboration with Ride frontman Mark Gardener. Through A Shoreline Dream's partnership with Shameless Promotion PR, Policky and Gardener connected for a series of recordings that resulted in five co-produced and performed songs, the most recent of these appearing on the album ‘To Where They Have Gone’, released in February.

That relationship is part of A Shoreline Dream's love affair with the UK music community. The band has worked extensively with Ulrich Schnauss and has also collaborated with members of Engineers, Chapterhouse, Rocket Girl Records, and mastering engineer Mark Kramer (Urge Overkill, Bongwater, Shimmy Records).

“2026 has been the year of true sonic inspiration, and the first time I’ve found myself in a constant music writing mode. After working with Mark Gardener, my mind has been humming melodies to me daily," says Ryan Policky.

That renewed creative momentum has also been shaped by the world outside the studio. The response has been to make music that provides an alternative to that noise: music that is melodic, heavy, expansive, and immersive.

“It’s been a brutal human climate, and the distractions are so overwhelming in the media / toxic social media world. I’m f’ing over it. I just want explosive and melodic tunes to distract from this insane world, and these songs are exactly that. The tales of dealing with a world in chaos I hope resonate with all those out there looking for new musical vibes and explosive soundscapes. We have come back to the original feeling of A Shoreline Dream," says Ryan Policky.

ASD's 'Waiting' album arrives not as a retrospective statement, but as a marker of where they stand now. With Policky and Jeffries having maintained their creative partnership through changing musical landscapes and an evolving industry, 'Waiting' is their response to reaching the 20-year milestone by a band looking back without standing still. While ‘Legacy’ and '20' acknowledge an event-filled journey, ‘Waiting’ points firmly toward what comes next.

As of September 11, '20' is available from digital music platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, where 'Legacy' can also be found. The ‘Waiting’ album will be released on October 16th.

MIRANDA LAMBERT SCORES SEVEN CMA NOMINATIONS ARTIST ** PRODUCER ** SONGWRITER

Miranda Lambert, the Texas-born songwriting force and high-impact performer, received seven nominations for “The 60th Annual CMA Awards,” making her the second-most nominated artist for 2026 and increasing her tally as the most-nominated female artist of all time with 70 career nods. Beyond making history with her record-breaking 19th Female Vocalist of the Year nomination, she received a pair of Musical Event nominations for the double GRAMMY nominated “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton and the recently released “Horses and Divorces” with Kacey Musgraves.

“When they told me it was the record, I was a little emotional,” Lambert admits. “Having always challenged myself to reach further, write or find better songs – to really make music that spoke to other women where they were, but anyone wherever, however they were living their life and needed a song to sing – it hit me both how long I’ve been doing this and how many great songs I’ve been blessed to be a part of. It’s the greatest honor to know this music hits people in the heart.”

Beyond her own music, Lambert’s role as co-writer and co-producer for Ella Langley yielded not only 2026’s biggest song in any genre, “Choosin’ Texas,” but it helped Langley become this year’s most-nominated artist overall. Lambert shares nominations in the Album category for Dandelion and Single for both “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her” with Langley and fellow producer Ben West. Lambert also receives a Song of the Year nomination for co-writing “Choosin’ Texas” with Langley, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor.

“I still have a hard time believing that the thing I started doing because I loved it became my career,” marveled Lambert following this morning’s announcement. “After all these years, getting to have firsts – to step into something new, help another artist bring their vision to life and discover something I haven’t done before – keeps it exciting and inspiring for me. These nominations are special because they remind me there are still ways to be inspired and help create something I’m proud of with people I believe in.”

Having started singing in bars as a 16-year-old in braids, Lambert built her swagger-forward country on songwriter-driven legends including Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and David Allan Coe, while absorbing the detailed emotional storytelling of John Prine, Guy Clark and Emmylou Harris. The most-awarded woman in CMA history, Lambert forged a style that merged honest Texas bar-room aesthetics with a sensitivity to hard places that gave her headlong bravado real meaning.

Having won two Album of the Year Awards – 2010 for Revolution and 2014 for Platinum, as well as Song and Single of the Year among plenty, keeping her focus on the music has driven the woman who created the Pistol Annies with friends Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, recorded myriad duets with everyone from Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood to Prine, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, as well as Don Henley and Mick Jagger, then started Big Loud Texas with friend Jon Randall to establish a label for Texas artists to protect their roots and establish careers that would sustain them.

And with all that, she’s just finished Crisco, inspired by the disco-meets-country boom that defined a slice of Texas country in the ‘70s and ‘80s. The eagerly anticipated Oct. 2 release, which features the Stapleton duet plus “Sunset Marquis,” the theme from the documentary “If These Walls Could Rock” about the legendary hotel, was one of The New York Times’ “34 Albums and Shows We’re Looking Forward to This Fall” selections. Lead critic Jon Pareles praised the album, “which leans toward the retro and the countrypolitan, complete with string arrangements, for a knowingly nostalgic sound and attitude.”

The 60th annual CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, Disney+ and next day on Hulu.

ERIC CHURCH REFLECTS ON THE MILES THAT MADE HIM IN NEW SONG “ON THE ROAD” OUT NOW

11-time GRAMMY nominee Eric Church has spent the better part of two decades turning the road into both a stage and a source of inspiration. Today, he releases new song “On The Road” via MCA, looking back at the iconic venues he’s played, the legends he’s shared the stage with and the moments that have shaped a life driven by a musical dream – all while proving the man Esquire dubbed “one of the most singular working artists in any genre” still has plenty of miles ahead. Listen BELOW.

Written by Church and produced by longtime collaborator Jay Joyce, “On The Road” traces the winding path of Church’s career through the memories that stay with him: playing to 50,000 people beneath the Northern Lights, taking the stage at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks and sharing the stage with artists who helped define the music he came to make, including Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and George Strait.

But the road has also carried moments no artist could ever anticipate. In one of the song’s most poignant lines, Church reflects on the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy as he sings, “I’ve seen the devil stop a show in Vegas / I’ve seen those angels get their forever wings.” Set alongside memories of career-defining stages and once-in-a-lifetime moments, the lines acknowledge the full weight of a life spent on the road.

As an artist who has become a North Star for a generation of musicians coming up behind him, Church turns that idea inward. The people and places that shaped him are now part of the path he’s paved for those following in his footsteps, and “On The Road” considers what it means to spend a life moving forward, knowing that someday the road will belong to someone else.

Lookin’ back you think it’d seem so long, this winding path that I’ve been rollin’ on,” Church sings, before arriving at the song’s ultimate realization: one day he’ll be “just a name on a wall, and some other cowboy will hear the call.”

“There’s something about a life on the road where the miles start to blur together, yet the people and the moments never do,” shared Church. “Those are the things you carry with you. You realize how much of who you are was shaped somewhere between one town and the next, and maybe that’s why you never really stop wondering what’s waiting down the road.”

From the artists who inspired him to the artists now following his path, “On The Road” captures the continuing cycle of a life in music: the stages changing hands, the songs carrying stories forward and the next generation finding its own reason to answer the call.

Fire Action Share "Midnight Avenue" Video — WATCH

With the current album Until The Heat Dies released in 2024, Finnish Heavy rocker FIRE ACTION deliver now a brand new version of their anthemic album finale "Midnight Avenue."

Watch the video below.

"Midnight Avenue" is showcasing the band's entire arsenal. The level of energy here is phenomenal, the upbeat nature too, the Finnish heavy rockers ending their debut full-length effort very much on a high, and with the most sing a long-able chorus to boot!

Guitarist Juri Vuortama reveals that the song is about a scary real-life incident that happened to him in Paris one night, saying, "I came across the filming location of one of my favorite movies, Roman Polanski's The Ninth Gate, on Île Saint-Louis alongside the Seine river, and wanted to have a photo taken of me standing on the same stairs where one weird scene in that film took place. Three photos were taken, but only in the middle one, someone or something is sitting behind me. It's a really scary figure, and to this day I have not found out what it was. That's the 'Evil rendez-vouz' in the song."

Get Out Alive Release "Saint of the Dark" EP Today // Share Title Track — LISTEN

Get Out Alive have released the new EP, Saint of the Dark, today via The Artery Foundation. Get it here.

The artist has also shared the title track, as well. Listen below.

"'Saint of the Dark' revolves around mental health and exploring faith to navigate," Get Out Alive says. "The name is inspired by Carl Jung's shadow theory. To be a 'Saint of the Dark' requires enough virtue to embrace the dark, rather than run from it. It also requires accepting the risk of upsetting others in the pursuit of truth. It's not an archetype for everyone. Experience beautiful vulnerable moments clashing with confusion, desperation, and even some anger. This EP is a spiritual awakening loaded with melodic vocals and alternative metal atmosphere.”

As for the EP's accompanying title track, GOA says, "'Saint of the Dark' is about the tug of war between virtue and pleasure. The desperate feeling of slipping away from the light, trying to hold on with all you have. Sonically, this song leans into being the ballad of the EP, but don't expect a lack of intensity."

Get Out Alive is the brain trust of Chas Huff, a solo alternative metal artist originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, who later relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. His musical journey began in high school, producing on a borrowed computer before stepping into the local scene as a performer. Over the years, he played in multiple bands, including a punk band which shared stages with acts like Puddle of Mudd, and later a group that opened for artists such as Fame on Fire, collaborated with notable features, and secured a distribution deal. He further expanded his reach through an international project earning another distribution deal and working alongside recognized collaborators.

After years of band experiences and setbacks, Chas shifted his focus toward his solo project, Get Out Alive, creating a fully independent outlet for his artistic vision. Self-produced and developed alongside collaborator Zack Baker (Rain City Drive), his sound blends heavy riffs, immersive atmosphere, melodic vocals, and emotionally driven, hook-focused songwriting. Outside collaborations and industry opportunities ultimately reinforced his decision to invest fully in his solo path.

Born out of isolation and personal struggle, Chas uses Get Out Alive as more than just music, it serves as a self-help-driven creative expression rooted in growth, faith, and introspection. Influenced by psychology and philosophy, his work explores the balance between light and dark while embracing raw honesty. Through his music, he aims to turn pain into purpose, offering listeners both emotional release and a sense of hope, grounded in the belief that to truly get out alive, you must face the truth.

GREEN LUNG - Release New Studio Album "Necropolitan" & Visualizer For 'Dance To The Grave'

The long-awaited fourth album from Green Lung is finally upon us. The masters of occult riff-craft have officially released Necropolitan, which is out now via Nuclear Blast Records. A huge step forward in songwriting and vision, Necropolitan is the album Green Lung have been threatening to make since their inception.

As well as a portrait of the triumph and power of death and nature over the dreams and dominion of humankind, Necropolitan is a grand celebration of the folklore, occult and heavy music scene of the band’s birthplace, the city of London. The album title derives from the seven garden cemeteries (necropoli) circling the city, all built in the Victorian era.

Green Lung stated:
"As the summer dies, the shadows start to move… Necropolitan is finally here. Thanks to everyone who has preordered, supported or spread the word about this album over the past few months – we are eternally grateful, and can’t wait for you to finally hear it. To celebrate the release, we commissioned Joseph Brett at Jackdaw Films to animate Richard Wells’s art and create our own danse macabre. Dance to the grave!’"

Today, the band have also revealed a visualiser for 'Dance to the Grave', the record's first track. The song delivers a memento mori to the current alliance between far-right politics and tech in the face of the climate crisis, with giant, swinging riffs and a chant-along mid-section.

With producer Tom Dalgety (OpethGhost) at the helm, this time handling everything from recording to mixing, the band decamped to Rockfield Studios in January 2026, following in the muddy footprints of some of their key inspirations, from Black Sabbath to Queen to Judas Priest. Sonically, they were set on capturing their megalithic live sound more accurately than ever - stripping back their usual dense, multilayered arrangements to their rawest, leanest form and recording much of the album live to capture their Sabbathian heaviness, frenzied Hammonds and haunting Mellotrons as faithfully as possible.

The result is an album that combines the soaring hookiness of This Heathen Land with an uncompromising rawness and heaviness, and takes the band’s distinctive brand of sonic storytelling to macabre new heights.

If, a year after Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning show and the death of Ozzy Osbourne, you had any doubts about the future of traditional British metal, Necropolitan will lay them to rest. Here is a band taking the torch from the heavy metal godfathers and running with it, bursting with all the musicianship and storytelling flair that has kept the genre’s flame burning for a half-century, and using it to temper a lyrical and sonic world that is entirely their own.

A cult band in every sense of the word, Green Lung emerged from London’s heavy rock scene with self-released debut EP Free the Witch (2018).

Drawing on a host of peculiarly British musical influences, from doomy hard rock to pastoral prog and psych to the Hammer Horror theatrics of the NWOBHM, the band have swiftly risen to the forefront of the UK metal scene.

Lyrically celebrating the folklore, myths and legends of Britain, they conjure the wild and witchy spirit of their forebears for a new generation.

Green Lung have released three critically acclaimed albums, Woodland Rites (2019), Black Harvest (2021) and This Heathen Land (2023). They have toured internationally with ClutchOpeth and Unto Others, and performed on festival stages from Roadburn to Download. Their latest album This Heathen Land landed at #1 on the UK’s Official Rock and Metal Album Chart.

Progressive Duo CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE Explore Restraint And Internal Pressure In The New Single, "The Waiting Storm"

In "The Waiting Storm," CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE present an immersive sonic offering representing internal turmoil between patience and appeasing a restless mind. The track lands ahead of their forthcoming album Primordial Reverie Ascendant, out January 8, 2027.

"The song centers on restraint and internal pressure," CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE explain. "This is heard in lines like 'I sit and lie in wait, a tempest ruminating'. As the track progresses, the 'beast' and 'storm' imagery point to something growing beneath the surface. An increasing urgency that can no longer be ignored. What begins as patience shifts toward inevitability.

Outside of the narrative, the lyrics also reflect periods of creative stagnation. Lulls in momentum where progress feels stalled. That tension between inactivity and pressure mirrors the track’s central themes."

Musically, "The Waiting Storm" contains the duo's most straightforward arrangement on Primordial Reverie Ascendant's track list. The song's catchy riffs convey a darker mood throughout the verses accompanied with fierce harsh screams. "The Waiting Storm" emerges into a soaring chorus with memorable lead vocal melody lines.

Primordial Reverie Ascendant was produced, mixed and mastered by Ryan Koepke at Chromatic Variable Soundworks. The album cover artwork was created by Alex Eckman-Lawn (Original Artwork), with the Ascendant version and single artworks by Ryan Koepke.

About CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE:

CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE began in 2024 by British Columbia-based multi-instrumentalist Ryan Koepke as an instrumental project. Musically, Koepke seeks to produce grand soundscapes through carefully constructed layers of instrumental textures and tones. A key component of CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE is chaos and unpredictability. Emotive storytelling is interwoven through each track's arrangement.

Following the release of the instrumental album, Primordial Reverie, in 2025, Chad Bernatchez (VOIDCHASER) joined CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE which led to a progression in creative direction to now incorporate clean and harsh vocals. With input from Bernatchez, the new release delves further into CEPHEIDAE VARIABLE's fictional realms bringing a new way of understanding the concepts first glimpsed in Primordial Reverie.

Then Comes Silence share 'Remaker Redeemer', second taste of 'Requiem Ballroom' album

Stockholm post-punk trio Then Comes Silence presents 'Remaker Redeemer', the second single from their forthcoming 'Requiem Ballroom' album, due in November via Metropolis Records. The music video, filmed by Damon Zurawski of Future Legends Films, captures the song perfectly, descending into the space between death and rebirth, where the final journey into darkness becomes a passage toward transformation, renewal and the possibility of another world.

Then Comes Silence has also just launched their European tour, which runs throughout September and October, bringing them to venues and like-minded music lovers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy and Czech Republic, before returning home to Sweden for the final show on this leg.

A tightly focused trio since 2022, Then Comes Silence was formed in 2012 by vocalist-bassist Alex Svenson in 2012. Drummer Jonas Fransson and guitarist Hugo Zombie, round out the band in its most direct, powerful and uncompromising form. One of the leading names on today’s goth, post-punk and darkwave scene, they are driven by a fascination with horror, the occult and the raw intensity of underground music, having forged a distinctive sound and a devoted international following.

The 'Requiem Ballroom' album itself is divided into two parts: 'Ballroom' was mixed by Jon Bordon (Nicole Sabouné, Melody Club, The Exploding Boy) and the 'Requiem' half was mixed by Tom van Heesch (Rammstein, Apocalyptica, Backyard Babies)Svante Forsbäck / Chartmakers (Rammstein, Amaranthe, Ville Valo, The Rasmus, Apocalyptica) assumed mastering duties.

"'Remaker Redeemer' introduces the second part of the album 'Requiem Ballroom'. It’s about new life, and being reborn with the old sins washed away. A kind of cleansing, a fresh start, and the feeling of beginning again. The choice of instruments and sound on this track is a way to explore something different this time," says Alex Svenson.

"Death is generally regarded, across many cultures, as the final blackout where nothing follows. Yet in another sense, death can also serve as a metaphor for change and transformation. To take the next step, change is inevitable."

Then Comes Silence earlier released 'Judgement Day', a driving anthem that embraces failure, reckless choices and the thrill of living without regrets, embracing a final celebration before the inevitable reckoning. The vivid behind-the-scenes documentary by Marzipan Moonlight offers a glimpse into the video's creation and the thriving spirit of Stockholm's goth community.

With the German post-punk scene their second home, Then Comes Silence has toured relentlessly for years. Continually expanding their geographic reach, they have cemented their reputation as one of the scene’s hardest working bands. With several releases through Metropolis Records, they have further strengthening their international presence. Their impending eighth album follows ‘Trickery’ (2024) and'Hunger' (2022), jointly released by Metropolis and Nexilis Records / Schubert Music.

With dark atmospheres, driving rhythms, razor-sharp hooks and explosive performances, Then Comes Silence continue to push forward. They have earned their place at the forefront of the modern gothic rock and post-punk movement, proving themselves to be a vital contemporary live acts with frequent touring across North America, Latin America and Europe.

Then Comes Silence have shared the stage with acts such as The Fields of the Nephilim, Clan of Xymox, The Chameleons, A Place To Bury Strangers, Pink Turns Blue and The Bellwether Syndicate, while appearing at many of Europe’s premier alternative festivals, including M’era Luna, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Amphi Festival, Castle Party, Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival and W-Festival.

On September 11, 'Remaker Redeemer' is out everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where their latest 'Trickery' album is available on vinyl and CD. The 'Requiem Ballroom" album will be released on November 20. Concert tickets can be obtained at https://linktr.ee/tcsontour

HIGH PARASITE - Featuring Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride - Launches New Single "The Screams That Come" + Visualizer

Today, HIGH PARASITE, the UK outfit fronted by Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride and more recently Towards The Sinister, proudly release a new stand-alone single, “The Screams That Come,” out now via Spinefarm alongside a visualizer.

Produced by Paradise Lost’s Gregor Mackintosh and mixed by Lawrence Mackrory (Meshuggah, Katatonia, etc.), the track aligns with HIGH PARASITE’s mainstage performance at London Metalfest 2026; the band will appear at the Electric Ballroom in Camden on a bill headlined by Swedish Doom legends Candlemass.

HIGH PARASITE will also be visiting Raven Records in Camden, a short walk from the Ballroom, for a signing session at 7.30pm.

HIGH PARASITE shares:

“We’ve coined the term ‘Death Pop’ to define our music; we definitely have a strong affinity with all things gothic and dark, but at the same time we’re collectively drawn to strong hooks and melodies, to choruses that stick in the mind. I guess we walk a shadowy, sometimes twisted path between those two worlds; you can hear it on ‘The Screams That Come,’ and even more on the second album. It’s like the vampire’s smile: seemingly welcoming, at least at a distance, but boy, those teeth are razor sharp!”

Since releasing ‘Forever We Burn,’ their debut album, in September 2024, the five-piece have spent a lot of time out on the road in both the UK & Europe, guesting on major tours (Cradle Of Filth, Paradise Lost), appearing at festivals (Bloodstock, Rockstadt, Brutal Assault, Eindhoven Metal Meeting, Furiosfest and many more) and headlining shows of their own.

A Halloween headliner has recently been confirmed for October 31st at the Albany Arcade inHalifax; which is likely to be the last HIGH PARASITE live show of 2026.

In between touring, the band has spent time in the studio working on album number two, scheduled for release early next year. More details and music soon.

Fearless Welcomes German Metalcore Force Our Promise to the Roster + Band Shares "Spite" Video

Fearless Records is thrilled to welcome German metalcore force OUR PROMISE to the label's global roster.

They have shared "SPITE," their debut single for the label.

Watch the video below

"Spite" deals with the realization that staying quiet and keeping the peace often comes at your own expense. The track moves from the quiet memories of giving in to a powerful outburst of self-determination. It's an honest, cathartic release for anyone who's tired of putting themselves second.

Vocalist Rafael Andronic states, "I wrote this song when I finally got tired of choking back my own voice just to keep the peace. For years, I let people cross my boundaries, storing every unspoken 'no' inside until my own mind felt like an archive of quiet defeat. This track is the exact moment of realization. That archive catches fire and those synaptic chains of spite take over to turn years of suppressed anger into pure fuel. It's about the moment you realize you've been fed scraps and called it love. I hope anyone who feels trapped in their own silence listens to this, feels that spark, and finds the courage to tear down the expectations holding them back."

What started as a group of friends in Germany in late 2020 has turned into a true underdog story. Built entirely from the ground up through sheer hustle and relentless optimism, the band’s journey from local up-and-comers to an international touring act is grounded in gratitude, grit, and a deeply authentic connection to the people who believed in them first. That grassroots momentum has taken them across 18 countries in the EU and UK, turning packed rooms on their debut headline tour and major festival stages like Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, and Impericon into milestones shared with a fiercely loyal global community.

Now, staying true to the grind that got them here, Our Promise are taking their biggest leap forward.  The band packed its bags and flew to Los Angeles to record their first Fearless tracks alongside producer Curt Martin (Catch Your Breath, Rain City Drive).

"Spite" closes the book on their chapter as a fully independent band, marking their official signing to Fearless Records and proving that big dreams backed by real work can take you all the way.
