SEVEN SPIRES celebrates the five year anniversary of their acclaimed album 'Emerald Seas' with a re-recorded version of "The Road", which is accompanied by a music video.

"The Road", originally only released as a bonus track on the Japan edition of 'Emerald Seas', has now been revitalized with new recording, mixing, and mastering as well as featuring Dylan Gowan's drumming on a recorded SEVEN SPIRES song for the first time.

About the re-recorded version of "The Road", the band comments:

"'The Road' was a very fun and special song that was originally the exclusive bonus track for the Japanese release of our second album, 'Emerald Seas'. It’s hard to believe it, but now, for the album’s 5-year anniversary, we wanted to give a facelift and update to this track and release it for the rest of the world to enjoy.

"Aside from a couple of orchestral and keyboard parts, this version of 'The Road' is entirely re-recorded, remixed, and remastered, including Dylan Gowan’s fantastic drumming for the first time on a recorded SEVEN SPIRES song. It’s a fitting one, because Dylan basically jumped in the deep end with our recent show schedule, and as you can see from the accompanying video we put together for the release, it’s been nothing but a blast having him on tour with us!

SEVEN SPIRES is an American symphonic metal band. The multilayered and unpredictable 2012 album 'Oikoumene' from THEODOR BASTARD, inherits the band's recognizable multi-genre approach where psychedelic trip hop, combined with cinematic instrumentals and archaic world music, meets modern technological electronics. THEODOR BASTARD combine Russian texts with glossolalia and shamanic spells as easily as they change instruments on stage.

THEODOR BASTARD is one of Russia's most unusual bands representing the electronic Karelian neofolk genre. Also elements of dark wave and trip hop are present in the band's music. The message doesn't carry out everyday problems and is mainly focused on mythology and shamanism. The hallmarks of the band are the unique and bewitching lead vocals of multi-talent Yana Veva and the impeccable sound producing skills of Fedor Svolotch, founder of the band who created the band 20 years ago.

From album to album, THEODOR BASTARD carefully and masterly combine many different exotic and traditional instruments. The special northern atmosphere of their albums is created with Nordic nyckelharpa and jouhikko, primeval flutes created from tree roots and shamanic percussion.

He continues: "This is a harsh northern region with unpredictable nature, with spruce and pine forests. Bears are found here. Moose and hare come straight to my house. In Karelia there are beautiful cliffs and clear lakes with fresh water. These are our personal places of power, the places where stones and winds are talking to us. THEODOR BASTARD's music is set out to take listeners to unexplored and other worlds. From the cold and twilight realms of the marshy swamps of taiga and mossy tundra, to unexplored places where the earthly plane and the spiritual world are separated only by a thin ghostly veil. THEODOR BASTARD consists of 6 musicians, turning their performances into a dark magic act that sends the audience back to Northern musical traditions, to the Karelian and the Russian folk. Austria's crossover thrash formation INSANITY ALERT are proud to release the re-issue of their second full length "Moshburger", which was originally released back in 2016. The world of INSANITY ALERT is a dark yet happy place. Fast, aggressive music, crazy lyrics about alcohol, rage, weed, ignorance and hate, all drenched in an 80’s hot sauce but played with a 2019 attitude. The band emerged from the Austrian city of Innsbruck in 2011, with only one intent: deliver crushing, crossover party thrash.
 

A tongue-in-cheek concept backed up by strong musical prowess worked out extremely well as ‘First Diagnosis’ proved in 2012. This demo was welcomed with open arms and the first impression of the public quickly confirmed by ‘Second Opinion’, which came out the year after. In 2014, debut album, ‘Insanity Alert’ delighted critics and fans alike and was reissued four years later by Season of Mist. The wild Tyrolians, always eager to please, next served a juicy ‘Moshburger’ (2016).
 

With ‘666-pack’ (2019) the band proves once more to be an unstoppable force. Whether it is dropping a to-the-point, crossover track such as “The Body Of The Christ is The Parasite” or INSANITY ALERT-esque interpretations of classics like “Saturday Grind Fever”, the groove will have you headbanging in no time with a smirk on your face. A Different Beat, was Moore’s 12th solo album, where he explored new areas of blues and rock. This album has never previously been released on vinyl, and contains new liner notes written by Dave Everley. Gary Moore rocked the world of Blues and Rock with his virtuoso guitar playing and soulful voice. Best known for his evocative solo hits, Parisienne Walkways and Still Got the Blues, and his on/off membership of Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore’s solo career comprises over twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, Gary moved up the rock hierarchy, but turned his back on what he regarded as the empty flash of metal and reverted to his heart music – the blues – where ironically he scored his biggest commercial success through his 1990s and 2000s blues albums.

Among the greatest heavy metal singers of all time, Dio’s career spanned five decades, touched millions of fans and pioneered his signature “devil’s horns,” one of the most popular hand gestures in the world. Dio also provided vocals, lyrics, and melodies for some of the most iconic rock albums of all time with Black Sabbath and Rainbow, before establishing his own band Dio as a metal force with their 1983 debut Holy Diver.

The new Holy Diver: Super Deluxe Edition comes with two versions of the original album. The first is a new mix of the album made by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Slipknot). He used the original analog tapes to remix all nine tracks on the album. The second is a newly remastered version of the original 1983 mix. The Super Deluxe Edition also features unreleased live performances and outtakes, along with a selection of rarities from the era.

In addition, Barresi’s new mix of Holy Diver will also be released on July 8 as a 2-LP set on 180-gram vinyl. It includes the original nine tracks, plus the 1983 B-side version of “Evil Eyes” as a bonus track. Side four is decorated with an etching of the legendary demon Murry that graces the album’s iconic cover. The vinyl is kept in a gatefold sleeve that shows off newly commissioned artwork by longtime Dio artist, Marc Sasso. The same artwork is also used for the 4-CD Super Deluxe Edition.

After departing Black Sabbath in early 1982, Dio began composing songs that would eventually appear on the album. After writing both “Holy Diver” and “Don’t Talk To Strangers,” Dio then assembled an amazing group of musicians, two familiar faces and one fresh recruit, with drummer Vinny Appice (Dio’s Black Sabbath bandmate), bassist/keyboardist Jimmy Bain (Dio’s Rainbow bandmate) and guitarist Vivian Campbell joining him to record the Holy Diver album.

In the illustrated liner notes that accompany the Super Deluxe Edition, music journalist Mick Wall shares the album’s creation story, including the making of its crown jewel, “Rainbow In The Dark.”

Holy Diver: Super Deluxe Edition goes beyond the original album with a previously unreleased recording of the quartet performing live in 1983 at Selland Arena in Fresno, California during the Holy Diver Tour. Wyn Davis mixed the concert recording, which spotlights live versions of songs from Holy Diver (“Stand Up And Shout” and “Rainbow In The Dark”), Rainbow classics (“Man On The Silver Mountain” and “Starstruck”), and Sabbath staples, (“Children Of The Sea” and “Heaven And Hell.”)

The Super Deluxe Edition also revisits the Holy Diver recording sessions to uncover unreleased outtakes for several album cuts, including unheard takes for “Invisible,” “Straight Through The Heart,” and a version of “Rainbow In The Dark” that boasts an alternative guitar solo. There’s also an early version of “Evil Eyes,” a song that would resurface on Dio’s 1984 follow-up album, The Last in Line. A selection of rarities rounds out the new collection with mono and stereo 7” single edits for “Rainbow In The Dark” and a version of “Evil Eyes” that was released in 1983 as the B-side to “Holy Diver.”

But there is a secret in it: the berries are not only poisonous, but also curative - if you know. CHRISTIAN DEATH Reissues 'Atrocities' on LP + CD

Gothic death rock pioneers CHRISTIAN DEATH will be reissuing their dark 1986 opus, 'Atrocities,' on both CD and vinyl format via Season of Mist on July 9! In addition to being available in standard black vinyl, the LP will also be available on a limited edition sun yellow 12" vinyl (33 rpm).

Founded in Los Angeles in 1979 by Rozz Williams, the hugely-influential band trail-blazed the American goth and death-rock movement with their debut album, 'Only Theatre of Pain' (1982) and genre-defining 'Catastrophe Ballet' (1984) and 'Ashes' (1985). Of these, 'Ashes' is a true testament to the CHRISTIAN DEATH legacy, as it marks the final appearance of the classic band lineup. 'Ashes' features the final recordings of founder Rozz Williams alongside current CHRISTIAN DEATH main-man Valor Kand, vocalist-keyboardist Gitane Demone and drummer David Glass before Williams' untimely demise in 1998.

About 'Atrocities'

Recorded at Rockfield Studios Monmouth, Wales, UK (famous for recording "Bohemian Rhapsody" with Queen)

The Studio features several buildings in a remote farm village, one of which, according to local tradition, is allegedly haunted, and as experienced by certain members of Christian Death.

Flesh & Blood was a short lived super-group put together by Mark Mangold (Touch, Drive She Said) on keyboards, Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) on vocals, Al Pitrelli (Savatage, Joe Lynn Turner, Alice Cooper) on guitar, Chuck Bonfante (Saraya, Drive She Said) on drums and Mitch Distefano on bass.

Blues For Daze is bluesy-based hard rock...classic rock mixing upbeat rockers and atmospheric mid-tempo / ballads with more than a hint of AOR / Melodic Rock. Keyboardist Mark Mangold had this to say about the re-issue, “So thrilled to be revisiting our bluesy funky side, with the bonus tracks, and hanging with friends. I love listening to this album. Mamma say stank."

Vaughn & Co. rock out to Feel the Power, Shake Ya Tail Feather, title track Blues For Daze (Mr. Blue)" and I Know Where You Been, then chill out for the beautiful Bed of Roses, Jenny Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Man Enough and the classic "Voodoo Moon". Danny gives us his take on this album, ‘Blues For Daze’ is one of my favorite albums that I have ever done. It came at a time when I needed a change, and its ultra cool, bluesy roots gave me a chance to go vocally exploring in a place that I had always wanted to go but had always been worried that maybe I didn't have "the stuff" that it takes. It's up to the listener to decide if I came through or not but, inspired by such a tremendous group of songs and such wonderfully talented players, I gave it my all from the first to the last note. That's how it's supposed to be.”

Recorded in the mid-Nineties, ‘Blues For Daze’ became an out of print collectors piece. The band reformed in the fall of 2020, to record two new songs and their sound clearly remains the same on "Ready To Roll", and Danny Vaughn shines with an acoustic version of "Riverside", showing off not only his vocal chops, but also playing acoustic guitar and blues harp. CABAL Share Single "Innocent Blood" feat. JASON EVANS of INGESTED

Singer Ronnie James Dio joined Black Sabbath in 1979 which resulted in two back-to-back classic albums: Heaven And Hell and Mob Rules. On those memorable albums, Dio’s soaring tenor and gothic songwriting were the perfect foil for the band’s bone-crushing mix of razor-sharp riffs, intense grooves, and dark imagery.

Rhino salutes the long shadow cast by this short-lived lineup with newly remastered versions of both albums expanded with rare and unreleased music. HEAVEN AND HELL: DELUXE EDITION and MOB RULES: DELUXE EDITION will be released separately on March 5. Each album will be available on 2-CDs ($19.98), or a 2-LPs ($31.98). Due to space constraints, both vinyl editions include a selection of bonus material from the CDs. The music will also be available via digital download and streaming services the same day. Dio joined Black Sabbath for the first time in 1979 and quickly found kindred spirits in guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward. When Heaven And Hell was released in April 1980, the album was met with effusive reviews for the band’s return to form on metal masterpieces like “Neon Knights” and the title track. The album reached #9 in the U.K. and #28 in the U.S., where it was also certified platinum.

HEAVEN AND HELL: DELUXE EDITION adds several bonus tracks that have never been released in North America, including versions of “Children Of The Sea” and “Die Young” recorded live in 1980 in Hartford, CT. The set concludes with live rarities like “E5150” and “Neon Knights” that originally appeared in 2007 on the Rhino Handmade’s limited edition collection, Black Sabbath: Live At Hammersmith Odeon.

To follow-up Heaven And Hell, the group returned to the studio in 1981 to begin recording Mob Rules, with drummer Vinny Appice joining the band for the first time. Released in October 1981 and certified gold, the album was another Sabbath classic, including standouts like “The Sign Of The Southern Cross,” “Turn Up The Night” and the title track.

MOB RULES: DELUXE EDITION boasts an expansive selection of rare and unreleased recordings. Along with additional tracks from Live At Hammersmith Odeon, the collection also includes a newly mixed version of “The Mob Rules.” The cherry on top is an entire concert recorded in 1982 in Portland, OR. Highlights include stellar performances of “Neon Knights” “Heaven And Hell” and “Voodoo.”

The Dio-fronted lineup disbanded in 1982 but reunited a decade later to record Dehumanizer and tour before going on hiatus again. The group came together again in 2006 to record three new songs for Rhino’s era-spanning collection, Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. The collaboration led to a highly anticipated world tour in 2007 where the group was billed as Heaven And Hell. Their final album of new material, 2009’s The Devil You Know, again demonstrated the musical bond between the band members was unparalleled.

Following up the release of 2020's, ‘Strike.Smother.Dehumanize,‘ Canadian black metal chaos machine REVENGE has announced the re-issue of the 2001 EP ‘Attack.Blood.Revenge,' which will also include additional bonus tracks.

The EP is set for worldwide release via Season of Mist Underground Activists on November 20. Pre-orders are now available HERE. 

This eight song collection of EPs and one-off tracks represents the band‘s earliest recordings and displays the focused yet hostile and relentlessly raw vision that eventually transformed into the twenty year reign of Black Metal Chaos.

Caledonian formation SAOR, known for folk-infused black metal, will be reissuing its first two albums via Season of Mist. The debut record 'Roots' will be available on vinyl and CD with the bonus tracks "Pictish Pride" (Ainshval cover) and "Yearning" (unreleased demo track). The release date is set for August 21, 2020.

The re-issue of the full-length 'Aura' is fully remastered and will appear on vinyl and CD with the unreleased demo track "Ashes" as a bonus. The release date is set for September 11, 2020. In conjunction with this announcement, SAORhas shared a streaming video for the remastered version of the song "Aura," which can be heard at THIS LOCATION.

Since its formation in 2013, Saor has continually evolved while remaining boldly faithful to its Scottish heritage. Forged by the vision of the band’s founder Andy Marshall, Saor (meaning “Free” in Scottish Gaelic) has a uniquely expressive approach that dives deep into lyrical themes based on literature, landscapes, history, sorrow, nature, and the majestic mountains of his homeland.

Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER will be reissuing their highly praised album, 'Ghost Mile' (2017), on July 10 via Season of Mist. The album will be pressed on vinyl for the very first time. Pre-orders are now live HERE.
