UK Alt-Punks, KID KAPICHI, Announce North American Tour Dates Supporting Nothing But Thieves

“Meet KID KAPICHI, Liam Gallagher’s favourite new band…With their provocative political punk-rock, these rising stars from Hastings have been compared to The Streetsand Arctic Monkeys

The Telegraph UK

“If Britain is going to hell in a handcart then KID KAPICHI are the soundtrack”

– Classic Rock/ Louder Sound

“…smart, fearless and reflects a broken and rudderless Brexit Britain.”

– The New European

“An album of our time… ‘Here’s What You Could Have Won’ feels like a trash can rattling wake up call for the present moment.”

– Kerrang!

“If Idles’ diminishing returns and Fontaines D.C.’s stepping out of formation could see them waver as post-punk’s mainstream flag-bearers, KID KAPICHI effectively embracing being a big rock band could make them an obvious choice to pick up the torch with little hassle.” – Soundboard

“…with track titles like ‘Cops & Robbers’ and ‘Smash the Gaff’, it feels like if Guy Ritchie were an album, it would be this.”

- Sian Eleri (Radio One)

UK alt-punk quartet KID KAPICHI will at long last invade North America!

The Hastings-based outfit will play as direct support for breakout English rockers Nothing But Thieves on the North American leg of their upcoming “Welcome To The DCC” World Tour. With several shows already sold-out, the summer/fall trek kicks off on September 12 in Washington, DC, and concludes in Tempe, AZ on October 9. A complete list of dates can be found below.

Commenting on the announcement of their first tour in the US, Kid Kapichi lead vocalist + guitarist Jack Wilson shares,

“It’s a true honour to support NBT anywhere, but to get to do that whilst fulfilling every band’s dream of taking over the states is really the cream on top of the apple pie. We’re extremely excited to finally get the chance to meet some of our fans from the USA. It’s gonna get loud. We’re gonna get fat.”

These new additions are different versions of songs from the original album: a Remix of Radio Oneplaylisted single "Rob The Supermarket" by Bobby Wolfgang – frontman with punk-spirited Blackpool outfit, Strange Bones; stripped back, atmospheric renditions of "Tar Pit" & "Special", plus a live version of "Party At No. 10", the track that first attracted the attention of Liam Gallagher, who was so taken with the sentiment and the song that he invited KK to join him at a charity event at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This rousing, impassioned take on "Party…" was captured live at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, near the band’s hometown of Hastings.

Alice Cooper Announces Band Update

NITA STRAUSS BACK WITH ALICE COOPER FOR 2023

Nita Strauss, the top-rated guitarist who had been with Alice Cooper for several years until she departed to do a Fall 2022 tour with Demi Lovato, will be returning to Alice's band for his 2023 tour, Cooper's management disclosed today.

The Alice Cooper North American tour, with an all-new show dubbed "Too Close For Comfort," kicks off in late April in Michigan and continues through late September, including a handful of August stadium shows with Def Leppard + Motley Crue, followed by a co-headlining late summer "Freaks On Parade" tour with Rob Zombie.

Said Alice, "She's Back!  Nita asked for a leave of absence to work with someone else, something I always encourage my band members to do. I like them to challenge themselves and try new things. I'm thankful to my old friend Kane Roberts for stepping up and filling in for her, but she'll be back with us for the new tour that starts up in late April. It's going to be great to have her back."

Nita commented, "From the studio to the stage, it's always an immense honor to make music with Alice Cooper!! I'm very excited to be rejoining the band on the road for the 2023 dates, and so I'll see you on the road in April. Let the nightmare return!"
