Kinsley Sets Debut EP Learn To Live for 9/25; "Learn To Live" Official Music Video Out Now

Following the announcement of her global publishing deal with Sony Music Nashville, rising singer/songwriter Kinsley announces her debut six-song EP Learn To Live, set for release on September 25 via MCA. Kinsley previews the project and title track with the “Learn To Live” official music video, available now. Watch and pre-save/pre-add Learn To Live HERE.

As a writer on all six songs, Learn To Live showcases the 22-year-old as an artist whose songwriting is at the center of everything she creates.

“This project feels like the truest introduction to who I am as a songwriter and as an artist,” shares Kinsley. “I’ve spent so much of my life writing to understand what I’m feeling and Learn To Live feels like a collection of those moments. Getting to share these songs with people for the first time is really special.”

To accompany the EP’s announcement, Kinsley releases an official music video “Learn To Live ,” offering a look at the people, places and experiences that helped shape her journey while making this project. Moving between candid moments with friends around Nashville, performing for friends and family and scenes of her taking the stage at songwriter rounds, the video reflects on the beginning of this new chapter for Kinsley.

“‘Learn To Live’ was the first original song I posted, and it really seemed to resonate with people, whether it was online or at a writer’s round,” reveals Kinsley. “So the video is really an ode to the song that got me here. I wanted to raise the curtain a little on what’s been going on in my world between then and where I am now, getting ready to release my first collection of songs, and I owe it all to this song.”

Written solely by Kinsley, the title track offers a reminder that there is a difference between simply making it through life and truly experiencing it:

Drawing from personal experiences and stories of those around her to explore heartbreak, healing, self-discovery and the complicated process of moving forward, Learn To Live establishes Kinsley as a songwriter with a clear voice and perspective.

About Kinsley

Having grown up across California, Texas and Tennessee, the Nashville-based artist writes the kinds of songs that make listeners feel seen and understood. An “old soul” with a lifelong passion for poetry and songwriting, Kinsley approaches music as both emotional refuge and personal expression — creating deeply human songs that live at the intersection of vulnerability and healing. Chris Connelly unveils 'House of 70's', announcing 'Doo Wop In The Dark: A Portrait of Lou Reed' album

Chicago-based alternative music legend Chris Connelly is back with the sensational single 'House of 70's', the invigorating first offering from his new album 'Doo Wop In The Dark: A Portrait of Lou Reed', out in October via Shipwrecked Industries with distribution by Virtual Label.

Produced by Connelly and his Sons of the Silent Age bandmate Alan Berliant, the adrenaline-fuelled video was produced by Someoddpilot Studios and directed by Chris Eichenseer, originator of the Chicago-based creative force Some Odd Pilot, and features artists Kira Leadholm (Madame Reaper) and Jay Drenkula.

'Doo Wop In The Dark' echoes Connelly's critically acclaimed 2022 album 'Eulogy to Christa: A Tribute to the Music & Mystique of Nico', a colossal 20-track collection exploring one of the most unique, tragic and misunderstood female artists in the history of modern music.

This new record presents a unique mix, including Lou Reed's own compositions, spanning his career from the Velvet Underground onwards, and songs penned by Connelly, detailing the creative and often turbulent path of Reed's life from his teenage years through to his death in 2013.

Chris Connelly explains, "'House of 70s' is Lou Reed’s New York of the early- to mid-70s distilled into a rock song. The 1960s hippy dream burned out, Altamont in the rear-view mirror -- while the queens, the uppers, the downers, and the streets are brought to life by Lou’s pen and guitar, a remorseless sarcasm cutting down the competition with a switchblade, Taxi Driver in drag, chain-smoking and blasting the radio at 3 am."

While Connelly and Berliant produced most of the album, four tracks ('Babyface', 'Bye Bye Johnny Viola', 'Doin’ The Things That We Want To', 'One Too Many Mysteries') were produced by Chris Bruce (Meshell Ndegeocello, Seal, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, The Waterboys, Sheryl Crow)

Mixed by Berliant and Bruce in Chicago and New York from 2023 to 2026, and mastered by James Scott at Populist Recording & Mastering, this album is dedicated to Chris' dear friend Zak Boerger (1973 -2025) and also the wildfire, tempestuous spirit of Lewis Allan Reed,

Over four decades of making music, since his days with Fini Tribe in Edinburgh, he has consistently pushed the creative envelope, between his involvement in such projects as Ministry, The Revolting Cocks and Pigface, his own solo work (with over 20 releases) and the four books he has authored.

Connelly's latest release was for Fini Tribe in 2025 for their colossal 3-disc anthology 'The Sheer Action of Fini Tribe: 1982-1987'. That same year, Connelly also released 'The Lives and Loves of the Serial Homesick, Vol. 1', a personal album rooted firmly in his hometown of Edinburgh, his second recent album dedicated to his beloved Scotland. Prior to that he also released 'The Birthday Poems', which features Monica Queen (Belle and Sebastian, Thrum).

As of August 18th, 'House of 70's' is available everywhere digitally, including Apple Music, SpotifyAmazon and Bandcamp. On October 16th, 'Doo Wap In The Dark' will be released digitally and as a limited edition two-CD set, with a selection of tracks also being made available on vinyl.

France's Laurent Moitrot shares "The High Life" single via Magic Door Record Label

The High Life? For French singer-songwriter and guitarist Laurent Moitrot, it starts in a social-housing block, not a penthouse. Born from a darker song about a marriage falling apart, his new single “The High Life” turns that same setting into a swaggering, character-driven blues-pop story about ordinary people, hard times and the stubborn possibility of something better. Released via New Jersey’s Magic Door Record Label, the catchy bilingual single pairs the English title track with its French counterpart, "Le Blues du H.L.M."two versions of the same world, seen through very different emotional lenses.

Produced by James Mastro, renowned for his work with The Bongos, Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter, Patti Smith and John Cale, "The High Life" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, Luna, The Dambuilders) at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, New Jersey. Moitrot is accompanied by Mastro on keyboards and Ketchem on percussion, as well as to bassist Paul Page (Ian Hunter, John Cale, Bo Diddley) and Doug Yowell (The Joe Jackson Band, Suzanne Vega, Judy Collins, Howard Jones) on drums and percussion.

This single follows up his six-track “Donne-moi du temps” EP, recorded with the same team in May 2025, which Moitrot calls “the album I’ve dreamt of making all my life”. Packed with gritty, angular, crashing riffs that recall the energy and excitement of early Rolling Stones, Dr. Feelgood, Fleetwood Mac, Mott the Hoople and Mick Ronson, this mini-album marked a new chapter in Moitrot’s songwriting, bringing his French-language material to the fore.

Drawing on nearly five decades as a performer, Moitrot’s swaggering, character-driven offering turns a difficult subject into something unexpectedly warm, funny and hopeful. While the two songs share the same musical foundation, the English title track offers a strikingly different perspective than the original French version.

"The High Life" explores ordinary lives, difficult circumstances and the small but important decision to keep trying. This swaggering blues-pop indie rock song finds humour, character and optimism in an unlikely setting, while its French-language counterpart, "Le Blues du H.L.M.", reveals the more troubled personal story from which it originated.  Written as his marriage was falling apart, it is set among the inhabitants of an H.L.M. (social housing typically associated with large apartment blocks), reflecting the sadness and uncertainty he felt at that time.

"In May 2025, I was in Montclair, NJ to record a six-track mini album, produced by James Mastro. In contrast with my first album from 2020, which featured material written in English, this one was in French and included a French version of Mastro's song "My God". Among these, one of  them in particular -- "Le Blues du H.L.M." -- seemed to please Mastro very much," says Laurent Moitrot.

"This song goes back to a time when I was feeling very sad as my marriage was on the rocks. The lyrics reflected that mood. What we call a H.L.M. in France is generally a cheaply built high-rise building, built so that the poorest families can rent a flat to live there. This is "social housing" of sorts, though some would call it a ghetto."

He initially translated the lyrics, under the title "The Social Housing Blues", but the darker mood of the original no longer reflected how he felt. The breakthrough came during a conversation with his Manchester friend Andrew Field, who reminded him of the tongue-in-cheek expression “living the high life”, used to describe life on a social housing estate.

The new title changed its direction. Inspired by the character-driven storytelling of Ray Davies, Moitrot introduced Curtiss, the lonely man; Mary, the pretty girl; and Nigel, the neighbourhood bully. He also added a fourth verse, bringing a sense of optimism to their lives.

The resultant is a companion piece: the same setting seen through a different emotional lens. Where the original captures a moment of personal despair, "The High Life" finds warmth and humour in the lives of its characters, leaving them with the possibility of something better. Ultimately, "The High Life" is a song about finding another way to tell a difficult story — with a little more distance, a little more humour and, ultimately, a little more hope.

This instinct for turning everyday lives into songs places Moitrot within a long tradition of French rock songwriting, from the wry observations of Jacques Dutronc and Jacques Higelin to the more contemporary perspective of Jean Leloup, while his musical foundation remains firmly rooted in blues and rock.

From Angers, France, Moitrot has been performing since 1976, playing the piano from seven. After discovering the Rolling Stones “Exile on Main St.” in his teens, he moved toward guitar and rock music. For decades, he balanced a life between his music and a career as a mathematics teacher – maintaining a steady presence on the regional blues and rock scene.

Moitrot’s debut album "Little Monsters Most Of Them Blue.s" was produced by Laurent Thibault, a founding member of Magma and former director of the legendary Château d’Hérouville studio, which had hosted
David Bowie, Marvin Gaye, and Fleetwood Mac. He subsequently released an EP with his Dr. Feelgood tribute project “Hands Up!”

As of August 18, "The High Life" is everywhere digitally, including  Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where his back catalogue can also be found.

THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT—Feat. Stone Sour’s Josh Rand & Casandra Carson—Unveils Cover of Blondie's “Call Me” OUT NOW via Frontiers Music Srl

Today, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT - the dynamic collaboration between guitarist and songwriter Josh Rand (Stone Sour) and powerhouse vocalist Casandra Carson (Paralandra, Casandra’s Crossing) – unleashes a powerful rendition of Blondie’s hit, “Call Me," out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Josh Rand commented:

“Back in 2020, I was searching for a female vocalist to front my new project. I was connected with Casandra Carson and asked her what song she’d like to sing for the audition. “Call Me” was her choice, so I quickly put it together musically for her to sing to. She crushed it, and the rest is history! We never intended to release this track, but we thought it would be cool for you to hear the song that started it all.”

Casandra Carson added:

Call Me” has been one of those staple songs that I’ve been doing live since my first cover band when I was 17. This recording, specifically, was kind of my audition to be in The L.I.F.E. Project. Josh wanted me to pick a song to cover that would be comfortable, and we could use to test out how we would work together, and this felt like the perfect choice. Turns out, I got the job! It’s crazy that it’s coming out of the vault and going public after all these years.”

Watch the Official Visualizer for “Call Me” Below:

Born from a shared musical vision and an undeniable creative chemistry, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT represents a fresh and compelling artistic union. While Rand had long envisioned launching a female-fronted project, it wasn’t until 2020 - when a mutual connection introduced him to Carson - that the idea truly began to take shape. What started as an exploratory collaboration quickly evolved into something far more meaningful, laying the groundwork for a project driven by purpose and artistic synergy.

Musically, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT fuses Rand’s signature heavy riffs and affinity for strong melodic hooks with Carson’s commanding and versatile vocal delivery. Drawing inspiration from classic metal, thrash, and progressive influences, the project channels the raw energy and spirit that first inspired Rand to pick up the guitar, while offering Carson the opportunity to explore new sonic and emotional territories.

Over time, the band has crafted a distinct sound that balances intensity with accessibility, underpinned by a natural creative partnership. Their material reflects a thoughtful and organic development process, allowing ideas to evolve freely and cohesively.

Lyrically, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT sets itself apart by venturing beyond traditional rock themes, embracing broader narratives and concepts. Their songs often draw from history, social issues, and real-world tensions, exploring themes such as empowerment, resistance, and societal challenges. This approach adds depth and substance to their music, complementing its powerful sonic foundation.

Line Up:

Casandra Carson - Vocals

Josh Rand - Guitar

ATER Release Cover Of TYPE O NEGATIVE's "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend"

Chile's heavy ensemble ATER present their interpretation of TYPE O NEGATIVE's "My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend", released via Torque Records. The band's shadowy sound combines extreme metal and gothic rock, seeing ATER unveil a dark and heavy take on TYPE O NEGATIVE's iconic track.

ATER’s frontman Fernando Bühring comments: "I was introduced to Type O Negative by my older brother back when I was in my early teens. I was immediately hooked, and they have been at the top of my favorite bands list and are great inspiration for me and the music I write with ATER to this day.

Making our own rendition of ‘My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend’ was a lot of fun. The whole process took just a couple of days. I demo’d the whole thing during the course of a morning. Vincent laid down the drums quickly and we kept the rest from the demo. We also invited fellow guitar player and producer Tebby Muñoz to do the solo on this one. Personally I’m not into making covers much at all, but when I realized October Rust was turning 30, I wanted to celebrate with making a tribute to it. We will probably never do a cover again, so here ya go!."

About ATER:
Based out of Santiago, Chile, extreme metal act ATER unveiled their debut album Eternal Gray Spiral in 2018 through Insania Recordings. The band's sophomore album Somber arrived in 2024 via Torque Records, with 2025 seeing the release of singles, "The Fall" and "Venus".

Describing their sound as Dark Metal or Extreme Dark Metal, ATER's music is constructed primarily from extreme metal and gothic rock. Their production feels both modern and organic, with composer Fernando building songs around the guitars and bass often leading to centered bass parts in the mix. Thematically, ATER's music is introspective, open and honest in its emotional delivery. ATER explore gothic romanticism with an updated, modern perspective.

ATER have traversed across global stages including European tours: Epic Prophecy Europe 2024 (BATUSHKA, VLTIMAS, GOD DETHRONED, ATER), Beyond The Black Tour Europe 2025 (VENOM INC, KRISIUN, HATE, ATER), and Morbidfest Tour Europe 2025 (POSSESSED, TERRORIZER, SUICIDAL ANGELS, NIGHTFALL, ATER). In 2025 alone, ATER performed an impressive 110 shows including national support for CRADLE OF FILTH in Santiago, Chile, and Turock Festival, Essen, Germany.

GRAVEYARD - release stomping new single 'A Means To An End' + start pre-order for new album 'Fever'

One of the most distinctive and revered forces in modern rock music, Sweden's very own GRAVEYARD are back with a brand new single, 'A Means To An End', the first glimpse at their highly anticipated 7th studio album Fever, which will be released on October 9th, 2026 worldwide on Nuclear Blast Records.

Arriving three years after the gloomier, introverted Six, GRAVEYARD are literally turning up the heat by delivering a sonic experience that is drenched in fuzz and distortion, sporting massive Sabbath-ian grooves on opener ‘Back From The Grave’, CCR fuelled grandeur on ‘Time To Tell’ and straight-forward, hard hitting rock on ‘Room Tempered’, ‘Tongue Tied’ and ‘Means To An End’. Formed in 2006, the band collectively emphasizes the fierce spirit of the album.

With Fever, the band returns to the forefront of the scene with a noticeably heavier, more direct sound. They’ve entrusted the mixing duties to Pelle Gunnerfeldt who is widely renowned for capturing the ferocious energy of bands such as The Hives, Refused, and recently Viagra Boys whereas mastering was handled by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering. Amidst its sheer drive, GRAVEYARD retained the undeniable, blues-soaked soul that originally defined their breakthrough album, Hisingen Blues, on slower songs like album closer ‘Dead Note’ yet with a good dose of fiery anger.

After the fairly subtle, mysterious art on Six, GRAVEYARD went for a striking visual approach on Fever relying on acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders who cooperated with the band on their Split 7” with Goat, and whose work has been prominently showcased at cult festival Roadburn, featuring designs for more than 50 artists, ranging from Acid King to legendary Frank Zappa.

With two number-one albums in Sweden already to their name, GRAVEYARD will initiate the touring cycle with a co-headline run through Scandinavia with Blues Pills to properly celebrate the release of Fever, followed by Europe/UK wide touring and festivals in 2027.

Brace for impact, GRAVEYARD came back from the grave and they caught a Fever.

Save Us Are "Far"

Transcontinental trio SAVE US Miguel Owls [vocals], Chris Biddiscombe[guitar], and Benji Havercroft [drums] — recently announced their new album Death To Something, out October 16 via Solid State Records. Pre-order the album, produced by Landon Tewershere.

They are sharing the video for the gorgeously melancholic and majestically atmospheric new song "FAR" today. Watch it below.

"'Far' will always hold a special place in my heart," says Owls, pulling back the curtain on what gives the song emotional weight that is heavier than granite. "It came to life right at the halfway point of being away from home while making the album, when the homesickness really started to hit. I was restless, missing everything familiar, and it was the longest I'd ever been away from my wife. This song dives into that feeling, chasing something you’ve always dreamed of, while carrying the weight of being far from the person you love most. It's that push and pull between purpose and pain."

The origin story of SAVE US and how the globally-based band came together is quite simple. Back in 2023, Owls was regularly posting covers on social media and quietly cultivating a following online. Hailing from the Central Valley of California, he never expected to find his future bandmates in his DMs. Bristol, UK-based Biddiscombe stumbled upon one of the vocalist's Architects covers and sent a message on TikTok. Clicking right away, they commenced creating music (despite over 5,000 miles between them). Due to a factory day job from 1pm-9:30pm, Owls typically woke up at 5am in order to write with Chris and Benji before work. Prior to meeting in-person, the trio had remotely recorded a few tracks. Eventually, the singer crossed the pond to shoot the visual for "Distance" from their LUCID EP. Reacting with listeners, the track clocked north of 2.6 million Spotify streams. The group maintained their momentum with 2024's EXIST EP. A year later, they inked a deal with Solid State and decamped to Michigan where they recorded with sought-after producer and The Plot In You mastermind Landon Tewers.

Ultimately, the band's name reflects their shared experience.

"Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music," Owls reveals. "I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us. We're always dabbling in emotion, so our goal is to reach you on a human level."

Mission accomplished on Death To Something, which in all actuality, brought the band members back to life.

ABOUT MOVEMENTS:

Movements are proud to announce their fourth full-length album for Fearless Records, Happier Now, with GRAMMY-winner Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Circa Survive) once again serving as producer. The result is an album that's as expansive as it is emotional and takes Movements' signature sound to a heightened level that further establishes the band as scene statesmen.

"I think at first we weren’t really sure what the record was going to be," vocalist Patrick Miranda admits. "We all had a general idea: We wanted it to bring in the early elements of our sound and blend it with the newer material like [2023's] RUCKUS! and mesh both of those sounds." Two of the songs that came from that initial session were the album’s first two singles: The instantly infectious anthem "Dissolve Me" and moody meditation "Back In My Ways," which collectively acted as sonic north stars to guide the band through the recording process.

In many ways, Happier Now is a full circle moment for Movements, who are once again performing on the Warped Tour this summer and slowly becoming veterans of the community that inspired them growing up. The struggle never sounded so sweet.

JENNA PAULETTE RELEASES EMPOWERING NEW SONG “MAGGIE’S SONG (OLD BLUE JEANS)”

As Leo33 rising singer/songwriter looks ahead to new music, the Texas native is offering an antidote to heartbreak with her empowering new song, “Maggie’s Song (Old Blue Jeans),” out now. Listen Below

Written by Paulette, Smith Ahnquist and Brent Anderson, “Maggie’s Song” serves as a powerful reminder to women to be comfortable and confident in their everyday lives.

Reflecting on the song’s inspiration, Paulette shares, “‘Maggie’s Song (Old Blue Jeans)’ was written for my best friend of 20 years. She was going through it and told me she could really use a skinny cigarette, so I gave her a song to smoke when she needed it instead.

“Sometimes the best thing I can do for someone is give them a jam to remind them just how bad ass they are—she doesn’t need all the bull he put her through but she does need to remember she’s a heartbreaker in just her old blue jeans,” Paulette adds. “Hopefully this will do that for her and anyone else that needs the reminder.”

“Maggie’s Song (Old Blue Jeans)” is Paulette’s first release since debuting “High Noon” at the 61st ACM Awards Whiskey Jam in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, Paulette earned her first No. 1 at Texas radio with “Steady” – which she credits her husband, Ross, for inspiring. Together, when she’s not on tour, they ranch in south west Texas.

In 2025, Paulette launched her Sunrise and Sunset Boots collection with Justin Boots, and continued to expand her women’s rangewear line with Ely Cattleman, CowboyGirl

Kaitlin Butts Says "I Wanna Be Bad" - Track Available Now; New Album, 'Hello, Honky Tonk' Coming 10/30

Boundary-pushing, Tulsa-born singer/songwriter Kaitlin Butts is following the announcement of  her upcoming fourth studio album, Hello, Honky Tonk, arriving October 30 via Republic Records, with the release of “I Wanna Be Bad,” available everywhere today. Named one of Rolling Stone’s most anticipated albums for 2026, the LP is a love letter to the honky tonks and nightlife that have shaped Butts while becoming a huge part of her life on the road. Listen to “I Wanna Be Bad” HERE and pre-save Hello, Honky Tonk HERE.

Written by Butts with Natalie Hemby, the song follows her critically acclaimed “Never Really Mine,” giving fans another glimpse into the world of Hello, Honky Tonk. With a playful invitation to cut loose, “I Wanna Be Bad” captures the uninhibited spirit at the heart of Butts’ forthcoming album. With a rowdy, rallying cry, she declares:

Oh and sometimes...I wanna go crazy
Oh and sometimes I wanna go maniac mad
I wanna smoke and drink and party
and dance all on the floor
Maybe kiss a cowboy
Maybe even more
Sometimes I wanna be bad

The zany and jubilant official music video for “I Wanna Be Bad” was also released today. Directed by Butts and frequent collaborator Chris Beyrooty and shot at Nashville’s Cross-Eyed Critters karaoke bar, the video finds her whirling through a madcap honky tonk fantasy filled with everything you might want for a memorable night out…Texas-sized beers, line dancing, drag queens and even some animatronic animals.  The video sets the tone for an album inspired by the vaudeville vignettes of movie musical Chicago with a dash of Disney World’s beloved Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Watch the video Below

Recorded in Nashville with producer Tofer Brown (Carter Faith, Willow Avalon, Little Big Town), Hello, Honky Tonk promises to bring about a night of laughter and tears at your favorite honky tonk, complete with a cast of characters listeners might recognize from the dance floor, behind the bar or from the corner booth. Filled with her sharp wit, theatrical sensibility and genre-bending musicality, it promises to be a vivid snapshot of a bar like no other.

“The thought behind the concept was how in Chicago, the character Roxie Hart is dreaming up what her show would look like and all the people in it,” says Butts, who began performing in musical theatre herself as a child and loved the idea of vaudeville-style vignettes.  Another light bulb flickered on during a recent trip to see the original Jamboree before it was updated. The vintage sensibility of the Nashville-inspired stage show, a favorite of hers as a kid, felt like home.  “When Teddi Barra came down from the ceiling on her swing, my mom and I just looked at each other and I was like, ‘That is me,’" she says of the cowboy-hatted, feather-boa sporting brown bear who inspired the album’s cover."

She continues, “I picture all of this happening at Skinny Dennis here in Nashville,” she says of a popular honky tonk in town.  “These are all the different people in the room. There's the bar fight that's happening. There's the bad girl that just got off work. There's me being the entertainer. There are so many people that really love the night life. It’s a connector for people."

“I Wanna Be Bad” follows Butts’ recent release “Never Really Mine,” a sharp-witted, self-assured take on jealousy and romantic freedom written by Butts alongside Maggie Antone and Lola Kirke, which Saving Country Music called “a pure, traditional country song.”

“I Wanna Be Bad” continues the introduction into the world of Hello, Honky Tonk, offering fans another glimpse at the characters, attitude and theatrical energy that have come to define Butts’ sound following her critically acclaimed album Roadrunner! in 2024, a bold reimagining inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! that landed on numerous year-end best-of lists.

The new project continues a whirlwind year for Butts, who has expanded her creative footprint both onstage and behind the camera. Earlier this spring, Butts joined Willow Avalon on her song “Hypothetically Speaking” and its official video, starred in Ella Langley’s music video for the award-winning hit “Choosin’ Texas,” co-directed and wrote the treatment for Flatland Cavalry’s “Unglued” and joined The Band Perry on the recent reimagining of their hit “You Lie (Forever Version).”

The album marks her first full-length project since signing with Republic Records in October 2025 and releasing The Yeehaw Sessions, a fan-favorite EP featuring her genre-bending takes on songs including Chappell Roan’s “Red Wine Supernova,” Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle,” The Chicks’ “Sin Wagon” and Don Williams’ “Tulsa Time,” alongside her viral anthem “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me),” which has amassed more than 157 million TikTok views and 67 million global streams.

Butts continues to earn widespread critical acclaim for her fearless approach to country music and storytelling. Joining Lainey Wilson on her Whirlwind Tour, Ella Langley on The Dandelion Tour, headlining her own sold-out overseas tour with the European Cowgirl Experience, alongside features in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s American Currents exhibition for the second consecutive year, a 2026 MusicRow Award Nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and membership in both the 2025 Opry NextStage class and the CMT Next Women of Country class.

Hello, Honky Tonk arrives October 30 via Republic Records. “I Wanna Be Bad” is available everywhere now.

ABOUT GAVIN ADCOCK
Gavin Adcock, dubbed by Billboard as "one of country music’s most buzzed-about artists” is a Georgia native, born and raised in Watkinsville. Former Georgia Southern University football player, Gavin grew up working on his family’s cattle farm and dreamt of riding bulls in the PBR. He started writing songs in high school, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2021, when Adcock tore his knee playing football, that he used his healing time to record and release his first original single. Since then, Gavin has collectively amassed more than 2 BILLION global streams across singles including the fan-favorite, RIAA PLATINUM-certified, “A Cigarette,” GOLD-certified songs “Run Your Mouth,” “Deep End,” “Four Leaf Clover” and more. His album, Actin’ Up Again, was crowned the largest major-label country debut from a solo male artist released in 2024 and was the year’s top streaming major-label debut across the genre. Within less than a year, Adcock more than doubled his previous streaming record with over 25 MILLION first week US streams on new album Own Worst Enemy, released August 15, 2025. Own Worst Enemy debuted as the top new Country album on the Billboard 200 Country Chart (No. 4) and top streaming new album on the Billboard 200 All-Genre Chart (No. 14) week of release. In the Spring of 2026 Gavin was able to add Executive Producer to his achievements, with the release of Adcock’s brainchild, Country Never Dies, enlisting the help of nine artist peers to join him on the special, timeless, project. The MusicRow Awards’ “Discovery Artist of the Year” nominee has also won over the hearts of both Country music fans and music industry alike, leading to his New Artist of the Year nominations at both the 60th & 61st ACM Awards. Taking his music to the fans, Adcock is currently underway on The Day I Hang It Up Tour 2026, marking the fourth extensive headlining tour since 2024.

XTC's Colin Moulding presents 'Want It Bad (The Pep Talks and Playing Fields of Old England)'. Watch the video & get the CD via Burning Shed

XTC founding member and acclaimed songwriter Colin Moulding is back with 'Want It Bad (The Pep Talks and Playing Fields of Old England)', a three-track CD single that offers another tantalising glimpse into the creative process of one of the UK’s finest songwriters, plus an accompanying video.

Released via Burning Shed and presented in a four-panel digisleeve, the CD features the title track, along with ‘Something About The Boy (James Bond Demo for Female Voice)’ and an exploratory demo of the title track. Moulding continues to explore a distinctly English pop sensibility, showcasing his English pop vision with XTC's trademark qualities of melody, rhythm, variety, and idiosyncratic subject matter, mixed in with nostalgia and a degree of pensiveness.

This is Moulding's second solo release, following 'The Hardest Battle', released several years ago. the video for which focused on George IV and filmed at St Mary’s Uffington and Salisbury Cathedral in cooperation with the Royal Shakespeare Company on wardrobe.

While 'Want It Bad' began as a song of sport and camaraderie, it soon took on a broader meaning. Moulding shares, "Although this song started life as a sporting pep talk, it was clear that it could easy be thought of as a mantra for ones own life ambitions whatever they may be.  If you want something in this life you have to really want it. And if you really want it, you’ll get it -- that was my mantra."

The artwork, created by Andrew Swainson, and Androideo video, created by Thomas Walsh, are derived from ‘Les Coureurs’ by Robert Delaunay, whose depiction of runners perfectly captured the spirit Moulding wanted to convey.

"I was scouting around for a cover that would signify human endeavour. I had written 'Want It Bad', which basically amounted to a pep talk by a sporting coach to his team. Football perhaps...  something made me think of the runners on the beach in the film “Chariots of Fire", explains Colin Moulding.

"After many permutations, Andrew, my artwork designer, said "What about Delaunay and his runners?" and when he showed me, there was no doubt. So it was derived from  “Les Coureurs” by Robert Delaunay, a French painter from the early part of the twentieth century. Check him out!"

This new release also opens a window onto two very different stages of Moulding’s songwriting process ‘Something About The Boy (James Bond Demo for Female Voice)’ reveals a long-held ambition inspired by the James Bond films of Moulding’s childhood.

"I was a big James Bond fan. My father had taken me to see the first three - 'Dr No', 'From Russia with Love', and 'Goldfinger'…..In the 1960’s. I had secretly nursed an ambition that one day John Barry and I would work on a theme together (hey ya got to have dreams kid!). So here then was my idea to put to John Barry. Only trouble was I had to sing it myself to demonstrate the female lead. The key could have been a problem, but it had not occurred to me. I’m still a dreamer even today," shares Colin Moulding.

The third track, ‘Want It Bad (Demo)’, is an even more immediate snapshot of the writing process, with Colin noting, “Quite simply, my working demo knocked out in about an hour with a hand-held 57 microphone, different lyrics, and no bass. This is something for the musos, I guess.”

Founded in 1972, XTC only had their first UK charting single in 1979. Moulding wrote the first three charting singles ('Life Begins at the Hop''Making Plans for Nigel' and 'Generals and Majors') and continued with frontman Andy Partridge through the group's dissolution in 2006. In 1984, Moulding also co-founded The Dukes of Stratosphear, anticipating and celebrated by retro-minded movements such as the Paisley Underground.

Decades later, Moulding reunited with original XTC drummer Terry Chambers under the TC&I moniker, releasing two CDs (the 'Great Aspirations' EP and the album 'Naked Flames: Live at Swindon Arts Centre') and playing a series of live shows through a Swindon residency.

A driving force in establishing XTC as one of Britain's most inventive and influential bands, Moulding once again invites listeners behind the curtain -- not simply presenting the finished song, but revealing some of the ideas, experiments and musical possibilities that shaped it along the way.

As of September 18, ‘Want It Bad’ is available on CD exclusively via Burning Shed, where 'The Hardest Battle' can also be obtained, as well as music and merch from TC&I and Colin's other projects

ABOUT RYAN PERDZ

Ryan Perdz is a 25-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo, NY. Raised on his grandparents’ family farm, he began teaching himself guitar at age ten and expanded into bass, violin, and mandolin, developing a hands-on approach to songwriting and arrangement.

Influenced by artists such as Nirvana, Chris Cornell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Led Zeppelin, Perdz channels the emotional weight of 90s rock through a modern lens, balancing grit with melody. His music often explores isolation, self-doubt, and perseverance, delivered with a clarity that feels lived-in rather than ornamental.

After independently releasing multiple singles and his First Sight EP an racking up tens of millions of views across social media, Perdz cultivated a loyal audience through consistent self-directed output. In 2025, he signed with Big Machine Rock and began recording his debut full-length album. His growing catalogue of original music has generated millions of streams, and his audience continues to expand across digital platforms.

As he prepares to unveil his debut album, Ryan Perdz stands positioned at the forefront of a new generation of rock artists shaped by both digital culture and classic influences.

ANNIHILUS MUNDI Presents Death Metal Offering "Black Moon"

Descending into abrasive death metal realms, ANNIHILUS MUNDI present the new single offering, "Black Moon". The track reveals a different side to the project's predominantly progressive sound and arrives ahead of the upcoming full-length, The Dead Sea Scrolls, scheduled for independent release on November 6, 2026.

"Black Moon" also features guest performances. The track's chorus features Olive Gallop (ICE GIANT) and is designed to be chanted by a crowd and contains a fun two-step friendly hook, along with a guitar solo recorded by Chris Ramusiewicz (GRAVEBORN).

Composer and lyricist Daniel Saillant explains: "Lyrically, 'Black Moon' explores three different stories: one from Evangelion, one from the Bible, and one from Dante’s Inferno. The goal of this song is to explore the religious imagery found throughout Evangelion, which generally has very few themes explicitly related to faith."

He continues, "The opening verse (as well as the title of the song) is a reference to NERV headquarters. The building is constructed underground in what the characters call a 'geo-front,' essentially an enormous geode located underneath Tokyo. In Evangelion lore, the geo-front is referred to as the Black Moon, a cocoon for Lilith, the First Human. She is the second primordial being found on earth. Where Adam is responsible for the creation of the Angels, Lilith is responsible for the creation of humans.

The second verse of Black Moon refers to the biblical Tower of Babel. In context, the inclusion of this story is meant to describe the dilemma of humans trying to uncover and understand the secrets of primordial beings like Adam and Lilith. Gendo, NERV, and SEELE, spend almost all their time building new structures and machines to bring them closer to understanding the nature of the 'gods' they’ve uncovered, but are never able to do so.

The third verse refers to the Ninth Circle of Hell from Dante’s Inferno, specifically the story of Count Ugolino. Ugolino conspired with Archbishop Ruggieri to overthrow Ugolino’s nephew. However, once the coup occurred, the Archbishop betrayed Ugolino, imprisoned him in a tower, and sentenced him to death by starvation. Both of these men were condemned to the Antenora region of Ninth Circle of Hell for their treachery against their country. In context of DSS, this refers to the various double crossings and shadowy politics active in the background in Evangelion, particularly relating to Gendo consistently misleading and betraying most other characters in the story in pursuit of his selfish goals."

The Dead Sea Scrolls explores the personal lived experiences of composer and lyricist Daniel Saillant. In a fusion of genres and artforms, ANNIHILUS MUNDI presents the central concepts through the lens of Hideaki Anno’s notorious 1995 anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion and its subsequent 1997 film The End of Evangelion.

The Dead Sea Scrolls was produced, mixed and mastered, and engineered by Daniel Saillant at Wailing Pines Productions. The album's artwork was created by Chris at Misanthropic Designs.

Badsquatch Releases New Single + Video “Nakupenda"

The continuously polarizing artist known as BADSQUATCH offers up
the fourth single from his debut album, a fourteen-track double EP that he
refers to as a mental health piece. The dark and light contrasts that have
been present in the first releases by this new creative are even more
present as this song “Nakupenda” almost seems to come from a
completely different world as the previous single.

Following up that last tune about soul-crushing heartbreak wrought
with heavy guitars and blistering vocals, the new song “Nakupenda” does a
complete turnaround, opening with sounds of a babbling brook followed by
slow and beautifully methodical acoustic chords that lead into
BADSQUATCH’s soft, yet warm and inviting vocals. The name of the song,
the phrase for “I love you” in Swahili, is confirmed to be a kind of title-track
of the I LUV YOU side of the album, but it is also a nod to the
African-inspired percussion instrumentation and lyrical themes of flowing
with the river toward the ocean, mentioned by the artist to be further
inspired by stories of the Nile River.

In this song, these lyrical themes set this single even further apart
from the rest of his recent releases, speaking with an air of wisdom that can
only come from somebody that has experience with not just pain and
suffering, but also the coming to terms with it, the process of ‘healing’, and
moving forward in life. Utilizing metaphors and thought-provoking lines
alluding toward a search for peace, the themes of the song directly match
the very calm, inviting, and disarming instrumentation delivered to us.

With this acoustic single, BADSQUATCH has now shown us four
completely different looks as an artist: first an industrial anthem about
self-loathing, followed by an 80’s dance/workout song about moving your
body, and most recently, a gritty and gut-wrenching song painting a picture
of the moment your heart breaks. Now, we get to experience this acoustic
adventure down a river of gratitude and healing. It seems whatever
BADSQUATCH has for us next, like Sasquatch legend, is a total mystery.

CAGE FIGHT Releases Remix of "Oxygen" by French Multi-Instrumentalist Kabbel

Today, UK metal outfit CAGE FIGHT, fronted by vocal powerhouse Rachel Aspe, release a new version of their recent single and video, “Oxygen.” This latest take on their most-streamed track has been reworked by Kabbel, the French multi-instrumentalist based in Sweden who has previously collaborated with artists including Perturbator, Cemetery Skyline, and Imer6ia.

The original version of “Oxygen,” which is “about a fight against time, when everything becomes overwhelming and suffocating,” according to Rachel, appears on the band’s second studio album, ‘Exuvia,’ released via Spinefarm on May 1, 2026.

Discussing the fresh interpretation of the fast-paced, energetic track, the band explains:

“We agreed that a hard electronic version would be awesome. Given that we're playing multiple festivals in France, and it's Rachel's home country, we thought it would be great to collaborate with a French artist, and Kabbel couldn't have been more perfect. His work on ‘Oxygen’ captures the intensity and stressful feeling of the original, but his skilful production and eclectic synth take the song into an entirely new realm. Play this loud!”

Stream / Listen to "Oxygen (Kabbel Remix)" HERE

Recorded by Sam Bloor (Graphic Nature, Dream State) and mixed by Jim Pinder (Sleep Token, Malevolence), ‘Exuvia’ retains the raw, hardcore heart of CAGE FIGHT, whilst also exploring more multi-layered terrains, making the music sound bigger, tighter, more epic.

Throughout the album, the band proves their desire to experiment… and have a bit of fun, too – "Pick Your Fighter" is inspired by French pop number "Et C'est Parti…" by Nâdiya, who recently revisited the song.

The bulk of the lyrics on ‘Exuvia’ are written by Rachel, and the results are deeply personal; the expansive final track, "Élégie," is about losing her grandfather and the regret that can come from things left unsaid.

On "Pig," meanwhile, she calls out the creepy men who send women unsolicited messages online, while the title track was inspired by her grandmother, currently battling cancer, who also contributed to the lyrics.

Wage War Share "Sweet Dreams" Video — WATCH // Band Gearing Up for Fall 2026 Headline Tour

Florida's WAGE WAR — Briton Bond [lead vocals], Cody Quistad [rhythm guitar, clean vocals], Seth Blake [lead guitar], Chris Gaylord [bass], and Stephen Kluesener [drums] — recently released the It Calls Me By Name EP via Fearless Records. Listen here. It was a vicious selection of tracks where the band elected to indulge the more brutal side of its sound.

Today, they the release the video for the brand new standalone single "SWEET DREAMS." And it continues the recent trajectory. While Wage War may have titled the new song "SWEET DREAMS," it sounds like the soundtrack to your nightmare. And if you are a musical masochist who likes it loud, fast, brutal, and bloodcurdling, this song answers the call. But it's not all bluster and sonic fists of fury. Rather, the band drops melodic vocals smack dab in the middle of the maelstrom to give you a bit of a breather and to make you think. It's an excellent execution of dynamics.

Watch the video Below

"'Sweet Dreams' is a song about being deceived by the world around you," the band explains. "About safety in a sense of blissful ignorance. Sonically, it draws inspiration from all of our previous work over the last 10 years."

Indeed, it combines Wage War's past and present to create something entirely explosive and new.

Wage War will return to U.S. stages for a headline tour this fall, with We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill as support. The "Emergncy Broadcast" tour kicks off October 25 in San Antonio and runs through Novemebr 27 in Orlando in the band's native Florida. Get tickets here.
