UADA Announces 'Devoid of Light (10th Anniversary Edition), Reveals Delays for 'Interwoven'

Enigmatic black metal masters UADA is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their debut album, 'Devoid of Light,' with a special reissue! Originally released in 2016, 'Devoid of Light' remains a remarkably focused debut - just five tracks, a little over thirty minutes - and yet a fully formed statement. The 'Devoid of Light (10th Anniversary Edition)' returns in an expanded form. Remastered by Arthur Rizk, who previously handled mixing and mastering for UADA's sophomore album 'Cult of a Dying Sun' and mastering for the acoustic album 'Interwoven,' the material gains depth without losing the character of the original recordings. This edition also includes previously unseen photography by Peter Beste, alongside rare archival material, expanded liner notes, and an exclusive bonus track. It will be released on July 17, 2026 via Eisenwald in CD format and 3 vinyl color variations; it is now available for pre-orders HERE.

Moreover, UADA's upcoming acoustic album has been delayed. The original April 10 release date will still be honored digitally, but physical copies will not be shipped until late May due to delays at the manufacturing plant. The album represents an acoustic journey tracing one song from each chapter of UADA's discography as well as various covers from the bands who've inspired them. 'Interwoven' will also be released via Eisenwald and is now available for pre-orders HERE.

ICYMI: UADA recently unveiled a haunting version of ROME's "Der Brandtaucher." The release comes just before UADA embarks on their next North American journey alongside MORTIIS, in which Jerome Reuter’s ROME will be among the support. The song can be heard now below.

UADA comments, "Originally composed by Jerome Reuter and Patrick Damiani, this rendition was the final track chosen for Interwoven. Having followed Rome since 2008’s Masse Mensch Material, “Der Brandtaucher” held deep personal resonance, especially during the most difficult chapter of my life. Its inclusion was not simply artistic - it was necessary."

In addition, UADA has joined forces with industrial metal artist MORTIIS for a very special co-headliner, featuring exclusive anniversary sets and supporting performances by Jerome Reuter’s ROME and WRAITH KNIGHT. UADA will be performing their seminal 2016 debut album 'Devoid of Light' in its entirety + a special CERMONIAL CASTINGS 30-year anniversary set featuring Wraith Knight. In addition, MORTIIS shall be performing songs from his groundbreaking 2001 full-length, 'The Smell Of Rain,' along with other volumes of dystopian despair. ROTTING CHRIST Reissue Sleep of the Angels

Season of Mist is reissuing Sleep of the Angels, the fifth full-length album by Greek legends Rotting Christ. Originally released in January 1999 on Century Media, the album will now be available on vinyl through the band’s current label home.

Sleep of the Angels represents the furthest point from Rotting Christ's black metal origins. It is a record defined by melodic weight, brooding atmosphere, and a gloomy romanticism that remains striking in its internal coherence. At its center is the interplay between the heavy guitar work of Sakis Tolis and a constant, gauzy keyboard presence that lends the whole record an almost ecclesiastical quality. The result is the most gothic album in the band's ever-evolving discography.

Formed in Athens in 1987, Rotting Christ are one of extreme metal's most enduring and restlessly shape-shifting forces. By the time Sleep of the Angels was recorded in September 1998, Rotting Christ had spent three consecutive albums methodically expanding from the rawness of their early catalogue toward atmosphere, melody and a dark romanticism. The album closed a trilogy begun with Triarchy of the Lost Lovers(1996) and continued through A Dead Poem (1997), before the band pivoted again toward heavier, more industrial-inflected territory on Khronos (2000).

Guest contributors to Sleep of the Angels include Waldemar Sorychta on lead guitar on "Victoriatus" and "You My Flesh," and vocalist Eddy Kante on the partially German language "Der Perfekte Traum."

Iconic US indie rockers THE DAMBUILDERS return with "Shrine 2026" single & live dates

American college radio faves The Dambuilders are back with their new single “Shrine 2026”, marking the band’s first new release in decades. Released via Magic Door Record Label in traditional A / B format, "Shrine 2026" comes with the companion track “I Hope We’re Not Too Late”, recorded and produced by Ray Ketchem at Magic Door Recording in Montclair, NJ and mastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (Lennon, Bowie, Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty).

2025 saw the band's reformation with reunion shows at Dromfest and NYC Berlin, where they performed their 1989 debut album in its entirety. In April, they will once again be performing in New York City and Providence, Rhode Island. Involving a host of special guests, these are the band's first performances in either city in 30 years, offering a rare opportunity to experience the band’s dynamic live presence.

“Shrine 2026” revisits one of the band's most beloved songs, from their 1994 album "Encendedor", reaffirming the group’s signature blend of emotional immediacy and sonic invention.

While The Dambuilders are most associated with the 1990s Boston rock scene, the band originated in Honolului, formed by Dave Derby, Tryan George and Eric Masunaga—veterans of Honolulu acts like the Exactones—and joined byelectric violinist Debbie Fox. After relocating to Boston in 1990, the group solidified into its definitive "classic" lineup by 1992, with Derby on vocals and bass, Masunaga on guitar, Kevin March on drums, and Joan Wasser on violin.

Now The Dambuilders re-emerge with a renewed sense of purpose with Dave Derbyand Kevin March joined by guitarist Sean Eden (Luna) and violinist Claudia Chopek (Dexys, Father John Misty, The Little River Band). Their performance of the B-side “I Hope We’re Not Too Late” uphold the bend's core elements and original identity while embracing an evolving sound.

The Dambuilders built a devoted following throughout the 1990s, touring North America, Europe and Australia alongside artists such as Lush, Luna, Jeff Buckley, Weezer and Better Than Ezra. They would release 3 records via the !Cuacha! Label and 3 albums for Elektra Records, along with a song cycle that dedicated a number of tracks to the 50 states (most notably,“Idaho” and “Delaware”).

"Encendedor" became a cornerstone of their catalog, with “Shrine” ranked at No. 17 in MTV’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ‘90s: Lollapalooza edition. Following the release of "Against the Stars" in 1997, the band stepped away from recording and touring, with its members going on to pursue a wide range of acclaimed musical projects in the years that followed.

Joan Wasser went on to work with Jeff Buckley before founding her iconic project Joan As Police Woman, and Kevin March joined Guided By Voices, having also done stints with Shudder To Think, Hot One and Mind Science Of The Mind. Eric Masunaga, who returned for The Dambuilders' 2025 reunion dates, continues his production work through Modulus Studios in Boston, while Tryan George became a video director for major acts like Smash Mouth, Our Lady Peace, and Toto.

Dave Derby went on to launch and become involved in multiple projects, including Lloyd Cole and The Negatives, Brilliantine and Gramercy Arms, for which he has collaborated with numerous luminaries, including members of Nada Surf, The Psychedelic Furs, Belly, Throwing Muses, Sparklehorse, The Philip Glass Ensemble, Dead Air, The Magnetic Fields, Codeine, Elk City, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Letters to Cleo, Fuzzy, The Monsieurs, A Girl Called Eddy, Small Factory, The King Canutes, Diesel, Royal Arctic Institute, Aeon Station and Semi-Gloss.

Fun facts: Derby launched a successful music for TV company Derby and Kotch with Michael Kotch (Eve’s Plum, Lloyd Cole and the Negatives), and did music for Sarah Silverman’s TV shows and film (“Jesus is Magic”). Working with Vitamin C (Eve’s Plum), they wrote music for Hannah Montana, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Along with Jill Sobule, they created music for the Nickelodeon TV show “Unfabulous,” starring Emma Roberts. Derby and Kotch also won a BMI Music award for the theme song and score of MTV’s “70s House.”


37 years after their first record, The Dambuilders’ story is still being written. “Shrine 2026” starts a new chapter. As vital and compelling as ever, their songs remain just as emotionally resonant and sonically adventurous today. As of April 1, "Shrine 2006" will be available on digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Tickets for their East coast shows are also available now.

2nd Annual Erv Woolsey Memorial Race Set for Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Churchill Downs

Aces Racing, the partnership founded to carry on Erv Woolsey’s legacy and lifelong love of Thoroughbred racing, is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Erv Woolsey Memorial Race presented by Aces Racing, set to return to Churchill Downs on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Tickets available now

A respected figure in both the music and horse racing communities, Woolsey’s passion for the sport extended far beyond ownership. He was deeply committed to the animals, the camaraderie and the traditions that define racing and made Churchill Downs one of his most cherished places.

Through this annual race held in his honor, Aces Racing continues its mission to celebrate Woolsey’s impact while supporting the future of the sport. A portion of ticket proceeds purchased through the official event link will benefit the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), an organization dedicated to the care, retraining and rehoming of retired racehorses.

“Being able to sponsor this race as a tribute to Erv is an absolute honor and privilege,” shares Aces Racing co-founder Jordan Markwell. “Last year, seeing friends and family come together, laughing at stories, enjoying the races and just having a great day was truly remarkable and something I know Erv would be proud of. Co-founded in 2024 by Markwell and Ashley Lamb in partnership with longtime trainer Mike Tomlinson, Aces Racing was built to carry forward those values while celebrating the sport and emphasizing education, connection and thoroughbred aftercare.

The Erv Woolsey Memorial Race presented by Aces Racing continues to serve as both a tribute and a gathering point for friends, fans and industry members who share in that mission.

Defiled Announce Dizzying New Album 'Altered State'

Having been active practitioners since 1992, Defiled are masters of the vile art known as death metal. The Tokyo legends have shared the stage with Morbid Angel, Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse and Incantation. However, these grizzled veterans are neither relics nor custodians for the old-school. Their upcoming new album, Altered State, unleashes a dizzying blast of death metal straight from the future.

Today, Defiled are announcing their new album, Altered State, with a music video for its lead single. By continuing to take the genre in unexpected directions, on “Portal”, the band unlock a head-banging new dimension.

“Altered State is an expansion of our last two albums, The Highest Level and Horror Beyond Horror”, Defiled founding member and guitarist Yusuke Sumita says. “Like many other bands, our musical roots are heavily influenced by early ‘90s death metal and ‘80s thrash and hardcore, however our interpretation is different and has branched off from the current scene. On Altered State, there are many catchy hooks, but tricky progressive rhythms and song structures can be found as well. The album may not be understandable after a few listens but it taps into a blind spot that many bands have missed”.

Third Man Records Announces Ted Lucas’ Images of Life

Today, Third Man Records announces Images of Life, a career-spanning, 3xLP retrospective boxset illuminating the staggering breadth and depth of Lucas’ work, out May 22nd.

 

In conjunction, they digitally release disc two, Rainy Days (1970-1974), available to stream in its entirety today. Disc one, Strange Mysterious Sounds (1965-1970), highlights Lucas’ flirtation with psychedelic major label clout via his bands the Spike Drivers, the Misty Wizards and the Horny Toads. Disc two, Rainy Days (1970-1974) contains the solo acoustic warmth and charm most similar to the music found on his self-titled album. Finally, disc three, Impossible Love (1979), is Lucas’ lost second album. The album, produced by the legendary Don Was, highlights Lucas’ smooth songwriting and near-"yacht rock," while never betraying the true artistry and craft of a once-in-a-generation talent.

Rainy Days (1970-1974) captures Lucas’ early ’70s period, the most consequential of his career. It was at this time that a rejected Warner Bros. songwriter demo was transformed into one of the most significant (and overlooked) private-press folk albums ever made. The compositions Lucas created between 1970 and 1974 represent the  peak of his creative work, and the decisions he made about when and how this music saw release (if it was released at all) sealed his fate to be largely unappreciated in his lifetime. Rainy Days features stunning live performances, unreleased studio tracks, and intimate home recordings that reveal a musician at peak expressive power.

Each night promises a slightly different strain of chaos, where the band will be swapping instruments, derailing songs into choreographed (and unchoreographed) bits, and crowd interaction that blurs the line between show and shared hallucination.

With a fanbase that shows up ready to contribute to the chaos, The Toxhards couldn't be more fired up about the additional dates:

"After booking our short spring run of shows, we said to The Concert Gods “Should we take a break?” And they answered back “No more shows.” Turns out they actually said “No, MORE shows!”

This will be the first summer run of our career, and our first time playing a vast majority of these cities. Can’t wait to bring our most ambitious and surprising tour yet to the east coast!"

What started as a casual hobby project among college friends has since grown into one of alternative rock's most distinctive cult followings. The Toxhards built their audience in the modern way, a breakout TikTok moment behind their single, "How Lucky Am I?" that snowballed into a string of increasingly unhinged fan favorites. First, "Doombop", a genre-blending blast of existential noise that cemented the band's reputation for delightful chaos. Then, "Ængus, The Prize-Winning Hog", a song about a hog deity that somehow racked up over 7 million views across social media and even caught the attention of Hopeless Records, who signed the band in 2023.

Last year saw the release of their debut full-length concept album, "Your Neighborhood", a record that follows a young man's spiral through heartbreak, grief, isolation, and a brush with death that forces an uncomfortable reckoning. Earning widespread praise from Knotfest and The Needle Drop for the band's songwriting ambition, melodic instincts, and insane live presence, "Your Neighborhood" made it clear that The Toxhards are a band with something for everyone and everything for someone.

MOST OF CLASSIC KING DIAMOND LINE-UP UNITES IN NEW BAND; LEX LEGION

Lex Legion is a brand new band comprised of old friends with incredible heavy metal pedigree. Comprising of four-fifths of the classic late 1980s King Diamond line-up – drummer Mikkey Dee, guitarists Pete Blakk and Andy La Rocque, and bassist Hal Patino – the group is infused with the jaw-dropping vocals of Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind). And let's not overlook that their members also boast Motörhead, Scorpions, and Death on its collective resumes. 

Lex Legion's eponymous debut album is a single-minded, future-facing throwback of world class hard rock/metal distinguished by tasteful, less-is-more arrangements, virtuoso musicianship, and relentless melody and harmony. 

"Lex Legion is totally written the way we thought in the '80s," said Mikkey Dee. "We wrote what we wanted, and if you liked it, that was a great bonus. If you didn't like it, that was fine with us, too!" 

Lex Legion was formed by Blakk and Dee, and completed by Patino, alongside La Rocque (a King Diamond constant since 1985, who also played on Death's seminal 'Individual Thought Patterns'), and finally, Rue.

This is music for hard rock/metal fans, but also with a freshness and sense of excitement that only a debut album can capture. Lex Legion's members find themselves more musically accomplished than ever before, but now free of the egos of youth; and with friendship that comes with careers spanning more than forty years. 

Despite their impressive resumes (Dee is also a Grammy winner and both La Rocque and Hal Patino are nominees) and busy individual schedules, Lex Legion is a serious passion project that's been gestating for a quarter century, until the time was right. 

Lex Legion's self-titled debut will be released by MNRK Music Group in June of 2026, with possible touring beginning the following year. And the band states its case within the first few seconds of its album opener and first single "Sleep Eternally," which drops on March 31st. 

"It has elements of everything on the album," said La Rocque. "The right tempo and the right kind of vocals, starting out like a fist in your face!" Rue's soaring pipes and ominous harmonies are framed by Dee's unmistakable powerhouse drumming, imaginative leads from both guitarists, Patino's melodic basslines, and shifts of pace and tempo that will satiate fans of more progressive sub genres. 

The second track and follow-up single "Gypsy Tears" (which arrives in May) seals the deal – eerie, rapturous, otherworldly, propulsive and evocative, but also, straight-up driving, melodic metal. 

"This is totally unique. No one is writing this kind of music and there's a big hole for us to fill," Blakk concluded. "Welcome to our new journey of friendship and hard rock!"

Renowned NYC artist Joan As Police Woman announces her new album “Real Life Evolution”, out June 12 via UK independent Reveal Records -- on CD, Limited Edition exclusive red marble vinyl and digitally. Exactly 20 years since releasing her much-loved debut album "Real Life", she has re-recorded and imagined the album in full with guests including Iggy Pop and Krystle Warren.

Joan Wasser, known professionally as Joan As Police Woman since 2004, is a critically acclaimed musician and producer, dubbed “the coolest woman in pop” (The Times) and “one of the 21st century’s best musicians” (The Economist). As a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, her music defies easy categorization, crafting her own sound that blends various genres. She has released ten albums of original material, two cover albums, and an anthology.

Twenty years in the making, this record was developed through countless nights on stage. These new arrangements are brought to life by the musical brilliance of the players who helped define their sound. In order of appearance, it features contributions by Will Graefe, Jeremy Gustin, Tony Scherr, Parker Kindred, Danny Blume, Krystle Warren, Oren Bloedow, Thomas Bartlett and Iggy Pop.

Now Joan As Police Woman is releasing 'Real Life Evolution' versions of two of the tracks from this album -- 'Flushed Chest', which was recorded at Hayyam Studios in Istanbul by Ceylan Akcar and Sinan Sakizli, and 'The Ride' was recorded at The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn by Adam Sachs.

'Flushed Chest (Real Life Evolution version)' is the latest video offering from 'The Real Life Anniversary Sessions', accompanied by Will Graefe and Jeremy Gustinand filmed by Ehud Lazin, following her powerful, stripped-down video performance of 'Anyone'.

"I wrote 'Flushed Chest' shortly after I read “Time’s Arrow” by Martin Amis. It’s the story of a life, Jeff’s life, told in backwards chronological order. I wrote this one when I was in a period of intense listening to The Wailers; Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley, one of the greatest bands of all time. This song works well with the trio so we didn’t stray far from the original recording. Singing the 3-part harmonies with Will and Jeremy is a delight." says Joan Wasser. 

"'Real Life Evolution' is ten reimagined versions of every song from the original 'Real Life' album. Some transformations are subtle. Others are seismic. All of them were made with an entirely new cast of collaborators.”

Joan As Police Woman is a sought-after collaborator who has recorded and/ or performed with hundreds of artists, including Afrobeat legend Tony Allen, Lou Reed, Anohni & The Johnsons, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rufus Wainwright, John Cale, David Byrne, Dave Okumu, Chris Dowd, Lau, Scissor Sisters, Sparklehorse, Beck, Laurie Anderson, Lloyd Cole, Afel Bocoum, Dave Gahan, Tanya Donelly, David Sylvian, Steve Jansen and Damon Albarn (who duetted with Joan on her song 'Get My Bearings' and invited her to feature on the Gorillaz album 'Song Machine'). BRANTLEY GILBERT IS SECOND MOST-ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO WITH 95 ADDS IN ITS FIRST WEEK

Following the release of “GOOD DAMN,” Brantley Gilbert returns to Country radio with his first single since signing with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville/Wheelhouse Records. Garnering 95 adds in its first week, the track was the second most added of the week, just behind Luke Bryan. This makes it the second-biggest add week of Gilbert’s career behind “Bottoms Up” (106).The track also debuted exclusively with Country radio last week before its wide release on Friday, March 27. “It means a lot to see Country radio showing this one love,” shares Gilbert. “It’s a personal song for me, so the fact that it’s connecting like this is special. Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to listen, and I appreciate everybody spinning it.”

Written by Gilbert alongside Brock Berryhill, HARDY and Taylor Phillips, and produced by Gilbert and Berryhill, “GOOD DAMN” is inspired by the real-life twists in his love story with his wife of 11 years and captures the tension of running into the one who got away and realizing the spark never disappeared.

“This song hits close to home for me,” Gilbert shared upon the song’s release. “It’s about a second chance and being honest in the moment. You see someone you’ve got a past with and realize there’s still something there. Instead of overthinking it, you shoot your shot.”

Channeling the spirit of where it all began with the kind of storytelling that first set him apart, “GOOD DAMN” acts as the first taste of what’s to come as he preps his eighth studio album, coming later this year.

“We really wanted this one to cover all the bases and then some, and I feel like it does that,” Gilbert shared with Audacy’s Katie Neal about the forthcoming project. “There are songs on here that I’ve been excited about for a long time, some of these songs are older, but we also wanted to be reminiscent of some of my earlier albums. So there’s some nostalgia in there. There’s definitely some stuff that leans a little further back, stylistically and sonically.”

Once again emerging from Scandinavia's rich atmospheric landscape, the record sharpens their signature balance of restraint and release, where shimmering guitars and slow-building intensity rise into cathartic peaks. Rooted in existential reflection and modern disillusionment, And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter navigates the space between despair and meaning with a quiet defiance. At the core of their sound lies a delicate interplay between restraint and release. Their compositions carefully cultivate tension, letting each layer unfold organically: chiming guitars, distant reverberations, and minimal rhythmic pulses that feel suspended in air, all contrast against the heavily drenched power they can unleash. Whether the passage be titanic or still, Oh Hiroshima establish a sense of openness and emotional ambiguity, allowing listeners to settle into the sonic landscape as the music works its slow ascent.

Commenting on the album, the band states, "The album title And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter is taken from T. S. Eliot's epic poem 'The Waste Land.' For this album, the dead tree works as a metaphor for ways of living that drain the world of meaning and offer no real way of navigating the hardships of life. We are living in a time when it has become harder and harder to imagine a bright future. This leaves many of us with a deep sense of hopelessness that easily breeds cynicism and apathy. In that state it becomes easy to shut the world out and give up any attempts at meaningful interaction with the world around us. A destructive cycle follows, as this leaves us with no way of sheltering ourselves from our initial despair at the state of things. But these songs also aim to paint something meaningful and hopeful. A form of idealization not rooted in naivety but in realism, because we need ideals to gather enough strength to leave the shelter less dead trees of our lives behind."

Oh Hiroshima consistently demonstrate a growing confidence in exploring the edges of their sound. Backed by special guests, a whole array of instrumentation and a growing pallet for wider experimentation, And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter evokes Oh Hiroshima's unique emotional landscape, each composition a relentlessly captivating journey that inspires reflection and release. Every motif, choice and touch contribute to the shifting terrains that gradually unfold into luminous intensity. By blending harmonics, immersive production and a deeply intuitive sense of pacing, Oh Hiroshima have crafted an album that is woven with intimacy and expansively felt.

"We tracked the foundation of the record (drums, bass and electric guitars) at Studio Gröndahl with Karl Daniel Lidén (Swarm of the Sun), who has worked with many really good bands before, he took great care in the drum setup and recording, and we're especially happy with how that turned out, adds vocalist Jakob Hemström. The rest of the album was recorded in Örebro by me and my brother, with a little help from some friends of the band. Production-wise this is our most ambitious record by far because of the number of instruments and musicians that contributed. Ten additional musicians were involved this time around. Magnus Lindberg mixed and mastered the album. It's the third time in a row. Gunshine Releases "Single Looks Good On You" Ahead of Upcoming Album Grand Rising

Florida rock band Gunshine released their third track, “Single Looks Good On You,”offering fans a taste of their forthcoming full-length album, Grand Rising, due out digitally on July 24 through vnclm_ /  Create Music Group.

 

"Single Looks Good On You'' is a spring break party rocking song inspired by the gulf coast of Florida. An anthem to those recently single ready to let loose and have a good time. With "Single Looks Good On You,'" Gunshine showcases its signature ''swamp rock'' sound with this song. It has an irresistibly hooky melody and lyric. This track is sure to be a new favorite for listeners.

 

The song was tracked in Vancouver, Canada with producer Brian Howes (Hedley, Skillet, Hinder, Nickelback, Simple Plan) at The Armoury and mixed and mastered by Chris Collier (Korn, Mick Mars, Whitesnake, Lynch Mob).

Guilt Trip Announce New Album "Armour of Angels" + Share "No Love Lost" Video

Manchester, UK-based five-piece GUILT TRIP — Jay Valentine [vocals], Jak Maden [guitar], Sam Baker [guitar], Tom Aimson [drums], and Lily Kilcoyne[bass] — are one of the fastest rising bands in heavy music. Today, they have announced their album ARMOUR OF ANGELS, which arrives June 5 via Roadrunner Records.It will be available is available in several exclusive vinyl variants and can be pre-ordered here. 

Today, the band also shares the video for the explosive new single "No Love Lost." Watch the video, directed by Luigi Sibona, below.

Guilt Trip started to forge a seething signature style without comparison back in 2015. Jay and Jak cemented a lifelong bond as best friends at four-years-old when they met at reception in school. Over the years, the duo introduced one another to various favorite bands. Eventually, they welcomed fellow Manchester scene friends Tom, Sam, and Lily to the fold. To get to this point, the collective grinded the old-fashioned way one gig at a time, bulldozing their way out of sweaty basements and onto cramped club stages. They dropped the Unrelenting Force EP during 2016 followed by their 2019 full-length debut, River of Lies. The latter spawned "Thin Ice," which reeled in 7.1 million Spotify streams and counting. 2023's Severance marked a turning point. It boasted popular collaborations with LANDMVRKS and Malevolence, while KERRANG! hailed their "unique brand of hardcore that sees them delve into elements of thrash, old-school hardcore and fist-pumping metal." Beyond sharing the stage with everyone from Sylosis to While She Sleeps, they lit up festivals, including Download, Hellfest, and more. Heavy-hitting metal act 40 Cycle Hum released their new single, "Remember The Days," via TLG | ZOID and distributed by Virgin Music Group. 

 

Anchored by vocalist Brandon Mitchell, guitarist Mark Zavon (Kill Devil Hill), bassist Matt Snell (Five Finger Death Punch), and drummer Francis Ruiz (Buckcherry), the band’s lineup delivers a focused, powerful sound built for today’s rock audience.
