Unverkalt have always been drawn to the edge. Since emerging from Greece’s underground catacombs in 2017, the five-piece post-metal band have balanced boundless atmosphere with suffocating heaviness. But now, on their upcoming third album and first for Season of Mist, they are plunging into the darkness that’s always waited for them below. While wrestling with the weight of our accursed history, Héréditaire now stands as their heaviest and most heartfelt offering.

ABOUT METALITE

Formed in 2015 by guitarist Edwin Premberg and vocalist Emma Bensing, the band quickly gained recognition for its fresh and modern take on melodic metal and their 2017 debut album Heroes in Time set the stage for METALITE’s rise.

In 2019, the band entered a new era with Biomechanicals, marking the debut of vocalist Erica Ohlsson. PALE HORSE RITUAL have released the official music video for “Bloody Demon,” a single taken from their debut full-length album Diabolic Formation, available now via Black Throne Productions.

Directed by Chris Babalis of Chris’ Witchy Stuff, the “Bloody Demon” video captures the band’s heavy sound and dark philosophical themes through a raw visual approach. Featuring footage shot by Ryan Hilton, Jeff Burbridge, Dave Machado, and Chris Lazaar, the video serves as a visual companion to one of the album’s most personal tracks.

“Bloody Demon” explores themes of self-acceptance and rebellion against societal expectations, embracing personal flaws, controversial viewpoints, and the isolation that can come with rejecting conformity. Told through the perspective of a godless man dealing with heartbreak and devotion to a dangerously intoxicating love, the song confronts loneliness, emotional ruin, and attachment to destructive relationships.

Diabolic Formation is the debut full-length release from PALE HORSE RITUAL, officially formed in 2024 by lifelong musical collaborators Paco (bass and vocals) and Jonah Santa-Barbara (drums). The duo joined forces with CANNABUS frontman and lead guitarist James Matheson, forming a creative partnership rooted in heavy rock, doom influence, and direct emotional expression.

Later that year, the band entered the studio with producer and musician Will Adams to record Diabolic Formation. Adams later joined PALE HORSE RITUAL during the album’s creation, contributing rhythm guitar and backing vocals and helping shape the band’s evolving sound.

After 20 years, Bleed from Within have reached their Zenith. The Glasgow firebrands are one of the hardest working acts in metal: playing shows globally with everyone from Megadeth to Slipknot, all while writing and regularly releasing monstrous, exhilarating songs. Across 11 songs, Zenith explores the parameters of what pulse-pounding metal can do. ‘Violent Nature’ is the most attention-demanding opener Bleed have ever penned, accelerating from a distorted intro to an onslaught of drums, blitzkrieg riffs and layer upon layer of screams. Single ‘In Place of Your Halo’ is a heavier counterpoint: its hulking groove leads up to a surprising bagpipe section, keeping the band in touch with their homeland as they affirm themselves on the world’s stage. ØVI Release New Video For “Absolve” From EP Hedera Helix, Out Today

ØVI unveil “Absolve,” the closing track from their new EP Hedera Helix, available today on all streaming platforms. Serving as the final statement of the four-track release, “Absolve” channels confrontation into clarity, presenting metal as a force of transformation rather than collapse.

Named after the ivy plant Hedera helix, a species known for relentless expansion and endurance, the EP reflects themes of growth through pressure and renewal through destruction. Across the record, ØVI examine toxic relationships, parasitic dynamics, and the reclamation of personal will. The music moves with intention, tracing the moment when survival becomes self-definition.

“Absolve” stands as the EP’s culmination. Anger becomes a refining element, burning away stagnation and sharpening purpose. The track mirrors ivy’s persistence. Structures that no longer sustain life are dismantled so growth can take hold. The recurring refrain, “Absolve, Rectify, Solidify,” functions as ritual language, a mantra aimed at severing attachment to decay and reinforcing forward motion.

The song closes Hedera Helix with momentum and resolve. Rather than yielding to exhaustion, ØVI push toward transcendence, choosing action, renewal, and evolution. The record ends in motion, advancing with deliberate force and unbroken focus.

SUNSWARM Announce Crushing New Single "Erasure" Ahead of Forthcoming Album

Southampton, UK industrial post-metal act SUNSWARM announce the release of their new single "Erasure."

"Erasure" is not structured as a traditional single. Across eight minutes, the track unfolds as a bleak and overwhelming piece of industrial post-metal, built from early 90s industrial sampling techniques, scorched guitar textures, and vocals shaped by black-metal intensity. Rhythms move like shifts in pressure rather than conventional song structures, creating an atmosphere of suffocation and psychological weight.

Emerging from UK South Coast underground scene, SUNSWARM draw influence from the brutal desolation of GODFLESH, the spiritual intensity of AMENRA, the sonic extremity of THE BODY, and the cosmic dread of ORANSSI PAZUZU. Their sound merges industrial noise, post-metal density, and extreme vocal expression into something immersive and deeply physical.

The band describe the track as the emotional entry point into the record: "This is the opening track from our forthcoming album. It’s not a song. It’s 8 minutes of bleak, overwhelming Industrial Post-Metal. No Light. This nihilism is not a political or philosophical position. It is waking in the middle of the night and feeling a void. The growing feeling of strangulation in this creeping dystopia that the power structures and their tech is dragging us and our children into.

In celebration of World Spay Day today, Feb. 24, country music icon Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation has announced a three-year partnership for its spay & neuter program, “It Takes Balls,” with the Doris Day Animal Foundation. The 2026 “It Takes Balls” campaign will focus specifically on Southern California. The initiative, which kicked off in 2023, raises awareness for the importance of spay & neuter and has provided over 125 grants thus far to qualifying low-cost programs throughout Tennessee and Texas. 

“We’re so excited and honored to be partnering with the Doris Day Animal Foundation and are grateful for their amazing commitment to spay & neuter,” said Lambert. “Everyone knows that Doris Day holds an unparalleled place in film and music – but do they also know she started Spay Day USA in 1995 (now World Spay Day)? ANTIMOZDEBEAST Releases Atmospheric New Single "The Temple of Vindication"

Enter into the "The Temple of Vindication" for an atmospheric exploration of introspection. In this new single, ANTIMOZDEBEAST, through an enveloping sound driven by industrial electronics, textural white noise and dream-like spoken lyrics, contains a philosophical questioning of the human experience. 

ANTIMOZDEBEAST is the extreme industrial and electronic black metal project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Gabriel Palacio. "The Temple of Vindication" crawls through inner rebellion and spiritual interrogation, drawing lines between salvation, illusion, and the mind’s desperate attempts to interpret its suffering. This latest offering is taken from the upcoming full length album The Vagrant Unkempt Grave scheduled for release on May 15, 2026.

Seeking to make sense of the world in which we exist, both as an individual and examining the systems of power, "The Temple of Vindication" in its creation is a demonstration of how artistic expression can facilitate a means of escapism.

The record will be self released on May 15, 2026 and represents the next stage in the project’s ongoing examination of spiritual conflict, psychological unrest, and the erosion of collective belief systems.

Active since 2019, ANTIMOZDEBEAST has developed a distinct sound built on harsh electronic structures, ritualistic pacing, and confrontational vocal expression. The Vagrant Unkempt Grave expands this approach into a cohesive meditation on the vagrant soul, the decay of creation, and the search for truth within systems shaped by myth, power, and distortion. The album spans seven tracks across fifty five minutes, including "Solitude", "The Temple of Vindication", and "Torn Mentality", and presents a continuous descent through themes of isolation, belief, manipulation, and internal collapse.

All music on The Vagrant Unkempt Grave is written, performed, recorded, mixed, mastered, and visually conceptualized by Gabriel Palacio. The album reflects a fully autonomous creative process and continues the project’s focus on exposing fractures within religion, politics, and social structures while encouraging critical thought and personal awakening.

Rocklahoma Announces Explosive Lineup For 2026

The 20th Anniversary of Rocklahoma is officially locked and loaded.

Taking place September 4, 5, and 6, 2026 at the Rockin' Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma, Rocklahoma returns with one of the most explosive lineups in its two-decade history.

The three-day Labor Day tradition continues to deliver the loudest weekend of the year in America's heartland and includes  DEB Concerts' Thursday Night Throwdown Kick-Off Party on Thursday, September 3.

GODSMACK, PAPA ROACH, and SLAYER, who will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of their seminal Reign In Blood album, are set to headline on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. 

Joining the heavy-hitting headliners across the weekend are the best of the best in rock music — ranging from legacy acts to the new breed of superstars to up-and-comers. There truly is something for everyone across the event!
