Jamey Johnson’s 2025 'The Last Honky Tonk Tour'

Award-winning country singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson will launch his 36-city headlining tour, The Last Honky Tonk Tour, on June 4 at Wichita Riverfest in Wichita, KS. Tickets are on sale now and more dates will be announced soon.

“The tour will be a lot of fun,” says Johnson. “It’s a chance for us to hang out every night, where we get to walk onstage and show off what we’ve learned over the past 20 years. This is my 20th year on the road, not counting the road gigs I did in the 10 years before that.”

The tour’s name comes from the song he recently recorded, which was the title track of the 2010 album by The Wayne Mills Band, featuring musician Jason “Rowdy” Cope on guitar. “I thought that the name sounded pretty good as a tour name – The Last Honky Tonk Tour,” he adds.

The tour title’s lyrics include, “I’ll be there when they burn the last honky tonk down/
In body, mind, and spirit, under the table, or under the ground/
The fading echoes of a barroom band might be the only sound/
I’ll be there when they burn the last honky tonk down.”

Johnson’s new recording – which was completed with producer Buddy Cannon a few weeks ago – and the tour name are in tribute to Mills and Cope, both of whom were his dear friends. Mills was murdered at a Nashville bar in 2013. Jason “Rowdy” Cope, a member of The Steel Woods who had previously been a member of Johnson’s band, died in 2021 from complications from diabetes.

“When Wayne and Rowdy got together and did that record, that song made it on my radar,” he says. “Back then, I played that song several times with Wayne. We would do it at shows. So, it is one I haven’t done in a while.

“And now Wayne’s son, Jack, is a badass guitar player. He says he learned it all from Rowdy. I don’t doubt that at all. Jack really is something else!

“I thought, ‘Man, his dad would be proud. Let’s break that song out and get Jack to play guitar on it.’ I am proud to have him playing on it.”

This is one of more than 50 new songs Johnson has recorded since releasing Midnight Gasoline, his first new solo album in 14 years, in late 2024. He will preview some of the new songs during this tour and begin releasing them later this year.

“We are going to do some of the new stuff,” Johnson adds. “We will do some of the songs from Midnight Gasoline from last year and all the years before. Whatever album you like, we will do some of those songs.

“It’s exciting to play the new songs,” he says. “I like it when people tell me they have heard the new stuff and they like it. I like it when people have something else to listen to. Sometimes it’s as simple as that.”

About Jamey Johnson:
The 10-time GRAMMY nominee has been called “one of the greatest country singers of our time,” by The Washington Post. His music has garnered international acclaim and is embraced by fans of classic and contemporary country, as well as Americana and mainstream rock.

The Grand Ole Opry member is also widely regarded as one of the greatest country songwriters of his generation. He is one of only two people in the history of country music (along with Kris Kristofferson) to win two Song of the Year awards in the same year – for “Give It Away” and “In Color” – from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association.

A consummate storyteller, his songs have been recorded by George Strait, Trace Adkins, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, James Otto, Joe Nichols and others. He is “a first-rate preservationist of classic country songwriting,” says The New York Times.

His 2024 album, Midnight Gasoline is a musical continuation of his last two solo studio albums, That Lonesome Song, which was certified double platinum for 2 million in sales, and the gold-certified 2010 album, The Guitar Song, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart. Rolling Stone and SPIN named The Guitar Song to their all-genre Top 5 Best Albums of the Year. (He also released a 2012 duets project, the GRAMMY-nominated Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran.)

“In Color” has received a 5X-Platinum certification for sales/streams of five million, and “High Cost of Living” was certified platinum. “Between Jennings and Jones” and “That Lonesome Song” have been certified gold for sales/streams of 500,000.

LAINEY WILSON’S NEW SINGLE “SOMEWHERE OVER LAREDO” IS MOST ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO THIS WEEK

16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winning artist Lainey Wilson’s new single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” is the most added song at country radio this week with 129 adds. Furthering its success, the track garnered over 1.16 million streams across platforms in the first 24 hours of its release, earning Wilson her biggest first day of streaming to date.

The song is from the new deluxe version of Wilson’s award-winning album, Whirlwind, which will be released August 22 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville in celebration of the record’s one-year anniversary (pre-order/pre-save/pre-add here). In addition to Whirlwind’s original 14 songs, the extended edition will feature five additional tracks: “Somewhere Over Laredo,” “Bell Bottoms Up,” “King Ranch, King George, King James,” “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” and “Peace, Love and Cowboys.”

Already receiving widespread attention, Wilson performed “Somewhere Over Laredo” live for the first time at the 2025 American Music Awards earlier this week and appeared on CBS Mornings to discuss the new track, while Billboard praised, “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.”

Written by Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and Andy Albert, the track honors the timeless classic “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” while showcasing Wilson’s poignant storytelling and authentic country sound, as she reflects on past love and pays tribute to small towns across the country.

The release adds to yet another triumphant year for Wilson, who won four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards earlier this month: Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind) and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. During the awards ceremony, she also debuted a new song, “Trailblazer,” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, which she wrote with Lambert and Brandy Clark.

Additionally, Wilson is in the midst of her nearly sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which includes stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Austin’s Moody Center and Denver’s Ball Arena among many others. The upcoming dates follow the tour’s first leg—a completely sold-out extensive run across the U.K and Europe earlier this year. See below for the complete tour itinerary, full details can be found at www.laineywilson.com/tour.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Miranda Lambert, Eric Church), Whirlwind was released to overwhelming critical attention last summer with The Tennessean calling it “the best release of her career,” while NPR Music praised, “She’s becoming a major headlining country star, and this album feels like it’s cementing that position” and Rolling Stone declared, “her music has a blend of brawn, heart, and willingness to upend the status quo that’s not only listenable, but also the kind of thing you can’t help but root for.”

In just the past year, Wilson was also inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, performed during the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards and two awards at the 58th CMA Awards, where she also made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. Wilson also received two awards at this year’s ACM Honors: the prestigious Triple Crown Award—presented to those who have won ACM Entertainer of the Year, Female/Male Vocalist of the Year and New Female/Male Vocalist of the Year—and the Milestone Award, which is given to an artist who has had an unprecedented or outstanding year in country music.

A prolific and sought-after songwriter, Wilson has scored eight #1 hits including “4x4xU,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x Platinum Certified “Heart Like A Truck,” and has collaborated with artists such as Post Malone (“Nosedive”), Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”), HARDY (“wait in the truck”) and Myles Smith (“Nice To Meet You”). She is also a triple threat within entertainment as a singer, songwriter and actor and will make her feature film acting debut in next year’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, after first acting in Paramount’s hit television series, Yellowstone. Moreover, Wilson wrote and recorded “Out of Oklahoma,” which was featured in the new Twisters movie.

Morgan Wallen Claims No. 1 Spot on Billboard 200 and Hot 100

With Billboard calling him “one of the biggest stars in the music world right now” and The New Yorker adding “[he’s] popular on a scale that seems to circumvent genre entirely” on the heels of his fourth studio album release, Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem further solidifies his standing, debuting today at No. 1 globally across seven countries.

In the U.S., Wallen broke his own record for most simultaneous entries in Billboard Hot 100 history, with all 37 songs off the album charting. He also currently occupies the No. 1, 2 and 3 slots simultaneously with his duet with Tate McRae “What I Want,” “Just In Case,” and the title track “I’m The Problem,” respectively – becoming the first country artist ever to do so.

I’m The Problem became Wallen’s first No. 1 debut on the U.K.’s Official Charts, as Wallen joins a small group of elite artists including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Post Malone and Beyonce as the only artists in U.K. chart history to debut No. 1 with a country album. The feat is especially notable as One Thing At A Time previously marked Wallen’s highest debut on the chart at No. 40.

“The massive growth that we’ve seen in the UK is truly something special,” Wallen shared with Official Charts. “One Thing At A Time debuted at #40 and I’m The Problem is debuting at #1 only two years apart. I am so grateful and humbled my music is connecting in a place where we have spent time and worked to build a real and meaningful relationship with our fans there. Thank you guys so much.”

I’m The Problem additionally debuted at No. 1 across five other countries – including New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Norway and Scotland – and became Wallen’s third album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the largest streaming week for any album in 2025 so far in both the U.S. and Canada.

Wallen’s preceding albums – Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing At A Time – have resided in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart for more than 100 weeks each, making him the first artist ever to achieve that feat.

Dubbed a “self-examining storytelling extravaganza” by Billboard, I’m The Problem features 37 tracks, and combines Wallen’s country, cross and dirt-rock influences, underscored by collaborations with pop superstars Post Malone and Tate McRae, plus close friends Eric Church, ERNEST and HARDY. The fusion of influences left Grammy.com lauding, “[Wallen] remains as eclectic as ever, shifting easily from R&B-inflected slow jams to rough-and-ready outlaw country stomps.”

The album opens with the title track, “I’m The Problem,” a cutting double-edged confession that reveals the complexities of a relationship at its lowest point. It concludes with “I’m A Little Crazy,” a quiet, self-reflective song that looks inward while examining the world outside. As with Wallen’s other albums, his eclectic taste in music creeps into his songs. But with this album, he’s really honed his ability to integrate those influences, drawing on guitar sounds of Indie bands like The War On Drugs, country greats like Keith Whitley and hip-hop drum tracks. Between all of that, Wallen also reaches listeners on a granular level.

While Wallen co-wrote 22 of the tracks, he tapped into 49 songwriters, curating a tracklist that’s both deeply personal and resonant, viewing life events through a different lens than he’s used in the past. Hits Daily Double observes that the result is “a 37-song cycle of self-reckoning,” adding, “he doesn’t sugarcoat or make excuses.”

Wallen recently debuted seven of the album’s songs at his inaugural, self-curated and multi-genre Sand In My Boots Festival, including the title track “I’m The Problem;” the Grammy.com-praised “deceptively smooth-sounding” “Kick Myself;” “Don’t We,” declared an “arena-ready track” by Billboard“I’m A Little Crazy,” noted as “a gorgeous paranoiac ballad” by Washington Post“I Got Better;” “Superman” and “Just In Case.”

Wallen’s coinciding 2025 I’m The Problem Tour kicks off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The 20-show run will include stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more. With a second stop added in Madison, Wisconsin, Wallen’s appearances will mark the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel join in direct support with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson as first-of-three across select dates. Coupled with May’s Sand In My Boots Festival and a special one-night-only album release celebration show on May 28 at Roundhouse in London, these 22 shows are the only place to see the superstar in 2025.

About Morgan Wallen:
Morgan Wallen sets the pace in, and beyond, country music – with Billboard calling him “the biggest country star in the world” and The New York Times doubling down, declaring he’s “one of the biggest stars in pop, period.” With 18 No. 1 singles at Country radio, 19 Billboard Music Awards to-date, more than 170 weeks spent atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (the most in country music history), the highest selling country tour under his belt and more, Wallen has propelled country music to a global level in less than five years. As Las Vegas Review Journal puts it: “Wallen’s appeal is remarkable as it is fueled by his ability to connect to a crowd.”

With Dangerous: The Double Album, Wallen solidified his place as country music’s “dominant superstar,” with the project recently being named Billboard’s No. 1 Album of the 21st Century. One Thing At A Time’s groundbreaking success saw Wallen’s crossover appeal reach a global scale, as he topped the Australian ARIA charts for the first time, along with a host of other accolades. With three No. 1’s already hailing from his fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, available now via Big Loud / Mercury, Wallen digs even deeper, uncovering a side that’s both more vulnerable and more resolute than ever before.

As Wallen prepares a refreshed setlist for his 20-stadium-show I’m the Problem Tour, kicking off on June 20 in Houston, Texas, he also highlighted some of his favorite artists by bringing the personally-curated, multi-genre Sand In My Boots Music Festival to Gulf Shores, Alabama in May, which sold out in less than two hours.

Wallen continues to donate a portion of every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation — which supports youth music and athletic programs and gives communities access to essentials in times of crisis. More at MorganWallen.com.

PHIL X & THE DRILLS Share New Single "I Love You on Her Lips" + Lyric Video

Today, PHIL X & THE DRILLS share a fresh single from their recently released new album 'Pow! Right in the Kisser' which is out now via Frontiers Music Srl. the single is titled "I Love You on Her Lips" and has a lyric video riding alongside.

About the track, PHIL X comments:

"Everybody knows a friend in a relationship where the partner says 'I love you,' but it's obvious that the partner doesn't mean it. That's what 'I Love You On Her Lips' is about. Love is on her lips but not in her heart. The track goes back to an old punky Drills vibe with classic rock thrown in there. I wanted to have old David Lee Roth-type screams in there to take it over the top. I love the energy & Gary Novak delivered the perfect drums."

About the new album, he adds:

"'POW! Right in the Kisser' was a good ten years in the making. 'Battleship' was tracked in 2014. I just kept writing, and we'd record and then kept the whole 'different drummer on every song' thing going. It became a very special collection of songs & vibes. It's very exciting for me to share something like that with the world."

Hiroe Unveil Video for "Collider" From Album "Wield" Out 6/10

Hiroe, the new darlings of the American post-rock underground, have revealed their latest single "Collider," taken from their forthcoming debut album, Wield, out June 20 via Pelagic Records.

Watch the "Collider" video below.

Pre-order Wield here.

"Collider" is a 10-minute epic, presenting listeners with a sonic journey into the heart of modern existence, reflecting life's often opposing and overwhelming demands. Its elaborate structure provides the band with an opportunity to showcase diverse instrumentation, from the resonant standing bass and the delicate chime of a glockenspiel to captivating guitar tapping sections that crescendo into a powerful three-part harmony. Embodying a musical representation of the contradictory elements in balancing life's competing priorities, it evokes the moment when all facets of life come to a head, resulting in a profound convergence, just as its title, "Collider," implies.

Hiroe guitarist Eric Kusanagi comments, "'Collider' is a song that when we play live seems to be a crowd favorite. It's the longest song in our catalogue, at about 10 minutes long, and we wanted to take the listener on a journey that goes through a lot of peaks and valleys."

The single is another glimpse of the forthcoming album Wield, showcasing the Philadelphia-based quintet mastering their craft, of creating compelling melodies that sound larger than life.

2022 saw Hiroe burst onto the scene with an explosive debut EP full of soaring anthems and sublime soundscapes. Combining the sonic expansiveness of Deftones with the dynamic heaviness of bands like Isis and Caspian, Hiroe immediately already figured out how to make the most majestic sounding post-rock early in their career.

"Our first release, Wrought, was a statement of creation," explains principal songwriter and guitarist Kusanagi.

For the recording of WieldJill Paslier moved from bass to guitars, with Brian Kong (guitars), Jon Seiler (bass), and Dan Sagherian (drums) joining to complete the lineup. Produced once more by Mario Quintero (Spotlights), Wield capitalizes on everything the band learned in the creation of its predecessor, adding to it a new focus on textural intricacies and compositional detail.

"We wanted to show a larger range of musical themes on this record," continues Kusanagi. "You'll hear us dive into some synth work, some piano work, some really interesting effects that Mario helped us dial up."

As a result, Wield packs in a huge range of details, which reveal themselves over repeated listens.

Nevertheless, Wield is still an affair of instant gratification for fans of guitar driven post-rock. From the soaring leads of "Tides" to the epic finale of "I've Been Waiting For You All My Life," Hiroe show they've upped their game in every department, but especially that which tugs at your heartstrings.

Wield presents the brave new future we all need in these confusing times. A new American frontier on which we can build our wildest dreams and our most daring ambitions.

Ministry Releases First-Ever Music Video For “I’ll Do Anything For You,” The Latest Single From “The Squirrely Years Revisited,

Al Jourgensen wearing heart-shaped sunglasses, pigtails, and a shirt that says “I’m Adorable”? Yes, that’s what you’ll see in the brand-new, first-time-ever video for Ministry’s oldie but goodie hit, “I’ll Do Anything For You.”

See the video helmed by Vicente Cordero and Ben Garcia Below:

It’s all part of the continuing “when hell freezes over” moments that have been the hallmarks of Ministry’s latest work, The Squirrely Years Revisited (out now via Cleopatra Records) that sees Jourgensen making peace with the past by reexamining his long-dormant synth pop hits and giving them a fresh polish 40 years later.

And the band is having a helluva fun time doing so. On the ongoing The Squirrely Years Tour, wrapping up June 5, Jourgensen, alongside John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Pepe Clarke Magaña (drums), Paul D’Amour (bass) and two backup Squirrelette singers have been getting rave reviews for the blast from-the-past shows:

“Ministry sauntered onto the stage like a sparkly-swirled, aromatic bulldozer to take Brooklyn back to a bastardized time in music when synth-pop bounced over the air like a dazzling gleam of exploding stars” —Metal Insider

“In diving back into their sleaziest, funkiest, most absurd incarnation, Ministry gave Chicago a homecoming worth dancing—and twitching—to.” —Metal Planet Music

“For once, it feels like Jourgensen is not taking himself too seriously. He’s just having fun with the songs and the crowd. The costumes are silly, the visuals are funny, and the backup dancers are over the top, but it only adds to the celebration. The show was nothing but a good time. … It may just be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You never know if Uncle Al and Ministry will perform these songs again.” —Illinois Entertainer

“Ministry’s performance was more than a set — it was a sonic reckoning. From the crushing instrumentation to the blistering visuals, the show felt like a full-frontal confrontation with the chaos of the modern world. The crowd didn’t just watch — they absorbed it, reacted to it, and walked away a little rattled in the best way possible.” —Concert Crap

ABOUT MINISTRY

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry’s 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, was released March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

BIND TORTURE KILL Unleash Harrowing Visual for “Fétide”

High-octane hardcore unit BIND TORTURE KILL have unleashed the music video for their track "Fétide," a searing cut from their latest full-length album, Sauvagerie. True to its name, “Fétide” is a festering blast of sonic brutality - an ever-evolving composition where no riff is played more than twice, save for the crushing final passage. The track refuses to settle, instead spiraling through dissonance and controlled chaos with surgical precision.

Lyrically, the band plunges listeners into the grotesque mindscape of a deformed man imprisoned and paraded as a sideshow attraction, exposing humanity’s darkest voyeuristic instincts. The accompanying video amplifies this narrative with stark, unsettling imagery that mirrors the song’s themes of exploitation, alienation, and raw despair.

Sauvagerie marks a pivotal moment for BIND TORTURE KILL—a record that balances sheer sonic violence with conceptual depth, pushing the boundaries of modern hardcore. “Fétide” stands as one of its most harrowing testaments.

The band comments on the song, stating "Fétide is an intense and evolving piece composed of riffs interwoven with each other without being played more than twice, with the exception of the very last one. The lyrics denounce the unhealthy curiosity of human beings by immersing us in the place of a deformed man locked in a cage and exhibited in a fairground show like a beast."

Shredd and Ragan Present The Great North American Rush Off To Honor Neil Peart

Buffalo’s #1 morning show, 97 Rock’s Shredd & Ragan, is excited to announce The Great North American Rush Off—a heartfelt tribute to one of rock's greatest legends, Neil Peart, the iconic drummer of Canada’s #1 band, Rush. This project aims to honor Peart’s legacy while raising funds for The Neil Peart Memorial at Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie, St. Catharines, his hometown.

In 2020, the St. Catharines City Council, with overwhelming community support, voted to name the newly rebuilt pavilion at Lakeside Park after Neil Peart. However, the vision for this memorial extends beyond the pavilion. Plans are in place to erect two larger-than-life bronze sculptures of Neil Peart, connected by a pathway featuring experiential and interpretive elements that celebrate his personal and professional legacies, including his time with Rush.

**Join Us in Celebrating Neil Peart's Legacy!**

The Great North American Rush Off is designed to spark conversations about the urgent need to raise funds —$500,000— to kickstart the construction of The Neil Peart Memorial. Unfortunately, momentum has slowed since the project's announcement prior to the pandemic. But fear not—Shredd & Ragan are here to help reignite the passion!

"Rush means so much to music fans in the Buffalo area, so we wanted to find a way to help fans give back,” remarked Shredd & Ragan. “When we tell them about the Neil Peart Memorial, they can't wait to help.”

**A Call For Covers**

Shredd & Ragan are calling on bands—both local and national—to submit their Rush cover songs. These tracks will be featured in a curated digital and physical compilation, with all proceeds benefiting The Neil Peart Memorial.

“This will be a fitting tribute to Neil and a spectacular monument where fans can gather and share their memories,” said David DeRocco of the Neil Peart Memorial Committee. “I’m looking forward to hearing the tributes being created through The Great North American Rush Off, and even more excited to be moving this project forward to completion.”

**The Goal**

By launching this project, Shredd & Ragan’s goal is to create awareness for the various sponsorship packages available to help raise the necessary funds. Individual Rush fans can purchase $500 CAD “Wood Level Sponsorship” packages which includes a personalized message of up to 250 characters displayed at the park. If all of the packages are sold, the park will raise the necessary funds to fully complete the project.

“When we started digging into the idea of raising money for the park, it became apparent that our mission is to help raise awareness that this park exists and needs to be funded,” explains MX2 Media’s Michael Parrish. “If our efforts spread the word to the legion of Rush fans around the world, I have no doubt they will rise up and help turn this  park from a concept to reality.”

The Great North American Rush Off is just getting started and will expand as word spreads. A charity concert is also being planned in Buffalo featuring some of the bands that submitted songs, along with a charity auction of high-value items donated to help raise funds.

Together, we can turn this vision into reality. Stay tuned for updates and get involved today!

Peace & Love!
Shredd & Ragan

Canadian pop siren LINDS SAIS heats up summer with '2 Hot Weeks of You', teasing debut EP

Canadian pop starlet Linds Sais is back with her sizzling new single '2 Hot Weeks of You', a slick and sultry ballad about today’s dating culture and the use of dating apps, where a good "hot and heavy" match that is ultimately only fleeting.  Previewing her debut 'Glitter Cowgirl' EP, this track showcases her talent and shows her to be an artist capable of articulating the complexities of modern romance.

Her sonically-balanced flow of raw emotion and artistic depth is firmly establishing her as a captivating voice, mixing Pink's fearless vulnerability, Lana Del Rey's melancholic allure, and Carly Rae Jepsen's ability to find noteworthy dynamics and hope in the everyday. With delicate yet commanding vocals, Linds Sais masterfully navigates the landscape and disillusionment of dating apps, hookup culture and social media, transforming the hollow echoes of digital connections into a poignant, universal anthem.

Hailing from the heart of Canada - Winnipeg - where vast prairie skies echo the expansive reach of her vocal range, Linds Sais emerges as a captivating artist. With magnetic allure and charisma, she has emerged as an artist for our time—undeniably cool and always topical, with a sound that's irresistible.

"The song '2 Hot Weeks of You' is about the difficulties in today’s dating world, where meeting people is centered around dating apps. Ghosting and short flings run rampant, and it can be hard to establish a meaningful connection that stands the test of time," says Linds Sais.

"This song tells the story of a fiery fling that is hot and heavy for a couple of weeks, only for one of the parties to pull back and move on to a new connection after the 2-week mark. The song sounds like it’s the last week of summer and you’re remembering all the great days with both happiness, but also an air of sadness."

On '2 Hot Weeks of You', Linds Sais picks up where she left off on 'Golden Hour', exploring yet another facet of our modern-day Insta culture in a sun-soaked delight that channels the glow of radiant selfies into a playful, feel-good anthem for your inner hype squad. With a voice that floats like vapour and hits like velvet, she observingly explores the sunny intersection of self-love, community and social media.

Inspired by Lauryn Hill and Whitney Houston, and rooted in the soul-bearing intentionality of Alicia Keys and vocal fire of TLC, Linds Sais blends classic influence with a fresh sensibility that feels entirely her own. Her sound is silk-wrapped storytelling: smooth, vulnerable, and unexpectedly powerful when the emotion demands it.

Her forthcoming 'Glitter Cowgirl' EP is a mirror for those trying to grow up gracefully in this chaotic world.
The seeds for this release were laid during the hush of the pandemic, when something shifted. The world paused—and Linds hit play on the backlog of emotion and experience she had yet to articulate. What emerged was a flood of songwriting that felt both personal and universal with lyrics and hooks that often hit in the middle of the night.

As of May 28, '2 Hot Weeks of You' will be available from fine music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music  and Bandcamp. Her self-released 'Glitter Cowgirl' EP will be released digitally on August 1.

Kenny Chesney is Billboard's No. 1 Country Artist of the 21st Century

Kenny Chesney woke up to some very outrageous news. With a landmark opening week at Sphere in Las Vegas, where he became the first country act to headline, the news broke that the soft-spoken songwriter/superstar was named Billboard’s Top Country Artist of the 21st Century. Recognizing his imprint on the genre across both singles and the larger perspective of his albums, the honor comes on the heels of being a 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame Electee, alongside June Carter Cash and producer/executive Tony Brown.

“No one gets up to go the gym and expects to see news like this on their phone,” the clearly stunned Chesney said. “All I was ever trying to do was find the best possible songs, things that spoke to the heart of how No Shoes Nation lives – and then taking that music, those albums that were slices of my life out to everyone who wanted to come out, be a part of the shows, the moments and the memories we made in every city we played.”

Known for spreading positive energy through his singular rock/country hybrid, the man Wall Street Journal crowned “King of the Road” has taken the music to a whole lot of new places, from college bars to major NFL stadiums and now Sphere. Just as importantly, he’s defined the sound of coming of age, finding peace in the whirlwind pace and kicking back when it’s most needed for people living in all kinds of places across the nation.

With 33 Billboard No. 1 Country Airplay songs, more than anyone since the chart’s inception, nine all-genre Billboard 200 Albums, as well as all 17 of his 21st century albums topping their Country Albums chart, Chesney’s music has been an indelible part of what country music can contain. Enlisting duet partners Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, the Wailers, P!nk and Uncle Kracker on major hits, as well as Mindy Smith, Ziggy Marley, Jimmy Buffett, George Jones and Joe Walsh, Chesney’s country is an expansive place.

As Billboard’s Jim Asker noted, “Kenny Chesney rules as the No. 1 country act on Billboard’s recap of the first 25 years of the 21st century… The ranking is based on performance on the weekly is based on performance on the weekly Top Country Albums and Hot Country Songs charts from the start of 2000 through the end of 2024.

“After debuting on Billboard’s charts in December 1993 and becoming a format force by 1995, Chesney dominated the first quarter of the 21st century, landing all 17 of his No. 1s on the weekly Top Country Albums chart between 2000 and 2020. With his trademark mix of love songs and breezy beach singalongs, he also ran up 20 No. 1s (of 23 total) on Hot Country Songs in that span. Both totals are the highest among all artists in those years.”

With Heart*Life*Music, his first book, due in November of this year and available for preorder now, it’s been quite a journey. For fans of the leader of the borderless No Shoes Nation, who’ve marveled at his Sphere residency, there’s so much more to come.

Chase Rice Expands 'Go Down Singin' International Tour' with 13 New Dates

After an incredible response to the launch of his already-extended Go Down Singin’ International Tour, which kicked off in Australia ahead of dates across the U.S. and Canada throughout the summer, multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Chase Rice again expands the run with 13 additional dates announced today. Tickets to the newly added shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 30 at 10 a.m. local time via ChaseRice.com.

Bringing Rice’s critically acclaimed album Go Down Singin’ to audiences across the globe, the remaining stops on the tour see him joined by fellow singer-songwriters Cory Asbury, Wade Bowen, Gritty Flyright, Tyler Halverson, Hannah McFarland, McCoy Moore, Drake White and Charlie Worsham across various dates (see full listing below; support assets available HERE).

The international run highlights Rice’s widely celebrated artistic evolution in a live setting. As Billboard declares, “his new music leans toward rootsier, raw-rock driven sounds, trading party anthems for introspective lyrical themes,” while “his voice conveys a crackling warmth of self-reflection and an easy-going comfortableness with his new sound.” Rolling Stone highlights the album as “an excellent collection of poignant, often anthemic country,” noting that it finds Rice “trying to do what creative people are supposed to: grow and change,” while Cowboys & Indians proclaims that “maturity and clarity are the reality on Chase Rice's new album… one of 2024’s most well-received country albums.”

Rice further showcased this new direction with surprise follow-up project Fireside Sessions, which features all 25 songs from both Go Down Singin’ and prior album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell as live, single-take versions with cowriters including Lori McKenna, Jackson Dean, Hunter Phelps, Randy Montana and more as featured artists.

His latest offering, the brand-new Live From Chief’s EP released in Friday, March as a surprise for fans, includes Rice’s takes on two songs from his heroes – Eric Church’s “Carolina” and George Strait’s “I Can Still Make Cheyenne” – as well as the previously unreleased original, “Cowboy Goodbye.” Listen HERE.

Dierks Bentley Establishes Broken Branches Fund to Provide Mental Health Resources Through Music Health Alliance

Today, award-winning songwriter and entertainer Dierks Bentley announces the establishment of the Broken Branches Fund with a multi-year financial commitment to provide mental health resources to the creative and touring communities. The Broken Branches Fund will be administered in partnership with Music Health Alliance (MHA)and will provide mental health grants for qualified candidates and their families to cover outpatient counseling, as well as a plan for follow-up care. More information and to apply for access to all resources that MHA’s groundbreaking Music Industry Mental Health Fund provides is available HERE. Additionally, fans will have an opportunity to donate to the fund themselves throughout the summer at tour stops and other activations and online at https://bit.ly/DonateToMHA25.

“Making this album and prepping for the tour, I’ve never been more aware of the sacrifice that the people in this town make every day to keep country music playing. Whether you’re sitting in a room all day trying to write the perfect hook or leaving home on a bus for weeks at a time, it can be isolating and exhausting. This just felt like the right opportunity to make a bigger commitment on my part to supporting those folks and their families in a more direct and intentional way,” said Bentley.

“Dierks was one of the first artists to believe in and support Music Health Alliance, and from day one, he’s led with both heart and action,” said Tatum Allsep, Founder & CEO of Music Health Alliance. “Creating the Broken Branches Fund at MHA to support music’s mental health shows his deep commitment to the people who power our industry both on stage and off, and to their well-being for many years to come.”

Bentley will kick off his 30-city Broken Branches Tour on Thursday, May 29, joined by Zach Top and The Band Loula, ahead of his forthcoming 11th studio album, Broken Branches, out June 13 (MCA). As he leans into this new chapter, Bentley embraces the knots and imperfections that have shaped his journey, proudly honoring the outliers of both country life and country music. The upcoming album’s lead single “She Hates Me,” which features his “trademark humor” (Billboard) while blending elements of Whitley and Weezer, scored Bentley his career highest charting debut with its playful edge to Bentley’s signature country sound. He counts eight Number One albums, 22 Number One songs, and over 9.5 billion global streams to his credit—plus 15 Grammy nominations and membership in the historic Grand Ole Opry. Continuing the path built from the ground up, as an entrepreneur, he has four locations of the gastropub and live music venue “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row,” has a Flag & Anthem lifestyle collection "Desert Son” and recently released ROW 94 – a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey crafted with only “three ingredients and the truth” at Kentucky’s Green River Distilling Co. Kenny Chesney Wraps 1st Sphere Weekend: Grace Potter, Island Requests, Boys of Fall

For a man who can’t stay in one place very long, Kenny Chesney is creating an even deeper sense of what one of America’s best loved collection of songs means with each night of his residency at Sphere Las Vegas. Even with the high intensity visual media, the intensely dialed in sound and an intimacy afforded by the immersive venue configuration, what stands out more than anything is the unwavering connection between the high energy East Tennessee born artist and No Shoes Nation.

Early in the show on Sunday night, Chesney stood at his mic and confessed, “I rarely take requests, but there are some people here from the islands… and they said, ‘We’ve heard all the hits, now play us something from the heart.’ Regaling the capacity crowd with the story of how life becomes art, he went completely off-script to deliver a tender take on “Old Blue Chair,” the semi-title track from Be as You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair.

With people lining up to get into his Guitars, Tiki Bars & A Whole Lotta Love experience at 3:30 the first few mornings the free activation at the Venetian was open, the fervor for the songwriter/superstar set a bar for opening weekend that was palpable. After Kelsea Ballerini dropped in on opening night, Grace Potter arrived for the weekend and a sultry take on the double GRAMMY-nominated “You & Tequila.”

Dressed in thigh high vintage Ann Klein boots of many colors panels, she embodied the rock & roll spirit expected from the fiery roots songstress. “It’s not often our circles converge anymore,” Chesney says of the woman recently profiled in The New York Times, “because she has a life of her own, but when it does, it’s magical.”

Parade raved, “Country legend leaves fans speechless during ‘absolutely unreal’ show,” while ABC News called it “historic” and even Jambase proclaimed he “doubled down.” But it was USA Today who offered the deepest dive, headlining their review, “Kenny Chesney delivers vibrant, visually arresting feast at Sphere Las Vegas” – and calling the show “a technicolor wonder” and writing “It’s as much a concert as a sonic and visual roller-coaster ride pairing one of the most acclaimed stars of country with the evolving technological wizardry of the Sphere.”

Whether dedicating the power of girls who fearlessly dream rocker “Big Star” to two-time Academy of Country Music Lainey Wilson, who snuck in to see the show on a rare night off, or making an audible and playing “The Boys of Fall,” because Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell were in the house, each night’s shows are being tailored to the moment and the chemistry within.

“Having friends stop by, having friends get up on stage,” Chesney says, “this is about creating a whole new experience for No Shoes Nation. Something that could only happen here – a venue built around this groundbreaking technology – I’m so grateful so many members of No Shoes Nation were willing to travel to the desert to experience this with us. It’s strange in the best way: the intensity, the immersion, the way songs come to life almost literally.

“The animation with Kracker? The midway for ‘Til It’s Gone’? To literally be in a fish bowl? How could we not habe those experiences? But even more, hearing the audience sing that second chorus on ‘American Kids’ with such joy? You can tell their hitting another gear from the joy in their voices.”

The only country artist to be in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years, Chesney joins the very select handful of cultural icons and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees U2, (Grateful) Dead & Company and the Eagles, plus Phish to play the 17,600-seat spherical venue that deploys next-generation technologies.

Over a year in the making, Chesney and his team, along with experts from Sphere Studios’ advanced tech and creative teams, captured content. They’ve created and captured myriad worlds, from the University of Tennessee’s Volunteers rushing onto the field to underwater adventures, candy skulls, iconic moments, lighthouse entanglements, NASCAR cams and the rush of being onstage at a stadium show.

Drawing on songs never performed live, including the sweeping “One Lonely Island” and a mesmerizing “Seven Days,” the farflung show also creates an intimacy never before seen in Chesney’s massive stadium concerts. For all the fans of the man from Tennessee, this is Kenny Chesney as he’s known and loved, but also as he’s never been seen before.

Eric Church Brings “Evangeline vs. The Machine Live” to The Pinnacle for Two Nights Only

When Eric Church’s Evangeline vs. The Machine Live shows at The Pinnacle were announced in March, the superstar and CMA Entertainer of the Year winner told fans it would be a pair of performances like nothing they’d ever seen. The Church Choir quickly sold out the underplays at just 4,500-capacity-times-two before ever hearing the album that was released on May 2, 2025. And the anticipation was at its peak by showtime! With many showing up in “Eric Fucking Church” and “Concert for Carolina” merch, the Church Choir was ready.

As fans entered the venue, they were met by camera controllers and security in hazmat suits embroidered with Church’s Evangeline vs. The Machine album insignia “M” signifying the “Machine” before a 27-minute visual intro that appropriately included Pink Floyd’s “Welcome to the Machine,” played. The crowd erupted upon seeing his 6-piece band, 4-piece horns, 4-piece strings, 8-piece choir and vocalist Joanna Cotten entering the stage to “Run Like Hell” chanting “Chief, Chief” before the North Carolinian appeared up center stage.

Performing his eighth studio album front-to-back before transitioning into his catalog hits reimagined with this expanded musical collaboation – including “Desperate Man,” “Give Me Back My Hometown,” “Sinners Like Me,” “Mistress Named Music” and “Springsteen” among others – the two-hour set saw Church equally as ardent as the audience.

“We created a show that’s only gonna be seen for these two nights,” Church said on stage Saturday night. “My favorite times as a music fan is knowing I’m seeing something live. Not on YouTube, not on TikTok, but live, as I knew I’d never be in that moment ever again. And that is the power of music… and the genesis of these shows.”

Whether transitioning from Evangeline vs. The Machine’s album closer “Clap Hands” to “Desperate Man,” or citing the sax-solo on “Springsteen,” Whiskey Riff notes Church’s album release shows “showed off not only his country music street cred but also wove in the rock, blues and soul sounds that have influenced the man behind the sunglasses.”

The song is featured alongside current single “Hands Of Time” on his brand new album, Evangeline vs. The Machine, marking his first new music since 2021’s Heart & Soul triple album (“Stick That In Your Country Song,” “Hell Of A View”). That project followed prior releases including RIAA Gold-certified Desperate Man (“Some Of It,” “Desperate Man”), Platinum-certified Sinners Like Me (“How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me”), Carolina (“Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most”) and Mr. Misunderstood (“Record Year,” “Round Here Buzz”), Double-Platinum certified The Outsiders (“Like a Wrecking Ball,” “Talladega”) and 4x Platinum-certified Chief (“Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand”), as well as 32 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified songs. OUT FRIDAY FROM LA SUSPENDIDA

La Suspendida Live is set to arrive on May 30th, 2025. The recorded performance of the jazz metal opera at Le Forum (Vauréal, France) on November 16th, 2023, will be available in video form. This is in conjunction with the live tracks releasing on streaming platforms and physical formats via Excursus Production / Silent Pendulum Records. This production is not just a performance; it’s a collision of worlds—a blend of the raw power of metal, the precision of classical opera, and the adventurous spirit of experimental jazz.

Directed by David Unger, who described the shoot as, “The most mind-blowing shoot I’ve directed in recent years: the first Metal opera in history! (Filmed with 8 cameras, including a crane and a Ronin—let me tell you, it was a blast!)” La Suspendida Live captures a story and soundscape like no other.

The vision was brought to life by Laurent David, bassist and producer, who led his experimental jazz trio KILTER to collaborate with an incredible array of artists. On stage, you’ll witness operatic soprano Andromeda Anarchia, the Montreal-based GROWLERS CHOIR (whose guttural metal vocals hit like the roar of an ancient beast), and the string quartet SEVEN)SUNS. Visual artistry and storytelling intertwine, thanks to stage direction by Jacques David, illustrations by Julie Castro-Grohowki, and a libretto penned by Metropolitan Opera’s William Berger. The entire production pulses with a light show designed by Mathieu Derothe-Renaud that feels like a living heartbeat for the story.

The live release of La Suspendida is more than a performance—it’s an exploration of boundaries, both artistic and existential. Capturing this moment was about bringing the energy of metal, the depth of opera, and the power of storytelling to life in a way that resonates deeply with audiences. It’s a celebration of what happens when genres collide and transform together on stage.

Danish Musical Virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE Unveils New Single "Helldivers Anthem" + Lyric Video

Danish musical virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE shares his new single “Helldivers Anthem,” taken from the upcoming studio album 'Electric Dreams,' set for release on June 27th via Frontiers Music Srl. The new single is accompanied by a lyric video, available to view below.

Talking about the new single, NICKLAS SONNE commented:

“From one gamer to another - this is my tribute to the Helldivers. Loud riffs, big explosions, and just the right amount of sarcasm. Freedom never sleeps - and neither do we”.

Describing the album, SONNE added:

“This record is a deeply personal journey back to where it all began for me - to the raw energy and spirit of my earliest musical inspirations. It blends the soul of old school hard rock with the punch and clarity of a modern production, creating a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and new."

Watch the Lyric Video for “Helldivers Anthem"

NICKLAS SONNE is a Danish musician, vocalist, guitarist, and producer known for his powerful presence in progressive and heavy metal. He began his musical journey as a drummer before moving on to guitar and ultimately becoming a singer-songwriter in a variety of metal and hard rock projects—starting with Defecto, one of Denmark’s leading metal bands, formed in 2010.

In addition to Defecto, NICKLAS is part of Aries Descendant alongside Jonah Weingarten(Pyramaze, Catalyst Crime). The dynamic duo released their debut album via Frontiers Music Srl on October 18th, 2024. It’s a groundbreaking project that seamlessly fuses the evocative allure of film music with the raw power of heavy metal, creating an auditory experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.

A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, NICKLAS honed his skills by playing along to Metallica and Dream Theater, later diving into songwriting and production. His talent quickly gained industry attention, leading to collaborations with renowned producers Jan Langhoff(Aqua) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica). This pivotal period helped shape his signature sound—progressive metal infused with orchestral and choral elements.

Other bands SONNE has been involved with include Evil Masquerade, Theory, Hank Shermann, One Machine, Waving Memories, Section A, Metallica Jam, Wasted, and Omvendt Korstog. His long career has included international tours in countries such as Japan and support slots for metal heavyweights like Metallica and Rammstein.

With a relentless work ethic and a passion for musical innovation, NICKLAS SONNE continues to push the boundaries of modern metal, cementing his reputation as one of the most dynamic artists in the genre today. His solo album is a collection of songs that showcases the immense talent of this artist—who also handled production duties himself.

Charlie Nieland Unleashes 'Redshift': A Prog-Infused Dreamrock Odyssey previewing new EP

NYC producer indie music veteran Charlie Nieland presents 'Redshift', a welcome dream-pop track that delves into the profound experience of creating your own chosen family, viewed through the lens of cosmic expansion and astrophysical wonder. This is the second taste of his forthcoming 'The Ocean Understands' EP (out June 20).

Nieland’s musical backstory is extensive, having played dream pop with Her Vanished Grace for over 20 years before establishing himself as a solo artist with a mix of nuanced songwriting and sonic exploration, initially releasing 'Ice Age' (2014) and 'Hopeful Monsters' (2016). He is currently half of the literature-inspired songwriting and performing duo Lusterlit with Susan Hwang and produces and participates in the podcast 'An Embarrassment of Prog'

Along the way, Charlie wrote and produced material with such notable artists as Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Dead Leaf Echo, Blondie and Scissor Sisters. He scored the feature film 'The Safety of Objects' (starring Glenn Close), the pilot episode of 'The L Word' on Showtime and the VH-1documentary 'NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell'. Charlie was awarded a Gold record (UK) for his production work on Blondie's 'Greatest Hits Sight & Sound' and achieved a Top 10 Billboard Dance Chart Position with Debbie Harry's single 'Two Times Blue', which he co-wrote and produced.

"Redshift is a slice of dream pop about growing up - as viewed from space. The book STRAY, by Tanya Marquardt, got me thinking about how we choose new families when we're alienated from our birth ones. This coincided with another thing I was reading about Steven Hawking and astrophysics. The song became a little field guide on how to put your own story into a cosmic context," says Charlie Nieland.

"There's an eerie freedom to embracing life when the universe is pulling apart. While in lockdown, I’d made up a modal exercise for the guitar and it was a perfect shimmering fit for this, with Billy Loose’s symphonic drums bringing it all down to earth. More gorgeous art and video clips by Hypnodoll™.

It's been four years since Nieland released his acclaimed ‘Divisions’ album with its sweeping melodies and restless rhythms. Tastefully blending post punk, dream pop and prog rock, he has been writing, playing and producing music for decades, focused on the atmospheric and the imaginative.

Earlier, Charlie Nieland released the stunning reverb-laced lead track, 'Drown', the video for which was directed by multi-faceted artist Hypnodoll. Inspired by a dystopian vision, this mythical, psychedelic siren song celebrates destruction, exploring a dark, authoritarian past through the jumbled stories of the future. Sifting through present wreckage, 'Drown' searches for grace amidst violent, oceanic forces.

Charlie Nieland says, "With its mind-melting imagery, the video for 'Drown', created by NYC multimedia artist Hypnodoll, is beautiful and deranged. She conjures storytelling just out or rational reach, playing tag with the ancient and futuristic in a way that perfectly compliments the song. Collaborating with her is such a thrill".

As of May 27, 'RedShift' is available from fine digital music platforms, including Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp. 'The Ocean Understands' EP, now available for pre-order directly from the artist, will be released on June 20.

ASKA Release the Lyric Video for the Track "From Out Of The Sky"

BraveWords Records is pleased to announce that ASKA have released a video for the track "From Out of the Sky", taken from their latest album "Knight Strike".

Stream of Purchase "Knight Strike": https://smarturl.it/aska

Watch the video below:

"From Out of the Sky" is a followup song ASKA wrote on one of their favorite topics - Extraterrestrial Alien Invasion.

George Call, from ASKA, "We love Science Fiction as much as we love writing about medieval fantasy and such. On our previous album, "Fire Eater", we had a brief soundscape called "The Last Message". It was a final message left on a beacon in space from a now extinct civilization where our world had once been. This message had been playing in space for practically an eternity before our listeners stumble upon it and hear the tale of humanity's demise. "FOotS" kind of picks up, extrapolates and delves deeper. I think we see it as a kind of sequel of sorts.  Questions are asked; Are they friend or foe? Will you run or will you stand and fight?

As "TLM" was put together by ASKA bassist, Keith Knight, and he was the principal songwriter on "FOotS", we felt it appropriate that he should take the lead vocals on this one. I thought it would be a great surprise for our fans as it's the first time Keith has sang lead vocal on an ASKA song  since our 3rd album, "Nine Tongues"."

Catch ASKA live with BraveWords Records labelmates, Lillian Axe on August 17th at Reno's in (Deep Ellum) Dallas.

About ASKA:
ASKA, Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas-based, long-running heavy metal band has, as the title they gave their 3rd international tour can attest, "been there, done that". And how! In 1992, just a short year after the release of the group's self-titled debut album, they began touring the world performing at military bases, embassies and satellite installations around the globe for the U.S. Dept. of Defense/USO entertainment services. For nine years the group maintained a steady course, playing for U.S & foreign military troops in well over 56 countries and territories globally before turning their focus to the civilian world. There, they promptly played festivals around America and Europe and furthered their exposure in no small way. From inception to present, ASKA released seven full length albums on both national and international labels.

During the process, ASKA's triple-threat frontman/vocalist/guitarist, George Call, came to the attention of cult, US underground metal pioneers, Omen, where he was promptly recruited to take over the lead vocalist slot for three years while still maintaining his role in ASKA. When that association dissolved, George was immediately snatched up by former Atlantic Records/Metal Blade, Midwestern, MTV veterans, Banshee, where he's been front and center on the band's two newest top notch releases. While helming both bands after a fateful meeting at a festival performance with ASKA in Germany, Call, was further enlisted to join U.K. legendary, cult NWOBHM band, Cloven Hoof, where he proceeded to record and release three critically acclaimed, fan-favorite albums. ASKA drummer Danny White joined George on two of these endeavors while the band's long-serving bassist/vocalist, Keith Knight, engineered and recorded a high percentage of George's extra-curricular activity at his Knight Recording Studios, keeping the three working together even when it was outside of the band.

GWAR's 40th Anniversary Celebration continues this summer with 'The Return of Gor Gor,' the new multimedia release due out on July 25th!

'The Return of Gor Gor' includes three brand-new studio tracks—mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge)—plus four blistering live recordings from 2024, mixed by Chris Ronan Murphy. The release comes bundled with a 32-page full-color comic, resurrecting the legendary monster Gor Gor in an over-the-top visual bloodbath.

Blothar comments on 'The Return of Gor Gor':

"The last time I saw Gor Gor he was just a wee fart dragon. He had crawled on the hood of my Kia Soul and was holding on for dear life while I drove to the store to buy Clamato. I bathed him in wiper fluid and used my wipers to knock him off my sweet ride. Next thing I know, he’s a 20-foot tall trans-species prostitute working a pickle park. Apparently, he’s all grown up and looking for revenge. This record chronicles his struggles as a young Dino-American trying to make his way in a cruel world."
