WATCH the Official Music Video for "Among the Crowd" Below:
Witches Ride is a dark groove machine—part Southern-fried chaos, part industrial ritual. Fusing the bone-crushing swagger of Clutch with the sinister theatrics of Marilyn Manson, this band rides the line between dirty rock ‘n’ roll and occult-fueled spectacle. Think smoke, sweat, and distortion—wrapped in velvet and barbed wire.
Driven by thunderous riffs, hypnotic rhythms, and snarling vocals, Witches Ridebrings a unique alchemy to the stage. With the keys casting eerie atmospheres and haunted textures, the sound is as cinematic as it is feral—blues-born, hell-bound, and soaked in gasoline.
Every show is a ceremony. Every song is a spell. And once you’re under, there’s no turning back.
Welcome to Witches Ride.

About KALAMITY KILLS
KALAMITY KILLS is a hard rock band forged in the heart of East Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 2022 by vocalist Jamie Rowe and guitarist/producer Jamey Perrenot, the band emerged from the ashes of a solo project into a fully realized sonic assault—fueled by raw emotion, modern aggression, and a deep respect for rock’s roots. With a sound that fuses the swagger of classic hard rock with the intensity and polish of modern metal, KALAMITY KILLS strikes a rare balance between power and vulnerability.
Best known for their debut self-titled album Kalamity Kills, the band quickly turned heads thanks to high-profile collaborations with members of KORN, 3 DOORS DOWN, LA GUNS, CONQUER DIVIDE, and UNDEROATH. Their music has earned national airplay on SIRIUSXM’s Octane, landed on the Billboard Active Rock charts, and crossed over into viral success without ever chasing trends.
More than just a studio project, KALAMITY KILLS is a growing force with a full live lineup, including bassist/vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock and drummer Rob Bodley. Their songs—ranging from explosive anthems to brutally honest ballads—tackle themes of faith, failure, hypocrisy, redemption, and the messy beauty of being human.

RONNIE ROMERO Releases New Album ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival’ — Out Now via Frontiers Music Srl
Legendary singer RONNIE ROMERO is thrilled to announce the release of his new album, ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival,’ which is out now via Frontiers Music Srl. In addition, ROMERO also shares a fresh track from the album titled "Crossroad." The focus track is accompanied by an official live video, available below.
'Live At Rock Imperium Festival' sees ROMERO delivering an impressive musical performance in front of a huge, passionate audience, in one of the biggest European festivals, the Spanish Rock Imperium Festival, including songs from the first solo and some other highlights like the Dio cover “Rainbow In The Dark."
RONNIE ROMERO comments on the focus:
“A very special and unexpected song we added to the album back in 2023, we were missing a track, and Jose Rubio came with this bluesy riff, so the songwriting was totally improvised! Anyway, this song became a fav for the audience in the shows!!”
Watch the Official Live Video for “Crossroad” Below:
The tracklist for 'Live At Rock Imperium Festival' is mostly based on RONNIE’s latest solo album 'Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters,' which marks the first time that ROMERO has been involved with 100% of the songwriting on an album he sings on.
ROMERO also co-produced the album with Andy C., marking another first for ROMERO. While these 'firsts” certainly add to the excitement for the album, it is the songs that truly take center stage. ROMERO's voice is completely at home on this diverse, hard rockin' set which is certainly going to please any fan of his vocal style and his work with his other bands.
Commenting on 'Live At Rock Imperium Festival', ROMERO states:
“I really wanted to have a live album out, to show everybody how much I enjoy playing music and the capabilities of the musicians I have by my side! It is also a step forward in my solo career. And no better place than my beloved Rock Imperium Festival in Spain! Thanks a lot to Frontiers Music, Manu Giménez, Andy C, and my band for making this possible! I hope that everyone will enjoy this performance!”
ROMERO's voice and prolific musical activity have brought him to the forefront of the hard rock/metal scene where he can be seen/heard with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, The Michael Schenker Group, Lords of Black, The Ferrymen, Sunstorm, and the recently launched Elegant Weapons with Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner. With an impressive discography already under his belt, 'Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters' is arguably the crown jewel of ROMERO's recorded output thus far.
'Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters' follows ROMERO's first two solo albums, both cover albums. 2023's 'Raised On Heavy Radio' saw ROMERO paying tribute to legendary artists from the metal world like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Metallica, and more. It also featured special guests like Gus G. (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Spirits of Fire), Roland Grapow (Masterplan, Helloween), and more.
ROMERO's first solo album, 'Raised On Radio', featured covers of classics that meant something special to ROMERO over the years and helped forge this talented singer's musical style. Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more were given ROMERO's talented vocal treatment.
Line Up:
Ronnie Romero - Vocals
Jose Rubio - Guitars
Fran Gil Torres - Keyboards
Andy C. - Drums
Aurelian Dinca - Bass Guitar/Vocals
Kenny Chesney Gets His SPHERE On, No Shoes Nation Finds A New Dimension
They came in rhinestones, flip-flops, grass skirts, stilettos, Bermuda shorts, cowboy boots, Hawaiian shirts and a couple Low Key Bob Fan Club tees. Whatever the look, they all had the same mission: to see where Kenny Chesney was taking No Shoes Nation with his 2025 Vegas Sphere residency, his only live appearances this year.
Triumphantly taking the stage after a far-reaching DJ set by Brandi Cyrus, the East Tennessean kicked off with the longstanding classic “Beer In Mexico” as sugar skulls rained down and animated skulls danced and drank long neck cervezas from Sphere’s wraparound video wall. Between the rush of the band, the intensity of the visuals and the anticipation in the house, the energy onstage and in the room was palpable. But even more, the anticipation of the fans who’d been in line for several hours was met with an integrated experience of sonics, visuals, musicians and heart that met that built-up excitement straight on.
Whether it was the technicolor immersion of cell phones in an aquatic tank in “Welcome to the Fish Bowl,” a song Chesney wrote 15 years ago to take on the invasiveness of social media, the multi-dimensional midway carnival of “Til It’s Gone” or the almost overwhelming swirl of tiles featuring images from the “Noise” video, Chesney and the Revival met the moment – and the increased production values – with a real passion that saw an audience dancing and clapping with stadium-sized abandon.
“It’s overwhelming a little,” Chesney says, “beyond the visuals, which build and move, the fans are so close – even in the 400 section – that you’re consumed by all of it when you look up. But it makes you feel so alive to have everyone right there, rocking, singing and almost beyond being in the moment.”
When Kelsea Ballerini appeared on top of a small riser in a mirror sequined mini dress and high ponytail, it was clear this will be a residence of real surprises. Reaching out to his friend and “half of my hometown” partner, the pair blazed through an unplanned “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” as well as their No. 1 duet and Ballerini sitting in for Grace Potter on “You & Tequila.”
“We have the ability to add things in, change it up,” the artist who’s done surprise college bar tours, beach takeovers on the Alabama/Florida line, two dozen major stadiums a summer and three consecutive nights at Foxborough, Mass.’s Gillette Stadium says of the flexibility. “Even with this 4-D production, we can keep the spontaneity and in the moment magic that have made our shows a revival and right of summer for the last twenty years.”
The only country artist to be in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years, Chesney joins the very select handful of cultural icons and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees U2, (Grateful) Dead & Company and the Eagles, plus Phish for four very singular concerts to play the 17,600-seat spherical venue deploys next-generation technologies. The world’s highest resolution LED display wraps up, over and around the audience, creating a fully immersive visual environment.
Over a year in the making, Chesney and his team, along with experts from Sphere Studios’ advanced tech and creative teams, captured content, as well deployed cutting-edge animation techniques, to create a whole new experience in how the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar’s music is experienced. It all came together last night in Las Vegas where the crowd roared with delight, took over “American Kids” and “Anything But Mine” with a fervor that matched the largest stadium shows.
Drawing on songs never performed live, including the sweeping “One Lonely Island” and a mesmerizing “Seven Days,” the songs also took on an intimacy to match the moment. For everyone who’d traveled to the Nevada desert for the first time ever, not only were their expectations more than met, the window to what’s possible over the next several weeks has been opened. Get ready.
“We knew as we rehearsed in Sphere the last couple days this was going to be intense,” Chesney explains. “But nothing can prepare you for seeing No Shoes Nation flying through the underwater landscapes, coming over the top of pirate ships and being dropped into a pin ball machine. The looks of joy, awe and total wow on their faces did all of our hearts good.
“I can’t believe we have to wait until Saturday night to do it all over again.”
Limited tickets remain for the Sphere residency at KennyChesney.com with packages available via Vibee, the official VIP Concert & Hotel Package partner for Kenny Chesney’s Live at Sphere residency, at KennyChesney.Vibee.com. Ryan Woods Shares New Single "Good Swim"
FEARLESS RECORDS artist Ryan Woods has shared the new single "Good Swim."
Watch the lyric video below.
"I actually wrote 'Good Swim' for a family member's wedding," Woods shares. "It started off as a poem, and though I had never experienced love enough to get married, it was inspired by an idyllic version of it. I asked myself, 'If I were so in love with somebody that I would marry them, what would that feel like?' I think it would feel like a 'good swim' on a hot summer day. Refreshing, relaxing, and rejuvenating. Like a vacation from life itself. A safe place to unwind and not think about the world, and simply rejoice in the love that we have for each other. A place where fear has little power, and the courage to dive into it is celebrated and rewarded."
Woods finishes, "Love is complex and far from easy, but so is swimming. It gets easier the more you do it. You grow stronger and faster, and once you learn how to swim, it's very difficult to drown."
Indeed, "Good Swim" is your feel good hit of your summer. Kicking off with a lilting and dreamy piano melody, the kind that makes you wake up with a smile only our face, it slowly builds to a pretty, mid-tempo, bedroom-y pop jam. Woods is an old soul with a thoroughly modern lean — he's essentially a Gen Z troubadour! The song's '70s inspired melodies and his delightfully saccharine voice are ALL the serotonin boosters you need.
Woods previously shared "Full Speed Ahead."
The singer will also play a show at The Echo in Los Angeles on July 30, with Jack Newsome. Get tickets here.
ABOUT RYAN WOODS:
After one listen, it would be easy to assume Ryan Woods fell from the heavens and landed smack dab in the middle of modern pop music and culture. He defies genres and eras with an otherworldly je ne sais quoi. Flaunting a sky-high range and head-turning fashion sense, Woods exudes a swaggering gusto befitting of your favorite '70s rock star, yet he opens up with a level of candor decidedly intrinsic to Gen Z. Musically, he laces D.I.Y. pop with psychedelic experimentation and existential ruminations that are both provocative and catchy. Initially, he gained traction with covers on social media, even inciting a retweet from Shawn Mendes. Woods has cultivated his signature style by logging countless hours in both Nashville and Los Angeles sessions. "Bad Texter" was a breakthrough moment in 2021 — reeling in over 28 million Spotify streams and counting, it paved the way for his King of the Basement EP. Of the latter, Thomas Bleach raved, "This EP highlights that growth and introspective manner that has made him an artist you need to keep an eye on," while INTERSECT Magazine applauded, "Woods' lyrics are poetic, witty, and most of all, authentic." Now partnered with Fearless, Woods is ready to bring his dreamy compositions, which are so much more than bedroom pop, to an even wider audience.
The Band Light Unveils Hypnotic New Song "Dreamboat" Out Now via Red Van Records
Pop-rock group The Band Light returns with their infectious new song “Dreamboat,” released today on Red Van Records. Written by band members Konnor Dolberry and Trevor Young, and produced by multi-platinum hitmaker John Fields (Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Demi Lovato), the track captures the messy magic of infatuation with lyrical bite and sonic sparkle. Listen below.
Fronted by Konnor Dolberry (lead vocals), alongside Jack Glenn (bass/vocals), Garrett Goodrich (lead guitar/vocals) and Trevor Young (drums/vocals), The Band Light formed through a high school music production class and quickly found undeniable chemistry both on and off the stage. Since then, they’ve built a dedicated fanbase and amassed over one million streams across platforms.
Built around a hypnotic groove and late-night confessions, “Dreamboat” captures the messy thrill of desire and emotional chaos. With lines like “So call me up / When we’re both drunk / And fill my cup / I’m all stirred up,” the song mixes raw vulnerability with tongue-in-cheek charm – an intoxicating cocktail of heartache and hookiness. Dolberry and Young blend their lyrical edge with crisp, shimmering production, giving “Dreamboat” a sound both familiar and new.
“‘Dreamboat’ lives in that blurry space between bad decisions and irresistible connection,” the band shares. “It’s equal parts moody and playful – something we think a lot of people can relate to.”
Fans can catch The Band Light live this summer at Musicians Corner in Nashville’s Centennial Park on June 13, joining a season lineup that includes Brittney Spencer, Noah Gundersen, Sixpence None The Richer and more. The group will also perform as special guests for Switchfoot on July 13 at the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater in Illinois.
With “Dreamboat,” The Band Light continues to carve a distinct lane in the pop-rock landscape with infectious energy, sharp musicianship and irresistible charm.
MÈLANCOLIA - ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'RANDOM.ACCESS.MISERY' + SHARE DARK NEW SINGLE 'ALL_IS_RUST'
Melbourne blackened nu-metal outfit MÉLANCOLIA announce their sophomore album random.access.misery will be available Friday August 29 via Nuclear Blast and Greyscale Records. The band share scathing new single 'ALL_IS_RUST' as a vicious taste of what's to come.
'ALL_IS_RUST' serves as both a declaration of evolution and a warning: MÉLANCOLIA are not here to follow trends—they’re here to dismantle them. The new single is the introduction to MÉLANCOLIA’s forthcoming album, blending metalcore, deathcore, industrial noise, blast beats and DJ scratching into a hellish sonic cocktail. The song welcomes listeners to their new sound and a genre the band have coined as “Blackened Nu Metal”.
'ALL_IS_RUST' marries the sound, aesthetic and visuals from their debut album,'HissThroughRottenTeeth', into one cohesive package; "While there has been a departure from straight up deathcore, we feel this song sounds even more representative of MÉLANCOLIA," says vocalist Alex Hill. "And after testing the waters debuting this song in Europe earlier this year we can confirm this one is already a crowd favourite."

Picked as one of four "brilliant new metal bands you need to hear" by Metal Hammer in April, the band are primed and ready and unleash their defining new album this August; "We are bringing a fresh sound to an otherwise stale scene, you will not hear what we are doing from anyone else. We are setting the trend as we set the bar for modern heavy music. Love us or hate us, you will fucking remember us."

In a world where everyone knows everything, Dragged Into Sunlight evoke intrigue and mystery.
Since 2006, Dragged Into Sunlight have built a reputation for their dark, atmospheric, and often disturbing sound, combining heavy, pulverising riffs with raw, abrasive vocals and intricate arrangements. The collective explore themes of violence, despair, and the macabre, blending the extremity of black metal's dissonance with the weighty, oppressive spirit of doom. Their compositions are best characterised by a relentless, chaotic atmosphere, often eschewing traditional death metal song structures in favour of long, immersive tracks that defy genre standards.
Dragged Into Sunlight’s sonic warfare is accompanied by an equally obscure and mystifying live performance, delivering striking, minimalist visual aesthetics in the cover of darkness. The band’s enigmatic and ritualistic approach to their stage presence further enhances their dynamic sound.

On the new album, Skin confesses:

About SKUNK ANANSIE:
SKUNK ANANSIE formed in 1994 in London, and are a truly seminal band. One of the first multi-racial British rock bands, they are known for their powerful sound and thought-provoking lyrics. Fronted by the charismatic and dynamic vocalist Skin, the band blends alternative rock with elements of punk and metal. They remain one of the most important and influential bands of their era.
Their debut album ‘Paranoid & Sunburnt’ (1995) and its follow up ‘Stoosh’ (1996) both hit the Top 10 album chart in the UK, and with hits like “Weak” and “Hedonism,” they established themselves on the international stage, helped by their stunning live performances. In 1999, SKUNK ANANSIE closed the decade off in style by releasing their third studio album, ‘Post Orgasmic Chill’ and headlining Glastonbury Festival, before surprisingly going on a lengthy hiatus in 2001.
The band reconvened in 2008 to embark on the second chapter of their career, releasing three acclaimed albums - 2010’s ‘Wonderlustre,’ 2012’s ‘Black Traffic’ and 2016’s ‘Anarchytecture.’ In 2019, the band marked their 25th anniversary with ‘25LIVE@25,’ a live album that brings together the greatest songs from their six studio albums.
Throughout their career, SKUNK ANANSIE have sold over five million records around the world. The band’s international prominence continues to thrive today, selling out live arenas and headlining festivals across the continent, and now with ‘The Painful Truth’ receiving rave reviews around the world, SKUNK ANANSIE are back at the peak of their powers.
ONSLAUGHT - History-Packed 2CD/LP 'Origins Of Aggression' Out Now; Video For "Thermonuclear Devastation Of The Planet Earth [2025 Version]" Launched
English thrash metal legends ONSLAUGHT return in full force with their blistering new release, Origins Of Aggression, out now via Reigning Phoenix Music. Leading the charge is the newly recorded version of "Thermonuclear Devastation Of The Planet Earth" - a scorched-earth anthem packed with apocalyptic riffage. First appearing on the band’s debut album Power From Hell, released in 1985, the track has been re-recorded for Origins Of Aggression to mark the 40th anniversary of ONSLAUGHT’s explosive entry into the metal scene. Four decades later, its message feels just as urgent and relevant as it did back then - if not more so.
Watch the new lyric video below:
Nige Rockett comments: “‘Thermo...’ is the very first song myself and Paul Hill ever wrote for ONSLAUGHT when we formed the band in 1982 and it’s still a very important / integral part of the live show right up to this day as it never fails to induce complete chaos within the crowds. One real highlight I remember was performing it at the Katacombes [R.I.P.] venue in Montreal, Canada. I kid you not, every single person in the venue turned the place into one awesome/brutal circle pit, it was absolutely insane. We still get one massive buzz playing this song live, it has such an incredible energy and a very cool back story to go with it…!”
Origins Of Aggression is a 22-track double album that dives deep into ONSLAUGHT’s history, delivering fierce new takes on early classics alongside covers of key influences such as MOTÖRHEAD, DEAD KENNEDYS, and DISCHARGE. To support the release, ONSLAUGHT will hit the road again next week as part of a global tour, with confirmed dates across Europe, the UK, Mexico, and Australia.

Jamey Johnson Marries Brittney Eakins in Franklin, Tenn. on May 20
Award-winning country singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson married attorney Brittney Eakins on Tuesday, May 20, before 350 friends and family at the lush 160-acre Graystone Quarry in Williamson County. Read the PEOPLE feature here.
“Life has come full circle,” Brittney says. “Jamey has a sentimental attachment to the quarry. I let him decide the location of our wedding and that’s where he wanted to go.”
The Graystone Quarry was originally used as the limestone source for Interstate 65 from Columbia, Tenn. to Nashville, Tenn., which is the same road Jamey followed from Alabama to Nashville to pursue his dreams of a career in country music.
About a year after Jamey moved to Nashville, he worked for a company that pumped out rock quarries and mines so workers could return to work after a rain. “Around 2000-02, I took a pump out to that quarry one day,” he says.
In 2016, the quarry reopened as an entertainment venue that featured the FirstBank Amphitheater, where Jamey has performed several times.
Jamey thanked Nancy Jones, the widow of late country legend George Jones, for suggesting the quarry as a wedding venue. “Before I talked to her, I didn't even know they did weddings there. It didn’t cross my mind as a wedding venue.”
The wedding was officiated by country singer-songwriter Randy Houser, who is a member of the Traler Park, a group of friends that also includes Jamey, Lee Brice, Dallas Davidson, Rob Hatch and Jerrod Niemann. They have remained friends since their early days of performing on Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway, driven by their shared dreams of a career in music. In addition to the Traler Park members, Blake “Wally” Harris, a friend since college, was also a groomsman.
Perhaps ironically, Jamey determined that a rock singer would be the best behaved at the wedding. “For best man, I went with Jeremy Popoff (of the rock band Lit), but only because I figured he would be the least one likely to do something purposely to disrupt the ceremony.”
Brittney’s maid-of-honor was her youngest sister, Whittney Eakins, and her matron of honor was her middle sister, Tiffany Arcement, who is nine months pregnant. Brittney says, “That just goes to show you how my family is truly the best. My sisters have shown up for me in a huge way. She is due any day and still came to Nashville to stand by my side. We had to find her an emergency delivery doctor in Nashville just in case she went into labor.”
Brittney found her wedding dress at Natasha Marie Bridal in Baton Rouge, La., and had custom work, including a detachable skirt, completed in Nashville by Nina E Designs, who also works with country singer Megan Moroney.
The dress code was “cowboy black tie. “It’s a nod to our Nashville friends and to let them know they could wear their hats and boots,” Brittney says.
Jamey says, “It was a way to tell all of my friends who can’t be told what to do or when to do it, ‘This is an idea of what you could wear. Put on the stuff you wear when you want to wear something nice.’” Jamey himself wore Tecovas Boots.
The first dance was to “Look at You Girl,” which was recorded by late country singer Chris LeDoux and performed by ERNEST at the wedding. “That is what I sang at Ira Dean’s wedding,” says Jamey. “Anytime I sing at a wedding, I ask if I can sing that song, and it is always the one the brides land on.” The band Party on the Moon also performed.
Wedding guests included Oliver Anthony, award-winning songwriter Dean Dillon, Colt Ford, Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Kassi Ashton, Zac Brown and jewelry designer Kendra Scott, members of the band Chapel Hart, ERNEST, Randy Houser, Larry Fleet, Gary Allan, Nancy Jones, window of the late George Jones, Marcus King, Multi-ACM Award winner Ella Langley, songwriter and producer Mac McAnally, Grammy Award winner Lukas Nelson, James Otto, Jeremy Popoff, multi-genre artist Kid Rock, Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy and Mary Travis, comedian Ron White and Luke Grimes of Yellowstone.
The wedding was planned and catered by The Cutting Board of Milton, Fla. There was a heavy seafood presence, including a recipe called the Seafood Sensation, which is a Cajun cream-style sauce with six different types of seafood sautéed in a pan. (The seasoning recipe is patented by the caterer.)
The cocktail hour featured a station called Johnson Sliders with three different types of sliders, including a bacon/swiss with maple onion jam, Nashville hot chicken (in honor of Jamey’s city of residence) and a muffaletta (in honor of Brittney’s home state). The couple featured John Schneider’s Revenuer’s Reserve moonshine in a blackberry moonshine margarita and a blackberry Tennessee burnt-end skewer. Jamey’s signature cocktail was a non-alcoholic margarita and Brittney’s signature cocktail was a Hand Grenade, which pays homage to New Orleans and includes vodka, rum, gin and a melon liqueur. The bar service was courtesy The Thirsty Ranch of Milton, Fla.
The traditional wedding cake was an almond flavor with a raspberry filling and showcased the same lace pattern that was on the bride’s dress. “The groom’s cake is his favorite cake flavor, carrot cake,” Brittney says. “I was more excited about the groom’s cake than the bridal cake.”
The groom's cake was a surprise for Jamey – a full-scale replica of his beloved guitar, Ole Maple, with every detail, including the autographs from other artists on the front.
The cakes were made by Iris Smith of Cakes by Iris in Mississippi, who is a nationally known cake maker. “She has made us a few cakes already,” Jamey says.
Brittney says, “She was the first vendor we chose for this wedding two years ago. We ran into her at Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves’ second inauguration. Jamey asked her on the spot if she would do the wedding cake.”
The theme of the wedding was southern elegance with a white color palate. The florals and decor were by Fresh Cut of Flowood, Miss.
Guests had the option to sign a traditional guest book as well as a custom-made guitar. The guitar was an idea and a surprise from the wedding planner.
The bride was born in Slidell, La., and raised in nearby Kiln. She earned a law degree from the University of Mississippi and was a law clerk at the State Supreme Court in January 2019, when she met Jamey at Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves’ inauguration. Jamey was so smitten that he proposed the next day in front of Walker’s Restaurant. He said, “How about we skip the dating? Let’s go ahead and get married and have some kids and we’ll talk about a date after that.”
“I couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not,” shares Brittney. “He didn’t laugh. He looked at me and said, ‘You have no idea how long I have been looking for you.’”
She politely declined and said, “How about we go on a date first?”
For four years, they had a long-distance relationship, seeing each other as much as possible around her work schedule and his touring schedule. Jamey, a licensed pilot who lives in Nashville, made frequent flights to Jackson, Miss.
On March 1, 2023, Jamey proposed on the deck/patio of the Walter Sillers building in Jackson, where she was working for Attorney General Lynn Fitch. When she returned to her office, she was surprised to see him standing there. “He asked me to take a walk with him, so I did. I don’t remember our conversation, but I remember we were right across the street from where we met. He got down on one knee and proposed. I guess I said yes this time!”
Concerns about the weather grew as forecasts predicted severe thunderstorms on their wedding day. Indeed, moments after the couple were proclaimed husband and wife, the rain turned into a major storm, complete with baseball-sized hail. Fortunately, the heaviest part of the storm was short-lived and everyone was able to walk to the reception area and enjoy the rest of the evening.
"A lot of people say that a little rain on wedding day is good luck, but not many people can say that they got married during a tornado and hail storm," Brittney jokes.
The Johnsons depart for an island honeymoon on Thursday, where they will hopefully have nothing but sunny days ahead.
"The best thing about our wedding is that it has brought together so many people we love. Watching our friends meet and become friends has been the best experience for us," Brittney says.

KATAKLYSM | RELEASE VIDEO VISUALIZER FOR NEW SINGLE 'THE RABBIT HOLE'
For almost three decades, the US/French Canadian-based melodic death metal syndicate KATAKLYSM, has delivered unapologetic waves of powerful sound across the entire globe. Today, the band offer fans a new track entitled, 'The Rabbit Hole'.
With a brutal honesty and relentless force, it rips through the illusion of control and dares listeners to wake up, fight back, and resist. A soundtrack for the disillusioned—unapologetic and unrelenting. The song features Clemens Wijers (CARACH ANGREN) who curated the tracks ambient sound effects and synth section.
KATAKLYSM'S Maurizio Iacono states, "'The Rabbit hole' is the bands first stand alone single since the bands classic 'Iron will' track. As the world spins out of control and people search for purpose and truth, we felt questioning these things is something important to do, theres a lot of noise and lots of distortion these days, but always trust your gut and what is right vs what is forced fed, so why not put these thoughts to music, so while we wait for the next record, we decided to drop this heavy hitter, spread it an enjoy!"
The single was recorded earlier this year at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX and Studio City, CA as well as The Cabinin Orlando, FL and Silver Black Studio, Laval, QC, Canada. 'The Rabbit Hole' was produced, mixed, and mastered by the band's very own J-F Dagenais.

featuring live performance footage on her YouTube channel, this release marks a defining moment for the young artist fearlessly leading the revival of rock music.

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST To Release 9th Studio Album, 'Darkness Invisible,' Through PERCEPTION
Finnish melodic death stalwarts MORS PRINCIPIUM EST announce their long-awaited ninth studio album, Darkness Invisible. Officially signed to PERCEPTION, the latest imprint of Reigning Phoenix Music, the band will once again embrace listeners with razor-sharp riffing, sweeping orchestration, melancholic harmonies, and relentless rhythmic precision - topped by Ville Viljanen’s unmistakable vocals.
Viljanen comments: “Joining PERCEPTION marks a powerful new chapter for us. We’re proud to be part of a label family that houses so many legendary titans. With their support, we’re ready to unleash our most furious, blistering and ambitious work yet. The future burns bright, shrouded in “Darkness Invisible.””
“Throughout their career, MORS PRINCIPIUM EST have kept impressing me and the rest of the metal world with solid melodic death of the faster kind. Although they’ve never been the most active live band, they succeed in growing their following with each of their releases what underlines the masterfulness of their craft additionally...and in this case, ‘[Of] Death’ is really just the beginning. Welcome to PERCEPTION!” states label strategist Nils Wasko.
MPE are also not stingy with details above all: Darkness Invisible will finally be unleashed upon the world on September 26, 2025, and was once again self-recorded at Ansa Studio (Ulvila, Finland); Jens Bogren mixed and Tony Lindgren mastered the ten new tracks (plus CD / digital bonus song) at Örebro, Sweden’s Fascination Street Studios (AMORPHIS, SEPULTURA, KREATOR etc.). Alvaro Valverde Fernandez was hired to create artwork and layout.
Pre-order your copy: https://mpe.rpm.link/darknessinvisiblePR
Despite delivering MPE’s much-loved trademark elements, Darkness Invisible is not content to simply revisit old formulas, but it expands upon them: the arrangements are more cinematic than ever, layered with subtle electronic textures, ambient passages, and dynamic shifts that mirror the emotional weight carried within the lyrics - and the result is a work that feels both cathartic and devastating.
First single "Of Death," also the opening track of their new record, a bone-shattering yet enormously melodic piece with a darkly majestic chorus, can be heard below:
About MORS PRINCIPIUM EST
Over the course of seven original studio albums, MORS PRICIPIUM EST refined their modern approach to melodic death metal again and again. Members came and gone, but their music remained untouched: razor-sharp riffing, sweeping orchestration, melancholic harmonies, and relentless rhythmic precision - topped by Ville Viljanen’s unmistakable vocals.
MORS PRINCIPIUM EST were founded in Pori in 1999 and are one of the longest serving Finnish melodic death metal bands. With frontman Viljanen being the most stable members, the present quintet survived several line-up changes before original members and guitarists Jori Haukio and Jarkko Kokko returned to MPE and already took part in recording their latest offering Liberate The Unborn Inhumanity [2022]. Also contributing to these refreshing re-recordings from their early years were former bassist Teemu Heinola and drummer Marko Tommila.
