ABOUT LANDMVRKS:

LANDMVRKS were born in 2014 in Marseille, France.  For two years, the band composed songs, recorded and started playing local shows by sharing the bill with bands such as FIRST BLOOD, MORE THAN LIFE and little by little, LANDMVRKS started making a name for themselves in the French metalcore scene. During this time, the band released a few singles and videos to help build up their fan base. In May 2016, LANDMVRKS released their first album Hollow, entirely produced by Salfati and Exposito. They decided to release this album independently, and toured Europe to showcase this opus. They seduced their audiences with a modern metalcore style peppered with hardcore riffs and catchy choruses. This album helped secure them slots on big festivals, helping to strengthen their reputation.

In 2018, the band signed a contract with Arising Empire for their second studio album Fantasy and they demonstrated how successfully the band has managed to build their name and assert its own style. the next two years, they traveled the world, played in Japan, did some headlines tours and had the opportunity to have great European tours (While She Sleeps, Stray From The Path, Any Given Day).

While they were on the road, they had the time to focus on brand new material. The band members gathered together when lockdown ended in France, after one of the strangest periods ever experienced. The time had come for them to assemble, within the vocalist's studio (Homeless Records), the elements of their third album, fashioned for months. The purpose of this album, entitled Lost In The Waves, is clearly not to reinvent LANDMVRKS. The purpose is to fully deploy the band's arsenal in order to definitively impose its style. An uncompromising style, assumed, claimed, and highly distinctive. The listener goes through massive, energetic, or even aerial parts, without escaping the efficient groove inherited from a rap culture. The musical production of this album is the most accomplished and organic that the group has ever had. This album shows that instead of getting lost in the waves, the French band firmly holds the helm.

CHAYCE BECKHAM BROUGHT THE HOLIDAY CHEER EARLY TO HIS HOMETOWN OF APPLE VALLEY, CALIFORNIA

PLATINUM selling #1 hit singer-songwriter Chayce Beckham returned to his hometown of Apple Valley, California yesterday, December 12, to visit the town’s local parks and recreation afterschool program at the Singh Center for the Arts. Partnering with Gibson Gives and FreeGuitars 4 Kids (FG4K), Beckham personally surprised 30 kids with brand-new guitars.

A cause near to his heart, the American Idol winner is passionate about giving back to his hometown. From his own experience growing up with music at the center, Beckham knows the positive impact music education can have on children and wants to continue to spotlight and support this mission within Apple Valley.

“Music has always been a big part of my life,” Beckham shared. “One of my most cherished memories is when my grandmother bought me my first guitar. Knowing the impact music can have on someone’s life, especially my own, I want to give these kids the same opportunity  and encourage them to dream big. I’m so grateful we were able to make yesterday a reality. Seeing their faces and getting to spend time with them reminds me why giving back is so important.”

"When kids hold a guitar for the first time, you can see their eyes light up with possibility. It's more than an instrument — it's a doorway to confidence, creativity and self-expression. Partnering with artists like Chayce Beckham shows these kids that their dreams are within reach. Chayce's journey from Apple Valley to the world stage is living proof that music can change a life. We're honored to stand with him and Gibson Gives to spark that same hope in the next generation,” said Ben Dudley, Executive Director of Free Guitars 4 Kids.

Doug Robertson, Town Manager of Apple Valley, continued: "We're incredibly grateful to Chayce Beckham and FG4K for their unwavering support of the arts in Apple Valley. Their dedication to fostering creativity and giving back to our youth truly makes a difference in our community. Thank you for inspiring the next generation!"

Currently climbing the country radio charts, his latest single “Everything I Need” follows his history-making, autobiographical “23” hitting #1 - both are featured on his debut album, Bad For Me

About Chayce Beckham

Three years after becoming the only artist to win American Idol singing his own songs, 19 Recordings/BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville country artist Chayce Beckham is living proof of his belief that “You can’t tell someone how to write a song.” Scoring his first nomination at this year’s CMT Music Awards for his PLATINUM #1 hit single “23,” the fiery singer-songwriter laid out a course only he could follow, and today remains even more dedicated to his unique creative compass. A California native schooled on tough times and a mix of country, rock, hip hop and beyond, Beckham started a habit of heart-on-his-sleeve songwriting after some hard times when he felt he had nothing left. When combined with his warm vocal rasp on “23,” Chayce’s drive helped him charm the nation on Idol's 19th season in 2021. With more than 406 million streams and counting, the bluesy and brutally honest anthem debuted at #1 on both iTunes’ Country and All Genre singles charts, and now leads Beckham’s first album, Bad for Me – available now – as the emerging star finds his stride. Co-writing nine of 13 songs (three solo), the project shows Beckham opening his soul like most would never dare and embracing a timeless country-rock sound defined by fiddles, steel guitar, and plenty of against-the-grain attitude. With dusky shades of heroes like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson, the set aims to reinforce next-big-thing and “artist to watch” predictions from CMT, Amazon Music, MusicRow and more. Headlining his own “Bad For Me” tour along with opening for  Luke Bryan and Parker McCollum this year, Beckham’s latest single “Everything I Need” is climbing the country radio charts now.

About Free Guitars 4 Kids:
Free Guitars 4 Kids (FG4K) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children in underserved communities through the gift of a guitar. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and creative growth that comes from owning and learning to play a musical instrument.

Since our founding in June 2020, FG4K has placed over 2,000 guitars in the hands of children across 23 states and two foreign countries. But we don’t just give guitars — we give kids a pathway to growth. By partnering with schools, after-school programs, and community organizations, we ensure that each child receives the mentorship and support they need to thrive musically and personally. Our partners provide ongoing lessons and guidance, making our gift transformational, not transactional.

Through collaborations with renowned brands like Gibson, and support from artists like Chayce Beckham, FG4K is inspiring a new generation of musicians. We know that playing music builds creativity, cognitive skills, and mental focus, and it empowers kids to dream big. Our vision is to expand this impact globally, ensuring no child is denied the opportunity to explore their musical potential due to financial hardship.

From Crew to Photographer, Unsung Hero to Manager: Chesney's SUN GOES DOWN 2024 Nabs 17 Noms

Since Kenny Chesney broke the million tickets in a single year touring cycle in 2002, the 8-time Entertainer of the Year has placed a premium on people. His love of No Shoes Nation is boundless, but his commitment to his touring organization is truly worthy of the “road family” name he gave them.

With the Country Music Association announcing their coveted Touring Awards nominations, Chesney’s road family brings home a staggering 17 nominations, from Crew of the Year through Unsung Hero; a testament to the team-building, hard work and unbridled joy of inhabiting the war cry: “Who lives like we do? WE DO!”

“When they called me to tell me the news,” Chesney raved, “I felt like a bit of slacker. I love my guys and the girls out on the road, in the office and points in between. They fire me up, inspire me to push what we do – and this year was easily the best year we’ve ever had on the road.

“Whether it’s Terry Ford driving the Knoxville bus, Nick Buda beating those drums, Tom Petty’s incredible Robert Scovill mixing front of house or rock & roll legend Robin Majors as Unsung Hero, everybody out there gives to the peak, then throws it all at the music when we take the stage. I’ve got lifers like my longtime manager Clint Higham, who’s been here for all of it, my tour manager and best friend growing up David Farmer and who-says-we-can’t? production manager Ed Wannebo all making my crazy ideas happen.

“Back home, Mike Betterton at Wasser getting it booked, Richards & Southern making the t-shirts happen, and Janet Buck at Essential Broadcast Media getting the word out, that’s some anchor,” the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar continued.  “Add in the Swiss Army knife Jill Trunnell, who hangs from stadium signs, as photographer, business manager Renee Allen who makes it all add up, Jay Cooper cutting all that live video together, Philip Ealy lighting so everyone can see – and our stage manager Tom Nisun, who not only came up with ‘Who lives like we do? We do,’ but runs a short order burger grill on the back of our stadium stages, we’re talking some pretty unbelievable people out there.”

Having spent two decades building a crew that’s one of the most beloved by all the venues on the road, Chesney has empowered his teams to reach further, defy convention and create new ways of creating the best night of the summer for the citizens of No Shoes Nation. Whether the vibe, the sound, the look or the way people come together, the Sun Goes Down 2024 crew sought to create a space where love was all, music rocked and memories were made.

With well over 19 million fans played to this century, nearly a billion and a half dollars generated, more than 200 stadiums and 1,000 shows played, the man the Los Angeles Times called “The People’s Superstar” has established a standard by which he’s become one of the true rights of summer – and an artist whose songs have defined what it means to live, love, work and dream across America’s heartland.

“We all work hard, play hard, dream hard and rock hard,” Chesney allows. “It’s great seeing the people who push me, who create this very special environment with me and deliver night after night at the top of their game recognized. I can say ‘thank you’ over and over again, but when they’re acknowledged by the industry where they do this incredible work? To me, that’s the highest honor they can have. Seeing so many names of people who’ve helped build this? That tells you about the Sun Goes Down 2024 team.”

Dutch Futuristic Metallers CRYPTOSIS Announce New Album 'Celestial Death' Out March 7th via Century Media Records

Following their acclaimed 'Bionic Swarm' debut album (2021) and the EP 'The Silent Call' (2023), Dutch futuristic metallers CRYPTOSIS return with a mighty, awe-inspiring sophomore album entitled 'Celestial Death', set for worldwide release on March 7th, 2025 via Century Media Records.

As the first example of the intense material available on 'Celestial Death' a first single entitled “Faceless Matter” has been made available today across digital platforms and is also accompanied by a video produced by the film production company F/53, available to view below.

CRYPTOSIS comments about the track:

“With 'Faceless Matter', we’re opening the new album 'Celestial Death'. The song dives into a future where individuality fades, and people become part of one collective mind, haunted by the loss of self. This track brings a darker, heavier, and more symphonic sound. Welcome to the new era of CRYPTOSIS.”

Watch the Video for "Faceless Matter"

CRYPTOSIS checked in with the following comment about 'Celestial Death':

“We’re excited to announce our new album! A sonic journey that pushes all boundaries of everything we created before. This album represents our evolution - an exploration of darkness that’s both vast and cinematic. 'Celestial Death' pulls you into a haunting atmosphere with relentless heaviness. Each track digs deeper into the enigma of existence, decay and fragile hope. 'Celestial Death' is our darkest vision yet - a soundtrack to the chaotic world we live in. It’s heavier, bolder, and still very much CRYPTOSIS. We can’t wait for you to experience it, and join us in this new chapter. Prepare to ascend. The 'Celestial Death' awaits!".

Recorded by Olaf Skoreng at Tom Meier and Studio Moon Music between April and August 2024, mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios (Unleashed, Necrophobic, Hellbutcher) in Sweden and finally mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Studios (Arch Enemy, Borknagar, Amorphis) in Sweden too, 'Celestial Death' once more comes with artwork by Eliran Kantor (Kreator, Testament, My Dying Bride) and showcases the group on a darker, heavier, more melodic and extremely cinematic journey across its 11 tracks / 42 minutes of playing time.

UK Alt-Pop Trio EXPLORING BIRDSONG Close a Chapter, Begin a New Era with "All I Lack" + Music Video

Piano-led, guitar-less British trio EXPLORING BIRDSONG closes the current chapter of its band history with their new single "All I Lack." From now on the band is fully focused on the future, gearing up for their debut album release in 2025.

"'All I Lack' being the last single ahead of our album release feels pretty profound," says EXPLORING BIRDSONG"It would make sense for this song to indicate where we’re headed next and let our listeners into what has been happening at Birdsong HQ, but that has never really how we’ve chosen to operate. This song has shades of old (in the most literal sense - there are actual parts and stems from old songs in here) and new, whilst still being totally true to us, which feels fitting as we move ahead in our next phase as a band.

"Essentially a love song, we’re tapping into new areas of songwriting that we’re starting to become more comfortable with exploring. Lyrically, 'All I Lack' faces the beauty of the feeling of loving someone, whilst knowing your time together at some point will end; and, as a result, wanting to almost stretch time so it never has to end. Arguably, it is easier to write whilst staying within the parameters of a concept or narrative. Writing about real life takes a degree of introspection that can be uncomfortable sometimes but essential in taking us to new places and maturing our writing. This one means a lot to us and feels like a great way to close this chapter of the band. We can’t wait for people to guess what on earth this album is going to be like!"

Rarely are new groups as exciting, talented or unique as EXPLORING BIRDSONG. Straddling pop, rock and uncategorisable genre-blending beauty, the band are unplaceable for the most part, but bring to mind elements of London Grammar, Kate Bush and Everything Everything.

Rarely too do you hear voices as captivating as frontwoman Lynsey Ward’s. Powerful, controlled, and spine-chillingly tender, Lynsey’s vocals help mark EXPLORING BIRDSONG as a prospect to watch, from the release of their acclaimed debut 'The Thing With Feathers' (2019, Long Branch Records) to 2023's EP 'Dancing in the Face of Danger.'

THE HELLACOPTERS - Release Video For New Single '(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory'

High-energy rock'n'roll royalty, THE HELLACOPTERS, are pleased to present a brand new single from their much anticipated new studio album Overdriver today.

'(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory' sees the band take on the (post)modern preoccupation with nostalgia.

Forgoing influences like the MC5 or KISS, '(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory' nods more to powerpop pioneers THE WHO, THE RASPBERRIES, or even BADFINGER with its major/minor shifts, offering up hidden harmonic treasures while still beating to the 'Copters' signature driving pulse.

Like past favorites 'No Song Unheard' or 'Carry Me Home', '(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory' reminds us of the band's unique capacity to temper their furious-paced action rock with a songwriting sensibility that transcends their genre.

Play it loud!

Of course, there's also an audio-visual treat in the form of a brand new music video for the track by director Emil Klinta, which includes behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions. You can watch it below.

ABOUT THE HELLACOPTERS

Less than three years after their triumphant, chart-storming comeback record, Eyes Of Oblivion, which entered at #1 in their home country, on #3 in Germany, and on #6 in Finland, Sweden's most consistently great rock outfit is back with another banger of an album called Overdriver, due out on January 31st, 2025.

In the meantime, THE HELLACOPTERS have celebrated their triumphant return by playing a show with the mighty Iron Maiden in Gothenburg in July 2022, and gigs with Ghost in Germany in June 2023, apart from their own string of headline shows throughout Europe. Eager to keep the rock flowing, February 16th, 2024 saw THE HELLACOPTERS release not one, but two stunning versions of their classic Grande Rock album, which was originally released in 1999. Grande Rock Revisited included a remastered original version and a remixed and partially re-recorded version as a companion piece, showing how the album could have sounded in a parallel universe with guitarist Dregen being in the band at the time. After making rock grande again, the group set sights on new material, debuting the phenomenal single 'Stay With You'  in May 2024 and releasing it as a limited 7-inch via Lightning Records.

Their ninth full-length Overdriver was recorded at Strawberry Studio & The Honk Palace and is the first HELLACOPTERS album entirely produced by Nicke Andersson. As you might expect from a HELLACOPTERS album it's filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy, and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before. The striking cover for Overdriver was created by German illustrator Max Löffler.

The band has already made waves with their debut single, "Chemicals," which racked up over 200,000 streams on Spotify within a month and earned international radio play. Their subsequent single, "Slip Away," climbed active rock radio charts and further cemented their reputation as a rising force in the rock scene.

Hunter Oliveri Shares "Queen of the Slum" Video

Hunter Oliveri, the 18-year-old talent who has been steadily buzzing and creating a name for himself, is closing out 2024 with the video for his new single "Queen of the Slum."

Watch it below

The song is a grungy, alt-pop jam paired with a truly relatable lo-fi video shot on handheld cameras by Hunter and a bunch of his friends. If you haven't been shirtless in a shopping cart and feverishly raced down the street you grew up on, have you ever even been young?

"'Queen of the Slum' is about being young in a relationship and how love feels like an unpolished but exciting time in life where we are all trying to find our place in the chaos," Oliveri says.

Oliveri previously shared the tracks "Novocain," "Stranger," "Dumb," "Spiraling Out," and "SCUM."

Go ahead and further familiarize yourself with the artistry of Hunter Oliveri.

ABOUT HUNTER OLIVERI:
So what else do you need to know about Hunter Oliveri, whose previous single "Kids" was tipped by Pigeons + Planes? Plenty!

His songs channel the alternative and grunge blueprint of his musical heroes — like Chris Cornell and Soundgarden, Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins — imbued with the playful opaqueness of Kurt Cobain's lyricism and the easy slacker hooks of Weezer.

Like all of Oliveri's music, it speaks to the messiness of growing up. It sounds exactly like that, too. He simply writes what he knows.

There are songs about partying too hard and songs about loving too much; songs about last night's headrush highs and the morning-after's anxious comedown. There are songs for when you seek the comfort of relatability, and there are songs for when you want to simply say "fuck it all."

They are the product of the humble authenticity of someone who's grown up in a place no different to a million others the world over. Most have never heard of Paso Robles, CA, and might never again. There's sunshine, strip malls, and vineyards that outnumber venues ten to one, where the nearby underground music scene of San Luis Obispo a few miles down the road is more accessible than anything resembling the bright lights of L.A. two hours to the south or San Francisco up north. "It's a boring city, but we make the most of it," Oliveri shrugs. "We'll go skating, or hang out and smoke. And anyway, it's fun to go moshing in someone's basement."

It's no surprise, then, that Oliveri is used to creating more interesting scenes than those that existed outside his window. As a kid, he would do so in the stories he dreamt up in his bedroom. "I like writing stories about worlds I'd want to live in," he says, "which made my own world seem so much bigger."

Such creativity inevitably morphed into songwriting in his early teenage years — though music had long since embedded itself within him. "I was probably four years old when I first heard 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' around my parents’ house," he recalls of music's omnipresence in his life. "I never knew the name of the song but every time I heard it, I'd be like, shit, it's that song. It would give me this majestic feeling." He laughs that his mom holds a video recording of her son gamely plucking through a rendition of a Metallica song (it was the epic "One") at his Kindergarten graduation performance. His dad — an avid fan of Korn and Tool — meanwhile tells him that his parents met at Woodstock; not the peace-and-love of Woodstock '69, but, more aptly, the confusion-and-chaos of Woodstock '99.

A chance meeting at age 14 with a local producer's father while in a coffee shop with his grandpa was the first domino to fall in Oliveri's music story. The rest is a history still to be written. "I've been so incredibly lucky, but I've manifested this, too," he says. "I've always known writing music would be my life. I just had to make it happen. It was hard to find kids around my city that played instruments and wanted to be in a band, but I've been writing songs every day in my bedroom since I was maybe 13 years old. It takes me to a different place."

Those songs are anthems for those disassociated with the world on their doorstep, the soundtrack to growing up marooned inside a digital world that Oliveri speaks of with disdain as "rotting people’s brains."

"I want to bring people into my world through my music," he adds. "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, and to relate to me, and for me to be a friend and an outlet for them."

And as for everything else?

Well, he'll figure it out as he goes.

What if music could give us the opportunity to rewrite the future?

Mandoki Soulmates puts this question at the heart of their latest acclaimed album, A Memory Of Our Future, which has attracted worldwide attention as a musical masterpiece, in Europe, and particularly in the USA and UK: Called “A modern-day Jazz Progressive Rock masterpiece” by Goldmine Magazine, and said by Forever Music “the album of the year,” fans and music press alike have hailed the album for carrying the flag for the future of Prog Rock through its timeless and socio-politically relevant musical messages conveyed in a super high-end audiophile format, in what band leader Leslie Mandoki calls, with a sly smile,“a revenge of the analog.”

On November 29, a strictly limited deluxe X-mas edition of the album A Memory Of Our Future has been released worldwide on White X-mas Vinyl for the highest sound quality. Produced completely in the analog domain, audiophiles have lauded the production quality of A Memory Of Our Future, and coming shortly, the album will also be available on ¼” studio master tape for the ultimate analog audiophile experience.

TAG Publicity Mourns the Loss of Co-Owner Tom George

Tom George passed away on Wednesday night December 11 from a massive heart attack.  Tom, along with his wife Tracy own TAG Publicity.  Due to them owning their own business Tom George did not have life insurance so the family needs help with the insurmountable hospital bills accumulating along with the funeral costs. Tom was a loving husband & father.

Tom was a remarkable man whose passion, dedication, and tireless work ethic transformed the world of music publicity. But beyond the press releases, the interviews, and the media campaigns, Tom was a true believer in the power of music—not just as an art form, but as a force that could move people, bring people together, and change lives. He lived his dream!

As a music publicist, Tom had a gift for seeing the heart of an artist, and understanding what made them special. He didn’t just promote music; he helped shape stories, craft narratives, and give voice to the people behind the music. Tom was everyone's friend, he listened, he also loved talking.  Whether working with a rising star, an iconic legend, or a band on the verge of breaking through, Tom was the unsung hero in the background, tirelessly fighting to make sure the world heard what they already knew: that these artists and their work mattered.  He put his blood, sweat tears and literally his life into his work.

But what truly set Tom apart was their integrity and unwavering belief in the artistry of music. He was more than just a publicist—He was a champion for the artist. He believed in music's transformative power, and they understood that behind every press kit and media appearance, there was a person, a dream, and a journey that deserved to be heard. Whether it was late nights or not sleeping at all while he was working on an album launch, chasing down the perfect media placement, or navigating the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry, Tom gave his life to help others realize their dreams. And in doing so, they made the dreams of countless artists, fans, and colleagues come true.

ABOUT JELLY ROLL:
Award-winning, GRAMMY® nominated Nashville native singer/songwriter Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) bowed at #1 on the Billboard 200 All Genre Chart for the first time with his acclaimed 2024 album, Beautifully Broken—which also earned the highest critical praise of his career so far from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Associated Press, NPR, and more. The release concluded his most successful year yet and followed his sold out Beautifully Broken Tour in arenas nationwide. The album includes the platinum-certified #1 hit “I Am Not Okay.”

Just a year earlier, Jelly debuted Top 3 on the Billboard 200 All Genre Chart and #2 on the Top Country Album charts with his debut Country Album, Whitsitt Chapel (released June 2nd, 2023) - earning the biggest Country debut album in Billboard Consumption Chart history. Following his sweep at the 2023 CMT Music Awards where he earned three awards to become the most awarded artist of the night, the Billboard Country Power List Cover star and “country’s ‘most authentic’ new artist” (The New Yorker) received Billboard’s 2023 Breakthrough Award and the People’s Choice Award for Male Country Artist of the Year. Nominated for Best New Artist and Best Duo/Group Performance for “Save Me (with Lainey Wilson)” at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, along with eight genre-spanning nominations at the 2024 iHeartRadio Awards and a win for Best New Country and Pop artist wins, Jelly is one of three artists alongside Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs to have scored three Country Airplay #1s in 2023 and the first to do it with his first three singles. He has earned six consecutive #1s to date at Country radio and is “one of Nashville’s fastest rising stars” (The New York Times). A 4X winner at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards and the most nominated male at the 2023 CMA Awards, with five total nominations capturing his first CMA Award for New Artist of the Year, Jelly continues to break boundaries. His #1 hit single “Save Me” — a confessional, vulnerable expression of self-doubt— set the stage for his new season of life and took him to new heights including a Platinum certification from the RIAA on the heels of his 28-week reign at No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. Most recently, “Save Me” earned Jelly his first ACM win for Music Event of the year, released his new album Beautifully Broken on October 11 and launched his Beautifully Broken Tour on August 27th following his eight consecutive #1 singles: “Liar,” “I Am Not Okay,” “Chevrolet” - Dustin Lynch feat. Jelly Roll, “Halfway To Hell,” “Save Me,” “Need A Favor,” “Son of A Sinner” & “Dead Man Walking.”

Not just an artist but a humanitarian, Jelly continues to resonate with fans on a global scale while racking up numerous milestones - from playing his sold-out hometown show for 18,000 fans at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to donating a recording studio at the juvenile detention center he served in as a teen, to the release of his record-breaking documentary by ABC News, “Save Me” - the most watched music documentary on the platform - to his visits with rehab centers and those incarcerated across the US. Featured by Nightline, GMA, GMA3, The New York Times, LA Times, The Tennessean, Billboard, Variety, American Songwriter, CMT and more, his self-built, unconventional industry rise and unique fan connection has garnered praise from numerous outlets, with Variety noting, “for everyone who’s facing the same struggles, Jelly Roll is their Springsteen,” and American Songwriter echoing, “with a string of accolades and an extremely dedicated following, Jelly Roll has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.”

The Nomadic Release Two New Singles, "The Absolution" and "Marie Antoinette"; New Record Drops December 12th!

Following on from the release of their first singles "Treading Water", "All Changed", "First Light", "Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams", "Hearts and Minds" and "Revolution", The Nomadic has released two new singles. "The Absolution" and "Marie Antoinette" from their sophomore album New Horizons out now all all major platforms!

Singer Songwriter Rob Gaylard relocated home to Sydney Australia in February 2022 after 5 years as a regular feature of the New York City indie rock scene and recorded New Horizons with Dan Frizza in Sydney at Forbes Studios.

"The Absolution is a song about love, loss, forgiveness and recovery.. It is for sure a nod to The Boss himself, aka Bruce Springsteen, and is heavily influenced by my time in Afghanistan, and in particular the mental health issues caused by America’s troop surge in 2009. It was and is a time of great personal loss, and for many Afghan and US families. It is also heavily inspired by the case of Beau Bergdahl who was held captive from 2009-2014," says Rob Gaylard.

About the new release "Marie Antoinette", Rob adds, “It’s incredibly exciting to be releasing Marie Antoinette today! It feels like the culmination of a long journey, from the initial conception of the songs to the development and creation of the final product in the studio, mixing and mastering! Combine that with the emotional experience of going through some rough times and coming out the other side to see some New Horizons – overall It’s been a bit of a marathon!”

The Nomadic is the best of Aussie rock talent, with Miles Thomas (Lior, Ronan Keating, Montaigne)on drums, Oliver Thorpe (The Whitlams, Matt Corby, Meg Mac) on guitar, and Brendan Clark (Meg Mac, Montaigne, Jack River) on bass. Dan Frizza as producer lends the kind of magic touch that has seen him enrich the work of the likes of Tones & I, King Princess, and Gurrumul.

Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band.

Influenced by artists like Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve, Bruce Springsteen, Phosphorescent, The War on Drugs, Arizona and The 1975, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.

Having been originally influenced by numerous cultures and ways of life, The Nomadic promotes and advocates for issues of social action and innovation, human rights, support for minorities, as well as doing the next right thing, including the idea that it is never too late, including for people to follow their dreams and passions.

The Nomadic is:
Rob Gaylard/Singer songwriter
Dan Frizza/ producer/ keyboards
Miles Thomas/ Drums
Oli Thorpe/ lead guitar
Brendan Clark/ Bass

Mörk Gryning Premiere Dystopian Symphony "Fasornas Tid"

From out of the shadows once more, Mörk Gryning have returned with a newly blackened opus.

These cultishly beloved lords of the Swedish black metal scene have been a blazing force in the underground since the early '90s. On their new album, Mörk Gryning refuse to yield to trends, honoring their feral countrymen by carving out raw, apocalyptic symphonies. Fasornas Tid is scrawled in the same sacred and bloody ink as their seminal debut, yet remains drenched in the visceral immediacy of the present.

Fasornas Tid comes out December 13th on Season of Mist, but you can hear all 12 savage songs today by listening to the full album stream on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

Formed in the chilling embrace of '90s black metal, Mörk Gryning has always carved their own path, paying homage to their forebears while relentlessly pushing forward. Fasornas Tid - which in English means "The Time of Horrors" - dive bombs into a void inner turmoil, full of the insatiable hunger for self-destruction.  "Tornet" storms ahead with unbridled fury, featuring the savage vocals of C from AVSLUT, while the title track marks a return to the band's melodic roots in its relentless harmonies and breakneck tempos.

Both haunting and ferocious, Fasornas Tid paints a dystopian symphony reminiscent of Mörk Gryning's iconic debut Tusen år har gått…, yet is still unmistakably a product of the now.

Mörk Gryning was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1993 by Goth Gorgon and Draakh Kimera. Two years later they released their debut album “Tusen År Har Gått” (1995), recorded and mixed at Unisound Studios, by legendary producer Dan Swanö and released by No Fashion. The album is one of the milestones of the ‘90s Swedish Black Metal scene.

The group returned to action in November 1996, working at Sunlight Studios together with Tomas Skogsberg and Dismember’s Fred Estby to craft the “Return Fire” album. Over the following years, three more albums were released, for example “Maelstrom Chaos” with new guitarist Avathar, a scene veteran, recorded at the legendary Grieghallen Studios Bergen, Norway.

Ever since the debut album, “Tusen år har gått…”, Mörk Gryning has refused to follow in the footsteps of others and walked their own paths – something which is made very clear on the 2003 release “Pieces of Primal Expressionism”, an experimental and heavy progressive release recorded at Dug Out, produced by Daniel Bergstrand. After a couple of years of touring and festival performances, the band was put on hold.

Returning to the scene again in 2017, the band performed an exclusive live show in Stockholm playing all the songs from the debut album and some other songs from the back catalogue. This ended in releasing the 4-song live record called “Live at Kraken”. During the pandemic the comeback album “Hinsides Vrede” was released to much critical acclaim with many of the songs today being the backbone of their live shows. A new album is scheduled for release in 2024 and the band is more active than ever.

Emerging Swedish Thrashers SARCATOR Unleashes Vicious New Single, "Where the Void Begins"

Before the festive season starts, Sweden’s blackened thrash metal band SARCATOR offers an early present for its fans with their newest single “Where the Void Begins.” The third track from the band’s upcoming album delivers a haunting exploration of despair and existential reflection. With vivid imagery, the lyrics delve into themes of isolation, loss, and the allure of the unknown. Dark and poetic, the song paints a picture of surrender to the infinite unknown - terrifying but liberating. “Where the Void Begins” will be the last single before Sarcator’s third full length album, 'Swarming Angels & Flies,' will be fully unleashed January 17th, 2025, via Century Media Records.

Listen below.

The band comments, "'Where the Void Begins' is the brother song of 'The Long Lost,' off our 2022 album 'Alkahest' - not in an obvious way but it felt like continuing on a story that wasn't complete. It's the heavy one on this album and ends up in a total rock n roll frenzy.

Additionally, it is the first one we wrote that ended up on this album, so it still carries the spirit of the previous album in a way.”

Sarcator’s “Swarming Angels & Flies” sets the bar high for the upcoming album in terms of speed, heaviness and pure desire to see the song unfold live. Starting off like an explosion, the song delivers a sonic blast hurling the audience straight into a fire pit with raw, untamed energy. The album is now available for pre-order in various formats HERE.

At a juvenile age of 14-20, Sarcator released their first demo tape, “Visions of Purgatory”, via the American label Redefining Darkness Records in 2019. Just two years later the quadrumvirate got nominated for best rock/metal album for the Swedish music award P3 Guld with their 2020’s self-titled debut release for the same label. After releasing their 2nd album, “Alkahest”, via Black Lion Records in 2022, Sarcator finally got a proper chance to play live, captivating crowds with their intense, blackened live shows.

With their current line-up fully committed to the band despite their young age (all members are between 19 and 25) it was time for them to record their third album, which still features previous guitarist Emil Eriksson. Shortly after signing a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records and heading out on a debut European tour supporting Hellripper and Cloak, Sarcator will be releasing 'Swarming Angels & Flies' on January 17, 2025.

This album marks the most intense, brutal and rawest creation yet for the band. It is a remarkably mature and sophisticated piece of work, from mercurial musicians who are only in their early 20’s, and still at the beginning of their creative journey. Across eight, grotesque and utterly venomous tracks, Sarcator have deftly blended the wide-eyed extremity of their debut album with the inspirational musicality of their second record “Alkahest”, while playing everything with more intensity than ever before. Both deliriously melodic and mercilessly brutal: “Swarming Angels & Flies” is the most dangerously potent record the Swedens have made to date.

Sarcator explains about the record and its creation process, “We wanted to highlight the most aggressive and extreme parts of us, but we still wanted to work with dynamics, so you still have elements of classic rock and post-punk, which we started experimenting with on the last record. There is no question that it’s our most intense, brutal, and rawest creation yet - It's not really a genre album and we like to keep it that way."

With plenty of live activity in support of the upcoming album, Sarcator are already at the forefront of an emergent, highly determined new generation of Scandinavian extreme metal bands and ready to take the rest of the world by storm soon too.

“Tender Rage” by Hence: A Haunting Ode to the Pain of Longing

In their poignant new single, Tender Rage, Hence delves into the anguish of yearning for intimacy while feeling disconnected from it. Drawing inspiration from Kierkegaard’s existential philosophy, the song tells the story of Helena, a woman caught between a desire for closeness and the barriers she creates to protect herself from vulnerability.

Helena’s “tender rage” reflects the quiet frustration of searching for love in places that cannot offer true solace. Her struggle speaks to a universal human experience: the tension between our need for connection and our fear of exposure. “She feels the soul’s demand for something real,” Hence explains, “yet she’s trapped behind her own defenses, craving a depth she hesitates to embrace.”

Musically, Tender Rage captures this conflict with Hence’s signature “Rage Romance” sound—layered beats and haunting choral refrains that echo Helena’s inner turmoil: “Ohhhhh ohhhhhh Helena / Wrapped in a tender rage.” The song is a lament for anyone who has ever felt the ache of being close, yet far away.

The release comes with a stunning version re-worked by Danny Briottet who has taken ‘Tender’ to new oddities and ‘Rage’ to the dance floor.

Tender Rage - Danny Briottet Renegade Soundwave Remix

(Additional production by Rico Conning)

Long Lost Pleasers - (Darker Seas Interlude) is a small teaser to the forthcoming single (2025) Steadying The Ship which is yet another ode to the troubles of living.

Available 11th December 2024 on Cosmic Cassettes.

CRASH HARMONY rewinds the clock on 'Nobody Asked for This' LP, resurrecting the spirit of 80s' Yale rock

In the flurry that has erupted for NYC indie rock outfit Crash Harmony surrounding the release of their debut full-length album 'Nobody Asked For This' 30+ years on from initially forming, the quartet share their short but impactful mini-doc album trailer, filmed at Magic Door Recording in Montclair, NJ - the very studio where they recorded this long-awaited release.

Crash Harmony is made up of Dave Derby (vocals, guitars), Mike Potenza (guitars, keyboards, vocals), Jon Nighswander (bass, vocals), and Nils Nadeau (drums, percussion, vocals). Formed in 1986 in New Haven, CT while attending Yale University, the band played their last gig in May 1988. They hadn’t played together again until 2022 - a reunion that would see them rekindle the spirit of their college days and set their minds to finally releasing their earlier material.

Dave went on to The Dambuilders (and then Gramercy Arms), Mike served on The Anderson Council, Jon left for Europe, and Nils wandered north. But no matter where they went, Crash Harmony still kind of mattered. Eventually, they had to come back. They had to return to that place so, decades later, Crash Harmony reformed to make a new record of old songs - a rock-and-roll reenactment of the New Haven scene that changed them forever.

Exemplifying the 10 tracks on this record are the singles 'Velour Goddess' and 'Orange Background', the latter of which Nils Nadeau describes as "a letter from our college selves to our grown selves and also, in a way, from Generation X to what we have now in the world".

Now available on vinyl and digitally via Magic Door Record Label, this album was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, Luna). Recorded by Ketchem and Dave Derby in NYC, Ketchem produced it together with Crash Harmony.

Yale rock - an oxymoron too good to be dismissed, meeting as undergraduates swept up in the current of something more exciting than college – a New Haven music scene that was real. While college was for figuring out what you wanted to be, college rock was for figuring out what you wanted to sound like. Crash Harmony was absorbing everything, and trying it all on for size at house parties, frat houses, and clubs throughout New England.

Like their name, the record is an orchestrated pileup of long-ago influences that collided in the chambers of their broken young hearts and have again wriggled free from their throats and amps, pop gems humming like cicadas and dancing for the pure joy of being alive again.

If you were fortunate enough to ever be part of a vibrant music scene, then you know how intoxicating, how important, how finally cool you felt to live on this newly discovered planet. It was pulsing with energy and possibility, teeming with talent and artists and then, the jaw drop of realizing your planet was actually part of an entire galaxy of scenes vibrating around the country. A truth revealed that rock legends were not just the leather-pantsed strutters on the national stage but dishwashing oddballs strumming in your neighbor's backyard - heroes you could actually meet, try to impress, emulate and maybe one day open for, if dreams could come true. And, for Crash Harmony, they did for a while.

Crash Harmony is fortunate to get a second wind - then, as now, experiencing the exhilaration of being part of a vibrant music scene and that sense of belonging, that excitement and the possibilities that come from being surrounded by talented musicians. The realization that local scenes are connected to a larger musical universe, where rock legends could be found in unexpected places. This allure and inspiration and, ultimately, the realization of one's youthful dreams are all drivers. For Crash Harmony, these dreams have finally became a reality.

'Nobody Asked for This' is out now on vinyl and digitally on all platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.

Trashcan Sinatras' John Douglas shares 'Johnsburgh, Illinois' from new 'Still or Sparkling?' EP

Revered Scottish songsmith John Douglas of Trashcan Sinatras fame presents 'Johnsburgh, Illinois', the latest offering from his new 'Still Or Sparkling EP', released via Reveal Records

This has been a very busy year for Douglas, with highlights including headlining tours of the UK and North America (with select shows involving Trashcan Sinatras' Frank Reader and Paul Livingston), the UK Top-40 charting of Trashcan Sinatras' 'Cake'reissue (33 years since its initial release), and a Trashcan Sinatras documentary, produced by award-winning journalist Ken Sweeney, which featured Douglas' acoustic performance of beloved Trashcans' songs.

"I first heard this Tom Waits song in the early 80s and I read that the recently-married Tom had written it about his wife. I was a lonesome, single young fella at the time and I yearned to find a love that inspirational. Eventually I found my girl and I sing this song for her… ‘She’s my true love and I’m her only boy’", says John Douglas.

About the video, he shares, "I was visiting a sculptor friend, who worked in what used to be an old school. The reverb from the old brick stairwell was spookily magical. I had my guitar outside in my car, so I grabbed it and sang this on the stairs when my sculptor friend downed his tools for lunch."

With his own love story involving none other than Eddi Reader of Fairground Attraction, now his wife and also a solo artist in her own right), everything has come full circle, with Reader also contributing back vocals and accordion on this EP.

Earlier, Douglas shared the lead single 'Still Or Sparkling?', evoking the early days of any relationship…. the getting to know each other phase, flirtatious and light, in which he also name-checks the unlikely trio of Shirley Collins, Annie Briggs and Michelangelo, noting "This is a new song of new love… the fresh, early days. Inspired by a late night date with my future wife, spent listening to folk records, eating figs and getting to know each other."

Following up his eponymous debut album, released in 2023 and produced by Mark Freegard (New Model Army, Lush, The Breeders, Del Amitri, Marillion), this new EP maintains a natural 'no overdubs' approach and also involves Boo Hewerdine (The Bible), Kevin Mcguire and Alan Kelly, all members of Eddi Reader's Band. This EP also features Douglas' rendition of the Van Morrison classic 'Across The Bridge Where Angels Dwell'.

Douglas also recently shared his version of 'Weightlifting' for the 20th anniversary of Trashcan Sinatras' album by that name, preceded by endearing videos for 'Oranges & Apples', 'I Just Want To Go Home', 'Lost', 'I'm Not The Fella', 'Always' and 'Leave Me Alone'.

The 'Still or Sparkling?' EP is out now, available from fine online platforms, including Bandcamp. Douglas will next perform on January 17 at Glasgow's Cottiers Theatrefor the prestigious Celtic Connections Festival.

Dead Poet Society Share New Version of "HURT" (Feat. The Warning)

Los Angeles quartet DEAD POET SOCIETY, who were recently tipped by The New York Post's Page Six as a band to know, dropped their second albumFISSION earlier this year via Spinefarm. It's available here.

They have not taken a beat since releasing the album, embarking on a non-stop, Herculean touring schedule, screaming up the radio charts, and winning over press and fans with every performance. They appeared at several Spring festivals, as well.

Today, they have shared the reimagined version of their single "HURT," featuring rock band The Warning. Listen here.

Watch the visualizer below.

"We're so excited to release this new version of 'HURT' featuring The Warning," Dead Poet Society say. "We first saw Paulina from The Warning singing along to the song on social media, when we were on Shiprocked together. So it seemed only natural to invite her up for a repeat performance at Aftershock. It became such a moment, that we invited them to record a studio version with us and all three of The Warning sisters."

"The first time we heard the song was while working on our album Keep Me Fedwith our producer, Anton DeLost, who also produced Dead Poet Society's album," state The Warning. "When 'HURT' came out, we were in the studio and heard it there. We immediately congratulated Anton on everything because it was just incredible. From that moment, we became fans of the song.

"Later, we met DPS on Shiprocked and heard the song live for the first time, which was amazing. Then, at Aftershock, DPS invited Pau to perform it with them on stage. That performance brought everything together, and after it, we started talking like, 'Hey, maybe we should hop on the song officially.' Now, we’'e thrilled to see it finally being released. It's such a powerful song, and we're incredibly happy to be part of it."

Elsewhere, their previous single "RUNNING IN CIRCLES," which was a Top 10 track at radio, appears on MADDEN 25, one of the most beloved video game franchises of the fall season. The band also played some of the biggest shows its career, gracing the main stage at Reading & Leeds (UK) and appearing at Pukkelpop (Belgium), Lowlands (Holland), and Rock en Seine (Paris).

Clearly, 2024 has been a banner year for Dead Poet Society thus far. Stay tuned for more from the band in 2025.

Prior to the release of FISSION, Dead Poet Society accumulated over 100 million global streams, with nearly 50 million streams in the U.S. alone. The band also enjoyed two Top 15 singles at radio and key playlisting. They have also spent as much time as possible on the road — having toured with alt rock powerhouses Badflower, Biffy Clyro, Highly Suspect, and BRKN Love.
