MOODRING Announce "YOUR LIGHT FADES AWAY" EP + Share "WOULDYOUWAITFORME?" — LISTEN🌟

Florida-via-Atlanta alt-metal band MOODRING are pleased to announce their forthcoming EP, titled YOUR LIGHT FADES AWAY. It arrives on July 14 via UNFD. Pre-order it here.

To herald the new EP, the band has shared the visualizer for the new single "
WOULDYOUWAITFORME?" Watch and listen below. The song epitomizes the band's patented push and pull energy — where chunky guitar riffs collide with dreamy soundscapes, layered vocals, and thick grooves. The track manages to straddle the line between anthemic and pit-ready with an effortless grace that is isn't normally expected among such down-tuned nastiness.

"A song about the fragile fibers pulled taut between opposing feelings," says singer Hunter Young. "It's a love song about hating to love and loving to hate, devoted to a toxic desire which remains constant even though it suffocates and consumes. The song reflects these contrasts in its mashing of sultry, sensual melodies with high angst and screaming desperation."

He furthers, "We really wanted to push ourselves to experiment with vocals on these new songs, and find a way to work our signature chorus hook in amongst new approaches to melody and aggression. And the fact that it was written whilst Hurricane Ian raged literally outside the studio windows very likely contributed to the stormy, dramatic tones and emotions within the track."

ABOUT MOODRING:
Moodring previously released the full length album Stargazer in June 2021. The album was soaked and splattered with shades of crimson, black, and blue. It explored themes of pain and loss, sex and addiction, love and death against a gloriously patchwork musical backdrop. Moodring mix swaths of moody, '90s grunge and thunderous, '00s hard rock into a unique and unforgettable sonic blend. Ultimately, Stargazer served as a sonic document about letting go and giving in — letting go of trauma and pain and giving into temptation, vices, and the void.

Miranda Lambert & Leon Bridges Unite On “If You Were Mine” Out June 6

Fellow GRAMMY Award winners and Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Leon Bridges join forces to deliver an enchanting duet, with “If You Were Mine” set for release next Tuesday, June 6, across all major digital platforms. Pre-save HERE.

The heartfelt collaboration produced by Jon Randall sees Lambert and Bridges celebrating the objects of their affection from a distance, contemplating how they would cherish and treasure their beloved if fate ever granted them the opportunity. Together, the gifted singer-songwriters seamlessly fuse their unique musical styles, as Lambert’s powerful and emotive storytelling blends perfectly with Bridges’ velvety timelessness, creating remarkable vocal chemistry that will resonate with fans across genres.

“I have been a big fan of Leon for a while because he is very authentic as an artist and I love his music. I wrote this song with Ashley Monroe and Jesse Frasure, specifically with Leon in mind,” shares Lambert of the longing ballad of unrequited love. “Since we are both from Texas, we threw in a few Texas references, of course – the Frio River being one. When we finished this song, we sent it to Leon in hopes that he would want to collaborate and we were so glad that he said yes. I have really enjoyed getting to know him and I’m happy to have him as a new friend.”

“I was humbled to have Miranda ask if I’d join her on this beautiful duet she wrote,” adds Bridges. “Getting in the studio with her in Nashville to sing this song together was magic. There’s nothing better than two Texans on one mic!”

The release is the first glimpse at new music from Lambert, who has recently teased “some fun collaborations up my sleeve,” since her critically acclaimed and GRAMMY-nominated album,
Palomino, celebrated by Variety for cementing her place as “the best ambassador country has to the world.” Lambert also recently added New York Times best-selling author to her impressive list of titles with debut book “Y’all Eat Yet?” available everywhere now and will return to Las Vegas for the next round of her Velvet Rodeo residency shows in July following a Nissan Stadium performance as part of CMA Fest next Friday, June 9.

Bridges is currently in the studio working on his fourth LP for Columbia Records while touring throughout the summer and fall of 2023.

debut book, “Y’all Eat Yet?,” available everywhere now.

Palomino, her eighth solo album, arrived in 2022 as the largest female Country album debut of the year and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Named among the best of the year by the New York Times, TIME, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum, People and many more, it marks the latest installment in a storied career that has spanned seven previous No. 1 solo albums, 11 No. 1 hit radio singles, more than 70 prestigious awards and countless sales certifications, earning the most-awarded artist in ACM history praise from NPR as “the most riveting country star of her generation.”

With her headlining
Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency extended through late 2023 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Bakkt Theater, the top streaming female Country artist of 2022 was also named to the TIME100 list honoring the world’s most influential people, with Pitchfork declaring that she “manages the hat-trick of both timelessness and timely activism.” Whether challenging conventional gender notions in her recent Top 10 hit “If I Was A Cowboy” or using her voice to write and record the inclusive “Y’All Means All” anthem for Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” the Texas native continues to expand the tent of the Country genre via her music.

Idyllwind, her clothing and cowboy boot collection, is an exclusive brand sold at all Boot Barn stores nationwide, while her home goods collection, Wanda June Home, is available exclusively at Walmart. She is also the first female artist to have her own venue on Broadway in Nashville with her Casa Rosa Tex-Mex cantina. An avid animal lover, Lambert’s MuttNation pet product line is available exclusively at Tractor Supply Co. with proceeds benefitting her MuttNation Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that has raised over $8 million since its inception in 2009. The Foundation’s mission is to promote the adoption of rescue pets, support animal shelters across the country, advance spay & neuter and assist with the transport of animals during times of natural disaster.

DIFFERENCES Premiere New Music Video For "Body"

Spread out across Southern California, Melodic Hardcore quartet DIFFERENCES
was built from pain and loss while still being able to express power and growth through music and lyrical content. The band advocates for change by meticulously crafting and sharing their image and messages via music. Their sound brings energy to an exhilarating performance while exploring taboo and often not spoken about subjects ranging from drunk driving to their “no means no” stance on sexual assault.

Today, DIFFERENCES partners with KNOTFEST to premiere the music video for 'Body'. The music video was filmed by Ryenn Lyons and Brad Eichar with additional footage from Blake Littell. The video was directed and edited by the band's very own guitar player Gene Ramirez.

DIFFERENCES comments, "We wrote 'Body' at a time when a friend of ours betrayed all our trust. It was a moment where we thought we had been clear to everyone around us that our bodies are our own, but it seemed we missed the mark. When we wrote the lyrics we wanted to make it absolutely and undeniably clear that you should only ever put your hands on someone intimately with their consent, and as time moves forward it proves true and true again that some people genuinely do not care about consent. My body is my own; there's a force to be reckoned with if you don’t understand that."

Stay tuned for more information on the new music!

ELEGANT WEAPONS UNLEASH SINGLE/VIDEO FOR TITLE TRACK FROM THEIR DEBUT ALBUM, ‘HORNS FOR A HALO’

"The title track ‘Horns For A Halo’ is like Tony Iommi crossed with Alice In Chains. It’s about the way we justify the bad things we do. When we turn up on Judgement Day, will the angels kind of confuse our horns for halos, if you know what I mean."

Kenny Chesney's I GO BACK Ends w/ KCDC, Surprise Songs + A Letterman Jacket

And Then It Was Finished...
Kenny Chesney Wraps “Intimate” I Go Back 2023
2nd Night at The Wharf Saw Audible Calls, Band Covers, KCDC
-- and A Letterman Jacket

Kenny Chesney presented I Go Back 2023 Tour special guest Kelsea Ballerini w/ letterman jacket. | Photo Credit: Allister Ann

Even before Kenny Chesney hit The Wharf’s stage, it was fixing to be one of those kinds of tour-enders as the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar dropped by the legendary Flora-Bama® Lounge, Package & Oyster Bar to surprise the Blue Chair Bay® Rum pop up event being broadcast on No Shoes Radio. Then he called a final meeting of everyone on the road, from riggers and sound guys to truck drivers and caterers to offer thank yous and praise for the very special, great energy tour they were wrapping up.

“People hear it’s not stadiums and they think it’s smaller,” Chesney said backstage. “But it was intense, intimate, fun, wild, free – and it could change from night-to-night. Plus, with the people who were out this year, it was a blast from start to finish. What an amazing way to start summer!”

From the first liquid notes of “‘Til It’s Gone,” it was obvious everyone had come to wring every moment out of Chesney’s final set of his I Go Back 2023 Tour. Designed to return to those places that were part of the 8-time Entertainer of the Year meteoric rise, the tour has seen Chesney revisit classics including “There Goes My Life,” “The Good Stuff” and “Old Blue Chair.”

For his second night in Orange Beach, local favorite “Flora-Bama” was again sung with the crowd singing along in full voice, as well as the whirling tropical “Guitars and Tiki Bars” and “Coastal.” But even more fun was seeing bass player Harmoni Kelley crush AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie,” guitarist Danny Rader sweeping up Tom Petty’s classic “Listen To Her Heart” and multi-instrumentalist Jon Conley went hard with the Rolling Stones’ blistering “Start Me Up.”

“Beyond going back to the places where it all started, this band is so much fun to play with, I really wanted to share them with the people beyond the stadium cities – and places we play on those tours,” Chesney offered. “They’re so good, so alive up there. For the last night, I wanted to let the band put the pedal down a little bit, so I could show’em off more than just the KC/DC vamp we play at the end of ‘Beer In Mexico.’ We picked some of our favorites, and they took care of the rest.”

In keeping with the places it all got started, Chesney presented special guest Kelsea Ballerini with a gift that brought tears to her eyes. After the pair stomped through “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” two men emerged from the wings. One had Chesney’s Gibbs High letterman’s jacket from when he was in school; the other had a red and black Central High jacket customized for the Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year nominee.

“Part of why Kelsea drunk texted me to sing ‘half of my hometown’ was because we went to rival high schools, but basically come from the same place,” Chesney laughs. “When it was time to get something to remember the I Go Back Tour by, what better gift? Hard to believe mine still fits, but it did. So, for one night in Orange Beach, the Gibbs Eagles and Central Bobcats represented for a whole lot of people.”

A lot of ground since Charlottesville, Virginia’s kick-off, I Go Back 2023 – presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum – as he ventured through State College, PA., Greensboro, NC, Grand Rapids, MI, Grand Forks, ND, Sioux Falls, SD, Jacksonville, FL, Fort Wayne, IN, Lexington, KY, the Tortuga Music Festival and Lincoln, NE where the paper opined “Chesney blows the doors off arena in best-ever Lincoln show.”

Stepping in at both June’s Gulf Coast Jam and Carolina Country Music Fest, there are a few more chances to see Chesney this summer. In addition, he will play Endicott, NY’s En-Joie Golf Club June 23 and Newton, IO’s Iowa Speedway July 22.

“What a way to start my summer,” he says with a smile.  “Some really great memories were made.”

Dark electronic artist Slighter presents 'Have No Fear' single, previewing new album via Brutal Resonance

"A deep sound design that spans subterranean dubby techno and modern bass sounds... a subtle but totally unmistakable insistence, building intensity gradually and only releasing it as the song fades back into the shadows" ~ I Die: You Die

"When you hear Slighter, the room expands. The soundscapes Allrich creates are larger than life and the production is unquestionably smooth" ~ QRO Magazine

"Slick, motorik, infectious and polished... Fans of Meat Beat Manifesto, Fluke, Future Sound of London and Leftfield should take note here" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A creeping sludgy sex appeal... A hungry snarling club growl for your next playlist" ~ Sounds and Shadows

Alternative-electronic artist
Slighter presents his new single 'Have No Fear', an intense, moody and cinematic offering with traditional A-side and B-side versions, released via Confusion Inc. This is the first taste of his full-length album 'This Futile Engine', forthcoming this summer via Brutal Resonance Records.

Slighter is the solo moniker of
Colin C. who has been fine-tuning the future of electronic music since kickstarting his music in Mid City Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Creating from a unique vantage point, he was involved in collaborations for various Metropolis Records releases and Cleopatra Records compilations, in addition to Slighter releases via his own Confusion Inc. imprint.

Mixed and mastered at
The Cell Studio, this new 13-track record features collaborations with Steven Seibold of Hate Dept, Yvette Winkler of Vaselyne, Craig Joseph Huxtable of Landscape Body Machine, Morgue VVitch, Deep Dark Water and more.

In his continued path of sonic experimentation and innovation, Colin provides new fuel for the counterculture. 'Have No Fear' features Slighter's signature vocal style on top of a noisy rumble of techno-beat programming and grinding synth manipulations. The B-side ('Dark Rave Mix') is a more DJ-friendly offering that kicks up the BPM and pulls back the arrangement for maximum dance floor mayhem. The accompanying video was created by Psyklon Industries.

"'Have No Fear' is a song that took a while to come together, but it was actually one of the first ideas I had for the new Slighter album. Coming off of my last album
'V O I D' (released in 2021), I wanted to break away from that creative vein I was tapping then, but still have some catharsis in the songwriting," says Colin C.

"The "Have No Fear' recording sessions were all hardware synth jams, very organic moments that shaped my direction for the whole new record. But it took awhile to find the voice for it, the lyrics are intentionally personal but there's some universality to reminding oneself that fear is a choice to make."

While very much an independent artist who largely files under the musical radar, Slighter's music has also found its way on to mainstream shows over the years, with songs and remixes featured on such television shows as Showtime's 'House Of Lies', 'Elementary' (CBS), 'Bones' and 'Lethal Weapon' (FOX), 'Defiance' and 'Covert Affairs' (NBC-Universal).

As of May 29, 'Have No Fear' will be available from fine digital platforms, including
Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. 'This Futile Engine' will be released, both as a deluxe edition CD and digitally, on July 21 and can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

London synthpop stalwart RODNEY CROMWELL presents 'Rod, Jane & Freddy' single ahead of headline UK tour with ROMAN ANGELOS

"A magical-realist synthpop collage" ~ Bandcamp Daily

"Rodney Cromwell is one of the world’s leading lights of retro-future synthpop" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Motorik mechanisation within a hypnotic electronic backdrop...Glorious" ~ Electricity
Club.co.uk

"Delicious Melodies that are both simple and direct" ~ HI-FI World

"Buoyant" 4/5 ~ Shindig! Magazine

"Glorious pure synthpop... one of the most innovative, enjoyable electronic acts around" ~ XS Noise

Modern London synthpop icon
Rodney Cromwell (a.k.a. Adam Cresswell of 90s indie folk band and John Peel faves Saloon and 2000s electronic duo Arthur & Martha) presents 'Rod, Jane & Freddy', a playful instrumental named after the performance group from the ‘80s kids show Rainbow, which combines squelchy vintage synths with a rumbling krautrock beat.

This is one of four tracks found on
'The Winter Palace Remixes' EP, released via London label Happy Robots Records. Apart from the radio edit of 'The Winter Palace', this EP also features remixes involving two thrilling electronic acts - Norfolk electro-chanteuse Gemma Cullingford and Brighton synthwave act Infra Violet.

Rodney Cromwell will be taking his crisp wondrous sound on the road in June 2023 for his debut UK headline tour, accompanied by label-mate
Roman Angelos, who will be touring in support of his 'Supermarkets, Underwater' album with Scott Solter (St. Vincent, Spoon, Superchunk, The Mountain Goats).

With washes of synths, strings, tinkering electronic piano, detached vocals and layered harmonies delivered in Cromwell's lush baritone, 'The Winter Palace' evokes an icy cold soundscape. Where the title track of his previous ‘Memory Box’ album is about losing the power of recall, 'The Winter Palace' is about trying to forget a lost love, but being haunted by them in his memory. Sonically, the song sits between classic new-wave artists like Joy Division or OMD and contemporary acts like Ladytron and Black Marble.

In the first remix, Gemma Cullingford (Sink Ya Teeth) injects a unique dark coldwave take on the original, blending experimental electronica, brittle new wave, and noughties electro clash. Infra Violet's remix spins the track into a duet between Cromwell and singer Beth Munroe, creating a sweeping cinematic soundscape with layers of reverb, 80’s Simmons drums-sounds and soaring synths from bandmate Toby Campen.

Produced by Brooklyn-based innovator
Rich Bennett (Roman Angelos, The Shaggs, Mahogany, Limoncello, Hologram Teen) at Acme Hall Studios, 'The Winter Palace Remixes' EP was recorded and mixed in Cromwell’s home studio in Catford, South London and mastered by Toby Campen.

Since debuting with the
'Age of Anxiety' album, Cromwell has been featured in NME, Electronic Sound, Huffington Post, Paste, Shindig!, Louder Than War, The Big Takeover, Magic RPM, Post-Punk.com and Bandcamp Daily. National radio play includes BBC 6 Music in the UK, RTE in Ireland, airplay in Tokyo, and RNE3 in Spain, for whom he also recorded a live session.

Rodney Cromwell live is a joyful mixed-media extravaganza, incorporating analogue synths, video visuals and live instrumentation, interjected by Rodney’s 'offbeat wit'' (NME). Described 'like a spiritual experience", he has shared the stage with icons such as A Flock of Seagulls, Damo Suzuki, Pram, Death & Vanilla, Rowetta, M!R!M and Steve Davis. In 2022, he recorded a live session for Electronic Sound and supported Blancmange on a number of dates, further cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting live acts on the electronic music scene.

'The Winter Palace Remixes' EP is out now and is available everywhere digitally, including
Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Catch Rodney Cromwell and Roman Angelos live in London, Coventry, Reading and Todmorden this June. Tickets may be obtained at www.happyrobots.co.uk/tickets

JOHNNY THE BOY unleash new track 'Endlessly Senseless'

Gloom Core trio JOHNNY THE BOY are unveiling their third track 'Endlessly Senseless'. The video illustration is not for the faint of heart. When you're ready, watch the video below and share it online.

This song is from the band's full length "You", which will be released via Season of Mist on June 9, 2023.

JOHNNY THE BOY
comments: "The constant and endless abuse of the natural world and our environment results in the horrific doom and gloom that comes with it. That shit is on us. Welcome to the beginning of the end.”

Pre-save "You"
HERE and pre-order "You" HERE.

Although the band contains members of
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX, the music of JOHNNY THE BOY took a whole different direction. It's creepy, heavy, dark and full of diabolical black metal screams from none other than Belinda Kordic.

Together with Justin Greaves and Matt Crawford, the band created an album with Bathory style elements, a touch of 'Satyricon BlacknRoll' and a bit of fast Motörhead.

Born from a simple idea, and eventually coalescing over the last couple of years into a fully-formed entity, JOHNNY THE BOY make music that fucking hurts. Armed with a scabrous but sculpted blend of ice-cold black metal, excoriating sludge and sinewy, white-knuckle rock’n’roll, the trio’s musical identity has arrived, perfectly imperfect and ready to eviscerate. Formed around a creative core of vocalist Belinda Kordic, guitarist Justin Greaves (both members of Crippled Black Phoenix) and bassist Matt Crawford (CBP alumnus and live bassist), JOHNNY THE BOY began life as an instinctive grab for something darker and nastier.

“It began at a rehearsal with Crippled Black Phoenix many, many years ago,” says Greaves. “We were rehearsing down at Arthur’s, where CBP used to practice, and it was during one of those rehearsals that I just got on the guitar, someone else got on the drums and we were just fart-arsing about, with Belinda doing her necro vocals! Then we posted a little clip online and people starting asking, ‘Oh, is this legit?’ Like always, it took fucking years to even think about doing anything, but it was always going to happen.”

“In the background, there’s the fact that in the first band I was ever in, I sang that way,” adds Kordic. “I really missed doing that. We both missed that whole Iron Monkey, Varukers, aggressive side of music. That’s the first way of singing that I loved, and I’ve missed doing it. So we always wanted to do this.”

Brought together by a love of dark, twisted and extreme music and energized by an opportunity to return to the full-bore hostilities of their earlier creative years, JOHNNY THE BOY‘s debut album 'You' is the final proof that the best ideas cannot be stopped. A collaborative effort that brought the evil best out of everyone involved, it’s an album that has been stewed in real blood, sweat and tears. But mainly sweat.

Scotty McCreery Announced as a 2023 Inductee into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame

The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame announced that Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery is among the six inductees comprising the 2023 class scheduled to be enshrined during the annual induction ceremony this fall. In addition to McCreery, the other inductees are Betty Davis, Bill “Fatback” Curtis, Fetchin Bones, George Beverly Shea and Loudon Wainwright III.

The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center in Mooresville, N.C. and will feature each artist’s induction into the Hall of Fame as well as live performances from McCreery, Fetchin Bones, Wainwright and more. Tickets are on sale now for the 2023 Induction Ceremony. VIP and General Reserved tickets are available
HERE.

“Anyone that knows me knows how proud I am to be from North Carolina,” said McCreery. “It is an honor to be recognized by the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and included with this great 2023 class of artists.  It’s also a bit surreal knowing I will be joining some of my musical heroes who are already in the Hall, such as Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, Charlie Daniels, and James Taylor, as well as friends like Eric Church and Kellie Pickler. I am truly thankful.”

“They say, 'hurt people, hurt people'. 'Heartless' is about 'toxic' relationships and the effects it can have on one, not just in the present but will leech on you and wreak havoc in the future. You can become so numb in the process of it all by taking the abuse, whether it be physical, mental or emotional you become that very thing you hate. After my experience of this, I shut down emotionally, even more than my childhood trauma. I would be transparent out of the gate and state how deadened I’ve become and that I did not want a relationship or anything to build upon. I refused let anyone in. I could not welcome love. It is a virus that transfers easily," says Joey Arena.

He adds, "'Heartless' is my personal favorite to date. A contender to all deep cutter tracks. A song that’s speaks to you and has you coming back for more. Packing a punch out of the gate and delivering a melody that will have you singing along by the second chorus. Sonically charged and rich with exhaustive lyrics, 'Heartless' is the song you didn’t know you needed in your life."

Honing in on a modern sound while consistently setting themselves apart from the mainstream, Ovtlier (pronounced "Outlier") prides themselves in creating exemplary rock and metal music backed by a rapidly growing fanbase. Ovtlier has earned more than 3 million views of fan-curated content on YouTube and over 3 million streamson Spotify, while capturing the hearts of tens of thousands of followers online. In addition to their loyal fan base, the band has caught attention through achieving features in major media outlets such as Revolver, Loudwire, Alternative Press, Decibel and ABC News.

Continually hitting the Billboard charts, Ovtlier has been able to spread their sound nationwide through constant spins on FM radio and months of regular rotation on SiriusXM Octane- launching them into the forefront of their genre. Ovtlier has had three singles featured on SiriusXM Octane; "Who We Are", "Buried Me Alive" and "Blame The Dead" have made fans out of satellite radio listeners across the country and emphasizes the band's ability to stay creative while maintaining an ever-growing fanbase.

Ovtlier brought 2022 to a close with "Living Dead"-bringing the band their biggest success yet. Ovtlier earned a steady average of 1.5 million streams monthly on three streaming platforms (Amazon Music, Spotify and Pandora) alone and saw "Living Dead" become the most played song on SiriusXM Octane. With "Living Dead"behind them, Ovtlier is gearing up to outdo their own personal best with their upcoming release "Heartless". The track was written by the band's lead vocalist and founder, Joey Arena, accompanied by Evan McKeever and Julian Comeau (Loveless). "Heartless" owes its production to Justin DeBlieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White) and Evan McKeever while joining its predecessor as the second single mixed by Chris Dawson (SAUL, Any Given Sin) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Bad Omens, The Plot In You). With Ovtlier's dedication and a star-studded team of support behind them, the success of "Heartless" as the band's most-accomplished single is inevitable.

The Devil's Trade release title track off forthcoming album!

THE DEVIL'S TRADE is proud to unveil the title track off upcoming new album 'Vidékek vannak idebenn', which finds singer-songwriter Dávid Makó and his new bandmates leaning into a more dynamic, heavier sound.

"Vidékek vannak idebenn" is dark and ominous, roiling with fierce electric guitar and booming electronic percussion. It's now streaming on all digital platforms
HERE.

"Vidékek vannak idebenn" will be released on July 14, 2023 via Season of Mist. It's available for pre-order
HERE

THE DEVIL'S TRADE comments on the track: "'Vidékek vannak idebenn' is the first song I have ever written in Hungarian," says  Makó.  "As usual it has a deeply personal layer but it also has another layer that is about the typical Eastern European political struggle: ignoring our history we make the same mistakes again and again till a point where our world gets so rotten and corrupted the only escape seems to be hiding in our own inner worlds. Luckily my inner world is flourishing more than ever."

THE DEVIL'S TRADE Mastermind Dávid Makó comments: "My next album and the new path I chose with it is the biggest step I have taken since I started The Devil's Trade and I can't be grateful enough to Alcest for this opportunity to share my new music with their people."

liminal
/ˈlɪmɪnl/
adjective
TECHNICAL

  1. occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

"I was in the liminal space between past and present"

It is of no surprise liminal space is a key element in the next phase of The Devil’s Trade’s fourth album, ’Vidékek vannak idebenn’ (a title that loosely translates to ’There Are Landscapes Within’) as Dávid Makó, the man behind the moniker has indeed arrived to a threshold in his career, where the phase starting with his self-released debut ’Those Miles We Walked Alone’ ended after his latest album ’The Call of the Iron Peak’. The concept of liminal space itself is a not necessarily pleasant state of mind where you left behind your old life, but new doors haven’t exactly opened just yet.

As Makó states ’The process my first three records pieced together ended, that was no path for me to take anymore, but to take a step forward I had to make decisions I wasn’t inspired enough to make.’ – and from this frustrated, sort of paralyzed state of floating, a new incarnation of The Devil’s Trade was born and so was ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ along with it.

While still true to his solo artist roots, delivering gut-wrenching melodies of darkness and beauty on his own, Makó needed an expansion to his universe. With the addition of long-time friend and former bandmate Gáspár Binder on drums and a live keyboard player, he finally took the much needed step forward and ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ portrays the next sonic phase of The Devil’s Trade.

A soundtrack to the next phase of his life. A soundtrack to souls stuck in liminal space, hungry to adapt to new realities and to grow further, outside the boundaries which so often shackle them.

BLACK VEIL BRIDES & VILLE VALO Co-Headline Fall Tour of U.S. & Canada

General Onsale Begins Friday, June 2 at

10am Local Time on LiveNation.com

This fall, the classic season for dark and romantic music, BLACK VEIL BRIDES and VV (VILLE VALO) will co-headline a massive tour in select cities across North America. Presented by Hot Topic, the BVB & VV 2023 Tour (featuring special guests DARK DIVINE) combines three unique bands who champion the heavy-hearted, hopeless, and broken with mixtures of high intensity and melody.

Produced by Live Nation, tickets to the tour will be available starting Tuesday, May 30 at 12 pm ET via presales with additional presales running throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, June 2 at 10 am local time on LiveNation.com. For more information on the presales visit BlackVeilBrides.net.

“We cannot wait to join forces with VILLE VALO and give both of our audiences in North America an unforgettable experience each night,” says BLACK VEIL BRIDES frontman Andy Biersack. “This run has been in the works for quite a while. We couldn't be happier now that we can finally share the news. VILLE is an icon. We have all been fans of his, not only for his work in the hugely influential band HIM but as a torchbearer for an entire generation of rock fans and musicians.”

“There's something tinnitus-inducingly romantic about the idea of being sandwiched nightly between BLACK VEIL BRIDES and DARK DIVINE on this autumnal trek across North America,” muses VALO. “And imagining us explore the architecture of doom and gloom from three distinctly different musical perspectives has already made the bats in my belfry suitably ravenous.”

Andy adds, “This tour is a dream come true and will be something special. DARK DIVINEis new to the scene but garnering a lot of attention quickly and rightfully so. They are hands down one of the best young bands out there, and we are certain the BVB Army and VV fans will love them.”

Committed to uncompromising expression, with a foundation in hard rock tradition and rule-breaking iconoclasm, BLACK VEIL BRIDES is a transcendent celebration of life-affirming power and anthemic catharsis. A gothic vision first summoned in a small town by an isolated kid fascinated with death, rock, theatricality, and monsters (both real and imagined), BLACK VEIL BRIDES is now a postmodern heavy metal institution with a legion of like-minded fans and supporters worldwide.

2021’s 'The Phantom Tomorrow' produced BVB’s first Top 10 single, “Scarlet Cross.” Last year’s 'The Mourning' EP offered similar success with “Saviour II,” joining a rich catalog that includes “Knives and Pens” (over 160 million views on YouTube), the certified gold “Fallen Angels,” and the recently certified platinum “In the End.” (It’s possible BLACK VEIL BRIDES may even release another brand-new song in the not-too-distant future…)

HIM, renowned as one of the most commercially successful Finnish bands of all time, has sold over ten million records. VILLE VALO, the band's frontman, released a series of beloved albums with HIM from 1997 through 2013, boasting influential modern goth-rock anthems like “Right Here in My Arms,” “Join Me in Death,” “Buried Alive by Love,” and “Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly.” Declaring 'Neon Noir' a perfect record for fans of HIM, Ghost, and Evanescence, Kerrang! wrote, “If you’ve been seduced in Mr. VALO’s musical twilight before, then you can now prepare to pulse in the glow of the heartagram once again.” In a VV cover story, VALO told the magazine, “It is a continuation of what I’ve done in the past and what might happen next.”

Return to Dust Release New Single For "Black Road (Unplugged)"

WHAT THE PRESS ARE SAYING:

""“Black Road” is a killer track. Everything hits hard. The vocals are fierce yet remain melodic. The guitars ring with fire while the monstrous bass line is brazenly defiant. In addition, it was produced by the illustrious Jim Kaufman (Anti-Flag/Helmet). “Black Road” is the perfect vehicle for Return to Dust to showcase their remarkable cinematic approach. This is a band with a stupendous future."

My Amp Music

"Meet Return to Dust, a heavy rock band with songs reminiscent of the grunge era with a modern twist."

Music Scene Media

"Black Road" has also been featured on independent playlists such as Prelude Press' "Music That Doesn't Suck", CHARM Music Magazine's "New Music Friday", NAS 101's "New Artist Spotlight", Get Rocked's "Best New Music", and more.

The Los Angeles-based grunge trio, Return to Dust, have today announced a reimagined acoustic version of their debut single titled, "Black Road (Unplugged)". Fans can stream "Black Road (Unplugged)" here.

Speaking on today's release, co-vocalist Matty Joseph shares:

"Having played an entirely acoustic show last week, it was a blast reimagining our whole set (and some new material) in that light. Since Graham and I write the breadth of our material on an acoustic guitar, I think this version of Black Road shows the true nature of our songwriting, while expanding the range of Return to Dust's sound."

With nearly two decades of notable experience under his belt, the band's producer, Jim Kaufman, continues:

"Return to Dust’s ability to emote using both electric and acoustic versions of their songs is what initially attracted me to the band. They can stand on their own without the bells and whistles of modern production."

Return to Dust, who are heavily inspired by the legendary Alice In Chains, have already cultivated a reputation in the local Los Angeles music scene without having released any music on streaming platforms. The release of "Black Road" marks the band's first ever studio release, produced by none other than Jim Kaufman (Anti-Flag, Danny Worsnop, Night Riots, Helmet). With their remarkable cinematic approach, the rock trio are on track for an unforgettable year of touring and new music. Be sure to stay tuned for more Return to Dust news coming soon.

ABOUT RETURN TO DUST

‘How will you fare against the stress of life’

Return to Dust has always felt like a hidden gem, a band that could have fallen straight from the 90’s, but stands proudly among the musical landscape of today. This is perhaps a gesture towards the timelessness of grunge’s existential yet relatable message, which spoke to and landed them 30+ recordings with decorated producer and mixer Jim Kaufman.

Despite this trajectory, the band had fallen into one of the myriad of “new band” curses, which is meticulously and quietly planning out their debut release. Thankfully, the band committed to their craft long before showing their faces, as singers Graham Stanush (bass) and Matty Joseph (guitar) formed an eternal bond growing up in the cement capital of Texas. The singers carried this passion to the west coast, where they met their then 16 year old guitarist Sebastian Gonzalez.

Now assimilated, Return to Dust has already made its mark, touring up and down the west coast, playing Vegas, Phoenix, every slummy bar in San Gabriel Valley, and personally gaining a stamp of approval from Matt Pinfield on KLOS —- the band is a ticking time bomb to hundreds of eager fans.

Their new single “Black Road'' is a four on the floor heavy rock anthem about self-sacrifice, and forging your own path, released on all platforms April 27th.

Following the previously released singles "Intruder" and "Hierophant", today, RISE TO FALLhave shared a new video for the single "Heroes"! Watch the video below.

Guitarist Hugo Markaida comments: "The third single is a very melodic theme, in which both the clean vocal melodies and the melodic guitars are being prioritized. It is a slower song than the previous singles, but full of energy with a very catchy chorus. But all this melody and harmony explodes with the break, a very frenetic and heavy break that ends with harmonized guitars that will not leave anyone indifferent. It may be our favorite chorus."

Rise To Fall are:

OMEGA INFINITY Shares Genesis Cover, ft. Eklatanz of HERETOIR

Right in time for the 40th anniversary of the self-titled album of one of the greatest Prog Rock bands of all time - GENESIS (THE best, if you ask multi-instrumentalist Tentakel P.) - void metal outfit OMEGA INFINITY presents their own take of the haunting opener to this album, "Mama." The song can be streamed HERE.

This song on air is one of the first musical memories Tentakel had, being only a toddler when this came out, but the eerie atmosphere branded itself into his cortex and not only cemented his everlasting love for GENESIS, but would also never leave his head and drove him to search for similar dark music, eventually leading to Black Metal – the rest is history, and several bands celebrating the style.

A leftover from the 'Solar Spectre' session and initially planned to be a second bonus track on the debut, this cover version suffered from one thing from the very beginning – finding the right guest vocalist. Several guests were asked & initially agreed to join the cosmic duo on their own take of GENESIS‘ number 1 single, but it seemed the track was jinxed – until Tentakel asked his good friend Eklatanz from fellow German Avantgarde Black Metallers HERETOIR. He delivered reliably and adds the much needed melodic factor to OMEGA INFINITY‘s blastizement of this song.

Be prepared to relive the classic song in a very unusual Hyperspeed version!

The clip is taken from the band's latest opus, "The Anticurrent," which was released earlier this year on February 24 and can be streamed HERE and ordered HERE.

OMEGA INFINITY: The story of the endless cycle of birth and death told on a cosmic scale, being viewed from The Void that permeates the whole existence.
The debut album “Solar Spectre” (released in 2020 by Season Of Mist) created a dark and disturbing soundtrack for a journey through our own solar system, combining furious Black Metal of the 90‘s, harsh electronic and menacing ambient sounds with ancient growls and screams and gathered overwhelmingly positive press and fan response when it was first unleashed upon earth.

Not content with only one small statement and following their greater vision for The Void, Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER) and Xen (NE OBLIVISCARIS/ ANTIQVA) had already finished their sophomore album at that time, with only the pandemic preventing the vocal recordings and thus an earlier release.

“The Anticurrent” unleashed a very different view of The Void unto the listener. Rather than the blackness of space, the second album explores Time: From the Big Bang and the chaotic birth of the universe, the album’s focus moves through the rise and fall of human civilisation, while zooming back out to a cosmic scale to witness the inevitable end of the universe in the menacing finale.

No
OMEGA INFINITY album would be complete without cover versions (SEAR BLISS and EMPEROR) and the addition of friends as guests to the ensemble: Heralding The End together with the band are (in order of appearance) Adrienne Cowan (SEVEN SPIRES/ AVANTASIA), Lindsay Schoolcraft (ANTIQVA/ ex-CRADLE OF FILTH), Andras Nagy (SEAR BLISS) and Marta J. Braun (TODTGELICHTER/ VYRE).

If you ever wanted to know how a myriad of Black Holes devouring themselves in a time distortion sound – look no further than

Creeper Announce New Album "Sanguivore" + Share "Cry To Heaven" Video — WATCH

CREEPER TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM SANGUIVORE ON OCTOBER 13 VIA SPINEFARM

BAND SHARES NEW VIDEO FOR TRACK "CRY TO HEAVEN"

A new chapter in the thrillingly theatrical story of CREEPER gets underway today as the acclaimed UK band shares the brand new single and video "Cry To Heaven" and announce the Friday, October 13 release of their third album Sanguivore

Watch the video
below.

CREEPER's previous albums — Eternity, In Your Arms and Sex, Death & the Infinite Void — have seen the band enamour an army of devotees, a highly committed following that propelled their second album to a Top 5 chart position.

Vocalist William Von Ghould says, "Keeping in line with the band's ethos of aggressive musical progression, the song is once again an ambitious departure from previous works. 'Cry To Heaven' turns the key and unlocks a door to a new world of decadent excess. The introduction to a new tragic story of love, loss, and vampires. This is Creeper at their most outrageous, harking back to a time where Jim Steinman ruled the airwaves in leather gloves and Aviators."

Opening with the rousing harmonies of the devil's own choir, "Cry To Heaven" immediately establishes another fresh evolution of CREEPER's style. It's a luscious, maximalist wall of sound in which swaggering hard rock at its most anthemic is amplified by punchy, high-drama synths, topped by the band's signature vocal interplay between William Von Ghould's sinister croon and Hannah Greenwood's majestic range.

It's a track which sees CREEPER extending and updating the lineage of the darkwave hedonism of The Sisters of Mercy with the crunching guitars and wounded roar of Danzig. Those two bands are also reference points for the accompanying video, which sees Von Ghould channeling classic Andrew Eldritch vibes within a visual that feels like an S&M twist on The Lost Boys.

The song's lyrics also tease the narrative that will unfold within the Sanguivore narrative. Its references to blood lust, sex, cannibalism, and a human disguise hint at a new story of ill-fated love and corrosive lust — themes which burn throughout CREEPER's previous album concepts.

For the uninitiated, a sanguivore is an entity that needs to feast upon blood to survive.

"Cry To Heaven" is the latest result of CREEPER's collaboration with the twisted mind of producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood, The Cult, Killing Joke).

Sanguivore is now available to pre-order or pre-save HERE.

In addition to its digital release, the album will be available on physical formats which include limited edition vinyl formats and CD.

The news comes as CREEPER are set to play the Heavy Music Awards at the OVO Wembley Arena tonight, where they're nominated for Best UK Artist, Best UK Live Artist and Best Single for "Ghost Brigade." Their previous accolades include landmark awards from Kerrang!, Metal Hammer and Rock Sound.

THE NOISE WHO RUNS (Ian Pickering of Sneaker Pimps / Front Line Assembly) presents 'New York To L.A. In 2-And-A-Half Minutes'. Their much-anticipated 'Preteretrospective' LP is out now

"Ian Pickering is among the most relevant songwriters of this generation, with topical subject matter, sharp lyricism, a relatable attitude and music that is addictive as F*&@. The same spunk that the progenitors of punk and orderly chaos of early post-punk were made of" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Beguiling... anthemic yet accessible, gothic, grand and graceful, delicately dance-driven and dark, coiled and ornate, slow and seductive" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Poetic brutality... the anthemic grace and stature of something by The Sisters of Mercy: it has an Arctic chill through which a lyrical, passionate heat radiates" ~ Backseat Mafia

"Ethereal electronic intimation. Light and dark entangle... true splendour and prowess" ~ Ringmaster Review

The Noise Who Runs presents their latest single 'New York To L.A. In 2-And-A-Half Minutes', with its bleak but beautiful view. Its siren-like synth, pulsing bass riff and crackling drums underline the urgency of rhythmic energy, which contrasts with the bittersweet "be careful what you wish for" melancholy expressed in the melody and vocals. Here, the speed of travel is symbolic as the sign of progress that, like so many technologies, save us time at the expense of experience, possibilities and chance.

This is one of 14 tracks found on the duo's new
‘Preteretrospective’ album, the brainchild of Ian Pickering (of Sneaker Pimps and Front Line Assembly), who also co-authored such hits as 'Spin Spin Sugar', '6 Underground' and 'Tesko Suicide'. Upon relocating from northern England to France, Pickering formed The Noise Who Runs with Brazilian-French guitarist Felipe Goes.

This latest single was inspired by commentary by one of the scientists involved in the space probe observing the sun. Pickering says, “That line - ‘New York to L.A. in 2-and-a-half minutes’ - instantly just starts painting pictures of an insane future, good or bad, at a certain cost, which is now too much, gone too far, that maybe what matters is not just everything that we take for granted, but more everything that we’re always complaining and bellyaching about. From that line, it pretty much all fell together.”

"The opening line "to be the death of kings in words" partly alludes to the Biggie and Tupac story, which perhaps best sums up the iconic stature of the two cities embodying the very best and the worst of US culture, which have largely defined most of the 20th Century (from music and movies to technological and scientific breakthroughs). After that, it examines the relationship between a future where travel is all but instantaneous and the very human thing at stake in no longer having to make the journey."

Earlier, the duo previewed
'Beautiful Perhaps''Takes a Long Cold Look and Then The Kitchen Sink' and '2poor2die', blending the abrasive beauty of electric guitars and electronica.

The looped simplicity of
‘Off the Rails’ is followed by the pandemic-inspired songs 'Things Fall Apart' and 'Electronic Babysitter' and the wonderfully bizarre groove of 'Somewhere Between Dogs and Wolves', inspired by Ted Hughes’ poem ‘The dogs are eating your mother’.

'So Good It’s Free''Zoe’s Edible Garden' and '2poor2die' deliver the most direct and obvious lyrics on the album, addressing the growing inequality in society and the struggle of the unheard and unseen decent people, who are without voices and increasingly without hope.

The utopian optimism of
'So It Goes' leads to 'Under the Sun', a campfire song with balearic beats that recounts the aftermath of the revolution that should be coming and finally 'L’altruisme', a strangely disconcerting slice of electronic weirdness.

Pickering reminds us, "Nothing that gets done here is for our benefit, you can be sure about that. We might get some hand-me-down bouquet of barbed wire benefit from the next breakthrough technology, but there’s nothing altruistic involved. There’s no heartfelt intention, empathy or compassion behind any of it; it all starts and ends with power, money and profit.”

Mixed and mastered by Colin C at
The Cell Studio, the 'Preteretrospective’ album is out now and available across fine music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where this and other releases can be obtained directly from the artist.

Movements Announce New Album 'RUCKUS!" + Share "Fail You" Video — WATCH

Southern California band MOVEMENTS — Patrick Miranda, vocals; Ira George, guitar; Spencer York, drums; and Austin Cressey, bass — have announced their new album, RUCKUS!, out August 18 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it here.

The album was produced by Will Yip. The band has spent the past several months flexing their creative muscles, pushing their sonic boundaries, and diligently working on new material.

Today, the band has shared the video for "Fail You." Watch it
below.

"Fail You" is all about the push and pull, the tension and release of the chunky guitar riffs, and percussive thrust that have come to define Movements. It's also propelled forward by the emotive vocals of Miranda, the choruses of which fans scream along to at shows — often louder than the band. The bouncy, urgent chorus here will undoubtedly have Movements fans jumping up and down in mosh pits coast to coast.

"'Fail You' has all the inner workings of a classic Movements track wrapped up in a shiny new package and served with a newer, more modern Movements sound," Miranda explains. "It's a song about the fear of letting someone down and losing someone you love — reliving the mistakes over and over again and being haunted by all of your wrongdoings. Fans of both the new and old sounds will find something to love with this one."

Earlier this spring, the band shared videos for the new songs "Killing Time" and "Lead Pipe." Watch the videos, directed by Drew Horen,
here.

It's been a whirlwind few years for Movements as evidenced by the fact that band's 2020 album No Good Left to Give debuted at #3 on the Alternative chart and their streams have doubled since then with 200 million total streams in the U.S. alone. However, despite their success, the Southern Californian act have constantly reinvented themselves since forming in 2015 and the band's third full-length RUCKUS! sees the post-hardcore quartet taking their sound to expansive and sometimes unexpected places. Produced by longtime collaborator Will Yip (Circa Survive, Code Orange), the album fuses post-hardcore and punk influences with a healthy dose of pop songcraft to create an album that defies scene conventions in favor of something wholly unique. In order to accomplish this, the band made three extended trips to Yip's Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, to write and record the collection of songs that would end up as RUCKUS! "I truly don't believe that it could have been a more streamlined process and I don't think we've ever written music that's as good as what we put together for this record," Miranda explains. RUCKUS! sees the band integrating decidedly different influences such as Gorillaz and Strokes into their sound to challenge people's preconceptions.

Movements will hit the road in September and October on a headline run. All dates are below.
