Hailing from northern Sweden, on their new studio album Beneath My Feet addresses profound topics such as abuse, trauma, anxiety and grief. Musically, the band combines influences from the American metal sound and the British hardcore scene to produce what is best described as a loving rhytmic punch to the face. Their music brings together heavy rhythm, pop influenced melodic choruses and catchy riffs, an intense blend that not only earned the band a steadily growing name within the scene, but also several tours across Europe and performances with bands like Dead By April, Amaranthe, The Unguided, Machinae Supremacy, Corroded and many others.

OCEANHOARSE Release Video for New Track "Brick"!

Finnish heavy metallers Oceanhoarse are gearing up for the release of the band's sophomore full-length record, entitled Heads Will Roll, which will be coming out on February 17th via Noble Demon. In support of the new album, the band has released a video for the new single "Brick".

"'Brick' is what it sounds like to lose your sanity. This is the musical equivalent to a high-speed chase, or a 2-minute 45-second long nightmare. The main riff actually started as this crazy c-part of another song, but then we thought, "why not just build a whole song around this fucked up riff?!" I can definitely hear the influence of late 80’s Megadeth here. Helmets on boys and girls!"

With former and current members of well-known acts like Amoral, Warmen and others, Oceanhoarse have become known as a band that's willing to explore things in their very own style, instead of sticking to any kind of average formular. Fire of Aries Releases Heavier, Re-Imagined Version of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose"

Brett Davis, the founder/vocalist/guitarist of the band Fire of Aries, released his re-imagined version of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" to all major platforms today. Brett's version, produced by Cameron Mizzell, can be described as heavy and melodic, while still being recognizable.

"The decision to create a rendition of 'Kiss from a Rose' dates back to 1995 when Batman Forever was released. I was just a kid then; I don’t even think I had a guitar. That song stuck with me. It was cinematic, emotional and catchy for its time. I gravitate to songs that tell a story or paint a scene in our imaginations. 'Kiss from a Rose' is also a bit cryptic and mysterious, which intrigues me. Fast-forward to 2023, I felt like it was the right time to release the song; at least it was in the running. I made the decision to step up to the big leagues and have Cameron Mizzell, a producer of several bands and artists that have influenced my music style and sound. I gave him a short list of songs I wanted to cover; he quickly gravitated to take on 'Kiss from a Rose.' I told him that our version had to be a significant departure but retain the framework of the original so you’d know what song it was when you heard it. He delivered and I had my ideas on what we could do to make it heavy and melodic, but Cam completely blew me away with the team he assembled to create this version. This rendition will always be unique to me as it's my way of immersing myself fully in the music industry and seeing what I can make of it. I have a passion for entertaining and helping people through life. That’s what music has done for me. I want to return the favor many bands and artists have afforded me with their music over the years. I will keep this flame lit for as long as I can to pursue creating heavy, cinematic and melodic music. I would love for this song to be featured in a future release of a Batman movie; maybe a dark and gritty one would fit perfectly. Only time will tell. I am optimistic that music fans will dig it. I look forward to performing it live and loud and hearing the crowd singing it with me," says Brett Davis.

Fire of Aries has been smoldering for the last 20 years and has reached the temperature where it has become combustible. In 2001, Brett Davis, the band's founder, began his journey to become an accomplished musician and artist in the Rock and Metal genres. The inspiration started from the early years of Creed, where Brett found his true passion for guitar and songwriting through watching Mark Tremonti release hit after hit and riff after riff.

As time progressed, Brett jammed with friends from high school, then joined an established band, August Ending/Burning Yesterday, where he recorded tracks for the first time with well-known producer Travis Wyrick (Pillar, 10 Years, Disciple). From that point, he became more influenced by music from American and European metal bands, which brought him to where he is today with Fire of Aries.

Fire of Aries has a rhythmic, melodic, thrashy and percussive sound and feel, influenced heavily by bands like: Sevendust, In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot,Killswitch Engage, Trivium and Memphis May Fire, to name a few. Brett's guitar and songwriter influences come from Andy James, Mark Tremonti, Chad Kroger, James Hetfield and Clint Lowrey. According to Brett Davis, "I want my influences of Rock, Metal and Country music to converge into a beautiful, chaotic harmony," he adds. "Fire of Aries is a musical experience with grit and weight to it." He says, "Through the songs I release, I want the 'real men,' 'the badasses' and 'the gangsters' to let down their guard, feel, experience and express their raw feelings again. In my generation and before, we were taught that boys don't cry and that we must be tough, strong and resilient in our lives; this leaves very little room to feel a plethora of other innate emotions as humans." He adds, "I want to create music with emotion, experience and substance. I envision each song as a screenplay of micro experiences or enlightenment in our lives." Brett references the screenplay idea as he has been an avid cinematographer for over a decade. Fire of Ariesis currently writing and recording music through 2023 and plans to embark on a tour in 2024, supporting bands and artists that have influenced the sound and the story.

German Symphonic Metal ascending stars BEYOND THE BLACK can already look back across a stratospherically successful career, despite their youthful years. Upon release, their 2015 debut album hit like a bomb in their home country. Songs Of Love And Death besieged the German Top 15 for weeks, which led to the band being awarded the Metal Hammer Award for “Best Debut” in 2015. Its successor Lost In Forever (2016) entered the German charts at #4 and paved the way for a huge tour throughout Germany, and across countries like the UK, Russia, and Japan. Since the band’s live debut in 2014, they have played some of the world’s biggest Metal festivals like Wacken Open Air (several times) and have toured as support to heavy weights such as AEROSMITH, KORN, SCORPIONS, SAXON, and WITHIN TEMPTATION. LANDMARK ROADRUNNER UNITED RELEASE RETURNS IN MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS IN MARCH 2023

Roadrunner United was a project organized by iconic hard rock record label Roadrunner Records to celebrate its 25th anniversary, culminating in the U.S. Billboard Top 200, UK Albums, and Australian ARIA Albums-charting original The All Star Sessions. Four "team captains" (Slipknot's Joey Jordison, Machine Head's Robb Flynn, Fear Factory's Dino Cazares, and Trivium's Matthew K. Heafy) were chosen to lead 57 artists from 45 past and present Roadrunner bands. It was truly a heavy metal family affair — and then some!

The release was labeled "a testament to Roadrunner's far-reaching impact on the genre" by MTV. Because that's exactly what it was.

Additionally, on December 15, 2005, a concert celebrating the project, album, and anniversary took place at the Nokia Theater in New York City.

Watch the video for "(sic)" featuring Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Scott Ianof Anthrax fame here. It's an incredibly special performance, as it features both the late Paul Gray and Jordison of Slipknot, capturing both legends in their element on the stage.

"It was incredible to be part of a lineup of such insanely heavy hitters. WOW. And to have had the opportunity to play with Joey and Paul that night, with Corey singing — definitely a Make-A-Wish moment for me," says Ian.

That star-studded event featured multiple musicians, both past and present, from Roadrunner bands — as well as musicians that did not originally perform on the All-Star Sessions album.

The set list consisted of some of the most popular and famous songs released by Roadrunner Records, as well as some of the original songs from the project's album. The "core band," which performed on the majority of the songs, consisted of the aforementioned Cazares (Fear Factory), Adam Duce(Machine Head), the late Paul Gray (Slipknot), the late Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), and Roy Mayorga(Hellyeah, Stone Sour).

Now, both the original All-Star Sessions album and the concert performance itself will be made widely available in multiple configurations on March 10, 2023. Pre-orders for the concert album, which will be available on vinyl, CD, digitally, and presented in HD for the first time, are now live here.

Chase Rice brought a rousing rendition of “Way Down Yonder” to ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night, Jan. 12, for the television debut of the outlaw anthem. Watch the full performance HERE.

“Way down yonder where the outlaws wander / you can feel that thunder in your bones,” he growled, painting a vivid picture of hardworking characters living beyond the confines of the law. The song and accompanying music video, shot in a single take as a time period piece at Fort Worth’s Stockyards National Historic District, previews the new sound embodying Rice’s next musical era.

Recorded during an immersive two-week period alongside producer Oscar Charles and a live band at his farm outside Nashville, Rice’s forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell (out Feb. 10) was crafted using a makeshift recording environment in his living room to capture a pure, raw style unlike any of his previous studio projects.

The shift in setting suited the set of more vulnerable, personal music from the man Billboard celebrates as “having storytelling details tumble from his lips, his portraits created quickly and efficiently,” with CMT noting, “the vocalist worked day in and day out to find the courage to knock down the wall he had kept up his entire career” and Taste of Country declaring, “over the last decade, few artists have come so far to find their true voice.”

Singer/songwriter Julia Poorman released her newest single "Runaway Ship" to all major platforms. The lyrics and music were written by Julia Poorman with music and production by Danny Roselle. "Runaway Ship embodies both the excitement and unstoppable feeling of new romance while also acknowledging the beauty in a love that is chosen over and over again despite the hardships it may face," says Julia.

Writing songs has always been second nature to Julia. As a young girl living in New York's Finger Lakes Region, her little poems could be found stuffed in her night stand expectantly waiting for melodies to bring them to life. As soon as she'd pick up the paper, the music would come flowing out and a song would be born.

Throughout her youth, music served as a reliable and cathartic outlet for Julia. To her, it's an entire dimension filled with comradery, boundless expression, and healing.

As a young adult, Julia took a brief step back from her musical endeavors to help build a business and life with her fiance. Navigating the world as an entrepreneur brought many rewarding opportunities for growth and unforgettable experiences, but she was left feeling a void in her creative nature.

Tigiriliy Gold Releases Rowdy New Song "Shoot Tequila," Out Now

Monument Records’ harmonious sister duo Tigirlily Gold’s mid-west upbringing means one thing: they know how to work hard. Signed to the label in 2021, sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh honed their craft grinding away on Nashville’s Lower Broadway for more than five years. Since the genre’s inception, black metal has been ruled by lone wolves. Individuals who blur the lines between “masterminds” and “madmen,” creating in solitude and willful confinement. From first and second wave purveyors such as BATHORY and BURZUM to this century’s revivalists like SAOR and PANOPTICON, these anomic souls have made incomparable contributions to the dark arts. And in 2022, BIZARREKULT paves a new yet familiar path, establishing itself as one of the cult visionaries of this decade.

Before finding his way to music, multi-instrumentalist Roman V was first a poet. Since childhood, Roman found an outlet in writing and by 2006, he created BIZARREKULT as an auditory accompaniment to his verbal expressions. “BIZARREKULT since the beginning was a quest of identity and philosophical search for answers on the questions that bother the mind at night and day,” explains Roman.

Despite the project’s inception 16 years ago, BIZARREKULT’s music did not make its debut until the release of ‘Vi Overlevde’ in 2021. As he started feeling challenged by the declining state of the world, Roman pursued a new path and decided to go straight to the environment that incubated and birthed the genre that he loves. As he relocated from Siberia to his current home of Norway, his new surroundings had its intended purpose and greatly impacted his musical journey. “After some initial recordings the project was set aside in order to deal with increasing mass challenges from the surrounding world. And then it ended up getting a spark a decade later in a different environment, nature, language and culture. So distant, but so close. Norway has become my second home and the last few years that led to revitalization of BIZARREKULT were spent on reflecting on myself, meaning, purpose and reuniting with the things that were important – art and creativity.”

Meaning “We Survived,” ‘Vi Overlevde’ was a very intimate, vulnerable, and personal offering. Roman describes the record as “a testament to survival through personal crisis” and notes that it is “filled with reflections on childhood, family and societal relations.” The musician took care to ensure that the record delivered a comprehensive package, aligning the music, artwork, and lyrics with exact precision.

As the world was collectively reckoning with the turmoil of year two of a global pandemic, the album’s message gave many hope. Fans started to emerge, reacting to the record with their own artistic interpretations as a way to pay tribute. The album also won the hearts of the media, appearing on a handful of “album of the year” lists, including scoring a third place position from Sweden’s biggest newspaper, Aftonbladet.

Now, BIZARREKULT is ready to enter a new chapter, forging a new union with Season of Mist and completing the work on its sophomore full-length, ‘Den Tapte Krigen.’ Meaning “The Lost War,” ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ thematically picks up the thread from where ‘Vi Overlevde" left off, but sees a musical evolution as BIZARREKULT continues to find and establish its identity. “The main message of ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ is about a constant war inside our lives, war with ourselves, our closest ones, our societies,” says Roman. “It’s a war in which we can lose everything, including our personality, faith, honour and dignity. However, similar to ‘Vi Overlevde’ that ends on a rather positive note, ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ contains a message of hope and reconnection, of necessity to make a peace with yourself, accept what you are, your identity, and share forgiveness and love. Trivium Share Heaven Shall Burn Cover

Grammy-nominated Florida heavyweights TRIVIUM — Matthew K. "In the early days of Trivium, back when we were discovering the many great genres and flavors of heavy music, I knew about the classic greats, I knew about extreme metal, but never before had I heard what HSB was doing," says Heafy. "Heaven Shall Burn's Whatever It May Take album was my first introduction to their brand of metalcore. This fusion of hardcore ethos and metal sounds blew my mind."

Heafy finishes, "'Implore the Darken Sky' is not only my favorite HSB song, but the one that taught me so much about a sound that needed to be injected into Trivium."

The third single from their debut album IX, which will be released on 24th February through Nuclear Blast Records, 'My Only Escape' is yet another display of lush nuance that showcases the band's vast range of influences.

About HOST

The origins of HOST do not trace back to the 1999 PARADISE LOST album bearing the same name but instead to the West Yorkshire music clubs of the mid-to-late 1980s. WhileHolmes and Mackintosh were already certified heavy metal fanatics (“metal thrashing mad” as Holmes equates), they were equally drawn to the New Wave and Goth music scenes. The pounding rhythms, sublime melodies and undercurrent of darkness drew them in, creating immediate earworms and a desire to delve further.

Mackintosh finally put plans into motion during the pandemic for a venture that would merge his penchant for sound design with the moods and atmosphere of 1980s dance-pop and Goth. The project was originally a solo pursuit until he asked Holmes, his longtime PARADISE LOST songwriting partner, to join. 'HOST' was selected as the name as a tip of the hat to the aforementioned album that found PARADISE LOST in an unprecedented period of experimentation that eschewed their metal roots and also challenged their fanbase in ways like never before.

Chicago-based alternative post-punk outfit The Bellwether Syndicate ring in this new dark year with the release of 'Beacons'. Debuting at #4 in the DAC/German Alternative Charts, this is the second single from their 'Vestige & Vigil' album, slated for spring release via Nexilis Records / Schubert Music Europe and Sett Records in North America.

The Bellwether Syndicate is made up of William Faith (vox, guitars), Sarah Rose Faith (vox, guitars), Philly Peroxide (keyboards, percussion), Stevyn Grey (drums) and Corey Gorey (guitars). Formerly of seminal goth acts Christian Death, Mephisto Walz and Shadow Project and co-founder of Faith & The Muse, William Faith moved from his native Los Angeles to Chicago in 2010, forming The Bellwether Syndicate with his wife, Sarah Rose Faith a.k.a. Scary Lady Sarah, one of the scene’s most eminent DJs and club promoters and host of Nocturna, the longest-running goth event in North America.

'Beacons' exerts its nautical feel in both tone and verse, with the ‘set adrift’ narrative supported by liquid, chorused guitars and distress-signal bass and synth, before the whole thing kicks into a full steam ahead chorus, with chiming, glorious guitars chasing the pulsing beat and soaring vocal all the way home.

"'Beacons' is simply a love song to our family: our people — our fans. We’d be truly lost at sea without them, and every time we get ready to play a live gig, they really are the beacons that guide us home, to that moment where we’re together in a safe harbor and everything is possible. That moment is everything to us, and it’s what we live for," says William Faith.

Earlier, the band released the lead track 'Dystopian Mirror', which reached #11 in the German Alternative Charts (DAC). This glam-noir single wields a relentless assault of hard-edged guitars, buzzsaw synths and tribal beats set the stage for a guided tour through the realm of the unwell, spat out with sardonic conviction by the voices in your head.

Six years in the making, the 'Vestige & Vigil' LP was produced by William Faith, whose credits include Jarboe, Clan of Xymox, Bootblacks and Autumn, and Chad Blinman (Face To Face, Faith and The Muse, Jarboe). Recorded by William Faith at 13 Studio in Chicago, it was mixed by Blinman at The Eye Socket. This album comes 9 years after debuting with 'The Night Watch' EP and four years since their latest single, 'Republik'.

'Beacons' is out now, available from all fine digital outlets, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where 'Dystopian Mirror' can also be found. The full 'Vestige & Vigil' album will be released in April 2023.

OUTLANDERS prove once again how multifaceted their vision is. With "WE OWN THIS SKY," Tarja Turunen and Torsten Stenzel have chosen a song which is both calming and full of power. Fascinatingly arranged, more than 80 vocal tracks flow into this instrumental track, creating a steadily rising tension with atmospheric synth sounds and wild guitar riffs. OUTLANDERS welcomed Ron "BUMBLEFOOT" Thal as guest guitarist for this inimitable track.

Pierce The Veil Share Visualizer for New Single "Even When I'm Not With You"

Platinum-selling powerhouse Pierce The Veil — guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry, and bassist Jaime Preciado — will release their new album The Jaws of Life on February 10, 2023 via longtime label Fearless Records. Pre-order it here.

The track follows the explosive, one-two punch of the September 2022-released comeback single "Pass the Nirvana" and its successor "Emergency Contact," which have tallied over 20 million combined streams! Anticipation for the album release is burning at a fevered pitch, while Huffington Post, Gawker, and MTV all recently spotlighted PTV's continued domination of their genre.

Fuentes offered a deep insight into "Even When I'm Not With You," saying, "Musically, it's the first song we've ever created that utilizes the same looping riff throughout nearly the entire song," Fuentes explains. "This was something that I have been trying to accomplish for years with our band and I'm excited that we finally found a way to do it with this one."

Regarding the lyrical scope of the track, Fuentes states, "This song was inspired by a text my manager sent me while I was going through a rough time. I thanked her for being there for me, and she said, 'Even when I'm not with you, I'm still with you.' That phrase touched my heart and inspired me to write a love song dedicated to my wife about no matter how far away I am on tour, I'm still devoted to her, and we will always be connected through our love."

As for The Jaws of Life as a whole, Fuentes says, "This album has truly brought us closer than we've ever been. It was extremely difficult for us to be off the road and apart for so long. We've never missed anything more than playing music together and never had such a strong appreciation for recording, touring, and simply being in the same room together than we do now. The Jaws of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to devour you. The negativity in the world and within your mind can be a vicious thing. We're extremely grateful for this record, our fans, and the opportunity to play live music again."

Pierce The Veil have become iconic in their genre — and rightfully so. Their return has been fiercely welcomed, receiving press praise fromPaper, Gawker, MTV, Ones to Watch, Yahoo, and more. Meanwhile, the first single "Pass the Nirvana" racked up over 13 million streams since its September bow.

They've also debuted atop Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide With the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). PTV's evolution from album to album is nothing less than stunning. The early buzz generated by A Flair for the Dramatic (2007) made its follow-up one of the most anticipated albums of 2010. Selfish Machines shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The Chicago Tribune saluted Collide with the Sky for its "post-hardcore punk with more than a few nods to Queen." They became a true arena act on Misadventures, selling out huge venues without losing the intimate connection with their fans.

The Jaws of Life was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Mutemath, The Blue Stones), and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots). Deadly serious subject matter abounds, but Pierce The Veil enduringly navigates it all with grace. The lyrics continue the Fuentes tradition of painstaking honesty and clever twists of phrase. NYC-based post-punk / alternative rock duo A Cloud of Ravens have released their new single 'Nature of Artifice', the second taste of their third full-length album 'Lost Hymns', following lead track 'The Blackest Mantra'.

A Cloud of Ravens emerged in Brooklyn, formed in 2018 by Matthew McIntosh(guitar and vocals) and Beth Narducci (bass guitar). Growing up in a family of avid music lovers and her mother being a professional opera single, McIntosh arrived at this genre of music after ample explorations in the punk, death rock and hardcore scenes, finally forging the duo's trademark sound with Narducci, whose background is more connected with alternative rock and industrial music.

Recorded from spring to autumn 2021 and mastered by ACTORS' Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound studio in Vancouver, the 'Lost Hymns' LP will be released in early 2023 via Berlin-based Nexilis Records, a a division of Schubert Music Europe.

"The song 'Nature of Artifice' is about choosing to bury your head in the sand, rather than confronting glaring societal ills and moral injustices. It’s easier to get lost in the minutia of our click and swipe modern world than watch its blessings crumble around us. To some extent, none of us are blameless," says Matthew McIntosh.

At the outset, A Cloud of Ravens hit the ground running with a string of self-released offerings, making their mark in the burgeoning contemporary dark music scene and garnering attention that would result in a one-off release date for their 2021 album 'Another Kind of Midnight', a mournful yet triumphant collection exploring the heart of a world amidst a devastating pandemic and torn by moral tribalism.

Effectively merging classic and contemporary post-punk and darkwave sensibilities, their somewhat poetic use of prose and metaphor expressed the trials and joys of the world in which we now find ourselves. A Cloud of Ravens' subsequent remix-based EP featured contributions by legendary producer John Fryer and such prominent artists as Clan of Xymox, ACTORS, Chris Vrenna and Ritual Howls.

'Nature of Artifice' is out now, available across digital outlets, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and Bandcamp. The full 'Lost Hymns' album will be released in April 2023. Fans can also look forward to North American tour dates with Clan of Xymox and Curse Mackey in mid-2023.
