Miscreance Announce Second Album Reminiscence
Fashioned in high-top sneakers and sleeveless band tees, Northern Italy’s Miscreance proudly reflect the old-school spirit. Upon debuting with Season of Mist in 2022, the band were likened by the press to Death, Sadus, Voivod and other undying greats from the alternate timeline that is the history of extreme metal. But their upcoming second LP isn’t just another blast from the past.
Today, Miscreance are announcing their new album, Reminiscence, with a chilling music video for its lead single “Scalp Ceremony”. The band continue to pound and shred at a blood-thirsty pace, but as they cut through its unfamiliar passages, the song ventures into dark and strange new territory for the genre.
“Through a collective hallucination, a voyage through time led us to discover a moment in human history that was lost”, Miscreance says about the far-out path they took to Reminiscence. “This album is a testimony of what we have seen, heard, perceived and imagined, told through our own perspective on old-school, thrashy, technical death metal”.
Watch the video for “Scalp Ceremony” Below:
Reminiscence comes out August 28, 2026 on Season of Mist
Pre-order & Pre-save
Even extreme and obscene artists like Miscreance are well-versed in the classics. With its creepy, cultish, handcam video, underground tape collectors will feel at home watching “Scalp Ceremony”. “We still play old-school tech-thrash”, assures guitarist Andrea Granauro. But while faithful to both Atheist and Dark Angel, Reminiscence isn’t an attempt to recall metal’s glory days. With each sharp and fast turn that the band take during their new single, the genre’s signposts warp until they’re unrecognizable.
“No one ever even sees it comes”, growls drummer Andrea Feltrin with murderous delight. For their final sacrifice on “Scalp Ceremony”, Miscreance bang the long-haired heads of their captive audience with a flurry of bongos.
While recorded in Italy, Miscreance discovered the concept for Reminiscence by sifting through the sands of time. Along with splintering riffs and trippy tempo shifts, the band uncovered a hidden world where jungle-dwelling hunters and digeridoo coexist with strange tongues, telepathic surgeries and a burning celestial corpse. As imagined by Iranian artist Mona Shiraz, the album’s cover art is a modern interpretation of the kind of painting that was all the rage during the Stone Age.
“We are all very happy with how our first album turned out but we wanted to go bigger by tying Reminiscence to a specific concept”, guitarist Tommaso Cappelletti says.
Bassist Jean-Claude Rossignol explains further. “What we’ve created is a ‘lost album’, sent from an unknown civilization that’s both futuristic and extremely primitive. Through psychic powers and capabilities that transcend earthly comprehension, these primordial extraterrestrials have achieved total neural unity. Yet innate wickedness still lures inside of them, harboring the need for preys, scalps and lust”.
The video for “Scalp Ceremony” was created by Tulpa Studio in Ferrara, Italy.

Climbing “The Moaning Hill” is not for the faint of heart, but the intricate twists along its perverse path lead to truly sacred pleasures.
“You’ve never known the face of death / But now it becomes yours”, Feltrin growls amidst the many peaks hidden within “Oracle’s Rift”. As the band tear through a torturous passage with ruthless precision, the last thing you see – or hear – is death metal’s future mutating right before our eyes.
With Reminiscence, Miscreance unlock a mind-altering experience of old-school technical death metal.

Legendary Hard Rockers TESLA Unveil New Single "Never Alone" + Official Music Video
Today, the acclaimed American hard rock band TESLA is proud to unveil their new single, "Never Alone," taken from their upcoming album, 'Homage,' set for release on July 17, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the album finds the band returning to their roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.
On the creation of the new original track, Brian Wheat shares:
"'Never Alone' is a new song that we wrote in the 11th hour of recording the album 'Homage.' It started out as a simple guitar riff. I was at my friends Rachael Ray and John Cusimano's house filming an episode for her TV show, I had some time to kill so I went into their studio in the house, picked up John’s acoustic guitar and started strumming these chords to kill some time. When I listened back to it, it sounded like a TESLA song. I thought maybe it was gonna be a song for one of my other projects, but it sounded like TESLA. So I sent it to Jeff and he said it’s definitely TESLA. Out of that he came up with the title 'Never Alone,' we worked on it together writing the lyrics, the music, switching the chorus around a little bit and as a result, I think it turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoy it. This is our new song 'Never Alone' because we’re never alone."
Watch the Official Music Video for “Never Alone” Below:
It is remarkable to reflect on the more than 40 years since TESLA began as a cover band performing in California nightclubs before going on to write and record original material and sell millions of albums.
Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones—artists who honed their craft by performing songs from those who came before them, TESLA followed a similar path in their early years and continues to embrace the tradition of paying tribute through cover songs today.
‘Homage,’ the band’s upcoming album, not only honors legendary artists but also provides an opportunity to showcase lead singer Jeff Keith's vocal diversity. The album stands as a thank-you expressed through music, an offering to the iconic voices and songs that shaped the band’s influences and, ultimately, their own songwriting.
'Homage' is not about imitation, but acknowledgment, tracing the line from influence to identity, from listening to becoming. The project also arrives more than 20 years after the ‘Real to Reel’ series, a release that helped inspire the creation of a new original TESLA song, “Never Alone.”
The selected songs on 'Homage' were chosen for a variety of reasons, primarily representing some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown. Additional selections reflect songs the band grew up hearing on the radio and on their turntables.
On the upcoming album, TESLA shares:
"Our new album 'Homage' is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years - Keep it Real and Keep On Rockin'!"

TSAR STANGRA Announces New Album Химните на разрушените светове (Hymns of the Broken Worlds)
Québec City-based Bulgarian folk and black metal band TSAR STANGRA will release their new full-length album, Химните на разрушените светове (Hymns of the Broken Worlds), on July 1, 2026 via GLOBMETAL PROMOTIONS.
Created over the course of nearly a decade, Химните на разрушените световеis the band’s most ambitious work to date. The album explores Bulgarian history, folklore, pagan ritual, exile, language, and cultural memory through a collision of black metal aggression, Balkan melody, ceremonial atmosphere, tambura, orchestration, and lyrics written in Bulgarian.
Founded by vocalist Stanislav Stefanovski, TSAR STANGRA was built around the mission of preserving Bulgarian heritage through extreme metal. On Химните на разрушените светове, that mission expands into a larger meditation on identity, displacement, and the meeting of worlds. Written largely in Québec by musicians from different cultural and musical backgrounds, the record carries a natural tension between Bulgarian folk tradition and Western black metal, between pagan symbolism and literary sources shaped by Christian Bulgarian poets, between ancestral memory and life far from the homeland.
The album opens with "Тракийци - Черни химни за изгубените" ("Thracians - Black Hymns for the Lost Ones"), an epic invocation of Thracian memory and Bulgarian ancestry. "Хан Аспарух" ("Khan Asparuh") follows with a martial black metal tribute to the founder of the First Bulgarian Empire, while "Черна песен" ("Black Song") turns inward through the poetry of Dimcho Debelyanov. The record later moves through the exile and longing of "Тъга за Юг" ("Longing for the South"), the Kukeri ritual force of "Земни стражи" ("Guardians of the Earth"), and the uncompromising pagan invocation of "Завръщането на родния бог" ("The Return of the Native God"), before closing with "Българският език" ("Bulgarian Language"), a tribute to the survival of Bulgarian language and identity.
The artwork, created by Paolo Girardi, reflects the album’s central theme of cultural collision. Kukeri, ancient masked figures from Bulgarian pagan tradition, stand before the burning Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, one of Québec’s most recognizable Christian landmarks. The image captures the album’s vision of old ritual, new geography, ancestral memory, and transformation.
Химните на разрушените светове follows TSAR STANGRA’s debut full-length Небесният ковач (Celestial Forger), the 2023 single "Черна песен" ("Black Song"), and the 2024 live album Битката за Фиорда - На живо в Сагене (The Battle of the Fjord - Live in Saguenay). For fans of ROTTING CHRIST, NEGURA BUNGET, DRUDKH, MELECHESH, BATHORY, and IMMORTAL, the new album offers a deeply cultural and ritualistic take on pagan black metal.

About IATT:
IATT is a Philadelphia based progressive extreme metal band known for fusing blackened aggression, technical precision, and cinematic atmosphere into immersive, concept driven works. Their sound moves between ferocity and fragility, combining intricate guitar work, dynamic rhythms, and orchestral textures to create music that feels both emotionally intense and narratively expansive.
Since forming in 2008, IATT has steadily evolved into a project defined by scope and ambition. Each release is approached as a complete experience, with recurring musical themes, symbolic instrumentation, and carefully shaped pacing that guide the listener through psychological and philosophical terrain. Their albums often explore themes such as consciousness, identity, and the tension between reality and inner worlds, expressed through layered arrangements that reward deep listening.
Records like Nomenclature and Magnum Opus established IATT as a band unafraid to stretch the boundaries of extreme metal. Jazz influenced phrasing, classical inspired orchestrations, and atmospheric passages exist alongside relentless riffing and commanding vocal performances, giving their music a multidimensional character that resists simple categorization.
A strong visual and conceptual identity also plays a central role in the band’s work. IATT frequently extend their musical narratives into interconnected visual pieces, reinforcing the emotional and symbolic weight of their albums. This unified approach reflects their belief that sound, story, and imagery can combine to create a deeply immersive artistic statement.
With each new chapter, IATT continue refining their balance of brutality, beauty, and narrative depth, standing as one of the more adventurous and forward thinking voices in modern progressive extreme metal.

Joe Cantamessa – lead guitar
Alec Pezzano – rhythm guitar, orchestral arrangements

Pittsburgh's LOWSUNDAY continues 25-year comeback with ‘You’re So Wired’ and acclaimed ‘Black EP’
On the trail of the 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine - Black EP', newly released via Projekt Records, Pittsburgh darkwave-shoegaze pioneers Lowsunday present 'You’re So Wired', with the video produced by Jer Herring. Capturing the roller-coaster experience of being drawn to a highly energetic, erratic individual, who blurs the line between imagination and everyday life, this song channels a vibrant, alternative rock spirit that ultimately celebrates breaking free into a state of liberated peace.
Formed in 1994, Lowsunday (initially Low Sunday Ghost Machine) emerged as a "retro-futurist" pioneer, blending darkwave and shoegaze long before the genres saw their modern revival. The 'Black EP' is their second release of all-new material released since 1999, previewed by the darkly fascinating lead track 'This Is Not Heaven' and focus track 'Shattered'.
Their legacy was cemented with their 1996 debut album 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine'and the 1999 masterpiece 'Elesgiem', both with extended re-releases out via Projekt Records in the past 18 months (for the 30th and 25th anniversaries, respectively). With a cult reputation for mercurial sounds and blistering guitar work, their music set the stage for subsequent generations of alternative artists. Following a nearly 25-year hiatus, the band resurfaced as the duo of original member Shane Sahene (vocals, guitar, synth, bass, drums) and Bobby Spell (bass, guitar, drums).
At the end of 2025, Lowsunday released their ‘Low Sunday Ghost Machine - White EP', ranked second among Post-Punk.com's Best EPs of 2025, and showcased by the singles 'Love Language', 'Soft Capture' and 'Nevver'. Both a reflection and a resurgence, Lowsunday's two new EPs usher in a welcome return, marked by superb production and a renewed creative clarity, bridging three decades of distinct sonic legacy with balanced doses of escapism, dreamlike sounds, drones and feedback.
With a sound defined by atmosphere, precision, and heartfelt shadow and depths, Lowsunday is now asserting their presence with new strength. While the 'White EP'explored light and texture, the 'Black EP' is the darker counterpart and definitive statement. Shadow and intensity, layered guitars, tight rhythms, and austere synths, this new EP' distills the duo's vision into a sharper, more potent form — a bold declaration of their enduring artistic power.
"'You’re So Wired' is a song that touches on a manic type of experience. It also touches on the classic Chuang Tzu question, after having had a vivid dream: "am I man dreaming I am a butterfly or am I a butterfly dreaming I am a man?" -- The experience of not knowing if you’re awake or dreaming. In this case, the rapid eye movements shown in the video capture both dreaming and erratic behavior, making it hard to interpret which is which," says Shane Sahene.
"In the video, I love the way Jer shows the subject looking through a camera - like a search for honesty or an altered reality. It relates to the song like a form of detachment - just one step removed. Ultimately it’s the experience with this type of person - that when they’re gone, you miss the excitement they create and when you're together, the unpredictably can feel overwhelming. I enjoy the idea of being in a permanent dream state, like an overlay to reality, where one is only stabilized by their dreams. The beauty of the video comes when the escape has been made - just as the song opens up in the bridge - it captures a freedom that had been searched for and finally found."
Lowsunday's music blends glittering, pristine textures with infectious choruses, creating an evocative aura that feels both classic and perfectly suited for the modern era. Representing a daring progression toward deeper, echoing auditory environments, they alternate between steady beats, turbulent noise and delicate, ghostly movements. Exploring dark, expansive sonic territories, they seamlessly transition from harsh, grating feedback to fragile, dream-pop-inspired instances of deep yearning.
"For me, our 'Black EP' is deceptive, opening with energetic and wistful 'You’re So Wired' but followed by songs that are melancholy and introspective. These are the strongest songs we’ve yet done. With strong and memorable melodies, they invoke feelings of isolation and sadness, but in a way that feels familiar instead of depressing, leaving a sense of hope, " says Bobby Spell.
"And this video for 'You're So Wired' perfectly reflects the energy of this song - it feels light and energetic. It’s whimsical, a bit punk rock and a little bit dreamy escapism. Visually the video expresses this feeling with the primary character being a somewhat chaotic but interesting and enigmatic person."
The 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine - Black EP' is out now, available across digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where the limited edition 7" of 'Static / Besides', can also be ordered. The vinyl edition of the album (limited to 200 copies), released on May 29th, can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp and the Projekt Records website.

Portland's Wooden Overcoat shares "I Knew You Would', showcasing debut "Hello Sunbeam" EP
Portland psychedelic indie-pop outfit Wooden Overcoat unveils 'I Knew You Would' with its garage-meets-grunge sound, complete with a haunted vocal harmony you didn’t know you needed. The video was created by Italian multi-arts visionary Francesca Bonci, well known for her work with The Dandy Warhols, Tombstones In Their Eyes, Federale (The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Collin Hegna), Pete International Airport and Slowdive's Rachel Goswell.
Wooden Overcoat's recently released debut "Hello Sunbeam" EP is a sweet spot where lo-fi garage psych meets 90s shoegaze, anchored by layered harmonies and an evocatively intimate vocal delivery. Exploring vivid, emotionally resonant themes, this vibrant four-track collection presents a fantastic dreamlike environment for lovers of life.
The sonic brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Brant Hajek, Wooden Overcoat took its name from an old Americana euphemism for a coffin. Hajek’s creative process is personal, having returned to music after a hiatus. What started as a practice in self-production transformed into a deep creative obsession with soundscapes and gear. Recording in a rented basement, Hajek crafted this EP through spontaneous experimentation, propelled forward by sudden bursts of inspiration.
"The lyrics to ‘I Knew You Would’ are more about transcribing emotional impact than saying something meaningful. I wrote it when I was feeling a lot of grief, very uneasy, and it’s about the isolation you can feel going through bouts of depression, even when you have someone very close to you. Thinking about it in hindsight, I feel like I was writing about myself, hurling accusations for not being better, or finding the ability to improve things about myself or the way I was handling stress and grief," says Brant Hajek.
"Recording this EP almost ruined my life, and I hope it sounds like it. Each song is its own little world, in which I lost myself. With childlike wonder, exploring concepts and sounds, I was inspired to make something new each time just to keep the wheel turning. I loved the feeling of momentum, knowing I was creating something out of thin air and maybe grabbing ahold of something slippery and evasive.."
Hajek’s creative process is a deeply personal, layered journey towards the spark that turns an emotionally restless melodies into finished pieces. While he himself performed every instrument on thise EP, Wooden Overcoat is now a full band, bringing these tunes to the stage. With Hajek on guitar and lead vocals, he is joined by bassist Dillon Glusker, guitarist Mac and drummer Brian Levin.
Earlier, Wooden Overcoat released the shimmering lead track "Home" - a reverb-drenched sanctuary, blending in sun-drenched textures and a wash of tape echo and reverb, and "Finally Arrived" with its viscous guitars, slow thudding drums, rhythmic trance-like pulse and dreamy soundscape. Between mourning and romantic friction, it examines the delicate nature of human connection and tendency to view individuals as replaceable assets. "Heaven Right Now" is a reverb-soaked psych-rock track about hidden emotional fractures, shared suffering, and how people quietly break under pressure.
"This EP was written at a dark time in my life. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, the world was flipped on its head and never really recovered, political turmoil and conflicts overseas dominated the collective conscious, and it profoundly affected me. My relationship was suffering from cumulative stress and I can now see how it came through in what I created. Themes of beauty that doesn’t last, self-sabotage, dissociation, cynicism, and desire for connection but feeling removed from it," says Hajek.
The "Hello Sunbeam" EP is out now, available on digital platforms everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

The Intemperate Sons Release New Single "Dying on That Hill" + Music Video via FRAME|WORK
Alt-Rockers, The Intemperate Sons, have released their new track, "Dying on That Hill," from their upcoming third studio album, Ephemera, set for release in Fall 2026. This track features a guest guitar solo from Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy).
"'Dying on That Hill' came from this exhaustion of what we’re seeing around us — people so locked into an ideology that they lost themselves somewhere along the way. And the internet just pours gasoline on all of it. There's a particular kind of cruelty that lives online, where people say things to each other they'd never say face to face, and somehow that becomes acceptable. We wanted to make something loud enough to cut through that noise, but honest enough to make you stop and wonder which hills are actually worth dying on. That question doesn't have an easy answer, and we didn't pretend it does," says the band.

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.
This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. Mark, the groove-obsessed bassist, ties it all together.
The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man”that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.
For fans of alternative rock, this band is a throwback and a revelation—a reminder of why you fell in love with the genre’s raw honesty and a promise that its spirit still burns. The Intemperate Sons aren’t chasing trends; they’re carving their own path, one riff, one lyric, one night at a time.performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style which has a retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and even R.E.M.
The Intemperate Sons are:
Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)
Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)
Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)
Mark Marks (bass)

Stitched Up Heart Release New Single "MEDUSA"
A Fierce Anthem of Empowerment and Transformation, "Medusa" Finds Frontwoman Mixi Confronting Betrayal Head-On and Emerging Stronger Than Ever!
Los Angeles rock band Stitched Up Heart have released their powerful new single "Medusa," featuring special guest vocalist Lyric Noel, alongside their highly anticipated new album, MEDUSA, available now via Judge & Jury Records.
"'Medusa' is about finally flipping the script on something that has tried to curse you. A battle cry for the women who were betrayed and serving justice by venom with a smile," explains Mixi. "Writing this song felt like clearly recognizing a betrayal, shedding your own skin, and spitting out the venom that was meant to poison you by claiming your power back. It's the perfect mirror — I'm not the girl getting gaslit and nauseous anymore. I'm the one with the Medusa stare turning problems to stone unapologetically. I'm not asking for permission anymore. I am here — I'm reborn, venomous, and ready."
The song's message of rebirth extends throughout the accompanying music video, which was filmed in Dallas, Texas and draws heavily from ancient Greek mythology and imagery. Inspired by the legend of Perseus and Medusa, Stitched Up Heart flips the traditional narrative on its head. Rather than being slain by the Greek hero, the video's twin Medusas rise up and take control of their fate, ultimately defeating Perseus themselves.
The concept originated with Mixi, who envisioned the striking visual of twin Medusas sharing a bathtub as a central image within the video's dreamlike and mythological world. The video's themes mirror the song's message of shedding old skin, embracing transformation, and emerging stronger from betrayal and adversity.
Adding to the experience was a live snake featured in the production. Mixi shared that despite snakes often being portrayed as dangerous or sinister, the animal used on set couldn't have been more different.
"The snake was actually scared of me," she recalled. "It had the sweetest soul and wasn't evil at all like people often portray snakes to be."
Produced by acclaimed producers Cameron Mizell (Machine Gun Kelly, Sleeping with Sirens) and Evan McKeever (Starset, Miranda Lambert), MEDUSA showcases Stitched Up Heart's evolution both musically and lyrically, delivering a collection of songs centered around resilience, self-discovery, healing, and personal empowerment.
"The songs were written with the live show in mind," says Mixi. "We wanted the energy to translate directly to the stage and create moments where people could let loose and embrace their inner crazy."
While the title track and lead single "Medusa" features a standout guest appearance from Lyric Noel, the album also includes collaborations with an impressive roster of artists, including Lauren Babic, Eyes Set to Kill, Conquer Divide, Butcher Babies, Nonpoint, NOAPOLOGY, Austin John Winkler (The Founder), and Geena Fontanella.
The release marks another major milestone for the band following their 2025 signing with Judge & Jury Records. Since joining the label, Stitched Up Heart have continued their upward trajectory through relentless touring and electrifying live performances. Earlier this year, the band joined rock icon Sebastian Bach on tour before completing an extensive run supporting Infected Rain.
Beyond the stage, Mixi continues to use her platform to advocate for more women in rock and metal while actively volunteering with multiple animal rescue organizations throughout Southern California.
STREAM "MEDUSA"
Formed in Los Angeles in 2010 by vocalist Alecia "Mixi" Demner, Stitched Up Heart has spent over a decade carving out a fierce, distinct niche in the alternative metal and hard rock landscape. Known for blending heavy, industrial / metalcore riffs with emotional choruses, the band built their reputation on relentless touring and undeniable hits made for the airwaves.
Their label debut on Another Century Records, Never Alone (2016), landed them on the Top 10 Billboard Hard Rock chart, propelled by standout singles like "Finally Free" and "Monster." They consistently evolved their sound through subsequent records like 2020’s Darkness (featuring Godsmack’s Sully Erna) and 2023’s To the Wolves (featuring Escape The Fate's Craig Mabbitt), solidifying their status as modern rock mainstays while sharing stages with heavy-hitters like Halestorm, In This Moment, and Godsmack.
In 2026, Stitched Up Heart began a bold, defining new chapter with their fourth album, MEDUSA, released on Judge & Jury Records. The album is spearheaded by the fierce, internet-culture rock anthem "GLITCH BITCH" featuring Conquer Divide, & the bloodthirsty women-empowering heater "CANNIBAL" featuring Heidi of Butcher Babies. Stitched Up Heart continues to prove that their signature mix of vulnerability and heavy-hitting attitude is sharper and more resilient than ever.
Judge & Jury is an artist/production team founded by multi-platinum record producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Theory of a Deadman, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Flyleaf, Halestorm, In Flames, etc.) & second to none active rock record holder Neil Sanderson (founder/songwriter/drummer of Three Days Grace). Howard and Neil started working together creatively when Howard produced One-X. He continued to work with the band and produced the albums Life Starts Now, Outsider, and EXPLOSIONS. With the combination of Howard's production and Neil's songwriting, they now have the most #1 songs at active rock radio in history. Still working with Three Days Grace, they also separately formed the production/artist/songwriting powerhouse known as Judge & Jury.

KHEMMIS RELEASE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SELF-TITLED ALBUM
Denver's long-revered torchbearers of doom KHEMMIS have officially released their highly anticipated new self-titled album today via Nuclear Blast Records. Marking the band's first studio album since 2021's acclaimed Deceiver, Khemmis stands as a powerful reaffirmation of the band's singular identity, blending towering riffs, haunting melodies, triumphant heavy metal heroism, and crushing emotional weight into one of the most compelling records of their career.
Stream/Purchase Khemmis: https://khemmis.bfan.link/khemmis-album
To celebrate today's release, the band has also unveiled a new music video directed by Alex Pace for the album standout ‘Gilded Chambers.’
Speaking on the track, vocalist and guitarist Phil Pendergast comments:
"If your aim is to write an album full of rippers, at least one has to kick off with a time honored Heavy Metal tradition -- the drum intro -- and resolve around a sing-along chorus. 'Gilded Chambers' is that track. The accompanying video comes from the track's live premiere in Denver, proving that motorcycle-ready riffs, psychedelia-tinged bridges, and death metal breakdowns make this one kill live. Check it out, then join us in the pit this summer. Horns up!"
‘GILDED CHAMBERS’ MUSIC VIDEO:
Khemmis—the follow-up to 2021’s acclaimed Deceiver—features eight tracks of unrelenting, monolithic heavy metal adorned by stunning artwork from Christopher Remmers. More than just another chapter, the record represents the band in their truest form: a celebration of heavy music, forged through camaraderie, conviction, and an enduring love of the riff.
Across eleven years, KHEMMIS have become one of modern metal’s most revered names, beginning with their 2015 debut Absolution and continuing through landmark releases like Hunted—named Decibel’s Album Of The Year—Desolation, and Deceiver. But while the band’s legacy is firmly established, Khemmis finds them energized by something more immediate: the joy of simply playing loud, heavy music together.
As Hutcherson explains:
“We decided early in the songwriting process that we wanted to write a tight, high-energy album that retained the essential ‘Khemmis sound’ while also embodying the joy of creating, experiencing, and loving heavy metal. Ours have always been deeply personal songs born from tragedy and sorrow; while the songs on Khemmis are still undeniably dark, they are not mined from our suffering. Instead, this record is a celebration of the music world that has sustained us.”
KHEMMIS will embark on a headlining tour this month with support from NECROFIER and WRETCHED, followed by an excursion with MONOLORD soon after. Tickets and additional tour information are available at khemmisdoom.com/live.

About KHEMMIS:
After eleven years of albums and global touring, Colorado’s Khemmis have cemented themselves as pillars of modern heavy metal. Yet as they approach their fifth full-length, the band found something newly vital: the simple joy of creating heavy music together. Formed with no expectations, the group’s longevity has become its foundation, with guitarist/vocalist Ben Hutcherson describing the band as a rare source of stability and camaraderie. Since their 2015 debut Absolution, followed by the acclaimed Hunted, Desolation, Doomed Heavy Metal MLP, and Deceiver, Khemmis have built a legacy of towering, spiritual doom that continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
Despite changes—including members relocating and bassist David Small joining in 2022—the band emerged more focused than ever. Recording again at Flatline Audio in Colorado, the lineup of Hutcherson, Phil Pendergast, Zach Coleman, and Small leaned into renewed trust and chemistry, with distance paradoxically strengthening their bond. The addition of Small invigorated the rhythm section and encouraged experimentation, while the band rediscovered the excitement that defined their early days. That renewed energy fueled a collaborative atmosphere rooted in confidence, inspiration, and the shared thrill of simply playing heavy metal.
The resulting self-titled album is both a celebration and reinvention: a conceptually framed ritual of heavy metal that moves from the pounding “Invocation of the Dreamer” to the climactic “Benediction Tones,” balancing galloping aggression with emotionally resonant anthems. The record embraces extremity, catharsis, and joy in equal measure, complemented by new visual direction from artist Christopher Remmers. Through lineup changes, distance, and a shifting world, Khemmis remain unshaken—leaning into the music that defines them. Their self-titled album arrives June 12th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast, capturing the band in their truest and most energized form.

Bastion Rose Unleashes Progressive Rock Powerhouse "Waiting"
Hot on the heels of their explosive summer releases and performances, cinematic hard rock outfit Bastion Rose is set to release their most technically ambitious and aggressive track to date: "Waiting." Available now, the new single is a masterclass in complex, heavy intensity, marking a towering new chapter in the band's rapidly expanding Blue Rising era.
Drawing undeniable sonic parallels to the intricate, heavy architecture of Tool—a connection made all the more resonant by the band’s previous work with legendary Tool producer David Bottrill on their Traces of Gold and Fade To Blue records—"Waiting" is a sprawling, progressive journey.
The track explores the visceral struggle of self-realization, confronting the internal fires and self-deceptions that keep us trapped.
“'Waiting' is about that terrifying moment when you finally stop projecting your chaos onto the world and realize the fire is actually raging inside your own head,” says frontman Austin Frink. “It’s about the sheer exhaustion of trying to survive, of 'bleeding to come alive' when you feel completely alone. Musically, we needed a sound that was as intense and complex as that internal struggle. This is easily one of the heaviest, most demanding tracks we’ve ever written.”
Bastion Rose are positioning themselves as one of the most formidable emerging acts in heavy music. With recent features in SPIN, Metal Hammer, and Classic Rock Magazine, the band is currently building an undeniable arsenal of material ahead of a highly anticipated 2026 international touring cycle.
"Waiting" is available on all major streaming platforms.
STREAM "WAITING" BELOW:
Based in Bloomington, Indiana, Bastion Rose has emerged as a high-caliber hard rock project born from a pursuit of light within the darkness. Their sound is a sophisticated collision of post-grunge grit and alternative metal intensity, defined by potent, intelligent guitar work, ethereal soundscapes, monumental riffs, and powerful, impassioned vocals and lyrics. It is a sonic identity that caught the attention of three-time Grammy Award-winning producer David Bottrill. Known for his work with legendary visionaries like Tool, Godsmack, Muse, Peter Gabriel, and Rush, Bottrill describes Bastion Rose as a "new embodiment of classic heavy rock... the sounds, the tones, everything. They are reverential to the style of music from the past, bringing it into the modern world."
Bottrill’s involvement provided the blueprint for Bastion Rose’s world-class production standards. From the debut EP Fade To Blue to the full-length powerhouse Traces of Gold, the collaboration resulted in a sound that is both polished and visceral—music that balances the technical, rhythmic intelligence of Tool with the riff-centric, soaring melodic energy of Audioslave. This cinematic depth is not a studio trick; it is a reflection of a journey through hardship. The creative mission is inextricably linked to the personal story of Austin Frink, who navigated a period of staggering loss, including the sudden deaths of both parents and a cancer diagnosis that threatened to permanently silence his singing voice. Frink turned his pain and survival into a universal message. His lyrics explore the heavy themes of existence, hope, and the fleeting nature of life, transforming personal tragedy into a rallying cry for resilience.
The world has taken notice of this ascent. In less than a year, Bastion Rose has experienced a meteoric rise, with a catalog surpassing 1.5 million streams and a global community of 60,000 YouTube subscribers and 36,000 social followers standing behind them. With critical acclaim from industry pillars like SPIN Magazine, Metal Hammer, and Classic Rock Magazine, Bastion Rose has scaled from a studio project into a market-ready force. Striking while the iron is hot, the band is currently unveiling their next prolific chapter: Blue Rising. Spearheaded by the haunting single, "Dust," the record is a philosophical exploration of transience. As Traces of Gold continues to dominate playlists, Blue Rising serves as a clear indicator of the band’s relentless creative pace. For those seeking music that is emotionally resonant and sonically massive, Bastion Rose is the essential melodic voice in the new era of heavy music.

FLESHCRAWL Release Video For "Chapel of Guts" Alongside New Album 'Epitome of Carnage'
FLESHCRAWL unveil a torrent of ferocious bloodshed, chaos and power in their tenth studio album, Epitome of Carnage, out now via Distortion Music Group (DMG) - Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music. Accompanying the full length release is a rampage of gloom in the new music video for "Chapel of Guts".
On "Chapel of Guts" FLESHCRAWL share, "with 'Chapel of Guts' we wanted to showcase the full spectrum of our sound. This track stands out from our more classic Swedish Death Metal tracks, making it the perfect contrast to the other singles and the album as a whole. It's a short break from the more straight-forward tracks, offering a more dark contrast."
"It digs a bit deeper into the Fleshcrawl roots, combining heavy, doomy passages with intense blast beats and a lot of dynamics. It captures that darker atmosphere we wanted to have on the record. It is Death Metal with a room to breathe and then to choke."
On the writing process the band explain, "We didn't force it into a specific direction; we just let the track develop its own flow and energy during the writing process."
A foreboding darkness awaits in "Chapel of Guts". A haunting, enveloping atmosphere swells and hurriedly subsides as the pace increases and intensity rises. As the heaviness ebbs and flows through chaos, it's ferocious brutality leaves nothing in its wake.
Watch "Chapel of Guts" Bellow:
The long-awaited Epitome of Carnage is constructed on the foundation of an expansive career. FLESHCRAWL remain devoted to the death metal genre despite having encountered loss and change along the way. As the tenth full-length release, the new album stands as testament to FLESHCRAWL's unwavering creativity and drive. Arriving seven years after 2019's Into the Catacombs of Flesh, Epitome of Carnage reveals a renewed vigor and power that bleeds through the track list.
Contained within Epitome of Carnage are twelve vicious onslaughts that showcase FLESHCRAWL's unimpeded speed and power. Materializing alongside demonstrations of inescapable heaviness, explosive riffs, and melodic touches amongst the shadows, they leave behind no survivors.

BLOODHUNTER Release New Album 'Sons Of The Abandoned'
Spanish melodic death metal powerhouse BLOODHUNTER have officially released their brand-new studio album “Sons Of The Abandoned” via ROAR - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.
Marking this milestone, the band are not only kicking off a run of Spanish live dates alongside CRYPTA , but are also premiering a brand-new music video for “Masters Of Deceive”, one of the album’s most dynamic and emotionally charged tracks.
Guitarist Dani Arcos comments: "This song is insane. We mixed guttural and melodic vocals, slow and melodic choruses with the most extreme riffs on the album... and there's even a recorded piano that you only realize has been there the whole time at the end of the song."
Vocalist Diva Satánica adds: "This song includes my very first clean backing vocals in BLOODHUNTER. I really wanted to give it a try because it represented the eternal disappointment of people trying to pull out from me a different version of myself but which I didn’t really feel identified with as a vocalist. This song speaks about toxic environments and how hard is to step out from there to follow your own path. It was the first song that we wrote for this album: it goes from a very dramatic chorus to the most enraged verses, to represent the complex dynamics in a relationship."
Formed in Galicia, BLOODHUNTER have steadily carved their name into the international extreme metal scene through relentless touring, uncompromising sound and a clear artistic vision. Fronted by Diva Satanica, the band blends extreme metal aggression with melodic depth, groove and narrative ambition, forging a sound that is both ferocious and emotionally charged.
Since their inception, BLOODHUNTER have stood out for their conceptual approach and strong identity. Their music has always balanced brutality with atmosphere, drawing from themes such as ancient civilizations, power, human conflict and transcendence. Over the years, the band has evolved naturally, refining their songwriting and pushing beyond genre boundaries without losing their aggressive core.
“Sons Of The Abandoned”, produced by Tue Madsen, marks a turning point in BLOODHUNTER’s career. It is their most personal and honest album so far, shifting the focus inward to explore identity, vulnerability, personal struggle and the cost of pursuing one’s own path. For the first time, the lyrics speak directly from the heart, addressing inner demons, toxic environments, generational disconnection and the feeling of being lost in a world driven by individuality and superficial values. Musically, the album expands the band’s palette. Crushing riffs coexist with elegant grooves and striking melodic passages, while sharp contrasts define the songwriting: rage against beauty, speed against atmosphere, darkness against clarity.
With “Sons Of The Abandoned”, BLOODHUNTER solidify themselves as a band unafraid to evolve, challenge expectations and expose their own scars. This is not just another extreme metal album, it is a statement of identity, resistance and survival in a world that constantly demands compromise.

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: Revnoir Drops New Song
French modern metal force REVNOIR return with their most ambitious release to date: "Alchemised" (Feat. Carpenter Brut), an explosive new single that fuses crushing metalcore, industrial intensity, and an unforgettable chorus destined to stay lodged in listeners' minds long after the final note fades. Elevated by a highly anticipated feature from internationally acclaimed synthwave and dark electronic pioneer Carpenter Brut, "Alchemised" blurs the boundaries between metal, industrial music, and cinematic storytelling. Massive riffs collide with pulsating electronic textures, fractured rhythms, and hypnotic melodies, creating a track that feels equally at home on festival main stages and in neon-lit underground clubs.
Lyrically, "Alchemised" explores obsession, temptation, and transformation. Set against a venomous backdrop of desire and destruction, the song follows two souls caught in a toxic chemistry they cannot escape, drawn together by their flaws, their sins, and their inevitable downfall. REVNOIR channel this emotional chaos into a cathartic anthem, balancing raw aggression with haunting vulnerability. The release is accompanied by a cinematic music video that expands the song's dark universe through striking visuals, immersive storytelling, and a dystopian aesthetic that perfectly mirrors the track's intoxicating atmosphere.
Over the past years, REVNOIR have established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in modern heavy music. The band has amassed a rapidly growing international audience through their unique blend of contemporary metalcore, alternative influences, and cinematic production, earning millions of streams across digital platforms while building a reputation for visually captivating releases and powerful live performances. With Carpenter Brut adding his unmistakable signature to the track, "Alchemised" marks a bold new chapter for REVNOIR. The collaboration unites two boundary-pushing artists from different corners of the heavy and electronic music worlds, resulting in a song that is as addictive as it is devastating. Dark, seductive, and impossible to ignore, "Alchemised" is REVNOIR at their most fearless, a towering collision of metalcore aggression, industrial energy, and cinematic grandeur.

Fit For a King Share New Song "Blood Pact" Ahead of Summer Tour With Motionless In White
FIT FOR A KING — Ryan Kirby, vocals; Bobby Lynge, guitar; Daniel Gailey, guitar; Trey Celaya, drums; and Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary — bass/vocals — dropped their eighth album Lonely God last summer via Solid State Records. Get it here.
The band returns today with new music in the form of the standalone song "Blood Pact." It's full of piss, phglem, and palpable rage — just as fans like it.
Watch the visualizer and listen below.
"'Blood Pact' is a song that, unfortunately, has become more relevant as time goes on," explains Kirby. "It's about how the decisions of people in power affect the rest of us. And how as a human race, we face the reality of destruction, even when it's not the majority making the decision."
The song arrives ahead of FFAK's summer tour with Motionless in White, which kicks off July 14 and runs through August 15.
FFAK will remain on the road through 2026 and into 2027. The band will embark on a headline run of Latin America in October and then head to Australia with Beartooth in January. All dates are here. [[ADD LINK]]

IAN MUNSICK EMBRACES ROLE AS FAMILY PROTECTOR ON “WORLD WAR III,” OUT NOW
As Ian Munsick prepares to release his fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, on August 21, the Wyoming native is sharing his latest taste of the project with new release, “World War III,” available now. Listen Below.
A naturally gifted entertainer with an entrepreneurial mindset, Munsick has taken on many roles throughout his career – independent musician, songwriter, businessman – but his greatest source of pride comes from his family. With the release of “World War III,” written by Munsick, Mike Robinson and Jeremy Spillman, Munsick muses over the lengths we’ll go to in order to protect those we love.
“If there's anything worth fighting for, it's family,” shares Munsick. “I'm a peaceful man and would do just about anything to keep it that way. This song is a little different from what I've produced in the past but that's what excites me as a creator. I wrote this song as an anthem to anyone who would do anything to keep peace but would also die for the ones they love. In my mind, that's exactly what makes country music and the people who love it so special. I ain't looking for trouble but if it finds me, you can bet your ass that it's gonna be World War III.”
Munsick’s family expanded in 2025, as he and wife Caroline welcomed daughter Roan Autumn Munsick in September. Shortly before Roan’s birth, the Munsicks bought a small ranch near the Wyoming/Montana border. The combination of emotions that came from becoming a girl dad and returning to the place that serves as his greatest source of creativity provided ample inspiration for the creation of The Mountain Goat.
“It’s just about 180 acres of prairie grass by the Big Horn Mountains – a peaceful spot where we can escape the craziness of Nashville,” Munsick explains. “My music is very inspired by the outdoors and the people that work the land, so it’s a great spot to reconnect and remember what my family and I have is real. What the Earth has for us is real. Tapping into those emotions is key.”
Munsick’s first full-length project released via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records – which he co-produced with Spillman and Robinson – The Mountain Goat arrives on August 21, 2026. Additionally, five D2C fan packs are available to pre-order on his online store, including an exclusive autographed zoetrope vinyl. Pre-order HERE.
Along with co-producing the album, Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.
Munsick promises to deliver fans a memorable tour of the west with a series of shows during album release week. As part of “The Road to The Mountain Goat,” Munsick recently announced his official album release show will be held at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, Utah on August 22 as part of the Deer Valley Concert Series. The Road to The Mountain Goat also includes stops in Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and South Dakota.

About Ian Munsick:
As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick lives in the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever. Marking his first independent album on WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored modern country frontier. Racking up over one billion career streams with previous albums Coyote Cry, White Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among those to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe have found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked. Munsick made history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days – the iconic rodeo known as the “Daddy of ‘Em All” – and with The Mountain Goat, his quest to bring Western mystique to modern fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory.
