Boston alt-rockers BURN KIT releases 'Looking Through The Window At You' single & 'Split' 7" vinyl with Turquoise -

Boston alt-rock outfit Burn Kit presents their new single 'Looking Through The Window At You', a grungewave tune that bonds together influences of alt-rock, post-punk and grunge rock.

Burn Kit is a five-piece band comprised of vocalist Valentino Valpa, guitarist Joshua Sawhill, guitarist Frank Nordaby, drummer Andrew Mattern with bass duties split between Padraic McGuire (touring) and Christopher Belmonte (studio recordings).

Formed in 2024, their music channels a hardcore energy with a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshing. They wasted no time, their first year seeing them complete five tours involving 138 shows in 38 different countries, not to mention the recording of 'Demo Tape', a handful of singles and their most recently-release - their debut 'Fallen Rose' EP.

Apart from being released digitally, 'Looking Through The Window At You' is one side of Burn Kit's new 'Split' 7", a double A-side single with Chicago band Turquoise. Each of these tracks is exclusive to this one-off limited edition black vinyl with 270 copies pressed.

"The song 'Looking Through The Window At You' confronts the always-known locked door that exists within all human minds. The fact that no person truly fully knows one another. There are always things we are thinking, things we won’t say and appearances we keep up admist our automation of modern daily living," says Valentino Valpa.

Turquoise's contribution to this double A-side single is 'Oblivious', a driving indie-punk anthem that channels a 90s alt-rock vibe sprinkled with a Hüsker Dü influence. Effortlessly striking a balance between muscled-up hardcore indebted riffs and soothing, textured melodies, 'Oblivious' appears as the band gears up for an album release. With Burn Kit also approaching their sophomore EP, the stars aligned perfectly to offer these two one-off tracks to their growing audience.

The seed for this 7” release was planted when Turquoise played a Chicago hardcore basement show with Burn Kit vocalist Valentino’s previous project. The two stayed in touch and once Burn Kit formed, this idea could finally become reality. Recorded and mixed in March-April 2025 by Ryan Stack at The Electric Cave in Portsmouth, NH, 'Looking Through The Window At You' was engineered by Marc McElroy and mastered by Dan Coutant at Sunroom Audio in Cornwall, NY.

Burn Kit live shows are known for their intensity and unpredictability. Frontman Valentino Valpa has been known to frequently dive into the crowd, climb various structures (both inside and outside the venue) and even make his way to other buildings in the middle of a song. Whether it’s stretching a 100-foot mic cable to end up on the roof of an adjacent building while still singing, climbing the staging at a Mexican festival, or performing the song from a tree, Valpa's unpredictability has led to many to describe Burn Kit as “something you have to see live to fully experience”.

Accompanied by songs that invite both catharsis and chaos, this unique bond of energy and mutual understanding with the audience has led Burn Kit to unite a tight-knit group of friends and fans in DIY scenes across the world. Creating an experience that cannot be conveyed via the internet, they remind listeners of our true human nature and the importance of connecting with one another.

As of August 12, the 'Split' 7" can be ordered on vinyl via Bandcamp. 'Looking Through The Window At You' itself can also be found there digitally, as well as other music platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Burn Kit is touring the USA in September and touring Europe to the end of the year.

PARADISE LOST DELIVERS GOTH METAL MASTERPIECE 'TYRANTS SERENADE'

Legends of doom, PARADISE LOST have debuted their riveting 3rd single ‘Tyrants Serenade,’ a 4+ minute goth metal opus of epic proportions and bleak new staple in the band’s celebrated catalog. The standout track is found on their eagerly awaited album Ascension, out September 19th from Nuclear Blast Records.

Giving context to the song, vocalist Nick Holmes says:

"Observing the death of an individual, and subsequently, how the transition of seasons evokes fond memories. The God of Malevolence serves as an internal voice to dismantle those cherished memories and reintroduces the initial anguish of loss."

On one of their boldest singles to date, PARADISE LOST meld crunchy riffs and soaring guitar melodies with juxtaposing anthemic clean and harsh vocals. The memorable new track is accompanied by a stunning video directed by longtime collaborator Ash Pears (HOST, BLOODBATH, KATATONIA).

In celebration of the new album, PARADISE LOST has also announced a handful of intimate signing sessions and a record release show in Leeds, UK. Tickets are available now at https://tix.to/Ascension.

‘TYRANTS SERENADE’ MUSIC VIDEO BELOW.

PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s critically acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory. Ascension is a testament to the band’s longevity and relevance over their 35+ year career, encompassing their signature styles of gothic, death and doom fans have cherished along the way.

Ascension’s album cover fittingly features the painting The Court of Death (1870-1902) by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts, which hangs in the Tate Gallery in London. The painting depicts Death as an enthroned angel flanked by allegorical figures of Silence and Mystery guarding sunrise and the star of hope, while a warrior surrenders his sword and a duke his coronet, showing that worldly status offers no protection. The painting’s bleak, prophetic vision embodies Ascension’s dark, tormented soundscapes as mournful verses collide with dire, foreboding riffs.

Commenting on the record, Holmes states:

"Ascension is a cavalcade of molten misery, a vigorous sorrow filled stroll through a wicked world of glorious triumph and pitiful tragedy."

PARADISE LOST will embark on the first leg of the “Ascension of Europe” tour this fall. Tickets are available at https://paradiselost.co.uk/tour-dates/.

About PARADISE LOST:

More than three decades into their career, and with over two million albums sold, PARADISE LOST remain the undisputed kings of metal’s dark side. Formed in Halifax in 1988, the band quickly became noted as the pioneers of gothic metal through their early groundbreaking albums like 1991’s aptly-titled Gothic, a mixture of heaviness intertwined with shadowy melody and atmosphere.

Never a group to remain creatively static, across their career they’ve explored a myriad of avenues of dark music, from sludgy doom-death roots, to conquering the metal mainstream with the enormous, lush sounds of 1995’s Draconian Times, to more experimental, electronic leanings, leaving an influence on a trail of artists as varied as CRADLE OF FILTH, HIM, GATECREEPER and CHELSEA WOLFE.

Now, in 2025, the Yorkshire quintet return with their staggering 17th album, Ascension, a record that sees their crown continue to gleam as it underlines just how they attained their position. Produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh at Black Planet studios in East Yorkshire, with drums and vocals captured at NBS and Wasteland studios in Sweden, its 10 tracks traverse the multitude of sounds in the band’s arsenal, from full-bore heavy metal to sky-high melody, all the while keeping a minor-key melancholy that remains irresistible.

Blackened Death Metal act THE NOCTAMBULANT Unveil "Hell Ride - The Second Death"

Drawing from the raw bloodlines of blues, rockabilly, goth rock, and American country, Florida's THE NOCTAMBULANT throw open the doors to the void in their new single "Hell Ride - The Second Death". Following their 2021 release “Hellrazor” and European tour with HATE and VADER, THE NOCTAMBULANT return having solidified their distinctive approach.

Smoke and fire choke the air as an unnamed preacher leads his flock—not to redemption, but into the jaws of the abyss. In "Hell Ride - The Second Death" Hammond organs shriek like wounded spirits, sermons curdle into threats, and guitars hammer the final nails into coffins of false hope. Here, salvation is a lie and belief is a death sentence.

Watch the video Below.

About THE NOCTAMBULANT:
In 2013, THE NOCTAMBULANT formed in Jacksonville, Florida, with a mission to spread the culture of Southern Appalachia through their unique interpretation of black metal. Merging the genre’s primal aggression with the crushing weight of blackened death metal and the haunting atmospherics of Southern Gothic, they sought to honor the myths, spirits, and eerie folklore of the region.

Founded by E. Helvete (Guitars, Vocals) and D. Franseth (Drums) following the breakup of their psychobilly band, THE NOCTAMBULANT emerged as they delved into the darker realms of black metal. With the addition of Lars Goerschafft (Bass) and, later, Rev Beaumont (Guitar), the band fully embraced a sound that merges relentless intensity with ghostly Appalachian storytelling, crafting an auditory spell of sorrow, brutality, and mysticism.

Their music weaves a sonic tapestry of feral blackened riffs, ominous melodies, and immersive soundscapes steeped in spectral Appalachian lore. Drawing inspiration from metal legends such as VENOM, CELTIC FROST, BATHORY, and DARK FUNERAL, THE NOCTAMBULANT channels both ferocity and haunting atmosphere, merging the unrelenting force of extreme metal with the ghostly echoes of ancient myths and the desolation of the Southern Gothic landscape. Their next album is set to emerge in 2026.

THE NOCTAMBULANT is:
E. Helvete - Guitars/Vocals
D. Franseth - Drums
Lars G - Bass
Rev. Beaumont - Lead Guitar

CORONER Announces New Album 'Dissonance Theory,' Unleashes Music Video for First Single, "Renewal"

After more than three decades, Swiss technical thrash pioneer CORONER will be releasing a long-anticipated studio album, 'Dissonance Theory,' on October 17, 2025 via Century Media Records! Pre-orders are now live HERE.

To celebrate the forthcoming opus, the band is now unleashing the ferocious first single, "Renewal," along with a music video! The clip was directed by Dariusz Szermanowicz and can be found below.

Coroner’s guitarist, songwriter, and producer Tommy Vetterli comments on the new music, “I thought a lot about what Coroner should sound like today, but I pretty quickly realized that looking backwards wouldn’t serve us. Of course, over time you develop a certain signature as a musician. So even if the material is new, it might still feel like a bridge to earlier phases - simply because it’s me writing it.

"That said, we didn’t set out to continue a legacy. We just wanted to create something honest and grounded in the present. ‘Renewal’ now opens the chapter for what became the first Coroner album I’m fully satisfied with, start to finish. So we’ll let the music speak for itself - you’ll know if it speaks to you.”

'Dissonance Theory' contains ten new songs across 47 minutes, recorded by Tommy Vetterli at New Sound Studios in Switzerland and mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden (Opeth, Kreator, Amon Amarth, etc.).

The album cover artwork was created by Stefan Thanneur.

'Dissonance Theory,' in totality, is rich in sonic detail, a stereophile’s delight. Part of that can be attributed to the expert mixing/mastering by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. But the production, arrangement and soundscape details are largely the work of Vetterli and a longtime creative partner at his own New Sound studio. Vetterli notes, “At some point, I felt something was missing — a kind of creative counterweight. Someone to reflect things back with a fresh, critical ear. That’s when I brought in a longtime collaborator I’ve worked with for years at my studio. He helped push things into new territory and gave me the clarity and momentum Dissonance Theory needed to move forward. We made a point throughout the production to record as many authentic, organic sounds as possible. The studio was packed with tube amps, analog synths, and vintage instruments — including a harmonium and a grand piano — and we put them all to good use. We've worked together on many other productions, so the trust was already there. We get into that whole collaboration — and how it evolved — more deeply in the CD mediabook edition.”

Coroner are offering a work that proves they know themselves and what their band should sound like. No Coroner fan could possibly be disappointed in Dissonance Theory. It’s like a massive bonus from a band we all thought had spent their creative energies decades ago. “They don’t make albums like this anymore”. Ever heard that one? Coroner proves they were not only always in metal’s top tier, but that anything less than a ferocious return such as this would never have been the Coroner way.

Lineup:

Ron Royce - Bass/vocals

Tommy T. Baron - Guitars

Diego Rappachietti - Drums

Recording: Tommy Vetterli at New Sound Studios in Switzerland

Mixing + Mastering: Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden

Disciples of Verity Release New Single "In My Eyes" + Lyric Video via TLG|ZOID

Disciples of Verity, fronted by the iconic singer Corey Glover of Living Colour, have unleashed their brand-new single, “In My Eyes,” along with an accompanying lyric video. The track is available now via TLG | ZOID, with distribution through Virgin Music Group.

The track is the latest preview from their highly anticipated sophomore album, NEXUS, produced by George Pond and co-produced by Sahaj Ticotin (RA).

Corey Pierce states, “'In My Eyes' is a song about the ways our personal and shared perspectives shape how we interpret life’s daily struggles—both the ones we face now and the ones we hope to avoid in the future. It speaks to the deeply personal battles we experience, the hopes we hold for ourselves and our loved ones, and the vision of a better future we long to see realized. At its core, the song is about finding unity, empathy, and closure by learning to see the world through the eyes of others. 'In my eyes' is a way of illustrating our need for partnership and community through shared experiences.”

"In My Eyes" is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the accompanying lyric video can be viewed below

Fueled by an insatiable urge to create and collaborate, this heavy metal incarnation seeks to challenge all that they believe to be true with their project, Disciples of Verity (DOV). The band features heavy-hitters such as Corey Glover (Living Colour), Corey Pierce (God Forbid), George Pond (Negative Sky, Swim The Current), Mark Monjoy (Sekond Skyn), and Zack Miranowic (Sekond Skyn, Riversend). This all-star band unleashes an onslaught to the senses with a new sound that can only be described as “a new breed of crossover Metal.”

The band formed just over four years ago after mutual projects brought the five members together. With Pond as the common denominator, having played with each of these artists throughout his career, his songs with Corey Glover were quickly embraced by the others, which evolved into their debut album, Pragmatic Sanction.

Over the next eight months, DOV feverishly cranked out eight heavy, hook-laden songs with one distinct element—their infectious, melodic grooves. Ranging from Hardcore, Metalcore and even Active Rock, the band knew that their debut would be like nothing else in the industry and brought in a veritable “who’s who” of the hard rock and metal industry to up the ante.

Four years have passed since the release of their first single from Pragmatic Sanction. However, now comes the dawn of a new age. They have been quietly working on 12 new tracks for their sophomore album titled NEXUS. The band worked with producer Sahaj Ticcotin, who has worked with Starset, Motley Crue, RA, Bad Wolves, and many more. This monster of a record is set to be released in 2025 through TLG/ZOID, and distributed through Virgin Music Group.

Heavy Act BEAST EAGLE Launch "The Dead Follow"

Taking flight with their new single "The Dead Follow", Nebraska's BEAST EAGLE provide a distortion fueled morsel of their approaching EP Sorceress. Mesmerizing groove riffs and enchanting vocals await in this magical manifestation. The release is set to be unveiled on November 21st, 2025, via Golden Robot Records.

The band comments on "The Dead Follow"

"'The Dead Follow' crashes open with thunderous riffs and a restless pulse, telling the story of a witch awakening to her power just as the world around her begins to unravel. As spells come easier and fire dances at her fingertips, everything she once knew feels distant—twisted, unfamiliar. The track channels that disorientation into raw, driving energy, blending mysticism with rebellion. It’s a gritty anthem for anyone who’s ever grown into something stronger and stranger than the world was ready for."

With III – Candles & Beginnings, AURI once again open a portal to an otherworldly soundscape where folk, progressive rock, symphonic textures, world music, pop, and avant-garde elements entwine. At the heart of the album lies Kurkela’s ethereal voice, soaring across lush sonic landscapes crafted by Holopainen’s emotive keyboard playing and Donockley’s eclectic instrumentation.

LORNA SHORE’s “Prison Of Flesh” Single & Music Video Out Today, From New Album ”I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me” Coming Sept 12;

Lorna Shore’s latest single “Prison Of Flesh” (out today) is one of the metal band’s heaviest to date, fueled by vocalist/lyricist Will Ramos’ raw feelings about his family’s history with dementia and the toll it takes on the person and those around them. See the explosive music video for the track, directed by David Brodsky (My Good Eye: Music Visuals), Below.

Says Ramos of the deeply personal new track, “This song is exactly what I imagine a lot of people expected of us to put out. We took all the heaviest stuff we had to create this incredibly dark, high-stress/tension song. I personally think the breakdown at the end of this is one of my favorites that we’ve ever written and I’m excited to see how people engage with this one.”

Ramos adds, “The lyrics for this song are about my family and our history of dementia. The idea that the world is falling apart, and about the fear of losing touch with reality. ‘They’re coming to get me’ is my way of personifying ‘demons’ or something that makes you feel like you’re losing pieces of yourself. The closer they get, the further detached you become until you’re nothing but a husk of fear and delusion.”

“Prison Of Flesh” follows the release of “Oblivion” and “Unbreakable,” all hailing from the band’s upcoming album I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, out September 12 via Century Media Records. As Lorna Shore’s fifth album and the first in three years since 2022’s explosive Pain Remains, it continues the band’s reputation as one of the most impressive extreme metal acts to emerge in recent memory.

The quintet, also including lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor and bassist Michael Yager, have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, Lorna Shore have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.

I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me will be available in multiple formats including digital, CD and limited-edition vinyl variants. Fans can pre-save the album HERE and find their preferred physical and digital retailer HERE. There’s also a brand-new merch collection, available HERE.

Lorna Shore will bring tracks from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me and other hits on the road beginning September 17, joined by The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow Of Intent and PeelingFlesh in a tour produced by Live Nation. Tickets are on sale now.

Hunter Oliveri Shares Visualizer for New Single "Make U Cry"

Hunter Oliveri, the Gen Alpha talent who has been steadily buzzing and creating a name for himself since his early teen years, will release his debut album TEEN SLUG on September 19 via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here

Today, he drops the visualizer for "Make U Cry."

Watch it below

The song is, in its simplest form, about the dish best served cold — revenge.

Oliveri, whose early single "Kids" was tipped by Pigeons + Planes, crafts songs that channel the alternative and grunge blueprint of his musical heroes — like Chris Cornell and Soundgarden, Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins — imbued with the playful opaqueness of Kurt Cobain's lyricism and the easy slacker hooks of Weezer. His music speaks to the messiness of growing up. It sounds exactly like that, too. He simply writes what he knows.

There are songs about partying too hard and songs about loving too much; songs about last night's headrush highs and the morning-after's anxious comedown. There are songs for when you seek the comfort of relatability, and there are songs for when you want to simply say "fuck it all." They are the product of the humble authenticity of someone who's grown up in a place no different to a million others the world over. Most have never heard of Paso Robles, CA, and might never again. There's sunshine, strip malls, and vineyards that outnumber venues 10 to 1, where the nearby underground music scene of San Luis Obispo a few miles down the road is more accessible than anything resembling the bright lights of L.A. two hours to the south or San Francisco up north. "It's a boring city, but we make the most of it," Oliveri shrugs. "We'll go skating, or hang out and smoke. And anyway, it's fun to go moshing in someone's basement."

It's no surprise, then, that Oliveri is used to creating more interesting scenes than those that existed outside his window. As a kid, he would do so in the stories he dreamt up in his bedroom. "I like writing stories about worlds I'd want to live in," he says, "which made my own world seem so much bigger."

Such creativity inevitably morphed into songwriting in his early teenage years — though music had long since embedded itself within him. "I was probably four years old when I first heard 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' around my parents’ house," he recalls of music's omnipresence in his life. "I never knew the name of the song but every time I heard it, I'd be like, shit, it's that song. It would give me this majestic feeling." He laughs that his mom holds a video recording of her son gamely plucking through a rendition of a Metallica song (it was the epic "One") at his Kindergarten graduation performance. His dad — an avid fan of Korn and Tool — meanwhile tells him that his parents met at Woodstock; not the peace-and-love of Woodstock '69, but, more aptly, the confusion-and-chaos of Woodstock '99.

A chance meeting at age 14 with a local producer's father while in a coffee shop with his grandpa was the first domino to fall in Oliveri's music story. The rest is a history still to be written. "I've been so incredibly lucky, but I've manifested this, too," he says. "I've always known writing music would be my life. I just had to make it happen. It was hard to find kids around my city that played instruments and wanted to be in a band, but I've been writing songs every day in my bedroom since I was maybe 13 years old. It takes me to a different place."

"I want to bring people into my world through my music," he adds. "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, and to relate to me, and for me to be a friend and an outlet for them."

He's figuring the rest out as he goes... so come along for the ride!

Blackened Speed Metallers SADISTIC FORCE Premiere NSFW Video for Ferocious New Single "Portrait of Torment"

Austin, Texas-based blackened speed metal unit SADISTIC FORCE are proud to release their ferocious new single "Portrait of Torment" taken from their upcoming EP, 'Morbid Odyssey,' due out August 22nd. The brutal new NSFW video below!

"Portrait of Torment" features a synth intro and guitar solo by Mark Pursino of Electrocutioner and arrives alongside a full narrative NSFW music video premiering on Metal Sucks featuring Indira Starr (Minnie's Midnight Massacre) and was shot by Pennyrock Productions (Bloody & Bruised), available to view below.

SADISTIC FORCE comments on the single:

"The synth intro to ‘Portrait Of Torment’ and the guitar solo were both performed by Mark Pursino from NYC thrash trio Electrocutioner. He based the feel of his contributions off the lyrics, which portray the twisted thoughts of a serial killer who believes that his victim’s mangled bodies are his canvas and he is an artist who creates beauty through murder. In typical SADISTIC FORCE fashion, the song draws from a wide array of riff driven influences, from black metal to classic rock."

Mark Pursino comments on his contribution:

"James asked me to do a solo for 'Portrait of Torment' and simply told me, ‘The lyric right before the solo section is 'Crescendo of blood I must create.’ Then he said if I felt inspired by it, he wouldn't mind a synth intro either. We did the synth intro on 'Midnight Assassin' and I loved the idea of keeping that thread going with the synth. After reading the lyrics and hearing the demo, it reminded me of the novel Perfume, where a man with a supernatural sense of scent ends of murdering a girl who smelled the most beautiful. I just envisioned some distinguished gentleman chopping up some wonderful ladies and the synth intro is my imagining of what he listens to while he dissects them. I combined a mysterious arpeggio with some type of respirator/breathing tube sound effect to make it feel a inhuman and disconnected. The solo actually came to me pretty fast. There's a few changes in rhythm underneath it so I wanted to have different voices.”

'Morbid Odyssey' is SADISTIC FORCE's most refined and punishing work yet. Mixed and mastered by Noah Buchanan (Nunslaughter, Midnight) at Mercenary Studios, the five-track EP showcases SADISTIC FORCE at their most ferocious and focused. Featuring blistering guest solos from Matteo Von Bewitcher (Bewitcher), Tony Rot, and Mark Pursino (Electrocutioner), the EP stands as a testament to their deep roots in traditional heavy metal, thrash, and extreme metal brutality.

Thematically, 'Morbid Odyssey' plunges into psychedelic necromancy, artistic serial killers, satanic vengeance, and BDSM-driven nightmares, all set to a backdrop of unrelenting speed and power. From the eerie, drug-fueled visions of the title track to the witch-trial revenge fantasy of "Abnormal Cruelties," the EP burns with dark, cinematic storytelling and a razor-sharp edge.

On the new EP, the band comments:

"SADISTIC FORCE isn’t just another modern metal band—we’re a high-octane resurrection of metal’s golden era, dripping with raw energy, virtuoso musicianship, and a commitment to keeping heavy metal loud, fast, and unapologetically sinister. Our upcoming release, 'Morbid Odyssey,' is our most refined and punishing yet."

With 'Morbid Odyssey,' SADISTIC FORCE is setting their sights on domination—and they're ready to take on any label bold enough to unleash their fury on the world.

SADISTIC FORCE Live:

September 18th - Austin, TX @Valhalla

September 19th - Dallas, TX @Doublewide

September 20th - San Antonio, TX @O'Death Cafe

Meant to be listened to on 8-track in a '75 Camaro while passing a hash pipe and sipping beer from a pull-tab can, SADISTIC FORCE is the band who will restore the adjective "heavy" to metal music. Emerging from the dark heart of Austin, Texas, they deliver a blistering assault of blackened speed metal infused with old-school heavy metal spirit. Led by James Oliver(guitar/vocals), the band channels the raw intensity of classic acts Judas Priest, Motörhead, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal while injecting the relentless aggression of extreme metal.

Formed in late 2020, SADISTIC FORCE began as Oliver's vision of unfiltered, high-energy heavy metal-built on speed, attitude, and a horror-infused aesthetic. What started as a solo project quickly evolved into a full-throttle force of nature, as rock'n'roll bassist Mike Gupta and extreme metal powerhouse drummer JP Campo completed the lineup. The result? A band that seamlessly fuses vintage metal riffs, lightning-fast rhythms, and blackened vocals into a sonic onslaught that's as nostalgic as it is modern.

SADISTIC FORCE are:

James Oliver - Guitar/Vocals

Mike Gupta - Bass

JP Campo - Drums

WOLFHEART Returns With EU Tour and New Single, "Carnivore", Ahead Of EP "Draconian Darkness II"

Finnish melodic death metal titans WOLFHEART return with Draconian Darkness II, an ambitious EP that deepens their frostbitten legacy. Lead single "Carnivore" sets the tone for the EP with menacing riffs and vicious growls, growing in power and grandeur as the track creeps along. Vocalist Tuomas Saukkonen comments, "Carnivore continues where 'Draconian Darkness' ended. Clearly, the full-length was not enough to extinguish the flame of inspiration ignited by the darker side of humanity. Instead of seeking balance and harmony with nature and other species around us, we feed and feast on the world we live in. Consume more than is our share. Where nature brings harmony, we bring the fire and darkness. Also musically, "Carnivore" is heavily drawn into the darker and more majestic side of Wolfheart."

Watch the video Below.

This five-track release showcases every facet of WOLFHEART’s trademark sound: raw, poetic, and powerfully atmospheric. Featuring two new tracks (including orchestral and acoustic versions), plus a crushing live rendition from their latest album, Draconian Darkness II captures the band’s cold grandeur in both studio precision and on-stage intensity. Founder Tuomas Saukkonen continues to refine his vision with haunting melodies, relentless drumming, and evocative storytelling rooted in Northern landscapes. Draconian Darkness II is a journey through desolate beauty, bleak emotion, and thundering metal.

Draconian Darkness II is WOLFHEART at their best: melancholic, massive, and deeply melodic. With new songs, orchestral depth, and raw live energy, this EP is a cold flame burning bright in the dark.

WOLFHEART’s Draconian Darkness II EP arrives on September 19, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music! Two new tracks (plus orchestral & acoustic versions) and a live cut of crushing northern metal: cold, poetic, and unforgettable.

Ray Hawthorne & Oliver vs. Godzilla-Sized Elmo + New Album Out Today!

Pop punk disruptor, Ray Hawthorne, has officially released his sophomore record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" today, paired alongside an epic animated video for one of the album's standout tracks, "The Reel You". Fans can listen to the album HERE and watch the brand new video below.

In the brand new video for "The Reel You", Ray Hawthorne and his real-life dog, Oliver, trade guitars for capes, transforming into animated superheroes locked in a battle against a towering, Godzilla-sized Elmo. It's absurd, action-packed, and exactly the kind of chaotic fun that fans have come to expect from Hawthorne.

Blending heartbreak, sarcasm, and just the right amount of emotional stability, this record marks a new chapter for Ray Hawthorne. Where debut album and his firstborn, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", leaned into earnest DIY vulnerability, his latest record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real", takes a turn and taps into the restless defiance of a secondborn. Across 15 brand new tracks, Hawthorne delivers emotional candor that perfectly captures what it feels like to scream into the void, only to realize the void is singing back.

Fresh off singles that blurred the lines between self-deprecation and self-destruction, including the biting, "And the Horse You Rode in On", the pop-punk firebrand doubles down on identity crises, burned bridges, late night regrets, and the very real possibility that Ray Hawthorne is just a guy screaming into the ether (and somehow making it sound catchy). Loud, petty, and deeply cathartic, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" cements Hawthorne's place as one of the most unapologetically honest voices modern pop-punk.

Somewhere between saving the city from a Godzilla-sized Elmo and making sure Oliver's cape stayed on straight, Ray Hawthorne took a breather to share:

"You know what? Sometimes I just wanna be messy. I wanna lay out all of my biggest regrets in overly distorted ways that make my throat hurt. I wanna be so fucking real about what I’m feeling that it’s almost off putting. Like “Trauma Dump - The Album”. But I also just wanna play Yu-Gi-Oh and hang out with my dog. So I’m trying to find a middle ground. I’m sure the next album will be cleaner and prettier, maybe a little less chaotic. But this shit is messy, distorted, chaos, and I think I really needed it to be that way.

Renowned for his work in North Kingsley, the acclaimed project alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Hawthorne initially captured hearts as the Heartbreak Hero with his inaugural solo release "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This". Building on his solo work, his debut record "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" further cemented his status as a bold new voice in pop punk, quickly amassing a devoted following and over 15 million streams across all streaming platforms for his magnetic charm and razor-sharp wit.

Picking up where his debut record, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", left off, his sophomore record captures the raw energy of late-night confessionals and the polished punch of modern pop punk. "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" is an invitation to embrace the chaos, laugh at the pain, and maybe, just maybe, find a little redemption along the way.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Ray Hawthorne news coming very soon.

ABOUT RAY HAWTHORNE

Do you remember that episode of Degrassi where Ashley really wants Craig to tell her he loves her, but Craig gets all panicked and can’t tell her that he does? It causes so much drama in their relationship. She begins to question her feelings for him and because of that, he becomes seemingly unsure of his feelings for her. So, in an effort to quell the bad vibes, Craig writes a song that includes lyrics IMPLICITLY AND EXPLICITLY stating that he loves her. (Total banger by the way, the only song of his I like better is the one he sings at the battle of the bands after the two inevitably break up, it’s also about Ashley. I believe it’s called ‘What I Know’) Anyway, Craig was only able to admit he loved Ashley in song form, but you as the viewer are left wondering ‘Does he really love her, or was this just his solution to end the drama?’ Or, ’Is this truly the only way he can express himself because he’s kind of nervous about speaking his true feelings outside of the structured environment of a song?’. I tend to believe it’s a mixture of both. So what I’m trying to say is, this collection of songs is kind of like that. I always feel like I have so much to say but often feel a bit too vulnerable when discussing my actual feelings. So for the majority of my life, I’ve just written them into songs instead. These songs can be quite vulnerable even if they seem silly at times. So now you’re left to wonder... am I telling the truth or just trying to get rid of Ashley’s bad vibes?

How Stoned Jesus Wrote "Shadowland"

Stoned Jesus have already made their mark as true trailblazers, but with their new album, these pilgrims of heavy progressive rock are embarking on their most expansive journey yet. The lead single from Songs to Sun opens with one of the band's doomiest riffs. Though as revealed by frontman Igor Sydorenko, "Shadowland" gleams with surprising twists and hidden hooks.

Today, Igor is releasing a new video that shows how to play and how he wrote "Shadowland". By taking a microdose of "big dumb riffs", inspiration from Prince to Slipknot, and a page out of their own songbook, the band wound up with a mesmerizing chorus that fans will be shouting ahead of their upcoming shows across Europe, Australia and Latin America.

Watch Igor Sydorenko explain how to play and how he wrote "Shadowland" below.

Songs to Sun is the first album in a forthcoming trilogy that once complete, will stand as the pinnacle of what's been a decades-long trip for Stoned Jesus. While picking up where the band's last album Father Light left off, Sydorenko and his new mates still nod to their earlyclassics Seven Thunders Roar and The Harvest. But by merging metal's fiery intensity with mind-melting grooves, vintage prog and their catchiest choruses yet, they bring the many distinct phases of Stoned Jesus to a bright, burning head.

ELECTROMANCY Releases “Nonlinear Healing," A 10-Minute Journey Through Grief, Hope, and Persistence

Experimental extreme metal innovators ELECTROMANCY have released their latest single, “Nonlinear Healing,” along with a visually striking music video, ahead of the upcoming sophomore album Visions of Utopia, out September 10, 2025.

The track’s title reflects its emotional and thematic depth; the battle for physical and mental health is rarely a straight path. As frontwoman and band founder Steph Tranovich explains, “The only thing worse than getting sick is getting sick again. This song is about grief, but also about the will to persevere even when we’ve returned to our lowest.”

Musically, “Nonlinear Healing” is the most black metal–infused cut on Visions of Utopia, driven by tremolo-picked riffs, blast beats, shrill vocals, and intricate open arpeggios. Beneath its chaos, a powerful low guitar tone adds doomy heaviness, while call-and-response vocals between Tranovich and Shaun Gallagher push the emotional intensity to its peak, culminating in an unhinged yet perfectly in-time spoken-word metal climax that sends shivers down the spine.

Visions of Utopia follows ELECTROMANCY’s groundbreaking debut Technopagan, which introduced audiences to Tranovich’s DIY robotic instruments, a necessity after chronic illness and nerve damage made traditional playing impossible. Where Technopagan was steeped in chaos and grief, the new album takes listeners on a hero’s journey from hope, through despair, to hard-won joy, blending black, death, and doom metal with progressive flourishes. Pre-orders are available here: https://www.robotmetalband.com/

About ELECTROMANCY:

Forged at the intersection of grief, resilience, and radical creativity, ELECTROMANCY is a boundary-defying black/doom/death metal duo from the Bay Area blending blistering sonic chaos with DIY robotics and raw human emotion. Formed in June 2019 by composer and vocalist Steph Tranovich (they/them), alongside co-vocalist Shaun Gallagher (he/him), ELECTROMANCY uses custom-built robotic instruments as a form of assistive technology—enabling Steph to continue making music despite their chronic illness. Their discography, spanning from the brutal Technopagan to the emotionally complex Visions of Utopia, chronicles Steph’s journey through disability and healing, channeling pain, perseverance, and moments of cathartic joy. With influences like THOU, MESHUGGAH, and LITURGY, the band fuses intricate polyrhythms with avant-garde metal, while exploring themes of queer identity, grief, and radical strength. Their live shows are visceral, theatrical experiences—robot guitars and LED-lit mannequins sharing the stage with two unapologetically human voices. ELECTROMANCY isn’t just for metal fans—it’s for anyone searching for something different, something real, and something powerful.

ELECTROMANCY is:

  • Steph Tranovich (they/them) - composition, robotics, vocals

  • Shaun Gallagher (he/him) - vocals

Chase Atlantic (Over 8B Streams!) Share New Single "FACEDOWN"

Globally acclaimed and genre-bending trio Chase Atlantic — comprised of Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony — have built their reputation by crafting an unpredictable fusion of pop, rock, and R&B. They push creative boundaries while always remaining true to their core sound and that's one of the reasons they have connected so deeply with their fans and have accumulated over 8 billion streams along the way.

Today, Chase Atlantic have shared the brand new anthem "FACEDOWN."

Watch the lyric video below.

The track adheres to the sonic signatures that have helped the band to accrue a dedicated legion of diehard Gen Alpha fans. Dark, deeply personal lyrics that aren't afraid of being self-aware are encased in the band's potent dreamy melody and a woozy break beat. It's an atmospheric and thoroughly chill alt pop jam that sounds best with the volume all the way up and the lights all the way down. Just lean back and let the wave of beats crash over you and elevate your mind.

"In a few words, the track is this hyper realistic deep dive — detailing the chaotic aspects of mental health and inner struggles. It delves into chemical imbalance and this fear of quite literally drowning in a bottomless pool of emotions. It's raw, intense, and comes straight from the heart," shares Mitchel Cave.

"FACEDOWN" is the perfect extension of the band's recently released fourth album LOST IN HEAVEN, which is out now via Fearless Records.

ABOUT CHASE ATLANTIC:
Describing Chase Atlantic's sound as of their fourth full-length, LOST IN HEAVEN, is simultaneously simple and impossible. The Australian-born, Los Angeles-based trio is immediately identifiable, yet incredibly difficult to put a title or genre on either their sound or the audience that adores them. They fit in just as well playing massive pop festivals as they do touring with rock bands. Armed with an array of hits across a multitude of genres, Chase Atlantic has picked up one of the widest-ranging fan bases in all of music, earning them more than 8.1 billion streams and 1.2 billion YouTube views.

Sons of Habit Signs with WME for Global Representation; New Single “Fools Gold” Out Now

Rising indie folk band Sons of Habit has signed with WME, the world’s leading entertainment agency, for exclusive global representation across all areas.

Formed just a year ago in the small community of Habit, KY, Sons of Habit brings together lead singer Mitchell Douglas, writing partner Hagan Edge and bandmates Dalton Daniels, Jeffrey Parish and Noah Patrick – all childhood friends from Owensboro, KY. The group’s name comes from the trailer in Habit where they first began making music, blending country grit, rock edge and heartfelt storytelling into a sound all their own.

“Sons of Habit’s authenticity, musicianship and undeniable chemistry make them one of the most exciting new acts on the scene,” says WME’s Adam Fisher. “We’re thrilled to welcome them to WME and look forward to helping them bring their music to audiences worldwide.”

“We’ve been chasing this dream since those first nights in the trailer back in Habit, Kentucky,” says Sons of Habit. “To have WME in our corner means we can take the music we love to even more people, in more places, than we ever imagined. This is just the beginning.”

Last week, the band released “Fool’s Gold,” a brand new song written by band members Dalton Daniels, Hagan Edge and Mitchell Douglas. The new song comes on the heels of their debut EP, Nostalgia, which was released earlier this year. Fans can hear the music and more as the band continues their A Long Way From Corydon Tour. Since their first single “Madeline,” Sons of Habit has earned millions of streams, played headline shows nationwide and shared stages with Ole 60, Shane Smith & The Saints, The Revivalists and Dustin Lynch.
