TUNGSTEN Unveil Music Video For Touching Stand-Alone Single "Cry For The Fallen"

Swedish melodic metal powerhouse TUNGSTEN is currently dedusting their gear to prepare for this year’s summer live activities. Presenting The Grand Inferno (Reigning Phoenix Music), the band is proud to surprise fans with an unheard track from the recording sessions of their most recent album to short the wait until their return to the stages. "Cry For The Fallen" starts on a fragile note with strings before its intense story resonates -  emotionally intonated by lead vocalist Mike Andersson. The 4-minute track continues building up while a flute wanders the melodic lands of folk, representing the wide range of influences defining TUNGSTEN’s soundscape. Ultimately going ballistic in the form of an epic final chorus, "Cry For The Fallen" concludes on its peak and recalls the quartet’s fine sense for crafting emotive yet highly powerful music once again.

TUNGSTEN state: “Originally, this song was meant to be included on “The Grand Inferno,” but after discussing it, we decided to save it for a separate release. We wanted to give it the spotlight it deserves and make it truly special. The track is both dynamic and emotionally powerful. We filmed the music video in a beautiful church in Southern Sweden, a setting that we felt perfectly matches the song’s atmosphere and message. Lyrically, ‘Cry For The Fallen’ is a tribute to our loved ones who have passed away - an emotional remembrance of family and friends no longer with us. This is a song to remember - and to be played loud!”

ALIEN WEAPONRY & Lamb of God's Randy Blythe Fight the System in New Music Video for "Taniwha"

New Zealand's ALIEN WEAPONRY recently released their head-turning third album, Te Rā, via Napalm Records! Today, swiftly following the announcement of their upcoming USA tour supporting Avatar with fellow openers SpiritWorld, the band has dropped a brand new music video for album single “Taniwha”, featuring an intense guest appearance from metal icon Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God).

In the video, the modern groove metal trio find themselves face to face with puppet masters of corporate greed and overconsumption, providing a thought-provoking backdrop to one of the album's most aggressive, death-metal leaning offerings.

Watch the video below, and make sure to check out the band's upcoming USA tour dates, starting November 5, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ!

ALIEN WEAPONRY says about the “Taniwha” video:

"We are super excited to share something we have been working on for a while.

We felt honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with the mighty Randy Blythe on our song 'Taniwha' off of our latest album, so it only made sense to have him be a part of the music video too!

We wanted to create something special for this one, and we are stoked with how it turned out!"

Order Te Rā HERE:

ALIEN WEAPONRY have solidified themselves as one of the greatest young metal bands of their generation with renewed musical tenacity and crucial messaging. Since releasing their acclaimed debut(2018), the band have been lauded for their kinetic presence and sound, as well as their vital blend of culturally profound lyricism in both English and te reo Māori, the indigenous language of New Zealand.

With their third full-length album, ALIEN WEAPONRY expand on their hallmark messages of cultural, societal and environmental resilience while delivering their most massive-sounding, focused musical output ever. In the hands of veteran producer/mixer Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God, Gojira, Megadeth), Te Rā’s gnashing blend of groove, nu, math and thrash metal shines with anthemic choruses and refreshed technical skill. Te Rā is a bold, unwavering cry for a future in which we can all take part in the legacy of peoples like the Māori and others all around us – people who, if they aren’t seen, most certainly need to be heard! Taken as a whole, Te Rā grapples with what it’s like to be caught in the pull of divergent cultures – not just for the descendants of colonized people, but for all of us.

OF THE FALLEN UNLEASHES APOCALYPTIC NEW SINGLE “SYNTHETIC ENSLAVEMENT”

"SYNTHETIC ENSLAVEMENT" is a powerful exploration of addiction, capturing the intense emotional and psychological battles we’ve experienced firsthand or witnessed in those close to us. It confronts the suffocating feeling of being trapped within one's own destructive patterns, emphasizing the critical role of personal accountability in breaking free. Originally crafted by a former bandmate during a difficult period marked by their own inner demons, the song stands as an authentic, heartfelt testament to their ongoing fight at the time of their departure. Through raw honesty,

OF THE FALLEN channels this deeply personal struggle into a message of solidarity and hope for all facing similar trials.

BIO:

Emerging fiercely from Houston's relentless underground, OF THE FALLEN is redefining deathcore with brutal honesty and sonic ferocity. Comprised of Wayne Ortiz, Alexis Ramon Nino, Waylon Murphree, and their newest vocal powerhouse Jacob Cormier, the band has quickly cemented themselves as unapologetic storytellers of the raw and unspoken battles within.

Following the explosive reception of their recent single "Counterfeit//Skin," a harrowing exploration of body dysphoria, OF THE FALLEN returns even more boldly with their next crushing release, "SYNTHETIC ENSLAVEMENT." Diving headfirst into the dark waters of addiction, this track channels personal anguish and universal struggles into a relentless auditory assault that simultaneously unsettles and uplifts.

With razor-sharp riffs, merciless breakdowns, and a lyrical depth that hits uncomfortably close to home, "SYNTHETIC ENSLAVEMENT" serves as the second gut-punching installment in their highly anticipated concept EP, which fearlessly tackles critical mental health battles including PTSD, anxiety, depression, body dysphoria, and addiction.

OF THE FALLEN doesn't just play music—they wage war against stigma, inviting listeners into an uncompromising journey of resilience and solidarity. Brace yourself—this is deathcore at its most authentic and visceral.

Replaced by Robots presents thriller single 'Since You Broke My Ouija Board'

New Hampshire indie rock outfit Replaced by Robots presents 'Since You Broke My Ouija Board', a haunted love story where heartbreak crosses over to the other side. The final audio-visual gem showcasing their powerful debut mini-album 'The Experiment', here we have a surreal blend of eerie visuals, vintage séance aesthetics, and emotional rawness.

The video brings the supernatural fallout of a shattered connection to life. Who knew losing someone could silence the spirits, too? As a bonus, the video begins with 'The Air of Uncertainty', an instrumental interlude - a pause to welcome the spirits.

Replaced By Robots formed as a sound and vision laboratory, where they search through the wreckage and noise of modern life to find unusual combinations and create moments of beauty. Goolkasian (The Elevator Drops, The Texas Governor, Lovesick) and Heather Joy Morgan initially met guitar maestro Adam Wade (Funeral Party, The Uprisers) at a Chameleons UK show they hosted in their living room, a fateful meeting that led to the musical chemistry we know as Replaced by Robots.

"Since you Broke My Ouija Board was a spontaneous expression of grief and longing to connect, for Goolkasian broke my antique oujia board, hurling my spirit telephone into oblivion. And I can't talk to ghosts no more," says Heather Joy Morgan, adding, "Adam Wade really stretches out on guitar and shines on this track"

For this album, they worked with legendary producer Paul Q.Kolderie (Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Throwing Muses, Radiohead) and Josh Hager (Devo, The Elevator Drops), as well as mastering engineer Terry Palmer.

"We got to work with Paul Q. Kolderie, who instinctively did a lot of weird things. He pushed the bass and guitars to the max, giving this record an undeniably glam-era feel and a rhythmic pulse, driving songs like 'All The Lonely Nights'," says Goolkasian.

"We also worked with producer and creative compatriot Josh Hager, who produced 'Are We Falling in Love or Am I Just Losing my Mind?', recalling the Buzzcocks, T-Rex and a million other things but is still, defiantly, its own bird due to the electric and impassioned vocal delivery".

This album indeed feels like a fun experiment, relishing their stature as obsolete bohemians, experimenting and combining our influences until we find something unique and inspiring. The band is clearly enjoying following the creative spirit wherever it leads, from the first surf-inspired drumbeats of 'The Laboratory' to the instantly catchy 3-part vocal harmonies in 'All The Lonely Nights' to the wall of noise on the final track 'Since You Broke My Ouija Board'. It's glam and it's glorious.

Goolkasian explains, "'Laboratory' kicks off with the jangle of a raucous surf guitar and percussive vocals that form a curious rhythm and intermittent wail. It's going to be some kind of party. 'All the Lonely Nights' is an exuberant commercial advert in sparky 3-part harmony for the ennui and sorrow that plagues you up to the very instant that you make a magical connection with the right person. 'Are we Falling in Love or Am I Just Losing My Mind?' is about seeking true love in the dystopian night, a modern world with uncanny robots and fake people. Is it live or is it Memorex?"

Many moons ago, Goolkasian formed The Elevator Drops (Arista / Timebomb) with Devo's Garvy J & Fitts. Their songs 'Elevator to Heaven' and 'Beautiful Junkie' led to touring with Garbage, Pulp, and Echo & The Bunnymen. Leaving that behind in 1999, the early 2000’sbrought new inspiration with Goolkasian now recording as The Texas Governor and touring with pals Future Islands. In the mid-2000’s, Goolkasian & Morgan teamed up with recording engineer Terry Palmer to create “a masterful dream-pop version” of their classic tune 'Beach Foam', inadvertently forming the trio Lovesick.

As of June 3, 'Since You Broke My Ouija Board' is out as a standalone single via Bandcamp.
Replaced By Robots' mini-album 'The Experiment' can also be found on all fine music platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

DREAMS OF GRAY Releases Powerful New Single “A Beginning” With Official Lyric Video

Melodic extreme metal project DREAMS OF GRAY has released its latest single “A Beginning,” the first track from the upcoming EP A Beginning, due out September 5th, 2025. Accompanied by a compelling lyric video, the song is now streaming on all major platforms, offering fans a powerful, emotionally rich glimpse into what’s next for the Chicago-based band.

Driven by a mixture of melody, melancholy, and unflinching heaviness, “A Beginning” captures the emotional heart of DREAMS OF GRAY’s sound. The track flows from introspective clean passages to explosive riffs and layered vocals—ranging from soft-spoken to guttural growls—all while remaining grounded in memorable songwriting. The lyric video, now live on the band’s official YouTube channel, enhances the track’s introspective power, visualizing themes of grief, reflection, and emotional rebirth.

Lyrically, the song poses a deeply human question: when someone we love dies without seeing everything they hoped to see in life, how do those left behind begin to make sense of that loss? It's a meditation on sorrow and survival, carried forward by the unmistakable intensity of Luis Rivera, who handles all vocals and guitars. Rivera, also a practicing Family Medicine Physician, brings a rare emotional intelligence to his songwriting—blending the cerebral with the cathartic.

“A Beginning” also features Nicole Trinchero on drums and Maria Kosma on bass, with mixing, engineering, and mastering handled by Josh Middleton (SYLOSIS, ex-ARCHITECTS), whose production brings clarity and power to every detail. The result is a debut single that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Following the international acclaim of their 2023 EP The World After, DREAMS OF GRAY continues to earn a place among metal’s rising voices—praised for their unique fusion of melodic death, doom, thrash, and classic heavy metal influences. A Beginning promises to further that trajectory with three new tracks that expand on their signature sound while pushing new creative boundaries.

About DREAMS OF GRAY:

DREAMS OF GRAY is the melodic extreme metal project of Chicago-based musician and physician Luis Rivera. Blending elements of melodic death, doom, thrash, and traditional heavy metal, the music is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically intense. Founded in 2022, DREAMS OF GRAY quickly made an impact with the independently released debut EP The World After in 2023, earning critical acclaim across the international metal press.

Known for its compelling fusion of melody and heaviness, DREAMS OF GRAY stands out for intelligent songwriting, deeply human lyricism, and an uncompromising creative vision. Rivera’s music confronts themes of loss, grief, resilience, and existential reflection—delivered through dynamic vocals and powerful, layered instrumentation.

Now joined by a cast of talented collaborators, DREAMS OF GRAY continues to evolve with the upcoming EP A Beginning (2025), a bold and immersive follow-up that further refines the project’s genre-defying sound. Whether you’re drawn to the introspection of OPETH, the melodic fire of IN FLAMES, or the weight of PARADISE LOST, DREAMS OF GRAY offers something uniquely honest and unforgettable in today’s extreme metal landscape.

Kami Kehoe Drops New Single "Dopamine" & Announces EP "Kandy", & Supporting Daughtry This Fall!

Ascending alt-rock talent, Kami Kehoe, has today unveiled her latest single, "Dopamine", alongside the announcement of her upcoming EP, "Kandy" set for release on July 18th, 2025 via Coup D'Etat Recordings and 10K Projects. This forthcoming EP showcases Kehoe's unmistakable voice on a dynamic, modern production that blends gritty rock with a fresh, fearless sense of experimentation. Fans can pre-save "Kandy" HERE.

What began as a handful of cryptic teasers quickly erupted into a fan-fueled phenomenon, as early previews of "Kandy" exploded across social media, racking up more than 7 million views before the first track, "Dopamine" even dropped. The overwhelming response from fans sharing, debating, and rallying behind each new snippet fast-tracked the EP's release date, transforming what could have been a routine rollout into a genuine, fan-powered movement.

Reflecting on the release of "Dopamine" and the announcement on her brand new EP, Kami Kehoe shares:

"I wrote “DOPAMINE” when I was at a pretty low spot in my life, this song really healed something in me and I hope it can do the same for anyone who needs it.

I was going through a break up while writing this EP, each song helped me get through my heartache. I was able to pull from my own experiences from my perspective and there’s. The main concept of this entire EP is that even when something is good or feels good doesn’t always mean it’s good for you. I use a lot of metaphors relating to candy, drugs, and all these “wrong” things that may feel right sometimes and compared it to how I felt with my past relationship. I hope this EP can help anyone who needs it like it did for me."

Amplifying her momentum, Kami Kehoe will be joining renowned rock icons Daughtry, Seether, and POD as the opening act on their highly-anticipated fall US tour. Moving seamlessly between the festival buzz of Warped Tour and arena stages, Kami Kehoe's effortless live presence speaks to her undeniable range and broad appeal. As she nears her largest tour to date, this run marks a significant milestone for the up-and-coming artist as she shares the stage with three of rock's most established acts on a landmark run of shows.

Carving out her own space in the alt-rock world, Kami Kehoe has impressively amassed over 25 million streams and more than 24 million TikTok views by blending a sultry, velvety vocal with a hard-charged rock energy. Since breaking out with the viral hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD”, she has continued to evolve her sound—infusing shoegaze, metal, and hip-hop influences into her music while remaining unapologetically authentic.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Kami Kehoe news coming very soon.

ABOUT KAMI KEHOE

KAMI KEHOE has never been one to sit around and wait for permission. Although she’s only 21, the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and drummer has been blazing her own musical path for the past 15 years, spinning a chameleonic, hard-charged rock sound into 25 million streams and more than 24 million TikTok views.

This unapologetic authenticity propelled her breakout hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD,” from her 2024 album REVIVED (Coup D'état/10K Projects), to audiences around the world in stratospheric fashion. Almost overnight, the garage-punk suckerpunch ripped through social media at lightning speed, netting Kami 100,000 new TikTok followers a day and further cementing her as a rising name in the underground.

Now, that story continues with “SAFEHOUSE,” her brand-new single featuring Colorblind and Ekoh. Written in the aftermath of the Los Angeles fires, the track combines droning shoegaze, Deftones-style riffs and propulsive electronic undertones into a hypnotic blend of metal, alternative and hip-hop. It’s another bold step forward for Kami as she continues to kick down the guardrails of her sound – as well as another entry in her omnipresent push to Kure The World, a mantra proudly emblazoned on her bass drum and a mission statement that’s powered her songwriting since day one. “If I can change one person’s life through my music, then I’ve reached my goal,” she says proudly. “I make music for me; I release music for others.”

CRADLE OF FILTH Reveal Music Video for New Album Track "Demagoguery" + UK/EU Tour Begins This Week!

Following the release of their brand new 14th studio album The Screaming Of The Valkyries (Napalm Records) — which made stellar debuts at #2 on both the US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts, #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, and more — GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH have unveiled another surprise! A brand new music video for driving album track "Demagoguery" is out now, providing an eerily disturbing backdrop to the song, which blends dark beauty, blast beats, and slaytanic groove as only Cradle can combine.

The video comes just in time for the band to kick off their UK/European headline tour, featuring support from labelmates Nervosa, later this week! See below for a full listing of current tour dates.

"Demagoguery" music video director Shaun Hodson says about the video's concept: "Subject Eleven, a marionette puppet, is controlled by the media, government, and television, her every move dictated by their unseen strings. As a charismatic world leader rises, cloaked in promises of peace, the truth behind her manipulation becomes clear: she is part of a dark orchestration guiding the world toward the rise of the Antichrist."

Watch the music video for "Demagoguery" below:

On The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Dani Filth's recognizable scream and equally identifiable growl stand mightily alongside twin guitar attacks, symphonic flourishes, and explosive rhythm section, implemented by drummer Martin "Marthus" Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek "Ashok" Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, The Screaming of the Valkyries beckons the brave into a new era of CRADLE OF FILTH misadventure, celebrating massive melancholic melody, blackened thrash, and apocalyptic existential dread with a grinning smattering of unbridled revelry. The Screaming of the Valkyries is a bloody dark love letter to the longtime legion of CRADLE OF FILTH faithful and a stunning entryway for fresh lambs to the sonic slaughter.

Menacing album opener "To Live Deliciously" hits immediately with rhythmic urgency, built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere, and melody. Across the album’s blunt and unforgiving yet inviting expanse, Cradle summons the succulent flavors of classic albums like Dusk And Her Embrace and Cruelty And The Beast with the galloping (but no less fierce) thunder of recent entries Hammer Of The Witches and Existence Is Futile. Flashes of early metal influences coalesce with carnivorous glee into unapologetic death ‘n’ roll. Anchored by arguably the most mournful melody in their catalog, "Non Omnis Moriar" ("I shall not wholly die") could be a cousin to Paradise Lost or Anathema, inverted through Cradle’s thorny prism. "You Are My Nautilus" is the darkest song Iron Maiden never wrote, spinning an epic tale with dueling guitars, while "Ex Sanguine Draculae" conjures Dusk-era atmosphere with imaginative new colors.

Mawiza Release Towering New Single

To the broad world of metal, Mawiza are still an ascendant new force, but these modern day Mapuche warriors have always stood fiercely by their indeginous roots. The band's upcoming third album and first since winning a Chilean Grammy calls for us to restore our balance with nature. While the latest single from ÜL warns that the apocalypse is fast approaching, "Mamüll Reke" proudly demonstrates Mawiza's staying power by relying on all they've learned from their ancestral land.

"This song is devoted to nature" Mawiza says. "If necessary, we will die to defend our land".

Watch the video for "Mamüll Reke" below.

ÜL comes out July 18 on Season of Mist.

"This is one of the most melodic songs on ÜL", the band says. "We wanted it to bring the same energy that you carry into battle. We will die like a burning tree standing. Because nature has taught us everything we are".

The other half of the "Mamüll Reke" video was filmed amidst a native forest in the nearby Kalfvgen Community that's overseen by local Machi Paola Aroca Cayunao. This medicine woman invited Mawiza after accompanying them to their set at Fluvial 2024. "We have come to share a great relationship with her", Awka says. "There is a great energy amongst the land where she lives. The environment is great for soaking in the spirituality of the Mapuche".

It's only during this portion of the video that Awka dances the Pürun, mirroring the ostriches that are often spotted around his home city of Temuco. With their feet now back on native ground, "Mamüll Reke" ends with images of native plants returning to the barren soil, as if awakened by the band's heavy, grooving, ancestral rhythm.

"The Mapuche are still standing", says Mawiza. "You can cut us down, but if one falls, ten shall rise".

The video for “Mamüll Reke” was directed and edited by  Andrés Hetzler (@andreshetzler).

MAXIMO PARK songwriter DUNCAN LLOYD presents magnetic new single 'Rituals', teasing new album via Reveal Records

English songwriter-guitarist Duncan Lloyd presents his new single 'Rituals', a unique pop song born of a challenging year. Blending a modern sound with a deeply personal message about habits and healing, all while rotating through a circular, radio-like musical journey, this is the second taste from his new 12-track 'Unwound' album, forthcoming via Reveal Records.

A critically acclaimed solo artist, Lloyd is the primary musician behind internationally renowned art-rockers Maximo Park and also a member and co-writer (with Sarah Suri) in the indie band Nano Kino. Through a career spanning over two decades, Duncan Lloyd is a Mercury Music Prize nominee, has won an NME award, had A-listed singles at BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music (including lyric of the year), and has seen success with worldwide platinum and gold selling records. His songs have featured on eight hit albums with Maximo Park, consistently charting in the Top 10 U.K.

'Rituals' follows his latest invigorating single 'Laugh So Loud', which features a guest appearance by Joe Boyer (Cloud Nothings, Autopolitan) and accompanied by an adrenaline-rush of a video, this song is about self-doubt and passing things off as being fine.

"If there is a pop song on the album this is the closest song to one, although it didn’t start out that way. I wrote it during a difficult year and as with a few of the songs on the record it’s fundamentally a personal message to a loved one. I got a little obsessed with the sound of the production as i wanted it to be different from anything i’d done before so it has this modern sense to it," says Duncan Lloyd.

"The song is about habits, good and bad. It’s also a song about trying to help someone recover. Musically i was thinking of it being like a circle where the rhythm changes but the chords keep rotating, i wanted it to sound like it was coming through several broken radios with only one being crystal clear."

'Unwound' is the first studio album of new material that Lloyd is releasing via Reveal Records, his previous albums having been released by Warp Records or independently. With cover artwork derived from Lloyd’s own paintings, this record weaves a unique musical maze of free and varied personal expression, deep and transient, spare, intense and urgent with a balance of grit, beauty and melody.

Partly recorded by Julie McLarnon (The Vaselines, Lankum, King Creosote, Jeffrey Lewis, Brigid Mae Power) at Analogue Catalogue Studios in Ireland and by Lloyd himself at his studio in Newcastle Upon Tyne, this album also features contributions by Maximo Park keyboardist Jemma Freese and drummer Tom English.

Writing, recording (and painting) under his own name over the last decade, the Derby-born songwriter received an enthusiastic message from UK indie label/manager Tom Rose of Reveal Records in 2019, suggesting a future collaboration on his solo works (Rose had been listening to Lloyd's 2019 album 'Outside Notion' whilst on tour with now label-mate Joan As Police Woman). Requesting Duncan sent everything he'd recorded to date in whatever form, reissues of Lloyd’s early solo albums followed. The colossal 31-track selected works collection 'Green Grows Devotion' came out in 2022, followed by 'Fun City', a trilogy of three EPs recorded in succession throughout 2024.

While 'Unwound' is very much an album with Duncan Lloyd stepping front and centre, his career is dotted with collaboration with various musicians and producers, including Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Glass Animals, Rihanna), Gil Norton (The Pixies, Echo & The Bunnymen), Nick Launay (Nick Cave, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Ben Allen (Gnarls Barclay, Deerhunter), Rudimental, Dave Okumu, Batida and as part of Africa Express with legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.

As of June 3, 'Rituals' is available from fine digital music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Unwound' album will be released everywhere on July 11th.

"Sonic sensory overload of epic proportions, HEAVY enough to CRUSH A TANK. Execution Of The Plan - The 'Master Plan'..!!!"

Changeling Release Stop Motion Video for "World? What World?"

CHANGELING, the progressive death metal project led by fretless guitar luminary Tom "Fountainhead" Geldschläger, are unveiling a stunning stop motion animation video for “World? What World?”. The song is one of the many highlights from the band’s critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album.

Bridging chaotic intensity with theatrical grandeur, “World? What World?” captures a pivotal moment in the album’s psychedelic journey. Repressed fears and horrors of the subconscious are confronted amidst a thunderous Wagnerian brass ensemble, a gospel choir that recalls Dark Side of the Moon, the whirlwind drums of Mike Heller (Malignancy, Raven, ex-Fear Factory) and a guest guitar solo from legendary axeman Andy LaRocque.

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal Band DARKFLOW Release New Album "Imminent End", OUT NOW!

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal band DARKFLOW have released their highly anticipated new album Imminent End, out now!

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy LaRocque (legendary guitarist of King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studio in Sweden, Imminent End is a concept album that takes listeners through a dark and chaotic vision of the world’s collapse. LaRocque not only helmed the production but also contributes a blistering guest solo on the epic track “The Last Symphony.” Brian Bendahan did the orchestration of all the songs.

The album Imminent End explores themes of divine judgment, human depravity, and cosmic destruction. DARKFLOW crafts a world where each track reveals a different path to ruin—tsunamis, wars, existential despair—culminating in a battle between heaven’s wrath and hell’s vengeance.

“This album is about the world’s end, each track a vision of how everything falls apart. I embody Sean Horror, returning from hell to destroy the Earth before God can. It’s a race for apocalypse. ‘Press The Button’ finds Sean forcing a powerful man to unleash nuclear chaos. And the final song, ‘Whistles From The Sky,’ is my laughter as I’ve outdone God—winning the destruction of mankind and ushering in the end of all civilization.”

With Imminent End, DARKFLOW cement their place as masters of sonic horror, blending goth, shock metal, and theatrical narrative into a terrifying and unforgettable experience.

HANABIE. Drop New Track "Spicy Queen" + Official Music Video via Sony Music Japan

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are bringing the heat on their new single "Spicy Queen" and the official music video (via Sony Music Japan). Taking inspiration from experiences on their recent US co-headlining tour with Kim Dracula, today's release is in celebration of the band's 10-year anniversary and is a counterpart to the fan-favorite track "We love sweets". When asked about "Spicy Queen", vocalist Yukina commented:

"The song 'WE LOVE SWEETS,' which we released in 2021, has become a gateway track for listeners to discover our music. It’s a very meaningful track for us. As time has passed and we have matured, we thought, “Let’s make a spicy version of the song!” during our tour. Inspired by the famous “Nashville Hot Chicken”, we decided to create this new rendition that features a spicy and stimulating musical progression. It also has an addictive quality that will make you want to ‘eat’ (listen to) the track on repeat!"

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri said:

"This song was born during our U.S. tour from the sudden thought, "Let’s create a track that marks our 10th anniversary year.” It’s also the first track we crafted collaboratively as a band through constant discussions and was incredibly fun to make!! We included plenty of moments for our fans to shout along with us, designing the track with the vision that all the parts will come together during a live performance. So, we hope you listen to it a lot and come join us at our live shows!"

Bassist Hettsu also added:

"To celebrate our 10th anniversary year, we created this song that captures the essence of HANABIE.! It’s a track where everyone can shout together during the chorus and has parts that pay homage to our past songs. We feel it encapsulates the 10 years of HANABIE.! Listen to it a lot and let’s sing this track together at our live shows!"

HANABIE. drummer Chika shared:

"This song was created through discussions among us during our U.S. tour and marks the milestone for the band’s 10th anniversary year! My favorite drum phrase is in the second verse, where the rhythm alternates every measure between on-beat and off-beat! Aside from the drums, I also love Matsuri’s vocal slides at the beginning of the second verse! I hope everyone will shout along with us during the chorus when we perform at live shows."

Prior to today, the quartet released the official music video for "Tasty Survivor", the featured ending theme song for the anime series 'Momentarily Lily', available for streaming now on Crunchyroll, after releasing their latest EP 'Bucchigiri Tokyo'. Stream "Spicy Queen" here, watch the official music video, and be sure to stay tuned for more exciting HANABIE. news coming soon.

Johnny O’Neil Releases the Music Video for "When Janie Moved Into Town" from His Album Brand New Day

Johnny O'Neil has released the music video for the newest single, “When Janie Moved Into Town,” from his third album, “Brand New Day.” The video was recently premiered on BraveWords.com and is now available for the public to watch. Johnny's previous video for "My Mona" was selected by five film festivals around the world.

You can watch the video below:

You can stream and purchase Brand New Day at: http://johnnyoneil.hearnow.com/

The song tells the familiar tale of a young boy completely smitten with his new neighbor, “Janie,” who also captures the imagination of every other boy on the block. Yet, “Janie” is a young femme fatale far more worldly than their wildest dreams. This is the first video to feature Johnny all by himself.

Johnny had this to say about the making of the video, “My fabulous videographers, Brianna and Kurt Jorgensen, suggested that we film this one with just me. At first I thought that seemed a bit odd, but then they showed me a couple of videos that they produced for the late, great Joey Molland of ‘Badfinger,’ featuring Joey just by himself. That was enough to convince me to give it a shot out of curiosity, if nothing else. As luck would have it, Kurt found an old, abandoned barn in Henderson, Minnesota, which we later discovered was yards away from a scene Prince shot for the movie, ‘Purple Rain.’ The serendipity continued in abundance when a freight train came roaring by unexpectedly right during a take of the tune. The other scene was filmed outside of an iconic Twin Cities dive, ‘Ted’s Bar.’ My Audi TT makes a cameo appearance, as well.”

O’Neil’s third solo effort, Brand New Day, covers broad musical territory, taking elements from the past and adding a decidedly modern twist, combining guitar-driven hard rock and R&B with hooky choruses that get stuck in your head for days. Recruiting the talents of John Funk on lead guitar, Benny Craig on bass, and Joachim Baecker on drums, as well as engineer/co-producer Brian Bart – O’Neil’s former bandmate in Dare Force – O’Neil and his full band spent months writing and rehearsing before hunkering down to record with Bart at Winterland Studios in Minneapolis, as well as the legendary Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minn., where Nirvana famously recorded In Utero.

Steve Rothery and Thorsten Quaeschning introduce their collaborative project ‘Bioscope’, launching album this August

Bioscope is the highly anticipated collaborative project from guitar maestro Steve Rothery (Marillion) and electronic composer Thorsten Quaeschning (Tangerine Dream).

Their debut album Gentō, out August 22nd 2025 on earMUSIC, offers a deeply atmospheric journey where two distinct musical worlds converge. The album features an extraordinary performance by Elbow’s drummer Alex Reeves, whose rhythmic finesse and musical intuition bring depth and subtle momentum to the entire album.

The project began in early 2020 and gradually developed through focused five-day sessions in Berlin and at Rothery’s home studio in Southwest England. Each of the five instrumental tracks draws inspiration from man's endearing fascination with the moving image. From soaring guitar themes that recall the best of progressive rock to sequencer-driven passages rooted in Berlin School electronica, the music unfolds like a film without images – immersive, dreamlike, and full of detail. Each track reflects a shared sensibility shaped by decades of musical exploration.

Gentō will become available in retail stores as a CD+Blu-ray Digipak, including the full album in High-Res, Dolby Atmos as well as Dolby 5.1 Surround Mix, and Heavyweight Black 2LP Gatefold.

Pre-order the album Gentō HERE

The first track, “Kaleidoscope,” taken from the album, is out today and offers an exciting first glimpse into the intriguing fusion of Steve Rothery’s unmistakable melodic guitar work and Thorsten Quaeschning’s mastery of the analog electronic world. It’s a perfect blend between progressive rock and ambient music.

Stream the single “Kaleidoscope” Below

Bioscope are Steve Rothery, founding member and guitarist of Marillion, whose melodic playing helped define the sound of modern progressive rock and led to millions of records sold and Thorsten Quaeschning, musical director of Tangerine Dream, credited on over 80 releases and internationally known for his work on film and game soundtracks, real-time composition, and electronic music innovation.

Together, they bring decades of musical experience to a project that feels both intimate and expansive. Rothery’s guitar lines speak with emotional clarity, while Quaeschning’s detailed sound design shapes the music’s internal architecture.

Their collaboration is not just a fusion of styles, but a thoughtful dialogue between two established musical identities – a true “bioscope” in the sense of offering a view of life through music.

The name Bioscope comes from the Greek bios (life) and skopeein (to look). Before cinema, it meant “a view or survey of life” – a fitting metaphor for a project that turns musical experience into shared perception.

TSS Partner With Labelmates Windwaker for "Would you be my therapy (Redux)?" Video

French metal alchemists TSS (formerly The Sunday Sadness) have steadily built their reputation in the global metal scene, thanks to their innovative blend of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, and synthwave. They've recently added elements of phonk and neo-metal to their sonic blend. The band was founded in 2016 by Kirby, who sought to combine his emo and metalcore roots into a fresh new sound. He quickly solidified the TSS lineup with John on guitar and vocals andHugo on drums.

TSS will release their new album END OF TIME, out June 27 via Fearless. Pre-order it here.

They team up with labelmates Windwaker for "Would you be my therapy? (Redux)" Watch the video below.

TSS are known for seamlessly sewing elements of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, synthwave, and more into their signature style. The single "Would you be my therapy? (Redux)" (Feat. Windwaker) boasts a pulsating groove that runs through the entirety of the song and just won't quit. It's also quite possibly the sexiest metalcore track you've ever heard.

The band gave it a twist because it's such a game changer in their history and because they wanted to partner with a band with whom they align on many levels!

"Would you be my therapy? will always be a very special song to us," TSS states. "It is the one song that defined our new musical direction, which is now a blend of neo-metal, phonk, emo-core, and industrial music. It's also the first song that really got attention not only from the public but also from our label, Fearless Records. It is then an honor for us to give it a second life through this collaboration with Windwaker, which we consider one of the most innovative band in our label's roster right now. "

ABOUT TSS:
TSS's origin story can be traced back to December 2017, with "The Wrong Way," their firstsingle release. In May 2018, they released "Lost In The Crowd," a track that set the stage for their first live performance, which found them opening for Asking Alexandria in Paris. This show established TSS as an up and coming force in the French music scene.

Their 2018 single "Someone," a blend of synthwave and retrowave, was a turning point that showcased John as a second lead vocalist. This shift was followed by their self-titled debut EP in May 2019, led by the single "Damn I Hate It," which fans loved, thanks to its fusion of funk, synthwave, and emo elements. The band's growing popularity was further confirmed with a sold-out release show in Paris.

As the band evolved, they started to introduce French lyrics into their songs, leading to the release of "YAYAYA" in September 2019. Their originality attracted the attention of independent label PlayTwo, resulting in the creation of the album REGRETS in collaboration with Warner Music and TV broadcaster TF1. In September 2021, the band rebranded to TSS, marking the occasion with the release of the single "1996," which garnered significant attention in France.

February 2023 saw TSS embrace a more aggressive style with "Tes Pleurs," a modern metalcore track inspired by Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy. This new direction broadened their audience while maintaining their unique gothic/K-pop aesthetic. The band's experimental spirit led to the August 2023 release of "Fantasize," a viral hit that fused alternative rock, J-rock, phonk, and metal, earning millions of streams on Spotify.

The momentum continued with "Would You Be My Therapy?" in December 2023, a track that topped iTunes rock charts and caught the attention of many labels. In September 2024, having signed a deal with Fearless Records.

TSS's journey, characterized by constant innovation and genre-blending, has positioned them as a rising force in the modern metal scene, with a growing fanbase across diverse musical communities.

OUT NOW From Horrenda -Díoltas

In a powerful fusion of Irish mythology and unbridled metal ferocity, HORRENDA’s 2020 album Díoltas is set to conquer the U.S. with its upcoming physical release. The Dublin-based extreme metal band, known for their intense blending of black and death metal with atmospheric elements, first captured the attention of the underground metal scene with their explosive live performances and innovative sound.

Formed in 2015 by Darragh "Outis" O'Connor, HORRENDA quickly evolved from a solo project into a six-member ensemble that channels raw black metal, death metal, and a unique infusion of Irish folklore. Their live shows, notorious for their chaotic energy and punk-hardcore influences, have earned them a dedicated following and a regular spot at Ireland’s largest metal festival, Siege of Limerick.

Díoltas, translating to "Revenge" in Irish, is HORRENDA’s most ambitious work to date. The album weaves a dark tapestry of themes ranging from ancient vengeance to the modern decay of Ireland, explored through the lens of Irish history and mythology.

The opening track, "Balor", named after the Irish mythological giant and god of destruction, sets a foreboding tone, driven by aggressive guitar riffs and relentless drumming. Following up, "Dian" blends haunting melodic undertones with the ferocity of raw black metal, reflecting the intensity suggested by its name, which means "tough" or "intense" in Irish.

One of the highlights, "AxeWound", draws influence from the Swedish melodic death metal band AT THE GATES, while the title track "Díoltas" serves as the album's centerpiece, taking listeners on a harrowing descent into the Irish underworld with its expansive soundscape.

Collaboration takes center stage in "Craven X Horrenda", which sees HORRENDA team up with Irish darksynth-industrial act CRAVEN for a track that fuses black metal with eerie, synthetic textures, creating a standout moment on the album. Another key track, "Doom Tranquility", ironically named, is one of the band’s most aggressive offerings, exploring the paradox of seeking peace amidst chaos.

The album concludes with "Sluagh", referring to the spirits of the unforgiven dead in Irish folklore. It’s a deeply personal track for the band, encapsulating the album’s themes of vengeance, existential struggle, and the supernatural core of Ireland.

The release of Díoltas in physical format in the U.S. is a testament to their growing influence and ambition. With this release, HORRENDA is not just exporting their music but also their dark, intense vision of metal that has been honed on the stages of Ireland and the UK. This release is more than just an album; it’s an invitation to experience the depth and intensity of HORRENDA’s world, a world where folklore meets ferocity in a raw, musical onslaught.
