THE WILDHEARTS Release New Single "Troubadour Moon" from Forthcoming Studio Album ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’

THE WiLDHEARTS release a brand new single, "Troubadour Moon," from their forthcoming studio album, ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts, out on March 7th via Snakefarm.

The uplifting "Troubadour Moon" is an explosion of anthemic goodness and packs a melodic punch, watch the new music video below!

Ginger Wildheart comments:

“I was reading an interview with a well-known musician recently, and he was talking about how there aren’t any troubadours anymore – people who play music purely for the love of it. I thought it was an interesting observation, so I’ve addressed it here, along with the idea of being yourself and not being swayed by trend or fashion by the latest thing. If you allow that to happen, there’s the danger that you’ll always be one step behind or in someone else’s shadow…

Dante Bonutto of Snakefarm adds:

With the new ‘Satanic Rites…’ album reflecting both the spirit and the energy of the classic ‘Earth vs…’ debut, both musically and visually, it made sense for the video for ‘Troubadour Moon’ to contain a host of references – some very subtle and obscure – to the glorious early days of the band.

"Plus, acknowledging the past in this way will hopefully put a smile on the faces of longstanding fans, and underline the fact that those creating the videos, the artwork and the photos, all of the imagery, are true fans of the band with a passion for detail. And if anyone knows why there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nod to former Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan in the clip, then you really are a serious fan! Please take a bow!

Check out the Official Video for "Troubadour Moon" Below.

The creatively brilliant Ginger Wildheart is arguably amongst the UK’s best and most prolific songwriters, and his band, THE WILDHEARTS, recently signed a worldwide deal with Snakefarm / Integral.

"The songs on ‘Satanic Rites…’ were written during a period of transition, from extremely negative to positive,” reflects Ginger. “I realised how much control I have over my mental health, and the songs came from that understanding. There’s everything here – catchy choruses, proper fuck-off riffs, anger, frustration, acceptance and revelation, with plenty of insane detours. The album starts pessimistic and ends up like ‘Ah, so I CAN turn my life around?’ It’s a hard rock album for people who love hard rock!”

Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts, their 11th studio album, was produced by Jim Pinder(Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps, Bullet For My Valentine) and mixed by Jim Pinder & Carl Bown (Trivium, Machine Head, While She Sleeps, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon) and the record is conceived as a belated follow-up to their classic debut, ‘Earth vs The Wildhearts’ (1993).

Along with the singles, "Failure Is The Mother Of Success" and "Troubadour Moon,"the album features a further eight tracks, including glam stomper "I’ll Be Your Monster" (featuring Shining / Emperor member Jørgen Munkeby on guest saxophone).

Pre-Save 'Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts' HERE

Satanic Rites of The Wildheartswill be available on coloured vinyl LP, CD (with exclusive bonus track), and cassette. The LP & CD formats contain lyrics hand-written by Ginger, a painting by Ginger, plus other Ginger-related graphics.

Thornhill Unleash New Era ‘BODIES’ + Drop Explosive Single ‘Silver Swarm’ + Announce First-Ever US Headline Tour!"

Australia’s genre-defying heavyweights Thornhill are back with their most ambitious chapter yet. The band has announced their third studio album, ‘BODIES,’ set for release on April 4th, 2025, via UNFD. Following the success of their recent single “nerv,” Thornhill continue to break boundaries with the release of their blistering new track “Silver Swarm,” accompanied by an intense music video. The band has also unveiled details of their first-ever North American headline tour, kicking off in Los Angeles on April 11th, 2025.

Pre-order BODIES HERE.

Stream "Silver Swarm" HERE and watch the official music video below.

Tickets for the US headline tour will go on sale at 10am local on Friday, January 31st HERE

Thornhill’s new single “Silver Swarm” dives deep into the emotional depths of the chaotic manipulation and push-and-pull of love, control, and self-doubt experienced in toxic relationships. Speaking on the new track, Thornhill vocalist Jacob Charlton elaborates:

“‘Silver Swarm’ is a visceral exploration of the emotional labyrinth created by overwhelming feelings and the toxic pull of manipulation. The track vividly captures the experience of being ensnared in an intense, destructive relationship, where one is both irresistibly drawn to and desperately repelled by the manipulator’s influence. The ‘Silver Swarm’ becomes a powerful metaphor for the invasive thoughts and emotions that consume and cloud the protagonist’s sense of self. With its dynamic shifts in tone and intensity, the song mirrors the chaotic push and pull of such a relationship, oscillating between fear, confusion, and moments of clarity. It’s a haunting portrayal of the internal conflict that arises when love, control, and toxicity become entangled, leaving the listener to confront the complexity of being trapped in something both harmful and compelling.”

"Silver Swarm" builds on the foundation laid by their recent single “nerv,” which explored the dangerous dance between desire and self-preservation. “nerv” showcased the band’s ability to fuse haunting electronics and nu-metal fury with anthemic melodies, earning widespread acclaim and landing the band on the cover of Spotify's The Core playlist as well as adds on hugely popular playlists Kickass Metal and All New Metal. The track has already racked up 1.2 million streams on Spotify and 219,000 views on YouTube, firmly solidifying this new chapter of Thornhill as one of modern heavy music’s most exciting prospects heading into 2025.

After the success of ‘Heroine,’ Thornhill’s ARIA-nominated sophomore album, the band has redefined their sound with ‘BODIES.’ Speaking on the upcoming release the band shares:

“‘BODIES’ marks a bold evolution in our ever-developing sound. ‘Heroine’ was defined by its meticulously crafted and tightly woven concept, but the weight of this careful construction sometimes overshadowed the energy of the music itself, leaving some listeners feeling disconnected. With ‘BODIES,’ we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of ‘Thornhill right now.’

The album thrives on spontaneity and freedom, foregoing rigid concepts in favour of pure, in-your-face authenticity. It’s less about delivering a carefully constructed narrative and more about creating a visceral, open-ended experience. ‘BODIES’ serves as a sonic moodboard—a collection of feelings and vibes—intentionally left open to interpretation. It has an upbeat and almost celebratory, party energy at times, but also retains all the emotion and intensity Thornhill are known for, making it our heaviest and most explosive work to date.

With ‘BODIES,’ we invite listeners to connect on their own terms. It’s raw, personal, and unapologetically immediate—a record that thrives in the moment, capturing our band at our most authentic and free.”

In celebration of the new album, for the first time ever, Thornhill will headline stages across North America in Spring 2025. The ‘BODIES’ North American Headline Tour kicks off on April 11th at The Echo in Los Angeles and features support from AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade. Tickets go on sale at 10am local on Friday, January 31st HERE.

Commenting on their first ever US headline run, Thornhill shares:

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce our very first North American headline tour! It’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and now it’s finally happening. We’re bringing along some incredible friends—AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade—and trust us, this lineup is going to deliver a high-energy show from start to finish. We’re so gassed to bring the songs of our new album ‘Bodies’ to the stage.”

ABOUT THORNHILL

Eternal purveyors of artful and engaging heavy creations, Thornhill possess a flair for nuanced rock beyond their influences. Via their ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified a steadfast reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene, with Heroine debuting at #3 on the ARIA Albums charts, and at #1 on the Australian Albums charts.

Thornhill have amassed a heaving array of accolades over the years, including triple j's Feature Album and additions to countless Best Of The Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool. And in 2023 and 2024, the band gifted some insatiable new material courtesy of standalone singles "Viper Room" and "Obsession", as well as a live album, Live On Tour!, boasting performances captured in the wild across the globe that released in June.

Thornhill kicked off 2024 supporting Silent Planet on extensive North American run, before joining Aussie heavies Polaris on tour in the UK and Europe, appearing at Impericon Festival alongside As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps, and touring North America supporting Northlane.

Most recently, Thornhill joined Fear Factory, Thy Art Is Murder, Hands Like Houses and many more performing at Froth & Fury Fest in Adelaide, with the band also currently on the road headlining a huge run across the UK and Europe.

THE SPEED OF SOUND rounds up 'A Cornucopia' album trilogy & shares new 'Permafrost' video.

Long-serving Manchester UK Psychonauts The Speed Of Sound present their mega-album trilogy 'A Cornucopia: Minerva, Victory, Bounty', released via Californian cult label Big Stir Records, along with the video for their latest single 'Permafrost'.

With overlapping themes of independence - both culturally and artistically - each disc has its own vibe and personality: 'Minerva' is belligerence in musical form, 'Victory' is a manifesto of artistic creativity and 'Bounty' represents the fruits of artistic freedom, all taking place far from the grasping tentacles of the ‘music industry’.

'A Cornucopia' began with the band’s own love of the album format and a determination to make long-form music rather than merely produce a conveyor belt of unrelated singles. The interlocking themes of 'A Cornucopia' are deliberately made for album listeners to enjoy, each disc being its own standalone entity while also forming part of the larger whole trinity.

Full of ambition, energy and melodic brilliance, this three-album deluxe edition is available on vinyl and CD. Beginning with the 'Minerva' album, The Speed of Sound shared a rich bouquet of thought-provoking compositions, including the hauntingly spacious 'Trickledown', the stratospherically vast 'The Great Acceleration', the uplifting 'Mind Palace' and 'West Wind', where a recklessly fast rhythm merges with a Wagnerian horn section.

The 'Victory' album then brings 14 fresh and unexpectedly shape-shifting grooves, from the supremely danceable 'Underground', the unabashed sensuality of 'Monsoon', gothic lounge jazz of 'Permafrost', the glam-rocking 'E to F', reckless garage punk punch of 'Go For It', post-nostalgia of 'The Same River' and triumphant shimmering elegance of 'Tranquility Falls' to the strangely linked pairing of 'Apocalypse Acropolis'and 'Apocalypse Metropolis'.

The ’Bounty’ album adds to this with another ten ranging from the crunching garage rock of 'No Kicks' to the haunting floating melody of 'Virtual Reality123', acoustic driven rave-up of 'Replicant' and bouncing energy of 'Artificial Paradise'.

Since their formation in 1989, The Speed of Sound's music has always been idiosyncratic and counter-intuitive, in search of something new. Creating music with lyrical bite, expanding their foundation of 1960s, punk and new wave influences, their dynamic and stylistic variation crossing borders and pushing boundaries at every opportunity.

Following 2021's critically acclaimed album 'Museum Of Tomorrow', the band returns triumphant, defiant and redemptive with this trilogy, marking their 35th anniversary. Most music is never even recorded, and most recorded music remains unheard. ‘A Cornucopia’ is a celebration of all unheard underground music and the whole counterculture itself - music made for the pleasure of making it.

‘A Cornucopia’ is out now and available everywhere, including Apple Music and Spotifyand Bandcamp, Physically, the full trilogy 'A Cornucopia: Minerva, Victory, Bounty' can be ordered on both CD and vinyl at www.thespeedofsounduk.com/shop-2

Britain's History Of Guns marks 25th anniversary of debut single ‘Little Miss Suicide’ with fresh 3-track offering

UK industrial-postpunk legends History Of Guns kick off 2025 with the single 'Little Miss Suicide (25)'. Released via the Liquid Len Recording Company, this fresh take on the band's debut single from 2000. The accompanying video uses footage, originally filmed by Danni Cutmore on a VHS camera, of the band writing and performing the song at Earthworks studio in Barnet in 1998.

Based in Hertfordshire, History Of Guns were frontrunners of the UK's Wasp FactoryFuturePunk scene of the early 2000s and are still crafting their unique meta-modernist Industrial sound 29 years after forming in Cheshunt. Aiming to create a strange alternative world where people can feel safe, HoG embraces the dark as well as the light, bleakness as well as hope - as openly and honestly as possible.

Produced by Max Rael, this single was mixed by Max Rael and Caden Clarkson, using all the original audio recorded back in 1999, and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Pixies, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails).  Written in 1998 by founding members Del Alien, Max Rael and Stagger Lee, alongside regular contributor Gary Hughes (who also plays the lead guitar melody), the rougher original version of this song was released in February 2000.

Stagger Lee's lyrics challenged the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide that prevailed at that time - an environment where openly discussing one's personal struggles was discouraged. Projecting his own depression and suicidal thoughts on to an imagined female character, Stagger relays the character's experience of not being taken seriously, as reflected in the title - a nod towards the popular "Mr. Men and Little Miss" series by British author Roger Hargreaves back in the 70s and 80s.

“This was our first song to really feature major chords, which Del wasn’t at all convinced by. In the end Stagger and I won him round by assuring him we were only using happy chords ironically to contrast with the dark subject matter. It’s probably the closest we’ve ever come to an actual proper pop song," recalls Max Rael.

Del Alien adds, "We knew all too well that sincerity wasn't respected or valued in the 90s, so from early on we'd incorporate humour amongst the darkness, we said because we wanted to reflect the whole of life and experience, the good and the bad, but it also gave us a way of talking about the terrible things that were happening to us and our friends, but we could never be accused of taking ourselves too seriously, or being emo or whatever. We may, at times, have taken this a bit too far at times. "

Last year, the band released their widely acclaimed eighth album 'Half Light', a sonic exploration of modern society, addiction, abandonment, different levels of reality and the struggle to keep going. But it is also a reminder that, through this darkness, there remains underneath, a core of hope.

Del Alien - an original punk turned goth - is an anti-authority seeker of truth and the questions behind the questions. Max Rael is in love with the idea of using music to create a separate universe for creating stories and escaping into, was an autistic, music-obsessed child, absorbing a dozen genres before diving into trance after Britpop ruined the alternative scene.

History of Guns' 2004 single 'Your Obedient Servant' was championed by The Quietus and Mick Mercer among the “30 best goth singles of all time”. Taking hiatus in 2012, they released the album 'Forever Dying In Your Eyes' in 2022. Influenced by Killing Joke, PWEI, Bauhaus, Coil, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails and Swans, History of Guns have played Whitby Gothic Weekend, as well as Futurepunkand Back to the Futurepunk events.

'Little Miss Suicide (25)' is out now, available to download for next-to-nothing, alongside the B-side 'I Am Defective' and a trance remix by Gary Hughes, at https://historyofguns.bandcamp.com/album/little-miss-suicide-25

Retromorphosis Release Twisted New Playthrough

While a fresh mutation, Retromorphosis are a proven batch of tech-death freaks. The band contains former members of Spawn of Possession, Obscura, Necrophagist and Decrepit Birth.

Each of their singular talents is a legend in their own right, but the raw spirit of Retromorphosis' upcoming debut album Psalmus Mortis springs from the ghoulish grooves of bassist Erlend Caspersen. Along with SoP's revered Incurso, Caspersen has played with IGORRR, Blood Red Throne and Deeds of Flesh.

Today, Retromorphosis are releasing a new bass playthrough of the band's latest single. Caspersen's fast and filthy bass runs are the gnarled roots from which the twisted tale of "The Tree" takes its almighty hold.

WITHIN DESTRUCTION Announce New Album 'ANIMETAL'; Drop New Single & Music Video "CYBERGIRL"

Within Destruction, Slovenia’s most awesomely audacious, genre defying metal pioneers, Within Destruction have officially announced their next chapter with the reveal of their upcoming album ‘ANIMETAL,’ set for release on April 11th, 2025, via Sumerian Records. Pre-orders for 'ANIMETAL' are available now HERE. To mark the news, the band has dropped their electrifying new single “CYBERGIRL,” accompanied by an official music video that plunges listeners into a dystopian world where the lines of reality are blurred. Listen to "CYBERGIRL" HERE and watch the accompanying video below.

Packed with relentless riffs, soaring melodies, and their signature, anime-inspired electronic elements, "CYBERGIRL" epitomizes Within Destruction’s ability to innovate and push boundaries while staying rooted in the chaos of modern metal.

Speaking on the news of their upcoming album, the band share:

"ANIMETAL is a culmination of all the stylistic experimentations that preceded it. These tracks are unapologetically authentic to the band’s identity. With each album released after the band’s deathcore era, we have gradually pushed the boundaries of electronics, clean hooks, and pop sensibility. Each song has a unique identity within the tracklist while retaining the band’s signature heavy-core sound. In previous albums, we experimented with melodic choruses, but with ANIMETAL, they have become a defining feature of our music. Every song has its own hook and appeal, and we hope it resonates deeply with listeners.

"Thematically, ANIMETAL explores a wide range of subjects, shifting between fictional, larger-than-life characters and situations, and motifs that are deeply relatable to everyday life. Heavily inspired by anime plots and protagonists, the lyrics often take on a first-person perspective, portraying the struggles these characters face. From the grim battles within one’s own mind to the delusions we sometimes find ourselves lost in, and the crushing weight of the external world, we aim to create a connection with listeners through the storytelling in these tracks."

Building on the momentum of their previous singles “DEMON CHILD” and “KANASHIBARI,” Within Destruction’s fifth studio album, 'ANIMETAL' pushes their sonic experimentation to new heights. Combining their trademark brutality with anime-inspired electronic flourishes, the album reflects their fearless creativity and relentless drive to challenge genre boundaries. Pre-order merch bundles are available now HERE

Within Destruction are kicking off their 2025 with a bang. The band hit the road in the US this week, fro their Super Sugoi Tour headline dates which started on Monday 1/27 in Pittsburgh, then joining Born of Osiris for their nationwide run kicking off on Janaury 31st in Iowa. Within Destruction are also gearing up for a spring tour across Australia and Asia to celebrate the release of ‘ANIMETAL.’ Tickets for all dates are on sale now from HERE.

About Within Destruction

Within Destruction are an innovative metal group from Slovenia. They have been disrupting the deathcore and metalcore scenes since their formation in 2010. Known for their intense sound, the band uniquely incorporates electronic elements and anime samples into their music, adding layers of unpredictability that have captivated fans worldwide. They gained international recognition with their 2016 album 'VOID,' and their irreverent approach to metal, which has built a dedicated global following.

Their third album, 'DEATHWISH,' which was mixed and mastered by Will Putney, further solidified their reputation. Featuring fan-favorite tracks like "Human Defect" and the title track, leading to their first European headliner tour, as well as a breakthrough in the U.S. market. In 2020, they took a bold step with 'YOKAI,' an album that divided fans by blending metalcore with electronic and trap influences, all while integrating anime-inspired themes.

Continuing to push boundaries, the band released 'LOTUS' in 2022, leaning further into metalcore and embracing clean vocals, which sparked both outrage and admiration among listeners. Known for their ambitious live performances and relentless dedication, Within Destruction remains a force in modern metal, constantly evolving and challenging genre norms. With ‘ANIMETAL,’ they’re poised to deliver their boldest statement yet.

Poison the Well Return + Drop First New Song in 15 Years With "Trembling Level" Video

POISON THE WELL released the definitive album The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation in December 1999 and it went on to become a benchmark of the genre that has inspired a generation of bands. The album was chosen as one of the "15 '90s Metalcore Albums That Still Resonate Today" by Brooklyn Vegan; as one of the "21 Best U.S. Metalcore Albums of All Time" by Kerrang!; as one of the "25 Best Metalcore Albums of All Time" by Loudwire; and as one of the "Top 60 Best Hard Rock Albums of All Time" by Revolver. Its influence is indisputable.

But the band is not content to rest on the laurels of its past achievements, as mighty as those achievements are.

Instead, PTW are looking forward in 2025 by releasing their first new song in 15 years with "Trembling Level."

Watch the video below.

"Trembling Level" finds Poison the Well in top form. Harmonics pierce the armor of a thick riff, and a guttural groove tosses and turns beneath Jeff Moreira's hard-hitting screams. The barrage subsides on an arresting bridge anchored by a dramatic drumroll. A final melodic warning, "Don't you let the silhouettes lead you to the ocean floor," gives way to one last pit-splitting breakdown.

"For me, I was trying to figure how to effectively incorporate elements from our whole discography into one song," guitarist Ryan Primack reveals. "We ended up with this, and it has a little bit of everything we've done throughout the course of our existence."

"Lyrically, it's about tackling a fear," says Moreira. "I tend to write based on personal experience. You're approaching something you're scared to do, going through it, and realizing the hardest parts are actually the ones you should be looking towards because those will lead you to success.”

In other Poison the Well News, the band has signed with SharpTone Records. More new music is expected, so stay tuned. The band also fortifies its ranks by officially welcoming bassist Noah Harmon and guitarist Vadim Taver into the fold. Both musicians have played with the group for
years. Now, they round out the lineup.

Last year, PTW announced a massive 25th anniversary tour celebrating The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation this spring.

PTW will be playing the beloved album in full every night, making it show not to be missed.

Glassjaw, Better Lovers, and Teenage Wrist will serve as support. New dates have been added in Mesa, Arizona and Lawrence, Kansas.

All dates are below and in the graphic. Get tickets here.

"For me, The Opposite of December... represents everything I absorbed as a teenager: the shows, the music, the raw energy of hardcore and punk. I never imagined that record would still resonate 25 years later. Seeing people continue to connect with it inspires me every day, and I'm so grateful for the opportunities this band has given me," says singer Jeff Moreira. "This upcoming tour is so much more than just a series of shows. It's a celebration of that record, its impact, and the journey we've shared together. We've worked hard to make it special in every way — from the lineup, featuring Glassjaw, Better Lovers, and Teenage Wrist, to the merch, the setlist, and the production. It's all about honoring The Opposite of December... and the listeners who've supported us through the years."

He finishes, "For this to be our first tour in 15 years feels unreal. I can't wait to celebrate with everyone in April. Open the door for your friend."

SOM Share Video For New Single "Chemicals"

SOM have shared the video for new single "Chemicals," the latest single taken from their forthcoming third full-length album Let The Light In, on March 14 through Berlin's Pelagic Records.

With a unique sound dubbed "Doom Pop" by Metal Injection, SOM's dreamy shoegaze roots are on display across Let The Light In but there is heft at its core that is bracing and ferocious.

If the band's debut album The Fall explored hitting rock bottom and sophomore release The Shape of Everything grappled with the ever-darkening world around us, Let The Light In sees SOM turn their sights inward, towards our most primal impulses: Seeking solace and reconciliation from the vibrancy within ourselves and the people we hold close.

Adversity became the catalyst for change when, due to unforeseen circumstances, the band's founding drummer left midway through the album's writing and recording process. SOM took the remainder of 2023 to reshape and refocus, eventually re-recording most of the album in a new configuration that allowed them to paint in even broader sonic strokes. The result is a raw but richly melodic album unafraid to travel through the depths of human emotion, ultimately guiding us towards growth and enlightenment.

Angular and anthemic, "Chemicals" is SOM at their most dynamically adept. Marrying the alt-metal menace of high-gain distortion and punching, half-time drums with catchy hooks and soaring vocal euphoria; "Chemicals" is the newly-refigured four-piece fully embracing the broad spectrum of their "Doom Pop" dichotomy. Directed by artist/director Joel Villegas, who has worked with the likes of Holy Fawn, Poison The Well, and Glassing, the video for "Chemicals" is a sultry, psyched-out trip that pairs the saturated, lo-fi warmth of CRT monitors with the band's truly panoramic sound.

Since 2019, SOM have toured extensively across North America, Europe and the UK alongside acts including Katatonia, Solstafir, Slow Crush, and many more. This relentless live commitment across 21 countries, coupled with 2023's introspective restructuring, has profoundly altered their creative approach.

As they began working on this new material, the members of SOM found themselves in a fresh headspace, armed with a newfound, hard-earned maturity. Let The Light In is SOM's testament to resilience and evolution. Born from challenge and change, the album pulses with confidence and catharsis, imploring the listener and the band themselves to traverse the darkness and find the light.

Let The Light In is released on the March 14.

"Chemicals" is out now.

Introducing Katerina Nicole! Artist to Release "Serene In Violent Oceans" EP + Shares "What I Know Now" Video

Katerina Nicole is the voice of a storm — a haunting presence where fragile whispers rise above crashing waves of sound and the thunderous weight of darkness. Her music exists in contrasts: delicate yet unrelenting, a dance of light and shadow, where beauty and brutality intertwine. Each song feels like a ritual, unraveling themes of transformation, resilience, and the quiet strength found in chaos.

With her debut EP, Serene in Violent Oceans, Katerina invites listeners into a world as turbulent as it is breathtaking, offering a glimpse of the beauty hidden within the storm.

The EP arrives on February 21. Pre-save here.

Today, she has shared the video for "What I Know Now."

Watch it below.

The gorgeously heavy track is a captivating exploration of self-discovery and the importance of embracing one's true desires. The song delves into the struggles of wearing a mask to fit societal expectations, only to find that such denial leads to chaos and confusion.

Here, Katerina reflects on her journey of learning from past experiences and the transformative power of accepting one's worth. The song encourages listeners to shed their façades and embrace their authentic selves, reminding us that true fulfillment comes from acknowledging and pursuing our deepest desires.

"What I Know Now" and its emotive melodies and relatable lyrics will resonate with anyone who has ever felt the pressure to conform. Katerina's soulful voice guides us through the madness of ignoring our true selves, ultimately leading to a message of empowerment and self-acceptance.

Behemoth Unveil New Album "The Shit Ov God" + Share Video For Title Track

Extreme metal giants BEHEMOTH have revealed the title, cover art, and release date of their upcoming new opus, The Shit Ov God, which is due to be released on May 9 via Nuclear Blast Records. Alongside the title track, which is streaming now, an opulent music video premiered at 10am ET today.

BEHEMOTH have always been known for not shying away from controversy, and they most certainly remain true to this approach with their 13th full-length. Here's a band that, 34 years in, is releasing its most inflammatory and extreme record to date. Eight songs that go into the fathoms of humanity, divinity, and what defiance means in an age where individuality is prized but everyone is clinging to their saviors — musically, politically, or otherwise. The title of the album is in line with those sensibilities.

Intentionally polarizing, founder and frontman Nergal says of the title, "We chose this provocative title deliberately, rejecting subtlety in favor of a direct and polarizing statement. It's a defiant plunge into the depths, daring to seek the absolute even in the gutter."

But make no mistake, despite its apparent insubtlety, the album title gets a touch of genius when seen in combination with the strikingly clever artwork, which depicts an upside-down version of the most common Christogram "IHS."

NERGAL commented, "I've reached a point in Behemoth's journey and my own creativity where words and statements mean less and less. The true essence of who we are and what we stand for lies in our music, our art, our visuals, our sounds, our performances, and the ways we connect with you. I deeply believe Behemoth represents transcendent, timeless art.

"The number thirteen—so magical and significant. If this were to be our final album, I could say I die a proud man. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the most refined, purest representation of Behemoth. No filler, no excess — just the very best we have to offer, handed to you.

"Hail Satan."

BEHEMOTH meticulously chose the audiovisual artists involved on the album. Production on the album was helmed by the inimitable Jens Bogren of Fascination Street Studios (Emperor, Enslaved, Kreator, Rotting Christ et al.). Working closely with the band, Bogren's deft hand underscored the band's natural sound while sacrificing none of the mayhem and ferocity which permeates the band's essence. As is always the case with Behemoth, the visuals were as carefully constructed as the sound. The band tapped long-time collaborator and partner in crime Bartek Rogalewicz (BLACK.LODGE.IS.NOW) as well as Dark Sigil Workshop to make the beautifully ominous and unique cover-art.

Don't forget to catch BEHEMOTH live on their Unholy Trinity headline tour with Satyricon and Rotting Christ in Europe. Tickets are available here.

Face Yourself Drop Explosive New Single "Sideration"; Announce Signing With Sumerian Records

Modern Deathcore force Face Yourself are kicking off 2025 with a seismic statement. The band has released their ferocious new single “Sideration,” accompanied by a visually arresting official music video and announced their signing to Sumerian Records, a move that signals the next chapter in their rapid ascent. Listen to "Sideration" HERE and watch the official music video Below.

Sideration” captures the essence of inner turmoil and the search for escape in a universe that feels both vast and isolating. A relentless dive into the psyche, the song bridges the gap between sheer brutality and lyrical vulnerability. Lyrically, “Sideration” confronts themes of despair, isolation, and the desire for release. The accompanying music video is a visual feast, blending dark imagery with visceral performance, perfectly capturing the emotional gravity of the track. Speaking on their new release the band shares

“‘Sideration’ is both a gateway and a foreshadowing of what’s to come. This track encapsulates everything Face Yourself stands for—Yasmine screaming her heart out, blast beats, aggressive guitars, and a breakdown that’s as crushing as it is cathartic. Thematically, the song explores the dreamlike state your mind creates to shield you from violent events, and the fight to wake up and reclaim control. It's about being half awake through this dream, trying to find your way out reflected in the lyrics at the beginning "trying to catch the light", and at the end of the song "I now see the light”.

To bring this vision to life, we curated a dream team: Joey Sturgis scientifically crafting the heaviest sounds, Max Moore editing our visuals, and now, we have Sumerian Records amplifying everything and ensuring its successful release. Together, we’ve created something that reflects our evolution—two years of DIY grit, 3 self-produced EP’s, 10 DIY music videos, a lot of reflection and funny reddit posts -  turned into something even more powerful. We are so excited to share this next chapter with you all. ‘Sideration’ is just the beginning

After two whirlwind years as an independent band, Face Yourself has now joined forces with globally renowned Sumerian Records, a label synonymous with pushing boundaries and cultivating some of the most innovative acts in heavy music.

The band’s meteoric rise has been fueled by their relentless work ethic and raw talent. Since their debut in 2023, Face Yourself has released three EPs in quick succession, racked up 6 million streams and 1.5 million YouTube views, and landed a nomination for Breakthrough Band of the Year at Nik Nocturnal’s Heavy Music Awards. Their addition to the Chaos & Carnage 2024 spring tour further cemented their status as a rising powerhouse in the Deathcore scene.

ABOUT FACE YOURSELF

A transcontinental Deathcore phenomenon, Face Yourself has redefined what it means to blend modern heaviness with old-school roots. Featuring members from New York, New Jersey, Colorado, and France, their unique sound is as diverse as their origins. Vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux brings her French influence and socially conscious themes into the mix, setting the band apart with an intensity and depth that’s rarely seen in the genre.

With their Myspace-era throwback riffs, drop-tuned breakdowns, and sheer relentlessness, Face Yourself have become a staple of the modern Deathcore era. Their ability to connect with fans worldwide and their tireless drive have made them a force to be reckoned with—and they’ve only just begun.

Wrath of Logarius Announce Debut Album 'Crown of Mortis'

Despite its fiery and contentious spirit, black metal can get stuck in its own ways. But while they emerged from a mystic scene that's familiar to the well-initiated, Wrath of Logarius aren't bound by black metal's strict sense of tradition.

The band's upcoming debut album officially announces a new realm for the subgenre: formless black metal.  Much like their notoriously hard-to-beat namesake, which approach they take in launching their attack is impossible to predict. But no matter what skeletal form they assume, one thing is clear: Crown of Mortis pronounces Wrath of Logarius as unflinching kings of black metal's new realm.

Crown of Mortis comes out April 4 on Season of Mist.

Watch the commanding video for the album's shape-shifting lead single "Keeper of the Spectral Legion".

Wrath of Logarius hail from the misty forests of Northern California, but it's fitting that whispers of their supremacy started by spreading through the digital underground. The band's introductory EP infected the world of extreme metal like a bloodborne virus.

"To these ears, I hear Cascadian black metal mixed with a blackened form of tech death, with some stunningly beautiful melodic work",  New Noise wrote about Necrotic Assimilation. "All that is to say, good luck figuring out Wrath of Logarius, and that's the point".

On Crown of Mortis, the legend behind Wrath of Logarius has only grown. The album follows in the wake of the band's viral takeover; each song serves the larger narrative of an accursed king with its lead single rolling out the blood red carpet for his army of the dead.

"Ancient - Power - Cosmic - Legion", Noctifier growls during the song's punchy, bone-crushing chorus before his gutturals climb into throat-scraped agony.

Wrath of Logarius summons the full force of their signature formless style on "Keeper of the Spectral Legion". After another studio ritual at Rapture Recordings with producer Cody Fuentes, the band have leveled up in brute strength and hair-raising skill. Lord Marco's flying fingers still pound with technical precession while Urath and Vastador churn chunky death metal riffs into blackened reams of shredding melodic dissonance.

With Crown of Mortis, Wrath of Logarius build on their throne of formless black metal. Though possessed by a mournful melody, "Long Dead the King" marches to Lord Marco's blistering blasts. The flays from his flying fingers are so precise in their pounding that they erode the mind. But while the band have leveled up in brute strength, the album also ups their chilling sense for atmosphere with hair-raising skill. With the curl of each blackened tendril, "Of the Void" embraces transfiguration by fire and ice. "Open the gates and let revision in", Noctifier beckons amidst swirling dissonance. "Slowly dismantle every part of you".

Wrath of Logarius also encrust Crown of Mortis with deadly new jewels. Another woodland specter comes to join their ranks on "The Ethereal Mist". Beneath its slithering stomp emerges Vilhelm of Grima with freshly rotten snarls. "Lurker's Tomb" crashes down with knuckle-dragging riffs and brutal double bass kicks, but its trap is sprung by a solo that's treachery lies in its maze-like technicality. "The fear subsides for now I breathe again", Noctifier shrieks as the album's dread-inducing closer ascends into the astral plane.

On Crown of Mortis, Wrath of Logarius bend black metal to fit their formless rule.

Tropic Gold Announce New EP + Share "HOLY HORROR" Video

Suffolk-via-Essex trio Tropic Gold will release their new EP, SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYHING, via UNFD on March 7 Pre-save it here.

Today, they share the video for the sexy and sleek track "Holy Horror."

Watch it below.

About the song, the band enthuses, "'HOLY HORROR' refers to someone you'd do anything for at your own expense, despite how they treat you and how it affects you, because you see them as such a holy being. No matter how bad this holy person treats you, you still like it, just because they're still there, and you take it from them to keep them around, without realizing how toxic it is for yourself."

Regarding the deeply personal EP, Tropic Gold siphoned every bit of emotion the members have experienced in recent times and parlayed it into these songs, saying, "SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING had everything poured into it over some really difficult times — the name sums up what was, and has been, going through our heads. It's our most honest and vulnerable body of work, and hope that people hear it and connect so they understand they aren't alone with day to day instability of mental health, life uncertainty, and self-loathing."

Tropic Gold offer up a thoroughly modern and moody meld of alternative, metal, pop, and electronica, cajoling their passions for a dynamic culture pool of music and production styles into a single sonic petri dish. Though originally formed in 2019, the quartet have spent years in the lab, developing their sound and strong aesthetics behind the closed doors of a bespoke, self-built multi-media studio.

The Tropic Gold method is truly hands on, with guitarist Joshua Lee handling all production and recording duties, as well as diving into the weeds on their visual curation, manning the camera and edit suite as often as the production chair.

SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING follows their 2023-released What A Wonderful Experience EP via UNFD, which yielded for "Maniac," "ADRENALINE" and "DTTTH."

Pairing swathes of moody atmospherics with soaring, ear worm choruses, the band’s songs feel like they would be equally A Vibe™ pulsing across sticky, cramped dance floors as soaring atop airy arenas. Coming on like a new romantic Bring Me The Horizon or a post breakup Don Broco, who just discovered their parents copy of The Cure'sDisintegration or a 45rpm copy ofSing The Sorrow playing at 33rpm… tl;dr: Tropic Gold are as gloomy as they are catchy.  Sharing a sonic space with the likes of the aforementioned BMTH and Broco, PVRIS, (latter day) Architects, Caskets, Spiritbox's plaintive moments and even Enter Shikari (albeit on Valium), Tropic Gold are just getting started in figuring out how to weaponise their cocktail of slap and swag.

Tombstones In Their Eyes Mirror New 'Asylum Harbour' album out now via Kitten Robot Records 28 January 2025

After kicking off 2025 with a successful Los Angeles show, indie rock outfit Tombstones In Their Eyes offer up their latest fuzzed-out dish of bliss rock in 'Mirror', along with a fine positively-charged kaleidoscopic visual reel created by Italian multi-arts visionary Francesca Bonci.

'Mirror' highlights the latest 'Asylum Harbour' album from the LA-based psych-rock shoegaze collective, made up onf long-time members John Treanor (vocals & guitar), Stephen Striegel (drums), Courtney Davies (vocals) , Phil Cobb (guitar) and Paul Boutin (guitar), along with new band members Joel Wasko (bass) and Clea Cullen(vocals).

"I'd rather let listeners go where they want with the lyrics as I did write it without conscious thought by singing whatever came to mind (with some tweaks afterward). But in reading the lyrics after the fact, I can see that this song is more direct than most. From my standpoint, the song is about trusting your instincts and your awareness when dealing with love or friendship," says John Treanor.

"It's on it's way to be a happy song until you hit the chorus, with the lyric "I can see it in the gloom". I consider this one of the sleeper songs on the album for me because I didn't consider how much I loved it until after the record was complete. I love the harmonies on the choruses. The lead or melody line in the bridge by Paul Boutin is fantastic and even the verse vocal melody is cool (IMHO, of course)."

Named after a maritime phrase for a safe place to wait out a storm and released via Kitten Robot Records, 'Asylum Harbour' is about resurfacing in a new phase of healing following the pandemic. Produced and engineered by Paul Roessler (45 Grave, Twisted Roots, The Screamers, Nina Hagen), known for his work with Josie Cotton, Hayley and the Crushers and Gitane Demone, this record was co-produced by the band's frontman John Treanor and recorded at Kitten Robot Studios.

As a professional new media artist, Francesci Bonci has created videos for numerous artists, including The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Collin Hegna for his Federaleproject, The Dandy Warhols' Peter G. Holmström a.k.a. Pete International Airport and Slowdive's Rachel Goswell. Bonci is a visual champion, highlighting the triumph of color and light in her works and mixing captured photographic images and video with chromatic and luminous tapestries, often using vintage analog elements.

Bonci shares, "This was a very instinctive and emotional video. But this time, it's more abstract. I perceived and felt many deep things inside the song - like being in that room and seeing John’s soul entering and exiting that mirror. Though seemingly simple, there are a lot of layers one on top of the other, in which I sculpted the emotions that the song suggested to me. I used an analog processor that recreates the atmospheres of old VHS, with which i manipulated the images in a cathode ray tube tv".

'Asylum Harbour' follows the band's 'Sea of Sorrow' album, this new record seeing Treanor pull past the pain, numbness and chaos imbued in that previous offering.  Earlier, the band released 'Sweet as Pie', 'I'm Not Like That', 'In Your Eyes' and the supercharged 'I Like to Feel Good', its video oscillating between electrified stage performances and a chilled drive through LA, reflecting its lyrics about how one's inner strength and individuality can be a catalyst for positive change.

What began a decade ago as two childhood friends (Treanor in LA and James Cooper in NYC) swapping demos quickly grew into a full-fledged band with a healthy stream of expansive music, laced with fuzzed out psychedelic majesty. Writing and performing is Treanor's way to deal with anxiety and depression, to speak about a subject without being the centre of the conversation, and to express oneself in a subliminal way. TITE's music gazes into the universe as much as inward toward the soul.

'Asylum Harbour' is out now, available on CD and on snazzy red vinyl, as well as digitally everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Caliban Announce New Album "Back From Hell" + Share Video for Title Track

For over two decades, CALIBAN have stood as one of the defining forces in metalcore.

With their upcoming album Back From Hell that is scheduled for a release April 25, 2025, the German band continues to evolve its sound while staying true to the intensity and emotion that has defined its career.

Led by founding members Andreas Dörner (vocals) and Marc Görtz (guitar), the band's current lineup includes new vocalist and bassist Iain Duncan, whose clean vocals, songwriting skills, and diverse perspective and experience bring a fresh dimension to their already powerful dynamic.

Complemented by longtime drummer Patrick Grün and guitarist Denis Schmidt, CALIBAN's formidable lineup is poised to deliver a relentless and emotionally charged experience that reaffirms their status as metalcore pioneers.

Following the success of their recent singles — "I Was a Happy Kid Once," "Echoes," and "Guilt Trip (feat. Mental Cruelty)"— CALIBAN are set to release their most ambitious work yet. Back From Hell explores themes of inner struggle, resilience, and catharsis, blending their signature crushing riffs and guttural vocals with atmospheric melodies and modern production.

CALIBAN are thrilled to reveal their new single and video, "Back From Hell" (Feat. The Browning), with singer Jonny McBee featured in the video that was directed by Mirko Witzki for Witzki Vision.

The band comments: "'Back Fom Hell' is a declaration of survival. It's about facing your deepest fears and coming out stronger on the other side. This song reflects the struggle of rising from darkness, fighting your way back from rock bottom, and refusing to accept defeat. We wanted it to be a raw, aggressive anthem for anyone who's ever felt trapped but found the strength to break free."

RONNIE ROMERO Shares Live Version of “Castaway On The Moon” Out Now via Frontiers Music SRL

Legendary singer RONNIE ROMERO is thrilled to share his new single and video, a live version of the track “Castaway On The Moon”, recorded live at the Spanish Rock Imperium Festival out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

ROMERO is also gearing up for his upcoming UK and European headlining tour, which starts March 6th in Wolverhampton, UK, and wraps up on March 19th in Weert, NL, with support from Absolva. In support of the tour, RONNIE ROMERO is available for interviews.

RONNIE shares his excitement for the single:

“This was the first song we wrote for the album, and it's definitely one of my favourites and, as far as we experienced, one of the favourites for the audience every time we play the song live! Very energetic and melodic tune, I’m sure you will feel it in the video clip!”

Castaway On The Moon” is from RONNIE’s latest solo album 'Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters,' which marks the first time ROMERO has been involved with 100% of the songwriting on an album he sings on.

ROMERO also co-produced the album with Andy C., marking another first for ROMERO. While these "firsts” certainly add to the excitement for the album, the songs truly take center stage. ROMERO's voice is completely at home on this diverse, hard rockin' set which is certain to please any fan of his vocal style and his work with his other bands.

Watch the New Live Video for “Castaway On The Moon”

With an impressive discography already under his belt, 'Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters' is arguably the crown jewel of ROMERO's recorded output thus far.

Traitors Drop "No Witness" Video

Formed in 2013 in South Florida, TRAITORS emerged as a pioneering force in the deathcore scene, known for their signature blend of slow, sludgy downtempo riffs.

The band will drop the new album — and fifth overall — titled PHOBIAS. The album is due out on February 21. Pre-order it here

Traitors just dropped the video for the incendiary new single "No Witness." Watch it below.

"'No Witness' captures the overwhelming sense of isolation and internal chaos that comes with battling mental health struggles," shares the band. "The song plunges into a mind in turmoil, where no one else can see or understand the depth of anguish within. The relentless weight of negative thoughts, self-doubt, and despair is vividly portrayed, as the lyrics wrestle with the desire for relief and the crushing reality of feeling trapped in one's own head. Dark, raw, and introspective, 'No Witness' reflects the inner war with no escape in sight."

Regarding the album, Traitors explain that it "delves into the darkest corners of the human mind, exploring themes of mental anguish, inner torment, and destructive cycles," Shelton continues. "As a successor to the EP Night Terrors, this collection of tracks amplifies the intensity, confronting fears and personal demons head-on. The lyrics paint vivid pictures of isolation, manic episodes, self-loathing, and violent outbursts. Each song grapples with the overwhelming weight of trauma, regret, and fractured identity, offering no resolution but instead laying bare the relentless mental battles within. It's an unfiltered expression of pain and the struggle to survive amidst chaos."

In other words, PHOBIAS is not for the weak.

It's a sonically and emotionally pummeling record from back to front. It's a musical bloodletting that will leave you feeling cleansed afterwards.

TRAITORS ARE:
Tyler Shelton — Vocals
Alan De La Torre — Guitar

Fastbreak's "Fast Cars, Fast Women" Is Back On Vinyl, Thanks to Iodine Recordings + Label Partners With Big Wheel

In the late '90s, no one carried the torch for Youth Crew hardcore like Fastbreak.

Formed in 1994, the Connecticut band quickly made a name for themselves in the New England area, thanks to their explosive approach to fast-paced hardcore music and unrelenting positivity. Their sound was a true successor to the upbeat style of bands like Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today. Their energy made them a staple in Connecticut hardcore, as they became a fixture playing alongside bands like H2O, Bane, Ten Yard Fight, Right Brigade, and more.

Despite their significant impact on the hardcore scene, Fastbreak's recordings had long been out of print and unavailable on streaming services. This is why Iodine Recordings is proud to re-release Fastbreak's seminal debut album, Fast Cars, Fast Women. It'll be available on vinyl for the first time in 26 years! Collectors, rejoice!

It is available digitally today. The physical arrives on March 28. Pre-order it here.

While we have you, watch the video for "120 Bucks" below.

The song is the lead-off track from the album and is a one-minute ripper of fast, aggressive yet melodic hardcore. From the first note until the galloping outro, each band member is going all out.

"No, you haven't convinced me yet" implores the singer to a target of impassioned disappointment. A former friend, family member, or flame? Providing that we've all felt a similar betrayal, here's 60 vital seconds of fevered hardcore to scream along with!

Originally released in 1998, every idea, riff, and rhythm on the record feels as fresh as ever. Songs like "Said and Done" and "Places Trades" are bursting with pure exuberance and energy. In a time when bands were getting darker and gloomier, Fastbreak was a breath of fresh air, bringing a more inviting energy to the genre.

Fastbreak's ideas were extremely ahead of their time, predicting the future fusion of hardcore and pop-punk that would go on to take over the world. Their influence can be heard in countless bands that followed, blending the raw energy of hardcore with the immediacy of a positive attitude and approach. It’s a painfully underrated record, but thankfully, listeners now have a chance to realize just what was going on.

Fastbreak's Fast Cars, Fast Women features Patrick Rorick on vocals, Steven Pica and Neal St. Clair on guitar, Don Raymond on bass, and Luke Garro on drums. The album was produced by Dean Baltulonis and mastered at Metropolis Studios.

The release includes bonus tracks from Ten Yard Fight split 7" and Salad Days Demos. The expanded deluxe gatefold packaging displays dozens of never-seen photographs, as well as retrospective Essays from Rama Mayo of Big Wheel Recreation and Chris Wrenn of Bridge Nine Records

It was remastered by Jamal Ruhe (Guided By Voices, Death, Misfits).

As diehard scenesters know, members of Fastbreak went on to perform in In My Eyes, Piebald, and Right Brigade.
