On the EP, the band delivers an inimitable hybrid of gritty basement-bred hardcore boosted by death metal proficiency and explosive unpredictability. The EP also features guests on every track. "Every track features someone that has made an undeniable mark on Alabama hardcore over the years," the band explains about inviting so many of its friends to contribute to the release. "We do not expect you to recognize every name on this record, and that's the point."
As for the EP as a whole, the band has stated, "I Hope I Die Here is a love letter to Alabama and the Southeastern experience. It is an acknowledgment of suffering, and a proclamation of strength. This record is conceptually driven and more musically diverse than our previous EPs, on purpose. There is a distinct reason for each song to exist. We approach many topics, including what it's like to grow up under the boot of religion, fraternity culture, the dark side of a beloved landmark, local ecological exploitation, and more. We do not believe the world needs any more songs about how craaaaaazyyy of a guy you are, how much you hate your town, or how your ex was such a *checks notes* bitch for breaking up with you because you cheated on her."

Renowned guitarist and composer Ron 'BUMBLEFOOT' Thal is back with a brand-new instrumental album, 'Bumblefoot ...Returns!', set for release on January 24, 2025. Produced by John Osborne, “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” swells with longing from the very first stroke across the fiddle strings – a fitting introduction as McBryde and cowriters Chris Harris and Patrick Savage explored a shared sense of something missing, along with a desire for meaning and reconnection in a changing world.
“This one was all about where we live and the genre we love and realizing that the horse I rode in on got put out to pasture,” McBryde explained. “Instead of us saying, ‘Work ethic’s out the window, stick-to-it code’s pretty much dead and idealism is gone,’ it was easier to say that by saying there is no wild out west. That’s all gone.”

"'Stray' is a song that speaks deeply from the heart – inspired by all the dogs that remain unwaveringly loyal despite disappointment and pain," says the band.
"Chris Ellis, our singer, who has adopted street dogs himself, wanted to tell the story of an animal that continually seeks love but is left alone time and again. ‘Stray’ shows what true, unconditional loyalty means and reminds us that everyone deserves a home. It’s a musical call to give these strays a second chance."
The video for the single was created in cooperation with VETO, the association of European animal welfare organizations. The non-profit limited company, which is committed to the welfare of shelter and street animals, provided the ELLIS MANO BAND with the film material used for the music clip.
The first public airing of ELLIS MANO BAND’s fourth album 'MORPH' was performed during their support slot to rock legends Deep Purple, on their German tour in July 2024. The record features eleven tracks, including "For All I Care", which was one of the highlights in their set supporting the British rock legends. Powerful and characterised by tempo changes, it is a contemporary, modernised homage to the essence of classic rock from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. A quiet acoustic interlude is thrown in for good measure. A definite nod to the unforgotten Old School. Compositional sophistication, variety and incredible playing are the hallmarks of the Anglo-American sound of the ELLIS MANO BAND. So it was only logical to engage a global great for the cover art. The cartridge with the broken tip and flowers growing in ist case was realised by Canadian album design legend Hugh Syme (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Rush and many more). The music is just as impressive. It shows how the ELLIS MANO BAND continues its development in line with the album title.

An incredible cultural collision takes place on "Bekhauf." The track layers Bloodywood's gloriously gruff vocals and Indian folk sonic nuances with the sweetly melodic vocals of Japan's BABYMETAL. The hyper fast riffing and ferocious breakdown will incite moshpits and non-stop headbanging. Ultimately, the song reminds us that hard rock/metal is a universal language and welcoming to all styles, ethnicities, and genders. And that's truly a beautiful and brutal thing!
"'Bekhauf' means 'fearless' in Hindi," explains the band. "It was born out of the realization that fear can be seen as a choice, and that choice is our own. It's about using this knowledge to take control of our fears and eliminate the side of them that holds us back."
Bloodywood continue, "It also marks our first ever collaboration. We've been waiting to find the right artists to work with and when the possibility of the BABYMETAL collab emerged, we knew it was time. We were all fans of their music, but were still surprised by the level of synergy we managed to achieve on the track. It's a trilingual song and features English, Hindi. and Japanese, BABYMETAL even sang some parts in Hindi. but we think you can feel the message regardless and that's a testament to this synergy."

Bloodywood — comprised of Karan Katiyar, Jayant Bhadula, and Raoul Kerr — craft hard-hitting yet modern folk metal sound has made the world sit up, take notice, show up, and sing along. The band recently announced its worldwide signing to Fearless Records and shared the music/video for the song "Nu Delhi," which offers some insight into the band's history, as well as its home city. Bloodywood first caught the attention of the internet with their YouTube channel, when multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer Katiyar and vocalist Bhadula were about to get deadly serious about their craft. Bolstered by the support they were getting, Bloodywood dropped "Ari Ari" in 2018. A Punjabi folk song made famous in the early 2000s remix boom in India by hip-hop act Bombay Rockers, Bloodywood pushed it further with help from the gritty New Delhi-based conscious hip-hop artist/rapper Raoul Kerr.
With the additional accessibility from Kerr's English rap verses, Katiyar's inimitable flute melody, and Bhadula's powerful vocals, the band's first original song "Jee Veerey" dropped in 2018 and brought a flood of praise from around the world. With this release, the band discovered its sound and message. Songs like "Endurant" (an anti-bullying anthem) and "Machi Bhasad (Expect A Riot)" arrived in 2019 saw Bloodywood level up, adding Kerr as a full-time member. "We're trying to push the limits of the impact that music can have on the world," says Kerr. "Whether it's the battles within or the fight for a better world, our sound is meant to bring everyone together and win."
Joined on tour by drummer Vishesh Singh (a fixture since their early days), bassist Roshan Roy (a seasoned figure in New Delhi's indie music scene) and dhol player Sarthak Pahwa, Bloodywood took their music out of the studio and to concerts across Europe, UK and Russia for their first-ever tour. The sold-out "Raj Against The Machine Tour" in 2019 was proof that an Indian metal band’s global online following would convert into packed venues.
Even a global pandemic couldn't stop the juggernaut that was Bloodywood — "Yaad," released in early 2020 had deepened their storytelling. The band followed it up in late 2021 with "Gaddaar," taking aim at how politicians use religion to gain votes. Songs like "Aaj" and "Dana Dan" (the latter rallying against rape culture) built up to the release of their debut self-released album Rakshak in 2022. It was important to them to keep fighting the good fight, whether it was against one's closely-held inner demons or the decaying standards of global governance. It earned them a nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards in 2022.
Bloodywood went on to perform to packed crowds and at major global festivals — from Lollapalooza India, Download Festival, Bloodstock (UK), Hellfest (France), Summer Breeze (Germany) to Brutal Assault (Czechia), to Fuji Rock (Japan) and American mainstays like Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
In 2024, "Dana Dan" even made it to a pivotal sequence in the Jordan Peele-produced action movie Monkey Man, directed by and starring Dev Patel.
Now, after more than a year of chipping away at their new material, Bloodywood are ready to unleash to the world their second album in the first part of 2025 showing the depth and power of Indian Folk Metal.

The melancholic track “Das Leben der Anderen” criticizes modern societal ills like doom-scrolling through social media, overlaying the seemingly perfect lives of others with guttural screams. Meanwhile, the dark, new-wave-synth track “Manchmal kommen sie wieder” explores the eternal cycles of creation, destruction, and war. Some songs also reference film classics, including “Stirb Langsam,” a humorous celebration of escapism, which, in true NACHTBLUT style, conceals a sharp message. Tracks like “Kinder des Zorns” invite headbanging with especially hard riffs and tempo. Metal powerhouse BLEED FROM WITHIN have announced their new album Zenith that is set to be released on Apri 4th via Nuclear Blast Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed the video for their new single 'In Place Of Your Halo', a thunderous shot of modern metal fury that pays homage to their native Scotland with a bagpipe-backed refrain for the ages.

"In Place Of Your Halo marks the beginning of the next chapter for Bleed From Within. It is an anthem for those that feel like life has passed them by, or those that have been held back by their own limitations. We are killing the older version of ourselves in order to grow. This develops our resilience, a topic that underpins this band's journey and most of what we shout about. We've not had it easy, but neither has anyone else. This song is for all of us.
