NECROPHOBIC Announces New Album, Shares New Single "Stormcrow"

Swedish blackened death metal masters NECROPHOBIC will be releasing their tenth studio album, 'In the Twilight Grey,' on March 15, 2023 via Century Media Records! To celebrate, the band is now sharing the devastating first single, "Stormcrow," along with a music video! The clip was directed by Claudio Marino for Artax Film and can be found below.

The band comments: "'Stormcrow' was one of the first songs written for the new album. The idea was to take the very classic Necrophobic elements and blend them with a slow paced bridge with a strong heavy metal feel. The lyrical theme is about a wounded beast rising from the depths who lays his trust in a winged so called ‘truth sayer.' Maybe we should be careful about letting the stormcrows carry our words to the world…"

'In the Twilight Grey' is now available for pre-orders HERE and can be found in the following formats:

Ltd. Deluxe Gatefold combat green 2LP & LP-Booklet & Poster incl. 2 bonus tracks (1.000x)

Gatefold black LP

Gatefold dark green LP (300x)

Ltd. CD Mediabook (comes with a special, extended booklet and 2 bonus tracks)

Standard CD Jewelcase

Digital album

With over thirty years of active, nefarious service under their spikes and bulletbelts, NECROPHOBIC are undisputed legends of the death and black metal scene. Formed in 1989 by drummer Joakim Sterner, the Stockholm blackhearts propagated a singular and fearless vision from the very start.

Eschewing the self-conscious amateurism and primitive sonics that many of their peers held dear, NECROPHOBIC established a bold and vivid identity of their own, conjuring a densely melodic, but endlessly wicked take on macabre extreme metal that countless lesser bands have since emulated.

You can take a deep dive into their history via the rereleases of their entire back catalogue that Century Media Records made available in 2022 HERE.

Yet again “In the Twilight Grey” was produced, mixed and mastered by Fredrik Folkare (of death metal icons Unleashed) at Chrome Studios, Stockholm and engineered in close collaboration by Folkare and the band themselves. For the artwork they teamed up with Jens Rydén, another likeminded institution from the Swedish scene.

BLAME MY YOUTH Offer A Nostalgic Journey Through Heartbreak On New Single 'THE BREAK'

Following the release of Top 30 Alternative Radio hit “Prizefighter”, Blame My Youth, the alt-rock band making major waves with their rebellious and emotionally charged anthems, return with brand new single, 'The Break' today in collaboration with Billboard Top 100 Producer of 2023, Joey Moi (Morgan Wallen, HARDY). The track is out now via Big Loud Rock.

Listen to ‘The Break’ HERE. Watch the official music video below

Blame My Youth frontman and songwriter Sean Van Vleet, whose musical journey has seen him grace stages such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, takes both a nostalgic look back and a bold step forward with ‘The Break’. Delving deep into personal experiences, his latest self-penned opus takes the listener on a cathartic expedition down the footpaths of heartbreak and vulnerability. Elaborating on it’s creation, Van Vleet shares

“Writing this one with Joey Moi was a real good reminder that my heart hadn’t turned to stone yet. I was happy at the time when we wrote it, but I got to go down memory lane and knock on a door I had all boarded up. Somebody had asked me recently if I’d ever been broken up with before, and I said ‘yep’ and that was that. A couple weeks later when Joey and I were writing, I continued answering the question in this song.”

Blame My Youth saw early success with their first single “Right Where You Belong” landing as the closing credits theme on the GRAMMY-nominated soundtrack of hit movie, ‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’. Their debut EP, ‘Dance With My Demons’, provided a masterclass in Van Vleet’s knack for blending intricate emotional lyricism with huge, infectious hooks.

After a summer of touring across the UK and the US, the band is back to crafting the high-energy, infectious rock songs that have become their signature. Tracks like the recent “Fantastic” and “Prizefighter demonstrate the unique blend of experience and energy that the band bring to the table.

With “The Break”, Blame My Youth invites listeners on a poignant exploration of the bittersweet moments of love loss and the personal growth that follows. It's a song that resonates with anyone who's ever faced the turmoil of heartbreak, and still finds the strength to move forward. Combining seasoned experience with a vibrant, fresh energy, Blame My Youth are not just making music; they're perfectly encapsulating the raw moments and emotions that define the human condition against a backdrop of chart-conquering alt-rock anthems.

About Blame My Youth:

Lightning rarely strikes the same place twice, especially in the music industry. There are exceptions, though, and Sean Van Vleet is one of them. He formed Blame My Youth in 2020—a move that was solidified when the band’s first single “Right Where You Belong” was selected as the closing credits theme on the GRAMMY-nominated soundtrack of Bill & Ted Face the Music. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, follow-up single “Fantastic” picked up millions of streams and hit the Top 30 on the Active Rock radio charts. Now, current single “Prizefighter” is riding high on US Alternative radio. It’s an incredible start that demonstrates just how well Van Vleet’s songs connect with people. That all came after a prolonged period when, following the demise of his previous band Empires, Van Vleet was writing a lot for other artists (All Time Low, Oliver Tree, PVRIS)—as well as over 200 songs in TV shows, high profile ad campaigns and video games—but rarely for himself. That changed when he began working closely with Billboard Top 100 Producer of 2023 (and Big Loud Rock co-founder) Joey Moi. Whereas before their working relationship was divided strictly between songwriter (Van Vleet) and producer (Moi), in the studio one day the pair inadvertently began writing together and realized how much they loved the process. The result was “The Break”—the first of a number of songs Van Vleet and Moi have written together. Though infectious and upbeat, it’s also much more vulnerable and heart-torn than anything he’s ever made before, and signifies the start of what Van Vleet considers a brand new chapter for Blame My Youth. What’s more, it’s only going to get better and bigger from here.

Tooth & Nail Drops The Rocky Valentines x Starflyer 59 Split EP

Today, December 8, Tooth & Nail Records is releasing a split EP between classic T&N band Starflyer 59 and new band The Rocky Valentines. The Rocky Valentines features frontman Charlie Martin, who is the son of Starflyer 59 singer Jason Martin. So it's all in the family and a legacy release. Listen to the music, which is also available on vinyl, here

On the EP, Starflyer 59 reimagine two of their songs with an orchestral arrangement with Frank Lenz. The Rocky Valentines contribute two of their own tracks, as well.

"Tooth & Nail is celebrating their 30th anniversary, which is cool," says Jason. "We started with the label so long ago that we, of course, wanted to be involved. Things have now gone full-circle with my son being old enough to front his own band, so a split release seemed like a fun idea."

Charlie concurs, stating, "I've been writing and recording music for a couple years now, mostly with my dad. But the idea of us both having songs on the same release just seemed so cool to me."

The EP artwork was also designed by Ryan Clark, who is also a member of the extended Tooth & Nail/Solid State family, having been in both Training for Utopia and Demon Hunter.

Archetypes Collide Release "After Hours" EP Today + Share "Destiny (After Hours)" EP

Arizona upstarts ARCHETYPES COLLIDE — Kyle Pastor (vocals), Brandon Baker and Jared Knister (guitars), Ky Sanders (bass), and Tyler Flamm(drums) — have rather quickly established themselves as a band unafraid to blur the lines between safety and innovation in heavy music. Soaring vocals, melodies, and heavy grooves swirl with passion and precision. The band dropped its self-titled debut on earlier this year via Fearless Records. Get it here

Fresh off 2023 tours with Beartooth and Trivium, as well as We Came as Romans and Immure, the band is releasing the After Hours EP today, December 8. Get it
here

"We have a ton of cross-genre influences that creep into our sound. But rarely do those styles get an opportunity to take over the song. After Hours is our playground to let those influences run free and pay homage to the genres that make up the deep rooted DNA of Archetypes Collide," the band explains.

The band has also shared the video for "Destiny (After Hours)." Watch it below

Stay tuned for even more from Archetypes Collide in 2024.

ABOUT ARCHETYPES COLLIDE:
ARCHETYPES COLLIDE demand repeated listening, mixing everything from Linkin Park and Bring Me The Horizon to The Chainsmokers, and Stranger Things-style retro synths, into a unique musical identity. A collection of singles and EPs drew a devoted fanbase and the attention of Oshie Bichar, bassist for Beartooth. Bichar enlisted his management, and the pair took Archetypes Collide under their wing. Soon after, SiriusXM's Octane got behind songs like "Your Misery," "Becoming What I Hate," and "Above It All." The band appeared on major festivals like Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Welcome To Rockville, toured with genre giants The Amity Affliction, and crafted an ambitious self-titled debut album for Fearless Records. Archetypes Collide spent several weeks in the first part of 2022 making their inaugural full-length, with a super team surrounding them to execute their vision. Bichar produced alongside Nick Ingram (Dayseeker, Convictions, Hawthorne Heights) at Capital House Studio in Ohio. Additional production came from Jon Eberhard (Skillet, I Prevail, Until I Wake); The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers lent a creative hand as well. The resulting album, mixed by Jeff Dunne (Ice Nine Kills, Wage War, Make Them Suffer), captures the vibrant spirit of the 2010s-era Warped Tour with a postmodern edge. It's a diverse but singular mission statement, brimming with authenticity and hope. ARCHETYPES COLLIDE aren't bound by preconceived notions or limitations. As single Kyle Pastor explains simply: "Why not take every shot, in every direction, under the umbrella of hard rock and metal?"

LUCIFER - Release Video For New Single 'Slow Dance In A Crypt'

Heavy rock megalith LUCIFER have released a new single called 'Slow Dance In A Crypt'. The song is another precursor to the new album, LUCIFER V, which is due out on January 26th, 2024, on Nuclear Blast Records. Consisting of nine unholy hymns, LUCIFER's fifth offering can easily be regarded as their magnum opus and sees the band channeling all their strengths known from previous records into one monumental mass of electrifying heavy rock and roll.

'Slow Dance In A Crypt' shows a quieter side of LUCIFER while still allowing distorted guitars to soar during its anthemic chorus. Sounding very much like LUCIFER, the song is also a testament to the bands’ penchant for 60s rock and pop music. The corresponding music video by Chris Shonting is a thematic sequel to the last one, 'At The Mortuary', and continues its morbid story line about everlasting love that transcends death, all shot in the style of late 60s George A. Romero.

Furthermore, LUCIFER are pleased to announce a few more dates for their THE SATANIC PANIC EUROPEAN TOUR 2024, the first leg of which they will be co-headlining with NWOBHM legends, ANGEL WITCH. On the second leg they will be joined by German blackened heavy metal band ATTIC. Rising stars THE NIGHT ETERNAL from Germany will be the support on all dates. ABOUT LUCIFER

Since its inception in 2014 In Berlin, the highly prolific band led by charismatic singer Johanna Platow Andersson has released four electrifying albums on Rise Above (LUCIFER I) and Century Media Records (LUCIFER II-IV), as well as and numerous stand-alone singles infused with 1970s hard rock, proto heavy metal, doom and occult rock, with a nod to their main influences such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram & Blue Öyster Cult. They have played over 200 shows in the Europe, Japan, North & South America, including festivals such as KISS Kruise, Psycho Las Vegas, Hellfest, Wacken and many more, most recently supporting the band GHOST on their European tour in spring 2023. Two of their shows have been recorded and broadcasted by prestigious German national TV program Rockpalast.

LUCIFER, now located in Stockholm, have been nominated twice for a Swedish Grammy in the category 'Best Hardrock/Metal Album' as well as the Swedish Radio Award P3 and several GAFFA nominations. Amongst others, they have graced the cover of the leading US metal magazine, Decibel, before their first album was released.

The group has concluded recording their fifth studio album, LUCIFER V, the first one to be released by their new label, Nuclear Blast Records, due out on January 26th 2024. Although LUCIFER is known to notoriously deliver critically acclaimed albums, supreme songwriting and quality recordings, LUCIFER V is rumored to be their best album yet. Combining elements of all their previous albums into one monumental mass of electrifying heavy rock and roll. Eerie landscapes shaped by soaring guitar riffs, the thunderous pounding of bass and drums from some sort of groovy inferno, haunted melodies to weep into your drink to, the screeching tires of a 1971 Cadillac hearse, the humorous morbidity and tragic wit of Johanna’s lyrics. If death had a best friend, it would be LUCIFER and they would hang out together at the local cemetery, shooting the shit. In November 2023, LUCIFER embarked on a full North American co-Headline tour with occult rock legends, Coven.  Catch LUCIFER live in February 2024 when LUCIFER brings The Satanic Panic Tour to Europe together with Angel Witch and guests Attic and The Night Eternal.

Timelost To Release New Album "Drained" + Share Video For "Eternal Vibe"

Today marks a pivotal moment for Timelost (Philadelphia, PA), as they announce their highly anticipated second full-length album, Drained, through Church Road Records. The album is set to bring joy to fans old and new with its energetic blend of garage rock and nostalgic nod to the alternative rock sounds of the 90's.

Check out the video for their new single "Eternal Vibe"
below.

"Eternal Vibe is about not giving a fuck about anyone's opinion anymore. Take your negativity elsewhere because I will not be listening." - Shane Handal[Guitar/Vocals]

Pre-order Drained
here.

Born out of a dispersed network of friends collaborating digitally, Timelost has undergone a remarkable evolution since their inception. The band has since found its footing in a sound that pays homage to the great alternative rock bands of the past while incorporating a contemporary influence.

Drained represents the latest chapter in Timelost's musical pilgrimage. Recorded and mixed by the skilled hands of fellow Philadelphian Scoops Dardaris (known for his work with Prince Daddy & The Hyena, They Are Gutting A Body Of Water, Another Michael), the album boasts a rich and dynamic production that brings the band's sound to new heights. Mastered by Matt Poirier, a luminary in the field whose portfolio includes The War On Drugs, The National, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

With influences reminiscent of iconic bands like Wavves, Weezer, and Dinosaur Jr, Timelost invites listeners to embark on a journey through the raw, unapologetic energy of Drained. The album's tracks, laden with infectious hooks and introspective lyrics, weave a narrative that reflects the band's growth and exploration of new musical territories.

About the album, Handal says "Drained is about the continuous beating of life. The state of the world, personal responsibilities, socializing, being in a band, all of it just being exhausting and wanting to burn it down or run away.

We originally wrote 7 songs and it felt tired and too similar to our previous stuff, so we dropped almost all of them and started new. We leaned into a more simple and fun approach to songwriting and ended up writing 18 songs over 2+ years. Drained is the best 10."

VITRIOL Unleashes Ferocious New Single, "Weaponized Loss"

PRE-ORDER

Death metal battalion VITRIOL is now unleashing yet another ferocious new single, "Weaponized Loss," along with the visualizer! The track is taken from the band's upcoming sophomore full-length, 'Suffer & Become,' which is due on January 26, 2024 via Century Media Records! The clip, which was produced by Vile Luxe Studio and directed/edited by Steve Blanco, can be found below.

VITRIOL guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen comments, "'Weaponized Loss' is similar in spirit to 'The Flowers of Sadism' in that it frames the fruits of trauma as a circumstantial strength when one is still at the mercy of an oppressive environment. Becoming well acquainted with death and loss at an early age can better equip you to walk away from situations and relationships that are harming you. Cultivating a willingness to experience painful loss voluntarily, while being dangerous, can be a very valuable tool in the pursuit of survival."

Pre-orders are now live for 'Suffer & Become' HERE. The album will be available digitally as well as in Standard CD Jewelcase, Ltd. Deep Blood Red LP (All ex-US Retail), Orange Crush LP (All US Retail), and Red / Yellow / Black Transp. Splatter LP (Band Exclusive).

For Portland, Oregon's VITRIOL, nothing comes easy. Nothing. The title of their second Century Media album, 'Suffer & Become,' says it all. "The title really sums it up," says guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen. "I pushed things to a point while making this album where it almost became untenable. Things that were supposed to be done in weeks took months. It wasn't easy, but I think it was suffering well spent."

At the core of 'Suffer & Become' lies a profound sense of extremity and unease. This very essence defines Vitriol as the vanguard in death metal's evolutionary path—a sonic landscape characterized by its profound darkness, density, and the infusion of nanotechnological precision interwoven with intense, seething emotions. Not easy listening in the slightest. Since forming in 2013, Rasmussen and longtime co-conspirator, bassist, and co-vocalist Adam Roethlisberger have worked with a single-minded vision: to push the genre to its breaking point and invent a new uncompromising paradigm in the process. VITRIOL is a masterclass in pain – and that's just their jumping-off point.

Recounting VITRIOL's initial journey into the outer fringes of extremity, Rasmussen is characteristically thoughtful. "I was starving for something that didn't pull any punches," says Kyle of VITRIOL's caustic mission statement, which detonated into the realm of extreme metal with 2013's 'Antichrist' demo. "Death metal was important to me because it speaks to an aggression, a frustration that I had when I was younger. It wasn't just a sonic connection but an emotional connection, which made music almost a means to an end. What I saw happening in extreme metal at the time was almost a removal of emotion in favor of musicality, that fire, that piss and vinegar spirit. Basically, I wanted something that wanted me dead."

With 2017's 'Pain Will Define Their Death' EP, VITRIOL took its spot as one of the underground's most uncompromising exponents, leading them to join forces with Century Media. The resultant album, 2019's "To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice," was nothing short of a crucial next step for the band and the genre itself. Decibel Magazine said, "Vitriol leave no doubt they are one of the best the genre has to offer, with shades of Nile, Hate Eternal, and Anaal Nathrakh frequently peeking through." Hitting the road that year, at first in Europe with Nile and then in the US with Cattle Decapitation and Atheist, and then Vader before the onset of Covid, VITRIOL was quick to establish themselves as much of an uncompromising force onstage as they are on record.

"Doing 'Black Seeds of Vengeance' alongside Karl Sanders [of Nile] onstage in Europe on our very first tour was nothing short of a 'pinch me' moment," Kyle recounts from VITRIOL's early touring days. "More recently, we were touring with Morbid Angel, and Steve Tucker, who is my favorite Morbid Angel vocalist, came out of his dressing room in a VITRIOL t-shirt and exclaimed that we were one of his favorite new bands! That blew my mind as a fan, first and foremost – a total 'Holy Fuck!' moment."

'Suffer & Become' is nothing short of a benchmark for VITRIOL (rounded out by guitarist Daniel Martinez and Matt Kilner). It's as dense and blackened as anything to erupt from Rasmussen's vision of sonic disorder. From the onset of the opening track, "Shame and Its Afterbirth," there's a new sense of openness, grandeur, and occasional beauty in VITRIOL's aural arsenal. "I wanted to have an album that had a stark duality to it," says Kyle. "Very high highs and very low lows. We're very familiar with the lows but not so much with the triumphant highs. I wanted the album to have more of a sense of optimism to it, both lyrically and musically. I wanted the album to convey a sense of optimism that probably gets lost in the black maelstrom that is the first album."

Produced by Rasmussen and mixed by Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation), 'Suffer &

Become' isn't merely the sound of VITRIOL upping the ante in death metal's musical arms race; it is also the sound of salvation for its driving force. "Living in the world of that first album was very difficult for me," says Rasmussen. "It's not a nice place. It was very intentionally imbalanced in the same way a horror film is imbalanced. I wanted a healthier world for me to live in, and I believe I achieved that."

Not that the writing and recording of 'Suffer & Become' was anything short of soul-rending. Rasmussen labored over the creation of the album in the studio, on tour in hotel rooms, to the point of painstaking obsessiveness. Kyle is straightforward about the grueling record-making process and its personal impact. "The record feels a bit like a Jungian Dante's Inferno," he states. "Plumbing the circles of my personal, psychological, and spiritual hell and then purposely refocusing it so it's not the unhinged, dark catharsis of the first album. This record is a lot more vulnerable."

Songs like "Weaponized Loss" or "The Flowers of Sadism" are what Kyle describes as a "dark baptism" in comparison to the absolute darkness of "To Bathe…". The sound of VITRIOL remains as joyless and dark as ever, but with a glimmer of hope. VITRIOL has taken its trauma-put-to-sound approach to the next level and discovered a new sense of beauty in the blackness. 'Suffer & Become' is death metal with a bloody, beating heart.

MERRIMACK unveil first single "Sulphurean Synods"

Ever since they emerged from the underground back in 1995, MERRIMACK have been recognized as torchbearers of genuine black metal. The French band have played prestigious festivals like Hellfest and toured Europe with Mayhem and the US with Marduk, all while staying true to their cultish roots.

Today, Merrimack are announcing their sixth album. Of Grace and Gravity descends even deeper into the netherworld. Watch the surreal video for lead single "Sulphurean Synods" below.

Of Grace and Gravity comes out March 8, 2024.

Pre-order:
https://redirect.season-of-mist.com/MerrimackGraceGravity

"Sulphurean Synods" is a dark yet cosmic journey. Wallowing riffs and blasting drums collide with hypnotized pangs of dissonance. Goats languish the foot of the heavens, but this latest revelation from Merrimack exposes the futility of believing in even occult ministries. Vestal's vocals spread like toxic fumes over the ghoulish growls of Misþyrming vocalist D.G.

"Of Grace and Gravity represents the two opposing forces crossing where the spine of the world emerges", Merrimack says. "One strives to reach grace, the divine particle, while bounded by gravity and the weight of time.

We have devoted ourselves to emphasize a more natural and authentic expression of our art, in its primitive form.

For "Sulphurean Synods", D.G. (Misþyrming) has joined Vestal to mock the modern synods and their corrupted faith."

MERRIMACK are back with their new album Of Grace and Gravity. Their third release for Season of Mist arrives after the re-print of their long sold-out debut Ashes of Purification, which followed the sizeable impact that their last album, Omegaphilia, had on the Black Metal Scene.

Merrimack
can be categorised as extreme traditionalists that are driven by a burning desire to hone their skills and striving to bring their art to perfection. The band was founded by guitarist Perversifier a.k.a. Amfortas in 1994 with a clear vision to keep the black metal flame burning as an act of aesthetic terrorism – as adamantly based in the underground as opposed to any attempts to co-opt, commercialise or turn the style into a self-parody. Introduced by a number of demo recordings (‘Prologue’ – 1995, ‘Act 1’ – 1995, ‘Horns Defeat Thorns’ – 2001) and split releases (with Hirilorn in 1998 and Sargeist in 2002), the French gained respect in the scene by remaining true to their words.

Although Merrimack
decided to reach out to a larger audience with the release of their first full-length ‘Ashes of Purification’, the Parisians did not sever their roots with the underground at any time. With the following albums, Of Entropy and Life Denial (2006) and Grey Rigorism (2009), Merrimack closed ranks with the most influential, active, and authentic acts of the French black metal scene. Their classic combination of harsh sound with epic structures appealed to critics and fans alike and put the band on their celebrated first US tour with Marduk and Nachtmystium in 2009.

After recording The Acausal Mass (2012) in the legendary Necromorbus Studio (Watain, Destroyer 666) again, Merrimack
embarked on a European tour with Norwegian icons Mayhem and accepted invitations to prestigious festivals such as Hellfest in their native France, Germany’s Party-San Open Air and Summer Breeze as well as Montreal’s Messe des Morts in Canada.

‘Omegaphilia’ breathed fresh life into an exhausted genre. While ignoring epithets such as progressive, post-, and avant-garde, the the band focused on razor-sharp songwriting, captivating melodies, and close to perfect arrangements.

The ensemble now presents their latest album 'Of Grace and Gravity', an aural journey where grotesque assemblies of roosters and goats languish at the foot of heavens. Wallowing guitars and hypnotized passages of blasting drums collide with gravity-bound atoms in oblivion occlusion. Merrimack, in their enigmatic mastery, expose the futility of belief in occult ministries and slashes at the mask of the sky. The listener, questioned in their faith of the shadows and occult idols. Dare believe in the sulfurous whispers echoing through this blackened masterpiece.

Leeds-based songstress Stella Wembley shares 'Wasting My Time (Cold Minimal Wave Remix)' from new EP Watch the medieval goth-inspired video for 'Wasting My Time'

"Embraces the mystique of darkwave while entangling itself in the enchanting melodies of early new romanticism... a Siouxie-like vocal weaves in and out, a mesmerizing dance" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Enchanting, with a haunting quality that draws the listener in. Her voice blends seamlessly with the early ’80s electro anthem style, creating a mysterious and enigmatic sonic landscape that feels both nostalgic and fresh" ~ Skylight Webzine

“There is a longing within the lyrics as well as a diversity in the music that both tugs on the heart and pulls with the beat in a way that leaves the listener in a state of reflection and admiration” ~ Jammerzine

"On the verge between darkwave and electro-goth, Stella Wembley presents a haunting track that fluctuates between danceability and heart pounding shrieks, conjuring primal emotions. This spine-tingling offering qualifies as sorcerer music" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Leeds-based Italian-born artist
Stella Wembley shares 'Wasting My Time (Cold Minimal Wave Remix)', with a vibrant dancefloor beat over icy synth pop. This is the second track from her recently-released 'Wasting My Time' EP. Presenting four tracks of sheer electro-goth delight surrounding the track 'Wasting My Time', Wembley proves herself to be a rising star of the UK dark synth and gothic scene.

A vocalist, lyricist, composer, music producer and video director, Wembley began her musical career in Italy as a soprano while studying opera at the Royal Conservatory of Music ‘San Pietro a Majella’ in Naples.

Exploring the esoteric, mystical and ultimately death, rebirth and destiny, the loop- and arpeggio-driven synth backdrop of 'Wasting My Time' feeds a retro new-wave vibe, and the catchy chorus underlines multiple conflicting sensations from dark melancholy to fiery self-expression.

"'Wasting My Time' is about self-confidence, self-empowerment, hope, change and transformation. Whenever there is a traumatic experience, I take the pain and put it into art, creating a song. The lyrics are autobiographical, and reference the difficulties I have gone through in the last 14 years, which I've finally overcome," says Stella Wembley.

"Betrayal, judgment and abandonment have been a constant in my life, and extremely painful, especially because it came from the people closest to me - family, friends - and having to manage this as well as my music career and record label wasn’t easy. This is how this song was born but, above all, it represents a new chapter in my life. Today, I feel powerful, and stronger than ever. I left the past in the past and cut all toxic relationships from my life. I love myself and I am finally free."

Directed and produced by Stella Wembley,
the video – set in Medieval 13th century England – was filmed at Kirkstall Abbey and Adel Woods in Leeds by Riccardo Cavani for London Filmmakers. Stella cast 12 females, working with a small team she hired and directed herself, in addition to writing the script and creating the storyboard for the video.

Two of the remixes - 'Bionic Visions Electro Remix' and 'Bionic Visions Dark Ambient Remix' - were created by
Enrico Knob aka Bionic Visions, an Italian music producer, arranger and re-mixer.

Stella Wembley comments, "These remixes are sublime, I really don't know which one I prefer between the two. I'm very happy to have met Enrico Knob, who is a fantastic producer and has understood straight away my music and vision. The electro version has fantastic drum samples, which Enrico programmed, and amazing sounds. I love the analog synths. I think this electronic version is perhaps more modern than my "retro" version. The melody stands out a lot, and although the drums are very present the song still remains nostalgic."

Upon moving to London in 2017, Wembley found inspiration and new avenues as a musician, performing at venues in Leeds, Blackpool and London. Stella Wembey is also now the CEO of her own independent label Gothic Empire Records. Armed with MicroKorg synthesizer, she began writing and producing music in 2018, releasing her debut EP
‘All That I Need’ and dark video in 2019, followed by the ‘Images of Death' EP (2020) and ‘Loving The Alien’ EP (2022) and cabaret-style video.

Channeling her lifelong love of dark poetry, horror stories, macabre literature and cinema into music, Wembley leads the listener into a haunted realm, laying bare her soul in a psycho-drama of tragedy and melancholic sensuality. Powerful, yet with a hint of vulnerability, she is like a beautiful siren calling us to join her in her dark universe.

Stella Wembley has collaborated or performed with Lloyd Price (The Frixion), Auger, Inkubus Sukkubus, Zeitgeist Zero, Last July, Rome Burns and Machine Rox. Stella is currently working on her new album 'The Alchemy of the Dark Arts', which will feature Michael Ciravolo (a.k.a. Beauty in Chaos) on guitar.

The 'Wasting My Time' EP is out now, available everywhere digitally, including
Apple Music and Spotify.

KARAMELIEN presents 'Do You Really Want To Go', a sunburst indiepop taste of their debut 'Living With The Moon' album

"This invigorating album presents soulful indie pop at its best. A breath of fresh air that is rich on melody, its lyrics range from confessional to tongue-in-cheek with Kaleido’s sublime vocals to smoothen this pleasureful ride. A captivating offering!" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Upbeat, a joyous folk-rock affair... bedecked in kaleidoscopic sixties sparkle, a slight splash of psychedelia and a whole tsunami of charm and grace" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A hug of soulful indie pop with groove as infectious as its melodic breath and lyrical smile is poetic... seductive captivation" ~ Ringmaster Review

''A true work of beauty and professionalism, taking you to your very own ascension heights" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Indie pop-rock duo
Karamelien presents 'Do You Really Want To Go',  a groovy anthem for high-heel haters and canapé avoiders everywhere, along with a cheeky video produced by award-winning filmmaker Eveshka Ghost. Filmed near to Léanie’s house in East Grinstead, West Sussex, this clip highlighting the duo’s great friendship, with neither of them taking themselves very seriously.

This is the final single from their debut album,
'Living With The Moon', a grounding 9-track offering that breaks from the typical songwriter mould. Its sonic offerings draw inspiration from fuzzy Lo-fi, storytelling, trip hop, and reverb-drenched 1960s film soundtracks, with a greater emphasis on beats and basslines.

Karamelien is singer-songwriter
Léanie Kaleido and guitarist Mark Foster - two long-time friends, whose music has forged an even stronger bond between them. This Karamelien album follows the three albums that Léanie Kaleido released as a solo artist.

‘Although I’ve always been a fairly sociable person, I’ve never enjoyed the formality of parties, particularly ones where you’re expected to dress in a certain way. I hate high heels and sparkly dresses. Eurgh. And I always enjoy the chance to write a tongue-in cheek ditty, where I can let myself get a bit narky about silly things. I’d woken up with the chorus line in my head and it grew from there," says Léanie Kaleido.

"I initially recorded the track at my home studio, then we worked further on it with Mark Gardener at OX4 Sound. I played Gardener’s gorgeous Rhodes for the main keyboard track, which was a treat. However, the song needed more work to get it finished so, later, at Ian Caple’s studio, Lee Pomeroy came in to add some live bass and he gave it a bit of a ‘Blockheads vibe’ in the chorus. I’ve always loved Norman Watt-Roy from the Blockheads – I’ve seen them live 3 or 4 times and that man is a veritable sweaty bass genius – so Lee’s basslines, as always, made me very happy indeed."

Mark Foster adds, "‘Do You Really Wanna Go is what might have occurred if Beck had visited East London’s Drum and Bass Clubs in the mid-90s while writing 'Odeley' – warm, washed out jazzy vibes, with a kick of DIY breakbeat to keep things just the right side of Shoreditch."

While Lee Pomeroy (ELO, Take That, Rick Wakeman, Yes), one of the UK's leading bass players, joined the duo on most of the album's tracks, the song
'Ascension Heights' features bassist Morris 'Mo' Pleasure (Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Ray Charles), gracing the track with his funkadelic bassline.

Karamelien recently presented
'Digital Imogen', a feisty in tongue-in-cheek warning of the dangers of obsessing over own photos on social media, which was recorded and produced by Ian Caple (Massive Attack, Tricky, Mansun, Tindersticks, Vanessa Paradis), who was also EMI's in-house engineer back in the day.

The duo earlier released the title track
'Living With The Moon' and 'Wait For Me'with piano, mixing and production by Chris Mars (A Flock of Seagulls, Damian Wilson). Two other tracks were produced by RIDE's Mark Gardener at OX4 Sound Studio - 'Lionhearts' and 'Ascension Heights', which features a guitar sample from Léanie's late father Top Topham (original founding guitarist of The Yardbirds) and also involved Paul Statham (Dido, Simple Minds, Kylie Minogue).

The 'Living With The Moon' album is out now and available from fine digital platforms, including
 Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Formed in the summer of 2019, The Lonely Ones are a four piece, vocal-oriented hard rock band with an ear for melody and a taste for success. The group features Marty McCoy on guitar / vocals, Tommy Johnson on drums, Jymmy Tolland on guitar / vocals and Tru Roberts on bass / vocals. Being no strangers to the hardships of the music industry, The Lonely Ones consist of former members of Bobaflex. Together, they knew what they wanted and knew how to get it; by combining their knowledge and experiences to achieve a common goal. With determined perseverance and an energized drive to triumph, they were ready to release their first two singles independently in March of 2020; with the titles “Eternal Sadness" and "The Lonely One."

A few months after their initial introduction to the world of rock, the band decided to take a major leap of faith and release their re-imagined version of Queen's classic song "Flash." There’s always the risk of scrutiny and criticism when it comes to covering classic songs, especially ones that are still regarded with high praise from the still thriving fan base, but the band was confident their rendition would not only honor the original but also garner renewed attention for the hit theme. Any doubts were squashed when the song and video were met with rave reviews, including those of Brian May from Queen and Sam J. Jones, Flash Gordon himself.

Brian May was quoted as saying, “What a fantastic cover! I didn’t realize they were going to go into The Hero and the whole reprise ... magnificent!"

Sam J Jones adds, "This is one of the best covers I have ever heard and seen. What a gifted group - The Lonely Ones are for every one of us, from the 1980’s to right now!"

Humbled by the response from fans, listeners and legends in the entertainment industry, the band was spurred on in their pursuit to create groundbreaking original music. In September of 2020, The Lonely Ones released another brand new single titled "Real Big Trouble." What started out as a fun and creative session quickly turned out to be one of their most rewarding. This is one of the heaviest songs the band has ever written, but it also gives a look into what sounds inspire them, such as Thin Lizzy and Beartooth.

By February of 2021, the band had signed on with Imagen Records and released another single called “Change the Station.” This release had 9 active rock stations add the single in the first week and they were a feature artist on Spotify's Rock Hard editorial playlist as well as over 100 other playlists in the first week as well.

The next release through Imagen was "Dyin' All Night Long" in June of 2021. A song about an abusive relationship and how often times excuses are made over and over for that person. The lyrics come from the perspective of a victim having had enough of it.

The band released two more singles titled "Gettin' High" (2021) and “The Way Out”(2022) via Imagen Records before ultimately going independent.
The band spent the summer of 2022 getting back to the grind and writing new songs. The Lonely Ones’ released "Bedroom Door" in October of 2022.

The Lonely Ones have played shows with Sevendust, Nonpoint, Fozzy, Royal Bliss, Seven Year Witch, Black Top Mojo, September Mourning and many more.

In addition, the band is endorsed by: Orange Amps, Westone Audio, Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evan's Heads, Vater Sticks, Ibanez, Frog Amplification, Tech 21 Amplification, Michael Kelly Guitars, SIT Strings, Rare Buzz Effects and Strüng, which is guitar string jewelry that raises money for music education.

Reece Young Signs to UNFD + Shares Video For New Single "Dark"

New Jersey-born and raised Reece Young, who emerged and gained traction via his self-released early music, has signed to UNFD!

Young, now Nashville-based, is "one of us" — a music obsessive who has channeled his passion for the scene and his favorite artists into making his own and getting onto the stage himself. With a modus operandi of sharing tales of facing adversity, overcoming personal struggles, by tying open-vein vulnerability and authenticity to gargantuan choruses, the time is now for Reece Young to set about joining the big leagues and emulating what his heroes have done before him.

Speaking of his debut UNFD single "DARK," Young shares, "My goal with my music has always been to help listeners with whatever they are going through. When I was at my absolute lowest, relating to the lyrics in music was all i had in my corner supporting me. It truly saved my life, and I want to try and aid as many lives as I can with my own words."

"'DARK' is about the fear of death," he adds. "The chorus begs the question: What if we died out tomorrow? How would we be remembered? Will I have lived a fulfilling life? It's all too much to think about at once, at least for me. The goal with this track (and project to follow) was to make my mark on the scene I've admired from a far since before I even thought about making music myself."

EXOCRINE Are Larger Than Life on New Single

EXOCRINE have been blending ultra technical and extraordinarily rapid death metal with philosophical musings since 2015. But Legend marks a new chapter. While still choked-full of dissonant finger-tapping and glitchy breakdowns, the French band's new album rages from within.

"We see Legend as a reflection of our existence, of what we create and what we wish to love of ourselves in the end", says lead guitarist Sylvain Octor Perez.

Watch the destructive visualizer for new single "Life" below.

"Life" takes you on an exhilarating journey through the realms of technical death metal. The new single is a relentless sonic force filled with ultra-technical guitar passages that weave seamlessly through thunderous drumbeats. All the while, Exocrine expand their interpretation of the genre, filling their destruction with atmospheric passages.

Here's what "Life" means for Exocrine bassist/vocalist Jordy Besse:

"Life" is for us a 'mise en abyme' of the failings of humanity through an
antagonist character who comes to shaking up what man believes to be at the
universe's scale."

Born from the depths of Bordeaux, France, EXOCRINE is a technical death metal juggernaut, a force that has redefined the very essence of the genre. Founded by the guitar-virtuoso Sylvain Octor-Perez, alongside the formidable talents of Nicolas La Rosa and Jordy Besse, this trio embarked on their relentless journey in 2013, marking the inception of a musical saga that would leave an indelible mark on the world of extreme music.

Exocrine's debut album, 'Unreal Existence,' unleashed in 2015, was nothing short of a revelation. It showcased the band's audacious creativity, instantly distinguishing them within the technical death metal scene. With labyrinthine compositions, ferocious riffs, and relentless drumming, Exocrine's music delved into uncharted territories of sonic complexity.

In the years that followed, Exocrine solidified their signature sound, with albums such as 'Ascension' in 2017 and 'Molten Giant' in 2018, upon the latter release, Théo Gendron joined as a new member – forming the current-standing quartet of musicians. These releases cemented their reputation as pioneers of the genre, pushing the boundaries of what technical death metal could achieve. The band's compositions are like sonic mazes, constantly evolving, keeping listeners captivated at every twist and turn.

Their 2022 release, 'The Hybrid Suns,' was yet another testament to their musical prowess. It demonstrated their unyielding commitment to pushing the envelope and exploring new realms of technical complexity.

Now, as the anticipation reaches a fever pitch, Exocrine is poised to release their next full-length opus, 'Legend.' This forthcoming masterpiece promises to be an epic chapter in their already storied career, destined to secure their place as legends within the hallowed halls of technical death metal.

Exocrine are architects of sonic transcendence, explorers of the uncharted, and pioneers of the unimaginable. With each release, they redefine the limits of technical death metal, and 'Legend' is poised to be their most audacious and groundbreaking endeavor yet, a true testament to their status as legends in the making.

New York indiepop artist ROSE ALAIMO releases 'A Place To Go When You Need To Hide' album

Ithaca, NY-based indiepop artist Rose Alaimo has released 'A Place To Go When You Need To Hide', her third full-length album. Honest, hopeful and emotive, this record follows Alaimo's internal struggles as she finds her way through darkness to exercise her own will-power, freedom of choice and self-empowerment.  It is no coincidence that this album entails an element of contrast between light and darkness.

Alaimo also presents the video for the album's first single
'Stars', which is about finding an unexpected moment of stillness in the midst of a crazy world.

"'A Place to Go When You Need to Hide' is a concept album, a story, about the high highs and low lows of life and how they can be a lot to navigate without losing ourselves in the waves. About how we all have a place inside of ourselves, where we can go when the world gets to be too much - where we can stop for a moment of stillness and, from here, actively *choose* how we want to move through whatever circumstances life presents us with. It is loosely based on the quote "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. And in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our responses. In our response lies our growth and our freedom" by Viktor Frankl," says Rose Alaimo.

"These songs were written during the worst parts of Covid, amid massive political unrest and racial tension in the US, an uptick in school shootings, the onset of Russia's war on Ukraine, and more generalized anger and tension between people than I have ever seen. These events also coincided with difficulties in my personal life, including a massive period of burnout surrounding my career and being diagnosed with long-term post-infectious Lyme disease. Lyrically and musically, the album chronicles parts of my own path as I navigated through this period of darkness."

A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Rose Alaimo writes, sings, performs, programs, records and co-produces her own music.  Additional production and mastering was provided by Jamie Hill (Nada Surf, Zola Jesus, House of Pain), at Department of Energy Management in Tacoma, WA.

Having been involved in numerous music projects to date, she assimilates a diverse range of genres (from rock, metal and blues to folk and a cappella) into her own music. She also has a special obsession with creating vocal harmonies and is a veterinarian and vegetable farmer.

The emotional range of this album mirrors the intense highs and lows of life, from soft and dreamy lullabies, where we remember those we have loved who are no longer with us (
'Stars'), to anthemic, thrashy songs protesting Russia's war on Ukraine and some of the unethical and dangerous world leaders we have seen at work over the last few years ('Resist The Force') . But there are also bright, upbeat pop-rock songs with shimmering vocal harmonies, calling us to remember and honor the interconnectedness that exists between all of us ('Power Lines').

Several pieces, inspired by dark blues and psychedelia, explore the difficulty of letting go of old, familiar, toxic patterns for something new and healthier due to the fear of making changes in a world that feels increasingly unstable (
'The Devil That You Know'). The album wraps up with 'Here I Am', a grounding and hopeful reprise medley reminding us of the stillness and peace that we can find, even in times of trouble, and the importance of cultivating that peace - not only for ourselves, but for everyone around us.

Rose Alaimo debuted with her acoustic-based album
'The Importance of Centers' in 2019, followed by the gritty and anthemic 'Grow' in 2021.  Rose's lyrics trend toward the dreamy and existential with a voice that has been most commonly referred to as "honest." As a session musician, she has also collaborated on other projects with artists from Paris, Australia, LA, Alaska, and South Africa.

'A Place To Go When You Need To Hide' is out now and available via fine music platforms, including
Bandcamp, Spotify and Apple Music .

PROFILER - release video for new single 'ANIMO'

Today PROFILER have released a video for their new single 'ANIMO', the second track to be revealed from their upcoming debut album, A Digital Nowhere, that will be released on February 16th through SharpTone Records.

Vocalist and guitarist Mike Evans comments: "ANIMO is almost a continuation of Delay. It was written in the winter months while in a relationship during the lockdowns of Covid 19. This was a pretty dark time for a lot of people where the light seemed to fade due to the mass trauma of the pandemic. It is based around the importance of having people in your life to reach out to while you are going through tough times. It is about making mistakes and becoming reckless when all hope seems lost but learning from these experiences to transmute into self-guidance for future reference."

Profiler is a Nu-Metal reawakening from the mind of vocalist and guitarist Mike Evans.

This band is inspired by those who have incited change in genres, arts, and theories. It's a weight of legacy that Profiler is comfortable shouldering, backed by SharpTone Records, its home since 2020.

After starting as a solo project in Bristol, UK, Mike stepped out from the studio and onto the stage, enlisting bassist/vocalist Joe Johnson and drummer Oscar Hocking. In early 2023, Oscar departed to be replaced by Brad Ratcliffe, cementing the line-up that would forge 2024's debut album, A Digital Nowhere.

Profiler's nu-metal-grunge-alt-rock, call it what you want, is an abrasive distorted soundscape that reverently glances back to those genres' heydays. Profiler is for anyone who misses or missed the contagious nineties Seattle grunge movement or the explosion of nu-metal that dominated the 00s and the genre-bending bands they made a path for.

PROFILER is:
Mike Evans - Vocals, Guitar
Joe Johnson - Bass
Brad Ratcliffe - Drums
