EXTINCTION A.D. Get Confrontational On Newly Announced EP 'Ruthless Intent'; Drop New Track "Prodigal Scum"

Long Island, NY metal wrecking crew Extinction A.D. have announced their most confrontational release yet with upcoming EP ‘Ruthless Intent’, due out January 12th, 2024 via Unique Leader Records. Pre-orders available now HERE.

The band has also dropped their vicious new single and accompanying music video “Prodigal Scum” to usher in the news. Matching raw, personal introspection with circle-pit-ready ferocity, the track is a perfectly brutal example of the band’s no-holds-barred combination of metal, hardcore and punk. Stream the new track HERE and watch the video below.

From its inception, the band knew the ‘Ruthless Intent’ EP would capture a more visceral energy than their previous releases. Speaking on the EP’s creation, they explain:

“From the beginning of putting this EP together, we knew there was something a little more visceral than usual and we really leaned into it. Not just the lyrics but the delivery and not just the arrangements and pacing of the songs, but the sonic quality. The entire thing is confrontational.”

“Prodigal Scum” mirrors that intensity, combining Extinction A.D.’s signature ruthless riffage with deeply personal themes. Vocalist Rick Jimenez shares:

“I’ve never been shy about my feelings of the outside world and how the broader picture of humanity affects me, but it’s not very often that I speak about my individual little world in Extinction A.D. Prodigal Scum is a full on personal life experience and something that was empowering to put on tape and also into the video."

The ‘Ruthless Intent’ EP promises four tracks of Extinction.A.D.’s signature metallic hardcore punk rock fury. Featuring previously released single, "Morality Bait" - a scathing evisceration of those exploiting morality for personal gain - along with today's release of "Prodigal Scum" and two further tracks - "Under The Hood" and "Living To Desecrate".

Extinction A.D. will be bringing ‘Ruthless Intent’ to stages worldwide all throughout 2024. Stay tuned for more sonic devastation from Long Island's brutal elite soon.

ABOUT EXTINCTION A.D.

For almost a decade, Long Island, New York’s Extinction A.D. have been bringing an intense and ferocious approach to metal. The frenetic energy and power of their live show is now matched on the brand new track, "Morality Bait" and the new era of the band it heralds, following the band's 2022 full length release, Culture Of Violence.

So many different worlds shaped this band; from writers like Alan Moore and George Orwell; lyricists like Wreak Havoc and Chuck D; to directors like Tarantino and John Carpenter. But musically, Extinction A.D. hook up a tube of early 90s era of metal into their veins. Not just bands like Pantera and Machine Head, but the often overlooked 90s offerings from Testament, Sepultura and Slayer.

Thrashing just as hard as their predecessors, the band also break their surroundings down and deliver some heavy as hell riotous mosh; hitting that all-important sweet spot mixture of 80s thrash, 90s extreme metal and New York hardcore, all encompassed into one.

William Elliott Whitmore Announces New Album "Silently, The Mind Breaks" Out 1/26

William Elliott Whitmore is taking things into his own hands with Silently, The Mind Breaks, his first album to be released through his newly formed Whitmore Records. It will be released on January 26. He had the following to say of his new venture: "I'm proud to be sharing this with the world through our literal mom and pop shop. I'm excited for people to hear what I've been working on the last few years."

Pre-order the album
here.

When asked what to expect from Silently, The Mind Breaks, Whitmore said, "Imagine a large expansive landscape. In the distance, you see what looks like a house. You walk for a long time, and as you get closer, it seems more and more like the house is abandoned. The front door is locked, so you go around the back and enter. Sunlight pours into the otherwise dark space, illuminating a staircase. You walk up, taking notice of a stillness in the air. There are several rooms, you enter the last one in the hallway. In the room there is a closet. You open the closet and see an old chest of drawers. In the bottom drawer is an envelope. You open the envelope and inside there is a note. It says 'You are loved.' You are very tired, but you can't help but smile slightly. I hope this album is that for you."

Last month, Whitmore shared the video for album track "Adaptation and Survival."

ABOUT WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE
Born and raised on a small farm in Lee County, Iowa, a love of the land has always been an important part of William Elliott Whitmore's life. An appreciation for nature and its cycles being taught from an early age. That awareness of birth and death is a constant theme in the songwriting, through a lens of hopefulness and acceptance. These things unify us as people, a theme that is often explored in the music.

With a banjo, guitar and kick drum, Whitmore seeks to convey these ideas. For over 20 years, he has traveled the world, performing everywhere from Rome, Italy to Rome, Georgia. He’s played basements, backyards, festival stages, and Carnegie Hall, and has no plans to stop anytime soon.

"Life is hard, nasty, and unforgiving at times," Whitmore says. "But it's beautiful, too, and music can be a reminder of what we all have in common, a desire to keep putting one foot in front of the other."

Michael Ray's "Spirits and Demons (with Meghan Patrick)" Comes To Life in New Music Video

With four No. 1 singles to his credit, singer/songwriter Michael Ray is well on his way to another hit with “Spirits and Demons (with Meghan Patrick).” Today he released the song’s intoxicating music video with a CMT multi-platform premiere, including the Paramount Times Square video billboard. Watch the video BELOW.

“Growing up, I’d rush home from school, and the first thing I’d do is turn on CMT for the rest of the afternoon,” said Ray. “Watching those music videos helped develop my love for country music and was responsible for introducing me to some of my favorite artists. Whether it’s your first video or 10th, it never gets old seeing it come to life, let alone getting to watch it on a billboard in Times Square.”

Directed by Sean Hagwell, the video captures the song’s mood with a smokey set and Ray alone, surrounded by empty broken glasses. The darkness is further enhanced with Meghan Patrick seen separately in a bar with people going about their lives in the background. When the two are filmed performing singing the song, they never face each other.

“There’s great contrast in the video between my individual shots and Meghan’s shots,” described Ray. “It shows how people handle the end of a relationship differently, but the result is the same: we can’t drink away our heartbreak.”

Of the new single, Music Row Magazine said, “This oomphy-sounding duet sez that booze doesn’t really cure a heartbreak. Both partners sing with gusto.”

In addition to the new song and video, Ray wraps a busy year of touring as he heads back into the studio with multi-platinum CMA Album of the Year producer Michael Knox to finish the Dive Bars & Broken Hearts project.

About Michael Ray
Forged on the small stages of Florida’s rural communities, Michael Ray has created an impressive foundation. Hits including the RIAA Platinum-certified “Think a Little Less,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “Whiskey And Rain,” the RIAA Gold-certified “Kiss You in the Morning” and the RIAA Gold-certified “One That Got Away” bring his tally to four No. 1 singles – not to mention the RIAA Gold-certified fan favorites “Get to You” and “Her World Or Mine”. Garnering over two billion global streams, more than 650,000 album equivalents and upwards of 150 million YouTube views, he is a true country star who’s performed at the Grand Ole Opry 73 times. Looking to expand his sound, Ray sought out CMA Album of the Year Award-winning producer Michael Knox. The pair have taken his brand of country to a new level for Dive Bars & Broken Hearts, Ray’s six-song EP available now via Warner Music Nashville, featuring current single and haunting duet “Spirits and Demons” with Meghan Patrick, a two-time Canadian Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year. Currently on the road through the fall, he’s taking his music where it matters: to the people. For more information, visit

Southern UK indiepop duo KARAMELIEN releases 'Living With The Moon' album and new video for 'Digital Imogen'

"This invigorating album presents soulful indie pop at its best. A breath of fresh air that is rich on melody, its lyrics range from confessional to tongue-in-cheek with Kaleido’s sublime vocals to smoothen this pleasureful ride. A captivating offering!" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Upbeat, a joyous folk-rock affair... bedecked in kaleidoscopic sixties sparkle, a slight splash of psychedelia and a whole tsunami of charm and grace" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A hug of soulful indie pop with groove as infectious as its melodic breath and lyrical smile is poetic... seductive captivation" ~ Ringmaster Review

''A true work of beauty and professionalism, taking you to your very own ascension heights" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

UK indie pop-rock duo
Karamelien present their debut album, 'Living With The Moon', a grounding 9-track offering that breaks from the typical songwriter mould, with sonic offerings that draw inspiration from fuzzy Lo-fi, storytelling, trip hop, and reverb-drenched 1960s film soundtracks, with a greater emphasis on beats and basslines.

Based in East Grinstead, Karamelien is singer-songwriter
Léanie Kaleido and guitarist Mark Foster - two long-time friends, whose music has forged an even stronger bond between them. This Karamelien album follows the three albums that Léanie Kaleido released as a solo artist.

Léanie and Mark were joined by one of the UK's leading bass players, Lee Pomeroy (ELO, Take That, Rick Wakeman, Yes), on most of the album's tracks. However, the song
'Ascension Heights' features bassist Morris 'Mo' Pleasure (Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Ray Charles), who graced the track with his funkadelic bassline.

Karamelien also present the video for
'Digital Imogen', a feisty in tongue-in-cheek warning of the dangers of obsessing over own photos on social media, which was recorded and produced by Ian Caple (Massive Attack, Tricky, Mansun, Tindersticks, Vanessa Paradis), who was also EMI's in-house engineer back in the day.

Léanie Kaleido wrote the title track 'Living With the Moon' after a year of counselling for depression and anxiety, linked to menopause and not helped by Covid-enforced inactivity and unease. She says, "On our final session, my amazing counsellor Jude, who I have kept in touch with, described the acceptance of good and bad days as ‘like living with the moon’.  I told her that would make a great song title and promised her I’d write it – and I did!  So, the lyrics are a thank you to myself for getting the help I needed at the time, a finger to the armchair critics and the toxic people who didn’t help, and a willing surrender to the lunar power over us all. It’s about the feeling of freedom you get when you stop worrying so much about what everyone else thinks and learn to accept your weaknesses and discover your hidden strengths.”

Mark Foster says, "We wanted the guitars to sound pretty processed, and a little bit ugly - which I think we achieved! I was definitely channelling the spirit of Sonic Youth, J Mascis, and a host of other beautiful noise-niks on this one".

The duo earlier released the title track 'Living With The Moon' and 'Wait For Me'with piano, mixing and production by Chris Mars (A Flock of Seagulls, Damian Wilson). Two other tracks were produced by RIDE's Mark Gardener at OX4 Sound Studio - 'Lionhearts' and 'Ascension Heights', which features a guitar sample from Léanie's late father Top Topham (original founding guitarist of The Yardbirds) and also involved Paul Statham (Dido, Simple Minds, Kylie Minogue).

As of October 27, the 'Living With The Moon' album is available from fine digital platforms, including
 Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

New York rocker Dmitry Wild releases new single 'Rock-n-Roll is My Business'. Watch the video for B-side

"A sonic and visual storyteller... channeling Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Lee Hazlewood" ~ Post-Punk.com

"Shatteringly propulsive garage-psych romper... it kills" ~ Vanyaland

"A rock and roll smash that has both groove and heart. An infectious piece of foot-on-the-monitor rock that blends power with poignancy. It’s precisely what the world needs right now" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Bringing together sound, influence, and relevance. Taking the best bits of epic rock, garage, and punk, Dmitry Wild brings the bombastic and writes the drama with this rock musical style production" ~ Sound Read Six

New York-based garage rock purveyor
Dmitry Wild has released his new single 'Rock-n-Roll Is My Business' with 'Son of a Gun' as the B-side track, along with its new video. Both tracks are full of spunk and swagger.

Produced by Dmitry Wild, 'Rock-n-Roll is My Business' was mixed and mastered by
Will Hensley (Coldplay, Travis, Dream Theater, Ben Folds, Shakira, My Morning Jacket, The Wombats). The title track was recorded by Andy Cass at Sleeper Cave Records in Western Mass, MA and 'Son of a Gun' was recorded by Byron Frayne.

'Rock-n-Roll Is My Business' was inspired by an experience Dmitry Wild had at a business convention. When asked the question “What is your business?”, he understood he was at odds with the business people and other specialists attending the event, ultimately answering "Rock-n-Roll Is My Business'.

With a new saxophone arrangement and double speed chorus, this rendition of 'Rock-n-Roll Is My Business' differs remarkably from the original recorded long ago by the band Wizard Sex. Exuding confidence, he is accompanied by ever-present horns and funky, layered vocals while retaining the classic rock-n-roll figurehead framework.

As for the B-side, 'Son of a Gun' is a rock track that is full of swagger, the bright, eclectic music video reflecting the song's alluring "world is my oyster' mood.

Most recently, Dmitry Wild released the single 'New York Stones', a rock ballad dedicated to New York City, in July, following up his 2002 album 'Electric Souls', which presented a clever blend of 70’s vintage rock, 80s synths, garage rock, bluesy swash and post-punk DIY ethos.

'Rock N Roll is My Business' is out now, available at all fine online music platforms, including
Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where Wild's catalogue can also be enjoyed.

Don't Believe In Ghosts Confronts the Echoes of 'Bad Ideas' in Latest Single and Live Studio Performance

Don’t Believe In Ghosts, the New York City-based alternative indie pop rock band, has just dropped their provocative new single, "Bad Ideas," through Imagen Records/Warner ADA. The single was added to Spotify's 'The New Alt' editorial playlist in the first week! Accompanying the studio release is a riveting live studio performance video, offering fans a raw, unfiltered glimpse of the band's creative energy.

"Bad Ideas" is a masterful exploration of the tumultuous space where stubbornness and denial collide with the stark aftermath of poor decisions. The song serves as a poignant commentary on the human tendency to cling to false narratives in the face of overwhelming evidence. With an infectious melody underpinning lyrics that speak to the heart of deception and the chaos of self-delusion, "Bad Ideas" is poised to resonate deeply with listeners.

Steven Nathan, the band’s lead vocalist, describes the track as a “sonic confrontation with the ghosts of our worse judgments.” The single’s repetitive yet evocative lines about 'lies multiplying'and 'bad ideas growing' create a powerful narrative of the damage wrought by clinging to falsehoods.

This release follows the band’s successful track “Put Your Head Back,” which gained nationwide recognition after being featured on the AppleTV+ show “We Crashed.” The band, known for their honest, inventive, and meaningful music, continues to build on their legacy with "Bad Ideas,"reinforcing their presence in the alternative music scene.

Don’t Believe In Ghosts, consisting of Steven Nathan, Dan DelVecchio on guitar and Ken Yang on drums, has been making waves since their formation. Their achievements include nationwide radio play, millions of Retail Radio plays, and features in prominent TV shows and magazines. The band's message, encapsulated by Nathan’s philosophy, “Don’t give energy to the ghosts of your past,” encourages listeners to live authentically and fearlessly.

"Bad Ideas" is available for streaming and download on all major platforms. The live studio performance video is also available, offering an electrifying perspective of the band’s dynamic performance prowess.

FADING NEMESIS Release Re-Imagined Version of "RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND" on Friday, November 10th

Pre-Save "RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND" HERE

FADING NEMESIS, led by the powerhouse vocalist FARAH NAZ, is set to drop her re-imagined rendition of Oliver Anthony Music's hit track, "RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND," across all major streaming platforms on Friday, November 10th.

This iconic track, originally penned by the talented duo of Christopher Anthony Lunsford and Oliver Anthony Music, has been skillfully re-imagined by an exceptional team of musical virtuosos, including Dusty Boles, Farah Naz, Larry Elyea, and Jason Riot. Larry Elyea's engineering finesse and masterful touch have polished this musical gem to perfection.

“'RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND' by Fading Nemesis is a heavier and dare say, an even deeper re-imagination of a song which has taken the world by an awakening storm of anthemic emotion. This version done by FN renders another translation of the poignant story told by Oliver Anthony. This song is for all of us who have ever lost hope and have tasted the real exhaustion of life's devouring fissures. It's the voice of us all!" says f a r a h NAZ.

WATCH Oliver Anthony Music – Re-imagined by FADING NEMESIS - "Rich Men North Of Richmond" (Official Video) , Below

The video was created and co-directed by Farah Naz and directed by Larry Elyea at http://www.mindseyedigital.net/.

FARAH NAZ has lassoed the sensual tones of her Eastern heritage by combining her melodic vocals with the adrenalized energy of Western hard rock. The resonant depth of the EAST & the driving edginess of the WEST have fused seamlessly in her songs.

Born in Pakistan, raised in a suburban town in Texas, and having lived in the antiquated romance of the UK for over a decade, Naz's life is a blend of rich cultures, dark moments, and revealing stories. The darkness of some extremely soul-mangling childhood events coupled with the richness of culturally diverse experiences have given Naz a powerful and unique 'voice'.

Naz grew up with a father who is an accomplished sitar player. And throughout her childhood, greats like Ravi Shankar and others of his caliber regularly frequented their home for music gatherings. Alongside this wealthy backdrop of eastern music, her British and American cousins sent her western records from abroad. This audial infusion of east and west cadences in her early years has allowed her to forge an undeniably distinctive signature as a songwriter.

After moving to the States at the age of 10, she began performing at youth rallies, in school musicals, and other large-scale events and festivals. By age 11, she found herself singing to audiences of up to 5000+. With an insatiable desire to communicate truths through songwriting combined with a ferocious drive to command impact into people’s lives, performance became her perfect throne. Eventually, music took her to London, where she worked with some of the best producers & musicians and performed and even held residencies at some of the most renowned London music venues, including The Clapham Grand, The Half Moon Pub, The Troubadour, Notting Hill Arts Club.

A massive family tragedy brought her back home to the States. Naz took some time off to translate the pain into strength. Thus, Fading Nemesis was born. In the next short time, JASON RIOT (guitar), KYLE CHRISTIAN (bass) and CHRIS HAZARD (drums) joined the fN journey.

According to Naz, especially in these disjointed days, "music is the only sensical language that can express our deepest feelings, give our lives palliative hope and unite us, as a human race. Music expresses that which cannot be said and that which cannot remain silent". Serving this tenet, Naz and her extraordinarily talented band members are preparing to release their debut album.

With the unequaled production and engineering talents of LARRY ELYEA, DUSTY BOLES and TRISTAN HARDING, FN's debut album is surging with lyrical anthems, robed in rugged honesty and uncaging 'freedom manifestos'. With raging guitars, primordial bass and drums, hauntingly sonorant vocals and perfectly seasoned production, the songs are blatantly compelling and yet deeply welcoming.

The record is set for release Spring of 2024.

Embracing the joy and traditions of the holiday season with his modern-meets-classic style, Alex Hall brightens the holidays with a newly-released collection of festive songs. Listen to Season’s Greetings From Alex Hall
Below.

Drawing inspiration from classics previously sung by legends Charles Brown, Judy Garland and more, Hall breathes life into these timeless melodies with his velvety vocals. Following the release of his eagerly awaited debut album
Side Effects of The Heart on Sept. 15, Season's Greetings From Alex Hall comes as a delightful holiday treat to listeners with an added original song, “Reason To Believe,” drawn from re-experiencing the magic of the holidays as a parent through the lens of a child.

“I love classic Christmas songs, from Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ to Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town.’ Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, so I decided to record some Christmas music of my own,” shares Hall. “I hope you love my take on a few of the classics, but it was important to me to write a Christmas song of my own. I have a two-year-old son, and seeing Christmas through his eyes has brought back so much of the magic we can lose as adults.

“I hope you enjoy untying the bow on these songs, and maybe they can become part of your own holiday tradition for years to come! Merry Christmas and happy holidays.”

Hall is currently on the road through mid-December for his Side Effects Of The Heart Tour, presented by PBR Cowboy Bar and benefiting the CMA Foundation. The tour includes stops in Baltimore, MD; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO and more. For more information, visit
MusicByAlexHall.com or follow @MusicByAlexHall on all social media platforms.

About Alex Hall:
Alex Hall launches the next chapter of his career with his brand-new record, Side Effects Of The Heart. A project that tells the stories of everything the singer, songwriter, and guitar player’s heart has been through these last few years.

Growing up on a small horse farm on the outskirts of Gainesville, GA, Hall’s earliest memory is hearing Elvis Presley on his grandfather’s radio. It’s a sound he never forgot, and one that prompted him to pick up a guitar for the first time when he was only four years old. He started learning the instrument seriously in middle school, and quickly graduated from choir solos to bar gigs. By the time he was in high school, Hall was playing over 150 shows a year.

After graduation, Hall moved to Nashville, TN and signed with Monument Records. He spent the last few years opening for Tanya Tucker and hitting the road with Brandy Clark, Little Big Town, and Tenille Townes. His debut EP on Monument Records, Six Strings, was a guitar focused project featuring the playing and vocal stylings of Hall’s heroes and friends – Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Osborne (of Brothers Osborne), Brad Tursi (of Old Dominion), Tenille Townes, and Kassi Ashton. Six Strings gained national acclaim from the likes of Vintage Guitar Magazine, Rolling Stone and Cowboys & Indians, and helped Hall to be named to the Fender Next 2021 program.

Now, ready to bare it all, Hall is releasing his first full project as an artist with Side Effects Of The Heart. Out now, the album has a song for everyone…and a few for the dreamers out there like Alex Hall himself.

DYLAN SCHNEIDER’S “DADDY DRINKS WHISKEY,” THE HEART-BREAKING TRUTH AVAILABLE NOW

Praised by Billboard as “Country Music’s Next Rising Star,” Dylan Schneider has lived a lot of life in only 24 years. Writing Dustin Lynch’s emotive Top 5 “Momma’s House” at 18, scoring two RIAA-Gold records by 22, going viral with his radio single “Ain’t Missin’ You” at 23 and gaining over 300,000 social followers in just a few months, the up-and-comer isn’t afraid of honest storytelling and the vulnerability that comes along with it. Today releasing the painful, auto-biographical “Daddy Drinks Whiskey” via BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records, Schneider hopes others find comfort in the fact they aren’t alone when struggling with a loved one’s alcoholism. A heart-breaking reality for so many, listen to the harrowing track Below.

Releasing music with “a more mature sound” (American Songwriter), the “Artist to Watch” (Amazon Music, Pandora, Taste of Country) continues to “expand the bounds of his artistry” and “build upon his foundational country roots with intentionality” (American Songwriter), ultimately making “…music that his fans fall in love with, without losing the authenticity that he has had all along” (Country Swag). Produced by Zach Abend and written with his childhood best friend Gabe Foust and Nate Kenyon, Schneider performed “Daddy Drinks Whiskey” for the first-time ever in the Grand Ole Opry’s sacred Circle earlier this week (October 31), delivering an emotional debut to a packed-out audience.

At only 15, Schneider found success in music and began traveling to Nashville constantly, fighting a battle no one ever knew existed. Now at 24, he’s realized the power this experience, and this song might mean in someone else’s life. Exclusively speaking with American Songwriter, he shared the truth that lies in lyrics on “Daddy Drinks Whiskey.”

"I wrote this song a few years ago after going through a very difficult time, and this song gives a little glimpse into what that looked like,” Schneider admits. “I hope that people can hear my story and know that they aren't alone when going through similar times."

Currently out on the road with Scotty McCreery, Dylan Schneider – whose smash hit “Ain’t Missin’ You” is climbing the country radio charts and racking in over 119M TikTok views, 118k user-generated TikTok videos and 30M on-demand streams – will kick off 2024 with Nate Smith on his World On Fire Tour, starting January 4 in Athens, Georgia. About Dylan Schneider:

Drawn to the storytelling aspects of country music, Dylan Schneider started performing and writing songs at the age of 14, after meeting Brett Eldredge and singing with him on-stage during a concert. After that, he began posting videos to his Facebook page, where he’d cover popular Country songs, gaining a devoted online following. Since then, Schneider has made a name for himself in the Country music community, forging a sound that merges modern pop sensibilities with a down-home feel. He’s been named a “Breakthrough Artist to Watch” by Amazon Music, an “Artist to Watch” by Pandora, Taste of Country and Sounds Like Nashville and declared “Country Music’s Next Rising Star” by Billboard. He’s toured with Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Morgan Wallen, Dan + Shay, Granger Smith, LANCO, Mitchell Tenpenny, Chris Lane and Niko Moon, co-wrote Dustin Lynch’s Top 5 hit song “Momma’s House,” scored two RIAA-certified Gold records, accumulated over 1.2M social media followers and banked an upwards of 303M on-demand streams (and counting). Signed to BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records, his latest five-track EP College Town truly embraced his irresistible rock-n-roll edge and unrestrained pop-country swagger. Now, after posting a snippet of his new break-up anthem “Ain’t Missin’ You” on social media, the sound went viral, racking up more than 119M TikTok views, 118k user-generated TikTok videos and 30M on-demand streams, before climbing to #3 on TikTok’s Country playlist and securing placement on viral-song charts. Giving into fan demand, the rising country star’s “Ain’t Missin’ You” - currently climbing the country radio charts – is out now, along with the heart-breaking “Daddy Drinks Whiskey.”

HUNTERGIRL RELEASES THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “AIN’T ABOUT YOU”

America’s sweetheart, vocal powerhouse, and esteemed songwriter HunterGirl today releases the official music video for her debut radio single “Ain’t About You.” Premiered yesterday (11/2) via CMT, the 19 Recordings/Wheelhouse Records artist is the first female country artist in over 30 years to write her debut radio single by herself.

“Ain’t About You” was produced by the award-winning Lindsay Rimes (Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini), with the video being directed by Ford Fairchild and produced by Rebecca Adler.

Speaking exclusively with CMT about the making of the video, HunterGirl shared: “I knew that I wanted it to focus on other people more than myself. I wanted to include a little girl chasing after dreams, a girl that was comparing herself to other people on social media, and a little boy who was worried about his mom. It was really important to me to include my work with veterans as well, so the Air Force veteran in the music video is a tie back to my grandfather who was in the Air Force and passed away a few years ago."

“What I hope people take away from this music video is that if you’re thinking about giving up on something, please give it a second chance because there are a ton of people who need you here,” she continued. “I think we forget sometimes how our story aligns with so many other people’s stories, because we are worried about things going on in our own lives. There are so many people who have touched my life, and if they would’ve given up on their dream, I don’t think I would be the same person I am today.”

Yesterday (11/2), HunterGirl partnered with Musicians On Call and visited Nashville’s Veteran Affair’s (VA) Hospital in honor of Veterans Day next week and in gratitude of their heroic service, performing for patients, their families and staff, which will be shared with VA hospitals across the country. Having worked with veteran organizations since her teens such as A Soldier’s Child, Operation Song and Freedom Sings, HunterGirl has helped numerous vets transform their stories into songs. "Music heals every single day," she explains. "Watching a veteran write a song for the first time, it's tough for someone to talk about things that they've experienced, but by sharing their story, music truly does heal. I feel blessed I’m able to be a part of that and give the gift of music to someone else."

Next up, HunterGirl’s original holiday track “
Hurry Up Christmas” will be featured in Hallmark Channel’sChristmas Island, premiering November 11, and “Christmas Again” will be featured in Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up, premiering November 25. She will also perform at the Christmas Parade in Raleigh, North Carolina on November 18, the Christmas 4 Kids Benefit Concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Monday, November 20 – a nonprofit that brings the joy of Christmas to thousands of underprivileged Middle Tennessee children - along with Phil Vasser, Chapel Hart, Shenandoah and more (purchase tickets HERE) – and the Christmas Tree Lighting in her hometown of Winchester, Tenn. on November 24.

About HunterGirl:

A Tennessee native, singer/songwriter HunterGirl has been performing since she was three years old and writing songs since she was nine. In her early teens, she performed at venues across the United States, competed in singing competitions and won the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown. After graduating high school, she moved to Nashville and immediately started playing gigs at Nashville’s most famous venues including Tootsie’s, Rippy’s, Jason Aldean’s Bar, The Listening Room, and HonkyTonk Central, winning songwriting contests such as “Nash Next” and the prestigious “Nashville Songwriter Association International” in her spare time. Due to having family members who served in the military, HunterGirl holds a deep admiration for our Country’s armed forces and tenaciously works with many veteran organizations, where she uses music therapy to transform veterans’ stories into songs. She’s shared the stage with Country superstars Old Dominion, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Alan Jackson, Lainey Wilson, Trace Adkins, Charlie Daniels, Sara Evans and more. Last year, she competed on American Idol, where the “country singer with a bright future” (Hollywood Life) delivered standout performances that Taste of Country called “impressive,” “shining,” “chill-worthy,” and “glowing,” winning the hearts of millions across the country. Praised by Idol judge and Country superstar Luke Bryan as the “new age Miranda Lambert” and his “favorite female Country voice,” “HunterGirl has wowed the Country music community since she stepped foot onto the American Idol stage” (Billboard). “Despite missing out on the win, her crooning vocals and intimate original song, ‘Red Bird,’ has made her one to watch in the Country scene” (American Songwriter). Skyrocketing to No. 1 on iTunes All-Genre and Country charts, “the budding Country star” (Taste of Country) performed her heartfelt and deeply personal original track “Red Bird” on Live with Kelly & Ryan and has appeared on Good Morning America. Now, with the release of her label debut tracks “Hometown Out Of Me,” “Lonely Outta You” and her hauntingly powerful debut radio single “Ain’t About You,” driven by her distinct and genuine vocals, unwavering tenacity, and heart of gold, HunterGirl is on the fast track to becoming Country’s next big female artist.

Corporate greed. Sharky politicians. Climate out-of-control. Questionable government interests. All of it comes to a head in Al Jourgensen’s latest diatribe against the system, “Just Stop Oil.” The brand-new track – from Ministry’s upcoming 16th studio album HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES – is shared today alongside a visually stimulating music video that begs for action for the benefit of our collective future.

Says Jourgensen of the track: “Ministry approves this message and the movement behind it. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!"

See the video for “Just Stop Oil” below

“Just Stop Oil” follows the release of earlier single “Goddamn White Trash,” both anchor tracks from HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES (out March 1, 2024 on Nuclear Blast Records) that give a preview of the state of mind of creator and band leader Al Jourgensen who is cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. Like always, he's merely looking around at the same dumpster fire we all are, but he's got a microphone and uses it well to rage on about the state of the world.

Joined by Ministry’s current frontline of musicians – John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Roy Mayorga (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) – HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, long-time collaborator and Lard companion Jello Biafra and Corrosion of Conformity frontman Pepper Keenan.

HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES will be available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewelcase and digital/streaming platforms. The vinyl variants include:green with yellow splatter (in stores everywhere); blue with pink splatter (nuclear blast exclusive); red with white splatter (band/tour exclusive).

ABOUT MINISTRY

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry’s 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, will be released in early 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

ZORNHEYM - Release New EP "The Forgotten Inmates"; Share Video For "Slumber Comes In Time + New Graphic Novel!

Swedish symphonic extreme metal act ZORNHEYM, founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn (ex-DARK FUNERAL / ex-Devian), has released its brand new EP, The Forgotten Inmates. This acoustic EP marks the next chapter in the band's haunting musical journey. Following the success of their debut album, Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns, which introduced listeners to the band's terrifying concept of a mental institution and its prisoners, ZORNHEYM continued their narrative-driven approach with their 2021 full-length record, The Zornheim Sleep Experiment. Now, with The Forgotten Inmates, the band delves deeper into their dark universe!

The EP features a folk version of the track "Slumber Comes in Time," accompanied by a brand new music video. ZORNHEYM's unique take on this song showcases their ability to blend their powerful symphonic elements with folk influences. The main melody, derived from an original Swedish folk song, sets the tone for a chilling experience that immerses listeners in the band's twisted world.

Speaking about the acoustic rendition of "Slumber Comes in Time", ZORNHEYM shared, "We wanted to arrange it in a folk style. The main melody for the song is taken from an original Swedish folk song, so we felt it suitable to rewrite the lyrics in Swedish as well to really lean into the source."

Watch the video below:

Stream the single HERE

ZORNHEYM, however, do not only represent musical talent but also strong visual art that has always surrounded their works, as both albums of the band are accompanied by a stunning graphic novel, in which each chapter takes a closer look at the different inmates of the ZORNHEYM asylum. While the album's lyrics and the session notes in the booklet served as two parts of the complete story, with the release of "The Forgotten Inmates" ZORNHEYM now deliver the final piece of the puzzle, as the EP comes along with the official graphic novel for the band's latest album The Zornheim Sleep Experiment, and you will follow Dr. Bettelheim from when he is putting the final touches on his statement of intent till the horrific ending of the experiment. As on their debut Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns ZORNHEYM have again collaborated with the super talented Finnish artist Anu Saari, who has brought the story to life with her amazing painting skills!

The Forgotten Inmates was recorded at Wing Studios. Mix and master by Sverker Widgren. The EP was produced by Sverker Widgren & Zorn. Artwork by Anu Saari. "The Forgotten Inmates" is available for purchase at THIS LOCATION

WICKED TO UNLEASH "LOST IN THE DARK" SINGLE/VIDEO FROM FORTHCOMING 'SUNBURN' ALBUM

One of today's most theatrical rockers, Wicked, has announced the release of their newest album, 'Sunburn,’ to be released in March of 2024. And the band (singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar) is especially pleased with their latest effort, as they explained in the statement:

"The new album 'Sunburn' is a deliberate e-brake in our music and state of the band. After years of doing 80 mph in a 30 with no hands on the wheel, we decided there was so much more to what we had to share musically. Produced by 10-time Grammy winner Ignacio Molino, released through The Orchard and accompanied by 5 singles / videos, the album bares an authentic reflection on the highs and lows of being in a relentlessly hard-working rock band with all the euphoria and pain along the way. We looked inside for inspiration and made an album for us and not anyone else. Don’t miss the blend of inspirations from Third Eye Blind to Thin Lizzy and everything in between, the personified characters from each single like the 'Gorgeous' robot girl, and the cinematic destination music videos. Before you know it, you’ll be 'living like a Sunburn!'”

The striking video for one of the album's highlights, "Lost in the Dark," was directed and filmed by Longwood Media Group in Salem, MA, and features Salem’s premier Occult Shop “Hermetic Arts” and owner / ceremonial magician David Newman. The clip also stars actress Kelly Monteiro, and depicts a story of love and passion found and lost in one of the most magical cities.

The video can be viewed below, while the single can be purchased or streamed via
https://lnk.to/lostinthedarkpresave

The song itself is the first single off the upcoming sophomore album, 'Sunburn.' The song kicks off the band’s new release pulling from influences like Boston, Thin Lizzy, Toto, and Third Eye Blind. A melodic hard rock song about “the good girl gone bad” who’s shrouded in the dark arts and that type of “I can fix you” relationship.  A song that should be cranked up to 11 as you roll up to that tailgate, windows down, smoke billowing, on that I’m looking for trouble kinda night. Fuel injected with passion, urgency, and power like any good cocktail mix of cannon-like drums, harmonizing guitars, lustful lyrics, and fiery vocals.

“When magic and romance meet in a hard rock power pop tune” - Chad Michael

“The lyrics paint just the right picture of that girl who is trouble, but you just can’t get enough of” - Danny

“Some chick inspired a sexy, passionate song, which inspired an even sexier video, and that inspires me” - Scotty V

“I can’t believe it’s actually happening!” - Gunnar

About FUMING MOUTH:

A fiery, resurrected rage barrels its way out of hell’s erupting chasms with blistering fury; Fuming Mouth has returned. Lead singer, guitarist, and founder Mark Whelan emerges triumphant after a life-threatening battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, rekindling the inferno of their music with Fuming Mouth's second full-length album, Last Day of Sun.

What initially began as a full-on, fictional concept album underwent a profound transformation into a concept-reality hybrid, largely influenced by Whelan's harrowing conflict with his health and anear brush with death. Just three weeks away from recording the album, Whelan was struck with a devastating cancer diagnosis. While bravely fighting the illness, he rewrote melodies, drum sections, and lyrics, infusing the music with his personal journey of struggle and hope.

The recording sessions began in October 2022, with Grammy Award winning Kurt Ballou of Converge at his studio, God City, in Salem, Massachusetts. Ballou reached out to Whelan after his battle with cancer and encouraged him to get back to their previously scheduled recording session. Working closely with Ballou in both engineering and production, the band found a wonderful and collaborative experience, as Ballou invested himself wholeheartedly in shaping their sound and vision. Salem itself also helped shape the album, as the Halloween Season had begun. Droves of tourists and residents mixing with people in costume made the streets of Salem seem like Last Day of Sun had come to life. The city where the Witch Trials took place presented the perfect setting for the album to be recorded.

At the genesis of this record, there was no other artist that could have captured the album's essence better than Mariusz Lewandowski, with whom the band had already established a creative relationship through his work on the cover art of The Grand Descent. Tragically, Mariusz passed away while working on the album artwork, presenting the band with an immense obstacle to overcome. In tribute to his spirit and legacy, they joined forces with the talented artist Stefan Todorovic who crafted an evocative album cover depicting a Faustian city crumbling amidst the gray and sandy storms of the apocalypse. A colossal monster blocks the sun and hovers above the city as it burns, smoky buildings topple to the ground; all a visual representation of the chaos and darkness that permeates the album.

Fuming Mouth stands resilient, a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Amidst the carnage and depression lies a flicker of hope - a beacon of light that emanates from within. But as the last rays of the sun cast their shadow, the question remains. Will the people in Last Day of Sun survive? Will their worst inhibitions play out, will they rip each other to shreds, will they give up? Will everything they’ve built have been for not? Will they find a way to overcome, or will their panic lead to failure?

FUMING MOUTH is:
Mark Whelan - Guitar, Vocals
Andrew Budwey - Guitar
Pat Merson - Bass
James Davis - Drums

KILLINGTON PIT RELEASES THEIR 2ND SINGLE "KILL THE KING"

Following the release of their hugely successful debut single – a cover of Accept’s “Balls To The Wall” in August 2023 – Killington Pit return with a remake of the Rainbow classic “Kill The King.”

This recording sees the band joined by rock music veterans, guitarist Stef Burns (Alice Cooper/Huey Lewis & The News) and vocalist guitarist Jeff Blando (Slaughter/Lynchmob/Vince Neil).

Killington Pit was born of the pandemic. The members connected during the lockdown and began recording together. As time progressed friendships grew and a core band formed with Terry LeRoi, Will Hunt, Troy McLawhorn and Chuck Garric.

The bands first single in August 2023 (“Balls To The Wall”) has had over 900k streams on Spotify and 250k views on YouTube.

Terry LeRoi says, “Recording “Kill The King” was an incredible experience! We were fortunate enough to have 2 insanely talented special guests on this recording; Stef Burns and Jeff Blando! It really was a privilege working with everyone on this! I’ve always been a huge fan of the Blackmore/Dio “Rainbow” era and paying tribute to that band and those musicians is a true honor. “Kill The King” is a legendary track and was one of our first choices as we were assembling our collection of songs for the Killington Pit covers album. I had read some past articles where Ronnie explained the song was inspired by the game of chess. That inspired us to create a video that we hope Ronnie would’ve loved and the fans of Rainbow will truly enjoy!"

Stef Burns (Alice Cooper / Huey Lewis & The News) says, “Kill The King is killer!! It was super fun blasting out that classic Rainbow track with great players such as Will Hunt, Blando, and my Alice Cooper brother Chuck Garric! Terry sings his butt off! Of course I’m a longtime Blackmore fan so that made it extra fun.”

Jeff Blando (Slaughter/Lynchmob/Vince Neil) says, “What a blast it was rocking out with all these great and talented musicians. My partner in crime, William Hunt on drums, Power Vocals from Terry LeRoi, Wild Man Chuck Garric on bass and I’ve always wanted to jam with the Incredible Stef Burns on guitars. Getting to pay homage to one of my all-time favorite vocalist, Mr. Ronnie James Dio was an incredible fun and rocking experience. I hope everyone digs this track as much as I had fun being a part of it. ROCK ON!!!!”

Will Hunt (Evanescence) says:  “I had a blast tracking this classic Rainbow tune Kill The King with the fellas. It was a great opportunity personally for me to pay homage to the legendary Cozy Powell who was taken from us way too soon. I wanted to copy a lot of what he did because it was so perfect for the song while adding some of my own flavor to it. I think the end result is pretty bombastic.”

Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper) said, “It’s an honor to pay homage to my mentor and my friend!…..To the King “Ronnie James Dio”

LeRoi adds, "Over the coming months we will be releasing our full length covers album with accompanying videos. 2024 will see us playing select shows worldwide and releasing original Killington Pit music. We’re looking forward to sharing this with all of the fans!”

VITRIOL Announces New Album, Unleashes Music Video for First Single, "The Flowers of Sadism"

Death metal battalion VITRIOL is proud to reveal that it will be releasing its sophomore full-length, 'Suffer & Become,' on January 26, 2024 via Century Media Records! In celebration, the band is now unleashing the emotionally-charged, pummeling first single, "The Flowers of Sadism," along with a music video! The clip, which was created by Vile Luxe Entertainment, can be found below.

VITRIOL guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen explains of the single's deeply personal themes, "'Flowers' explores the topic of early developmental trauma and the resulting emotional alchemy that can lead to the development of sadistic impulses. While not being an ideal strategy in the presence of healthier alternatives, embracing my more vicious instincts was the key to my psychological and emotional survival at a time when my environment was both hostile and inescapable. It marks the beginning of a complicated journey of seduction by the necessary evils adopted in the pursuit of that survival."

Pre-orders are now live for 'Suffer & Become' HERE. The album will be available digitally as well as in Standard CD Jewelcase, Ltd. Deep Blood Red LP (All ex-US Retail), Orange Crush LP (All US Retail), and Red / Yellow / Black Transp. Splatter LP (Band Exclusive).

For Portland, Oregon's VITRIOL, nothing comes easy. Nothing. The title of their second Century Media album, 'Suffer & Become,' says it all. "The title really sums it up," says guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen. "I pushed things to a point while making this album where it almost became untenable. Things that were supposed to be done in weeks took months. It wasn't easy, but I think it was suffering well spent."

At the core of 'Suffer & Become' lies a profound sense of extremity and unease. This very essence defines Vitriol as the vanguard in death metal's evolutionary path—a sonic landscape characterized by its profound darkness, density, and the infusion of nanotechnological precision interwoven with intense, seething emotions. Not easy listening in the slightest. Since forming in 2013, Rasmussen and longtime co-conspirator, bassist, and co-vocalist Adam Roethlisberger have worked with a single-minded vision: to push the genre to its breaking point and invent a new uncompromising paradigm in the process. VITRIOL is a masterclass in pain – and that's just their jumping-off point.

Recounting VITRIOL's initial journey into the outer fringes of extremity, Rasmussen is characteristically thoughtful. "I was starving for something that didn't pull any punches," says Kyle of VITRIOL's caustic mission statement, which detonated into the realm of extreme metal with 2013's 'Antichrist' demo. "Death metal was important to me because it speaks to an aggression, a frustration that I had when I was younger. It wasn't just a sonic connection but an emotional connection, which made music almost a means to an end. What I saw happening in extreme metal at the time was almost a removal of emotion in favor of musicality, that fire, that piss and vinegar spirit. Basically, I wanted something that wanted me dead."

With 2017's 'Pain Will Define Their Death' EP, VITRIOL took its spot as one of the underground's most uncompromising exponents, leading them to join forces with Century Media. The resultant album, 2019's "To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice," was nothing short of a crucial next step for the band and the genre itself. Decibel Magazine said, "Vitriol leave no doubt they are one of the best the genre has to offer, with shades of Nile, Hate Eternal, and Anaal Nathrakh frequently peeking through." Hitting the road that year, at first in Europe with Nile and then in the US with Cattle Decapitation and Atheist, and then Vader before the onset of Covid, VITRIOL was quick to establish themselves as much of an uncompromising force onstage as they are on record.

"Doing 'Black Seeds of Vengeance' alongside Karl Sanders [of Nile] onstage in Europe on our very first tour was nothing short of a 'pinch me' moment," Kyle recounts from VITRIOL's early touring days. "More recently, we were touring with Morbid Angel, and Steve Tucker, who is my favorite Morbid Angel vocalist, came out of his dressing room in a VITRIOL t-shirt and exclaimed that we were one of his favorite new bands! That blew my mind as a fan, first and foremost – a total 'Holy Fuck!' moment."

'Suffer & Become' is nothing short of a benchmark for VITRIOL (rounded out by guitarist Daniel Martinez and Matt Kilner). It's as dense and blackened as anything to erupt from Rasmussen's vision of sonic disorder. From the onset of the opening track, "Shame and Its Afterbirth," there's a new sense of openness, grandeur, and occasional beauty in VITRIOL's aural arsenal. "I wanted to have an album that had a stark duality to it," says Kyle. "Very high highs and very low lows. We're very familiar with the lows but not so much with the triumphant highs. I wanted the album to have more of a sense of optimism to it, both lyrically and musically. I wanted the album to convey a sense of optimism that probably gets lost in the black maelstrom that is the first album."

Produced by Rasmussen and mixed by Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation), 'Suffer &

Become' isn't merely the sound of VITRIOL upping the ante in death metal's musical arms race; it is also the sound of salvation for its driving force. "Living in the world of that first album was very difficult for me," says Rasmussen. "It's not a nice place. It was very intentionally imbalanced in the same way a horror film is imbalanced. I wanted a healthier world for me to live in, and I believe I achieved that."

Not that the writing and recording of 'Suffer & Become' was anything short of soul-rending. Rasmussen labored over the creation of the album in the studio, on tour in hotel rooms, to the point of painstaking obsessiveness. Kyle is straightforward about the grueling record-making process and its personal impact. "The record feels a bit like a Jungian Dante's Inferno," he states. "Plumbing the circles of my personal, psychological, and spiritual hell and then purposely refocusing it so it's not the unhinged, dark catharsis of the first album. This record is a lot more vulnerable."

Songs like "Weaponized Loss" or "The Flowers of Sadism" are what Kyle describes as a "dark baptism" in comparison to the absolute darkness of "To Bathe…". The sound of VITRIOL remains as joyless and dark as ever, but with a glimmer of hope. VITRIOL has taken its trauma-put-to-sound approach to the next level and discovered a new sense of beauty in the blackness. 'Suffer & Become' is death metal with a bloody, beating heart.

New Model Army Announce New Album "Unbroken" + Share "First Summer After"

The brand new studio album Unbroken, releasing on January 26 on earMUSIC, is the modern face of New Model Army, bringing together both their old school energy and their contemporary sophistication to create one of the finest albums of their long career. It was written and recorded over quite a long period of time, with the process interrupted by both the delayed 40th Anniversary shows and the recent Sinfonia live orchestral project.

Pre-order it
here.

Today, the band has shared "
First Summer After." Watch the video below.

It is a classic New Model Army road trip song, full of twists, turns, and adventures, and the music video was filmed and put together by regular collaborator Tom Harding.

"We were writing and recording ideas in our own studio from mid-2021 and had already decided early on that our number one choice to mix it would be the legendary Tchad Blake. The album sounds like us, but different again, and it has been beautifully mixed – full-on, dynamic, and musical," the band says.

It's a classic New Model Army album — full of guitars but with the emphasis on the rhythmic power of bass and drums which characterizes all the band's work, with Unbroken, the band continue to push the boundaries of their signature sound while staying true to their heart. The subjects and moods are variable, creating a diverse collection of tracks which touch on topics ranging from social and political commentary to deeply personal reflections.

"Not much hits me as genuine these days, but New Model Army hits it for me. Wonderfully recorded and produced by themselves, mixing this album felt like a gift. Here’s hoping lots of people feel the same way about listening to it," states Tchad Blake.

Unbroken will be released January 26 via earMUSIC as CD Hardcover Mediabook, Heavyweight Black LP Gatefold, Ltd. Heavyweight Red LP Gatefold and on Digital.

Letdown. Releases "Crying In The Shower (Reimagined)" via Big Loud Rock

Breakout alt-rock sensation Letdown. has released a new, deeply moving version of his widely acclaimed track, "Crying In The Shower (Reimagined)" via Big Loud Rock today. With its emotionally charged lyrics paired with a stripped-down orchestral melody, Letdown. breathes new life into the poignant remix, accompanied by a gorgeously cinematic music video. Speaking on today's news, Blake Coddington, the mastermind behind Letdown.'s evocative music, shared:

“I took a song that I feel is very personal to us all about loss regret and moving on, and turned it towards my roots as a songwriter using orchestral and classical instruments and playing styles. I think it takes the song in a whole new emotional direction.”

Letdown. recently showcased his incredible live talents by performing at renowned music festivals such as Aftershock and Louder Than Life after releasing his debut EP 'Crying In The Shower' earlier this year. Stream "Crying In The Shower (Reimagined)" here, watch the official music video below, and be sure to stay tuned for more Letdown. news coming soon.

Letdown. (period included) may have started as a pandemic project for Blake Coddington, but the Chicago/Nashville-based rocker is in a very different place in 2023. Having spent the last three years cultivating a fervent fanbase through a number of single releases and emerging as a striking live act — finally bringing his music into the physical lives of his online fans across several sold-out, headlining shows this past year — Coddington is rapidly growing his presence away from the internet for the first time in Letdown.’s short history.

The powerful vocals and emotional lyrics over catchy, upbeat drums and guitars originally served as a cathartic way for the songwriter to express himself while working a dead-end job that he hated. But 2022 saw Letdown. being signed to Big Loud Rock and move beyond his beginnings as a viral, at-home musician. This year, however, represents a whole new start for the passionate vocalist, or as Coddington himself puts it: “It’s Season II of Letdown., and it’s definitely the biggest chapter yet.”

With his debut EP, 'Crying In The Shower', releasing February 24, 2023 and the ability to continue his touring success with an upcoming month-long run in Europe, as well as North American dates supporting Giovannie & The Hired Guns this spring, “Season II” is looking a lot more action-packed than Letdown.’s first couple of years. It was just three years ago that he began throwing videos on YouTube expecting to get a few hundred views, yet now he’s become a known and respected musical commodity both in-person and online with over 643K followers and 5.1M likes on TikTok, 25+ million views on his YouTube channel, over 80M on demand streams and editorial playlisting from the likes of Spotify’s All New Rock, New Noise, Rock Out and Rock Hard. “I always feel weird when people ask me how long I’ve been around, because I got so used to telling people that Letdown. was this new thing,” Coddington laughs. “But now we’re touring and we’ve got a record coming out with a label involved and all of this stuff. I know I’m not ‘seasoned’ yet, but it feels new, exciting and different.”

As for the new EP itself, pushing forth a collection of seven songs is still a bit of a new experience for Coddington, who’s gotten this far by steadily releasing a single at a time. The title track and opener is a perfect example of the wild, emotional ride that Letdown. enjoys taking his fans on. The song builds into a pumped-up anthem that you can’t help but sing along to, and behind the reactive hook and catchy rhythm, Letdown. takes listeners through the experience and inner turmoil of trying to get over someone you can’t forget by wailing, “crying in the shower, but I can’t wash you away.”

“You ever listen to happy songs when you're upset or sad or depressed and they make you feel even worse?” Coddington asks with a smirk. “That’s what ‘Crying in the Shower’ is for me. It's like, ‘Here's a list of terrible things, set to an incredibly upbeat, happy beat’ — which is almost a metaphor for me. I’m a happy-looking guy who is quite the opposite on the inside.” Elsewhere, the EP continues to document Coddington’s internal struggle as he searches for answers in times of darkness, uncertainty and self-doubt on stadium-sized singles “Go To Hell”, “Empty”, “Shipwreck” and “Ugly”, a soaring, pop-rock belter featuring Kelsy Karter & the Heroines that encompasses the types of thoughts related to self image and how we perceive ourselves. “That song is a literal depiction of how I feel about myself,” Coddington adds. “It may be a dichotomy between the actual person that I am and the person that I see in the mirror as my flaws are sometimes all I see. As I try to disassociate from the me that I hate, I also struggle with the reality that we are one and the same.”

In regards to the release of his first full body of music, Coddington remains thrilled for his future, the development of Letdown.,

and continuing to connect with those who have found solace in his powerful online community. “Getting to put out something like

an EP seems so classic to me, which makes me really excited about it.” he says. “I’m honestly just excited that people won’t

have to select another song after each one and can just ride the wave. I think we've really curated it in a way that takes you on

an emotional rollercoaster — in the best way possible.”
