Chase Atlantic Drop New Single "MAMACITA" — LISTEN

Chase Atlantic — Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony— are back with a fresh and woozy track in the form of "MAMACITA."

Listen
below.

The Aussie-born, LA-based trio are authors of their own genre, once again blurring the boundaries of modern, Gen Z-inspired pop music. Here, they cross-pollinate Latin beats, hip-swaying, tropical percussion, fresh and sunny soundscapes, and sweet vocal melodies. If there was ever a track to extend the summer, it's "MAMACITA."

You'll find yourself loving and needing Chase Atlantic and "MAMACITA" — as you keep reaching for the repeat button.

Representing the missing link between woozy trap, nocturnal R&B, and psychedelically-spun alternative, Chase Atlantic blur boundaries of modern, Gen Z-inspired pop music by being fearlessly experimental. The band has amassed over 3.7 billion Spotify streams, and has received acclaim from Billboard, OnesToWatch, mxdwn, PopCrush, Alternative Press, Substream Magazine, and Rock Sound, of which they graced the cover. The Australia-born and Los Angeles-based trio — Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony — boldly push forward on a prolific creative journey while signed to Fearless Records. Most recently, the single "OHMAMI" hit an impressive 96 million streams in only six months. Along the way, they canvased multiple continents, headlined across the U.S., UK, and Europe, and sold out venues, such as the Hammersmith Apollos in the UK (15,000 people, 3 times) and The YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The band currently has arenas on hold for 2024, in addition to gracing the stages of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and main stage Reading & Leeds in 2023. They return with their new single "MAMACITA" and continue to author their own genre!

Trans-Atlantic collective LUSITANIAN GHOSTS presents new 'Lusitanian Ghosts III' album & reveals video for 'Got Enough'

"Magnetic appeal... creating a broader cultural and sonic arsenal, while maintaining a buoyancy that takes the listener on a fantastic ride from start to finish" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Lusitanian Ghosts impressively channel tools of the past to create a beautiful sonic vision. Innovative in their use of traditional instruments to make modern pop-rock, this music is upbeat, quirky, feels familiar and is catchy as hell" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Highly melodic and sonically great...  a pertinent, contemporary collection of songs that is full of dignity" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Instinctive captivation for their chordophone cast sound, their use of heritage folk violas to weaving fresh and modern adventures... easily sparked the imagination" ~ Ringmaster Review

Trans-Atlantic alternative neo-folk collective
Lusitanian Ghosts have released their third album 'Lusitanian Ghosts III' via European Phonographic. Released in both stereo and mono versions, this album was recorded and mixed at Clouds Hill Studios in Hamburg by Sebastian Muxfeldt (Elbow, Peter Doherty, Teenage Fanclub).

The band also reveal their new video for
'Got Enough'. Directed and edited by August Wigg and filmed in Lisbon, Portugal, this video features core members Neil Leyton and Micke Ghost (a.k.a. Mikael Lundin) in turn as they share vocal duties.

A Portuguese-Canadian-Swedish chordophone collective, Lusitanian Ghosts revives lost instruments and presents ancient sounds in the 21st Century. Re-casting these heritage folk violas into rock n roll songs, the European artist collective writes from a socio-political perspective on building a better world, creating songs for the heart and mind, recording on analogue tape and releasing moving music on vinyl.

Together with João Sousa, Abel Beja (from Primitive Reason), ToZé Bexiga (from Raia) and Jan-Eric Olsson, Lusitanian Ghosts plays traditional Portuguese chordophone instruments, ancient regional guitars (Amarantina, Beiroa, Campaniça, Braguesa, Toeira, Terceirense). These instruments, once on the verge of extinction, are the real "Lusitanian Ghosts" (Lusitania being an ancient Celtic tribe in what would become the central territory of Portugal).

"For 'Lusitanian Ghosts III', we wanted to write and record all together, live off the floor, on analogue tape like we used to back in the 20th century. Lyrically, we explored deeper emotional territory than ever before, and sonically we ended up mixing each song twice - in mono and stereo - leading to two different LPs," says Neil Leyton.

"We mixed down from 24-track multitrack analogue to 1/4 inch analogue also, then reeled the machine straight to the mastering suite next door at Clouds Hill, Soundgarden Tonstudio in Hamburg. I know it is a common thing to say, but I'm going to say it is the best record I've ever made."

The band recently shared the singles
'The Long Train', 'Shameless'and 'September', bringing to the fore the Portuguese folk chordophone violas Amarantina, Campaniça and Terceirense, skilfully played by Michael Lundin, ToZé Bexiga and Abel Beja respectively. Lusitanian Ghosts make music with absolutely no guitars - just chordophones, bass and drums. Although a brand new rock n roll alt-folk sub-genre, these songs feel warmly familiar.

Released on September 15, the 'Lusitanian Ghosts III' album is available
everywhere digitally, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, as well as on vinyl, with both mono version and stereo version available.

On October 14, the Ghosts will present the new album live at Lisbon's
Teatro Taborda. Folks purchasing this album from FNAC Portugal will also get a complimentary guest-list ticket for this album release show.

Emerging Grunge Band G.U.S.H. Debuts Second Single, "Down the Drain"

Emerging grunge trio G.U.S.H. is leading the charge in 90s' grunge revival, calling to a very specific nostalgia familiar to kids who grew up during the heydays of MTV and Nickelodeon. The alt-rockers are now debuting the gritty second new single, "Down the Drain," which can be found below.

G.U.S.H. songwriter Roger LeBlanc comments on the deep meaning behind the song, "'Down the Drain' is an exploration of grief through the suicide of one of my closest friends. It's a conversation that I never got to have with him and explores the guilt I will always feel for not being there when it mattered most. I miss you immensely Chev. If you or anyone you know is experiencing thoughts of suicide please contact (In Canada) TALK SUICIDE CANADA: #1(833)456-4566 and (In USA) Suicide and Crises Hotline: #988."

Currently, G.U.S.H. is an independent D.I.Y. act and is gearing up to reveal their debut self-titled full-length, for which more info will soon be announced! In the meantime, you can stream the new single across all streaming platforms HERE and peep the artwork and tracklisting below!

The 90s’ was the last decade to champion alternative music; grunge topped the charts as glam metal started to falter, MTV was not only dedicated to serving household audiences with new and legacy music, but also saw the dawn of Mike Judge cartoons that paid homage to rock and metal culture, and even Nickelodeon sought artists such as Devo, Iggy Pop, Blondie, and Third Eye Blind to participate in their children’s programming, be it through musical introduction numbers for iconic TV shows or unlikely cameos. As millennials broke into the aughts and approached their teen years, the alt-mania started to fade away. MTV gradually stopped purveying music and became a hub for reality television instead. Nickelodeon lost its edge and iconic branding. And above all, the rockers who wrote some of the most legendary music of the era started to meet their demise. Now, nearly 30 years after grunge started to take the airways, a new era is being ushered in with G.U.S.H., an emerging band from Canada who is an amalgamation of 90s’ alt-nostalgia.

“90s alternative music played such a huge role for me, especially at such an impressionable age,” says G.U.S.H songwriter Roger LeBlanc. “My two cousins were Gen ‘X’ers and they introduced me to what would be the foundation that I base all music I create off of. Albums like ‘Nevermind,’ ‘Razorblade Suitcase’ and ‘Mellon Collie’ and ‘The Infinite Sadness.’ These all influenced what I love in my music – pop song structure, catchy hooks, guitar driven jams and an upfront drum production, all dripping with angst. Deftones showed me that you can mash up two totally opposing influences and make something unique and powerful.”

LeBlanc continues, “I think we were the first generation to really be left to our own to figure out life. Both parents were expected to be working in the 90’s and that created such a unique form of anxiety in every aspect of life which embodies itself in all the cultural aspects of the time. The cartoons were weird, so were the toys. Video games were really starting to explode and the internet had arrived. I kind of raised myself in that sense. MTV (Much Music in Canada) and PC Gamer magazines is where I got the only news I cared about in those days. I think the main way these play into G.U.S.H. is that it is kind of a call back to a more simple time for me, although the lyrics can be austere, this really is a project about healing and finding yourself again.”

For some, LeBlanc’s foray into alternative music might be a surprise, as he last musical venture was with the now defunct post-black metal horde Numenorean. In some ways, G.U.S.H. is a major diversion from Numenorean, but when one really reads between the lines, there’s a duality within the post-rock elements found within both projects, calling to more nuanced 90s acts like the Deftones, who always painted outside the lines with layers of texture. “I wanted to get back to the basics,” explains LeBlanc of this musical change. “I wanted to explore what made me fall in love with music to begin with. This is music I’ve always wanted to play and to be honest I really pushed to have more aspects of it in my black metal project. I just couldn’t find anyone who wanted to play or write music like this with me, so I just did it myself. Then I surrounded myself with artists who wanted to be there. At the end of the day, I wanted to fall in love with music all over again and just have fun. I feel like I lost that in my previous project and I am so excited to have it back.”

What’s striking about G.U.S.H.’s debut is the stark contrast between the bright music and dark lyrics, reminiscent of the forlorn icons of the 90s who battled their demons publicly through their deep and mournful words against the backdrop of high-energy riffs and beats. “I wanted to convey what it’s like to live with chronic mental illness and the challenges I face being Bipolar,” LeBlanc candidly explains. “I wanted to explore my practice of wearing a mask to protect the ones I love and to be able to function professionally as an artist. The lyrics are what I’m truly feeling and the conversations I have with myself. The cheerful instrumental aspect of the sound is the mask I wear when I’m out in the world. This also plays into the experience of the mood swings and crippling depression associated with being Bipolar.”

The stigma that often goes along with mental health struggles is one that had started to become erased and challenged by the forefathers of the grunge genre. Artists became more open about their battles with depression, anxiety, and addiction, paving the way for individuals to speak more candidly about their own personal demons and to seek help before it’s too late. “I think things got a little more basic in the 90’s with regards to music and being openly pissed off and depressed was okay,” LeBlanc explains. “The faces of music became more about the human condition, not really pretending to be anything else. Like, hair metal in the 80’s which was huge before Nirvana hit the scene. Those bands were very much a suspension of belief with tons of gimmicks. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, but I think different generations expect different things from their artists. 90’s grunge and alternative was just a group of folks playing in a band and writing emotionally charged music. The emphasis was on stripped down songwriting and less with the gimmicks or makeup or being ‘heavier’ than the other band. It was about writing good catchy jams and owning the pop influence. I hope that it influences people to not shy away from pop music, just because it’s pop music. There’s so much to learn from other people's creations. I hope that people hear all the influences in our music and go ‘Oh, shit, I never thought to do that, I’m totally going to steal that!’”

While the millennials will never get to experience the haunting live prowess of legends like Kurt Cobain or Layne Staley, and Gen Z starts to see the last of the 90s heroes leave this plain such as Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland, G.U.S.H. emerges as an answer to those yearning for the nostalgia that they never got to experience first hand. The band joins the ranks of some of LeBlanc’s favorite modern acts who strive to capture the cultural essence from before the turn of the century. “There’s a couple of really great modern bands that inspired me on this journey,” he remarks. “Dilly Dally, Dead Soft, Superheaven, Narrow Head, Teenage Wrist, Fleshwater and Loathe. All fucking awesome!” He cheekily adds another piece of his childhood that seems to have made its way into the 2020s. “Also, bucket hats are back…I don’t know if that’s a good thing though?”

As G.U.S.H. makes its debut as an independent artist, the band captures the irony of how musical digitalization has now empowered artists to be their own creators. Napster once caused grievous harm to musicians by eliminating music sales, but now with the rise of digital streaming services and Bandcamp, this unlikely medium has started to allow artists to become DIY entities and not tied to the limiting corporate structure of a record label. As the band begins its journey, there is no doubt that they will be among the leaders of the grunge revival movement, one that kids will rediscover in another 20 years and feel inspired to mimic. “I hope that it inspires people!” exclaims LeBlanc. “I hope that folks will get out of this album what I get out of the albums I love. I also hope it helps all my sad folks feel a little better knowing they aren’t alone. That’s what Nirvana and Deftones did for me. I hope that I can give that back in some way to someone else.”

AMARANTHE - Release New Single 'Insatiable' From Upcoming Album The Catalyst

Beam me up, AMARANTHE! Today, the Swedish modern metal virtuosos reach for the stars and launch their art even higher - into space, to be precise – with the release of the new single 'Insatiable'. Delivering an extraterrestrial late summer banger, AMARANTHE once again demonstrates their versatility, and the six-piece succeeds in keeping the world on their toes with their ongoing, high-quality output.

AMARANTHE's Olof Mörck states: "As the release of "The Catalyst" draws ever nearer, we are now very proud and super excited to unveil the second single from the album - "Insatiable"! Contrasts collide like a cataclysm in this ultra-heavy, yet outstandingly catchy groove-monster, which bears all the hallmarks of a classic AMARANTHE hit, and then some!
We once again teamed up with long-time collaborator and director extraordinaire Patric Ullaeus, for an all-out, take-no-prisoners video to go along with the song. Beyond that, this is a song you will NEED to hear live on our upcoming tour with our friends in DRAGONFORCE in the USA, so remember to practice those lyrics! And see you all soon!"

'Insatiable' is the second single from AMARANTHE's forthcoming album The Catalyst, that will see the light of the day on February 23rd, 2024, via Nuclear BlastRecords. The album will be available digitally and in different physical formats including CD, Vinyl, a 2CD Special Edition, and a Bravado exclusive Vinyl + signed poster.
Presave or preorder your format of choice here:

'Insatiable' comes with a stunning new video that the band released today. Watch it below.

The Catalyst is the most conceptually coherent piece of work in AMARANTHE's storied history. Dedicated to notions of transformation and revelation, it delves deeper than any previous album, as Olof Mörck explains.

"We’ve done these things before, but we’ve never been as theatrical as we have this time," Mörck grins. "In fact, we all questioned whether we went too far this time, but I also figured that this band was always this way. Literally, the first seconds of our first video was a big explosion! But yes, The Catalyst is more theatrical than ever. We’ve never really been symphonic or orchestral before, but this time we just thought why not? Because we can! The key to this album is that we let go of the boundaries and decided to do something even more adventurous."

The Catalyst represents the culmination of 15 years of hard work and the breathless pursuit of a wholly original musical vision. Change is inevitable. Victory is assured.

Formed in 2008, AMARANTHE walked their own unique path from the start. With a sound that combined the sharpest, cutting edges of melodic metal, electronic rock and razor-sharp pop, their impact was immediate and undeniable. Kicking off with their self-titled debut in 2011, the Swedes blazed a trail through the European metal scene and beyond, swiftly establishing themselves as a dazzling one-off, not least due to the unprecedented triple vocal attack that paired clean tones with exquisite melodic sensibilities and feral growls. Over the next few years, the sextet steadily grew in stature, releasing a series of praised studio records that jabbed persistently at the boundaries of modern metal.

AMARANTHE is:
Elize Ryd | vocals
Mikael Sehlin I growls
Nils Molin | vocals
Olof Mörck | guitars, keyboards
Johan Andreassen | bass
Morten Løwe Sørensen | drums

LYDIA CAN'T BREATHE Release Official Music Video for "Killerz"

Lydia Can't Breathe's electrifying track "Killerz" boasts a top-notch production by the dynamic duo of Andrew Wade and Andy Karpovck, who expertly crafted the sound at The Audio Compound in sunny Orlando, Florida. These two gifted producers have left their mark on the music scene, having previously collaborated with renowned acts such as Motionless in White, Attila, and A Day To Remember. Their collective expertise and creative synergy brought "Killerz" to life!

The new video "Killerz " by Lydia Can't Breathe shows a quick glimpse about the grim consequences of unpaid debts in the underworld, where power and respect are won by ruthless violence. "The visuals we got in this video are unreal! We shot it at an airport and got actual skydiving footage! The song tells a dark and heavy tale of a mercenary. The protagonist is consumed by his lust for power and respect, which he derives from his terrifying profession. The chorus is a chilling plea for mercy, suggesting the perspective of the hitman’s victims. The song speaks to the desperation, fear and regret that can come from making dangerous choices, and the brutal reality of a life ruled by power and violence. It gives a raw and visceral insight into both psyche of the violent enforcer and the fear of those facing imminent death,"says the band's frontman Kyle Bolduc.

Enemy Of Fate Releases Debut Single "Dear Dad" to all major platforms!

Enemy Of Fate's "Dear Dad" Official Lyric Video below.

Based in Sacramento, CA, Enemy Of Fate is led by singer and songwriter, Tiffany Fabiani. With comparisons to the likes of Adele, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Annie Lennox, and Ann Wilson, Tiffany’s powerful vibrato vocal range will be very distinct in her music. After trying out for NBCs “The Voice” in 2019 and 2021, and not advancing, Fabiani wanted to give up on making music. After strong encouragement from her husband, Mickey, Fabiani decided to go into the studio to write and record her passionate and personal debut track, “Dear Dad.” Working with producers, Nick Miller (guitarist for Original Skylit Drive) and Elliot Polokoff (Cemetery Sun), Fabiani was able to bring out some inner demons related to her relationship with her absent father, while finding some closure. After the release of her debut track today, September 22, 2023, Fabiani will be working on recording more music and will be releasing an EP, Settle the Score by early spring of 2024.

"This is a deeply personal song I wrote about my relationship with my real father. It took a lifetime to overcome the inner turmoil of an absent parent and to find peace and self-love. I hope that listeners who have similar experiences in their parental relationships can find solace knowing they are not alone," says the band's vocalist Tiffany Fabiani.

Dead Icarus, Feat. ex-Atreyu Singer Alex Varkatzas, Shares "The Vultures Circle" Video — WATCH

NEW PROJECT FEATURES FORMER ATREYU VOCALIST ALEX VARKATZAS

Dead Icarus, the new project of former Atreyu lead vocalist and Gold-selling artist Alex Varkatzas, has shared the video for the new track "The Vultures Circle."

Watch it
below.

"Hands down, this is the heaviest song I've ever been been involved with," Varkatzas says. "It's an 'F you' to the cancel culture that has infected society. 'Savior, Saint, Sinner, or Thief. Live long enough you'll die one of these.' It doesn't matter what's living inside you; it's just about what people wanna believe."

Dead Icarus previously shared the video for the new single "
Sellout." Watch it here. The track is a hyperkinetic slab of fast-paced, face-ripping metal with layered vocals and a pit-clearing breakdown. The song shows off a different side of the artist's musical personality. It hits hard, but it's also infused with a melody that just won't quit.

A staple of Ozzfest in the mid-2000s with two gold albums, Atreyu is one of the defining bands of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, alongside groups like Avenged Sevenfold and Lamb Of God. Metalcore classics like The Curse and A Death-Grip on Yesterday were powered by Alex's distinctive scream.

The band has officially signed a worldwide deal with MNRK Heavy.

ON THORNS I LAY Warn The End Is Coming on New Single

On Thorns I Lay are perennial doomsayers. For 20+ years, these Greek titans have been crafting immense tales of loss and despair. But on the new single off their upcoming album, they warn of a fast-approaching apocalypse that's so powerful, it might be too late for us to escape.

Watch the beautiful and barren video for "Thorns of Fire" below.

'On Thorns I Lay' comes out October 13.

"Thorns of Fire" is the grand finale on the band's upcoming self-titled album. So it's fitting that the song leaves us with a dark and doomy depiction of our final days. Cymbals crash with the  impending force of rising tides, while the riffs fall like acid rain, leaving no choice but to bang our heads as we face our inevitable demise.

"'Thorns of Fire' is about the crimes humanity has committed against the seed of life". says On Thorns I Lay.

Halfway through its near eight-minute runtime, "Thorns of Fire" simmers into a somber instrumental interlude. Ominous flute swirls amidst somber pricks of Christos Dragamestianos' tamboura, only for vocalist Peter Miliadis to swallow the near silence with his unholy inferno of a death growl.

"We humans defy the ways and laws of Nature," the band says,  "but we will not escape from its wrath and revenge!"

On Thorns I Lay started as a death metal band together with other cult bands in Greece in the early 90’s such as Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh, Necromantia, Nightfall and started to spread their name in the local and global underground scene.

The band has released 9 albums so far such as Orama, Crystal Tears, Aegean Sorrow and Threnos gaining great reviews in (Scream Norway, album of the month, Inferno Finland 5/5, Metal Storm Top 5 albums of 2020 and many others…). The have shared the stage with great bands such as Dream Theater, In Flames, Anathema, Amorphis, Katatonia, Rotting Christ, Tiamat, The Gathering, Satyricon, Septic Flesh and many more…

Their music style is pure atmospheric melodic doom death metal!

“Threnos”, their last album, followed the path of atmospheric, yet emotional Doom Death Metal – paying tribute to the roots and representing the trademark sound of the band once again. On Thorns I Lay continue to tell dense stories of loss and despair.

After their mini tour at the Baltic states with Rotting Christ  they signed a deal with the world famous record label Season Of Mist and they have finished the recordings of their 10th album entitled ‘On Thorns I Lay to be released in 2023.

The wait is over for EndEx. 3TEETH’s brand-new album – their first in four years – is now out via Century Media Records and is being hailed as a “champion[ing] industrial metal” (Blabbermouth), “an album of the year contender for the genre” (Razor’s Edge), and the “band's weirdest, most expansive offering yet” (Revolver).

To celebrate the album’s release, 3TEETH is also sharing the final single and video from the album, culminating in a cover of Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule the World.” The reworked take continues 3TEETH’s penchant for aggressive reworks of pop songs, previously seen on Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz” and Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record).”

See the video for “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” below.

Says frontman Alexis Mincolla of the track, “Listening to it, I felt the weight of the world and the wild-eyed frenzy of the human condition – the never-ending chase, the insatiable hunger. And in that moment, cruising down the highway, surrounded by the vastness of the desert, I realized: We're all just careening towards our own versions of world domination, fueled by dreams and delusions.”

EndEx showcases the modern industrial act at their most raucous yet, unveiling bold revelations of humanity’s technosocial disintegration behind a brutal soundtrack that sounds all the alarms. It’s the band’s first album since 2019’s Metawar, which Consequence recently named as one of the Top 50 Industrial Albums of All Time, hailing 3TEETH as “one of the modern bands keeping industrial alive.”

EndEx features the handiwork of a solid extended team including the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) who produced several of the tracks along with producer Nick Rowe and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN), bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Early singles have included noisemaker “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9); the gripping sonic salvo, “Merchant of the Void,” that touches on the bleak landscape of modern society amid A.I. takeovers and economic collapse; “Slum Planet,” taking aim at the ills of a sick planet obsessed with over-consumption at all costs; Scorpion,” a track in which the band’s instrumental arsenal is tempered by alluring female vocal chants that provide an ambient feel; the stripped-back single “Drift,” paired with a video showing the band at work in the studio; and the rousing “Higher Than Death” paired with an animated video.

EndEx is available in CD, Gatefold LP, and digital album formats. Special formats include:

  • Red LP (available at all EU outlets)

  • Red Smoke LP (available at all US outlets)

  • Ultra-Clear / Red Splatter LP (available from 3TEETH)

  • Black-White Marbled LP (available from Revolver)

3TEETH has also announced a show to close out 2023 at L.A.’s Teragram Ballroom on December 29. Tickets are on sale now at www.3teeth.org.

ABOUT 3TEETH

3TEETH first manifested their cybersocial intentions as early as 2013: a musical entity born out of Mincolla’s Downtown L.A. weekly gatherings known as “Lil’ Death” With Xavier Swafford (keys, synth), Chase Brawner (guitars) and Andrew Means (bass, synth) joining Mincolla. 3TEETH released their first self-titled album the following year. Alliances with the likes of TOOL and Rammstein resulted in the collective’s first live performances and a rise to further notoriety with the release of 2017’s album shutdown.exe. which took 3TEETH to global stages. Working alongside producer and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN) at new label home, Century Media, 3TEETH upped their own sonic arms race with Metawar (2019) and entered a new echelon of cultural consciousness with a collection of tracks including the biting “President X” and their haunting take on Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.”

Dark electronic songstress STELLA WEMBLEY unleashes new 'Wasting My Time' EP with medieval goth-inspired video

“There is a longing within the lyrics as well as a diversity in the music that both tugs on the heart and pulls with the beat in a way that leaves the listener in a state of reflection and admiration” ~ Jammerzine

"On the verge between darkwave and electro-goth, Stella Wembley presents a haunting track that fluctuates between danceability and heart pounding shrieks, conjuring primal emotions. This spine-tingling offering qualifies as sorcerer music, a summoning force harnessing the power of repetition and unique female vocals" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Black magic, death, sex, erotic obsessions and supernatural landscapes fill my thoughts in a kaleidescope of jaw-dropping narratives straight out of H.P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan Poe and Dean Koontz" ~  DJ Darren the Baron, Revolution Radio Online

Leeds-based Italian-born artist
Stella Wembley presents her 'Wasting My Time' EP, a four-track release of sheer electro-goth delight surrounding the track 'Wasting My Time'. A vocalist, lyricist, composer, music producer and video director, Wembley is a rising star of the UK dark synth and gothic scene.

The loop- and arpeggio-driven synth backdrop feeds a retro new-wave vibe, and the catchy chorus underlines multiple conflicting sensations from dark melancholy to fiery self-expression, while exploring the esoteric and mystical and ultimately death, rebirth and destiny.

"The song 'Wasting My Time' is about self-confidence, self-empowerment, hope, change and transformation. Whenever there is a traumatic experience, I take the pain and put it into art, creating a song. The lyrics are autobiographical, and reference the difficulties I have gone through in the last 14 years, which I've finally overcome," says Stella Wembley.

"Betrayal, judgment and abandonment have been a constant in my life, and extremely painful, especially because it came from the people closest to me - family, friends- and having to manage this as well as my music career and record label wasn’t easy. This is how this song was born but, above all, it represents a new chapter in my life. Today, I feel powerful, and stronger than ever. I left the past in the past and cut all toxic relationships from my life. I love myself and I am finally free."

Directed and produced by Stella Wembley,
the video – set in Medieval 13th century England – was filmed at Kirkstall Abbey and Adel Woods in Leeds by Riccardo Cavani for London Filmmakers. Stella cast 12 females, working with a small team she hired and directed herself, in addition to writing the script and creating the storyboard for the video.

Two of the remixes - 'Bionic Visions Electro Remix' and 'Bionic Visions Dark Ambient Remix' - were created by
Enrico Knob aka Bionic Visions, an Italian music producer, arranger and re-mixer.

Stella Wembley comments, "These remixes are sublime, I really don't know which one I prefer between the two. I'm very happy to have met Enrico Knob, who is a fantastic producer and has understood straight away my music and vision. The electro version has fantastic drum samples, which Enrico programmed, and amazing sounds. I love the analog synths. I think this electronic version is perhaps more modern than my "retro" version. The melody stands out a lot, and although the drums are very present the song still remains nostalgic."

Stella began her musical career in Italy as a soprano while studying opera at the Royal Conservatory of Music ‘San Pietro a Majella’ in Naples. Upon graduating, she found limited opportunities on the Italian music scene, she moved to London in 2017, where she found inspiration and avenues as a musician, performing at venues in Leeds, Blackpool and London. Stella Wembey is also now the CEO of her own independent label Gothic Empire Records.

Armed with MicroKorg synthesizer, she began writing and producing electronic music in 2018, resulting in her debut EP
‘All That I Need’ (2019) and dark debut video, followed by the ‘Images of Death' EP (2020) and ‘Loving The Alien’ EP (2022), along with cabaret-style video.

Channeling her lifelong love of dark poetry, horror stories, macabre literature and cinema into music, Wembley leads the listener into a haunted realm, laying bare her soul in a psycho-drama of tragedy and melancholic sensuality. Powerful, yet with a hint of vulnerability, she is like a beautiful siren calling us to join her in her dark universe.

Stella Wembley has collaborated or performed with Lloyd Price (The Frixion), Auger, Inkubus Sukkubus, Zeitgeist Zero, Last July, Rome Burns and Machine Rox. Stella is currently working on her new album 'The Alchemy of the Dark Arts', which will feature Michael Ciravolo (a.k.a. Beauty in Chaos) on guitar.

The 'Wasting My Time' EP is out now, available everywhere digitally, including
Apple Music and Spotify. On September 29, Stella will hold a release party online, followed by a live show at Leeds’ Eiger Studios on October 29.

KOLBY COOPER SAYS “HELLO FROM THE ROAD,” AVAILABLE NOW

Praised by People as “Country music’s newest badass,” Kolby Cooper has been packing out venues and racking in streaming numbers typically reserved for household names since he was 18 years old. Now at only 24, the touring powerhouse and prolifically gifted songwriter with a frantically devoted fanbase dials in on the highs and lows of being on the road and the loneliness felt being away from loved ones with his latest “Hello From The Road,” available today via BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records in partnership with Combustion Music. Listen now below.

Wishing he was at home while also enjoying the perks of tour life with his band and seeing the world, Cooper brings his vivid storytelling to life with a magnetically enticing beat.

“'Hello From The Road’ is a song we wrote about being on the road for the past 4 years, and it was specifically inspired by a night in Birmingham after a show when our former merch guy got knocked out cold in a pool game gone wrong,” explained Cooper. “I called my wife when we got back to the bus and told her it was crazy out here, and I can’t wait to be home."

Written by Cooper with David Garcia and Brett Tyler and produced by Andrew Baylis, “Hello From The Road” continues his newly unveiled Country-rocker sound and follows his Grand Ole Opry debut, the fiery anthem “
Kill Me” released earlier this summer, and his acclaimed label-debut album, Boy From Anderson County To The Moon, that Whiskey Riff and Raised Rowdy declared as one of the top albums of 2022.

Continuing his strenuous packed-out headlining tour-schedule throughout 2023, Kolby Cooper has “proven that he has everything it takes to hang with the big dawgs in country music"
(Whiskey Riff).

About Kolby Cooper:
Only three years out of high school, still living in his small hometown of Bradford, Texas, Kolby Cooper started selling out shows and clocking millions of streams using only his songs as muscle, earning streaming numbers competitive with household names. Now, at only 24 years old, having amassed over 330 million on-demand streams, Cooper’s label debut album Boy From Anderson County To The Moon is out now via BBR Music Group / Wheelhouse Records in partnership with Combustion Music. A prolific songwriter known for his cut-throat, highly relatable break-up anthems and uncensored lyrics, “Cooper has already made quite the name for himself” (American Songwriter), writing songs that fans sing back to him from the very first note, including just-released tracks. “Blazing a trail to stardom” (People), “there’s one thing for certain about Cooper…the man is versatile as all hell. He can have you hyped up through the roof or have you crying in your beer at the corner of a bar on a Friday night” (Whiskey Riff). Now, “Country Music’s Newest Badass” (People) is giving his rabid fanbase exactly what they demanded with his latest “Hello From The Road” and the fiery anthem “Kill Me,” introducing a fresh, pumped-up new sound that’s been commanding his electric live shows. Continuing his strenuous tour schedule throughout 2023, catch Cooper headlining sold-out shows all over the country, bringing with him his signature blend of wailing electric guitar and stadium-level anthems. Theory of A Deadman Share New Holiday Track "Missing You This Christmas" — LISTEN

NEW STUDIO ALBUM DINOSAUR OUT NOW

Today, multi-platinum rock band Theory Of A Deadman has shared their brand-new holiday track "Missing You This Christmas."

Listen
Below.

Elaborating on the track, frontman Tyler Connolly shared, "We've never done an original holiday track and for some reason the timing seemed right. Maybe it was all the years of hearing Mariah Carey in Target that sparked the idea."

"Missing You This Christmas" marks the first new music from Theory Of A Deadman since the arrival of their new studio album, Dinosaur, which was released earlier this year via Roadrunner Records. Dinosaur, Theory's eighth full-length, features their Top 10 Active Rock Radio hit "Dinosaur" and marks an overall return to form stylistically for the chart-topping Canadian quartet.

Dinosaur, the follow-up to 2020's acclaimed album Say Nothing, was produced by Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, YUNGBLUD) and recorded in Sweden at Atlantis Studios, made famous by ABBA. The 10-track collection features the hard-hitting title track "Dinosaur," and recent single "Two Of Us (Stuck)," which showcases Theory's signature wit. Elsewhere on the new album is the recklessly raucous and righteously catchy party song "Ambulance," the gritty "Medusa (Stone)," and the aggressive "Get In Line."

Theory Of A Deadman —  the aforementioned Connolly [lead vocals, guitar], Dave Brenner [guitar, backing vocals], Dean Back [bass], and Joey Dandeneau [drums, backing vocals] — will be on tour in the UK through the end of September and will return back to the states for a co-headline run with Skillet deemed the "Rock Resurrection Tour" which will kick off October 20 in Baton Rouge, LA. See below for all upcoming tour dates and visit www.theoryofficial.com for more info and to purchase tickets.

With sky-high hooks, riffs as thick as a 2x4, rumbling grooves, and a razor-sharp sense of humor, Theory Of A Deadman have quietly persisted as an unapologetic, unbreakable, and undeniable hard rock force with major multi-platinum hits and countless sold out shows in each of the past two decades. Jamming together in basements throughout high school, the band burst out of their small hometown of North Delta, British Columbia with the self-titled, Theory of a Deadman, during 2002. In addition to the double-platinum breakthrough album Scars & Souvenirs [2008] and gold-certified The Truth Is…[2011], Theory have notched a procession of hits, including the gold-certified "All Or Nothing," "Bitch Came Back," and "Lowlife," platinum-certified "Angel," "Hate My Life," and "Not Meant To Be," double-platinum "Bad Girlfriend," and triple-platinum "RX (Medicate)." As the biggest smash of their career thus far, the latter hit, off their 2017 album Wake Up Call, marked their third #1 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and garnered a nomination for "Rock Song of the Year" at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The award-winning band’s last studio album Say Nothing, featuring the chart-topping and powerful single "History of Violence," landed at #2 on the BillboardAlternative Albums Chart and #3 on the Rock Albums Chart. Theory Of A Deadman’s impressive catalogue has also logged two Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and amassed more than 1 billion collective streams on Spotify alone and over 700 million views on their official YouTube.

Silent Planet Share "Anunnaki" Video — WATCH

NEW ALBUM SUPERBLOOM OUT NOVEMBER 3 VIA SOLID STATE RECORDS

TOURING WITH DAYSEEKER

California metal band SILENT PLANET will release their new album SUPERBLOOM. It arrives November 3 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it
here. The release date is significant for the band, as it arrives on the anniversary of their horrific van accident. But it is also a testament to their resilience!

Today, the band shares the video for new single "
Anunnaki." Watch it below

Singer Garrett Russell cryptically says, "Something stirs in the forest. Under the smoldering shadow of Mt. Shasta, extending to the forgotten reaches of the Lost Coast. Our footsteps dredged up the last rites of an annihilated people; their suffering-turned curse coalesced into a blighted, blasphemous body. Listen closely. Behind the serene forest song hangs a dissonant note. A blood-thirsting shriek swings in the air, wrapping the fallen boughs of sequoias… resounding through the valley. Descendants of an ancient race — beings crossed between humans and beings from another dimensions - they remain and and hold the memory of the native martyrs. Their presence demands vengeance. They are the forgotten giants. They are the Anunnaki."

Silent Planet have consistently transfixed a diehard fanbase. The group dropped a string of acclaimed albums, including The Night God Slept [2014], Everything Was Sound [2016], When The End Began [2018], and Iridescent[2021]. Album standout "Trilogy" generated 5.3 million Spotify streams to sit alongside their genre-bending triumph "Panic Room" from the 2016 release, currently at 5 million. The guys notably took home "Best Underground Band" at the 2017 Alternative Press Music Awards and toured with the likes of Motionless In White, August Burns Red, Beartooth, and The Contortionist.

Over the course of two years, they recorded what would become SUPERBLOOMin Woodland Hills, CA alongside longtime producer and frequent collaborator Daniel Braunstein. A jarring turn of events split the process into two seasons. Trekking through a Wyoming snowstorm in November 2022, Silent Planet survived a vehicle accident. The van flipped over, leaving the group laying in the wreckage of a bitter Wyoming snowstorm as Garrett was hospitalized with a fractured back and head wound requiring stitches.

"The majority of us were awake when we felt the van start to slide," he says. "We had some time to come to grips with the fact we were about to go down and have a close brush with death. Afterwards, we talked about what to do with the band. We went back into the record with an increased willingness to take risks. It bolstered our confidence to try new things. When the accident happened, it did something to my head, and it fed into the album."

Along the way, they settled on a conceptual framework, expanding the scope of their vision like never before. "I grew up in Northern California," he continues. "There's a strip of the state known as Humboldt County, but it's called the 'Lost Cove.' It's a hotbed for strange and paranormal events like UFO and Big Foot sightings. There's so much we haven't uncovered. It's possible our reality as we know it is not complete. We started telling the tale of a 17-year-old who went missing. It's based on a true story with many details changed. Art dictates reality, and reality dictates art. Making this record was a very strange and mystical process. It's the most magical and inspired moment of our career so far.

Silent Planet will return to the road this September, supporting Dayseeker. All dates are below, including Silent Planet headline shows.

Peter G. Holmström (The Dandy Warhols) presents Pete International Airport album 'It Felt Like the End of the World' & video for 'Next of Kin' feat. Lisa Elle (Dark Horses)

From the city of Portland and the depths of one's psyche comes Pete International Airport, which revolves around Peter G. Holmström of The Dandy Warhols, who has released the new album 'It Felt Like The End of the World' via Little Cloud Records.

Their third album, this is a meticulously crafted psychedelic rock journey into the dark heart of electronica. It is also a triumph of process and vision. Mixed by Jeremy Sherrer at
Spooky Electric Co. (Modest Mouse, The Shins, The Dandy Warhols), the album was mastered by Dave Coley at Elysian Mastering.

"This record was mostly written and recorded during the pandemic so sonically and lyrically it can’t help but be influenced by what we all went through.  There is a melancholy darkness as well as a peaceful beauty.  The album title came from a “fairytale/poem” that is whispered at the end of
'Sea Of Eyes'. It perfectly captures the hopeful/scary feeling of change that comes at the end of something," says Peter G. Holmström.

Named after a song by
The Dandy Warhols, this eclectic project nails the elusive aesthetic of unexpected yet inviting sound art. Pete International Airport's quest to build immersive soundscapes that are also classic, catchy songs is successful, in part, due to Holmström’s uncanny ability to curate and his penchant for dropping collaborators into challenging creative spaces—both virtual and actual—then letting them duke it out.

This album features numerous guests, including
Rachel Goswell (Slowdive, Mojave 3), Alexander Hackett (Pang Attack), Dion Lunadon (A Place To Bury Strangers, The D4), and none-other-than Cheap Trick's Tom Petersson on 12-string bass, each tangling with PIA’s usual coterie of musical foils with songs merging into Holmström’s hyper-stylized world of symbols, themes and archetypes.

Pete International Airport also presents the video for
'Next of Kin' featuring Lisa Elle of Dark Horses, who says, “In the depths of isolation, I recall wanting to overcome the usual caution and hesitation one often experiences when faced with lots of time and choice. Recognising that life is fleeing can actually be life affirming. This is a song born of frustration and a need to push onwards full heartedly. Working with Peter remotely has been, on the one hand a private experience  - developing ideas and recording by myself but also a liberating exercise in surrender and real creative acceptance”.

The album's core roster boasts the cream of the neo-psychedelic crop, of which The Dandy Warhols and their shadow, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, are the reigning kings. Members of Dark Horses, Omniscuro, Sun Atoms, Guiding Light and Hopewell, most of whom are repeat collaborators and on-again / off-again members of the live band, give voice to the album’s elegiac thesis while adding more light and hope than could be expected from this scene, at this time in history, and in a business that was just dealt a death blow by a pandemic.

The use of repetition - visually and sonically - and the use of limitations and boundaries (i.e. every Pete International Airport record has 11 songs) cements the collection into a beautifully cohesive whole that becomes more interesting with repeated listens. Peter, his long-time collaborator / producer Jeremy Sherrer, and his stable of co-creators have given us more than one album’s worth of hooks, ideas and beauty, somehow smelting them into a single monolith of sound that is accessible from any point, celebrating a world that just keeps ending.

"Musically, this record started with an obsession on the bass tone/line from The Cure’s 'Fascination Street' and a healthy appreciation of the detail in their sonic density.  Most songs start on an acoustic, which in most cases gets muted somewhere in the process. Then layers of beats, bass lines, melodies, arpeggios, etc. get added / removed until the piece of music is interesting enough to entice someone to write lyrics and sing on it,," says Peter G. Holmström.

"Lyrically, I might suggest a topic that captures our dark chaotic world without sounding preachy.  Sometimes the singers listen to me, other times they follow what the song makes them feel."

'It Felt Like The End of the World' is out now via Little Cloud Records, downloadable from fine music platforms, such as

CREEPER SHARE "BLACK HEAVEN" VIDEO — WATCH

BAND TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM SANGUIVORE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13 VIA SPINEFARM

As they prepare to unleash their third full-length album Sanguivore on Friday, October 13, CREEPER have continued to expand the scope of their frenetic, flamboyant goth-punk heart that took their previous album, Sex, Death & The Infinite Void into the Top 5 of the Official Album Chart. First "Cry To Heaven" came across like an unholy union between The Sisters of Mercy and Glenn Danzig, before "Teenage Sacrifice" channelled the ire and anthemic punch of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden in their early '80s pomp.

Now, CREEPER embrace a darker side of black with their new single "
Black Heaven."

Watch the visualizer
below.

"Black Heaven" adds new sonic elements to CREEPER's swaggering gothic heart, with looming, ominous synths entangled like barbed wire around Ian Miles' serrated riffs, which recall the sinister side of electro-pop and the darkwave scene of the early '80s. Presenting an important moment in the story between the album's core characters, Spook and Mercy, the vocal interplay between William Von Ghould's baritone croon and Hannah Hermione'ssweetly alluring vocal harmonies provides another standout touch, which was inspired by Nick Cave's collaboration with the McGarrigle Sisters on the Bad Seeds' track "Hallelujah."

William Von Ghould says, "This song allows us to show a new side to the band and sees us experimenting with electronic elements properly for the first time. Taking influence from Depeche Mode and New Order, we try to push the boundaries of our sound out further than they’ve been before."

Produced by Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood), the upcoming Sanguivore album finds CREEPER going larger-than-life in every conceivable way, from Jim Steinman-style ripping rock operas to Billy Idol's punk/sleaze hybrid and the moody heavyweight electro-rock of Gary Numan. In a world that's getting darker by the moment, the vampiric thrills of Sanguivore offers fans a fantastical escape into the unknown, and one that's full of Easter eggs for those fans who thoroughly immerse themselves within every detail of the record.

Sanguivore is available to pre-order HERE.

Joining the previously announced four vinyl variants which come with a signed art print are some new formats: a limited edition red cassette, and a limited edition card sleeve CD with alternate artwork.

After a surprise second stage headline set at Download and then playing theOVO Arena Wembley as part of the Heavy Music Awards, CREEPER recently announced a London Lafayette show under their alter ego The Ghost Brigade, which sold out instantly. The band will then embark upon the "Sacred Blasphemy" headline tour in November, which concludes with a second much larger London show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire and is also about to sell out. Remaining tickets for the tour, dates listed below, are available HERE.
