Elle King continues to prove why her music is as genre fluid as her fans’ playlists. The multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and Diplo have teamed on “Without You,” (listen here) a new song out today. The song is also accompanied by a music video that was filmed in Nashville during CMA Fest and can be seen below.
Of the new collaboration, American Songwriter says, “The twangy track marries a fast-picking banjo with a dreamy acoustic pop melody, with King taking lead vocals.”
Announced earlier today, King has joined the Campaign to Preserve Rockwood Music Hall in New York City. The iconic venue has hosted more than 75,000 shows and helped launched the careers of thousands of artists. The benefit concert series will kick-off June 30 with a performance by Sara Bareilles, who is leading the campaign. King will headline a show there on July 31 and the series also includes performances by Chris Thile, Ingrid Michaelson and more. Tickets are available here.
King celebrated the beginning of the summer tour season last night with an hour-long set to a massive festival crowd at Summerfest in Milwaukee. The show also featured CMA Award winning singer-songwriter Eric Church.
On Saturday King takes part in the Boise Music Festival which includes performances by Jelly Roll and Ludacris. On Sunday she headlines the Sun Valley Museum of Arts Summer Concert and Monday she joins Melissa Etheridge in Salt Lake City for the Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series.
Earlier this month she hosted CMA Fest, the Music Event of Summer with Dierks Bentley and Lainey Wilson in Nashville. The three-hour primetime concert special that will air July 19 will include performances by some of the biggest names in music! CMA Music Fest is celebrating its Milestone 50th Anniversary.

Hopsin Drops "Single on Singel" Video — WATCH
THE RETURN OF HOPSIN PERFORMANCES TAKES PLACE IN COLORADO SPRINGS THIS AUGUST
One of the preeminent independent artists of this generation touted by everyone from Eminem to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and streamed 1 billion-plus times, rapper HOPSIN has returned with another new track. A few months after he dropped the video for the single, "Rebirth," fans of HOPSIN are in for a true metamorphosis of the artist.
Upon hitting play on "Single on Singel," loyal listeners can expect the same high-energy Hop whilst ushering in a European-inspired, hopeless romantic that we can all relate to. HOPSIN's pummeling lyrics spat on top of the hauntingly beautiful chorus provided by songstress, Adriana Aslani, reveals a chapter of Hop that we have yet to explore.
A man of the people, HOPSIN has announced his public return to the stage this August in Colorado Springs at Sunshine Studios Live. Never one to waste an opportunity, this show is slated to be 2023's cannot-miss-performances, with Hop locked and loaded with fan favorites and new singles to set ablaze. Out of the shadows and returned from the streets of Amsterdam, it is officially time to clock back in to work as one of the most charismatic, creative, and unique artists hip hop has to offer. Touted by Talib Kwali as “"he type of artist who makes me want to be a better writer," HOPSIN, the Undercover Prodigy, is back.
HOPSIN SHARES VIDEO FOR "SINGLE ON SINGEL" below:
ABOUT HOPSIN:
Continuing a tireless grind as one of independent music's most inspired, impactful, and influential voices, Hopsin continually levels up his signature lyrical mastery. In 2007, the Los Angeles spitter, producer, director, editor, actor, and Undercover Prodigy founder first made his presence known with no-holds barred lyricism, razor sharp rhymes, and fearless creativity. Posting up over 1 billion streams and views outside of the system, he infiltrated the mainstream on his own terms with three gold-certified singles to date, namely "Sag My Pants," "Ill Mind of Hopsin 5," and "Ill Mind of Hopsin 8." After attracting a faithful following with Raw [2010] and Knock Madness [2013], he crashed the Billboard Top 200 at #17 with Pound Syndrome in 2015. Most recently, 2017's No Shame moved 15,000 copies first-week and emerged as his second straight Top 20 entry on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Beyond selling out shows on multiple continents, he appeared on the cover of XXL as a "Freshman" and garnered plugs courtesy of Complex, Rolling Stone, The Source, Vibe, and Huffington Post, who profiled him as "The Real Best Rapper Alive." Not to mention, Eminem cited him among "the Logics, the Coles, the Seans, the K-Dots, the 5'9"s" on "Fall" from 2018's Kamikaze. After a series of transformative experiences, the rapper born Marcus Jamal Hopson painted the realest and rawest depiction of himself in 2021 with new singles "Your House" and "Alone With Me." He has recently been featured in Ebony, Psychology Today, and Thrasher.

Lybica, Feat. KsE Drummer Justin Foley, Share "Resonance" Video — WATCH // Touring This Summer
Lybica, a dynamic instrumental 4-piece from South Florida featuring Killswitch Engage drummer Justin Foley on guitar, have carved out an impressive name for themselves over the last year, persistently winning fans over with their flavorful guitar melody and powerful metallic crunch.
Their self-titled debut album was released last year on Metal Blade Records. Get it here.
Today, they have shared the video for album track "Resonance." Watch it below.
Produced by Vince Edwards, this trippy and quirky visual take on the track features background waves that are driven by the audio amplitude of the song and thus change as the audio changes.
"'Resonance' has become a live favorite of mine," says Foley. "Joey's feedback 'solo' in the bridge is different each night, and he really takes it to some spacey places. Come hear it for yourself when we hit the road with Loss Becomes and Godseyes. Can't wait to see you all out there on the road."
As Foley mentioned, Lybica are touring this summer with Loss Becomes. All dates are below.
Also, watch Foley's appearance on Chef Brain Tsao's YouTube channel to discuss some very important topics, namely pizza, here. Tsao is also guitarist for Loss Becomes, so it's all in the family!

ABOUT LYBICA:
Lybica's origin story can be traced back to 2020 when it became clear to Justin Foley that he wasn't going to be spending much time with his normal bandmates for a while. Quarantine days still needed to be time well spent, and he'd been working on some demos that he finally decided to share with a few local friends in South Florida. "I'd written a bunch of stuff that didn't quite fit into traditional song structures," Foley says. "And I've always been drawn to bands where the instruments provide hooks, rather than relying on a lyric. It seemed like a good time to start something new and see where it could go."
Foley met fellow musicians Doug French (Gravel Kings) and Joey Johnson(Gravel Kings, Barriers Now Bridges, Days Spent) back in 2016, and they had repeatedly talked about jamming together but never actually got around to it. Foley and French — both drummers by trade — often spoke about trying something different that allowed them each to get out from behind the kit. "I've always wanted to play a stringed instrument," French shares. "And bass felt natural, since it is the other half of the rhythm section."
Johnson grew up playing shows all over Florida, heavily influenced by early punk and then both hardcore and metal. "[People at] all the good places to get a beer kept asking me if I had met Justin, since they know I play music," he recalls. "I heard about him in our town for about a year before we actually met through mutual friends. We hit it off when we started talking [about] instrumental music."
When French and Johnson eventually received the demos from Foley, they really liked what they heard. For several months, the three of them emailed music back and forth while learning the parts, especially Foley and French on instruments — guitar and bass, respectively — that they weren't experienced playing. They eventually started playing together with the drum tracks from the demos blasting through the PA speakers. Before too long, they had enough music for a full record and the direction of the band was taking shape.
The band eventually recruited Orlando drummer James Christopher Lane of A Brilliant Lie to fill its "drummer vacancy." Lane, who was born and raised in Chicago and is currently based in Orlando, joined the band in December 2021.
The founding trio soon discovered that they had something else in common besides music. "The three of us are pretty big cat people," Foley points out. "So it only made sense to call the band Lybica." Named after a small wildcat species native to Africa that is widely considered the godfather of the modern house cat, Lybica is the first known feline species to be tamed and domesticated by humans. Fast forward 10,000 years, and today, Lybica the band are as addictive as catnip. Lybica are poised to make some serious noise in 2023 — fur-real.
DIFFERENCES Announce New Album, THE FAMILY PORTRAIT + Premiere Second Single 'JOURNALIST'
Spread out across Southern California, Melodic Hardcore quartet DIFFERENCES
was built from pain and loss while still being able to express power and growth through music and lyrical content. The band advocates for change by meticulously crafting and sharing their image and messages via music. Their sound brings energy to an exhilarating performance while exploring taboo and often not spoken about subjects ranging from drunk driving to their “no means no” stance on sexual assault.
On August 26th, DIFFERENCES will unleash their latest offering THE FAMILY PORTRAIT. The album which is being released independently delves into topics that the members have experienced both directly or indirectly via their family and friends, They do not shy away from exposing people who betray their trust when dealing with consent, the effects of loss, and substance abuse to name a few.
Today, DIFFERENCES premiere the music video for 'their second single, 'Journalist; on Dreambound's YouTube Channel. The emotionally driven music video was filmed by Ryenn Lyons and Gene Ramirez. Watch as the band tackles the very real process of grief and how it takes many forms as well as having hope, below.
DIFFERENCE's guitarist Gene Ramirez comments, "Journalist was written about a few different memories I have of my mother. When I was about eight, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and things got progressively worse with time. I remember vividly watching her become someone else as she lay bedridden at my aunt's house. She spoke like she longed for death, and quite often would speak to the picture of Jesus that was taped to the ceiling. Recently, my aunt took that photo down, but the outline of the photo is still on the ceiling in the living room. I remember not being able to accept what was happening to my mother at the time; at times she couldn’t remember who any of us were.
"Realizing now, I’ve written so many different kinds of songs, poems, and notes about my mother and there wasn’t anything else I could have ever done besides write. I am the 'JOURNALIST'. I wrote this song as an ode to my mother as well as coming to a realization that my mother was not who she was when she passed. I don’t know if I believe in heaven or hell, but I do hope if there is a heaven, that she’s up there waiting for me."

Chicago's Evidence of a Struggle presents visuals for 'Sal-E' from newly-released debut album
"Wonderfully cinematic, forward-thinking, open-minded, genre-hopping, rule-breaking... a symphony of sonics, subtlety and suppleness, and of the subverting of expectations" ~ Big Takeover Magazine
"Fascinating... This melodic journey expertly fuses the innovative textures of art rock with the insurgent spirit of alternative music... a complex and immersive auditory universe" ~ Post-Punk.com
"'Combines the coolness of electric jazz, Krautrock-inspired post-rock and atmospheric art rock... a gripping and upbeat, yet refined, sound and thoughtful arrangement with sonic prowess" ~ Amplify Music Magazine
"Chaotic and lovely" ~ Punk Rock Beat
Chicago-based artist Evidence of a Struggle has released his debut 13-track eponymous album and now reveals the video for the album's high-octane first track 'Sal-E'.
Surrounding the musings of multi-instrumentalist William P C Simmons V a.k.a. Rev. Billy Simmons, Evidence of a Struggle creates lush, cinematic, beautiful and sometimes chaotic compositions.
Under the guiding hand of renowned sound engineer Sanford Parker (Voivod, Russian Circles, Yob, Eyehategod, Wovenhand, Darkthrone, Youth Code, Pelican), this record takes the listener on a great instrumental journey, combining numerous sub-genres spanning the art rock and alternative music realm.
The album is complemented by a multi-chapter audio-visual storybook, created by Chicago artist John Airo, who has been involved with this project since the outset - creating videos, album covers and accompanying visuals for live performances.
"In my mind, for this song, I could see an epic entrance for a prizefighter. That fighter was fighting somebody that was and is building that paradigm, a rapidly inflating and increasingly detached dogma. Sounds strange, doesn’t it?! John seemed to mirror that feeling with this video. It feels like a call for a beleaguered society to WAKE UP!," says Rev. Billy.
Earlier, Evidence of a Struggle shared videos for their debut cinematic single 'Do'Oa' (a wonderful fusion of Tortoise and Dif Juz), followed by 'Alan's Song' (the sound of fear, beauty and hubris), and 'Bisquee' with its engaging off-kilter post-rock.
"John and I have been friends for over 30 years. We’ve had a unique opportunity to see each other grow as artists and have many parallel, perpendicular, and opposing viewpoints. It keeps things interesting. When we began talking about visuals to the sounds for this Evidence of a Struggle record, it was synesthesia," says Rev. Billy.
"I wanted to make sure we saw similar things, but I didn’t want to steer the narrative. I wanted to see what truths my sounds spoke to John. I wanted John to show me that our art could have a sustained dialogue on its own that was apparent to us and hope that it spoke to a larger group than our chosen mediums would have spoken to on their own."
Evidence of a Struggle began in 2020 during lockdowns. This ambitious effort sees Rev. Billy play every instrument – guitar, drums, piano, synth and violin - recorded and engineered from his home studio, The Glue Factory. Once Covid restrictions were lifted, Sanford Parker helped produce, record and master the final versions of these songs.
With a backstory involving collaborations with RCA recording artist Ké and various artists on major labels like RCA, Touch and Go, BMG and Universal, it is no surprise that Evidence of a Struggle would evolve. In 2023, Matt Walker (of1000faces, Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey, Garbage, Filter) became involved in this project, playing drums and helping with production with Matt's brother Solomon Walker (Morrissey, Bryan Adams, Eastern Shadows, Year of the Rabbit) and Alan Berliant (Chris Connelly, Mavis Staples, Saint Asonia) on bass.
Apart from music, Rev. Billy also owns Rev. Billy's Chop Shop, also known as an inclusive, creative space, hosting new artists' work bimonthly and declared by Chicago Reader as the city's best gallery in 2019. Rev. Billy passion for this Chop Shop is certainly as strong as his passion for music.
The 'Evidence of a Struggle' album was released on June 9, available via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Derek Sherinian and Simon Phillips to release ‘SHERINIAN/PHILLIPS LIVE’ - First single “Aurora Australis (Live)” out now!
SHERINIAN/PHILLIPS is the musical alliance of Derek Sherinian and Simon Phillips, whose parallel reputations in virtuosic sonic inventions combine on the backdrop of instrumental genre fusion. Though the two had written and recorded together in the past, commitments to other projects had kept them busy in their own circles for a time. Upon their reunion for the recording of 2020’s The Phoenix, the duo has been going strong with consistent new releases ever since. Now, they are pleased to announce the release of SHERINIAN/PHILLIPS LIVE, which exhibits the pair uniting once again for a collaborative effort, documenting a special concert recorded at The Grape in Ventura, California on August 29th, 2022. The set is due out on August 25th, 2023 on InsideOutMusic.
Joining Sherinian/Phillips are fellow creatives Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal on guitar and Ric Fierabracci on bass to round out the lineup of the evening. Several tracks from the latest studio album offering, Vortex, made their way into the set, such as the title track “Vortex”, “Seven Seas”, and “Aurora Australis” (the original recording of which featured Bumblefoot), alongside other instrumentals.
SHERINIAN/PHILLIPS LIVE has every note - planned or jammed - captured like lightning in a bottle, taking listeners to the moment these sounds sparked from their instruments. The live performance sits naturally in a rock context, while reminiscent of jazz fusion concert structures, with room for each musician to stand out in a solo space, each carrying and trading unique melodies along the way.
Derek Sherinian: “After 20 years of making albums together, it was a great pleasure bringing this music to life with Simon for the first time.”
The album will be available in the following formats: Black Vinyl | Ltd. CD Digipak | CD Jewelcase (North America) Pre-Order is available via this LINK
Sherinian’s background as a composer and keyboardist extends well beyond his familiar Dream Theater run, with a notable solo career creating a landscape for contributions from an array of acclaimed musicians, alongside performance credits with the likes of Alice Cooper, Black Country Communion, Billy Idol, Whitesnake, Kiss, Black Label Society, and Sons of Apollo (doubling on production credits), among others.
Phillips has equally rooted himself as a well-respected drummer and composer in the rock, metal, and jazz worlds, with credits ranging from Toto, Judas Priest, Jeff Beck, The Who, Whitesnake, and Joe Satriani, to a discography in jazz fusion with Protocol, movie soundtracks, and beyond.
The diverse range of this pair’s individual talents collectively emerges through each work they craft together; Sherinian and Phillips continue to evolve their joint musical endeavors in new directions.

THE RED STATE BLUES
Little piggy, squeal / When we cop a feel / You don't contest or don't mess with the man
With the gun in his hand
Wrists bound / Sewn mouth / You won't make a sound
Oh no / You can not go / We've got plans for you / As you're singing the red state blues
If you've got something to say then spit it out, 'cause you're up next in the scramble. There's no
one to hear you, no one to spare you, so let's scream together, say 'AH!'
Little piggy bitch /It's time to scratch that itch / You might have lost the map
But you followed the laughter/ And got what you were after
Hog tied /Wide-eyed/ In the countryside
Sweet breeze /Be free
You'd better run, piggy / Run piggy, run / You'd better run, boy

Check Out PHASERS ENGAGE Release New Single, "Awoken Intelligence"!
Electronic Rock band PHASERS ENGAGE has released their new single, "Awoken Intelligence." Fusing bouncy synths with infectious guitar rhythms and energetic percussion, "Awoken Intelligence" is off of the quartet's debut album, Departure Initiated!
“ 'Awoken Intelligence' is the second chapter of the story arc that is the album Departure Initiated. Our heroes find themselves in a new dimension, one where thought and reality are no longer separated.” - PHASERS ENGAGE
Phasers Engage is the crew of the interdimensional subspace vessel The Transcendence. This ship is actuated by their music and allows the crew to travel to new states of existence. Departure Initiated tells of the members finding each other outside of their normal states of reality, their journey together to get through what lies ahead (including, of course, a boss battle), and finally their discovery of The Transcendence. Their departure is initiated and they set forth, unbound, toward adventure.
The Devil's Trade Can See Clearly Now
The Devil's Trade is forging a new path. What started ten years ago as a solitary journey between Dávid György Makó and his banjo has grown into something that looks more like a band.
For 'Vidékek Vannak Idebenn', Makó leaned heavier on electronic textures. You could hear the added impact on the album's first single, which is shrouded in synths that shift like smoke over a mountain. But he also brought in his old friend and former bandmate Gáspár Binder, whose dark and stormy drumming sets off the clanging explosions of the title track.
"Clear Like the Wind" is something else. While it's still shadowed by ghostly synth glows, the stripped-down production harkens back to the very first Devil's Trade album. It's so quiet that you can hear Makó's right hand sliding up and down his guitar, repeating a simple but haunted melody, perhaps as a way to revisit this moment of regret.
'Vidékek Vannak Idebenn' came at a strange time for Makó. He could see that one period of his life was ending but couldn't quite tell when the next one would start. Instead, he found himself in a paraylzed state, floating somewhere between the past and present. "Clear Like the Wind" is about reaching out for help, but the lyrics could be addressed to Makó's younger self.
"Why can't we stay still?" he asks, his voice burly and weathered as a fallen oak branch. "Give me your hand before you leave".
"This one comes from a very weird place", Makó says about the new single. "When you're proper depressed, you don't even think of being depressed. You are just sitting in an empty place alone, being not able to let in anything that could help. You don't even create from this darkness. You are unable to express anything. I had been there and when you are able to make a sound, it is when you are slowly getting out of that place, even if only for a few minutes. This song comes from these minutes when I was able to realize my life had fallen to pieces. I am still unable to stand up and I let the only one who could have helped me leave."
'Vidékek Vannak Idebenn' is out July 14. Pre-save it HERE and pre-order it HERE.
liminal
/ˈlɪmɪnl/
adjective
TECHNICAL
occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.
"I was in the liminal space between past and present"
It is of no surprise liminal space is a key element in the next phase of The Devil’s Trade’s fourth album, ’Vidékek vannak idebenn’ (a title that loosely translates to ’There Are Landscapes Within’) as Dávid Makó, the man behind the moniker has indeed arrived to a threshold in his career, where the phase starting with his self-released debut ’Those Miles We Walked Alone’ ended after his latest album ’The Call of the Iron Peak’. The concept of liminal space itself is a not necessarily pleasant state of mind where you left behind your old life, but new doors haven’t exactly opened just yet.
As Makó states ’The process my first three records pieced together ended, that was no path for me to take anymore, but to take a step forward I had to make decisions I wasn’t inspired enough to make.’ – and from this frustrated, sort of paralyzed state of floating, a new incarnation of The Devil’s Trade was born and so was ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ along with it.
While still true to his solo artist roots, delivering gut-wrenching melodies of darkness and beauty on his own, Makó needed an expansion to his universe. With the addition of long-time friend and former bandmate Gáspár Binder on drums and a live keyboard player, he finally took the much needed step forward and ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ portrays the next sonic phase of The Devil’s Trade.
A soundtrack to the next phase of his life. A soundtrack to souls stuck in liminal space, hungry to adapt to new realities and to grow further, outside the boundaries which so often shackle them.

Fresh off their first-ever (and sold-out!) performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden, the World's Most Famous Arena last Friday, FALLING IN REVERSE have shared their cover of Papa Roach's "Last Resort." Watch the video and listen to "Last Resort (Reimagined)" here and below.
"I wanted to reimagine one of the biggest rock songs of the last 20 years, because lyrically, it is so powerful and resonates," says Ronnie Radke. "I got the blessing from [singer] Jacoby [Shaddix] and I think that Papa Roach are one of the nicest, humble, and most down to earth bands to date and it inspires me to keep going, since they have been so successful for so many years. This is me paying homage in the best way I know how."
Falling In Reverse also embark on its "The Popular Monstour" today, with special guests Ice Nine Kills. Special guests on select dates include Underoath, Slaughter To Prevail, Crown The Empire, and Catch Your Breath, making for a thrilling night of hard rock in each city the tour hits!
Falling In Reverse continue to explode by leaps and bounds in this nascent decade. The band's catalog has clocked over 2.7 billion — yes, billion — streams. Another recent single "Watch the World Burn" is at 135 million global streams (including 36 million video views) and landed at No 1 on multiple charts, including Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs, Hard Rock Digital Song Sales, and Alternative Digital Song Sales. Elsewhere, "Voices In My Head" garnered over 140 million million streams and was the #1 song of 2022 at SiriusXM's Octane, while "Zombified" has clocked 138 million and topped the active rock charts. Lastly, "Popular Monster" was also, well, a monster, that landed at #1 on the active rock charts, as well.

ABOUT FALLING IN REVERSE:
Platinum-selling rock band Falling In Reverse, lead by outspoken and charismatic singer Ronnie Radke, have been completely dominating the radio and streaming space in this new decade. The band, which formed back in 2008 and built itself as a mainstay of the Warped Tour scene while gracing many Alternative Press covers, has seen its latest single "Zombified" hit No. 1 Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart. The band has also been generating nearly 50 million total streams per month. Falling In Reverse's previous chart-topping single "Popular Monster" earned platinum RIAA status. The track is truly a juggernaut and is a watershed moment for the band. "Popular Monster" has been streamed nearly half-a-billion times and has emerged as one of the biggest anthems of the past several years. It enjoyed a multi-week stint at No. 1 on the rock radio charts, landing in the top spot on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Chart, and the Nielsen Rock Chart, and marked the first No.1 single of the band's career. It followed the gold certification of the band's 2011-released debut album The Drug in Me Is Youand a sold-out anniversary tour. During the shutdown that was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Radke quickly established himself as one of the most popular musicians streaming on the Twitch platform. In Winter 2022, the band returned to the road and embarked on the sold-out "Live From the Unknown" tour, further cementing its status as one of the top live draws in the genre. Falling In Reverse have continued to catch the eye of the press, with their career arc being spotlighted by top-tier, tastemaking publications such as Forbes, Billboard, New York Times, Pitchfork, and beyond.

We’re only just getting started,” says Rich Skillz.
LIAM HORNE, Born William Horne, is a Scottish-born Recording artist. I am so stoked to give this song another push and for everyone to see the video!"

Loss Becomes Share "L.O.F." Video — WATCH // Touring This Summer
LOSS BECOMES — Brian Tsao, Guitar; Will Gomez, Bass; Anthony Copozzi, Vocals; Anthony Lopardo, guitars; Sean Ageman, drums — have dropped the video for the new single "L.O.F." The song was originally titled "Capazism."
Watch it below.
"'L.O.F.' Is an abbreviation for 'lube oil filter,' which means 'oil change,'" says Copozzi. "[It's] a term my father has been using to communicate on paper what kind of job needs to be done on a customer's car. He’s been writing this down on a yellow notepad as far back as I can remember over at Nor-Bel Service Center. The song itself is pretty much about a personal 'mental/social oil change.' Oddly enough, when I saw him write it down again, it felt like a good fit to title the song “L.O.F.”
The band will also hit the road this summer with Lybica and Godseyes. All dates are below.
LOSS BECOMES ON TOUR:
6/29 — Albany, NY — Empire Underground
6/30 — Amityville, NY — Amityville Music Hall

ABOUT LOSS BECOMES:
Perhaps you saw him defeating Bobby Flay on his eponymous show Beat Bobby Flay. Or maybe you caught a peek of him leading the kitchen at Beauty & Essex NYC or more recently hosting his very own Williamsburg, Brooklyn sandwich shop, Mission Sandwich Social. But Chef Brian Tsao is not your typical chef. He wants to fill your ears as much as he wants to fill your belly. So with a heavy appetite for heavy music, Tsao picked up his guitar and was ready for a new adventure with some incredible musicians, including Will Gomez, a hospital radiologic technologist who earned his stripes as the former bassist of NYC bands Johnny Cage Is a Fake and Tiger Flowers. In search of a powerful voice, all roads led to Anthony Copozzi, who earned his vocal chops as lead singer of Long Island metal act Thracian.
LOSS BECOMES are a modern take on classic metalcore with hardcore tendencies. The music is unforgivingly aggressive and executed with intensity and vigor. Anthony’'s ferocious enthusiasm can be heard on every lyric, giving the band what can only be described as a full aural assault.
LOSS BECOMES recorded its first full-length at Long Island’s Westfall Recording Co. with producer Anthony Lopardo at the helm (Moon Tooth, Johnny Booth, Give Up The Goods). He has since joined the band as second guitarist. The self-titled debut was released in late 2021, garnering widespread praise and attention among its peers and fans with hard hitting anthems such as "Moments', 'Healing' and 'Demons', and resulting in LOSS BECOMES sharing stages with the likes of Alien Weaponry, Moon Tooth, Nekrogoblikon, Resistor and Dr. Acula to name a few.
Another recent addition is drummer Sean Agemen, who mastered his chops in previous acts Give Up The Goods and Sargasm. Sean's production company Washed Up Media handles video production and photoshoots for the band among other clients, and also helps produce and promote local shows, all adding to the impressive DIY ethic that LOSS BECOMES has become known for. The formidable 5-piece are ready to take the next step, with plenty of new music planned for the coming months....be on the lookout!
BLACKBRIAR - announce new album A Dark Euphony
Today BLACKBRIAR announce their new album A Dark Euphony, which will be released on September 29th via Nuclear Blast Records. A Dark Euphony features 11 brand-new tracks. Alongside the album, BLACKBRIAR also releases a brand new video for the song 'Cicada'.
Zora Cock comments:
“It's said that cicadas were once humans. When the Muses came into the world, they enchanted some people into singing, they loved singing so much, they forgot to eat and sleep and died. The Muses rewarded them by turning them into cicadas who sing continuously. In this song, I ask my muse to turn me into a cicada after I'm gone.”

About BLACKBRIAR:
“Some say that there is beauty in darkness - terrifying visitors, worlds far gone, gothic romances, bone-chilling legends, sin-eaters, burning hearts frozen in time, songs with a misleading voice, and a truthful whisper. This and so much more for you to discover on A Dark Euphony.” Such are the words of vocalist Zora Cock about the band’s upcoming sophomore album, set to release in fall 2023 on Nuclear Blast Records. A telling sign coming from a band who has reveled in gothic beauty and metallic darkness since their onset, spanning three EPs and a full-length album, along with long-time collaborator Joost van den Broek.
Formed in 2012 by Zora Cock, René Boxem, Bart Winters, and Frank Akkerman, they crafted their first single in 2014 with 'Ready to Kill,' but it was 2015’s second single 'Until Eternity' that truly propelled them into the scene. A sweeping track with an equally compelling and beautiful video, it continues to draw many to the act with over 20 million views since its debut. Taking advantage of the growing buzz surrounding the band, they independently recorded and released their first EP, Fractured Fairytales, as well as acquired a second guitarist in Robin Koezen. This EP laid down an impressive foundation for the band’s ethereal and breathtaking sound and brought about new opportunities for the act, including tour dates in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and more, where the band played alongside EPICA, HALESTORM, IN THIS MOMENT, DELAIN and MaYan.
To keep moving ahead with full control of their creative ideals, the band successfully crowdfunded their follow-up EP, We’d Rather Burn, and brought it to life in October 2018. This EP would be the first time the band worked alongside esteemed producer Joost van den Broek to arrange and produce the effort, and this fruitful collaboration allowed BLACKBRIAR’s whimsical and enigmatic sound to reach new sonic heights. Released the same day as their self-made video for 'I’d Rather Burn,' this EP showcased a stronger sense of dreamy atmosphere and brought listeners beautifully grim tales of witches, banshees, and sea sirens. In the time following, keyboardist Ruben Wijga (ex-Re-Vamp) took a larger role within the band and began playing shows, after being involved in the songwriting process since Fractured Fairytales.
A busy 2019 followed the band released a haunting single in May entitled 'Snow White and Rose Red.' A duet with Ulli Perhonen, their take on the Grimm’s fairytale featured striking cinematic visuals to accompany the spellbinding track. Continuing to dig deeper into fairytale realms, BLACKBRIAR closed the year with their third EP, Our Mortal Remains. Ever-sharpening their intoxicating blend of storytelling and breathtaking musicianship, the EP brought about new live exposures for the act as well. Small, sold-out tours with EPICA in 2019 and 2020, as well as a sold-out opening for DELAIN’s Apocalypse & Chill release show in Utrecht followed, with more future plans then being put on hold due to COVID-19.
Championing their continued independence, which included everything from songwriting, maintaining their web presence, overseeing merch, as well as shooting and producing their own videos and photos, BLACKBRIAR reached out to their ever-growing and loyal fanbase for assistance to make their full-length album a reality in 2020. Fans fervently heeded the call, reaching the € 25,000 goal in under 24 hours and ending with a total of € 70,000 and achieving all five stretch goals. An impressive accomplishment for an independent act, which also showcases a strong internet presence with over 230,000 YouTube subscribers and 56.5 million channel views as well as 37.9 million Spotify streams and 275,000 monthly streamers on the platform.
Entering 2021, the band relinquished a bit of control in signing exclusively with Doomstar Bookings to help properly support their highly anticipated first full-length album, The Cause of Shipwreck, which was released in April. Once again recorded with renowned producer Joost van den Broek (EPICA, AYREON, POWERWOLF) at Sandlane Recording Facilities, this release showcased the band’s continued evolution into masterfully dark gothic storytelling and theatrical aesthetics that entice you into a deadly yet spellbinding musical paradise. On the live front, launching into success with six sold-out Dutch club shows, they later extended into more European territories such as Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France, and the Czech Republic as the band moved into 2022.
Despite a very successful 2021, the band still hungered for more, unleashing their latest single, 'Fairy of the Bog' in December. A song about ‘het meisje van Yde’ (Yde girl), it’s a mixture of folklore, myth, and ancient local history wrapped into a more mystical and magical package that showcases what BLACKBRIAR does best. Due to winning ‘Drents Talent Award Culture 2021’ from ‘Stichting Kunst & Cultuur,’ BLACKBRIAR performed ‘I’d Rather Burn’ live on television together with the Dutch ‘Noordpool Orchestra in early 2022. In April, the band parted ways with founding member and bassist Frank Akkerman. Not a band to slow down, they welcomed Siebe Sol Sijpkens from The Netherlands as their new bassist. A happy and energetic performer with a lifetime of global performances, he is a welcome addition to the act as they continue to strive forward.
With their vision looking firmly into the future, with a major label behind them, they set their sights on 2023 to conjure their most deadly siren song yet. The band previously released the song 'Crimson Faces' to celebrate their partnership with Nuclear Blast Records, and now the world eagerly awaits the release of A Dark Euphony this fall. Set to contain 10 new original songs as well as a bonus track, they recently released their first single from it with 'My Soul’s Demise.' According to Zora, “We've had the pleasure of working with producer and musical genius Joost van den Broek, and we gave it our all to write this record and feel that this is our most complete, personal, and mature album to date.” With this in mind, the band launched a preorder campaign in April for the release, full of unique perks, which has been quite successful already. They have also been preparing on the road, with festival shows Wave Gotik Treffen, SummerBreeze, and Rock the Lakes in 2023, as well as being a special guest on CHARLOTTE WESSELS’s Club Tour.
With accolades behind them, such as being nominated three times for ‘Best Artist’ in EuroSonic/Noorderslag‘s Popgala Noord (2018, 2020, 2022), and continued fan support with current monthly streaming totals on YouTube and Spotify nearly 1.5 million streams, the world is primed and ready for a spectacular journey into darkness and beauty.

Kvelertak Share "Skoggangr" Video — WATCH
NEW ALBUM ENDLING OUT SEPTEMBER 8 VIA RISE RECORDS/PETROLEUM RECORDS
Your favorite punked-up, black metal-adjacent, classic rock-worshipping Norwegian group KVELERTAK are back! Their new album Endling arrives on September 8 via Rise Records/Petroleum Records. Pre-order it here.
Today, the band has shared the lyric video for "Skoggnagr." Watch it below.
"'Skoggangr' was the first song we wrote for Endling. It's a song about Helmut Von Botnlaus, whose life history and written records have inspired many of the lyrics on the album," the band explains. "It all takes place in the heathlands and mountain area of the south-west coast of Norway, where Helmut was born. This is where he spent most of his secluded life, living off what the earth can provide him with while fighting anyone trying to destroy the surrounding nature. Wind
turbine and real estate developers, look out!"
"From Lindtjørnsknuten I keep watch, looking towards Bjerkreim where the war is lost. String my bow, sacrifice a tick, stomping to the beat of an old slått." —Helmut
Thematically, the album continues on the path of 2020's critically acclaimed Splid — which received press accolades from Stereogum, MetalSucks, Kerrang!, Revolver, Invisible Oranges, Blabbermouth, Guitar World, and more — by delving further into local lore and legend, though guitarist Vidar Landa summed it up best. "On Endling, we tell the stories of the extinct and dying men and women of Norway. Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life — the folklore that doesn't fit a TV series concept. Vikings and trolls are for television. This is the real deal."
"As the sun fell, at the time when oxen are unyoked, following the trail cut by the footsteps of Rasmus Vardal, the marauders of rock came riding again, screaming Kielland is dead, long live Kielland!," exclaims the band.

ALKALOID Return with Mind-Boggling First Single
ALKALOID are mad scientists. With each album, the extreme metal concocters have poked and prodded at mysterious phenomena both of this world and far beyond. They've written a song about what lies beneath the Antarctic crust, as well as an ongoing saga about a galactic civilization that ascends to a god-like-level of domination.
Now, after five years, Alkaloid are back with their third full-length and it's got some of their most intricate, thought-provoking and batshit insane ideas yet. Numen is a 70-minute monolith of an album that doesn't just colonize interstellar space with sentient fungi and cephalopods. No; it grabs the fabric of the universe and ties it into knots to break time and space themselves. The Bavarian band plays around with all kinds of genre experiments, effortlessly flipping death metal on its horned head with seductive flurries of jazz, flamenco, rock and gospel choirs.
But Alkaloid are still bonded together by their love of extreme metal. After all, they are a supergroup made up of long-serving members of Obscura, Dark Fortress, Triptykon and other genre heavyweights. "Clusterfuck" might have a clean and catchy chorus, but even the fiery, finger-tapped solo that squiggles loose around the four-minute mark is crushed like an ant between colliding moons.
Here's what the band has to say about their new single: "It's one of our shorter and more moderate tracks - maybe uncharacteristically so, once you see the whole album. But "Clusterfuck" still covers the classic Alkaloid spectrum between groove, hooks, brutality and complexity. The lyrics address the question of why we as a species should aspire to greatness at all, when we know that in all probability, we're going to fail anyway".
'Numen' will be released on September 15, 2023 by Season of Mist. Pre-save the album HERE. Pre-order it HERE.
Progressive extreme metallers Alkaloid prepare to unfurl their new many-tentacled full-length, 'Numen' via Season of Mist. Featuring members of Triptykon, Obscura, Dark Fortress, and Obsidious, the Germany-based quartet of Morean (vocals, guitars, concepts), Hannes Grossmann (drums), Christian Münzner (guitars), and Linus Klausenitzer (bass) construct upon, expand away from, and journey between previous full-lengths The Malkuth Grimoire (2015) and Liquid Anatomy (2018) on Numen. In every respect, Alkaloid recommence the purposeful warp of various metallic genres they dimensionally blur. Tracks like the video single for "Clusterfuck,” “The Cambrian Explosion,” and “Numen” posit heavy cosmological/Lovecraftian theoretic themes on top of musically-adept songs that are accessible yet undeniably intricate.
“We’ve all been around the block a few times by now as metal musicians,” says songsmith Morean. “The feeling that we’ve outgrown the narrow niche of pure extreme metal was a main motivator to start this band in the first place, ten years ago. The ‘prog’ tag is handy for us because, per definition, it already encompasses a wider range of possible styles and influences we can get away with than any one specific metal genre. This means we could ensure from the beginning that we’ll always be able to write whatever we want, no matter how crazy our ideas become. The heart of this band is always the songwriting, and we all like complex and virtuosic music in all its diverse manifestations. However, we do share a love for death metal as the smallest common denominator in the band, and we wanted to make sure no one thinks that just because we include melodies, clean guitars, and influences from other genres, we’d automatically sacrifice the brutality and relentless esthetic of extreme metal.”
'Numen' was written during the pandemic, but it was planned long before the scourge of disease wracked humanity. As a result, the songwriting sessions were predictably not "in the room" but over the Internet after the band members had isolated and worked on their constituent parts. Demos flew back and forth. Then, Tunker left amicably for personal reasons. Alkaloid could’ve folded, but the close-knit group soldiered on. They intensely relied on the professionalism and dependability of the collective to drive 'Numen' to completion. The complications of the two years it took to sonically inscribe the album into aeonic vastness didn’t fragment the end result. Instead, the process accelerated Alkaloid’s lambent, eldritch explorations. “Clusterfuck,” “The Cambrian Explosion,” “Numen,” and “A Fool’s Desire” expertly bridge the past to the future, where Alkaloid’s originative, daedal storytelling captures (and holds hostage) the imagination.
The title, 'Numen', got its start at the dawning of Alkaloid. It’s a word that Morean fell in love with immediately, and he knew it had a place in his creative endeavors. Whereas The Malkuth Grimoire talked about combining existing elements into new structures, and Liquid Anatomy dealt with the creation of new elements, 'Numen' tries to look at the universe from a kind of meta-perspective from an imaginary god, as if the space that everything happens in was given a voice and a role as observer and shaper of everything that happens. In it, sentient panspermic mycelia are swathed in Lovecraftian nastiness—like Shub-Niggurath and the Fungi from Yuggoth—while the new Dyson chapters interpret the aspiration to reach divinity rather literally, reshaping the entire galaxy by manipulating spacetime itself. Desperate to escape their doom, the Cephalopods from previous songs have returned, too. 'Numen' is dense but not impenetrable. In fact, from the first moments of opener, "Qliphosis," to the final contemplation of closer "Alpha Aur,” Alkaloid prove to be more charismatic than ever.

In a statement about "Prismatic Tomb", the band share,
"We really wanted to show growth and add dynamics to our writing with Prismatic Tomb. The song showcases the aggressive in-your face sound we are known for, but we also wanted to add depth to the release with this track. We don't usually write songs in this “style”, especially lyrically, but we are very proud of the song and cannot wait for everyone to hear."
Crown Magnetar are one of the most brutal and technical bands in the deathcore scene today. With a unique combination of tech, core and death elements, as with their previous releases, Crown Magnetar fans can expect a relentlessly heavy and technically mind-blowing album with 'Everything Bleeds'. The band have truly set the stage for the release of 'Everything Bleeds' with today's release and previous singles "The Level Beneath" and album title track, "Everything Bleeds", the band have truly set the stage for what is set to be one of *the* extreme releases of 2023, with 'Everything Bleeds' promising to be even more vicious and carnal than anything that has come before. Speaking on the upcoming album, the band share
"Everything Bleeds is easily our best work. We put everything we had into this release. 10 hate filled, punching you in the face tech deathcore tracks. We dove deep into making the album more dynamic but still keeping our signature sound. This record has more of everything we’re known for and then some."
