LungBurner - Dogma - Out Now!

Atlanta, Georgia heavy music collective LUNGBURNER will release their third full length album Dogma on April 17, 2026 through Terminus Hate City Records. Written throughout 2025 and recorded, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered entirely by the band, Dogma captures LUNGBURNER expanding their sonic identity while deepening the conceptual and emotional scope of their music. Across seven tracks and just over forty minutes, the album blends southern sludge weight with progressive composition, atmospheric electronics, and evolving melodic structures.

Conceptually, Dogma explores the psychological and spiritual consequences of entrenched belief systems. Drawing from mythology, philosophy, and personal reflection, the album examines how inherited ideas about religion, culture, and identity shape human behavior and perception. Each composition approaches the subject from a different perspective, forming a continuous narrative that moves through awakening, rebellion, struggle, and eventual balance.

The album opens with "Adamu", which begins with tribal percussion samples and a call to the fallen angel Lucifer before unfolding into a driving riff anchored by deep bass and aggressive vocal delivery. The title references the Babylonian concept of the first man and frames the song’s exploration of humanity’s emergence into self awareness and the uneasy realization of one’s place within larger systems of belief and structure.

"Rapture" follows with rapid guitar work and heavy rhythmic intensity, incorporating elements of modern metal alongside the band’s established low tuned foundation. The song shifts between melodic passages and driving grooves while examining the moment of personal realization that accompanies a rejection of inherited truths.

"The Sin of Defiance" introduces a more melodic opening before transitioning between hypnotic bass movement and heavy guitar passages. The lyrics draw from experiences of discipline, hierarchy, and survival, reflecting on the tension between obedience and individuality within systems that demand absolute loyalty.

"(Bhajan) The Fall" marks a turning point in the album’s atmosphere. Beginning with the interlude "Bhajan", a piece originally conceived many years earlier, the track introduces synthesizers as a prominent element and slows the pace into a meditative and weighty progression. The composition explores the disorientation that can accompany self realization, where clarity and fear coexist.

"Apostasy" begins with a spoken sample from philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti addressing the dangers of institutionalized belief. The track channels tightly controlled aggression and rhythmic precision while expanding on the album’s central theme of breaking from inherited doctrine in pursuit of personal truth.

"Misery" continues the album’s exploration of inner conflict with one of its heaviest sonic moments. Featuring guitars tuned to an extremely low register and layered with samples and synthesizer textures, the song reflects on the necessity of confronting illusion and acknowledging reality without compromise.

The album closes with the nine minute composition "Pistus Sophia", which unfolds gradually through evolving melodic passages and ritualistic atmosphere. The title references Sophia from Gnostic tradition, a figure representing wisdom and the balance of spiritual forces. The introduction features a spoken prayer to Lilith performed in Polish by Aleksandra Anderberg, whose visual artwork also provides the cover for Dogma. The track concludes the album by reflecting on the dual nature of spiritual experience and the search for equilibrium between opposing forces.

With its combination of crushing downtuned guitars, atmospheric electronics, and layered thematic content, Dogma presents LUNGBURNER’s most focused and expansive work to date. The album stands as a meditation on belief, individuality, and the human struggle to define truth within systems that often demand unquestioning faith.

The Artery Foundation Signs Srata, Band Drops "SOAR"

THE ARTERY FOUNDATION is thrilled to welcome California's gold-selling rock band STRATA to the roster. The band, which had a massive hit with "Piece by Piece," which earned its RIAA certification after being featured on the 2004 The Punisher soundtrack and an appearance on Madden NFL 2005. In the '00s, Strata built a devoted following on soaring melodies, cinematic heaviness, and emotionally unfiltered songwriting, a sound that blurred the lines between post-hardcore intensity and atmospheric modern rock long before genre boundaries began dissolving across the scene.

Today, the band shares its first single for the label with "SOAR." The track, which was produced by Eric Ron (Papa Roach, Bad Omens), does exactly that, thanks to rising and falling tension and angular guitar work. Listen below.

This isn't a nostalgia play. It's forward progress at its finest.

"'Soar' captures the collapse of someone who once felt untouchable, tracing that fall from clarity and confidence into doubt, temptation, and self-betrayal," says singer Eric Victorino. "It's a dark spiral where faith glitches, identity fractures, and the pull of the algorithm becomes impossible to ignore. Equal parts confession and confrontation, the song wrestles with the most human truth of all: sometimes the person you trust the least is yourself."

Expect more from Strata sooner rather than later!

Fronted by vocalist Eric Victorino, whose unmistakable voice moves effortlessly from fragile intimacy to explosive power, Strata carved out a reputation for music that feels both deeply personal and undeniably massive. Now, decades into their career, Strata aren't revisiting who they were; they're redefining who they are. The band has re-emerged sharper and more focused, channeling years of life experience into a sound that is stronger, faster, heavier, and more energetic than ever.

Rather than chasing trends, Strata has leaned into evolution, expanding their sonic palette while staying rooted in the emotional authenticity that first defined them. The result is a band operating at full power: seasoned musicians with nothing to prove and everything to say.

Strata isn't a reunion story. It’s a continuation. Louder, bolder, and very much alive.

Adam Ezra Group -Pocket Full of Seashells — Out Today

Over the last months I’ve been playing this song out...solo in the middle of our sets - and I've heard you singing it back to me. Softly, sweetly…and usually with less lyric mistakes. :)

It hadn't even been released, and you already know it…yet another reason I am so grateful for the path I’ve chosen.

It’s officially in the world today. As personal as it gets for me - about being out there missing my girls and choosing every single day to believe in this journey I'm on. I know most of you know it live…can’t wait for you to hear the raw recording from the studio. ♥️ 🐚👧 👶

Swedish Thrashers BLOODSTAIN Unleash New Single "Something Sinister" via Threeman Recordings / Sound Pollution

Today, BLOODSTAIN release their new single “Something Sinister” via Threeman Recordings / Sound Pollution. The track marks the band’s second release of the year and plays a key role in building momentum toward their debut album, set for release this fall.

With “Something Sinister,” BLOODSTAIN further sharpens their musical identity. The song is driven by a strong, cohesive riff structure, a well-defined dynamic progression, and a sound that fuses classic hard rock roots with a modern production suited for both streaming platforms and the live stage.

What distinguishes BLOODSTAIN in today’s expanding hard rock scene is their precision and instinct for songwriting dynamics. “Something Sinister” highlights the band’s ability to craft compelling hooks and sustain energy throughout, resulting in a track that resonates equally well in curated playlists and larger live settings, a balance many aim for, but few execute effectively.

The single also reinforces the band’s sonic direction, featuring a production that is powerful without excess, and aggressive while remaining accessible. Each element is carefully considered to strengthen their identity, making this release a strategically important step ahead of their upcoming album. It demonstrates not only consistency but also a clear sense of progression in their sound.

Alex Hellid (Entombed) comments:

“I am incredibly proud of what these guys have achieved so far, and being able to follow their development up close is truly fantastic. The sky is the limit! BLOODSTAIN is one of the most outstanding young hard rock bands right now — Sweden’s next major hard rock export!"

Stream / Listen to "Something Sinister" HERE

BLOODSTAIN formed in late 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden, and quickly became one of Sweden’s most talked-about new metal bands. Built on classic metal and thrash foundations—and sharpened by relentless rehearsal and stage time—BLOODSTAIN delivers fast, heavy songs with hooks, precision, and a youthful intensity that translates instantly live.

After a breakout year with the self-released debut EP 'I Am Death,' the band’s live momentum accelerated rapidly. In 2024, BLOODSTAIN’s Stockholm show at Debaser caught the attention of Alex Hellid (Entombed), leading to a long-term management and production partnership with Threeman Recordings.

2025 became the band’s “proof year”: festival appearances, headline-level crowd reactions, and high-profile support shows—most notably on tour supporting Dark Tranquillity (with Iceland’s Múr). BLOODSTAIN also continued building an audience that actually buys physical releases and merch—an increasingly rare advantage for a new band.

BLOODSTAIN are:

Oskar Lindroos - Guitar/Vocals

Tobias Lindström - Guitar/Backing Vocals

Jonathan Thyberg - Bass/Backing Vocals

Benjam Norgren - Drums/Backing Vocals

Crippled Black Phoenix Premiere New Album Sceaduhelm

More than 20 years removed from where they started, Crippled Black Phoenix are approaching a new threshold with their upcoming new album. Sceaduhelm is the UK macabre rockers’ most inward-looking and grave statement to date. It turns away from collective upheaval to face emotional erosion, fatigue and private collapse.

Sceaduhelm comes out tomorrow, Friday, April 17 on Season of Mist, but you can hear all 12 stark and striking songs today by listening to the full album stream below:

Where previous Crippled Black Phoenix records addressed historical violence and societal fracture, Sceaduhelm moves inward, listening to what accumulates in the aftermath: grief, complicity, damaged intimacy and the weight of endurance. The album unfolds as a unified psychological space rather than a traditional concept record, with slow builds, minimalist repetition, and unresolved tension carrying as much weight as melody. While stemming from founding member Justin Greaves (ex-Electric Wizard, ex-Iron Monkey), vocals are shared between Belinda Kordic (Killing Mood, Stabb), Ryan Patterson (Fotocrime, Coliseum, Mirrorless) and Justin Storms (Wailin Storms), each occupying a distinct but aligned emotional register across the album's twelve tracks.

Lyrically and thematically, Sceaduhelm is preoccupied with exhaustion as a condition rather than a moment, with time framed not as a healer but as an eroding force. Songs address burnout, grief, surveillance, institutional violence, and damaged intimacy, often blurring the line between the personal and the political. Musically, the album favours restraint over release, employing repetition, minimalism, and slow escalation to sustain tension without catharsis. Recorded across multiple locations and mixed with deliberate austerity, the record resists warmth, clarity serving discomfort rather than solace.

Within Crippled Black Phoenix’s wider catalogue, Sceaduhelm does not seek to resolve previous narratives or replicate past high points. Instead, it documents a moment of exposure and endurance, listening closely to what remains when spectacle fades and outrage exhausts itself. It stands as a severe, human record, concerned less with declaration than with persistence, and affirms once more the band’s refusal to stand still, soften its gaze, or offer easy answers.

SERPENT LORD Emerges with New Album, Debuts First Single via Bandcamp

Solo pagan black metal project SERPENT LORD will be releasing its debut album, 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' on May 29, 2026 via Eisenwald Records. The project has debuted the haunting first single, "Aries Ram," can now be streamed below.

SERPENT LORD first slithered into existence in 2003, emerging as a solitary pagan black metal vessel forged by Jake Superchi (UADA, Ceremonial Castings). Though the project's first true album was recorded in 2005, the work was abruptly shelved and lay dormant for twenty years. Now, in the Year of the Snake, the ancient offering has been reborn and reimagined as 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' preserving every note of its primordial conception.

The album was re-recorded in the cold heart of the Pacific Northwest between 2022 and 2025, engineered and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk. The release features new artwork and the original logo created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste.

Pre-orders are now live via the Obsidian Spells Shop (North America), Eisenwald (EU/UK), and Bandcamp (Worldwide).

The artwork was created by Kris Verwimp and can be found below

Originally formed over two decades ago, SERPENT LORD existed largely in the shadows, issuing only a handful of demos before entering an extended period of dormancy. Yet, the creative force behind the project never faded. Ideas, fragments, and compositions endured across the years, shelved for the right moment, only fully taking shape and being realized in the Year of the Snake, when the vision was finally forged into its definitive form.

Early demo material already hinted at what SERPENT LORD would become: a severe balance between melodic grandeur and unrestrained aggression, with transitions between atmosphere and brutality, produced to enhance rather than obscure its intensity.

Founded by Jake Superchi (known for its creative force in UADA and CEREMONIAL CASTINGS), SERPENT LORD channels the spirit of ’90s pagan black metal. The album stands as a triumphant and immersive work - melodic, fierce, and steeped in ritualistic energy. Expansive riffing, evocative passages, and a dynamic interplay between harsh and atmospheric elements, both timeless and fully awakened.

The album was recorded and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk, achieving a sound that retains raw edge while delivering clarity and depth. The cover artwork, created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste, further underscoring the album’s mythical and arcane atmosphere.

With 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' SERPENT LORD emerges from decades of silence with a work that fulfills the promise of its early recordings; it's an album shaped by time, and driven by an uncompromising vision of black metal.

Beyond Creation Announce 15th Anniversary Reissue of The Aura

From the beginning, it was clear that Beyond Creation possessed a special aura. Back in 2011, the Montréal four-piece quickly proved they were the next progressive evolution in technical death metal with their very first album. Now, fifteen years later, the genre still basks in the enduring glow of The Aura.

“Laden with atmosphere, The Aura stands out from the crowded 2011 tech/death scene thanks to the prominent use of fretless bass, varying drum patterns, and experimentation with tempo”, wrote Metal Injection in a recent retrospective. “Combine that with a variety of searing vocal styles and classically-influenced, lightening-fast sweeps, The Aura is a decadent joy to the mechanically and sonically minded”.

As the Independence Music Award winners and Canadian Grammy nominees prepare to perform their landmark debut in full for the very first time on their upcoming Latin American tour, today, Beyond Creation are announcing a special anniversary reissue of The Aura. The new limited-edition colored vinyl variant is cut at 45 RPM for superior sound quality. It comes with a double-sided full color poster and an embroidered patch.

“Fifteen years ago, The Aura marked the beginning of our sonic journey”, Beyond Creation lead vocalist and guitarist Simon Girard reflects. “Our celebration of its 15th anniversary officially begins with this special limited-edition reissue. Join us in the celebration during our upcoming tour of Latin America with our special guests Fallujah, where we will perform the album in its entirety for the first time ever, as well as our new single ‘Reverence’”.

The special 15th anniversary edition of The Aura comes out July 17, 2026 on Season of Mist.

The Aura immediately stood out as a shining achievement for technical death metal. With microscopic precision, the band spliced together classic brutality and prog’s unbending curiosity with an unforeseen tact for melody. “Coexistence” opened eyes far and wide to a new realm of possibilities, where headbanging riffs don't collide but resolve amidst an extended instrumental passage that glistens like the cosmos. After more than 6 million views on YouTube, “Omnipresent Perception” is still blowing people’s minds. Its fretless bass solo, while impossible to follow, leads along the path to enlightenment.

“Are we the chosen ones?”, Girard wonders during “The Deported”, the album's epic 11-minute closer. He’s questioning humanity's own presumed superiority, but when it comes to Beyond Creation and the universe of progressive technical death metal, the answer is still a resounding “yes”.

In 2026, Beyond Creation released “Reverence”, their first single in eight years, ahead of the 15th anniversary of The Aura. To celebrate 15 years since the release of their landmark debut, the band announced a special limited-edition reissue of the album through Season of Mist. They will perform the album in full for the first-time ever during their 2026 Latin American Tour with special guests Fallujah.

Enter Shikari Surprise Release New Album 'LOSE YOUR SELF' via SO Recordings

With zero announcements or teasers from the band, Enter Shikari have a surprise release, their brand new album! Lose Your Self (released via So Recordings) spans 12 tracks exploring themes of desolation, futility and complete despair at the state of the world, but with glimmers of hopefulness and optimism threaded throughout. Whilst the likes of major pop stars including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber who have famously released albums out of the blue over the years, Enter Shikari have managed to not only release Lose Your Self digitally, but also physically, unlike their predecessors. As of right now (12am BST on Friday, April 10th), this accomplished and ingenious body of work is available to stream and also buy in CD and vinyl format worldwide. Listen Below.

Frontman Rou Reynolds articulates,

"We’re delighted to present LOSE YOUR SELF, and give people the chance to hear a Shikari record like never before - as a cohesive whole. We want people to go on a proper journey with this album, and see where it takes them.

No lead up, no singles, and no explanation. Forcing the listener to actually listen, without being drip-fed ideas out of context, or spoon-fed explanations. We simply present it all, for the listener to immerse themself in.

Releasing in this way was also a decision to not be distracted by chart races, or accolades and “things”.

We got the No.1 album on our last record. This is simply about the music being presented in a natural way.

Despite turning out to be one our darkest and heaviest albums to date, it also preaches hope and offers answers.

Shikari will always offer hope, because without hope there is no action. We’ll just always offer it with a dose of realism.”

Earlier this year, Enter Shikari announced a UK and EU headline arena tour for November, their biggest yet, a headline run in Australia in May, and two headline runs in North America - the first hitting the East Coast in June, where they will be joined by Boston Manor and Initiate as support, the second hitting the West Coast in September and October with Initiate and main support TBA.

The EU dates kick off on 3rd November at the Sporthalle in Hamburg, and include the band’s biggest ever German headline show, at Düsseldorf’s Mitsubishi Halle, boasting a capacity of 7500! The band will then begin the UK leg of the tour in Nottingham at the Motorpoint Arena on 13th November. Gigs in cities including Cardiff, Hull, Glasgow and Manchester will follow, before ending with not one but two shows at London’s Alexandra Palace on 20th and 21st November! All dates, information and tickets for all live dates can be found here.

Every ticket sold for the band’s UK arena tour dates will include a £1 donation to the Music Venue Trust, supporting grassroots music venues under threat of closure in the UK. Enter Shikari were the first artist to implement the scheme which is one very close to their hearts, with ticket sales from their 2024 arena tour carrying the donation, paving the way for the likes of Sam Fender and Coldplay to follow suit with their own generous donations.

The highly-anticipated November tour is the band’s first arena tour since their A Kiss For The Whole World tour in 2024, celebrating their album of the same name landing them their first ever UK No.1 album in the Official Charts, where they had previously scored 6 Top 10 albums! The 2024 tour included their raucous debut Wembley Arena show. The four-piece last year released Live At Wembley, the triumphant live show recorded in full available on streaming services, and on a limited run of vinyl available at only four record stores worldwide. You can also watch the full show here, which features footage from the first FPV (first-person view) drone to be flown live at Wembley Arena!

During their remarkable and celebrated career, Enter Shikari have received several accolades in the form of gongs from NME, Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Heavy Music Awards and more. They have played a whopping 3000+ live shows around the world including three headline arena tours in the UK, supported the likes of The Prodigy and Linkin Park and played festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Download and Slam Dunk where they also headlined in 2023.

LOSE YOUR SELF arrives at a moment when Enter Shikari's trajectory has never been steeper. Their seventh record, A Kiss For The Whole World, gave them their first UK Official Albums Chart No.1 in 2023, completing a run of seven consecutive top-five debuts. The subsequent arena tour included a landmark first headline performance at London's Wembley Arena, later documented on the live album and film Live From Wembley. This November, the band embark on their biggest UK and European arena tour yet, taking in two nights at London's Alexandra Palace, Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Manchester's Co-op Live, and their first ever German headline arena show. North American headline dates are confirmed for the East Coast in June and the West Coast in September/October, along with performances at Vans Warped Tour in Washington D.C. and Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.

Renowned worldwide for spectacular, innovative live shows that blur the line between concert and communal release, Enter Shikari have built a reputation as one of the most joyously incendiary bands actively touring today. Their production-led performances, featuring arena-scale laser and lighting rigs, regularly see band members launching themselves into the centre of the crowd. Over 3,000 shows worldwide and counting, with headlining performances at major festivals including Slam Dunk, Reading and Leeds, and Download Pilot alongside three UK arena tours. There are few bands working harder or putting more of themselves into every performance they give.

Enter Shikari's North American headline tour begins June 10 in Boston. Tickets available at entershikari.com.

Chronicler Of Ardul Releases Sounds of Ardul

Sounds of Ardul is a sweeping orchestral journey into the dark fantasy realm of Ardul, composed by David Williams of CHRONICLER OF ARDUL. Instead of relying on metal elements, the album embraces cinematic storytelling through rich symphonic textures, intimate folk tunes, and atmospheric worldbuilding. Each track feels like a moment from a larger adventure, guiding listeners through taverns, shadowed forests, ancient mists, and violent clashes. With recurring motifs, emotional character themes, and evocative arrangements, Sounds of Ardul invites audiences to step directly into the world itself, experiencing its wonder, danger, and humanity firsthand.

“Watch Over Me (feat. EXILED HOPE)” opens the album as a bardic folk song carried by clean guitar, violin, hand percussion, and the expressive voice of Sofia Frasz, following a lost traveler yearning for home while navigating the perilous roads of Ardul. “Watch Over Me (Village Version)” shifts to a smaller, more comforting space, portraying the safety and simplicity found within village walls through a short instrumental loop of guitar and violin. “You’re Gone (feat. SYYN)” brings the emotional weight of loss to the forefront, with Aaron Johnson III delivering a somber tavern ballad about love, its fleeting beauty, and the devastating revelation of death that reshapes the meaning of each chorus.

The album’s world building takes a lively turn with “Oh Me Oh My,” a rowdy late-night tavern song featuring vocals by David Williams, built from stomps, claps, bottle taps, and a catchy refrain meant for drunken patrons. “Woodlands” ventures outside into the dark beauty of Ardul’s forests using strings, harp, clarinet, piano, and choir to evoke mystery and deceptive warmth. Its variations expand that setting: “Woodlands (Alternate Version)” isolates the listener with cello, piano, and harp, while “Woodlands (Battle Theme)” heightens the danger with brass, percussion, and rhythmic urgency as hidden threats reveal themselves.

“In the Mists of the Myrewood (Remastered)” returns to the foundational themes of the larger Ardul mythos. A solo piano piece born early in the project’s history, it whispers with darkness and elegance, building into the thick, treacherous fog that defines the Myrewood. “Veiled Truth” explores moral ambiguity through shifting strings, piano, choir, and guitar, reflecting the uneasy question of whether familiar faces can be trusted. “Unwelcomed Guests” continues the rising tension with timpani heartbeats, clacking percussion, unsettling strings, and a divided choir as an unwelcome figure approaches with unclear intentions.

“To Arms! (String Quintet)” marks the snapping point where conflict erupts, delivering an intimate yet fierce battle theme reminiscent of classic RPG duels. “Temporary Respite” pulls the listener back into calm with soft piano and choir, offering a resting place after turmoil. “Moments From Disaster” churns with heavy drums, tense strings, rumbling voices, and pounding piano, capturing the split second before catastrophe when every instinct screams to act.

“Underground” descends into the cold, winding depths beneath Ardul where dissonant strings, heavy drums, male drones, and brooding piano create deliberate disorientation. “Underground (Alternate Version)” tightens the space to a quieter but more claustrophobic passage lit by a single torch. “To Arms!” unleashes the full symphonic battle, a large-scale conflict with expanded orchestration and dramatic intensity.

The album’s final bard song, “Zarek the Bloody,” introduces a legendary figure whose reputation is both heroic and ominous. With accordion, bass, percussion, and vocals by David Williams, the piece hints at Zarek’s deeds, the cursed blade he wields, and his place in the greater Ardul narrative.

Sounds of Ardul also includes extended ten-minute looping versions of twelve tracks, crafted for worldbuilders, tabletop players, writers, and listeners who want to immerse themselves even further. As the third pillar of CHRONICLER OF ARDUL’s overarching project, this album expands the world’s scope while maintaining musical motifs that connect past works to future stories.

About CHRONICLER OF ARDUL:

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL is the cinematic dark fantasy project created by composer and multi-instrumentalist David Williams, blending orchestral storytelling with the atmosphere and intensity of extreme music. Formed in 2023, the project explores the mythic world of Ardul through three creative pillars: metal, orchestral composition, and written narrative. Every release expands the lore, using recurring motifs, character themes, and emotional worldbuilding to connect albums, stories, and songs into one cohesive universe. Influenced by SHADOW OF INTENT, MENTAL CRUELTY, Nobuo Uematsu, and Yasunori Nishiki, CHRONICLER OF ARDUL approaches concept music with the depth of a novel and the drama of a film score.

The project began as an idea in 2015 and has since grown into a multi-medium saga, starting with the Myrewood EP in 2023 and continuing with Sword of Virné and accompanying short stories. Williams handles all writing, recording, mixing, and artwork, giving the project a distinct voice anchored in emotional honesty and narrative purpose. Every melody is intentional and often foreshadows future events in the overarching story, creating a world that rewards close listening. CHRONICLER OF ARDUL stands as a unique fusion of fantasy, composition, and immersive storytelling, inviting listeners not only to hear the music but to live within the world it creates.

Once To Die Release New Single "Endure" via Mindful Recordings

Southern California band Once To Die released their brand new single “Endure” via Mindful Recordings. The track serves as the second song on The Conquest: Volume 1, the band’s upcoming release and the first chapter in their developing campaign.

"Endure" was formed with the idea of reminding every individual that there is a power inside us all to endure anything in life.  Tragedy and loss are inevitable but the strength inside you is the answer.

From the chaotic depths of Southern California, Once To Die was formed in the spirit of introducing powerful yet rupturing experience. Forcing an untainted memorandum that what we face in this life can be conquered against overwhelming odds.  The path of conquest we leave in our wake is yet a distinction of the hereafter.

With “Endure,” Once To Die begins the next step in their path forward, setting the tone for what’s to come on The Conquest: Volume 1—a release built on resilience, confrontation, and the relentless will to survive.

APOSTLE Announces New Single “Illusion of Loss”

APOSTLE unveils their latest single, “Illusion of Loss,” a dynamic and emotionally charged composition that offers a glimpse into the band’s forthcoming full-length album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, arriving June 5, 2026 via Terminus Hate City.

“Illusion of Loss” begins with a sharp, brief breath before an angular and moody guitar and bass melody settles over a plodding, swinging half-time drum groove. Murice White's vocal cadence moves fluidly within the arrangement, locking into the rhythm as the song unfolds. A sudden, deliberate drop in intensity introduces an arpeggiated and introspective passage driven by a rolling snare, gradually building toward a release carried by a mid-tempo blast beat.

The track expands in scope as Murice’s tremolo-picked lead cuts through with urgency while his vocals rise in intensity. Michael’s bass provides a steady melodic anchor, shaping the mood beneath shifting textures. A discordant, arpeggiated lead slices through the mix while Evan’s drumming shifts into a driving double bass pattern that pushes the song forward before returning to a reprise of its opening movement. The closing moments feature a distorted spoken sample describing barely livable conditions in a city, extending the song’s thematic reach outward.

“Illusion of Loss” reflects on the fragility of life, the isolation that can accompany grief, and the internal changes that follow. The song draws from the experience of personal loss and the emotional weight that lingers in its wake. It considers how loss reshapes identity, how it brings forward buried parts of oneself, and how memory can guide purpose moving forward. The connection between individual grief and shared human experience remains central throughout.

The album title references Carl Jung’s description of humanity as a “splinter in the infinite deity,” framing the record as an exploration of spiritual duality, grief, and self-examination. Across six tracks and 27 minutes, the band move through themes of loss, mortality, internal conflict, and eventual healing. The record serves as both a meditation on the human condition and a deeply personal tribute shaped by grief and remembrance.

Produced, engineered, and mixed by Connor Ray at Sobek Sound and mastered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon presents APOSTLE in their most refined and expansive form.

Their latest album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, represents the band’s most fully realized work to date. Drawing from existential philosophy and deeply personal experiences with grief and remembrance, the record explores humanity’s connection to something greater while acknowledging the struggle inherent in being human. Out Today From Melechesh - Sentinels of Shamash

With Sentinels of Shamash, MELECHESH enters a ceremonial descent into ancient law, fire, and cosmic vigilance. This EP does not simply revisit mythological themes. It inhabits them. Rooted in the solar authority of Shamash, god of truth and justice in Mesopotamian cosmology, the record burns with the tension between chaos and sacred order, between ruin and restoration, between mortal defiance and divine decree.

From its opening moments, Sentinels of Shamash unfolds like a sacred inscription carved into stone tablets beneath a bronze sun. The riffs arrive not as decoration but as proclamations. Rhythms move with ritual precision, evoking procession, invocation, and judgment. Each composition feels deliberate, architectural, constructed with the gravity of an ancient temple rising from desert sands. The vocals do not merely narrate. They command, intone, and summon, channeling a presence that watches from above with unwavering clarity.

The conceptual axis of the EP rests on vigilance. Shamash was not only a solar deity but the eternal witness, the eye that sees all deeds beneath daylight. In that spirit, the sentinels of the title stand as guardians of cosmic balance, positioned at the threshold where disorder threatens to consume structure. Across the EP, forgotten gods and fallen kings emerge from shadow, their legacies weighed against the scales of divine law. Fire becomes both destroyer and purifier. Judgment becomes both terror and restoration.

MELECHESH has long forged a sound that binds ancient Near Eastern mythology with extreme metal intensity, and here that fusion feels sharpened and distilled. Middle Eastern melodic inflections weave through commanding, down tuned riff architecture. The percussion carries a ritualistic cadence that feels older than the genre itself. The sonic landscape suggests wind across temple ruins, bronze weapons glinting in sunlight, and inscriptions etched in cuneiform that speak of decree and consequence. The band does not modernize myth for convenience. Instead, it allows myth to remain vast, severe, and unyielding.

What makes Sentinels of Shamash resonate is its refusal to treat antiquity as ornament. The EP positions ancient law as a living force, a reminder that civilizations rise and fall under the gaze of forces greater than themselves. In a world that often feels untethered from order, these songs confront the listener with the weight of accountability and the inevitability of reckoning. Yet within that severity lies restoration. Balance is not static but earned through trial, fire, and endurance.

Sentinels of Shamash stands as a mythological statement shaped in flame and discipline. It is a work of vigilance, a declaration that truth remains luminous even in eras of shadow. The sentinels do not sleep. The sun does not close its eye. And through relentless sonic force, MELECHESH reminds us that judgment is eternal, and order, though challenged, will rise again in fire.

MELECHESH’s influence extends beyond sound. By integrating ancient Mesopotamian history, Sumerian mythology, and occult symbolism into extreme metal, the band opened new conceptual territory within the genre. Their work has been cited as a catalyst for broader acceptance of culturally rooted themes in metal, inspiring artists worldwide to explore their own heritage through heavy music. Critics and peers consistently acknowledge the band’s originality, discipline, and longevity.

In recent years, MELECHESH has continued to operate with creative independence and a global perspective. The Sentinels of Shamash era reflects a renewed focus on intensity and atmosphere, capturing the band’s enduring fire and refined songwriting approach. Their current performances draw from the full depth of their catalog, presenting both classic material and newer compositions with equal force.

As of 2026, MELECHESH remains a powerful and evolving entity within extreme metal. With over thirty years of artistic dedication, the band continues to embody a borderless spirit and a commitment to innovation. Their music stands as a bridge between ancient civilizations and contemporary extremity, forged through discipline, vision, and unwavering creative resolve.

UADA Streams New Acoustic Album 'Interwoven' Ahead of Physical Release, Kicks Off North American Tour

As promised, enigmatic black metal horde UADA is now streaming its new acoustic album 'Interwoven' in its entirety below!

While the original April 10 release date is still being honored digitally, the physical copies will not be shipped until late May due to delays at the manufacturing plant. The album represents an acoustic journey tracing one song from each chapter of UADA's discography as well as various covers from the bands who've inspired them. 'Interwoven' will be released via Eisenwald and physical copies can be pre-ordered HERE.

In addition, UADA is now hitting the road! The band has joined forces with industrial metal artist MORTIIS for a very special co-headliner, featuring exclusive anniversary sets and supporting performances by Jerome Reuter’s ROME and WRAITH KNIGHT. UADA will be performing their seminal 2016 debut album 'Devoid of Light' in its entirety + a special CERMONIAL CASTINGS 30-year anniversary set featuring Wraith Knight. In addition, MORTIIS shall be performing songs from his groundbreaking 2001 full-length, 'The Smell Of Rain,' along with other volumes of dystopian despair. The tour kicks off tonight, April 10, in UADA's hometown of Portland, OR. The full itinerary can be found below while tickets are now available HERE.

UADA is also celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their debut album, 'Devoid of Light,' with a special reissue! Originally released in 2016, 'Devoid of Light' remains a remarkably focused debut - just five tracks, a little over thirty minutes - and yet a fully formed statement. The 'Devoid of Light (10th Anniversary Edition)' returns in an expanded form. Remastered by Arthur Rizk, who previously handled mixing and mastering for UADA's sophomore album 'Cult of a Dying Sun' and mastering for the acoustic album 'Interwoven,' the material gains depth without losing the character of the original recordings. This edition also includes previously unseen photography by Peter Beste, alongside rare archival material, expanded liner notes, and an exclusive bonus track. It will be released on July 17, 2026 via Eisenwald in CD format and 3 vinyl color variations; it is now available for pre-orders HERE.

Moreover, after much demand from fans, UADA will be returning to Milwaukee Metal Fest for the second time since leaving their mark during the 2024 edition. The festival will take place at The Rave/Eagle's Club from June 4 - 7, with UADA performing on the 7th. More info and tickets can be found HERE.

New Southwest Contender in Alternative Rock, LES PALMS Releases Debut Single ‘Second Chance’

New Southwest contender in alternative rock, LES PALMS, releases debut single “Second Chance”. This track is a refreshing take on late 90s/early 2000s indie rock with a pop-punk punch. The lyrics preach a relatable human element, how in even the worst situations everyone deserves a second chance. The single was produced in Las Vegas, NV under Chris Collier

The group’s founder and guitarist Sean Fitz is the bassist for the RIAA Gold Certified American

hard rock band OTHERWISE. Seth Laurent(frontman) and Volkan Tonga (bass) are both

founding members of the high-energy Las Vegas band theguiltyparty. The trio met through

shows with each other's respective bands and bonded over writing music.

Sean Fitz on the single:

“‘Second Chance’ was originally written for my solo project, but once I heard Seth’s version of

the song, I knew we had something I wanted to run with. Flash forward four months, and Les

Palms is more than just an idea.”

Seth Laurent behind the lyrics of

“Second Chance”:

“‘Second Chance’ is very personal to me. Not being adequate enough for someone due to a

drinking problem is not a fictional tale in my life.”

Seth Laurent on recording with Chris Collier:

“Working with Chris Collier was one of the best experiences I’ve had making music. He let me

work through as many takes necessary, giving the track performance room to shine. “

The track will be available everywhere from Apple Music to Spotify, and even your local Touch Tunes on April 10, 2026. You can find more information on the band at their website lespalms.com

ATREYU Unleashes New Single "Children Of Light" Featuring Max Cavalera + Visualizer

Today, while gearing up for their spring tour supporting Sevendust, ATREYU are excited to unleash their new single, "Children Of Light," featuring the legendary Max Cavalera. The new track is taken from ATREYU's upcoming album, 'The End is Not the End,' set for release on April 24, 2026 via Spinefarm.

On the new single, ATREYU comments:

"'Children of Light' was created with a primal spirit in mind. A 'festival' song. Heavily inspired by classic Sepultura, though it seemed like an untouchable ask, we wanted Max involved. We’re honored to share this song with a legend."

Watch the Visualizer for "Children Of Light" Below:

‘The End is Not the End' is undeniably ATREYU’s heaviest album ever and their most adventurous. “We realized what made ATREYU great in the beginning was that we didn’t sound like anyone else,” frontman Brandon Saller explains. “We didn’t really make sense anywhere. We weren’t an emo band, a metal band, a punk band — but somehow it all worked. We kind of just carved our own path.”

Guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist Porter McKnight, drummer Kyle Rosa, and Saller created several of 'The End is Not the End'’s songs on creative trips.

“Tokyo made us feel like kids again,” Saller says. “We’d write for a few hours in the morning, then go out and get lost in all this inspiration. The first song we finished was ‘Dead,’ and we knew we were onto something.”

After the Japanese sessions, the band and their producer decamped to San Juan Island off the coast of Washington, where isolation became a creative accelerant. “It was the polar opposite of Tokyo. We didn’t leave the house for four days and wrote some of the heaviest songs on the record.”

The result is an album that feels simultaneously classic and unfamiliar, aggressive and unselfconscious, deeply emotional and unconcerned with trends. Produced by Matt Pauling, ATREYU’s tenth album is vibrant, inventive, and beautifully aggressive.

“It’s our heaviest, most metal record we’ve made,” Saller points out. “But it’s also the biggest musical journey we’ve taken in years.”

The album moves seamlessly from soaring melodic heft to muscular metallic weight, with cinematic shades and atmosphere, all tied together by a driving, raw intensity. Tracks like “Dead,” “Ghost in Me,” “Children of Light (featuring Max Cavalera),” and “Afterglow”sound both timely and timeless.

Yellowcard Recharge Their Hit Single "Bedroom Posters" With New Version Feat. Blippi

Continuing what has become the most unexpected and awesome collaboration of 2026, multi-platinum pop-punk royalty Yellowcard have joined forces with global children's education sensation Blippi to recharge and revamp their buzzing hit "Bedroom Posters" with a brand new duet version, out now via Better Noise. It's Yellowcard and Blippi's second track together, following "Go Go Go," and third recording of "Bedroom Posters."

Listen to "Bedroom Posters" (Feat. Blippi) here and watch the video below

This iteration of the track maintains the energy of the original, yet Blippi brings his own magic to the party. He has retrofitted the tune with a fresh and family-friendly perspective, flipping lyrics like "Tear down my bedroom posters" to "Look at my bedroom posters" and soaring with the band on a sky-high chant of "Airplanes and rollercoasters." Together, they also excitedly continue the "Year of Vehicles," extending the celebration of the vehicles kids dig the most — from race cars and monster trucks to excavators and everything in between.

It's the ultimate pop-punk anthem for the kids and mom and dad!

About the track, Yellowcard's Ryan Key said, "My favorite part about this process was handing over an instrumental version of 'Bedroom Posters' to the Blippi team and letting them completely re-write the lyrics. I had the idea that this feature could be perfect because of the concept of posters on kids' walls. I think they nailed it and this is hopefully going to inspire a generation of new little rockers!

Regarding the accompanying video, he states, "It was so fun to make. I think it pushed us all out of our comfort zones a little, and at this stage of our career, that usually leads to an amazing outcome. For me, as a first-time dad of a 2-year-old who is already showing signs of being very musical, I think this is going to be a really special way for him to connect with my music and see me doing what I love. I hope that energy is what other parents find when they are watching and listening to this with their kids."

Blippi said, "Music is one of my favorite ways to play and collaborate, so teaming up with my friends in Yellowcard was a blast! We turned 'Bedroom Posters' into a version that kids and families can sing, dance, and laugh along with. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!"

As mentioned, "Bedroom Posters" follows hot on the heels of Yellowcard's appearance on Blippi's "Go Go Go." The collab caught the attention of Billboard, praising how the track "introduces pop-punk to a new generation just in time for Yellowcard's comeback."

Yellowcard's "Bedroom Posters" has quietly emerged as a staple with millions of streams and views as well being the current radio single featuring Good Charlotte; it's landed at No. 5 on the Alternative Radio Charts. Beyond looks from Alternative Press Magazine, Rock Sound, and more, Consequence applauded how "the song finds Yellowcard singer Ryan Key trading vocals with Good Charlotte’sJoel Madden," while Rolling Stone put it best, "It’s the collaboration made in pop-punk dreams."

Meanwhile, Yellowcard are set to embark on their eagerly awaited headline run, "Up Up Down Down Tour," across the US. The stacked bill features special guests New Found Glory and Plain White T's. This run kicks on May 6 at Atlanta's Coca-Cola Roxy, visits major cities such as Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Nashville, and New York, and concludes on June 17 at Boston's Leader Bank Pavilion.

DOKKEN'S ERASE THE SLATE IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME ON 180G VINYL IN THE UNITED STATES

Dokken, formed in Los Angeles in 1978, had several hit singles which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, such as "Alone Again", "In My Dreams", and "Burning Like a Flame", and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The classic Dokken line-up consisted of founder Don Dokken on vocals, George Lynch on lead guitar, Mick Brown on drums and Jeff Pilson on bass.

Released in 1999, Erase the Slate had marked a fresh chapter for Dokken, introducing Reb Beach (best known for Winger and later Whitesnake) as the band’s lead guitarist. Erase the Slate blends Dokken’s classic melodic metal roots with a more modern, late-'90s hard rock edge. Reb Beach brought a technically sharp yet fluid guitar style that differed from the flashier, more aggressive approach of former guitarist George Lynch. His playing added a polished, groove-oriented feel while still delivering strong solos and riffs,

HEY THANKS. RETURN WITH SOPHOMORE ALBUM AVOIDANCE ALBUM ARRIVES JULY 3 VIA IODINE RECORDINGS BAND SHARES "RECOLLECTION"

hey thanks. have returned — and with a darker, more deliberate sound.

Blending post-punk and new wave influences, their sophomore full-length, Avoidance, reflects on time, identity, and the weight of isolation.

The album will arrive July 3 via Iodine Recordings. Pre-order or pre-save it here.

Today, the band shares the moody, new wave and '80s-influenced single "Recollection." Listen Below":

"Lyrically, this song is an expression of trying to understand the difference between love and desire," says singer Travis Opal. "The feeling of fulfillment that certain social and romantic relationships can give a person, etching them into feeling a sense of community and/or belonging. But trying to understand where that intent comes from within."

As for the song itself, Opal shares, "The production was created using a lot of the live drum samples we made and fiddling with live percussion and guitar performances. Blending that in with a wide array of synth landscapes that we recorded in our home studio."

Overall, Avoidance finds hey thanks. stepping back from trying to explain everything and sitting in the uncertainty instead.

Across these songs, nothing fully resolves. Moments repeat, thoughts loop, and meaning stays just out of reach. It lives in that in-between space, caught between experience and understanding.

As mentioned by Opal, Avoidance was recorded in their home studio. The album took shape piece by piece using live drum samples, layered percussion, guitar performances, and dense synth work, giving Avoidance its character. The band allowed the songs to unfold naturally, arriving somewhere more honest in the process.

Built on synth layers, live percussion, and bright, driving rhythms, the songs move with a steady pulse while never fully settling. There is a constant push and pull throughout, something that feels light on the surface but carries weight underneath.

Rather than offering clarity, Avoidance stays with the questions.

HEY THANKS. ARE:

Jaron Dufrene — Guitar
Trevor Lee — Drums

CRIMSON GLORY Release New Track “Beyond The Unknown” from the Upcoming Album “Chasing The Hydra”

Crimson Glory recently announced their brand new album “Chasing The Hydra”, the first new album in 26 years. The album will be released worldwide on all digital services, CD and vinyl on April 17th via BraveWords Records. The early reviews have been incredible and today the band releases a new track to YouTube for the fans… “Beyond The Unknown”

“Encapsulated, “Beyond The Unknown” was inspired by the thought of being comfortable with not knowing the answers to questions that pertain to the cosmos, our origins, our purpose, etc., and in some cases, even being apathetic towards it. Since the dawn of time, man has never been comfortable with not knowing things, and many times he has settled for not only unsatisfactory answers, but answers that are provably wrong. Whatever we fill in the gaps with, there will always be things we don't know, and may never know. So, we could say that there will always be things beyond the unknown.”

Swedish Gothic Doom Entity DRACONIAN Drop "Misantrophe River" Video

Swedish gothic doom metal entity DRACONIAN reveal their new single, "Misantrophe River," the second offering cut from their upcoming full-length, In Somnolent Ruin, to be released on May 8 via Napalm Records. "Misantrophe River" confronts listeners in true DRACONIAN fashion with life's hardest questions, exploring feelings of alienation when swimming against the stream, and the search for direction in unfamiliar territory.

The undisputed leaders of the second wave of gothic doom metal are finally back — and they return in better shape than ever! In Somnolent Ruin promises to be one of the most personal records in DRACONIAN's discography, revealed through a dream-like journey across 9 tracks and the poetic lyricism of vocalist Anders Jacobsson. The new album also marks the return of long-time vocalist Lisa Johansson — the band's vocalist for their first five records.

Ander Jacobsson about the new single:
"'Misanthrope River' was the first song written for this album. The initial idea goes back to the early days of Under a Godless Veil, but it remained dormant until work on this record began. It's an emotional gothic doom track- fairly minimalist, yet expansive in feel, with subtle touches that hint at post-metal and give the atmosphere a broader sense of depth. There's a suggestion of something ancient and mysterious running through it. Although interactive, at its core, the song deals with separation and isolation in a world where the larger truth has been kept from you and how those feelings slowly turn into resentment. You're pushing against the current wading upstream while doubting the way forward. In that struggle you'll be grasping at straws for any sense of peace while unintentionally shutting out the one closest to you. Shot in the Faroe Islands, the video places its actors within vast, striking landscapes. It was directed by Gaui H., the same director behind 'Cold Heavens.'"

In Somnolent Ruin captures the essence of a band that no longer needs to prove anything — and yet still does. Active since the mid-1990s and having released their debut album, Where Lovers Mourn, in 2003, DRACONIAN have continuously demonstrated their unmatched ability to craft otherworldly doom melodies and searing heavy instrumentation, complemented by lyrics that read like poetry. Their art cuts deep, compelling listeners to confront their inner demons, wander through the darkest shadows, and even embrace emotional numbness, only to emerge with a sense of inner peace. This album confronts listeners with life's hardest questions, exploring feelings of alienation and the search for direction in unfamiliar territory.

In Somnolent Ruin’s journey begins with "I Welcome Thy Arrow," which captivates from the very first seconds through haunting melodies and a vocal interplay that embodies fragility and strength alike. Tracks such as "The Monochrome Blade" and "The Face of God" introduce increased tempo and eruptive vocal dynamics. "Anima" features Swedish artist Daniel Änghede, adding layers of emotional depth and confronting listeners with their darker impulses, capturing the sense of being lost and questioning one's place in the world. "Asteria Beneath the Tranquil Sea" serves as a transitional interlude between "I Gave You Wings" and "Cold Heavens", the latter exploring the delicate balance between life and death and not finding relief in any of both, while delivering the album's most intense vocal performance. "Misanthrope River" opens with an extended instrumental passage and narration by Simon Bibby, slowing the tempo but by no means reducing the emotional weight, reflecting life’s daily struggles and obstacles. The closing track, "Lethe," references the river of forgetfulness in Greek mythology. Those who drank from it would lose all memory. "Oh, shooting star… Drown in me! Drink. Forget. Repeat," mourns Jacobsson through devilish growls. And yet, In Somnolent Ruinremains a work of art one wishes not to forget — not a single blink of an eye.
