Hillbilly Vegas Share New Single/Video "I Hope You Know"

Southern Rockers Hillbilly Vegas are sharing their new single & video for ”I Hope You Know”.  The track is the 1st single from the Oklahoma based band’s upcoming album “A La Mode”, which is slated for release in May via Quarto Valley Records. 

 

“I Hope You Know” is a song about the chaos of a relationship that’s deteriorated to the point of no return. The song is driven by guitars with a southern style, rocking blues groove - with just the right touch of grit that the band is known for.  

 

The band’s Steve Harris says “I Hope You Know’ comes from a very personal experience in my life, but it’s a moment a lot of people recognize. It can be a romantic relationship, a friendship, family, or even a professional relationship. In my case, it was a professional relationship and a lifelong friendship that slowly deteriorated due to substance abuse. It’s realizing the person you trusted isn’t in control anymore, and that you can’t fix it for them. Sometimes the only thing left to do is let go and hope it gives them the motivation to fix themselves.”

The video for “I Hope You Know”, which was directed by GR1M (Chase Matthews, Crucifix), was filmed in Oklahoma and produced by the band.  Harris explains the concept: “With the ‘I Hope You Know’ video, we paid tribute to where we come from and the music that built us. ’70s era rock was the greatest era of rock and roll. We kept it fun - like rock n’ roll is supposed to be and let the visuals reflect that golden age. We shot it at our warehouse during the worst snowstorm the U.S. had seen in 60 years, which forced us to keep it simple. Honestly, that made it even better.”

"Angel Wings" is a new term for PRESIDENT in many ways. It's not only the first new song of the year — it's also the band's first release for Atlantic Records.

Bizarrekult Confronts All There Is on New Album Alt Som Finnes

True to black metal’s fiercely individual spirit, upon moving to Norway at the end of the 2000s, Roman V. started Bizarrekult as a lone wolf. Much like Roman’s previous two retreats into the studio, his upcoming third album emerged from a deeply personal crisis. Only on Alt Som Finnes, he’s not alone in confronting all there.  

Alt Som Finnes comes out this Friday, February 20 on Season of Mist Underground Activists, but you can hear all eight absorbing songs today by listening to the full album stream below.

“I was not ready for all this”, Roman says about Alt Som Finnes. “None of us are, when the time comes. But at the end of this journey, it seems to have all been worth it. The music gave me hints as to where to go and what can be”.

Alt Som Finnes maintains the classic energy of old school Norwegian black metal. “Verdens verste” rails against consumerism with blistering grooves. With its crazed riffs and blistering howls, there’s no escape from the feverish intensity of “Drøm”. But Bizarrekult’s new album strips away all of our defenses while adding more post-metal ambiance. “Avmakt” surges and seethes in a fight for control before losing power amidst melodies that fall then fade like dying pinpricks of light.  

No one will emerge unscathed from Alt Som Finnes. However, for the first time, Roman is joined in his struggle. The album features guest vocalists from Predatory Void, MØL and Dødheimsgard. Behind a steady pounding of double bass, lead single “Blikket Hennes” buzzes with the all-consuming darkness of a guilty conscience, only for Yusaf “Vicotnik” Parvez to enlighten us with soothing cleans. Despite being riddled with regrets, closer “Tomhet” breaks new ground as the first Bizarrekult song sung in English.

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT today unveil their powerful new single "The Starlight Weeps" while announcing the forthcoming release of their new album, The World is a War Zone, due September 18, 2026 via Widowbird Records.

"The Starlight Weeps" offers the first glimpse into the band’s expansive and emotionally charged new chapter. Opening in free time on a brooding synth drone and sheets of textured guitar noise, the track slowly gathers momentum before erupting into surging waves of bass and thunderous drums. The arrangement moves in dramatic swells, rising to cathartic crescendos and retreating into moments of stark vulnerability.

Lyrically, the song imagines God attempting to reconnect with humanity, reframing divinity as something internal rather than distant. The repeated closing refrain, “God is coming back inside / God is coming home,” captures the spiritual core of both the single and the album it introduces.

The World is a War Zone marks the first full-length release under the name DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT. Formed in 2022 to reflect the emergence of a committed three-piece lineup, the band channels intense post-punk dynamics through the dark and primal undercurrents of folk music. Across nine tracks and 45 minutes, the album explores faith, psychological upheaval, suffering and renewal, navigating the internal battlefields that shape modern existence while holding fast to the possibility of redemption.

Built around hypnotic bass lines, powerful and nuanced drumming, chiming guitar arpeggios, warm organ textures and sheets of atmospheric noise, the band’s sound is both intimate and elemental. Las Vegas screamo quartet Roman Candle have dropped brand new single, "Bite Harder Than You Bleed", today. A razor-edged confession about industry pressure, false worship, and the hollow egos hiding beneath the surface. Lines like 'falsely shallow, hollow, refusing to follow' and 'your idols hate you too' were me processing how disheartening it can feel, but also how freeing it is to acknowledge it. NightNight is the electronic project from Yasmeen Night, residing in Brooklyn, NY. 

Her upcoming full length release More Weight, is produced by Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Einstürzende Neubauten, Nick Cave). The album uses modular synths, found sounds, and live instrumentation to transport the listener to a place where we ask hard questions and seek for truth. Additionally, unreleased tracks from the record have been remixed by Johnny Hostile (Jehnny Beth, Savages) and A Place to Bury Strangers.

VCTMS Release Video for New Single "devil's // speak" Feat. Fox Lake

VCTMS return with a dark, aggressive nu-metal x metalcore track fueled by revenge and emotional exploitation. Rising from the Atlanta metal underground, CELESTIAL DEATH was forged in 2023 by guitarist and vocalist Forrest Jessup and drummer Matthew Carmichael. LA-based alt-rock artist TX2 has today released his debut album End Of Us via Hopeless Records. The 13-track album features collaborations with Black Veil Brides, Magnolia Park, Ice Nine Kills, DeathbyRomy, and Ekoh, and arrives after a decade of building one of heavy music's most polarizing and devoted fanbases. ABOUT TX2

TX2 is the project of Los Angeles-based artist Evan Thomas, known for raw, emotionally charged alt-rock that refuses to play by the rules. Since going viral on TikTok in 2023 with "I Would Hate Me Too," TX2 has amassed 1 million monthly Spotify listeners, 1.3 million TikTok followers, and a touring resume that includes opening for Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage, Ice Nine Kills, and Parkway Drive on the Summer of Loud tour.

Thomas founded the X Movement, a community dedicated to mental health awareness and creating safe spaces for fans who feel like they don't belong. He's openly queer, vocally advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and fan safety, and stays after every show to meet every fan, sometimes for hours. He's been called emo's most hated artist and its most necessary voice, often in the same breath. His debut album End Of Us is out now via Hopeless Records.

Today marks the release of Cream Of The Crap! Collected Non-Album Works • Volume 3, the newest, long-overdue entry in a series of rarities collections by Swedish high energy rockers THE HELLACOPTERS, combining rare and lesser-known material from a myriad of singles, EPs, and compilation songs. The 24 tracks featured in this set have originally been released between 1998 and 2005, most of them only on vinyl and out-of-print CDs, and include originals like ‘Disappointment Blues’, ‘Freeway To Hell’, ‘Doggone Your Bad-Luck Soul’, 'Ferrytale' and ‘Long Gone Losers’ as well as cover versions of songs by Motörhead, Wilson Pickett, MC5, Smokey Robinson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, The Ramones, The Nomads, Adam West – whose singer Jake Starr penned liner notes for this release – and many, many more. Furthermore, a lot of these songs have never been released digitally. Meticulously compiled by Robert Eriksson, transferred from master tapes and vinyl by Henke Jonsson, and remastered for maximum audio fidelity by Magnus Lindberg, with Cream Of The Crap! Less than three years after their triumphant, chart-storming comeback record, Eyes Of Oblivion, which entered on #1 in their home country, on #3 in Germany, and on #6 in Finland, Sweden's most consistently great rock outfit is back with another banger of an album called Overdriver, due out on January 31st, 2025.

In the meantime, THE HELLACOPTERS have celebrated their triumphant return by playing a show with the mighty Iron Maiden in Gothenburg in July 2022, and gigs with Ghost in Germany in June 2023, apart from their own string of headline shows throughout Europe. Eager to keep the rock flowing, February 16th, 2024 saw THE HELLACOPTERS release not one, but two stunning versions of their classic Grande Rock album, which was originally released in 1999. Grande Rock Revisited included a remastered original version and a remixed and partially re-recorded version as a companion piece, showing how the album could have sounded in a parallel universe with guitarist Dregen being in the band at the time. After making rock grande again, the group set sights on new material, debuting the phenomenal single 'Stay With You'  in May 2024 and releasing it as limited 7inch via Lightning Records.

Their ninth full-length Overdriver was recorded at Strawberry Studio & The Honk Palace and is the first HELLACOPTERS album entirely produced by Nicke Andersson. As you might expect from a HELLACOPTERS album it's filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before. Overdriver was hailed by many as a career highlight and it was a huge success, entering the Swedish charts on #1 and the German charts on #6 upon release.
