A RETURN TO WIDE OPEN WONDER: HUNTERGIRL RELEASES “SOMEWHERE WILD” — OUT NOW

With “Somewhere Wild,” out today via 19 Recordings/BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, HunterGirl steps into 2026 with a song that feels like stepping barefoot into cold creek water and remembering who you used to be. Written with Jeff Garrison and Bob DiPiero, the track is a slow burning, windswept release built on the urge to slip away from the noise, touch the earth again, and follow the quiet pull of a freedom you can feel long before you can name it. Listen Below.

Anchored by a steady, heartbeat pulse and lifted by Dobro and pedal steel that move like shifting light through trees, the song leans into the cinematic sweep of open country. HunterGirl’s unmistakable voice carries both grit and vulnerability, turning the melody into a compass and the chorus into a reminder that somewhere out there is the place that sets your soul back on fire.

“‘Somewhere Wild’ was a song that just fell out in the writing room. It was exactly where my heart was at the beginning of this year. When I was little, my Grandpa had a place by the creek he called The Wilderness. He made it magical. You had to say The Wilderness three times before running through the woods with my sister and cousins, and for a moment it felt like anything could happen.

As you get older, those words, ‘anything can happen,’ start to mean something very different. The unknown becomes a scary place to be. This year I felt like I was back in The Wilderness, but this time I was lost in it.

‘Somewhere Wild’ became my way back. It was a journey of finding myself again and reigniting that spark of endless possibility. It is a reminder that it is never too late to grow, and that sometimes being lost is what leads you home.”

– HunterGirl

“Somewhere Wild” follows “Dirt,” which arrived last fall and struck a chord with fans for its rich, small town imagery and grounding sense of home. It adds to the growing momentum HunterGirl has built through a steady run of releases, including her acclaimed Tennessee Girl EP, each one further establishing her voice as a natural storyteller. Along the way, she has earned 80 million global streams, a Grand Ole Opry debut to a standing ovation, and received praise from People, CMT, and MusicRow, who hailed her as “a major, major new talent.” With tours alongside Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry, HunterGirl continues to build a career defined by heart, honesty, and an unmistakable point of view, all of which converge on “Somewhere Wild.”

About HunterGirl

HunterGirl is a luminous and emotionally grounded songwriter rooted in Tennessee storytelling. Onstage since she was three and writing songs by nine, she built her career the old school way, playing honky tonks across the Southeast while working with veterans nonprofits including Operation Song, Freedom Sings, and A Soldier’s Child, helping service members turn their stories into songs. She rose to national attention as the runner up on American Idol, earning praise from judge Luke Bryan, who called her the “new age Miranda Lambert” and his “favorite female Country voice.” Since then, HunterGirl has amassed nearly 80 million global streams, made her Grand Ole Opry debut to standing ovations, and toured with Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry, all while solidifying her reputation as a natural storyteller with a compelling point of view. Her Tennessee Girl EP showcased both range and heart, highlighted by fan favorites “Bad Boy” and “Ain’t About You,” and her release “Dirt” resonated widely for its vivid small-town imagery and emotional truth. Now, in 2026, HunterGirl unveils “Somewhere Wild,” a slow burning, windswept anthem that rekindles the sense of wide-open wonder she first felt exploring The Wilderness as a child. With a voice that feels both lived in and full of light, she continues to carve her own lane as one of country music’s most compelling new artists.

Solo Artist Seth Salois Releases New Single "Surrender" + Music Video

Rhode Island-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Seth Salois proudly releases his brand-new single, “Surrender,” available now on all streaming platforms. "Surrender" is the 2nd single off of the forthcoming album Between the Darkness and the Light due out in late 2026.

STREAM “Surrender” HERE

"'Surrender' was always going to be the 2nd single because I felt it was a great way to showcase the ends of my writing spectrum. I grew up on bands who were able to create energy, emotion and chaos etc., not just with heaviness but with content and passion. Bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul and Sevendust had these beautiful songs that had as much veracity as the heaviest parts of their catalog. Not that I am ever comparing myself to them but they were always such influence on me as to what was possible," shares Salois.

The song was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered at No Boundaries Studio in RI by Chris Piquette. Chris also lent himself to the guitar, bass, programming. The drums were done by Brody Briggs who lend his talent to the first single "Failed Storm Drain" and the rest of the remaining songs to come.

WATCH the Official Music Video for "Surrender": Below

If you are looking for songs with words that matter, music that carries a story and a voice that tells the truth, you have found what you’re looking for. Seth Salois is Rhode Island native who has been the front man/guitarist, lyricist, and catalyst for the RI base band Psycle for over 20 years. Bringing tenacity, soul and purpose to what Psycle’s music stood for was always at the fore front of the group and this can now be found in his own songs.

With the upcoming EP Between the Darkness and the Light, due out in 2026,  Seth has created a landscape of songs to voice his experiences, his will and the transference of those around him. The EP will consist of 5 songs that will reach the edges of all his musical inspirations ranging from the 90’s Seattle sound, to Modern artists such as Shinedown, Daughtry, and Alter Bridge. The first single “Failed Storm Drain” will bring you thru a maze of beautiful melodies, introspective lyrics and crushing guitars that leave you asking, “Are we better when we are together?”. With the swing and edge of bands like Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin to the soulful delivery of Chris Daughtry, “Failed Storm Drain” delivers a potent statement to its last breath.

Creating a family of like-minded individuals who are looking for stories to share, feelings of hope and light in the darkest of times, and a way through it all is not only who he is as a person but who he tries to inspire others to be. Welcome to a place where the only ego in the room…is the song.

IRON SAVIOR Unleash Powerful Metal Cover Of “Relax”

Hamburg’s power metal pioneers IRON SAVIOR return with their brand-new single "Relax", a crushing metal reinterpretation of the legendary 80s hit by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Following their previously released covers of Irene Cara’s “Fame” and Alphaville’s “Forever Young”, the band once again proves their ability to transform iconic pop songs into uncompromising power metal anthems. “Relax” is the latest single taken from the upcoming album Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy, scheduled for release on March 27, 2026 via PERCEPTION – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.

Originally built on provocation and groove, “Relax” is reborn as a driving, riff-heavy anthem that turns restraint into raw energy. "Relax is one of my all time favorite non-metal song," IRON SAVIOR frontman Piet Sielck reveals. "It’s been on my mind for a very long time to do this and I really think, this version serves the original well. We did a good job in transferring the vibe and the energy of the original into the Iron Savior cosmos."

The band injects the track with soaring vocals, massive guitars, and their unmistakable melodic power, without losing the spirit of the original. With Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy, IRON SAVIOR prove once more that great songs never age - they just get heavier!

After reigniting their cosmic engines with Machine World – Reforged in 2025, IRON SAVIOR embark on their boldest mission yet. “Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy” transforms some of the most iconic pop hits of the 1980s into full-throttle power metal epics, combining nostalgia, passion, and the band’s trademark precision and fire, proving that the past can shine brighter than ever when reforged in metal.

From the electrifying rush of A-ha’s “Take On Me” and the thunderous drama of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” to the cinematic pulse of Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora’s “When The Rain Begins To Fall” and the adrenaline-fueled “Maniac” by Michael Sembello, IRON SAVIOR turn pop classics into heroic, melodic metal anthems.

“After the huge success of the 2002 Condition Red bonus track “Crazy” (Seal), which was actually used in a HBO TV show, we have been asked by fans and medias almost constantly to do a complete cover tracks album," Sielck explains, and adds: "So… two decades later here we are!” quotes frontman Piet Sielck. “AWESOME ANTHEMS continues the transformation from pop-to-metal in Iron Savior style as started with Seal’’s “Crazy” and Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams. We are absolutely proud of the outcome, which never looses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% Iron Savior. Just listen yourself.. I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!”

Code:Words Share New Single "Limerence"

THE ARTERY FOUNDATION recently announced that it had added CODE:WORDS to its roster.

Today, the band debuts its new single "Limerence."

Listen Below.

Vocalist John Dillon shares that the track is about "being caught in the grey area between something real and something imagined, and the mental spiral that comes with infatuation and uncertainty."

The band also has an upcoming show supporting Solely Veil at the Goldfield Trading Post in Roseville, California on January 17.

ABOUT CODE:WORDS:

When CODE:WORDS formed in Los Angeles in 2023, they did not arrive quietly. The band showed up with urgency and a sound that already felt lived in — like it had a past behind it, like they'd been a touring act for years before anyone was paying attention.

They first gained attention with "Wash the Blood," a debut that spread without a rollout or a manufactured moment. People found it on their own and kept passing it along. In just over a year, the band's catalog pushed toward two million streams — not on manufactured hype, but on repeat listens and slow-built loyalty.

Fronted by John Dillon, with Garrett Lowery and Max Codoceo, CODE:WORDS write from uncomfortable places: Obsession. Shame. Control. Emotional exhaustion. Nothing is exaggerated. Nothing is softened. The music is meant to make you feel something raw, and it leaves you uneasy in the best way.

The band's sound was shaped alongside producer Hiram Hernandez (Blessthefall, Honey Revenge). The approach is deliberate. Clear, and concise with one objective; Give you everything until, you feel it all.

ABOUT THE ARTERY FOUNDATION:
The Artery Foundation is a familiar name to hard rock fans. In 2025, the brand has rebooted and is a full service company. It's a label, artist management and producer management firm, among other things. During its 2010s heyday, the brand helped author the burgeoning metalcore scene, having been responsible for singing and breaking genre titans.

From the sweaty chaos of basements and VFW halls to the world's biggest festivals, Artery has helped guide talent from local notoriety to global recognition. The list of heavy music cornerstone acts that started with Artery speaks for itself" A Day To Remember, Motionless In White, Dance Gavin Dance, Beartooth, Sleeping With Sirens, The Amity Affliction, Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada, Our Last Night, Memphis May Fire, Fit For A King, The Plot In You, Attila, Attack Attack!, and more.

In 2010, the company launched Artery Recordings, a label imprint that gave rise to breakout acts like Chelsea Grin and Kublai Khan TX. As Artery continued to expand, founder Eric Rushing concurrently deepened his influence on Sacramento's music and nightlife culture. His handiwork is evident in various live venues, restaurants, and bars.

MALEFIC Strike With “Blood Of The Throne,” A Ruthless Opening Statement From Impermanence

Blackened thrash force MALEFIC returns with ferocity intact on their new single, “Blood Of The Throne,” the opening salvo from their forthcoming full-length album Impermanence, due out February 13th, 2026 via Terminus Hate City. Pre-orders for Impermanence are available HERE.

Starting the album with a bang, “Blood Of The Throne” is a blistering blackened thrash track driven by relentless high tempos and unyielding aggression. The song showcases each member of MALEFIC at their absolute limits, featuring extremely fast and precise guitar picking, overly ornate drumming, and a sharp command of leads, melodies, and harmonic interplay.

Lyrically, “Blood Of The Throne” confronts the struggles of capitalism and the systems of global control imposed on the masses. While its sentiment echoes the idea of slaying the monarchy, the focus is firmly on modern structures of power, including CEOs, members of Congress, and world leaders. Ironically, the song was originally written by former guitarist Cory, whose later political alignment moved in a drastically different direction. Despite that, the lyrics remain strikingly relevant, fitting both the desperation present in the music and the broader social climate. Regardless of where listeners fall on the American political spectrum, the message is clear. We all recognize the real demons in our society, we simply do not agree on the solution.

As a high-energy, hype-driven track, the band felt Impermanence had to begin with something uncompromising. “Blood Of The Throne” sends a clear message that MALEFIC is not here to ease listeners in. Originally intended to be the album title, the song instead lent its name and artwork to a four-song demo released on Bandcamp and later on cassette. Having existed since the band’s early days, the track has evolved significantly with the modern lineup.

The song builds tension through desperate, biting vocals before opening into a soaring melodic break reminiscent of classic 1980s heavy metal. It ultimately closes with a final verse and solo, turning what was once a somber, reflective ending into a decisive final statement. That choice reinforces the song’s core theme. Capitalism and global politics do not quietly fade out, they grind forward until there is nothing left.

A proven crowd-pleaser and one of the band’s favorite tracks to perform live, “Blood Of The Throne” is also among the most demanding songs in the MALEFIC catalog, particularly for the drummer and vocalist, due to the sheer intensity and density of every part.

About MALEFIC:
MALEFIC roared onto the Atlanta metal scene in 2007 with ambitions to modernize the black metal genre. With their tight riffs, tasty leads, and relatable lyricism, MALEFIC abandons cliches and defies traditional genre boundaries. Their special blend of black metal, drawing from thrash and death metal influences, appeals to metalheads across subgenres. They count OLD MAN'S CHILD, CARCASS, TESTAMENT, DISSECTION, and OPETH among their most prominent influences, offering a fresh, modern take on metal that is unrivaled in the United States.

Though they are set to release their very first full-length album, Impermanence, in 2025, MALEFIC boasts an impressive live performance history, having played shows with notable bands such as 1349, CRYPTA, and PROFANATICA. After a hiatus in 2009, the band eagerly picked back up where they left off and reformed with a new lineup. MALEFIC initially began work on Impermanence in 2018, taking their time to ensure that every detail accurately reflected their vision for their album. The band's hard work and dedication has culminated in a powerful debut, lovingly crafted by fans of nuanced, boundary-pushing music.

MALEFIC lineup:
Jason Davila - Guitar
Aaron Baumoel - Drums, Vocals
Sam Williams - Guitar
Andy McGraw - Bass

Death Thrash Metal Outfit INTOXICATED Unleashes Vicious New Single, "Shifted Cross"

Florida death thrash metal outfit INTOXICATED will be unleashing their third full-length, 'The Dome,' on March 27, 2026 via Redefining Darkness! The band is now unleashing the vicious second single from the album, "Shifted Cross," which can be found below.

Vocalist/guitarist Erik Payne comments, "'Shifted Cross' was written for the puppeteers. The ones that hide in the night, the manipulative cowards. It's a reminder that we see them and to never get complacent. They as well can be pulverized where they snivelingly hide."

INTOXICATED is a thrash/death metal band from Altamonte Springs, Florida, originally formed in 1993. Led by vocalist and guitarist Erik Payne, the band quickly carved out a place in Florida’s extreme metal lineage, earning early mentorship from Death’s legendary Chuck Schuldiner. Rooted firmly in Florida’s storied death-thrash tradition, Intoxicated’s sound draws natural comparisons to Death, Sadus, and Obituary— as marked by unrelenting speed, sharp riffing, and concise, high-impact songwriting.

'The Dome' is now available for pre-orders in the USA HERE while it's available for the rest of the world HERE.

In addition, INTOXICATED is hitting the road tomorrow, December 5, in support of Obituary's Florida Swamp Tour 2. The cover artwork for 'The Dome' was created by Celeste Payne.

Their first run produced a trio of EPs—.08 (1994), Scars (1995), and Metal Neck (1997)—before releasing their third EP, Drain.

Following their initial rise, Intoxicated went on hiatus as Payne, along with Obituary’s Donald Tardy and Ken Andrews, joined the touring lineup for Andrew W.K. in 1999, a role they held for nearly two decades while performing around the world.

The band reactivated in 2019, returning with the Walled EP (2020) and their long-awaited debut full-length, Watch You Burn (2022). The album showcased the band’s signature blend of ragged thrash aggression and Florida-bred death metal grit. Featuring guest appearances from Ken Andrews (Obituary, ex–Andrew W.K.) and Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste), and produced, mixed, and mastered by Ryan Boesch (Foo Fighters, Andrew W.K.) at Candor Recording—formerly Morbid Angel’s headquarters—Watch You Burn reaffirmed Intoxicated’s place among fans of classic Kreator, Death, Obituary, Protector, and Devastation.

Now, Intoxicated is preparing to unleash their second full-length album, The Dome, on Redefining Darkness Records.

Rooted firmly in Florida’s storied death-thrash tradition, Intoxicated’s sound draws natural comparisons to Death, Sadus, and Obituary— as marked by unrelenting speed, sharp riffing, and concise, high-impact songwriting.

SCHATTENMANN Unveil Title Track From Upcoming Album Endgegner

SCHATTENMANN usher in the new year with the release of Endgegner, the title track from their upcoming studio album. The song signals a decisive next step for the band and sets the tone for a new chapter in their musical journey.

With “Endgegner” [German for “Final Boss”], SCHATTENMANN present themselves sharper and more focused than ever. The track blends German-language metal with pronounced core elements, driven rhythms, and an unapologetic attitude. Crushing riffs, a powerful groove, and a commanding chorus turn the song into a statement piece that reflects both intensity and confidence.

As frontman Frank Herzig reveals:
"This song was my ultimate final boss! Never before has a track driven me so crazy, challenged me so much, and demanded so much from me. In the entire history of Schattenmann, there hasn't been a song that required so many versions and attempts. In the end, I am incredibly proud of it – especially because the path to the finished song was so rocky and because it offers so much both musically and lyrically. It grabs you immediately and doesn't let go until the very end: hard, loud, emotional."

DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT Roll Out New Single "Hearse"

Portland-based industrial outfit DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT return with their new single "Hearse", a cheeky, high-energy bone shaker inspired by classic gallows humor and driven by relentless industrial force, available via Armalyte Industries.

The track takes its cue from the haunting childhood rhyme, “Don’t ever laugh as the hearse goes by for you may be the next to die.” Embracing the dark humor of the line, DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT transforms it into a frantic, stomp-along anthem that barrels forward with manic intensity and morbid fun.

“Hearse” features guest drums by Martin Atkins, a founding figure of the Chicago post-punk and industrial movement. Best known for his work with PUBLIC IMAGE LTD., MINISTRY, and KILLING JOKE, Atkins helped define the sound and attitude of modern industrial music. He is also the founder of Invisible Records, a pivotal imprint responsible for releasing and championing numerous underground industrial and experimental artists. His signature frenetic style underscores the song’s urgency and chaos, pushing the track into overdrive.

Adding another layer of ferocity is Glen Clarke, currently of VEER UNION and UNGOTHLY PLACES, and formerly of 2 SHADOWS, whose screams and growls inject raw aggression into the mix. The song also features a chilling spoken sample from John Kassir (aka the Cryptkeeper), alongside Z. Wager, delivering the titular line with unmistakable menace.

Anchored by relentless guitars and bass, "Hearse" is a high-energy march through the graveyard and a reminder of life’s brutal simplicity. In the end, we’re all just meat on the slab. Live it up or die trying.

About DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT:
Formed in 2007, the Portland OR, USA, act began as a solo project by Zach Wager before evolving into a full band in 2011. Drawing inspiration from the likes of SLIPKNOT, PIG, NINE INCH NAILS, and ROB ZOMBIE, DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT allow themselves to be experimental with their creative direction. The band use these influences along with a wide array of instruments and styles to create a distinctive sound, "I think the unique elements of our sound really stem from not trying to write any conventionally genre specific song. So whether it’s using theremins, sampling high tension wires, or anything we feel can add some personality to the song - nothing is off limits."

Over the course of their career to date, DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT's notable appearances include Knotfest (2015), Wasteland Weekend (2018-2022, 2024), as support for COMBICHRIST on the Only Death is Immortal North American Tour (2024), along with headlining Hellfire Tour (2018, West Coast/Southwest Run) and Bring Out The Dead North American Tour (2019). DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT have also created/performed multiple soundscapes for Belgian surrealist photographers, Mothmeister, at their art exhibits.

DEAD ANIMAL ASSEMBLY PLANT is:
Zach ‘Dead’ Wager (Vocals)
Rebecca ‘Buzz’ Wager (Guitars)
Nick ‘Nix’ Snyder (Bass)
Jason ‘Skorn’ Moore (Drums)

DISSENTIENCE Level Cities With Crushing New Single "Kaiju"

DISSENTIENCE has released "Kaiju," the ferocious title track from their forthcoming EP Kaiju, arriving February 20, 2026. The new single opens with an explosive riff that immediately sets the stage for total destruction and signals the band’s most cinematic and punishing material to date.

Driven by relentless D beat heavy verses, "Kaiju" channels the raw aggression of punk influenced Swedish death metal pioneers like ENTOMBED and GRAVE while maintaining a distinctly modern edge. Riff after riff pummels the listener, creating a synesthetic clash between sound and story as the lyrics depict a colossal monster leveling a fictional city. The massive groove of the chorus adds a new dimension. It is catchy enough to linger yet crushingly heavy, proving that brutality and memorability can coexist.

Midway through the track, DISSENTIENCE briefly eases the throttle with a tense guitar break before detonating into what may be the heaviest riff on the EP. A haunting and dissonant solo from guitarist Connor Valentin escalates the chaos before trading off into searing pentatonic shredding from Jimmy Vitale. Just when it seems the song might relent, the final section surges forward, building intensity with each repetition and culminating in absolute chaos as soaring vocals collide with pummeling drum fills and harmonized riffing.

With "Kaiju," DISSENTIENCE continues to push the boundaries of modern metal storytelling, blending technical mastery with vivid cinematic scope. Fans can expect a fully immersive experience when Kaiju drops in full on February 20, 2026.

Kaiju is a four track concept EP inspired by Japanese monster cinema and Lovecraftian horror. Produced by the band alongside Corey Pierce, the record was engineered by Matt Menafro at Peach Pie Sound, mixed by Zeuss, and mastered by Alan Douches. The EP will be released independently on digital and CD formats.

Ireland's Ger Eaton shares 'I Thought I'd A Friend', highlighting debut 'Season Changes' album

Irish singer-songwriter Ger Eaton shares 'I Thought I'd A Friend', an enchanting track that highlights his debut album 'Season Changes', recently released via Peckham-based label Dimple Discs. With a rich progression from baroque pop and cinematic balladry to more folk elements, Eaton creates music that is laced with broad orchestral arrangements, drama, and honesty.

Accompanied by an endearing video by Damien Hickey and beautiful string arrangements, 'I Thought I'd A Friend' is the latest in a string of singles that include 'Season Changes', 'Hollow' and 'The Time It Takes To Fall', and recently-released live rendition of 'Phoenix (Reborn)' and 'Season Changes', recorded live at Hyde Dublin.

A singer and sonic auteur with flair for Renaissance Pop, Ger Eaton is well known in his native homeland as a performer, his distinctive keyboards having graced many Irish bands of the last two decades. These songs carry echoes of Scott Walker, Jimmy Webb, Brian Wilson, Ian Brown and the high melodic heyday of the late 1960s, yet shot through with a contemporary slant and edge.

"‘Season Changes’ is essentially an old fashioned break-up LP. All of the songs deal with the complexities, both emotional and physical, that come with the ending of a very long and significant relationship. Mirroring the seasons, ‘Season Changes’ charts the often inevitable decay of a relationship, from the glowing bloom of its Spring, gradually ebbing away to its wintery conclusion," says Ger Eaton.

"The songs were written about and recorded during the end of  my marriage, and I decided from the off that the Lyrics would be raw and honest… I felt I owed that much to myself. Musically, I wanted the arrangements and instrumentation to bring a lushness and drama that would wrap the words in the appropriate Musical Cloak ...For me, music has always been a place where I can both lose and find myself… a Solice … my Phoenix."

Each new song and accompanying video from Ger Easton has marked an exciting stage in his progress, for which he has received recognition and tremendous support from music writers and radio programmers in Ireland and the UK, and now in America and further abroad.

The 'Season Changes' album is out now on vinyl and CD, and is also available from digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and also Bandcamp

"Sounds of Ardul" by Chronicler of Ardul

Sounds of Ardul is a sweeping orchestral journey into the dark fantasy realm of Ardul, composed by David Williams of CHRONICLER OF ARDUL. Instead of relying on metal elements, the album embraces cinematic storytelling through rich symphonic textures, intimate folk tunes, and atmospheric worldbuilding. Each track feels like a moment from a larger adventure, guiding listeners through taverns, shadowed forests, ancient mists, and violent clashes. With recurring motifs, emotional character themes, and evocative arrangements, Sounds of Ardul invites audiences to step directly into the world itself, experiencing its wonder, danger, and humanity firsthand.

“Watch Over Me (feat. EXILED HOPE)” opens the album as a bardic folk song carried by clean guitar, violin, hand percussion, and the expressive voice of Sofia Frasz, following a lost traveler yearning for home while navigating the perilous roads of Ardul. “Watch Over Me (Village Version)” shifts to a smaller, more comforting space, portraying the safety and simplicity found within village walls through a short instrumental loop of guitar and violin. “You’re Gone (feat. SYYN)” brings the emotional weight of loss to the forefront, with Aaron Johnson III delivering a somber tavern ballad about love, its fleeting beauty, and the devastating revelation of death that reshapes the meaning of each chorus.

The album’s worldbuilding takes a lively turn with “Oh Me Oh My,” a rowdy late-night tavern song featuring vocals by David Williams, built from stomps, claps, bottle taps, and a catchy refrain meant for drunken patrons. “Woodlands” ventures outside into the dark beauty of Ardul’s forests using strings, harp, clarinet, piano, and choir to evoke mystery and deceptive warmth. Its variations expand that setting: “Woodlands (Alternate Version)” isolates the listener with cello, piano, and harp, while “Woodlands (Battle Theme)” heightens the danger with brass, percussion, and rhythmic urgency as hidden threats reveal themselves.

“In the Mists of the Myrewood (Remastered)” returns to the foundational themes of the larger Ardul mythos. A solo piano piece born early in the project’s history, it whispers with darkness and elegance, building into the thick, treacherous fog that defines the Myrewood. “Veiled Truth” explores moral ambiguity through shifting strings, piano, choir, and guitar, reflecting the uneasy question of whether familiar faces can be trusted. “Unwelcomed Guests” continues the rising tension with timpani heartbeats, clacking percussion, unsettling strings, and a divided choir as an unwelcome figure approaches with unclear intentions.

“To Arms! (String Quintet)” marks the snapping point where conflict erupts, delivering an intimate yet fierce battle theme reminiscent of classic RPG duels. “Temporary Respite” pulls the listener back into calm with soft piano and choir, offering a resting place after turmoil. “Moments From Disaster” churns with heavy drums, tense strings, rumbling voices, and pounding piano, capturing the split second before catastrophe when every instinct screams to act.

“Underground” descends into the cold, winding depths beneath Ardul where dissonant strings, heavy drums, male drones, and brooding piano create deliberate disorientation. “Underground (Alternate Version)” tightens the space to a quieter but more claustrophobic passage lit by a single torch. “To Arms!” unleashes the full symphonic battle, a large-scale conflict with expanded orchestration and dramatic intensity.

The album’s final bard song, “Zarek the Bloody,” introduces a legendary figure whose reputation is both heroic and ominous. With accordion, bass, percussion, and vocals by David Williams, the piece hints at Zarek’s deeds, the cursed blade he wields, and his place in the greater Ardul narrative.

Sounds of Ardul also includes extended ten-minute looping versions of twelve tracks, crafted for worldbuilders, tabletop players, writers, and listeners who want to immerse themselves even further. As the third pillar of CHRONICLER OF ARDUL’s overarching project, this album expands the world’s scope while maintaining musical motifs that connect past works to future stories.

About CHRONICLER OF ARDUL:

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL is the cinematic dark fantasy project created by composer and multi-instrumentalist David Williams, blending orchestral storytelling with the atmosphere and intensity of extreme music. Formed in 2023, the project explores the mythic world of Ardul through three creative pillars: metal, orchestral composition, and written narrative. Every release expands the lore, using recurring motifs, character themes, and emotional worldbuilding to connect albums, stories, and songs into one cohesive universe. Influenced by SHADOW OF INTENT, MENTAL CRUELTY, Nobuo Uematsu, and Yasunori Nishiki, CHRONICLER OF ARDUL approaches concept music with the depth of a novel and the drama of a film score.

The project began as an idea in 2015 and has since grown into a multi-medium saga, starting with the Myrewood EP in 2023 and continuing with Sword of Virné and accompanying short stories. Williams handles all writing, recording, mixing, and artwork, giving the project a distinct voice anchored in emotional honesty and narrative purpose. Every melody is intentional and often foreshadows future events in the overarching story, creating a world that rewards close listening. CHRONICLER OF ARDUL stands as a unique fusion of fantasy, composition, and immersive storytelling, inviting listeners not only to hear the music but to live within the world it creates.

Brutal Planet Records Announce the Remastered Releases of SIX FEET UNDER Albums “Unburied” and “Bringer Of Blood” on CD and Vinyl

Brutal Planet Records drags Six Feet Under Unburied and Bringer of Blood from obscurity with their first fully distributed vinyl editions. Unburied is pressed on Opaque Turquoise Vinyl and on CD. These nine unreleased tracks—grim outtakes from the Undead, Unborn, and Torment sessions—capture Six Feet Under in their most visceral and unrefined state. As Chris Barnes noted: “I always felt like these tracks were excellent Six Feet Under material. Real raw and in their earliest form.”

Previously available only as a flimsy, low-quality cardboard-sleeve promo that barely surfaced in the collector world, Unburied has long been considered nearly impossible to obtain. This Brutal Planet Records edition finally gives these unearthed horrors a proper home in a jewel case with a 12-page lyric booklet, remastered by Rob Colwell and officially welcomed into the Metal Icon Series.

Brutal Planet Records resurrects the album with its first worldwide retail vinyl release, pressed on Opaque Turquoise Vinyl and mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell. Housed in a traditional jacket with a 12x12 lyric insert, this edition finally gives Unburied the high-quality physical treatment fans have been waiting for. Only 500 LPs are being pressed. When they're gone, they’re gone.

The only previous vinyl pressing appeared briefly in Italy as a magazine kiosk bonus. It sold out instantly, was never placed into retail distribution, and is now almost impossible to locate. This Brutal Planet Records edition finally gives Unburied a proper physical home with upgraded sound mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell, a traditional jacket, and a 12x12 lyric insert.

Brutal Planet Records also brings Bringer of Blood back from the underground, resurrecting one of Six Feet Under’s most savage chapters with its first-ever U.S. vinyl release. Originally unleashed in 2003 and recorded at Morrisound Studios, this album captures the band at peak ferocity—thick, pulsing riffs, grisly atmosphere, and Chris Barnes’ unmistakable guttural roar carving through each track like a bone saw.

SISTER KILL CYCLE Unleashes A Dark, Industrial Reckoning of CCR's Classic “BAD MOON RISING”

SISTER KILL CYCLE is back—and this time, they’re staring straight into the storm as they take the iconic Creedence Clearwater Revival classic song and is reborn as a crushing anthem for uncertain times.

The industrial rock provocateurs have released a ferocious new cover of “Bad Moon Rising,” transforming the legendary CCR anthem into a menacing, modern-day prophecy drenched in distortion, grit, and raw intensity. Where the original warned of trouble on the horizon, SISTER KILL CYCLE turns that warning into a full-scale sonic uprising.

From the first pulse to the final note,

“Bad Moon Rising” is reimagined through the band’s signature blend of industrial aggression, dark atmospheres, and unrelenting rhythm.

Grinding guitars collide with pounding electronics, while the vocals deliver the song’s ominous message with a snarling urgency that feels eerily relevant in today’s fractured world.

SISTER KILL CYCLE has long been known for pushing boundaries and refusing to play it safe, and this release is no exception. By taking a timeless rock classic and injecting it with industrial firepower, the band bridges generations—connecting the paranoia and unrest of the past with the volatile energy

of now.

Perfect for fans of hard-hitting industrial rock, dark alternative, and fearless reinterpretations, “Bad Moon Rising” stands as both a tribute and a warning: the moon is rising, the tension is building, and SISTER KILL CYCLE is here to soundtrack the fallout.

'Winter Movement' EP by Matt Wilier out Now

Matt Wilier began improvising on piano at the age of 5, with no knowledge of music other than his own feelings and sensations. After practicing for a few years, it was at the music conservatory that he discovered technique and then classical music.

From the age of 12, he would fall asleep listening to Keith Jarrett’s solo piano albums, including ‘The Köln Concert’ and ‘La Scala’. During the same period, after having studied the Romantics (and Chopin’s rubato), he was captivated by impressionist music and became fascinated by the French movement ‘Les Six’. But ultimately, he considers ‘Gaspard de la Nuit’ by Maurice Ravel to be one of the most beautiful piano works.

While retaining his initial desire for improvisation, he threw himself into minimalist and repetitive music, freeing himself from judgement and taking an interest in sonic resonances, frequencies and vibrations of the piano as proof of the passage of time.

In 2019, he released his first EP ‘Jours’, a collection of older improvised recordings, and chose to regularly release tracks resulting from his process of creation with the French label, Bruit Blanc.

‘Variations’, his 11-track album, was released on 28th June 2024. The recording of this album was no exception, with Matt once again focusing on resonances. ‘Variations’ is built in the same way, with changing melodies, harmonies and rhythms. However, this time the piano is not alone, with strings, string layers, ensemble and analog bass frequencies as accompaniment.

This album is built like an original movie soundtrack. Images flash by as you close your eyes and listen to it.

In September 2024, he recorded some solo piano tracks after a series of improvisational recordings, which he released in short bursts: 'Burning Through The Ground' and 'A Suspended Moment' (a two track EP which also included 'My Hand Lovingly Caressed Her Face, She Awoke Softly And Fixed Her Gaze Upon Mine').

Feb. 28, 2025 - He releases two versions of the song “Together”, one of which was recorded in a train station while waiting for departure time. In the studio, he added powerful strings, giving this track two very different worlds, as two people can be to each other.

'Music For Mass' (July 2025) is a 5-tracks EP without piano but strings and Church Organ ; 'The Chrysalis Awakes' (Aug. 2025), a live improvised version of a song played during his concert at Piano Revenge Festival, 1st Edition, in Paris in June 2025.

After a collaboration with the piano neo-classical label AD21 and its compilation 'Autumn Sketches, Vol.1' of original piano works - 'Promises' composed by Matt - Matt released 'Playing with Light' EP and then, 'Winter Movement'.

'Winter Movement' was recorded a year ago in the French Alps while it was snowing. But the timing wasn’t right to release it as spring was already approaching. This EP isn’t sad, but it invites the kind of introspection that snowy mountains inspire.

New Single Doomcrusher

German metalcore force Doomcrusher continue their ascent with the release of their brand-new single "Odyssey." Forged in an atmosphere shaped by uncertainty and upheaval, the project was created with a clear purpose: To push against stagnation and channel heaviness into something powerful, focused, and forward-moving.

Founded by Andy Posdziech (Any Given Day) alongside Jean Bormann (Rage), Marv Kinkel, and Rob Lee, Doomcrusher combine stomping, heavy mid-tempo industrial riffs with uncompromising guttural vocals that resolve into expansive, uplifting hooks. Layered electronic elements add depth and tension, creating a modern metalcore sound that feels both massive and controlled while staying firmly rooted in metal's foundations.

With "Odyssey," Doomcrusher take their next decisive step, expanding their sonic scope while maintaining the crushing intensity that has defined the project from the start. Following the strong response to their first releases"Breakout," "Reflect," and "Adrenaline," featuring Any Given Day, the band has already surpassed 1.2 million streams worldwide with only three singles — a remarkable foundation for a project still in its early stages.

Driven by a clear artistic vision and an uncompromising approach, Doomcrusher are not simply adding another chapter to their story with "Odyssey" — they are continuing a deliberate exploration of modern heavy music, proving that intensity, atmosphere, and ambition can co-exist at full force.

Out Now from Aunt Cynthia's Cabin!

The San Diego, CA, based psychedelic desert rock trio AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN, are preparing to celebrate their 2020 debut full-length album Misty Woman with a re-release containing a new bonus track. Recorded in the midst of the sun-scorched landscape in Austin, TX, at Electric Deluxe Recorders with Grammy-award winning producer Adrian Quesada, Misty Woman contains the influence of this impressive environment. The album will arrive on cyan and magenta vinyl, as well as on CD, via Black Throne Productions on December 19th, 2025.

"Kennel and the Dog" gently introduces the album with contrasting brighter guitar leads and grounding bass tones, before building into a fuzz-fueled powerhouse. There's a subtle underlying touch of shadow beneath the brightness of the psychedelic rock sound with doom influences. Found within are moments of catchiness, intriguing progressions and full immersion. "Which One Is the Jellyfish?" drifts away from the desert and down into the echoey depths as the prominent bass tones bring to life this watery world. A touch of drama carries through the enticing arrangement in which steadfast rhythms are interrupted with flourishes of keys, guitar licks and other sonic explosions. Seeing the overdrive turned up way past 11, this instrumental offering is characterful in its world building.

The enticing seductive mood of "Misty Woman" is brought to life with a slow tempo, a more minimalist arrangement placing the focus on Brennan Justice's lead vocals. The playful layering of instrumental components sees the track ebb and flow, gently teasing. Gradually building into a full inviting sound, "Rider in the Desert Sun (Pt I)" sees a multitude of tones and textures manifest throughout it's journey. The presence of additional organ layers reveals a 'feel good' vibe in this instrumental track. Hidden further within, a heavier rock section reveals further stylistic influences in the band's sound. "Rider in the Desert Sun (Pt II)" follows on from it's brighter first half with a dustier, more raucous rock 'n' roll spirit. This guitar driven track brings memorable hooks in the lead vocal melody supported with fuzzy distortion laden chord progressions beneath.

A sense of drama and adventure is prevalent from the off. "In the Valley"'s steadfast percussion hits contrast the bright tones of the guitar strums and notes that float above. There's an uplifting and comforting feel to this expansive and immersive instrumental offering. "There’s No Saving Cass" returns from the wild expanse of the valley into the Western plains. Subtle bass grounds the track while the lead guitar and lead vocal line entwine, rising and falling together. Reaching it's full arrangement, this charismatic track delves into the heart of the band's psychedelic rock style. "Grains of Sand", an interlude piece, briefly diverts in mood and feel. Acoustic guitar arrangement contribute to the track's melancholy feel that reverberates through a slow tempo and contemplative progressions.

The intensity of "Black and Blue" hits instantly. The high octant feel and movement of the track's rhythms is instantly alluring. Dynamically, it ebbs and flows between brief moments of reflection and full on vigorous impact. Taken from the Miramar Sessions, the bonus track "Magic Touch" offers a more intimate feel of AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN's sound.

About AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN:
AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN is comprised of San Diego’s Brennan Justice (guitar, lead vocals), Anthony DeFreitas (bass, vocals) and Jeremy Luvaas (drums, percussion). Beginning as a duo, Justice and DeFreitas' previous time in a surf rock ensemble saw the pair develop their signature western tones with an excessive use of spring reverb, translating now to the ethereal, dusty sound of psychedelic desert-rock. The band’s name is born from a fictional 1970s murder mystery novel dreamt up by the trio on a drunken night, capturing their embrace of “strange and heavy”, aptly fitting of the uncanny elements entwined in their sound. AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN produce an neo-psychedelic sound that carries an eerie quality. The sonic atmosphere envelopes with nostalgia.

The trio began as a self-recording band with a home-brew analog-meets-digital rig set up. The DIY approach was left behind in 2019 when the outfit ventured from their hometown of San Diego, CA to Austin, TX to record Misty Woman in a studio they felt would best fit the vibe of their new compositions. Working with producer Adrian Quesada (The Black Pumas, 7-time Grammy-nominee) at Electric Deluxe Recorders, the very sun-beaten landscape that surrounds the studio fed into the quality and mood of the recordings.

Initially released by Nasoni Records in February of 2020, the enthralling textures and captivating character of AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN's Misty Woman returns including the new track "Magic Touch", on vinyl and CD via Black Throne Productions on December 19th, 2025.

AUNT CYNTHIA'S CABIN is:
Brennan Justice (guitar, lead vocals)
Anthony DeFreitas (bass, vocals)
Jeremy Luvaas (drums, percussion)
