LANIE GARDNER UNVEILS POWERFUL TITLE TRACK "FADED POLAROIDS" FOLLOWING HER GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT THIS WEEK

Named a 2025 Artist to Watch by the Recording Academy, Lanie Gardner wraps a milestone week with her Grand Ole Opry debut and the release of “Faded Polaroids,” the title track from her upcoming sophomore album, due September 5 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Listen below.

The bold, deeply personal track is fueled by distorted indie-pop and commanding vocals. Gardner flips through snapshots, some crisp, others nicotine-stained and weathered by time, mapping where she’s been and who she’s becoming.

“‘Faded Polaroids’ is the heart of the album,” Gardner shares. “The idea came from going through a box of old photos. How I experience life today is because of those moments,” she explains. “The biggest thing I’ve learned is how important it is to remember. The simple things make you happy, and to understand that, you have to search for yourself.”

Faded Polaroids, produced by Oscar Charles, Jonathan Singleton, Chris Ganoudis, and Don Miggs, expands on the raw honesty of Gardner’s 2024 debut A Songwriter’s Diary. The album offers a sonic scrapbook of self-discovery, family roots, romantic twists, and personal healing. Across 18 tracks, Gardner blends country storytelling with indie-rock grit, small-town pop, and boundary-free emotion, delivering a sound that’s uniquely her own.

Born and raised in the tiny Appalachian town of Burnsville, NC, Gardner grew up in a family of natural musicians, learning to sing from her mother and play guitar from her father. A loner-turned-artist with a gift for turning diary entries into cathartic anthems, she eventually left home for Nashville to chase the Grand Ole Opry dream of her late grandfather, a dream that came full circle with her debut earlier this week.

GLENN HUGHES, a native of Cannock, England, absorbed all kinds of influences, including early British hard rock, The Beatles, and, most importantly, American soul and R&B. The sleek Motown sound from Detroit and the gritty Stax/Volt sound from Memphis also left their mark on him.

GLENN HUGHES first found success in the early '70s with the band Trapeze, before joining Deep Purple in 1973 during a pivotal lineup change that introduced him and David Coverdaleto the group. Despite initial skepticism, the revamped band silenced critics with the release of‘Burn’ (1974), a powerful album that revitalized Purple’s sound and remains a classic.

During this era, the band headlined the iconic California Jam in front of over 300,000 fans, toured the world aboard their private jet, The Starship, and released two more studio albums, ‘Stormbringer’ and ‘Come Taste The Band,’ before disbanding in 1976.

GLENN's first solo album, ‘Play Me Out,’ was released in 1977. He joined former Pat Traversguitarist Pat Thrall to form Hughes/Thrall, which released an acclaimed self-titled album in 1982. Throughout the '80s and '90s, GLENN HUGHES made countless guest appearances (both credited and un-credited) as a vocalist, bass guitarist or songwriter on other artists' albums. The endless list includes, among others, Gary Moore, John Norum, and Tony Iommiof Black Sabbath.

Since 1992, GLENN has started a prolific solo career with a dozen studio albums where he explored all the different sides of his songwriting and influences: from hard rock to funk and more contemporary sounds. He collaborated – among others – with such musicians as Chad Smith, Dave Navarro, John Frusciante, and many others.

HUGHES also founded, or took part in, some amazing musical alliances such as California Breed (with Jason Bonham and Andrew Watt), Black Country Communion (with Joe Bonamassa) and The Dead Daisies.

GLENN recently collaborated with Robbie Williams on his new single “Rocket,” which was released on May 22nd, 2025. The track also features a collaboration from Tony Iommi and will be the first time GLENN has been featured on a record with Tony since 2005, when they released “Fused” together.

GLENN HUGHES has also recently joined forces with Satch Vai, a new collaboration by legendary guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, by writing and singing on their new single “I Wanna Play My Guitar.”

CRYSTAL LAKE Unleashes “Crossing Nails” + Announces New Album for January 2026

Japanese metalcore force CRYSTAL LAKE has returned with their newest single “Crossing Nails," which marks the band's first release this year and the second single since signing globally to Century Media Records last year in May.

Currently tearing through Europe on a string of festival appearances and exclusive headliner shows, “Crossing Nails” delivers a blistering nu-metal anthem. The single comes not just with a striking visualizer, but also along with the band’s album announcement for January 2026. The yet-unnamed record will be CRYSTAL LAKE’s first album release since 'Helix,' released back in 2019. Fans and new audiences alike can expect more announcements regarding the album to follow in the upcoming months, alongside new music by the quintet.

"With this track, we’ve kept the heaviness that’s always been core to our sound, but brought the straight, speedy riff work to the forefront and wrapped the whole song in a more catchy structure. We also experimented with rhythmic and groove elements that haven’t really appeared in CRYSTAL LAKE’s music before, allowing us to explore a new kind of expression. By blending parts of my personal musical background into the song in a playful way, I think we managed to mix that classic hardcore and metal vibe in a fresh and exciting form.

CRYSTAL LAKE has been touring extensively throughout the year, with their latest stops happening in Europe as part of their summer headline shows for this year. The band will continue their European run in August with a total of 6 headliner shows in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The band will be joined by Angelmaker. 

CRYSTAL LAKE has won over fans worldwide with an unequalled live show and an infectious brand of metalcore that weaves together tight riffs, gleaming production, and screaming melodies along with guttural and impassioned vocals that both roar and soar. Eli Young Band’s New Album, ‘Strange Hours,’ Out Now

18x RIAA-certified country hitmakers Eli Young Band launch a new era with Strange Hours, out now. As the band’s first independently released album via UnLevel Records and their first full-album release in over three years, Eli Young Band shares why they keep Strange Hours. Strange Hours comprises 13 songs, all co-written as a band or with long-trusted collaborators, and introduces a new chapter driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, from a band of brothers who grew from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers still very much in their prime. Eric Arjes and Jimmy Robbins produced 12 of the 13 tracks, while “Bad Luck” was produced by Julian Raymond and Scott Borchetta. 

“We started this thing when we were like 20 years old, and it’s been such a crazy road and such a longer road than any of us could have conceptualized at the time,” says bassist Jon Jones. “I think right now feels a little full circle, in a really nice way.”
 
Seeking both a fresh start and a return to their roots with this project, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson sought out Panhandle House Studio in their hometown of Denton, Texas – the birthplace of the college friends-turned-bandmates’ 2005 debut album Level, which spawned fan-favorites such as “Small Town Kid” and set the stage for the numerous hits that have followed in the 20 years since.
 
“Now, we get to step back into our Texas shoes,” vocalist Eli agrees. “I think this new stuff finds us reaching deep into our past as a band. We’re remembering where the magic was – all those songs we wanted to record for our Level record, that felt way too edgy for Country Radio at the time.”
 
For the band, being independent again for the first time in years isn’t a challenge, it’s a reward – and they took the chance to embrace not just renewed creative freedom, but the fun of their self contained live-band philosophy. 
 
“Going back to Panhandle House where we recorded Level, it feels like we got to remind ourselves why we started making the kind of music we make,” Eli says. “When this music comes out, I think fans will know it is 100% coming from us.”
 
“Honestly, going to Panhandle House feels like going back to your childhood home in a way,” Jones notes. “It just evokes these memories, like this slightly-younger version of ourselves comes out.”
 
“One thing that’s really special is we’ve come full circle and remember that energy, but we’re also older and wiser,” drummer Thompson adds. “We have years of studio, songwriting and performing experience under our belt, so we have more of a honed edge going in. That’s a really cool advantage.”
 
The comfort level is plainly evident. Exploring new corners of their patented sound by day, and going home to their families each night, the band members were free to bring every ounce of the last 25 years to bear. Tracks like the lead single “Home In Hometown” are proof, featuring all the elements that made EYB what it is – from the electric vocal delivery to the deeply textured sonics and soulful theme.
 
A true-to-experience ballad of life on the highway, “Home In Hometown” stands as a heart-on-their-sleeve tribute to those the band loves most – and what they’ve learned from 20+ years away. While atmospheric guitars and a steady rhythmic pulse capture a sense of anticipation, another euphoric chorus helps the band unpack what “home” really means.
 
“I was digging deep into our Texas roots,” Eli says of the modern-classic midtempo. “I wanted to write something that felt like Pat Green or Jack Ingram would cut. And when you travel like we do, a lot of times you’re thinking about coming home and being with your family – but, it’s almost like if they meet you on the road, anywhere can be home. It just feels right. I wanted to capture that.”
 
Strange Hours also includes a head-nodding, foot-tapping feature from Corey Kent in “Whiskey Told Ya” as Kent delivers humorous lyrics with raspy vocals throughout the track that lyricizes the story of when alcohol meets honesty:

From feel-good singalongs and heart melting wedding anthems to pure, untamable romance and clever comebacks of love, they show the same stage-rocking Texas-country hit makers fans know and love, undaunted and with new maturity baked in.
 
“It’s been a blessing just to be able to do this for so long, and over our career we’ve seen a lot of bands come and go,” guitarist Young says. “This feels like family, and we can take that with us as we go down this next part of the road.”
 
“Our music, since it’s been the four of us making it from day one, has such a strong through line,” Jones agrees. “The way we sounded in the beginning, that’s the way we’re going to sound in the end.”
 
As the ACM Award-winning and CMA and GRAMMY-nominated band unveils their newest project, they also continue on a celebratory road journey with their headlining Strange Hours Tour, underway now. I wasn’t gonna reload, rewind, or relive any of it. 'Sharpshooter' is just me finally saying—you weren’t worth my time then, you’re certainly not worth my future now."

As a teenager growing up in Australia, there’s likely very few others out there with ambitions of being a “rock star.” Especially considering rock music isn’t exactly regarded by the mainstream as the “coolest” thing in the 2020’s. However, 22 year old CASSIDY PARIS is an exception.

CASSIDY is determined to make rock music a ‘cool’ thing again and inspire a new generation of younger fans to not only listen to rock ‘n’ roll, but maybe even pick up a guitar, instead of a phone.

At the age of 11, CASSIDY met singer songwriter Paul Laine (ex Danger Danger, The Defiants), who developed a unique mentoring role. Paul took CASSIDY under his wing to help develop her as an artist and songwriter, collaborating with her in songwriting and producing her music.

From early on, CASSIDY has wanted to deliver a strong message through her music. In 2018 she released the song “Stand,” a heartfelt song about standing up for yourself as a young woman.

CASSIDY continues to deliver that message, promoting anti-bullying through performances at many schools around Melbourne, Australia and is an active campaigner for the worldwide ‘Metalheads Against Bullying’ organization. CASSIDY has also built up a strong connection with her growing worldwide fanbase that has already seen her perform in America, Japan and the UK with the band.

CASSIDY PARIS released her debut full length album titled ‘New Sensation’ in December 2023 to critical acclaim. “My debut album is 80s infused, mixed with a current vibe. Influenced by Rock Gods such as Debbie Harry, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett & Lita Ford, I'm keen to put my spin on things in a modern original way”, she declared.

CASSIDY PARIS recently embarked on a European Tour where she supported AOR legends Harem Scarem in April 2025. Speaking about the new single, Sainthood Reps vocalist and guitarist Cesco Montesanto shares, "This is the last song we wrote for the record, and it almost didn't make it. It started out much heavier, but then drifted into Gin Blossoms/Nada Surf territory. A lot of my lyrics revolve around anxiety in some way, and this song is no different. Specifically, it’s about the anxiety I get when I try to open my mouth to talk to anybody about anything whatsoever."

“Everything in the universe is connected, and what looks like infinite stars could in reality be moments, hearts, and choices,” explains Gerstner.
 
"Universe (Gravity For Hearts)" opens with spacey guitar work and Michael Kiske’s signature high-pitched yet deeply soulful vocals, just before a thunderstorm of guitars, bass, and drums launches the 8.5-minute epic into full motion. It’s a high-speed musical escape from everyday life, crafted in the unmistakable style only the German metal legends can deliver.
 
Breathing room is a rare commodity in HELLOWEEN’s world, and their new track is no exception. With relentless drumming, intergalactic guitar tapping, and a jaw-dropping solo section, "Universe (Gravity For Hearts)" confidently joins the ranks of iconic long-form tracks like "Halloween,’" "Keeper Of The Seven Keys," and 2021’s "Skyfall."

HELLOWEEN will celebrate four decades of metal mastery with a global 40th anniversary tour. The European leg begins in mid-October, with initial dates selling out quickly and additional shows in Madrid and Bochum already on sale. Featuring an ultimate set list packed with surprises, the tour will showcase the band’s unparalleled legacy and ongoing creative power.
 
Giants & Monsters pushes the boundaries of HELLOWEEN’s sound, thanks to the instincts of producers Charlie Bauerfeind and Dennis Ward, as well as the band’s relentless pursuit of excellence. Per example, drummer Dani Löble recorded all tracks using three different drum kits to capture the perfect vibe for each song, a testament to their attention to detail and love of experimentation.
 
The band’s chemistry continues to drive their success. “What keeps motivating us is the fact that we’re extremely different. It generates creative energy,” says guitarist Michael Weikath. Kai Hansen adds: “We try not to take ourselves and everything around us too seriously.” Deris sums it up: “In the end, we’re just seven guys who want to make music and enjoy the incomparable force that arises when we’re together. HELLOWEEN is way more powerful than the sum of its parts.”

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL Unveils "Woodlands"

Dark fantasy infused symphonic death metal is the offering from CHRONICLER OF ARDUL. In the new single "Woodlands", composer and project mastermind David Williams extends an invitation to venture into a magical, orchestral led soundscape. "Delving deeper into the world of Ardul, 'Woodlands' captures the experience of wandering into the forest. Dark and mysterious, beautiful, and yet not comforting. There are dangers lurking in the shadows. Nature is unforgiving."

David Williams continues, "My next album will expand on the world already established by the symphonic death metal releases of Myrewood and Sword of Virné, as well as the short stories detailing further the events of the Myrewood's corruption. It will draw inspiration from countless video games and movies that had amazing music bring their worlds to life, such as Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Lord of the Rings, and Octopath Traveler."

About CHRONICLER OF ARDUL:
CHRONICLER OF ARDUL was started as a passion project by David Williams when he wanted to combine his love of metal music and dark fantasy to tell a story that spanned over songs and albums. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he puts his skills to the test to create the music for a story he had been working on for 9 years. The debut EP called Myrewood released late 2023, with its written short story partner, Myrewood Part 1, published in May 2024. The following EP, Sword Of Virné arrived in the summer of 2024. Musically, CHRONICLER OF ARDUL draws from the likes of SHADOW OF INTENT and MENTAL CRUELTY in the metal world, while also taking inspiration from Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu.

"Well, we love ACCEPT,” states the band. “And songs like this one show our love for their characteristic straightforward riffing. Almost in every album of ours, we have a song of that type. Never the same, yet the influence and inspiration is there. What can we do? We love that groovy metal! The lyrics are actually inspired by the movie “Munich” and the life of spies, plus the continuing moral dilemmas occurring through their decisions and acts.”
