HEIDEVOLK Release Brand New Music Video for “Drink met de Goden (Walhalla)”🎶

Five years since the release of their much-acclaimed album, 'VUUR VAN VERZET', February 24, 2023 will see Dutch pagan folk metal band HEIDEVOLK return with their seventh studio album, 'WEDERKEER', via Napalm Records.

Following previously-released first album single, Klauwen Vooruit, today, the band has premiered a brand new music video for the epic track "Drink met de Goden (Walhalla)" - inviting listeners on a folkloric adventure of myths, gods and legends!

The band says:

Today we proudly present our second music video from 'WEDERKEER'. The song, “Drink met de Goden (Walhalla)”, takes us on a journey through the life of an ambitious warrior. Only young of age, he inherits his father’s sword and sets out to conquer the world, finding pleasure in feasting and fighting. When he gets older, he settles down on his father’s land and realizes there is more to life than battle and bars. He finds fulfillment with his kith and kin, whom he will protect… with his life!

With still two months to go until the release of 'WEDERKEER', we’re gearing up for the live shows. We have added three more release shows to the release weekend and confirmed several festivals. Join us, for the Pagan Metal Brotherhood is on the rise”

Watch the new HEIDEVOLK video for “ Drink met de Goden (Walhalla)”

Since the release of their impressive 2005 debut, 'De strijdlust is geboren', HEIDEVOLK has taken the heavy music scene by storm, conquering stages throughout the world with their very own brand of folk metal. With dual clean vocals, irresistibly catchy songs, traditional instruments and fast metal riffing all fueled by their folkloric fire and pagan pride, HEIDEVOLK delivers an uncompromising sound and musical adventure.

Their new masterpiece, 'WEDERKEER', makes no exception, and proves why the Arnhem-based six-piece is one of the best, unrivaled and most exciting bands of their genre and beyond!

In a world of myths, nature and legends of the Veluwe, Netherlands, the concept album – based on the interpretations of the runes – is a powerful odyssey of the Self, deeply rooted in metal and folklore. 'WEDERKEER' (meaning to “return” or “revive”) invites the listener to take a step back from the incessant barrage of media and stimuli and look inside, find out who we are, what is driving us, what our values are, and what we’ve learned from life up until now.

The album was recorded at Sandlane Recording Facilities, mixed by Joost van den Broek and mastered by Darius van Helfteren. 'WEDERKEER' once again proves that HEIDEVOLK knows how to perfectly release proud hymns and direct, in-your-face metal songs, and the addition of broad choirs, various folk musicians, on vocals, violins, cello, bukkehorns and more traditional medieval instruments make 'WEDERKEER' not only a bombastic folk and pagan metal record at its best, but a glorious album return of HEIDEVOLK!

FOSCOR Covers The Cure's "This Twilight Garden"

Catalan atmospheric metal band FOSCOR a Catalan atmospheric metal band FOSCOR is now sharing a beautiful new cover for the song 'This Twilight Garden', originally created by THE CURE for their 1992’s 9th album “Wish”, as B-side for its first single published 'High'.

The cover celebrates the 30th anniversary of another iconic album of the 90s and a key band for the development of all dark sounds. Probably the best love song Robert Smith has ever written. Listen to the dark version of the song below.

The band comments on the cover:

"For some reason, this love song resounds in my heart since I heard and read its content decades ago... Its foggy ambience, subtle care of the details and sweet description of the acts, perfectly match with the way we have always conceived music in Foscor. Even more during these last years since 'Les Irreals Visions' conception, and our creative future was chosen.

"Indeed, I consider this my favourite The Cure song, and always wondered how could only be featured as a B-Side of that album, without the fair recognition I felt it deserved... At the end, this is a song all The Cure fans know and value for its beauty, which now we try to translate once again into our language and celebrate as the milestone it is. The gross visual connection chosen for the visualizer has obviously nothing to do with the lyric content...but sets and shows a trace of things to come...our next album.

"Love in capital letters as an act of closure of our trilogy. At the end, we all love the beauty of darkness and the tragic world we live in. 30 years mean too much time for too much things, but is worth celebrating when the purest emotions are involved in a song and band like The Cure. Once again, we hope you enjoy and share the celebration! To all of us, and for many more years of tragic darkness..."

All FOSCOR albums and merch can be ordered HERE.

The Catalans return with the second chapter of the trilogy initiated with “Les Irreals Visions” in 2017, yet strongly connected to the fin de siècle cultural movement of Modernisme - a parallel development to Art Nouveau and Jugendstil among others. Visual things must acquire a new secret appearance, and with ‘Els Sepulcres Blancs’ FOSCOR treats poetically how facing a change of a sick world and society through the land of dreams.

The title translates as “The White Tombs”, a metaphor for that world of dreams and expectations where humans chained to reality may die and born free to imagine a better one.

FOSCOR hail from Catalonia, and take inspiration from the morbid, decadent, and sick reflections on a rapidly changing society, as the artistic landscape at the end of the nineteenth century shaped.

The name FOSCOR translates as "darkness" in their native Catalan tongue, which the band from Barcelona uses for their lyrics as a distinctive element and strong connection with their cultural reality.

The Catalans’ first two albums, 'Entrance to the Shadows' Village' (2004), 'The Smile of the Sad Ones' (2007) wrapped a shroud of classic second wave black metal around a melancholic yet vital core. 'Groans to the Guilty' (2009) witnessed FOSCOR setting out towards more progressive and avant-garde course, but it was next full-length 'Those Horrors Wither' (2014) which marked a clear departure from the black metal. Darkness found an equally strong expression through the use of very personal clean vocals, tempo reduction and atmosphere.

In 2017, FOSCOR took another step in their constantly changing and shifting evolution. The brand new release 'Les Irreals Visions' (2017) was easily drawing its eager audience in, only to lure the unwary listener into a dark labyrinth of unexpected complexity filled with beauty and sorrow. In 2018, FOSCOR explored these lines between reality, poetry and the beyond even further with a special digital release transforming their own music into a so intimate experience; 'Les Irreals Versions' (2018).

Now, 2019 promises to be as tragic as their music claims with the so sensitive release of 'Els Sepulcres Blancs', its characteristic melancholic sonic aura and catchy riffing intensity. Their most personal and delicate sound achievement to date.

Dalton Dover Closes Out Pivotal Year as an Artist to Watch in 2023 with New Music on the Horizon

Photo Credit: Grand Ole Opry / Chris Hollo

Rising country newcomer Dalton Dover continues to earn accolades and benchmarks among a series of milestones in a pivotal year as Pandora names him a 2023 Artist to Watch while CMT welcomes him as a member of their 2023 LISTEN UP class.

Earlier this month, Dover made his Grand Ole Opry debut with a performance of two new songs, “Giving Up On That” and “Dirt Roads And Jesus,” the latter being the first single he will release in 2023 via Universal Music Group Nashville/Mercury Records, who he signed with earlier this year.

“I never thought in a million years that I’d be standing right here in this circle,” Dover shared on stage. “I brought my family last year, and we walked through on the tour here at the Opry. Little did I know that a year later, I'd be making my Opry debut. It's pretty special to say the least.”

In August, Dover was on the final night of his Ole Red residency, performing across the Nashville, Gatlinburg and Orlando locations, when legendary country artist Blake Shelton dialed in on the red phone at Ole Red Nashville and interrupted Dover’s set with an invitation to make his Grand Ole Opry debut. He tearfully accepted, replying, “I’ll be there, I promise.”

His debut invitation was a full circle moment for Dover, as Shelton marked one of the first milestones in his career on Season 16 of “The Voice,” where the Georgia native earned a chair turn from the coach for his performance of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.”

After being named a 2022 Spotify Artist to Watch, he released “Hear About A Girl,” earning praise from Billboard noting, “Dover’s voice is both intimate and commanding on this track,” while MusicRow asserts it confirms “we’re in the presence of a master country talent when this man sings…Make him a star. Now.” He followed the song with “Damn Good Life,” with The Boot sharing, “Dover is savoring every moment in his uplifting new single,” while Country Now observes, “Between the optimistic narrative that Dover delivers through his crisp vocals and the carefree tune highlighted by the impressive guitar strum, nothing but a good time can be had when this song comes through the speakers.”

Dover has honed his captivating live show with two performances at CMA Fest, opening for Luke Comb’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium show in Atlanta, Ga. and joining Priscilla Block’s Welcome To The Block Party Tour. In 2023, he prepares to make his international debut in March at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour in April.

In addition to a deal with UMG Nashville, Dover has signed with Sony Music Publishing in partnership with Droptine Music Publishing along with United Talent Agency.

About Dalton Dover
Lauded by MusicRow as a “master country talent,” twenty-three-year-old Dalton Dover first started singing at church as a kid, winning his fifth-grade school talent show performing Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” In that moment Dover’s love of performing was born. By the age of 16 he had picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play, yet it was his grandfather who turned him on to country music and artists such as Keith Whitley, Rhett Akins, Joe Diffie and Steve Wariner. Performances at local bars soon followed along with sharing covers of some of his favorite songs on TikTok. It was there he caught the ear of producer Matt McV and A&R veteran and founder of Droptine, Jim Catino, who quickly signed Dover. His debut track “You Got a Small Town,” produced by McV, quickly garnered critical acclaim from Billboard, MusicRow, Country Now and Wide Open Country. With his debut and his follow-up “Baby I Am” earning notable playlisting, Dover was named a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch along with a spotlight as Billboard’s February Country Rookie of the Month and a nod for MusicRow’s 2022 Discovery Artist of the Year. Dover’s latest release “Damn Good Life” is available now. After opening for Luke Comb’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium show in Atlanta, Ga. this summer, Dover set out on a seven-date run of his own headlining shows, performing across multiple locations of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red. Dover recently wrapped Priscilla Block’s Welcome To The Block Party Tour in the fall, followed by his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. Dover was named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch and is a member of CMT’s 2023 LISTEN UP Class. Recently signing with UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, Dover will release more new music in 2023. Greek metal titans ROTTING CHRIST are now announcing a North American headliner with support from label-mates CARACH ANGREN and GAEREA as well as Eisenwald artist UADA! The "Under Our Black Cult" trek will kick off on February 16 in Houston, TX and will lay waste to the nation until the final curtain draws on March 14 in Orlando, FL! The full itinerary, ticket links, and information on the bands can be found below!

Prior to the tour, ROTTING CHRIST will be performing two pummeling sets on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, including a very special anniversary set for their seminal album, 'Thy Mighty Contract.' The ship sets sail from Miami on January 30 and will return to port on February 3!

ROTTING CHRIST have reached another peak in their long career that now spans over more than three decades. The Greeks have literally stood the test of time. With a steady core line-up and their well-honed live delivery, ROTTING CHRIST are filling concert halls and reap enthusiastic crowd reactions wherever they go. This demonstration of love from their followers is not just driven by nostalgia as the band has managed to evolve and grow, while staying relevant beyond the classics with their highly acclaimed latest albums such as 'Aealo' (2010), 'Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού’ (2013), and 'Rituals' (2016).

Now, with the new offering 'The Heretics', ROTTING CHRIST are opening a brand new chapter. With confidence and skills derived from experience, each song represents its own sonic universe. Guitarist and vocalist Sakis Tolis in collaboration with his brother Themis on drums achieve a perfect balance of amalgamating their classic and unique style of riffing and rhythm with exciting new elements sprinkled in to keep their material exciting and fresh. The experienced is enhanced by Jens Bogren's equally clear and transparent yet also massive as well as sombre mix and mastering at his widely renowned Fascination Street Studios (AMORPHIS, BORKNAGAR, MOONSPELL, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and many more).

ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from 'Non Serviam' (1994) to 'Sanctus Diavolos' (2004), ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, 'Theogonia' (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe led to ROTTING CHRIST's massively successful latest release, 'Rituals' (2016). With more than 30 years, 13 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, 2018 marked the year of 'Their Greatest Spells' (2018), where they musically revisited their exciting legacy to connect their past with the present.

'The Heretics' marks another step in the evolution of the Greek masters. Buckle up for a fascinating musical ride through the woes of religious wars, Zoroastrianism and the eternal war between good and evil.  Metal at its best!

The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus', CARACH ANGREN resurrect the gruesome story of troubled soul ‘Conrad Dippel’; the inspiration of Mary Shelly’s novel 'Frankenstein'.

CARACH ANGREN have extended all the sonic colours on their established palette to dazzling effect. Their trademark whipping guitars are weaving harsh melodies and sinister soundscapes, which are beautifully contrasted by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. That Till Lindemann (RAMMSTEIN) and Peter Tägtgren (PAIN) have called upon the composition talent of Clemens "Ardek" Wijers is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft. Another signatory counterpoint is provided by Seregor's fierce rasping and shrieking vocals. Adding to the impact, Namtar has become a relentless driving force with his hart hitting yet intricate drumming. Each track on this album is a highlight on its own, while combined 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus ' simply shines.

CARACH ANGREN set out to tell ghost-stories with a set of paranormal cases recorded on the demo 'The Chase Vault Tragedy' (2004). This was soon followed by the official release of the 'Ethereal Veiled Existence' EP (2005) as a prelude to the haunting 'Lammendam' (2008). The Dutch had a clear vision of combining a dark baroque style of metal with horror based lyrical concepts. Their sophomore full-length 'Death Came through a Phantom Ship' (2010) witnessed the band setting sail to bring their eccentric and capturing live performances to audiences and festivals all over Europe. In the wake of third album 'Where the Corpses Sink Forever' (2012), the haunting had reached the Americas and started to spread rapidly. This record added a serious side to the lyrics of CARACH ANGREN. While firmly remaining in the horror genre, their tales revolve around the evils of war. This mature streak was taken a step further with the fourth full-length 'This Is No Fairytale', which is on the surface a darker variation of the "Hansel and Gretel" story from the Brothers Grimm collection, but also deals with the too real topic of child abuse in a dysfunctional family. With ‘Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten’ (2017), the band returned to pure story telling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board.

Now, CARACH ANGREN return with the monster ‘Franckensteina Strataemontanus’, where the Dutch have pushed their unashamedly theatrical style to a new intense height. You do not believe us yet? Press play and have your soul transferred with this new elixir of life!

Behind black shrouds of obscurity and desolation, the men of GAEREA deliver their odes in cascading maelstroms of aggression and beauty. Emerging from the age of pandemic to whatever awaits humanity next, the Portuguese horde remains on the frontlines of the next generation of extreme metal. With an EP and two albums to their name, GAEREA has rapidly distinguished themselves from the thousands of bands toiling away in the underground. Brewing their cauldron of sound from a recipe of pounding black-metal blast mixed with a touch of harrowed, reflective longing, many devotees of the darkened arts have flocked to their banner. With the emergence of third full-length album Mirage, those numbers are sure to grow.

Underground metal itself is a strange and cyclical beast. Trends come and trends go. But at no point in the genre’s history have we borne witness to what happened to the world in 2020. GAEREA met this challenge by releasing their second album, the aptly titled Limbo, to excellent world reception. In the meantime, they found the total suspension of interactive life as it was previously known to be the perfect breeding ground for further creation and making. As the troupe’s main songwriter elaborates, “I lost two precious years of my life, years that I would rather have spent touring and growing as an artist. But they were crucial for us, these years, because not too many bands stayed relevant and productive. The pandemic gave us the time to make the best release we could. All the promo-shoots, interviews, videos, we all had time to prepare for everything. Mirage was the product of a sudden inspiration. The basic parts were written over about two weeks.”

Such a stunning admission goes to show that art is fickle, and the artist is merely a vessel through which the sweet sorcery we call music may flow. It can mute itself to frustrating silence – or it can explode into being regardless of all consideration. For this band on the rise, it is most certainly the latter. Sizzling with ambition from day one, GAEREA may present one unique face to their audience, masked and enshrouded, but the truth is they have not remained changeless. “We are not the same band who recorded Limbo,” he insists. “We are more eager to take on the world. If the pandemic taught us anything it is that nothing is certain.”

This lack of certainty plays heavily into newest creation Mirage. As its name suggests, the inability to trust what our senses are telling us could be construed as one of the album’s central themes. Rather than constrict their art to mythological references or anti-religious tropes, GAEREA instead plumb the depths of the human experiences of isolation and suffering. “The concept, the subject, of each song is everyone, you, me . . . if people were alone together in Limbo, in Mirage they are truly alone. Nobody is truly real until they are alone.”

If existential dread could be turned into sound, GAEREA have carved their own philosophical path through its stygian tunnels. It isn’t Satan, demons, death, or even suicide that is waiting for us there. “What if people finally reached their goal,” he posits, “to end their suffering, and instead of dying they find themselves in a new reality, lost in a big city they were once a part of – they don’t know if anyone else is still alive. They are alone inside their own world.” This theme of being alone in a world full of familiar scenes, unable to end things and unable to reach anyone else, might well terrify the listener more effectively than any glimpse into the imagined hellscapes of our nightmares. Being isolated in your own world is the real nightmare, and GAEREA strum the chords of this horror with nuance and a miserable grace.

Boasting a superior production that threads the needle between clarity and causticness, GAEREA unwaveringly admit their loyalty to countryman and producer Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings. “Miguel is fantastic,” enthuses the band’s primary composer. “He comes from a brutal death metal background. I thought if this guy can pull off a punchy, modern, but still authentic production with a slam / death metal band, I wonder what he can do with a band like GAEREA. He has a vision for a sound, and that is what I really like. He is not a black metal fan, but it’s this very external set of ears and eyes from a guy who really knows his craft, and he brings all of that to our sound.” The fruits of this union are quite evident, as the turbulent moods of the title track are so wonderfully tossed between tension-building moments, and the explosive payoffs which set GAEREA apart from so many who try but come up short.

Tormented leads and building riffs sit atop some seriously explosive drumming, waxing and waning, on “Arson,” a tempest of moods and one of the album’s centerpieces. Emotion, at times sounding triumphant in brilliantly wrought guitar leads, is skewered by vocals that bustle with shattering despair. The dichotomy is magnificent to behold. GAEREA’s composer makes no mistake. “I want to hear the throat on the album, and if we are a vocals-driven band, I don’t want to over-process them during the recording. Striking that balance is one of the beauties for me in this record.”

In a world that increasingly elevates the shallow and the narcissistic, GAEREA pursues an artistic struggle of inward isolation, honest self-examination, and a dogged refusal to bow to the void that awaits. Thus, the persistence of their shadowed visages, draped in the masks which codify their anonymity while also creating a reliable extreme metal brand that fans can appreciate, especially in the live setting. “GAEREA are truly ourselves when we put these masks on, and we transcend into something different, and primitive,” he asserts. “It still makes total sense, and this band would not be a band anymore if we ever dropped the masks.”

As GAEREA prepares the release of Mirage, the world has resumed functioning, and as it lurches onward into its bleak future, one could stipulate that the pressure may be on to continue its rise amid the clamor of this renewal of activity. Does this challenge intimidate GAEREA? “We want to do better, but I don’t feel any pressure because we are in very good hands with the people we work with. We are building a strong team that really cares for us, stage-wise, promotional-wise, website and sales-wise. We are building a very structured confident teams that aims for the same goals we do. What I truly care about is continuing our ever-growing concept of the band GAEREA, and not becoming sterile, and I would not want people to be unaffected by our music. In the end we’re trying to express something within ourselves, and I don’t want it to be too complicated.”

The beauty of GAEREA lies in the directness and simplicity found within their florid tapestry of extremity and aggression. Whether it is in the less-polished aural dynamite of their self-titled EP, or in the lustrous textures of Mirage, GAEREA is building a mighty edifice of underground metal. With talons dipped in the inky blood of black metal and scraped across the flesh of human suffering, GAEREA is leading a charge into the future of darkness, and all those who find beauty and power in the dark side of existence would do well to take heed.

TURMION KÄTILÖT - Release Video For Third Omen X Single "Kuolettavia Vammoja"

TURMION KÄTILÖT are currently out on the road across Europe playing to packed-out arenas in support of fellow Finns NIGHTWISH. Today the absurdist industrial metallers have released a brand new video for their new single "Kuolettavia Vammoja".

Watch the video for "Kuolettavia Vammoja" below.

Pre-order Omen X on various formats now from: https://turmionkatilot.bfan.link/omen-x

MC Raaka Pee comments on the new single "In this song, it’s trauma that introduces itself to the listener, and this is how it sounds when it's given a voice. Heart rates are raised to 135bpm by just the thought of it."

TURMION KÄTILÖT was formed in 2003 in Finland by MC Raaka Pee and Dj Vastapallo. Soon they were joined by the other members of what would become TURMION KÄTILÖT: Master Bates, Run-Q, DQ and Spellgoth as a second vocalist. With a couple of line-up changes as Dj Vastapallo left the band in 2009 replaced by Bobby Undertaker on guitars (ex-Deathchain) and Spellgoth leaving in 2017 replaced by Shag-U (Fear Of Domination) on vocals, TURMION KÄTILÖT has become the mean disco metal machine they are today.

From the very beginning TURMION KÄTILÖT has had a reputation for being a great live band. Disco beats from the 90’s, stomping metal, melodies, sing-a-longs, you name it – there are no rules. Yet still if you peek under the skin you can find the darkness pointing its finger at you. Their live shows have been praised to be the fiercest and craziest mayhem that can be witnessed creating the twisted world of TURMION KÄTILÖT.

TURMION KÄTILÖT is:

Mc Raaka Pee – Vocals
Shag-U – Vocals
Bobby Undertaker – guitars
Master Bates – bass guitar
Run-Q - synthesizers & keyboards
Dq – drums

Da Ruba Girl Hits #1; Chesney Charity Song Honors Ruby

KENNY CHESNEY’S “DA RUBA GIRL” HITS NO. 1

Song to Honor the Life of Its Inspiration, Ruby
Passes the Gift of Love on Through Stray Rescue of St. Louis

Sometimes, out of the greatest pain comes the greatest gifts and deepest healing. After years of requests to put out “Da Ruba Girl,” a fan favorite song that aired on Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio on SiriusXM, the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee decided to honor the passing of the rescued Ruby by making the song available to fans on iTunes and various streaming platforms.

With the proceeds benefitting Stray Rescue of St. Louis, established in 1998 to help and heal the most unwanted dogs, the man the Los Angeles Times called “the People’s Superstar” hoped that her life and the love she gave everyone in her world could help other dogs in critical need have better lives. As he explained to PEOPLE.com of the choice of charity, “they find the dogs people abandon and throw away, who may have been abused or just left somewhere and they heal them, then find them homes where all that love they have can be returned. ”

When the song dropped this morning, Chesney hoped it would have enough success to be able to send the rescue a nice Christmas gift. By noon, “Da Ruba Girl” had hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart, in front of Mariah Carey’s holiday must have “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” plus major hits by Sam Smith & Kim Petras, Morgan Wallen, Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift.

“We’re out here, taking Da Ruba Girl to her favorite places, to scatter her ashes in the places she loved,” Chesney reports. “She loved the ocean, the road, the sunshine, really every little thing... and so, that’s what we’re doing! But when we got the call that ‘Da Ruba Girl’ – this little song I’d written about how much love can be in a rescue dog’s heart that we played on No Shoes Radio because the people in No Shoes Nation loved it so much – had hit No. 1, we couldn’t believe it.

“And yet, especially at this time of year, everyone wants to give a little extra love to the child or dog that nobody wanted, right? To recognize not just how much love they have, but how much love they deserve. For Ruby, all this love seems like the perfect way to send her to heaven!”

As the song offers, “You needed her, she needed you/To hold, to help fill a space
Last in line, last cage at the rescue/Was a love that no one could replace
Lying there like a lost string of pearls/Was Da Ruba Girl...”

Touching a chord inside so many, Southern Living and PEOPLE.com also joined in praising the soft Calypso-leaning song that offers snapshots from a dog’s life as well as a big slice of truth about profound love coming from unlikely places. The talk of morning drive across America’s country stations, the momentum had its own velocity.

“She showed us better ways to be human. Losing her has left a hole there are no words for,” Chesney explained. Today he added, “The power of a love like Ruby’s is it keeps giving back, it brings people and dogs together, and it reminds how special and unconditional a dog’s love is. She loved the sun so much; so many times, we’d be together, watching the sun come up – and we both just knew. What a gift she was – and what a gift she’s creating. Someone even gave an anonymous $10,000 donation to honor Da Ruba Girl, which allows their 60 dedicated staff members, 1,000 volunteers and 400 foster families help provide trauma and vet care to make life good for the animals who come in waiting on their forever humans.”

“Da Ruba Girl,” still available at iTunes as well as on all streaming platforms, has done the unthinkable. With all proceeds from the song being donated to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, this is Ruby’s Christmas gift to her fellow rescues and the humans they’ll rescue.

Additional donations may be made through Stray Rescue of St. Louis’ website: www.strayrescue.org. Please note “In Honor of Da Ruba Girl” – and you can be part of helping other abandoned animals have bright holidays brighter.

About Stray Rescue of St. Louis
What sets Stray Rescue of St. Louis apart in the animal welfare community near and far? We seek out and take in those who no other organization will help or would simply euthanize because they are too expensive to heal. We take the abandoned, beaten, bred, fought, injured, terrified, defeated and betrayed. We see beyond their brokenness and are here to pick up the pieces to make these special animals whole again. We see the individual and know that there’s no “one size fits all” treatment plan. The minute they enter our doors, we look in their eyes and promise them ALL the second chance they deserve for health, home, commitment and love. Because these animals come in with a story that would give us all nightmares, it takes them longer to open up, trust and believe in humankind again. But with patience and time – always on their unique schedule – we see the light shine in their eyes again. Animals have an amazing ability to forgive which never ceases to amaze us.

Founded in 1998, Stray Rescue of St. Louis celebrates their 25 Year Anniversary of saving the underdog, under the leadership of Cassady Caldwell. Learn more at www.strayrescue.org.

...And Oceans Premieres Music Video for New Song, "Within Fire and Crystal"

Symphonic black metal formation ...AND OCEANS is now premiering a brand new single, "Within Fire and Crystal," along with a music video! The song is taken from the band's upcoming full-length album, 'As in Gardens, so in Tombs,' which will be released on January 27, 2023 via Season of Mist. The video can be found below.

...AND OCEANS comments: "A journey through tongues of fire, towards the crystal walls. And to return with the Key from the Observer."

The album can be pre-ordered HERE and pre-saved HERE.

It’s rare for a band to commandingly return with their best effort to date, but Finland’s ...And Oceans are here to prove that 2020’s Cosmic World Mother was the sound of creative floodgates bursting through into a new body of water, an ocean if you will. Well, that was their pinnacle up until their new album, As In Gardens, So In Tombs, is let out into the world. Everything that ...And Oceans’ first full-length in 18 years did well – blistering symphonic black metal, heady themes that dealt with the connection between philosophy and psychics, and ...And Oceans’ trademark adventurous songwriting - As In Gardens, So In Tombs manages to eclipse and recontextualize. It’s the sound of a band seizing every ounce of momentum and upping the ante in every way. While ...And Oceans has never written the same album twice, in many ways, their latest sounds like an opportunity for the Finnish group to pick up and improve upon what they started. Symphonic black metal is never this fun, free, and fantastic.

Lead single “Cloud Heads” is a great introduction into the magic and serves as a statement of intent. Swirling melodies, blastbeats that sound like the rumbles after The Big Bang, and ethereal symphonic touches result in a song that’s equally fierce and pleasant to take in. A kinder, gentler (but not gentle) version of ...And Oceans.

“’Cloud Heads’ is certainly one of my favorites!” vocalist Mathias Lillmåns shares. “It was sort of an icebreaker song. It was one of the first songs we wrote straight after Cosmic World Mother was finished, and the first lyrics I wrote for the album. It was the song that paved way (or broke the ice) for the rest of the album.”

Part of the reason the band even needed to “break the ice” with this record is the pace at which their last was written, as guitarist Timo Kontio acknowledges:

“Well for me starting to do Cosmic World Mother was more nerve wrecking and even in doubt whether we should make new music or not. In the end it was quite an easy project to do, to our relief. So when we started to make this album, it was more relaxed and more or less go with the flow mentality. We had the first ‘difficult comeback album’ done, and everything came quite easily! It was really refreshing to make this kind of music after so long.”

“I was only supposed to produce guitars for Cosmic World Mother,” Lillmåns adds, “but a month before the recordings were supposed to start, my phone suddenly rang. I could sense that this phone call was going to be important when I saw it was Timo calling. I was asked to join the band and also to write lyrics for the whole thing. Immediately when I saw the first version of the [album] cover, I got this vision of what the concept of the album would be, and I wrote most of the album in sort of a frenzy with the next few weeks.”

“It’s strange with the new album,” he continues, “because I have always been forced to use tight deadlines for myself when writing music or lyrics. It seems I need the pressure to create something I’m happy with. Also, for some reason I get most done when traveling, I used to take trains to nowhere just write sometimes back in the day! This time there were no pressure, no traveling, and I was not on the edge of a burn out, and it went smoother than ever before! The lyrics just kept on coming, not as fast and not in such a trancelike frenzy as the last album, but good stuff on a steady basis.”

So while Cosmic World Mother was the sort of ravishing fever dream of an album that poured out of ...And Oceans in fits and starts, As In Gardens, So In Tombs was the result of the band taking the time to sweat the small stuff. The result can be found everywhere – melodies are brighter, the orchestral elements feel more essential, and Lillmåns’ vocals have swallowed a mushroom (in a garden or tomb?) as done a Mario-like levelling up. Even in the way the album sounds, As In Gardens, So In Tombs sounds warmer, the kind of record meant to be played while walking alone in nature. That sense of measured purpose was very intentional as Lillmåns notes:

“[The record] definitely feels grander and more melodic. I think stepping up the production also was something that helped in this sense! Having Juho Räihä at SoundSpiral Audio taking a bigger role in the recording and having it sent over to Tore Stjerna at NBS Production definitely made it sound more massive and took a load off our shoulders to focus on the music itself!”

Who could’ve guessed that leaving the musicians to focus on the music would have good results?

As noted earlier, musically and thematically, everything about Cosmic World Mother was rapidly birthed from its creators. The themes of that record weighed heavily on the band and carried over into this record. Cosmic World Mother was about how energy is eternal and how only changes form. This record doubles down on that notion by focusing on how humanity's energies toward enlightenment are often the same path, even if we have different languages, religions, customs, etc. I have this vision of us all playing different levels of a video game but ending up at the same ending. Energy is the most efficient recycler in the universe. So where and how did Lillmåns find inspiration to write the lyrics for this album? Did he end up walking gardens and pacing graveyards?

“I went back to gardens, moved away from the city into the nature. I always felt like I needed to be in a dark place to create lyrics that came from the heart, ‘when the body suffers, the mind flowers,’ kind of state. This time I was at ease, and it was surprisingly efficient. I usually don’t want to spoil too much and having people to think for themselves, but yes, I had the time to sit down and read during the pandemic and came to some conclusions (as in nature, so in books). I think it’s a very calming thought, that whatever happens, whenever it happens, makes no difference. We have always and always will be a part of the circle of eternal energy; we have always existed and will always exist in some form. A notion that became ever so clear when reading up on different religions, worldviews, customs, and philosophies.”

On the heels of wrapping his first headlining arena tour in November, the GRAMMY Nominated Walker Hayes announces his new headlining Duck Buck Tour for 2023. The 22-show trek will feature direct support from 4x GRAMMY nominee singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress, with platinum-selling, Amazon Music Breakthrough Spotlight Artist BRELAND and hit songwriter and artist Ray Fulcher joining select dates. Country chart-topper Chris Lane and ACM award winning songwriter Nicolle Galyon will make a special appearance during a one-of-a-kind performance at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 5. The tour will kick off on April 13 in Rosemont, IL, with tickets on sale this Friday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. CT. Visit walkerhayes.com for more details.

“I can’t wait to get back out on tour,” says Hayes. “Headlining an arena tour for the first time this past year was a dream come true. The whole family was able to come out and the road has become our new home away from home. All the fans that have come out or will come out are making this dream a reality. I owe it all to them, and this next tour will be the biggest and best. I don’t take for granted that they spent their hard-earned money on my shows, and I plan to make it well worth it!”

The new tour gets its name from the chorus of the title track off Hayes’ most recent album, Country Stuff The Album, in which the Mobile, AL native celebrates the trademarks of life in the country. Relishing his love of “Country Stuff,” Hayes sings, “I like shooting ducks and bucks / I like mud tires on my trucks / I like old blue jeans, guitar strings and dirt roads.” Since the release of the track, the Duck Buck has become Hayes’ signature, showing up on his merch, across his socials, and in his music videos after fans latched onto the visual. Always listening to fan feedback, the Duck Buck is now the name of Hayes’ next arena tour.

Hayes’ 2023 tour will celebrate the power of songwriting, while championing female talent with Andress joining 20 dates and Galyon performing at the legendary Red Rocks tour stop, which will also feature superstar Lane. BRELAND and Fulcher will split dates throughout the tour, showcasing some of the best country music that the genre has to offer.

One of the top streaming artists in country music last year, Hayes single “Y’all Life” is steadily climbing the charts, currently sitting in the top 30 on country radio’s Mediabase chart. His most recent release, “Face In The Crowd ,” is an ode to his biggest fan who remains side stage during many of his tour dates, his wife Laney. The song is especially meaningful after a breakthrough year for Hayes and his family that saw the superstar earn a GRAMMY nomination, six Billboard Music Award nominations, five ACM Award nominations, a CMT Award nomination, a CMA nomination and his first No. 1 at Country radio. Listen to “Face In The Crowd” HERE.

ABOUT INGRID ANDRESS:
4x GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress digs deeper than ever before to explore the dark and the light within us all on her highly anticipated sophomore album, Good Person , available everywhere now. All co-produced and co-written by Andress, the track listing includes her latest platinum-certified, No. 1 radio single “Wishful Drinking (with Sam Hunt),” which is also currently GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Having gone through two years that were transformational in every way and triumphing in the face of some unprecedented career-obstacles, Andress knew that the best way forward was a brave willingness to be even more truthful and real. Along the way, she also found that changes were happening in her personal life and that the songs were actually leading the way, revealing emotions she wasn’t fully aware of yet. She pushed for bold, experimental sounds that blended banjos with vocoders; swung from sweeping orchestration to spare, acoustic-based arrangements; and showcased previously unexplored parts of her vocal range.

Good Person returns to the reflection and confession at the core of her triumphant 2020 debut, Lady Like, and plumbs even deeper. Named “one of the year’s strongest albums” by Associated PressLady Like became one of Billboard’s Top 10 Best Country Albums of the year and set the record as the highest streaming country female debut album of all time upon release. In addition to the Gold-certified title track, Lady Like  also features her multi-platinum No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine,” which made history as the only debut single from a solo female artist to break the Top 20 on country radio in 2019. The album was up for Best Country Album at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards in addition to Andress’ nominations for Best Country Song and Best New Artist, making her the only country artist to be nominated in a “Big Four” category. Recently celebrating the impressive milestone of surpassing one billion total career streams, Andress spent the summer on tour with Keith Urban for his “The Speed of Now World Tour” and recently announced her own global headlining trek, The Good Person Tour, kicking off in February 2023.

ABOUT BRELAND:
With PLATINUM breakout “My Truck,” singer/songwriter/producer BRELAND has emerged as a bold new force on today’s music landscape. The Amazon Music Breakthrough Spotlight Artist first popped off when the Hip-Hop and Country hybrid hit #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 in 2019, and a remix featuring Sam Hunt landed on best-of-the-year lists from NPR to The New York Times. Adding to his 1 BILLION+ career streams, BRELAND’s debut album CROSS COUNTRY  is out now and features infectious releases “Told You I Could Drink (feat. Lady A),” “Natural,” “Praise The Lord (feat. Thomas Rhett),” GOLD-certified “Throw It Back (feat. Keith Urban) and title track (feat. Mickey Guyton). Hailed as the “symbol of Country music’s ongoing evolution” (Rolling Stone), the Bad Realm Records/Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville artist has scored high profile looks on ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!CBS Mornings, CBS’  New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big BashCMT Crossroads, NBC’s TODAY, The Kelly Clarkson Show, plus performances on the ACM, CMT, and CMA Awards. BRELAND recently wrapped his fall headline HERE FOR IT TOUR, with high-profile performances in 2023 on deck at Stagecoach Festival and as direct support for select summer dates of Shania Twain’s QUEEN OF ME TOUR.

ABOUT RAY FULCHER:
As a writer, the 2022 CMA Triple Play Honoree Ray Fulcher understands the sweet spot of life. It's the same joy that marks the songs he's co-written with an old friend named Luke Combs. Eight of those songs ended up on the 2020 CMA Album of the Year What You See Is What You Get. Eight more ended up on This One's for You. Four of those songs – "When It Rains It Pours," "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Lovin' on You," and "Does to Me," featuring their mutual idol and influence Eric Church – went to #1. As an artist, Ray Fulcher has been streamed over 40 million times, and almost 21 million of those streams are derived from "Anything Like You Dance." On Jun. 10, 2022 Fulcher released his debut album Spray Painted Line, featuring the hit songs "Love Ya Son, Go Dawgs," referencing the CFP National Champions, the Georgia Bulldogs, "Girl in It," and "Anything Like You Dance."

ABOUT NICOLLE GALYON:
Nicolle Galyon is an award winning, multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and producer from Sterling, Kansas and one of Nashville’s most successful and respected voices. Adding to her already triumphant career as a songwriter, Galyon released her long-awaited debut album, firstborn, earlier this summer via her own label, Songs & Daughters. A striking personal statement, firstborn is Galyon’s life story in song form and continues to receive widespread critical attention. Of the record, The Tennessean praises, “a star-making statement all her own that reckons with her humanity and humility in equal measure,” while Variety declares, “firstborn is not aimed at giving her a tenth No. 1 but at putting her own lyrical voice in the top position for the first time in her career.”

Across her twenty-year career, Galyon has penned nine No.1 hits including Miranda Lambert’s ACM Award-winning “Automatic,” which went on to win NSAI Song of the Year, as well as and Dan + Shay’s multi-platinum, ACM Award-winning “Tequila.” Additionally, Galyon has received Grammy and CMA Awards nominations, earned a Triple Play Award and was honored by BMI as their 2019 Songwriter of the Year. In addition to her work as a songwriter and artist, Galyon founded the female-focused label and publishing house, Songs & Daughters, in 2019, which includes artists Hailey Whitters, Tiera Kennedy, Madison Kozak and Lauren Watkins. Galyon is heavily involved in the CMA Foundation’s music education initiative, has served as an NSAI Board Member, a CMT Next Women of Country mentor and founded The Autobiography Scholarship to provide students of her alma mater Sterling High School with college scholarships. She was also named 2020 Kansan of the Year for her continued service and commitment to her home state, which includes partnering with SongFarm and Save The Music to install a recording studio in Sterling High School and others throughout the country.

ABOUT CHRIS LANE:
Introducing "a decidedly more country sound" (MusicRow), Chris Lane is launching his next chapter with over 1.4 BILLION on-demand streams and three #1s to date - platinum "Big, Big Plans," 3X platinum "I Don't Know About You," and platinum "Fix." After a spree of releases in 2021 and 2022, Lane's catalog has expanded with hits like latest collaboration "Dancin' In The Moonlight" with Lauren Alaina, "Howdy," "Stop Coming Over," "Summer Job Money," "Fill Them Boots," "Ain't Even Met You Yet," HIXTAPE: Vol. 2 smash "Small Town On It" with Scotty McCreery, and Dustin Lynch duet, "Tequila On A Boat." High octane, pop punk powerhouses PUNK ROCK FACTORY are the kings of turning any song into a pop punk masterpiece. The boisterous four piece take all your favourite tracks and make them sound like you never quite imagined they could! No-one is immune from the PRF treatment - these four lads from South Wales have adapted everything from Disney classics, assorted rock & pop hits and TV themes from across the decades.

Since their debut self-release in 2019, PUNK ROCK FACTORY have been quietly gaining a colossal online fan base. The cultural sensations have already racked up over 26 million streams on Spotify and 5 million likes on TikTok, with 245,000 followers on Instagram, and over 11 million views on YouTube. No mean feat for a band you’ve never heard of (‘til now)!

In 2023, the guys turn their attention to musicals, with the forthcoming release of new album It's Just A Stage We're Going Through, due to land on 31st March.

The band inform us;

“Our new album is a punk rock homage to stage and screen and in our opinion, our best work to date. We found out before that Disney has a devoted cult following and fans of musicals are no different. We knew we had to push the boat out and step up our game. Because who doesn’t love a musical?”

“The album’s first single ‘Rewrite The Stars’ (from the movie ‘The Greatest Showman’) also inspired the album’s cover art. In the music video for it, we accelerated the aging process with some awesome special effects makeup and also brought in our good friend Sean Smith of The Blackout to play a cinema usher! The video depicts that no matter how old we get, we’ll still be best mates pissing around… And Sean Smith will always have questionable hair!”

Watch the official video forRewrite The Starshere or by clicking the thumbnail below. The track is available on all streaming platforms now and as an instant grat with album pre-orders.

The group rehearse, write, and record everything themselves in their own purpose-built studio in Wales, affectionately known as The Sausage Factory. They regularly include a wide range of special guests in their music, which have included the likes of actress/singer Jessica Darrow (Disney's Encanto), Jaret Reddick (Bowling For Soup), and Spencer Charnas (Ice Nine Kills) amongst others - this time welcoming Simple Plan’s Jeff Stinco for a face-melting solo onWaving Through A Window (fromDear Evan Hansen).

PUNK ROCK FACTORY played their first ever live show at the UK's Bloodstock Festival in 2021 and followed up with a sold out UK tour and slots at Download and Slam Dunk in 2022.

The band are steamrolling into 2023, preparing to tackle their second ever UK tour in Feb/Mar 2023. Punk Rock Factory's Excellent Adventure is well on track to be sold out once again months in advance (with extra shows already added)! Today, the group are thrilled to announce their It's Just A Stage We're Going Through tour, in support of their new album in Oct/Nov 2023. Drum tracking for Exul, the fourth long-player from Australian extreme progressive metallers NE OBLIVISCARIS, started in March 2020. There is an ominous tone to that date: March 2020. The pandemic demarcation line. That month, Daniel Presland laid down his drums in Nashville, Tennessee, with American producer Mark Lewis. As flight cancellations increased and borders shuttered, Presland made it home literally hours before Australia closed theirs. Lewis, guitarist Benjamin Baret and bassist Martino Garattoni weren’t as lucky. They were due to land in Australia in the days that followed to continue tracking, but were forced to remain overeseas indefinitely. With recording studios shuttered throughout Melbourne, a slow, tedious, life-altering two-year grind to complete Exul ensued for NE OBLIVISCARIS

What should have been the continued upward swing after 2017’s critically acclaimed Urn turned into the most fraught moment of NE OBLIVISCARIS’s career. Clean vocalist and violinist Tim Charles says the period “came close to breaking us completely.” It was a time filled with death, relationships breaking down, despair and financial loss. Presland, NE OBLIVISCARIS’s drummer since 2005, amicably parted ways in early 2022, throwing yet another wrench into the band’s plans.

There are, however, happy accidents scattered throughout the creation of Exul. The extra, unexpected downtime allowed the band to fine-tune and even re-write parts previously set in stone before the pandemic. Charles’s violin solo at the end of “Graal” is a prime example: His original idea wasn’t fully realized until he revisited the song in early 2021 and promptly came up with a new part. It was a classic “a-ha” moment that improved the song.

“Getting an opportunity to have a song mostly done for a year or so and then go back to it, find what you loved about it the first time and maybe even improve it in some ways was a nice silver lining from all the delays,” says Charles. “I think because we had so many delays that were out of our control, we were even more determined to take our time to make sure when the time came to record and to mix, that we ensured it was the absolute best it could be in every way.”

Seven additional studios and three more countries later, Exul was finally mixed and mastered in July 2022.

The album personifies NE OBLIVISCARIS’s distinctive, boundary-pushing ethos. The band’s trademark blend of emotion and beauty is as towering as ever, if not even more compelling, particularly how Charles’s violin lines carefully weave their way around Baret and fellow guitarist Matt Klavins’ riffing. The duality of Charles’s clean vocals and Xenoyr’s growls remains the narrative anchor, elevating songs that emanate sophistication and are a masterclass in composition.

“Our approach is always the same,” says Charles, “which is essentially to just write and see what comes out. Exul definitely had its challenges during the songwriting process. Part of the beauty of how our music comes together is that we are quite different individuals bringing an array of ideas together. From there, we work out how to combine them into something that is seamless and beautiful to us. We were determined to make this our best and most complete album yet, which definitely resulted in it taking longer. But we are so proud of this album and it’s exciting to finally share it with the world.”

The album’s centerpiece is the two-part “Misericorde I – As the Flesh Fails” and “Misericorde – Anatomy of Quiescence.” (A NE OBLIVISCARIS album is not complete without a multi-part epic!) According to Charles, Part II began by taking a song they thought was finished (Pt I) and asking, “What if after that…?” The band then wrote a section that took the piece in a new direction and what was a 7 minute song, became an almost 17 minute 2 part epic.

“The bulk of Part I was written more so by Benji and Martino,” notes Charles. “You can hear the very guitar-driven approach present throughout that track. Part II, by contrast, was written more so by myself in collaboration with others and the emphasis changes more towards expansive solos and slow-developing sections that build towards the epic finale. These two tracks are a great example of how it’s the combination of our different strengths as songwriters spread across an album that results in the sound that is 'NE OBLIVISCARIS'.”

Charles’s violin parts, whether on “Misericorde II,” “Equus” or “Suspyre,” exude confidence. The instrument has always been central to the band’s sound. On Exul, Charles’s violin playing is taken to another level. “I think that over the years, in regards to how my violin interacts within NeO’s music, I’ve simply continued to add more strings to my bow, so to speak,” he says. “With ‘Exul,’ I definitely explored even further the use of layers of violin and viola parts to create a more textured feel compared to other albums. ‘Mesericorde II’ was definitely a bit of a breakthrough song for me, where I felt I could utilize the strings in a way that hadn’t been done in NeO’s music before. In the end, whatever serves the song best is always the aim and having more ways of creating music makes it easier to serve the song.”

The Exul album title came to Xen when he was summing up the album’s feeling musically and lyrically. Coincidentally, it matched the experience of most people during the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “I think everyone at some point has felt at odds with the world around them, felt alone, cast out, or misunderstood,” says Xen. “Exul felt right to use in a broader sense and as a lone word, for we each have our own history and a story of exile.

“Overall, there’s a darker core to this album, perhaps more ominous than previous releases,” he continues. “However abstract the lyrics are, they involve some form of unwanted departure — all journeys into torment, passion, longing and even despair. They touch on the process of physical and psychological destruction that comes from that sense or reality of being exiled, whether forced from one’s land, ostracised from a community, shunned by a religion, or even simply being treated differently for being who they are.”

Touring will factor heavily into NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 2023 plans. The band will embark on headlining tours worldwide that will hit new territories. As luck would have it, the return to live show activity will coincide with the release of Exul and the band’s 20th anniversary. As one of Australia’s leading extreme metal exports, there is a distinct sense of gratitude from Charles and his bandmates. They’re looking forward to sharing it with fans when they resume touring.

“Simply getting the opportunity to perform music that we’ve written on stages around the world to people that genuinely love and connect with it,” finishes Charles when talking about NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 20-year journey. “There is something incredibly special about the energy that exists between an artist and audience at a concert and it’s an honor to get the opportunity to spend 2023 connecting with people in that way once more.”

With his just-announced album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell set to showcase the results of a year off the road spent reconnecting with his passions both musically and personally, multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice is ready to bring that sonic return to his roots to fans across the country this spring on the Way Down Yonder Tour.

“I focused on ‘What can I put out that makes me come to life?’,” Rice shared recently with PopCulture of the new music he will debut on this tour. “Because if I come to life when I’m on the stage and up there singing songs that I’m passionate about and love, man, people are gonna love them that much more… I’m at the place in my life now where I just want people to know who I really am as opposed to who they think I am. I think this record’s a good start.”

Kicking off March 3 in Laughlin, Nev., the headlining run presented by Coors Banquet spans 23 dates across the U.S. including iconic theaters such as Nashville Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre, concluding April 29 in Rice’s birthplace of Daytona, Fla. Joining as special guests across varying dates are Avery AnnaTyler Braden, Ashland CraftDalton DoverKameron MarloweRead Southall Band and Conner Smith.

Tickets to all dates go on sale this Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time via ChaseRice.com, with pre-sales beginning Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour earns its name from Rice’s latest release off the forthcoming album, outlaw anthem “Way Down Yonder,” available everywhere now along with an accompanying Wild West-style music video. Written by Rice together with Hunter Phelps, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass and Corey Crowder during a writing retreat in Florida that also produced recent release “Key West & Colorado,” the song paints a vivid picture of hardworking characters living beyond the confines of the law:

About Chase Rice
With nearly 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.4 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio, his sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, as evidenced by recent releases “Key West & Colorado” and “Way Down Yonder.” The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the triple-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and Jason Aldean plus stadiums with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice also consistently sells out venues across the U.S. and Europe on his own headlining tours.

Get 'metanoia' HERE!

PERSEFONE is known for their brand of rich soundscapes and technically precise work, setting new standards in modern extreme progressive metal. Founded in 2001, PERSEFONE has released six studio albums, each showcasing the band’s myriad of musical principles: high technicality, distinct melodies, plenty of head-turning riffs and musical acrobatics. The band has toured worldwide with notable acts like Obituary and Leprous, has hit stages at important festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Metal Days, Brutal Assault, ProgPower and 70,000 Tons of Metal, and are now about to tour North America for the first time in support of their new album, metanoia!

Featuring collaborations with standout artists like Steffen Kummerer (Obscura, Thulcandra), Einar Solberg (Leprous), Angel Vivaldi and Merethe Soltvedt (Two Steps From Hell), metanoia exploits the full potential of contrasts in every song, with each track representing a story evolving from beginning to end and constantly growing in strength – redefining typical musical boundaries. Mixed by David Castillo (Leprous, Soen, Opeth) and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Ihsahn, Sepultura), the new full-length stretches over 10 songs, each appearing to glide seamlessly from one to the next.

PERSEFONE about ‘metanoia’:

“metanoia is the next step in our personal pursuit for existential growth through music. This album is a call for a deep change, a call for an inner journey through fear and pain, a call for a leap into a meaningful and rooted place. Making this album has forced us to face many musical and personal hurdles and fears, and the result of that confrontation lives within all the notes and words captured on this new chapter in our journey.  May you find meaning in all this musical chaos.”

PERSEFONE is:

Marc Martins – vocals

Miguel “Moe” Espinosa – keyboards and vocals

Carlos Lozano – guitar

Filipe Baldaia – guitar

Toni Mestre – bass

Sergi “ Bobby” Verdeguer - drums

AMON AMARTH Release Cinematic Lyric Video For Track "Oden Owns You All", Great Heathen Tour Currently Laying Waste To North America

Taken from the band's recent album, 'The Great Heathen Army' (out now via Metal Blade Records), "Oden Owns You All" is 4:17 of the expertly crafted, Norse inspired death metal brutality Amon Amarth are known for. INSANITY ALERT Re-Issues 'Moshburger,' Shares New Live Video

Austria's crossover thrash formation INSANITY ALERT are proud to release the re-issue of their second full length "Moshburger", which was originally released back in 2016. The new juicy moshburger is served in a crispy digipak, two crunchy vinyl editions, and various slices of merch designs on the side. The album is out today, December 9 and can still be ordered HERE.

In Celebration, INSANITY ALERT are releasing a brand new live video for the track 'Run to the Pit', which was shot during their performance at the mighty Wacken Open Air in August 2022. Watch it via the official Season of Mist YouTube channel HERE

INSANITY ALERT comment: "Couldn't still your hunger for Thrash lately? Guess what! MOSHBURGER will do! Our second and sold-out album will be re-issued via Season of Mist Records on December 9th! And since every good meal needs an appetizer, we will pregame this party with the release of a new live video: Bang your head to "Run to the Pit" - performed at this year's Wacken Open Air!"

The world of INSANITY ALERT is a dark yet happy place. Fast, aggressive music, crazy lyrics about alcohol, rage, weed, ignorance and hate, all drenched in an 80’s hot sauce but played with a 2019 attitude. The band emerged from the Austrian city of Innsbruck in 2011, with only one intent: deliver crushing, crossover party thrash.

A tongue-in-cheek concept backed up by strong musical prowess worked out extremely well as ‘First Diagnosis’ proved in 2012. This demo was welcomed with open arms and the first impression of the public quickly confirmed by ‘Second Opinion’, which came out the year after. In 2014, debut album, ‘Insanity Alert’ delighted critics and fans alike and was reissued four years later by Season of Mist. The wild Tyrolians, always eager to please, next served a juicy ‘Moshburger’ (2016).

With ‘666-pack’ (2019) the band proves once more to be an unstoppable force. Whether it is dropping a to-the-point, crossover track such as “The Body Of The Christ is The Parasite” or INSANITY ALERT-esque interpretations of classics like “Saturday Grind Fever”, the groove will have you headbanging in no time with a smirk on your face. Having confirmed their first festivals for 2019 and riding the wave of the thrash metal revival, INSANITY ALERT can’t wait to return to the stage and share (a) 666-pack with you!

Kansas celebrate their 50th anniversary with release of ‘Another Fork In The Road

KANSAS, America’s legendary progressive rock band, will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2023. To commemorate this landmark occasion, current label InsideOutMusic are pleased to announce Another Fork In  The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas for release on the 9th December 2022 in Europe & 16th December 2022 in North America. A career-spanning collection, it features carefully-selected tracks from across the bands sizable discography, as well as a new version of ‘Can I Tell You’. Originally recorded and released on their 1974 debut, the song is updated by the current line-up. It provides a full-circle perspective on the band’s long and continuing history that has seen them release 16 studio albums and sell in excess of 30 million albums worldwide.

Today you can also now listen to the brand new version of ‘Can I Tell You’ on streaming services. Listen now here:

"The song 'Can I Tell You' may not have been our biggest 'hit,' but it is one of the most important songs in the career of the band KANSAS." says original member and guitarist Richard Williams. "'Can I Tell You' was the first song on the demo reel we sent to Don Kirshner. Hearing that demo is what led to KANSAS getting a record deal. It felt appropriate, after fifty years, to come full circle and record it with the current lineup."

This "garage band" from Topeka released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner, and have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Composing a catalogue that includes sixteen studio albums and five live albums, KANSAS has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of KANSAS), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), one quadruple-Platinum single ‘Carry On Wayward Son,’ and another triple-Platinum single ‘Dust in the Wind.’ KANSAS appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70's and ‘80's and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio, and ‘Dust In the Wind’ has been played on the radio more than three million times!

The summer of 2020 marked the release of The Absence of Presence, KANSAS’s sixteenth studio album, which debuted at #10 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart.  The wide-ranging progressive rock album, released by InsideOut Music, follows-up 2016’s The Prelude Implicit, which debuted at #14 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.

Thousand Below Release New Album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' via Pale Chord Music

San Diego quartet Thousand Below have released their new album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere'via Pale Chord Music. Prior to today's release, Thousand Below dropped music videos for "Face To Face" and "Sabotage"which together have amassed over 880,000 streams on Spotify and 72,000 views on YouTube. Stream 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' here.

Thousand Below are currently on the road on the completely sold-out North American leg of A Tour Of The Concrete Jungle with Bad Omens, Dayseeker, and Make Them Suffer. Be sure to stay tuned for more Thousand Below news coming soon.

Thousand Below’s vulnerable, ambient, yet ultimately hopeful self-examination of loss, life and healing is an enduring theme resonating in the band’s signature sound. The range within their genre is an homage to the band’s intimate experience through the stages of grief. The American quartet-- James DeBerg [vocals], Josh Thomas [guitar], Josh Billimoria [Bass], and Max Santoro [drums]-- descend into the visceral anger and raw anguish echoing throughout their lyrically-jarring debut album The Love You Let Too Close (Rise Records), followed by the somber instrumentation of an ultimately quieter emotional discourse in their sophomore album Gone In Your Wake (Rise Records).

SERENITY Excite with Second Single “Spirit In The Flesh” Featuring Niklas Müller + Live Video

New Live Album 'MEMORIA' Out in Physical Formats on January 6 (North America) - Get Your Copy HERE!

Normally, symphonic metal historians SERENITY share long forgotten stories of ancient kings, queens and mythical legends. But now, the assembly is looking back at their own band history and legacy of 20 years on their new live album and cinematic journey, MEMORIA, out now digitally, and in physical formats on January 6 via Napalm Records

Fitting for the live album’s release, the quartet surprises fans with their second single, “Spirit In The Flesh”. Dressed in their characteristic folk sound and combined with enchanting tunes, the song is supported by Niklas Müller, drummer of Symphonic Metal upstarts AD INFINITUM, on rhythmic drums. The song comes along with a video which captures the feverish atmosphere of SERENITY’s dedicated fans.

Singer Georg on “Spirit In The Flesh”:

The track was originally released on our album Codex Atlanticus, named after the famous work of Leonardo DaVinci, who was our inspiration for the entire album. We wanted to tell the story of his courage to face the wraths of the church against scientists and his strong will to explore the secrets of nature at all risks. The song itself convinces with a strong folk melody that is pointed out even more in the acoustic version. And of course, we are grateful for the support of our longtime friend Niklas Müller (AD INFINITUM) giving the song an energy kick with his drumming.

Symphonic metal unit SERENITY offers a new approach to beguiling the senses with their live performance, MEMORIA, now on DVD and BluRay! Interpreting their illustrious songs anew in a conceptual show, they are sure to enchant listeners and viewers alike. Showcasing incredible hit density, the band embraces their symphonic power and provides a magical feeling throughout the entire performance. From classic folklore pieces like “Coldness Kills” that intrigues with its fairytale-like sound and classic instrumentals, to “Set The World On Fire” with catchy hooks and dashing soundscapes, SERENITY give it all in every single piece. In “Set the World on Fire” and “Broken Dreams”, the unit is joined on their journey by the smooth and magical voice of Marco Pastorino awakening old myths and legends anew. These dreamlike soundscapes are supported with enchanting guitar riffs in “Velatum” and “Souls and Sins” by none other than Sascha Paeth, the producer of Avantasia. This way, the band not only showcases their incredible musical talent supported by talented vocalist Georg Neuhauser, but also their love and dedication for the art of music. Touching ballads like “Journey Ends” and “Fairytales” supported by the incredible vocal range of legendary Visions of Atlantis vocalist Clémentine Delauney forge reminiscence of earlier times, while moving duets like “Changing Fate” refer to multifaceted Scottish mythology. In “Spirit of the Flesh”, Nicklas Müller offers rhythmic support by adding steady drums. As a special bonus on MEMORIA, the band taps Sascha Paeth and Michele Guaitoli from symphonic metal greats Visions of Atlantis for their stage performance of “Souls and Sins” and “Legacy of the Tudors”.

Rokets comment:

"'Break Free' is the second full length attack by us; the Finnish rockers Rokets. Manned with new troops and more hooks, our wrecking crew is now ready to bring rock'n'roll back from the dead. We did a lot of songs in the beginning of the album writing process and then started cutting them down to a maximum of ten good ones. The songs you hear on the album are the ones we really love and adore, no fillers here! These nine slashing tracks of pure electric energy will make you bang your head while turning your sound-system into ashes. Satisfaction guaranteed!

"The recording of the album started in the summer of 2021. After a couple of detours we got lucky enough to record most of the album at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. Soon after vocals were recorded in Herttoniemi at our rehearsal studio in early 2022. Our lead guitarist Sakke handled the recording of the album while Robert Pehrsson (Robert Pehrssons Humbucker, Black Breath, Dundertåget, etc.) mixed it at Studio Humbucker. It was then mastered by Hans Olsson Brookes at Svenska Grammofonstudion in April 2022."
