Dark Metal Ensemble ATER Unveil Music Video For New Single "Sleep", Announce Forthcoming Album 'Everlasting'

Dark metal ensemble ATER present "Sleep," a haunting and heavy romantic ballad. The new single goes beyond ATER's exploration of shadowy brutality, revealing a softer side and a more emotional arrangement. "Sleep" is the first taste of the band's upcoming full length offering, Everlasting. The album is scheduled to arrive on January 29, 2027, via Torque Records.

ATER’s frontman Fernando Bühring comments: "This is a very different release for us, and I’m sure most of our listeners will be surprised. I have been exploring and expanding the musical boundaries of ATER, and this song is an expression of that. Freedom. Freedom to express myself. We shot the music video with a small team and it was directed by our drummer Vincent Zbinden. ‘Sleep’ is a very personal song and if you asked me months ago, I would never write something like that. But I did, and it represents well this new facet of sound we developed recently creating this new album."

With a slow and considered pace, ATER deliver a ferocious heaviness interspersed with lingering moments of serene clean tones that carve out a dreamy atmosphere. Fernando Bühring's intimate clean vocals are befitting of a gothic romance, gentle and passionate while surrounded by an eerie gloom. Everlasting was produced by Fernando Bühring and recorded at Torque Records. The album was mixed by Daniel Lancaster and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Fascination Street Studios). Travis Smith created the album cover artwork for Everlasting. The single artwork for "Sleep" is by Fernando Bühring.

About ATER:
Based out of Santiago, Chile, extreme metal act ATER unveiled their debut album Eternal Gray Spiral in 2018 through Insania Recordings. The band's sophomore album Somber arrived in 2024 via Torque Records, with 2025 seeing the release of singles, "The Fall" and "Venus".

Describing their sound as Dark Metal or Extreme Dark Metal, ATER's music is constructed primarily from extreme metal and gothic rock. Their production feels both modern and organic, with composer Fernando building songs around the guitars and bass often leading to centered bass parts in the mix. Thematically, ATER's music is introspective, open and honest in its emotional delivery. ATER explore gothic romanticism with an updated, modern perspective.

ATER have traversed across global stages including European tours: Epic Prophecy Europe 2024 (BATUSHKA, VLTIMAS, GOD DETHRONED, ATER), Beyond The Black Tour Europe 2025 (VENOM INC, KRISIUN, HATE, ATER), and Morbidfest Tour Europe 2025 (POSSESSED, TERRORIZER, SUICIDAL ANGELS, NIGHTFALL, ATER). In 2025 alone, ATER performed an impressive 110 shows including national support for CRADLE OF FILTH in Santiago, Chile, and Turock Festival, Essen, Germany.

Legendary Supergroup ASIA Shares New Single "Arcadia" + Official Video

Today, legendary English rock supergroup ASIA shares “Arcadia,” a new extract from their upcoming studio album, ‘Indigo,’ out on November 6, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. The official video for the single is available now.

Geoff Downes states:

“The original idea for ‘Arcadia’ was that it was going to be the title of the third ASIA album, which we then later decided to change to ‘Astra.’ However, the word and concept has always been around us, and there have been many suggestions over the years to write a song about it. So, here we are in 2026, 40 years later, and we’ve finally managed to bring it into being. ‘Arcadia’ is a historical Greek region and is depicted as an idyllic pastoral place free from the outside world. Our song symbolizes a retreat from everyday life, an escape if you like to a quieter place, something that we all need to do from time to time.”

Watch the Official Video for "Arcadia" Below:

More than four decades after redefining the sound of melodic progressive rock, ASIAreturns in 2026 with 'Indigo' - a studio album that bridges past, present, and future with remarkable grace and authenticity.

Now featuring Geoffrey Downes alongside an inspired new lineup - Virgil Donati, John Mitchell, and Harry Whitley - ASIA steps confidently into a new era while honoring the legacy that made them one of the most iconic supergroups of all time.

Geoff Downes described the genesis of the album:

“The initial writing period began in 2015, following the release of our previous album 'Gravitas' in 2014. John Wetton and I started putting our ideas together, aiming to get into the studio once more. It was with great sadness that John became seriously ill. During this time, we had put on hold our plans, and sadly, John passed away before we could continue and complete it. So, it was always in my mind that at some point it would be a shame not to finish off some of these songs and finally release them as part of an ASIA album.

“In 2023, when the tribute concert for John took place, I was so encouraged by the response to ASIA’s music that I viewed this as the perfect opportunity to re-establish not only the band, but also to reunite with our long-time supportive label, Frontiers, paving the way for us to get back in the studio”, he continued.

Downes also added:

“So, ASIA was back in the room, so to speak, and we were very fortunate to have recruited Virgil Donati and John Mitchell, both of whom had worked extensively with John before, as well as our new vocalist and bassist, Harry Whitley. The tours followed to great success throughout 2024 and 2025, and finally, we sat down towards the end of last year to record the album. Working with these fine musicians was a great privilege, and the music just seemed to flow.

“The album was really a joy to make. I forged a close writing relationship with Harry, and I felt how great it was to be working with someone who had very similar musical influences and taste once again, just as I did with John. I feel that this is one of our best albums to date. The songs are deep in musicality, with a powerful and original performance, dynamics, and strong lyrical undertones – it’s an album that hopefully our fans will widely appreciate and support our cause to put ASIA back on the map. Enjoy the ride!” he concluded.

Recorded throughout 2025 and produced by Downes and the band, with mixing and mastering handled by John Mitchell, 'Indigo' captures the unmistakable spirit of ASIAwhile injecting it with renewed vitality and purpose.

At the heart of the album lies an emotional connection to the band’s history. 'Indigo' includes some of the final compositions written by the late John Wetton - “Tattoo Indigo (Parts 2 & 3)” and “Chesapeake Bay”- imbuing the record with a profound sense of continuity and tribute. The presence of Wetton is further felt through the extraordinary vocal performance of Harry Whitley, whose tone and phrasing evoke a striking and deeply moving resemblance to the band’s original voice.

Musically, 'Indigo' stands as a natural continuation of ASIA’s acclaimed 21st-century output, while subtly weaving in the sonic DNA of the band’s classic early albums. From soaring melodies to richly layered arrangements, the album delivers the signature blend of accessibility and musicianship that defined hits like “Heat Of The Moment” and “Only Time Will Tell."

The album also features special guest appearances that elevate its scope: Steve Howecontributes acoustic guitar to the evocative “Chesapeake Bay”, while Mike Portnoy(Dream Theater) delivers a powerful performance on the bonus track “Tattoo Indigo (Part 3)."

Following a resurgence of live activity across the US, Japan, and Europe, ASIA is looking forward to taking to the road again.

With 'Indigo,' ASIA don’t just revisit their legacy - they expand it, proving once again that their music remains as vital, resonant, and timeless as ever.

Bullet For My Valentine Announce New Album "Social Apocalypse" + Share Video From Title Track — PRE-SAVE

Bullet For My Valentine will release their new album, Social Apocalypse, on March 19, 2027, via Spinefarm. The announcement arrives with a towering new single by the samename. "Social Apocalypse" is the band's first new song in four years; on the title track, Matt Tuck rages against "the end of the world as we know it," when "all hope has faded."

An accompanying video for "Social Apocalypse" is available to view below:

Thematically, Social Apocalypse combines the bare-faced lyrical introspection of people weathered and worn by the modern world with wide-eyed observations on a planet that feels as if it is coming off the rails at every turn. "Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world," Tuck says. "People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now."

Working once more with producer Carl Bown — a veteran of four Bullet albums, alongside work with Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, Malevolence and more — each new album track was diligently scrutinized, constructed, and polished to its immaculate final form. "Carl doesn’t let you settle," Tuck notes. "He is always ready to speak up, push and challenge you to be the best version of you."

There are two collaborations on Social Apocalypse – a rarity for Bullet that brings thrilling new dynamics to the record — with Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza stepping in to duet on "In The Absence Of You," and a hair-raising vocal turn from Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos on "I Don't Trust Tomorrow."

A very special limited white-label first pressing of Social Apocalypse (album)is available for pre-order exclusive via Ceremony of Roses HERE for 72 hrs only. For digital listeners, you can now pre-save the album HERE.

Then, on September 28, a full-range of offerings go on pre-sale, including standard and deluxe vinyl variants and a signed version of the CD. Head  HERE for more information.

Bullet For My Valentine have today announced their biggest tour yet; taking in arenas all over the UK and Europe. Having sold-out The O2 arena, London, last year as part of their co-headline run with Trivium, they are now returning as the sole headline act.

Pendulum will perform as very special guest across all shows, with Dark Devine appearing as openers.

Blake Pendergrass Named NSAI Songwriter of the Year

Blake Pendergrass was named NSAI Songwriter of the Year last night during the annual Nashville Songwriter Awards at the historic Ryman Auditorium, capping a career-defining year for one of Music City’s most in-demand songwriters.

Accepting the honor in an emotional speech, Pendergrass reflected on the years of uncertainty and perseverance that led him to the Ryman stage, dedicating a special moment to his mother, who is currently hospitalized.

“I remember crying in the car with my parents about eight years into this journey and asking them if they thought I should keep going,” Pendergrass shared. “And them encouraging me to. And my mom's in the hospital right now. Say a prayer for her later this evening.

“I've watched songs climb the chart. I've watched songs fall off the chart. And I've watched songs never make it onto the chart. At this point in my career, I’ve felt like the kid that's never going to make it. I’ve felt like the kid that is the least talented one in the room. I’ve felt like the guy with something to prove. I’ve felt like the guy that proved it. But what I do believe is that God has put me on the greatest adventure that I could ever ask to be on with the best people I could ever ask to be a part of it with.”

The songwriter’s peers honored Pendergrass with three performances from his catalogue. Ethan Burdick performed Pendergrass' first major-label cut, “865” (co-written with John Byron), while Warren Zeiders entertained the crowd with a performance of “Betrayal” (written by Justin Ebach, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Blake Pendergrass, Ali Tamposi, Warren Zeiders). Vincent Mason took the stage to perform his hit “Wish You Well” (written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris LaCorte, Pendergrass and Geoff Warburton).

The honor comes during a remarkable 2026 for Pendergrass, who has earned seven No. 1 hits to date, including Morgan Wallen’s “20 Cigarettes,” “Don’t We,” “I Got Better” and “Just In Case”; Jelly Roll’s “Heart Of Stone”; Tucker Wetmore’s VMA-nominated “Brunette”; and Jordan Davis and Thomas Rhett’s “Ain’t A Bad Life.”

His recent work includes Morgan Wallen’s “Been By Now,” which currently sits in the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100, as well as Dan + Shay’s “The Old Guys (feat. Cody Johnson)” and Wyatt Flores’ “Scared of Heights,” the title track of Flores’ latest album.

An ACM-nominated songwriter, Pendergrass celebrated his first CMA Triple Play award in April 2026 for “Just In Case,” “Heart of Stone” and “I Got Better.” He is also set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut Sept. 29.

Pendergrass’ growing list of accolades comes alongside an extraordinary track record of chart success and critical recognition. He is a writer on three GRAMMY-nominated albums, including Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind standout “Broken Hearts Still Beat,” Post Malone’s “Who Needs You” and Conner Smith’s “Steal My Thunder (feat. Tucker Wetmore)” from Twisters: The Album. He also co-wrote seven songs on Jelly Roll’s GRAMMY-winning album Beautifully Broken.

His longstanding creative partnership with Wallen has produced some of the biggest songs in country music. Pendergrass earned eight cuts on Wallen’s One Thing At A Time, including “Dying Man” and “Ain’t That Some,” and went on to land 15 cuts on Wallen’s latest album, I’m The Problem, including a 100% solo write on “The Dealer (feat. ERNEST).”

Across his catalog, Pendergrass has amassed more than one billion streams, with additional recordings by Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, HARDY, Chase Rice, Dustin Lynch and more.

From songs that top the charts to moments that define a career, Pendergrass’ NSAI Songwriter of the Year win marks a significant milestone in a journey that began with a songwriter questioning whether he should keep going – and has now taken him to one of Nashville’s most celebrated stages.

Miranda Lambert Reveals Ella Langley as Duet Partner on "Snakeskin Boots" Ahead of 10/2 'Crisco' Release

Three-time GRAMMY winner Miranda Lambert is revealing another layer of Crisco, her highly anticipated album arriving Oct. 2 via MCA, with today’s announcement that fellow firebrand Ella Langley is the featured artist on “Snakeskin Boots,” the album’s opening track. The cinematic, retro-Western track will make its world premiere at Country radio on Oct. 2.

Built with the swagger of late-’60s cinematic Westerns and the attitude of Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang,” “Snakeskin Boots” opens Crisco with a larger-than-life story of a woman who knows exactly how to make her escape. Lambert and co-producer Jesse Frasure drew inspiration from the era’s dramatic, stylized soundscapes, creating a track that could soundtrack a Quentin Tarantino film as easily as it could fill a dance floor at Studio 54.

The collaboration with Langley brings an especially personal connection to the song. The two artists have developed a creative relationship over the past several years, with Lambert serving as an influential presence in Langley’s rapidly ascending career as a mentor, co-writer and co-producer. Their partnership has already earned recognition with Lambert recently receiving seven CMA Award nominations connected not only to her own artistry but also her contributions to Langley’s project. Lambert co-produced Langley’s acclaimed Dandelion project and joined Langley as a duet partner on album track “Butterfly Season.” This week, “Choosin’ Texas,” which Lambert co-wrote and co-produced, made history by becoming the longest-running No. 1 song by any artist or song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“We wrote ‘Snakeskin Boots’ with Ella in mind. She and I are kindred spirits, and when we were working on her album, I realized how many retro influences we share,” notes Lambert. “To me, this song is kind of Thelma and Louise if they didn’t drive off the cliff. It’s two badass women getting away with something, and she’s the perfect partner for that.”

“Snakeskin Boots” kicks off an album that finds Lambert embracing the musical history she loves while pushing it somewhere entirely her own. Across 12 tracks, Lambert celebrates the many worlds that have always existed within country music as it nods to the genre’s shared history with disco music. She explores heartbreak and hope, highways and honky-tonks, rhinestones and roller skates, creating a record that feels both timeless and refreshingly alive while embracing every side of the artist fans have come to love: the storyteller, the wanderer, the romantic, the troublemaker, the traditionalist and the dreamer.

Kenny Chesney Urges "Remember Me That Way" -- 5th Track, 2nd Single Lands Midnight Sept. 24

After three years, several mutations and the realization that Silver Sands Marina was a collection of songs that made good on the promise of what life can be when people truly engage with each other, Kenny Chesney releases his final slice of music before the album arrives on Friday, Sept. 25. Having trusted the creative process, delving deep into songs that break the mold of what’s obvious and happening, the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee landed on melodies that pushed the envelope and songs that remind people how much we can take from our trips around the sun.

“Remember Me That Way” arrives at midnight Sept. 24 across terrestrial radio as Silver Sands Marina’s final tease. A manifest of how we can choose to see even the things that don’t work out in the best possible light, “Remember” takes a look back at what was, weighing the catastrophic against the euphoric to arrive at the decision to hold on to all that was thrilling instead of jagged.

“Long before the relationship goes down in flames or explodes from the pressure, there is so much good,” Chesney allows. “All those great memories that pulled you together, what about them? What about those things that made you more? Should you just throw them away because in the end whatever happened happened?

“That doesn’t feel like a very smart or good thing to do. And when Shane (McAnally) sent me this song, like a lot of the songs on this record, I realized it went deeper, got under the good and said something about life and how we live, or could live. It gave us a lot of power to decide how we’re going to remember something that was so important to us… I loved everything about that, because life isn’t all good or bad, but how we see it.”

Over a meandering melody, Chesney strikes a philosophical tone as he offers that perspective. A conversational lyric that line-by-line reconstructs the final days, the chorus swings up and offers the greater truth of

“Bare feet running from the lightning, bare skin kissing in the swimming pool/
Sleeping under California diamonds, driving down the One in Malibu
Girl I know it ended on a bad one, we don’t gotta be a bitter cliché
We made a lotta damn good memories, I just hope you remember me that way…”

“This album has had a lot of moments like this, those things you can only live – and gain the perspective from. When we were trying to decide on the next song to put out, this felt like something that swept you up in the music, had one of those choruses that gave you the power to really engage in your life and create something good out of something bad. Life isn’t simple, and we all face stuff that’s not easy, but maybe we can find the best life and get to somewhere better knowing how much good we found along the way.”

With the Associated Press calling the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar “one of the most consistent giants in country music for a reason,” they write Silver Sands Marina is “full-throated stadium country, with big hooks and bigger heart. You know, like all the great Chesney records.”

MYSTIC PROPHECY RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “MARCH OR DIE”

German heavy metal force MYSTIC PROPHECY has released a lyric video for their new single “March Or Die,” taken from the band’s upcoming studio album In Metal. The album will be released on November 27, 2026 via PERCEPTION – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.

Driven by classic heavy metal energy, powerful riffs and a defiant spirit, “March Or Die” is a song about standing together when everything around you descends into chaos. While its imagery draws from the battlefield, its message is rooted in everyday life: keep moving forward under pressure, face adversity head-on and refuse to give up.

Vocalist R.D. Liapakis comments:
“‘March Or Die’ may draw on the imagery of battle, but its message reaches far beyond the battlefield. At its core, the song is about human survival, perseverance and the need to keep moving forward, whatever life puts in your path. Time does not stand still, and neither can we: our actions determine the road ahead. Standing still is death – so, March Or Die!”

ENSLAVED - unveils new single 'Tales Of Trees' + announces co-headline UK & European tour with Sólstafir

Last month, progressive trailblazers Enslaved officially announced their forthcoming studio album, Mið, set for release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records. Throughout their 35-year journey, across 17 albums, the Norwegian vanguard have continually redefined the boundaries of progressive black metal, weaving Old Norse histories and sacred traditions into complex modern soundscapes. With their latest offering, Enslaved turn their gaze toward the fundamental concept of the axis: the middle, the origin, and the infinite reach of the present moment.

Building on the momentum of their latest tracks 'Solar Will' and 'Spirit Helper' (feat. Kevin Kicking Woman)', the band have now unveiled the album's next captivating single, 'Tales Of Trees'. The song uses the majesty and fragility of the natural world as a mirror for the human condition. Through a blend of complex progressive structures and searing black metal atmosphere, the band draws a poignant parallel between Mother Nature and the psyche.

Voicalist / bassist Grutle Kjellson states:

"Tales of Trees is indeed tales about trees, but perhaps not first and foremost in a botanical sense. Trees can grow, shine, and flourish, but they can also wither and burn. They need to be tended to and looked after in one way or another, and thus serve as a fitting parallel to the human mind, let alone humanity as a whole. Trees as symbols of something more than mere botanical creatures have appeared throughout history, both in mythological tales and in folklore. So, I think this tale is a fitting accompaniment the the heavy and yet dynamic tunes of this composition”

Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson adds:

“‘Tales of Trees’ can be both a tribute to our wooden relatives on this planet - who have had rather a lot of patience with us; and a metaphor for so much more. The winding time signatures of folk music and the adventurous spirit of classic prog are natural ingredients in my songwriting, and they feel particularly at home here. There is something about our kinship with trees that is both deeply familiar and wonderfully strange: everyday encounters with something we barely understand. That sense of recognition and mystery is at the heart of this song, opening another path into the world of ‘Mið’.”

To celebrate the arrival of Mið, Enslaved will hit the road across the UK and Europe in February 2027 as a co-headline with Iceland's Sólstafir, with support coming from Norway's Gaahls Wyrd.

Enslaved commented:

“Europe! In February we are heading out on a co-headlining tour with our good friends in Sólstafir. There is a kinship here that goes beyond a shared enthusiasm for questionable weather: the belief that music should be allowed to find its own path, even when it refuses to explain where it is going. Bringing ‘Mið’ into that company, and into a room with all of you, feels very right. Making a record is one part of the adventure; discovering what happens to it when we meet you out there is another. That exchange still means everything to us. See you in the flesh!”

Tickets will go on-sale on September 25 at 9am BST / 10am CESTfrom https://enslaved.no/

Shock Rock Legends GWAR Premiere HD Version of the "School's Out" Music Video

With GWAR’s 20th anniversary celebration of their 2006 opus ‘Beyond Hell’ arriving this Friday, September 25th, the band are premiering the HD version of their “School’s Out”music video, a cover of the Alice Cooper classic. The newly remastered deluxe edition, available for the first time ever on vinyl via the band’s own Pit Records, is now completely sold out through the GWAR store.

Remastered by Paul Logus (Anthrax, Killswitch Engage), the anniversary edition breathes new life into one of the band's most ambitious and theatrical releases. Alongside the remastered album, the release also includes a previously unreleased outro track recorded during the original ‘Beyond Hell’ sessions that was left off the original release.

Check Out the HD Music Video for "Schools Out" (Remastered) Below:

Originally released in 2006, 'Beyond Hell' marked a defining moment in GWAR's legendary career. Produced by Devin Townsend, the album brought together two of metal's most unique creative forces, with Townsend helping shape one of the band's most ambitious and beloved releases.

"I had been a GWAR fan since I was a kid. I loved the freedom, the metal, the spectacle, and the passion that went into it all," recalls Townsend. "I met Brockie on a tour we did together and, after cornering him in an elevator basically telling him I'd work for free, I found myself co-producing 'Beyond Hell.' Dave and Corey came to Vancouver to stay with me, and we recorded at Profile Studios. The drums and basic tracks were done at Slave Pit in Richmond, Virginia, and the whole process took about three months."

He continues, "GWAR were, and are, an amazing combination of artistic freedom, absurdity, and hard work bundled up with metal and performance. Loved them then, love them now."

Chronicling the band's descent into Hell to rescue their long-lost comrade Flattus Maximus, 'Beyond Hell' remains one of GWAR's defining releases, featuring fan favorites including "Back in Crack," "Womb With a View," "Tormentor," and "The Ultimate Bohab."

Twenty years later, 'Beyond Hell' is ready to rise once again, louder, heavier, and more gloriously blasphemous than ever before.

VOODOOLAND FEATURING THE LATE KARL COCHRAN, ALONG WITH ACE FREHLEY, JOE LYNN TURNER, JOHN CORABI AND MANY MORE, ARRIVES ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME ON OCTOBER 30TH

Since beginning his professional music career at just fourteen years old, Karl Cochran built an impressive legacy as a guitarist, songwriter, producer, and collaborator. Throughout his career, he worked, toured, and recorded with some of rock's most respected names, including Ace Frehley, Joe Lynn Turner, Eric Singer, Bob Daisley, Corky Laing, John Corabi, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin, Kristen Chenoweth, Public Enemy icon Flavor Flav, and many others.

Karl toured extensively with Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen) and became a key contributor to several of Turner's solo releases, including the acclaimed Second Hand Life in 2007. He also co-wrote "Into the Void" with Ace Frehley for KISS's Psycho Circus, which achieved platinum status worldwide following its 1998 release.

In 2000, Karl launched Voodooland with a self-released EP before expanding the project with the 2004 full-length release Give Me Air. The album showcased an all-star lineup featuring Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Dead Daisies), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow), Brent Fitz (Union, Slash), and many other renowned musicians as well writing partners Robert Mason (Warrant) and Ron Young (Little Caesar) on many of the tracks.

Reflecting on his longtime friendship and musical partnership with Karl, Joe Lynn Turner shared: "I worked with Karl for as long as I can remember. Writing, recording, and playing live shows. We were truly brothers in mind, body, and spirit. Many great times and even more great music came out of our love and friendship. His legacy will live on through the songs and videos, but he also left something else behind for us to discover and enjoy."

Now, for the very first time, the complete Voodooland collection has been remastered and repackaged for a deluxe vinyl release. Presented on stunning 180-gram blue vinyl as a double LP housed in a beautiful gatefold package, this limited edition pressing is restricted to just 300 copies worldwide.

Collectors can also secure exclusive limited bundles featuring the original Voodooland poster and Karl Cochran's signature Voodooland guitar picks, making this release a fitting tribute to one of rock's most respected musicians and collaborators.

French Folk Band SKÁLD Release Third Single "Dǫkksalir" + Lyric Video!

French dark folk entity SKÁLD release "Dǫkksalir," unveiling gentle melodies that unfold almost like a lullaby—perfectly fitting the concept of the enchanting yet frightening sirens lurking in the dark.

The song is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length album, Ørlǫg, which will be released this Friday, September 25, 2026. Ørlǫg marks SKÁLD's first release via Napalm Records and awakens ancient spirits as the band extends an invitation into times long gone but not forgotten.

Right in time to bring their new music to stages across Europe and the United Kingdom, SKÁLD are set for a major autumn UK/EU arena tour supporting The Hu, kicking off on September 29 in Glasgow.

SKÁLD about "Dǫkksalir":
"'Dokksalir' draws us into the dark depths of the sea; in the distance, the sirens' song calls to us, yet also terrifies us; mischievous spirits watch us and laugh at us; they already know we will be weak; the light no longer protects us; down below, eyes stare at you — perhaps it is you yourself watching yourself lose your way. Those siren voices are so beautiful."

Watch the lyric video for "Dǫkksalir"  below:

As the Norns weave our future, this album is a fascinating passageway into our pristine origins and the consequences of our choices. Ten new songs as stepping stones, Ørlǫg is an offering to listen, to dwell, to reflect—and to find something within yourself previously unknown. SKÁLD don’t just play music, they awaken ancient ways.

A staple band in the neofolk genre, SKÁLD deliver a striking work of art with their latest album, deferentially using their sources to keep old spirits alive and form the enchanting world of Ørlǫg. The language might sound unfamiliar, but the music still touches the soul.

SKÁLD about Ørlǫg:
"Ørlǫg is the cosmic web that influences the world and every person. Part of our Ørlǫg is determined by our birth, our past actions, and our upbringing, but Ørlǫg is not set in stone; our daily choices are constantly shaping it. What we do now and what we have done in the past determines what will happen to us in the future; we cannot escape the consequences of our actions. This album makes us question our choices — both individual and collective — and the patterns we accept or reject. The Norns weave our destiny, but we can take control of certain things: Travel, ride worlds, and grow. Each song on this album describes a situation, a place, a choice to be made. Let’s take hold of our Ørlǫg."

DAVID REECE (BANGALORE CHOIR) & ROB ROBBINS Release “Remembering Rhett Forrester”

BraveWords Records went deep into the vault to bring you two tracks that have never been heard before, recorded by David Reece (Banagalore Choir) and Rob Robbins. The songs were recorded to remember the late Rhett Forrester, famous for singing on two classic Riot albums - Restless Breed (1982) and Born in America (1983).

David Reece & Rob Robbins "Remembering Rhett Forrester” is now available to stream or purchase hi res audio downloads from Bandcamp.

Giles Lavery, A&R BraveWords Records: “I met Rob Robbins back in 2019, when I reached out to him to see if he would be interested in working on releasing some of his work with the late, great Rhett Forrester, much of which had gone unreleased. During this project and process, we came up with an idea to revisit two classic Rhett tracks. I put Rob in touch with a singer named David Reece (Bangalore Choir), who had that Rhett vibe (in more ways than one). We picked Rhett's solo tune 'Assume The Position"' and the Riot classic 'Restless Breed'! These tunes sat around for a while as Covid got in the way, but now is the perfect time to unleash them! So, get comfortable and ASSUME THE POSITION!”

David Reece & Rob Robbins - “Assume The Position” below:

In 2024, BraveWords Records released Rhett Forrester & Rob Robbins - The Complete Dr. Dirty Sessions, a collection of songs celebrating a little known chapter in the musical journey of much missed rock vocalist, the one and only... the late Rhett Forrester during his time spent living in Canada in the early '90s. Originally billed under the band-name Dr. Dirty from 1992-1993, the songs were written by Scot Gaines and Rob Robbins before Forrester joined to complete the then new band.

Produced by Robbins, this album features Forrester's distinct vocals accompanied by a talented ensemble of musicians including Rob Robbins on guitar, keys, and vocals, Rod Albon on bass, Brent Gattoni on drums and Matt Whale contributing keys on the track "Hold On". Rhett Forrester, known for his powerful voice and stage presence, takes center stage on this album.

IGGY POP joins JOAN AS POLICE WOMAN for a Powerful Reimagining of “Save Me”

Continuing the celebration of her new album 'Real Life Evolution', released via UK label Reveal Records, NYC singer-songwriter Joan As Police Woman has teamed up with the illustrious Iggy Pop on 'Save Me'. The track is one of ten fresh interpretations of songs from Joan’s 2006 debut 'Real Life' album, reimagined two decades after its original release with a new cast of collaborators and released exactly 20 years from her debut.

Joan Wasser, known as Joan As Police Woman since 2004, is a critically acclaimed musician and producer, and a sought-after collaborator, dubbed “the coolest woman in pop” (The Times) and “one of the 21st century’s best musicians” (The Economist). As a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, her music defies easy categorization, crafting her own sound that blends various genres.

"Some transformations are subtle. Others are seismic. All of them were made with an entirely new cast of collaborators. Among them are two extraordinary vocalists. The inimitable Iggy Pop — whose band I’ve had the privilege of touring with, playing keys and singing — recorded a stunning version of 'Save Me' while we were on the road in New Zealand. We had to work around the birds outside, who apparently had strong opinions about the session. Then there’s Krystle Warren, a true original and one of my favorite singers alive. Her voice is so deeply soulful that 'I Defy' feels like it thoroughly enjoyed easily slipping into its brand new groove," says Joan.

Music has a way of taking on a life of its own, evolving and revealing new meaning as the years pass. Through countless performances, the new renditions on this extraordinary album are brought to life by the brilliance of the players who helped define their sound. This remarkable opportunity to hear Joan return to the music that helped define her artistic journey brings new perspective, texture, and energy to songs that have already stood the test of time.

"My friend’s reaction when I told them who sang this? “Iggy Fucking Pop”?? And yes, I am lucky enough to have been able to record him in a professional studio in New Zealand (a hotel room next to the pool on a day off). Thank goodness for portable recording rigs," explains Joan Wasser.

"To me, Iggy is one of the great romantics. A few years ago, when I joined his band on Wurlitzer organ and vocals, I began to weep while in rehearsal for The Passenger. His voice is simply one of the greatest of all time. It holds a commanding masculinity alongside a profound connection to the fully range of human experience. This song carries that same quality I’ve always heard in him: a raw, aching desperation that few singers can touch. I am forever grateful to the “Godfather of Punk”.

The Real Life Anniversary Sessions video for 'Save' Me' was filmed at The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn by Ehud Lazin, and recorded by Adam Sachs as Joan is accompanied by Jeremy Gustin on drums and Will Graefe on guitar and vocals, the 'Real Life Anniversary Sessions)' video. Earlier, Joan shared similar intimate versions of  'Feed The Light', 'Eternal Flame', 'Flushed Chest', 'The Ride','Anyone', the title track 'Real Life', 'I Defy', and the most recent offering in this series - 'Christobel'.

"Will Graefe brings his emotionally masterful guitar work and Jeremy Gustin his remarkable rhythmic sensibility to several tracks. Parker Kindred’s inventive drum creations were the spark behind others. Thomas Bartlett unlocked a new dimension of the title track — honoring its original feeling while casting it in a warmer, amber light — and added Rhodes bass throughout," says Joan.

"This album gave me the chance to reunite, decades on, with upright bassist Tony Scherr, guitarist Oren Bloedow, and funk bassist Danny Blume — musicians whose artistry has only deepened with time."

Joan As Police Woman has released ten albums of original material, two cover albums, and an anthology. She has recorded and performed with hundreds of artists, including Afrobeat legend Tony Allen, Lou Reed, Anohni & The Johnsons, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rufus Wainwright, John Cale, David Byrne, Dave Okumu, Chris Dowd, Lau, Scissor Sisters, Sparklehorse, Beck, Laurie Anderson, Lloyd Cole, Afel Bocoum, Dave Gahan, Tanya Donelly, Damon Albarn and Gorillaz.

'Real Life Evolution' is out everywhere digitally and on CD and Limited Edition exclusive red marble vinyl on Bandcamp.  Tickets for Joan's 'Real Life 20th Anniversary Tour' -- in November 2026 and February 2027 -- can be ordered at www.joanaspolicewoman.com/tour.

IAN MUNSICK CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF IAN MUNSICK'S COWBOY BAR & WESTERN GRILL IN DEADWOOD, S.D.

On the heels of releasing his fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, on Aug. 21, Wyoming native Ian Munsick capped his Western Road to The Mountain Goat Tour last Friday (Sep. 18) in Deadwood, S.D. with the grand opening of Ian Munsick’s Cowboy Bar & Western Grill.

With a line spanning two blocks to get into the bar on Friday and Saturday morning, fans were met with sponsor activations by Schaefer Outfitter, Crown Royal and Coors, while Drew Kirby with Townsquare held a live radio broadcast.

Munsick’s friends and family welcomed the crowd and helped break in the outdoor performance stage on Friday with a daylong celebration featuring appearances by Philip Bowen, Ross Cooper, Ashland Craft, Kylie Frey, Jenna LaMaster, The Munsick Boys, Tyler Nance, Faren Rachels, Kellen Smith, Kasey Tyndall and The Mountain Goat producers Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson.

During Robinson and Spillman’s set, Munsick made a surprise appearance to thank his friends and fans alike for showing up. Addressing his co-producers, Munsick remarked, “These guys have spent thousands of hours working on my music, and it’s an honor to have them as well as all of the other singer/songwriters that flew in from all over the country to be here. Thank you guys for being here, and welcome to Ian Munsick’s Cowboy Bar & Western Grill!”

To his fans, he added, “Most importantly, thank you guys for being here. I know a lot of you drove hours and hours, or had to hop on airplanes, to be here. So thank you.”

Munsick then offered fans a unique opportunity to ask him questions about his music, the bar, and more before playing an acoustic performance of “Long Live Cowgirls.”

When asked about his favorite part of opening the bar, Munsick gave his wife Caroline the credit, sharing, “She was here from the very beginning. And the Keatings too: Arden, Alec, Gerard. They really allowed us to come in here and just do our thing. They have been a huge help, but Caroline… She told me the first time that we played the Red Dirt Fest at the Deadwood Mountain Grand five years ago, ‘We’re going to have our own bar here someday.’ And sure as shit, five years later here we are. Being able to watch my wife accomplish such an amazing feat in not a lot of time is pretty incredible.”

Ian and Caroline Munsick partnered with The Landmark Hotel & Casino to design the over 2,600 square foot space within the hotel. Personal touches throughout the bar include displays of Caroline and Ian’s first ACM Awards red carpet outfits designed by Manuel Cuevas, western inspired murals by Oglala Lakota and Mohawk Western Artist Isaiah Stewart, Munsick’s first Gold Record for Long Live Cowgirls with Cody Johnson and more.

Munsick also recruited Chef Aaron Richards to curate the bar’s menu, hand picking each item and tailoring it to appeal to kids and adults alike. Among some of his Western-inspired picks are the Wild Bill Sampler, Mountain West Spring Rolls, Western Fried Steak, Ian’s Smash Burger and more. Munsick also picked the specialty cocktails on the menu which include the Medicine Man, Ian’s Filthy Martini and Doc Mule.

On Friday evening, the bar closed from 6:30-10:00 p.m. for Munsick’s Deadwood Jam performance. Despite the show being cut short due to weather, Munsick broke the Deadwood Jam attendance record as the crowd of over 6,000 fans spilled out onto Main Street. The night ended with a sold out VIP After Party with a performance by Ryan Charles and surprise appearance by Munsick for “Stay Twangin’” and “Cowboy Killer.”

The bar’s grand opening is the latest in a month-long celebration of The Mountain Goat, which included the launch of his clothing line with Schaefer Outfitter; a pop up in Laramie, Wyo.; and his second headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in August. The Mountain Goat marks Munsick’s first independent release via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, and received critical praise upon its release with Sports Illustratedobserving “Munsick pushes deeper into the raw, organic sound of the Rocky Mountains he grew up in;” while The Tennessean proclaimed “There’s a good reason you can’t spell ‘Munsick’ without music.”

Ian Munsick’s Cowboy Bar & Western Grill grand opening continued all weekend with drink specials and performances by his band, Rocky Mountain Fever. For future updates, follow @IanMunsickCowboyBar on Instagram.

Alternative Metal Legends PRONG Unleash Explosive New Single "Fear The Sun" + Video

New York's alternative metal legends PRONG are back — and with their triumphant Napalm Records debut. Their pummeling new single "Fear The Sun" honors their home city, inciting classic pit violence of the CBGB variety. Legendary frontman Tommy Victor's lyrics are forked and biting. After countless world tours and becoming mainstays at seminal festivals like Wacken and Brutal Assault, PRONG's legacy is undeniable, carrying the banner for the genre.

About "Fear The Sun," Tommy Victor states:
"I think we went back into time on this song. It's a modernized version of the groove metal basics PRONG laid a foundation for back with Beg To Differ. Lyrically, 'Fear The Sun' reflects upon living with no seasonal changes, metaphorically."

Check out the official static video for "Fear the Sun" Below;

Order Your Copy of Prong HERE.

As the band's mission statement, Prong incorporates the well of styles their legacy is built on. Blistering thrash sections, open into lush choruses on opening anthem "The Banner," before somehow pushing the intensity even further on "New Commission." "The Uprising" reintroduces the band's industrial edge, weaponizing textured synths over a pulsating two-step, before "Uncertain Truth" flexes its melodic chops, offering a transcendently sweet hook. Immediately the band dropkicks listeners in the chest with the pummeling "Fear The Sun" inciting classic New York Hardcore pit violence. Iconic vocalist and guitarist Tommy Victor's chops come out in full swing on "Proportionate Response," a smoldering incitement of retaliatory justice, before the blistering kicks of "Simulated Drowning" propel us forward. Album closer "Our Continuance" brings things to a cataclysmic close with its menacingly methodical pulse and pummelingly discordant breakdowns, tied together with a lush chorus amplified with swelling synth textures.

Mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap, the album sounds crisp and punchy, Victor's biting lyrics confrontational and infiltrating, driving listeners to contemplate complex matters like the validity of truth, self-inhibitors, and altruism. Dynamically bold, ideologically driven, and melodically infectious, Prong honors their legacy, reminding us why the band has had such a successful longevity.

FOGHAT lead singer/guitarist Scott Holt takes center stage on the band’s soul-stirring take on the Elmore James blues classic, “It Hurts Me Too,” the second single released today from the upcoming triple-vinyl LIVE & LOUD ACROSS THE U.S.A. It arrives ahead of the album’s October 30 release on Foghat Records, distributed by Select-O-Hits, a division of Sun Records.

The video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube page HERE and is available on all digital outlets. The album can be pre-ordered HERE, which will be sold as two gold vinyl discs, along with a bonus third red vinyl disc (along with a double CD) that will include a reissue of the fan favorite Earl & the Agitators (aka FOGHAT) record, SHAKEN & STIRRED(produced/mixed/mastered by guitarist Bryan Bassett), which has never been available on vinyl until now.

Recorded live in 2024, “It Hurts Me Too” finds FOGHAT returning to the deep blues foundation upon which the band was built from their days with Savoy Brown. Written by Hudson Whittaker, it was first recorded by Tampa Red in 1940 and later immortalized by the great Elmore James. The song has traveled through generations of blues musicians, and in FOGHAT’s hands it becomes something immediate, raw, and deeply personal. Scott doesn’t simply sing the blues, he reaches inside the song and makes every word, note and silence count.

“This is the kind of song Scott was born to sing,” says FOGHAT founding drummer Roger Earl. “He doesn’t just play the blues; he understands where it comes from and what it supposed to feel like. Every night we play this song he takes us somewhere different. I’m sitting behind him listening, and I still get chills.”

It’s the follow-up to the album’s first single, “My Babe,” which was released August 14 on all digital outlets HERE. The video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube page HERE.

Foghat has never been a museum piece. It’s a living, working band.

Founding drummer Roger Earl remains at its heart, and along with Scott is joined by longtime lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett, who has been not only a band member, but also the band’s producer and engineer since 1999(who had also played with “Lonesome” Dave Peverett for many years prior to that), along with bassist/vocalist Rodney O’Quinn, who joined in 2015 after being hand-picked by longtime bassist Craig MacGregor who sadly passed in 2018.

“A band is more than a list of names from one moment in time,” says Earl. “It’s the music, the history, the people who have carried it forward and the connection we still have with the fans every night. Bryan, Scott, and Rodney are not pretending to be anyone else. They have each brought their own history, talent, and heart to Foghat, and this band is playing with as much passion as we EVER have.”

Same name, different musicians, same spirit. One continuing story. It’s about the music! It’s not a disconnected side story. It is part of the same musical journey: longtime friends discovering powerful chemistry, writing, and recording together and ultimately becoming the FOGHAT heard today.

Epic Heavy Metal Newcomers UNCHAINED VENGEANCE Announce Debut Album, Unleash First Single

From the battle-scarred strongholds of Portland, OR rises a new force in epic heavy metal: UNCHAINED VENGEANCE. The newcomers are pleased to now make their debut with 'Unbound and Unforgiving,' an anthemic offering with epic soundscapes that conjure the feeling of valiantly riding into battle on horseback with sword and mace in hand. To celebrate this forthcoming record, the band is now unleashing the very first single, "The Whisper of Sorrowsbane," along with a lyric video. The clip can be found below .

'Unbound and Unforgiving' is due on October 30, 2026 via Nameless Graves Records. It can be pre-ordered now HERE.

From the battle-scarred strongholds of Portland, Oregon rises a new force in Epic Heavy Metal: UNCHAINED VENGEANCE.

Forged by the union of powerhouse vocalist Nick Courtney (former member of Vicious Rumors and the acclaimed Iron Maiden tribute band Fear of the Dark) and multi-instrumentalist Nick Wusz (of Dolven and Travellers Rest), UNCHAINED VENGEANCE arrives with their debut full-length assault, Unbound and Unforgiving.

This is a journey into an age long forgotten—an time where honor outweighs gold, where warriors carve their legends in steel, and where the sword triumphs over sorcery. Across ten triumphant tracks, UNCHAINED VENGEANCE unleashes a relentless barrage of thunderous riffs, soaring vocals, galloping rhythms, and heroic melodies destined to echo across the battlefield.

From the bond between warrior and blade in "The Whisper of Sorrowsbane," to the condemnation of false champions in "False Knight," and the bittersweet return to a fallen homeland in "Only Ruins Remain," Unbound and Unforgiving weaves tales of courage, loss, revenge, and redemption. Majestic acoustic passages and contemplative interludes, masterfully performed by dungeon synth maestro Fen Walker, provide moments of reflection before the next charge into glory.

Adorned with breathtaking cover art by Silvana Massa and a battle-ready logo crafted by Brendan Elliot, this debut stands as a banner for all who still believe in the warrior spirit.

Raise your steel. Break your chains. March into the fire.

The age of UNCHAINED VENGEANCE has begun.

Carved in blood…Forged in fire…Unbound and Unforgiving

Phoenix Groovers/ Thrashers INCITE Release Lyric Video For Abrasive Track "Chucked Off"

INCITE present a new lyric video offering for their ferocious track, "Chucked Off." A raging sonic assault, the song calls out a lack of empathy and false claims of victimhood from individuals who refuse to take accountability for their actions. "Chucked Off" is taken from their critically acclaimed 2025 album Savage New Times, released via Reigning Phoenix Music. INCITE are currently on tour around the US supporting SOULFLY and NAILBOMB.

Richie Cavalera comments on the new release:

"'Chucked Off' is about the collective of our current society. Everyone has such a short temper with this victim mentality and it sucks. People expect the best, their way, and instantly or else they’re not satisfied. People need to take more accountability for themselves and how their lives have turned out and not blame it on everyone else. The meaning along with the riffs and awesome drum work Lennon does on this song make it one of my favorites off the new album. Metalheads come catch it live every night on our current tour."

Void Sector Zero Sign to Season of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Void Sector Zero.

After orbiting each other for years, with the gravitational pull of the sun, Void Sector Zero brings together three of extreme metal’s brightest burning stars in guitarist Christian Muenzner (Necrophagist, ex-Obscura, ex-Alkaloid), vocalist and bassist Alex Weber (Revocation, Malignancy, Exist), and drummer Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth, Abigail Williams). While inspired by past greats, their new band rips a hole through the space-time continuum with a modern spin on progressive thrash metal.

“We are excited to announce that Void Sector Zero has signed with Season of Mist”, Muenzner says. “I’ve always wanted to play tech-thrash. I was listening to bands like Coroner, Voivod, Toxik, Martyr, Hexenhaus and Aspid before I got into technical death metal”.

“When I decided to start my own band in this style, I thought of Alex and Gabe”, Muenzner continues. “Not only are they both great players, but I knew from our time in Obscura that we had great chemistry both on and off stage. We can’t wait to share our debut album with you very soon!”.

Watch the trailer for Void Sector Zero’s upcoming single Below:

The vast world of extreme metal is governed by supernatural forces. So when three of its most hellaciously bright stars align, the creative explosion is more powerful than a supernova.

After orbiting each other for years, Void Sector Zero brings together the otherworldly talents of guitarist Christian Muenzner (Necrophagist, ex-Obscura, ex-Alkaloid), vocalist and bassist Alex Weber (Revocation, Malignancy, Exist), and drummer Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth, Abigail Williams). While inspired by past greats, their new band ventures into an alien dimension that’s fun, fast, fresh and frightening. Their soon-to-be-announced debut album shreds a hole through the space-time continuum with its modern spin on progressive thrash metal.

Lineup

Christian Muenzner - Guitars, Synth

Alex Weber - Vocals, Bass

Gabe Seeber - Drums
