ROB ZOMBIE UNLEASHES NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR "TARANTULA"

Rock and metal icon ROB ZOMBIE has released the official music video for ‘Tarantula,’ another standout track from his latest studio album, The Great Satan, available now via Nuclear Blast Records. The video arrives as fans continue to celebrate Zombie's acclaimed eighth solo album, which has earned widespread praise from critics and listeners alike.

A favorite among fans since the album's release, ‘Tarantula’ now gets a fitting visual counterpart. Bathed in stark yellow light and shot with a gritty, stripped-down aesthetic, the performance-focused video captures Zombie and his band tearing through the track with relentless force and precision.

Released earlier this year, The Great Satan marked Zombie's first studio album in five years and featured standout cuts including ‘Punks and Demons,’ ‘Heathen Days,’ ‘(I'm a) Rock 'N' Roller,’ ‘F.T.W. 84,’ ‘The Black Scorpion,’ and ‘Tarantula.’ The record further cemented his status as one of heavy music's most distinctive creative voices, delivering another collection of memorable, larger-than-life anthems.

Progressive Rock Duo DATURA LODGE Present New Single "Stone" Featuring Ben Karas (THANK YOU SCIENTIST)

Fulfilling the 'rock' component of their progressive sound in true DATURA LODGE style, the new single release, "Stone", unveils the heavier side of the duo's music. Featuring Ben Karas (THANK YOU SCIENTIST) on violin, the track delivers DATURA LODGE's distinctive melodic edge with humorous contrasting lyrics.

In this high-octane rock offering, fast-paced distorted rhythms and driving percussion are interspersed with melodic-led sections and powerful vocal harmonies. Technical guitar solos and Ben Karas's electrifying violin solo introduce further intrigue into the musical arrangement of "Stone".

DATURA LODGE also bring a playful aspect to this new track. The minor tonality of the music intentionally 'clashes' against the nonsensical quality of the lyrics. "I was listening to Lou Reed’s 'middle-aged man era' albums a lot and love how his lyrics are rooted in reality but also very funny". Explains "W". "'Stone' is my third-rate impression of that."

The band's debut self-titled album, Datura Lodge, is scheduled for release later this year via ARQUEN Records.

Datura Lodge was produced by DATURA LODGE and Ben Karas. Tracks 1-5 were recorded at Frightbox Recording in Passaic, NJ, while tracks 6-9 were recorded at Frost Gauntlet Recording in Lyndhurst, NJ, all with engineer Ben Karas who mixed the album. The release was mastered by Andy VanDette at Evolve Mastering. The cover artwork for Datura Lodge was created by Samantha Feyerabend-Muljat.

Across the album, DATURA LODGE is joined by Adam Holzman on keyboards and Russell Holzman performing drums, with Ben Karas lending violin to "Stone".

About DATURA LODGE:

Musical inspiration is primarily drawn from legendary progressive rock acts including GENESIS, KING CRIMSON, THE MARS VOLTA, and RUSH. DATURA LODGE strives to inject approachability into their sound while delivering hard-hitting hooks. Taking a bold creative direction, the band incorporates unexpected twists and turns across their tracks.

KIVEL RECORDS Announce the Signing of SCAR CHAMBER and the Band’s Debut Album UGLY ON THE INSIDE

Kivel Records is excited and proud to announce something we have been secretly working on for quite some time… SCAR CHAMBER! Founded and formed by guitarist Ron Freschi (Babylon A.D.) and lead singer Jeff Winslow, they have compiled an 11 song album of hard hitting Rock N Roll, that showcases Ron's signature sound that helped forge the music and sound of Babylon A.D.

The album UGLY ON THE INSIDE comes out July 21st on Kivel Records. Pre order your copy at www.kivelrecords.com/store the first 100 copies come with a generous goody bag of limited edition items, including a signed CD! Making this release even more exciting for us, Kivel Records has partnered up with BraveWords Records to service the digital distribution of the album. The first single, UGLY ON THE INSIDE can be purchased and streamed at Bandcamp, along with 24 bit hi-res digital pre-orders for the entire album. Visit bravewordsrecords.bandcamp.com

This isn't the same old same old for Ron though, and it certainly isn't his  experimental art album. This is an extension of what people have come to expect and love about his playing and songwriting. Where he is pushing his boundaries, but without changing who he is. Teamed with Jeff, this is a dynamic rock n roll duo that brings it. Joining Ron and Jeff is Dylan Soto on drums (Babylon A.D.). He brings his hard hitting energy and entertaining live show to the band, which will no doubt help keep the beat for this outfit. After the album was completed the band needed a bass player that would be able to match the needed energy on stage with the rest of the group. Enter seasoned bass player and fan favorite, Jaron Gulino (Lynch Mob/Heavens Edge) helping finalize the line up.

Scar Chamber's sound is a dark and edgy Rock N Roll rollercoaster ride for fans of bands like Babylon A.D., Lynch Mob and Harem Scarem. Get in, buckle up, keep your head down and enjoy the ride.

THE XCERTS Share Anthemic New Single "bury you"

Today, THE XCERTS share "bury you," the latest single from their forthcoming sixth album, 'i think i want to go home now.,' out July 10th via FLG Records. To mark the release, the band will embark on a run of intimate in-store shows across the UK throughout July, including dates at Rough Trade Nottingham, Crash Records in Leeds, and Assai in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen.

The band has also been confirmed as special guests to Twin Atlantic, who will tour throughout October. All support dates and in-stores are listed below.

The song arrives towards the end of the album's emotional arc, and carries with it a shift in register - less about the weight of what's been endured and more about what to do with it. Written in the closing stages of the record, "bury you" is a song about tough love: the kind of honest, unflinching conversation that close friends have with each other when things get hard, and the kind you eventually have with yourself. Lyrically, it walks the line between addressing someone else and addressing himself - the chorus functions as both an instruction outward and a reminder inward.

Speaking about the track, Macleod says:

"Towards the end of the writing process, I was taking stock, and I wanted something that had - what's the right way to put it? - not a sense of hope, but something that's almost meant to feel like a sobering conversation. I had a lot of those with close friends of mine who were also having tough times during that period, so I wanted to have a song that represents tough love. It also acts as a reflective conversation and a statement of intent for myself. 'This ain't your first rodeo' is a funny line, but I've found myself saying it a lot, and it's true."

The album was written by all three members together in a room, something the band had not done since their early records, and that closeness is felt throughout. Recorded by Larry Hibbittat Beehive Studios, its ten songs document two years of genuine turbulence, including the passing of bassist Jordan Smith's mother and Macleod's father's cancer diagnosis, processed in real time and in company.

'i think i want to go home now.' arrives July 10th via FLG Records.

LUTHER Sign To Long Branch Records + Drop "Giving The People What They Want" Video

Following their recent performance at Rock For People (CZ) and after opening for bands such as Escuela Grind, Silly Goose, Urne, and Predatory Void, Berlin-based alternative metal up-and-comers LUTHER sign to Long Branch Records and drop their label debut single "Giving The People What They Want."

LUTHER's take on alternative metal is groovy, heavy, and even a little weird. Centered around electric guitar, their songs merge prog metal, nu metal, and hardcore. Borderline-theatrical screams and clean vocals hold your hand through the night. The band explores isolation, betrayal, rage, and escapism as its core lyrical themes. LUTHER have drawn comparisons to artists such as KORN, POPPY, and KIM DRACULA, resonating with fans of genre-bending alternative metal.

"Giving The People What They Want" is an alternative metal track with strong nu metal influences in the verses, progressive guitar layering in the choruses accompanied by hardcore-style vocals, and pre-choruses built around deathcore-like breakdowns. It perfectly captures LUTHER's vision of metal music: The embrace of metal's archetypes to create something exciting, dynamic, maybe a little weird, but definitely never boring.

"I'll give the people what they want!" shouted just before a drop, encapsulates the lyrical meaning of the track. If life dooms you to constant rejection, endless challenges, and unfair circumstances, find self-realization in romanticizing and dramatizing your role as an entertainer. You might even discover that you’re the best at it!

Stream the single here.

Watch the video for "Giving The People What They Want" below.

The single's production, mixing, and mastering were handled by Enrico Tiberi, current vocalist of The Ocean Collective.

LUTHER were founded at the end of 2024 by musicians who already had a history in Berlin's underground metal and alternative scene. In 2025, the band debuted with its first single, "Next Time Send a Killer," a song that generated unexpected organic engagement across social media and streaming platforms.

The band just played Rock for People 2026 in the Czech Republic, was announced for Reeperbahn Festival 2026, and was recently invited to a double-set show in Quebec City, Canada, for the Envol et Macadam Festival, headlined by Bad Religion and Hatebreed.

LUTHER’s upcoming debut album is rumored to draw influence from bands such as KORN; LOATHE, GRAYHAVEN, THE MARS VOLTA, and SYSTEM OF A DOWN. Stay tuned if that's your thing.

HANNAH HARPER SIGNS WITH WME FOR REPRESENTATION

Hannah Harper, American Idol’s Season 24 champion, signs with WME for global representation.

At just 9 years old, Harper embarked on her musical journey with her family’s bluegrass gospel group, The Harper Family. This musical heritage passed down through generations and set the stage for Harper’s profound passion for songwriting and music ministry. The Missouri native later became a worship leader at a local church. Now a solo act, the 19 Recordings/Atlantic Records artist combines years of performing experience with her uniquely personal insights that reflect her faith, family and motherhood journey.

“It’s a blessing to work alongside people who share the same goal: creating great music, serving others well and pointing people to Jesus along the way. I immediately connected with Morgan Kenney’s vision, heart and the way she champions the people she serves,” shared Harper. “I’m honored to be represented by WME and excited to see what doors this partnership may open. Grateful is an understatement.”

"I have tremendous admiration for Hannah. Her authenticity is rooted in her unwavering faith and strong family values. She possesses a rare combination of artistry, character and star power that resonates both on and off the stage,” said WME’s Kenney. “We are honored to welcome her to WME and look forward to helping build the next chapter of her already remarkable journey."

Harper’s Idol audition song, “String Cheese,” connected deeply with audiences, generating more than 120 million on demand views, leaving Carrie Underwood to opine her voice “just makes everything sound just beautiful and tender and like a lullabye.” The original song showcases her heartfelt story as a 25-year-old mother of three facing post-partum depression while tackling motherhood day-to-day.

Following her American Idol win, the singer-songwriter hits the road supporting Brad Paisley’s Live 2026 Tour and Lauren Alaina’s The Stages Tour on select dates this fall.

Balancing musical aspirations with the joys and challenges of raising a young family, Harper remains committed to authenticity and excellence in her craft.

Represented by WME agents Alex Sera, Carlile Willett and Kenney, for more information on Harper and upcoming tour dates, please visit www.hannahharpermusic.com

CARLY PEARCE TO RELEASE FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM

Today, GRAMMY, CMA and ACM-Award winning country star Carly Pearce announces her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Honest Woman, will arrive August 28 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Pre-order, pre-add, and pre-save the album HERE , including new track “She Don’t” which dropped today alongside the album announcement. Available now on all platforms, the song further highlights Carly’s witty lyricism and love of storytelling with her traditional country sensibilities for a sure-to-be fan favorite. Watch the visualizer Below;

Co-produced by Pearce with longtime collaborator Ben West, Honest Woman sees Pearce embrace every aspect of who she was, is, and will become through narrative-driven lyrics and a sonic return to form. Including features with Riley Green, Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle, the album leans into her bluegrass roots and focuses on authentic country craftsmanship. Honest Woman is an ‘honest’ portrayal of life’s journey delivered by a woman who understands that it’s the fullness of time that defines you.

"When I started making Honest Woman, I found myself rediscovering who I am and why I wanted to be a country music singer in the first place,” says Pearce. “This album takes me back to the beginning of my story, where the sounds of classic country and bluegrass music shaped who I am. I’m so proud of this body of work, and I truly feel like it’s my best yet.”

Anticipation was at an all-time high during CMA Fest as the phrase “Honest Woman” was seen in various places around Nashville – from her “Carly’s Closet” charity pop-up that raised $20,000 for the CMA Foundation, to the sidewalks outside her CMA Artist of the Day panel moderated by Hillary Scott of Lady A and performances at Nissan Stadium, Billboard Live at Category 10, SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour and Spotify House – leading Pearce’s fans to speculate if Honest Womanwas the title of her forthcoming album.

In addition to today’s release, “She Don’t,” Pearce’s forthcoming album will include current single and “blockbuster duet” (Billboard) with Riley Green, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” along with the “delightfully snarky & sassy” (Music Row) “You Can Have Him,” “honest anthem” (Rolling Stone) “Church Girl” and the “unfiltered, introspective” (Billboard) “Dream Come True.” As Pearce is readying Honest Woman, each track continues to define “the tone for her most vulnerable era yet” (The Tennessean).

To support the album, Pearce will be performing special two-night residencies across North America. Kicking off September 10 with two nights in Detroit, Pearce will bring her “Honest Woman: Up Close” live shows presented by Conundrum Wines to intimate venues in Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Toronto and Boston before concluding with two nights in New York City. Belle Frantz will join Pearce as support.

Tickets will be available starting Tuesday, June 23 at 12pm local time with the Official Carly Pearce Fan Club presale, where members can redeem their code for tickets to the tour. To sign up for the fan club, fans can visit fanclub.carlypearce.com. General tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, June 26 at 10am local time.

BADSQUATCH Releases New Single "FCK"

Yet another bold release from brand new artist BADSQUATCH, the third
single from his upcoming album (due in late 2026) embodies the word
”bold” in the song’s name alone. Now he’s dropping a monstrously heavy
track, simply titled “FCK”, directly after the light-hearted second single that
was a fun and groovy 80’s workout tune.

It’s getting more and more obvious that this artist doesn’t play by the rules
that the industry has long been calling for: consistent sound and
easy-to-swallow material. Instead, this new release is once again
completely removed and different from the first two, with huge sounding
guitars, dark and thundering basslines complementing brooding drums,
and a rock vocal performance that truly digs deep with not only timbre and
delivery, but also an honest vulnerability.

This song, with its connotations toward an expletive for a title, ironically,
does not contain a single explicit word in the lyrics aside from the allusion
in the name of the piece itself. Instead, the words craft a picture of the
gut-wrenching moment one feels their heart fully break.

This text of such a powerful yet dreaded moment in life is painted with
music sounding reminiscent of alarms and panic going off inside the head
and heart. The guitars sweep from ear to ear in the mix, utilizing whammy
and wah pedals to create a really eerie baseline before things come
crashing in with the frantic energy of heavier and heavier riffs. All of this
sets the stage for the big man to belt out a story about his experience and
relationship with pain itself.

Considering the title of this song along with the full picture of the music
and lyrics, this next release helps illuminate just a little more of this
curious, new artist. BADSQUATCH seems to be carefully orchestrating
which songs he’s sharing with us first, pushing the envelope of industry
norms in modern release strategies, addressing uncomfortable subjects
once again, and sharing what appears to be deeply personal moments in
genre-defying aural statements. When asked about his inspirations behind
the music, BADSQUATCH’s usual reply is that he’s simply sharing his
experiences on the very personal journey that is discovering what it actually means to be human, and there's nothing more human than heartbreak.

BraveWords Records Announces the Signing of COLIN PETERIK Single “Swans” Now Available on Bandcamp

BraveWords Records is pleased to announce the signing of COLIN PETERIK. Colin is a “Power Pop” master of hooks and melodies and when you realize that his father is the legendary Jim Peterik, who co-wrote the iconic Rocky III anthem "Eye of the Tiger”, it makes complete sense. Colin is putting the finishing touches on a new album due out later this year, but in the meantime you can check out his latest single “Swans” below.

Colin talks about signing with BraveWords Records, “Giles, Michael, Tim and BraveWords have believed in me since day one, so it was exciting and surreal when they asked me to be on the label. I look forward to doing big things with them, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join their stacked roster as a recording artist”.

Colin shares the backstory for the songs “Swans”, “My Dad (Jim Peterik) introduced me to Prefab Sprout about 5 years ago. He has showed me so much great music over the years, but this underrated British group must have slipped through the cracks!

Quickly I devoured their entire discography. I was obsessed with the lead singer/songwriter, Paddy McAloon and how he weaved words with melodies like I’ve never heard before.

“Swans” is a beautiful song from their 1997 album “Andromeda Heights”. The protagonist warns his lover that he’s bad news, and there’s still time for her to turn around. Paddy’s silky-smooth vocals express longing; using swans and foxes as metaphors.

I found myself singing it while waiting in a never-ending line at Disney World with my kids, and began working on the track that very night. When we got home, I recorded and finished the track. It was a lot of fun to get into it- I could almost feel the psychic connection with Paddy, singing his lyrics on the mic.

The original version’s production is very minimal, with no percussion, just ethereal keyboards. I decided to take it in a lo-fi hip-hop/jazz direction, which I think fits the mood well. We added some sax, flute, and horns as a finishing touch. I’m very happy with the result, and I hope Paddy has a chance to hear it someday. I’d love to meet him one day.”

KING ULTRAMEGA Unveil Tribute Cover Of SOUNDGARDEN's "Loud Love", Ft. Lzzy Hale

In tribute to Chris Cornell, KING ULTRAMEGA presents a high octane interpretation of SOUNDGARDEN's "Loud Love" joined by Lzzy Hale (HALESTORM) leading on vocals, Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT / METAL ALLEGIANCE) on guitars and drum performance by Dave Krusen (PEARL JAM). KING ULTRAMEGA are raising funds and awareness for MusiCares, the Recording Academy’s nonprofit that provides mental health services, addiction recovery support, and emergency assistance to members of the music community.

"Loud Love" appears on SOUNDGARDEN's 1989 full length Louder Than Love and remains a fan favorite that showcases Chris Cornell's incredible range. Wanting to honor Cornell and the iconic track, and evoke the spirit of this era, Mark Menghi's process for this release saw him take an old school approach in order to achieve the analogue warmth of the original recording.

On the new release, Lzzy Hale shares: “If there was ever a time to be spreading a message of LOUD LOVE, It’s now.”

Produced by Mark Menghi, "Loud Love" was mixed and mastered by Josh Wilbur. The cover artwork design is by Mark Menghi and the accompanying video is by Tom Flynn.

Lzzy Hale comments on her approach for tackling vocal duties on "Loud Love", "I don’t think I’ve ever been a good imitator, but I did try to put myself in Chris’ shoes. It’s more about placing yourself inside the song so you can steal its soul. I like to imagine I am the writer and then go about making it my own whilst honoring the original."

On drawing inspiration from Chris, Hale continues, "I feel like I’m always learning something from Chris. Every few years I’ll discover something deeper in his lyrics, or higher in his range. But there is an authenticity that comes with Chris that can’t be taught or trained for. I believe every word he writes. I’m inspired by his control over his animalistic vocal range, and his poetry, but also how honestly he sings."

Alex Skolnick explains his process on preserving Kim Thayil’s guitar style, "Kim’s playing has a strong sense of groove as well as a rawness and honesty that was especially refreshing when this song first came out (a time of much overproduction & perfection in hard rock). I tried to strike a good balance between referencing and respecting Kim‘s original parts, while also bringing some of my own flavor and ideas, without getting in the way."

Skolnick reveals what it was like working with Menghi outside of METAL ALLEGIANCE: "For the most part, Mark and I have recorded originals in Metal Allegiance, songs that started with a blank page. This time we had a solid road map. In the past, once we had drum tracks, it didn’t matter which of us followed up or whether we tracked separately or simultaneously. This time, we were very dependent on capturing a live performance together in the studio, which was a fun challenge. This tune seemed to require the bass and guitar being locked in while going to tape, I think it’s probably true of most of the Soundgarden catalogue."

Mark Menghi discusses his choice of line-up for "Loud Love": "I knew I wanted Dave to play drums on this tune from the jump. Who better than the dude that played drums on arguably one of the greatest records of all-time and whom also helped lay the groundwork for the Seattle explosion in the late 80’s/early 90’s? I was already in the studio with my Metal Allegiance bro Alex Skolnick putting this finishing touches on a then new Metal Allegiance tune (which turned out to be Black Horizon) when I asked 'Hey would you wanna play on this King Ultramega track?' I just off-the-cuff asked him… what makes it better is I said, “see that old school tape machine over there in the corner? We are going to record our parts together, live, at the same time, the old school way on reel-to-reel!'"

He continues, "The last piece of the 'Loud Love' puzzle was the amazing Lzzy Hale. Having her complete the lineup for this tune is truly humbling. If you listen to the OG version of 'Loud Love', Chris’ vocals are just absolute insanity and who better than Lzzy to tackle this? Lzzy has complete vocal dominance, carries such a strong presence and quite frankly is one of the best vocalists in modern rock today."

A key component of this cover is the analogue production. On taking this creative decision Menghi explains, "It was very important to me to keep this particular song as old school as possible. I wanted to catch the warmth, vibe and feel of the original track which meant (to me) recording to tape, in the same room together and live. Imagine that? A world where you record with other humans in the same room and in analog no less! Reel-to-reel tape recording is a lost art form and was very excited to go back to the recording days of the past for this track. Alex and I are no strangers in recording together; but this was the first time we have ever recorded live together, with real amps blasting and the tape machine running. Truly was a special feel, to capture that live energy."

Dave Krusen of PEARL JAM, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, opens up about revisiting this classic SOUNDGARDEN track. "Seattle was a very turbulent place in the late 80s / early 90s and I think the best thing to come out of it was all the great music. I was a huge Soundgarden fan. I got to meet Chris and Matt when we (Pearl Jam) were working on 10 and they were working on Temple Of the Dog. It was a huge thrill for me. The fact that I was asked to be a part of this King Ultramega record was a huge honor. I was very intimidated to try and tackle the drum parts in 'Loud Love', but the guys I was recording with made it no pressure and a lot of fun."

Krusen shares a personal memory of Chris, "I'll never forget in 1993 backstage at a Pearl Jam show, Chris came up and said 'Hey Dave, it's Chris. Do you remember me?' every time I talked to him, he was always such a sweet guy to me. I miss him and his music. Plus Matt has always been so gracious and cool to me, letting me share his drum throne, was also a huge honor."

The "Loud Love" Lineup Is:

Vocals: Lzzy Hale (HALESTORM)
Guitars: Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT / METAL ALLEGIANCE)
Bass: Mark Menghi
Drums: Dave Krusen (PEARL JAM)

Wailin Storms Stoke Fresh Dread on Howling New Single “Dead End”

Recipients of high praise from NPR, The Needle Drop, Brooklyn Vegan, Decibel and Metal Hammer, Wailin Storms have caught fire since migrating to North Carolina in 2014. Now, the Durham natives are fanning the flames even higher with their upcoming fifth album and first for Season of Mist. On The Arsonist, the band deliver a fiery baptism of Southern gothic rock.

Today, Wailin Storms are premiering a suspenseful music video for the third and final advanced single from The Arsonist with Treble. With the ghost of David Lynch riding passenger seat, “Dead End” takes a harrowing post-punk turn.

‘Dead End’ is about seeing yourself after you die”, Wailin Storms vocalist and guitarist Justin Storms says. “It’s the first song on The Arsonist and one of the first that was written for the album. It flowed out of me while I was messing around with my Strymon El Capistan guitar pedal. It sets the tone by jolting you straight into a fever dream that’s filled with cryptic messages from beyond.

While shrouded by a doomy and dreamy atmosphere, The Arsonist is inflamed by real life anxieties. Taking inspiration from René Magritte, the album’s cover art, which is heavily shadowed except for a tiny house gone up in flames, was painted by Storms himself. “These songs are steeped in the trials and tribulations of everyday life”, he says. The title track is slowly engulfed by love’s eternal flame. “Like the wind controls the sea”, he croons over the gentle sway of his guitar. “You always had a hold on me”. The thunderous climax surges with such feverish intensity that it threatens to send the night of passion up in smoke.

Amidst the wreckage of The Arsonist, Wailin Storms do find a semblance of peace. “It’s All Dark Now Where Your Eyes Used to Be” ends the album with a ghostly flicker of gothic romance. “I know a place where we can sit and grow old”, Storms offers with grim assurance. A piano tolls like death’s bell as he glimpses up at a church that resembles a skull. “There’s a sliver of hope in coming to terms with death”, he concludes. “Life is temporary and that's where its beauty lies”.

On The Arsonist, Wailin Storms deliver a fiery baptism of Southern gothic rock.

GREEN LUNG - reveal new track/video 'Necropolitan Line'

Albion's masters of folklore, riffs and legends return with another slab of tomb-shaking, crypt-kicking occult rock. Green Lung have revealed their latest track, 'Necropolitan Line', a Motorhead-meets-Deep Purple subterranean rampage across London's infamous Necropolis Railway.

'Necropolitan Line' is taken from Green Lung's forthcoming new record, Necropolitandue out on Friday September 11th 2026. A monumental portrait of the power of nature over the dreams and dominion of humankind, Necropolitan is also a grand celebration of the occult lore and heavy music scene of the band’s birthplace, the city of London.

Green Lung stated:
"Is there a more fitting subject for a Green Lung song than the Necropolis Railway, a real-life train line that carried corpses and mourners across London in the late 19th Century? Mix in some inspiration from 1972's London Underground-set shocker Death Line, a madcap neoclassical organ/guitar duel that evokes Richie Blackmore and Jon Lord at their finger blistering best, and a record Lung BPM of 180, and you have the second single from our fourth album. We can't wait to play this one live for the first time at the Acid Bath show in Manchester on Thursday. Mind the doors!"

The video, directed by Tracy Mathewson and featuring animation from Joseph Brett, is a tribute to the early 70s German TV show Beat Club, which featured Lung antecedents such as Sabbath, Purple and Lucifer's Friend. Featuring an introduction from longtime roadie Metal Joe, we enter the band's own warped version of the show, titled Crypt Club. Will future episodes follow? Only time will tell...

A cult band in every sense of the word, Green Lung emerged from London’s heavy rock scene with self-released debut EP Free the Witch (2018).

Drawing on a host of peculiarly British musical influences, from doomy hard rock to pastoral prog and psych to the Hammer Horror theatrics of the NWOBHM, the band have swiftly risen to the forefront of the UK metal scene.

Lyrically celebrating the folklore, myths and legends of Britain, they conjure the wild and witchy spirit of their forebears for a new generation.

Green Lung have released three critically acclaimed albums, Woodland Rites (2019), Black Harvest (2021) and This Heathen Land (2023). They have toured internationally with Clutch, Opeth and Unto Others, and performed on festival stages from Roadburn to Download. Their latest album This Heathen Land landed at #1 on the UK’s Official Rock and Metal Album Chart.

AMBERIAN DAWN Share "Moon" Video — WATCH + LISTEN

FIRST ALBUM WITH NEW SINGER NICOLE WILLERTON, TEMPTATION'S GATES, RELEASES JUNE 26 VIA NAPALM RECORDS — PRE-ORDER

Finnish symphonic metal band AMBERIAN DAWN push into their new era with an invocation to the "Moon." The fourth single off of their upcoming album, Temptation's Gates, shows yet another facet of their fresh sound, turning up the speed to blast beat intensity. Still, "Moon," which features prominent keyboard and guitar solos, remains magical up until its unexpected end. The final screams show the change the band is making with their new singer, Nicole Willerton—AMBERIAN DAWN are more determined than ever. The accompanying album, Temptation's Gates, will be out this coming Friday, June 26 —make sure to get your copy of their first step into the new era! Additionally, the band will play a record release show in Helsinki on June 28 at the official afterparty of Tuska Festival.

Tuomas Seppälä about "Moon":
"I composed this song just a few weeks after we had recruited our new vocalist. From the very beginning, it carried an exceptionally dark and haunting atmosphere, and I wanted to preserve that exact feeling throughout the entire process. For the first time in my career, I decided to introduce growling vocals into the arrangement. It felt completely natural in this song, and I knew Nicole could deliver it with the right intensity and emotion. It had been a long time since I last recorded a guitar solo myself, and stepping back into that role made the experience even more personal. This track captures a darker and more haunting side of our new era."

Nicole Willerton about "Moon":
"The song "Moon" is about finding hope, tranquility, and inner peace in a world filled with destruction, greed, and suffering. The moon serves as a guiding light and a symbol of beauty, reminding us that even when life feels overwhelming or full of misery, it's important to cherish the simple beauties of life, such as nature and the freedom of the spirit."

Rising from the home of symphonic metal are AMBERIAN DAWN: The Finnish five-piece is set to open Temptation's Gates, their new album, out on June 26 via Napalm Records. The band's first release with new singer Nicole Willerton takes them onto a more modern, occasionally even surprisingly rough path. With it, AMBERIAN DAWN, led by founder, guitarist, and main composer Tuomas Seppälä, slowly emancipate themselves from being "just" the band who—gloriously!—covered Swedish pop legends ABBA with their previous album, Take a Chance — A Metal Tribute to ABBA (2022).

Infusing their epic keyboard sounds with guitar-driven melodic metal, AMBERIAN DAWN reach into a world unknown and prove their versatility while their catchy anthems remain strong and charming as ever. Temptation's Gates has the band determined for a future sparkling temptingly bright — and they're ready to step through that gate.

Tuomas Seppälä about Temptation's Gates:
"When I started working with our new singer, I felt the same kind of excitement I had years ago when I began creating our debut album back in 2007 and 2008. At that time, AMBERIAN DAWN were still newcomers to the band world, even though we were already experienced musicians. With Temptation's Gates, I felt that same spark of creating something new for the first time in a long while. I hadn't composed many songs yet when I began collaborating with our new vocalist. Most of the material came together surprisingly fast once I realized how easy and natural it was to work with her. I was deeply inspired by Nicole's enthusiasm, dedication, and efficiency. I truly feel that the band has been reborn with her joining us. Musically, our style has evolved once again, perhaps moving slightly back toward a heavier, more metal-driven direction. At the same time, elements of our classic sound and identity are naturally still present. In many ways, creating this album felt like going back to my roots. For the first time in a long while, I also took on a bigger role as a guitarist. I focused more on crafting guitar riffs, played roughly half of the guitar leads on the album, and even performed one full guitar solo myself."

Nicole Willerton about Temptation's Gates:
"Temptation's Gates is the first album I've sung on and recorded with AMBERIAN DAWN, and it has been a beautiful experience. While writing the lyrics, each song was inspired by feelings, memories, and moments that were especially prominent during the creation of the album. Writing the lyrics felt like diving into the subconscious, bringing these emotions to the surface. It was wonderful to explore the creative process of arranging the backing vocals. I especially love how AMBERIAN DAWN's music makes strong use of backing vocals, helping to create a fuller, richer sound around the lead vocals. It's definitely a fiery album that combines a broad spectrum of emotional depths, ranging from love and melancholy to darker elements such as fear and inner struggles. A recurring message throughout the album is to embrace one’s true desires and to accept and acknowledge one’s honest feelings."

California dreampop outfit Soft Science return with 'Spinning', heralding novel 'Sand' album

Sacramento-based outfit Soft Science presents 'Spinning', a propulsive and emotionally charged track and the first offering from their fifth album 'Sand', scheduled for release on September 4th via Shelflife Records in North America and Spinout Nuggets in the UK. The accompanying video was created by directed and edited by Matthew Maxwell.

Building on the band’s signature blend of dream pop, shoegaze and indie rock, ‘Spinning’ captures the dizzying frustration of being caught in an emotional loop—repeating the same conversations, hoping to be heard, and wondering if anything is finally getting through. Pairing shimmery atmosphere with a sense of restless momentum, the band manage to turn relationship fatigue into something hypnotic, melodic, and deeply relatable.

Comprised of longtime collaborators Katie Haley (lead vocals, percussion), Matt Levine(lead guitar), Ross Levine (guitar, backing vocals), Tony Cale (drums), Becky Cale (bass, backing vocals), and Hans Munz (atmospheric electronics), Soft Science crafts immersive dream pop defined by layered guitars, ethereal vocals, synth textures, and post-punk-influenced propulsion.

"Spinning is one of my favorite songs on 'Sand' - It has such strong energy. It’s the kind of song that is catchy and you can’t help moving to it, but it also has a lot of tension, which fits so well with the lyrics. Matt’s guitar work really adds to the mood and tension felt in the song," says Katie Haley.

"We had the melody and the idea of “Round and Round” and then Ross came up with the chorus lyrics “You got me spinning round, am I getting through now.” I loved it and felt inspired immediately to come up with the verses. Generally, I find ruminating on things, talking about the same issue over and over with no resolution, and prolonged indecision really irritating and I was dealing with a couple situations with these themes at that time. Once Ross set the chorus the rest of the words poured out."

With ethereal vocals, twin 12-string guitars, bass, drums, and synthesizers, the band layers luminous melodies, celestial harmonies, and propulsive rhythms into lush, transportive songs. As showcased via KEXP sessions and noted by critics, Soft Science pairs a bright melodic sensibility with a melancholy undertow, creating music that is both immediate and deeply atmospheric.

"I've always loved using straightforward driving guitars with a looping hook on the bass to create a constant sense of propulsion. On 'Spinning', I was looking for that energy. Katie's soft, flowing melody, aginst that really brought it together. The last thing we recorded was the chorus harmony she came up with - it really kicked it up a level. The missing link it needed, lifting the whole track," says Ross Levine.

Highlighting the track’s experimental approach, Matt Levine shares, "Spinning is really special.  We were talking about doing backwards guitar leads, which, in a way, seemed easy, but how do you make it feel intentional?  So I started high and descended with the general idea that I wanted the lead to do the opposite. To my amazement, the result of the first take was amazing. The next challenge was how to play a backwards lead forward live, something I've never had to work through before."

Across the ten tracks on 'Sand', Soft Science expand their sound while retaining the melodic clarity and emotional resonance that define their work. The album explores impermanence—how love, memory, and identity shift under pressure—and what it means to keep choosing connection in a world with no guarantees. Across ten tracks, the band balances shimmering atmosphere with urgency and movement, shaping one of their most immersive and emotionally direct releases to date.

Soft Science's latest album was 'Lines' (2023), preceded by 'Maps' (2018), 'Detour' (2013), and 'Highs and Lows' (2011), along with singles including a split 7” with The Luxembourg Signal (2015), and The House of Lovecover ‘I Don’t Know Why I Love You’and their rendition of Northern Picture Library's ‘Paris’ (both 2018).

Having earned critical acclaim over the years, Soft Science has done live sessions at KEXP, WFMU, and Part-Time Punks in Los Angeles, and has performed at New York Popfest, Paris Popfest, The Big Takeover’s 35th Anniversary show, Schellraiser Festival, Tremolo Fest and Dreamgaze PDX, apart from select US and European shows.

As of June 23, 'Spinning' available digitally everywhere, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. The 'Sand' album will be released via Shelflife Records (US) and Spinout Nuggets (UK) - on both CD and vinyl - on September 4th.

Dogma Unleash Cinematic New Single - My Matricidal

Following a breakout year that saw DOGMA sell out every European headlining show, complete its largest Latin American tour to date, and continue its rapid international ascent, the band returns today with “My Matricidal,” the highly anticipated new single and music video.

"My Matricidal" is a theatrical collision of aggressive guitars, ritualistic percussion, haunting cinematic soundscape, soaring vocal performances, and a relentless series of sonic blows that steadily escalate toward a towering climax. The result is a dark, emotionally charged composition that expands the band's signature blend of hard rock, metal, and provocative storytelling.

Accompanying the single is an ambitious new music video that expands the narrative introduced in “Fate Unblinds,” revealing another key piece of the puzzle while raising new questions about everything that came before.

Regarding the new release, Lilith comments, "The themes explored in ‘My Matricidal’ are not really about betrayal. They are about recognition. There comes a moment in every person's life when something they believed, trusted, or accepted can no longer withstand reality. Most people spend their energy focusing on the deception itself, but I think the more important question is what happens after the truth becomes impossible to ignore. Some people retreat into anger or denial. Others choose to learn from it and move forward with greater clarity. That moment of choice has always fascinated me because it ultimately shapes the direction of a person's life. The truth reveals itself in time. What you do with it is your responsibility. You shape your fate."

The release arrives at a pivotal moment in DOGMA's continued growth. During the first half of 2026, the band completed its largest European and Latin American touring cycle to date, performing for thousands of fans across both continents. Every European headlining show sold out, including appearances in London, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Eindhoven, Hamburg, and Munich.

The momentum continues this summer as DOGMA returns to Europe for appearances at major festivals including Copenhell, Basinfire, Tuska, Rockharz, Rock Imperium, and Resurrection Fest, alongside a special headlining performance in Istanbul.

With the release of “My Matricidal,” DOGMA maintains a single position: The truth reveals itself in time.

Upcoming festival dates:

Jun 29: Istanbul, Türkiye · Blind
Jul 2: Ballenstedt, Germany - Rockharz Festival
Jul 4: Viveiro, Spain · Resurrection Fest
Jul 5: Cartagena, Spain · El Batel Park

Blake Shelton Hits Top 30 at Country Radio with "Let Him In Anyway"

Country music superstar Blake Shelton continues to build momentum with his latest single, “Let Him In Anyway,” which has climbed into the Top 30 on Country radio and experienced a 30% increase in streaming.

Written by Michael Hardy, Zach Abend, Kyle Clark and Carson Wallace, “Let Him In Anyway” has become one of Shelton’s most personally meaningful recordings.

“If you can hear this song and it doesn’t punch you in the gut and break your heart, you probably need to be examined in other ways,” Shelton said.

“I just wanted this song to have a platform and a way to be heard. That’s what I love about our writers in Nashville and what I love about country music in general. Great songs come out of this town every day, and every now and then you're lucky enough to get your hands on one. I think this is one of those songs.”

The song's impact extends beyond radio, with fans quickly connecting with the official music video, further fueling the track's growing success across streaming and digital platforms. The music video is available below.

The song's momentum comes on the heels of Shelton's performance at CMA Fest earlier this month. Fans who weren't able to attend the Nashville event can catch the performance when “CMA Fest presented by SoFi” airs Thursday, June 25, at 8/7c on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.

“I love coming to CMA Fest and everything I get to do here, but the stadium show is the centerpiece of it all,” Shelton said. “My first appearance at CMA Fest was in 2001, and 25 years later I'm still getting invited back. I know how lucky I am and how rare that is, so I'm taking it all in and enjoying every minute.”

Hosted by Riley Green and Good Morning America co-anchor Lara Spencer, “CMA Fest presented by SoFi” is a three-hour television event featuring unforgettable performances, special collaborations and standout moments captured during the 2026 CMA Fest in Nashville, giving fans front-row access to one of Country Music's most star-studded weekends.

IAN MUNSICK PREVIEWS THE MOUNTAIN GOAT WITH EXCLUSIVE INDUSTRY LISTENING EVENT

Wyoming native Ian Munsick previewed his fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, on Wednesday (June 17) at The Estelle in Nashville, Tennessee to an intimate audience of industry professionals. The Mountain Goat is Munsick’s first project via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records and arrives August 21. Pre-save HERE.

Munsick co-produced the album alongside Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson, and also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.

Additionally, five D2C fan packs are available to pre-order on his online store, including an exclusive autographed zoetrope vinyl. Pre-order HERE.

About Ian Munsick:
As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick lives in the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever. Marking his first independent album on WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored modern country frontier. Racking up over one billion career streams with previous albums Coyote CryWhite Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among those to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe have found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked. Munsick made history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days – the iconic rodeo known as the “Daddy of ‘Em All” – and with The Mountain Goat, his quest to bring Western mystique to modern fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory.

Brantley Gilbert Releases Title Track and “GOOD OL’ BOYS” from SINS OF THE FATHER, Arriving 7/24

Multi-Platinum trailblazer Brantley Gilbert delivers two new songs from his eighth studio album SINS OF THE FATHER, set for release July 24 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville: title track “SINS OF THE FATHER” and “GOOD OL’ BOYS,” available now.

“SINS OF THE FATHER” was born from Gilbert’s honest concern about how his actions would impact the next generation. It emerged as the “most country song on the album,” imparts Gilbert, with his unvarnished vocal joined by a twangy, drop-tuned acoustic guitar:

Meanwhile, explosive “GOOD OL’ BOYS” is tailor made for Gilbert’s six-piece juggernaut of a touring band, which has shared tours with Five Finger Death Punch and Nickelback. “That song goes harder than probably anything I’ve ever written,” he admits.

No stranger to pushing country’s evolutionary curve, SINS OF THE FATHER goes beyond sonic innovation, to confront the ugly truth. Fusing heartfelt country values with explosive energy and barbed-wire R&B swagger, he describes the project as a deeply personal playlist, once again ready to meet fans where they are.

“As long as there’s a box in country music, I know where I belong,” the Georgia-born hitmaker says. “And that’s right on the outside of it. All of my albums are a chapter of my life and this one’s no different. I don’t have skeletons in the closet – my shit’s out in the open. So if there’s any piece of my story that could help somebody, I’m cheating them if I keep it to myself.”

The moments here are often heavy – both emotionally and in guitar-driven sonic power, exemplified by today’s releases. Co-produced with rock-schooled collaborator Brock Berryhill (Twenty One Pilots, Kane Brown), SINS OF THE FATHER marks some of the hardest-hitting work of Gilbert’s career, yet the diesel-fueled two-lane trap he helped pioneer is never far away. Bottomless distortion and pounding drums join melodic, gravel-road grooves, while the bare bones of country soul turn painful realities into three-chords-and-the-truth.

Currently climbing the charts at Country radio, Gilbert recently premiered the official music video for lead single “GOOD DAMN” and released the deeply personal “F****D ME UP,” with MusicRow praising, “his gripping, broken vocal on this ballad grabs ahold and doesn’t let go…it’s a powerful thing.”

Along with today’s release, Gilbert also launches his latest merch collection featuring youth sizes, marking his first-ever merch drop to include children’s sizing. The collection includes four t-shirt and two hoodie designs. To view and purchase the collection, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

In addition to readying his new album, Gilbert’s already had an exceptionally busy year, helping set a Guinness World Record for the oldest person to crowd surf, as Pauline Kana (known online as “Gangster Granny”), completed the feat during his set in Bellville, Texas on May 2. Earlier this year, Gilbert served as the Grand Marshal for Round 13 of the Monster Energy SMX World Championships at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

He also launched Real American Beer Zero after becoming an investor and equity partner of Real American Beer (RAB). RAB Zero is the company’s first non-alcoholic beer with $1 per case sold of RAB Zero going to the USO in addition to ongoing donations tied directly to sales, supporting active-duty service members and their families.

The Real American Tour continues this Saturday, with headlining and festival dates through the fall on sale now. For tour dates and additional information, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

Kenny Chesney Kicks Off 2nd Sphere Residency Intimacy, Old Favorites, Good Vibes & A Whole Lotta Joy

Kenny Chesney vowed his second residency at Vegas’ Sphere would make a shift, leaning into the venue’s ability to consume fans – and from the moment the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar hit the stage with “Here And Now,” he delivered. Beyond the fresh visuals, set changes and 29 songs, there was a momentum to the show that swept No Shoes Nation up for a night that took them places, brought emotions and memories to the surface and dancing to every level of Sphere’s four-tiered, 366-foot vertical leveled venue.

Without missing a beat, Chesney rolled into “Livin’ In Fast Forward,” “Young,” “Beer In Mexico,” “Keg In The Closet” and “Til It’s Gone.” Beyond the momentum, there was a sense of how much of Chesney’s music had consumed the lives of the sold-out almost 17,000 fans who’d journeyed from across the country. If not a sacred space, the fans found plenty to cheer for – and sing along with – over the course of a night that included the Jamaica-friendly “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven,” followed by a whirling “Guitars, Tiki Bars (& A Whole Lotta Love)” that went double, then double-double time at the end.

“Sphere lets you really consider the tempos, lets you take liberties and risks,” Chesney said of his bold set choices after the show, “and it creates an intimacy that lets you really pull people to you. You can do things here you can’t anywhere else.”

Whether that meant a slow-burning erotic take on “Come Over,” matched with moody black and white reimagining of deep desire, “Noise,” which created a vortex of all the emotionally and visually charged things that overload us, swirling to a black hole at the top before dissolving into a quiet tableau, or the surging “All The Pretty Girls,” delivered in an aquarium of neon mermaids, the moods were plenty, the audience was primed and hung on every moment and emotion. Even “Carry On,” Chesney’s history-making new single, brought the joy-of-living to life on a stage that seemed to place the crowd at a perfect tropical beach music festival.

“Sphere lets me take people back home with ‘I Go Back,’ to piers that don’t exist for ‘Til It’s Gone,’ flying through downtown Los Angeles for ‘Settin’ The World on Fire,’ inside a pinball machine with ‘Big Star’ and some of my favorite places in ‘When I See This Bar,’” Chesney offered after the show. “You can take them, give them even more of what the song is…”

Making “When I See This Bar” even more was the surprise appearance of good friend and fellow superstar Eric Church, who ambled onstage in signature sunglasses, bringing a cool vibe. Sharing the moment – and several moments the pair had shared, including Church’s last-minute filling in for a sick artist at Chesney’s Country Music Hall of Fame induction, the pair delivered a reflective moment homaging their roots. Asking his friend if he’d like to do a couple, Chesney turned fan, joining the crowd for the choruses of Church’s “Drink In My Hand,” then laughing and sharing about forgotten lyrics during Church’s blanking, then starting over celebratory “Springsteen.”

For the fans, some of whom had been derailed by weather and technical problems out of Boston, traveling all night through New York, Los Angeles and anywhere there was a connection, the passion was set on stun. Even the intimate “Knowing You” was met with massive cheers, while the set closing “Out Last Night” rippled with both the promise and the zest of all the fun one can have when chasing a good time.

After almost 90 seconds of cheers, Chesney returned for a three-song encore that nailed every groove, phase and reality of his career. Kicking into the multi-rhythmic, double chorused “American Kids,” the capacity crowd practically levitated with euphoric self-identification, then melted into the yearning look back “Anything But Mine.”

With the audience clearly wrung out, Chesney offered an early career classic wrapped in chamois-feeling warmth to send the first show’s crowd into the night. Dropping into the memories, he brought “Don’t Happen Twice” to a high simmer, waved, signed and reminded the crowd – as Las Vegas Review-Journal wrote on Friday – of one of his most intoxicating superpowers: “he’d learned how to infuse his songs with real life, these people and their stories.”

“To me, these songs I sing aren’t just mine, they’re all of ours,” Chesney offered during his post-show wind-down. “If we can sing them true, play deep and just surrender to what they say, we can connect on a whole other level here. It was a lot of feelings, a lot of years, but man, did we feel it, and the love, and all the passion people bring.

“Whether it was Eric and his family coming all the way across the country to be part of kick-off, the people down front singing every word – or the people near the top holding up their phones with flames burning, I could feel it all, and whatta feeling.”

ETERNAL RECURRENCE Unleash New EP Eternal Recurrence, Release Music Video For "Precious Stones"

ETERNAL RECURRENCE presents the debut self titled EP, Eternal Recurrence. Led by composer and multi-instrumentalist C. Alex Luke, ETERNAL RECURRENCE embraces the symphonic metal genre from an alternative perspective with orchestral arrangements drawn from chamber music. The new EP release arrives alongside a music video for the track "Precious Stones".

The creative process behind “Precious Stones” differs from the rest of the track list on Eternal Recurrence as it was the first song written for the EP dating back to the COVID pandemic. Initially composed as a straightforward metal track with no symphonic elements, “Precious Stones” was subsequently reworked to incorporate the chamber music arrangement and adhere to the new creative direction for ETERNAL RECURRENCE.

"Precious Stones" features two guest vocalists. Mordian of DIAMORTE and SHIELD OF WINGS delivers a powerful alto performance during the chorus and bridge, while James Dorton of BLACK CROWN INITIATE, DIAMORTE and NE OBLIVISCARIS contributes harsh vocals to the heavier sections of the song.

Furthermore, “Precious Stones” is the only song on the EP not written by C. Alex Luke. The lyrics were written by Jake Thiele, Luke’s former bandmate from UNTIL EXTINCTION. On the lyrical theme Thiele shares, "In short, ‘Precious Stones’ is about the futility and stupidity of the things that divide us and how we let them suck the enjoyment out of life.”

All material on Eternal Recurrence was composed around a chamber ensemble led by German Dmitriev on violins, Steven Schumann on cellos, Maciek Szczyciński on double bass, and C. Alex Luke on piano. These elements are combined with aggressive guitars, lead work, and drumming rooted firmly in modern metal. The EP cover artwork and layout is by Timur Khabirov at All4band Design, and the project's logo was designed by Pavel Kurbanov at All4band Design.

About ETERNAL RECURRENCE:

ETERNAL RECURRENCE is a symphonic metal project based in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 2025 by multi-instrumentalist and composer C. Alex Luke. Known for blending progressive and extreme metal with classical instrumentation, the project takes a chamber music approach to symphonic metal, prioritizing the nuance and expressiveness of real musicians over large-scale orchestral simulation.

Drawing influence from bands such as KAMELOT, EPICA, OPETH, DREAM THEATER, and REVOCATION, ETERNAL RECURRENCE balances intricate compositions with aggressive modern metal. While traditional symphonic metal often relies on massive orchestras or dense sampled arrangements, ETERNAL RECURRENCE was created around the belief that the human touch of live performance remains essential, especially in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

Rather than emulating 19th and 20th century symphonic traditions, the project looks to chamber music for inspiration. Chamber ensembles are designed for smaller spaces and intimate performances, emphasizing clarity, interaction, and detail. This philosophy defines the sound of ETERNAL RECURRENCE.

All material on the debut release, Eternal Recurrence, was composed specifically for a chamber string ensemble alongside full metal instrumentation. The ensemble features German Dmitriev on violins, Steven Schumann on cellos, Maciek Szczyciński on double bass, and C. Alex Luke on piano, integrated with heavy guitars, technical leads, and aggressive drumming.

Released independently in 2026, Eternal Recurrence serves as both an introduction and a mission statement, presenting symphonic metal that values realism, restraint, and emotional detail without sacrificing heaviness or intensity. The project exists at the intersection of classical tradition and modern metal, focused on authenticity, composition, and the expressive imperfections that only human performers can provide.
