Holissstik Announce Debut Album Chapter I: This Endless Solitude

After more than 30 years, Tor-Helge Skei remains one of the most consistent and surprising talents in extreme music. A founding member of the critically acclaimed group Manes, the Norwegian mainstay, multi-instrumentalist and producer has pushed the boundaries of black metal and the avant-garde. Now, with his new collaborative project, Holissstik, he’s expanding his vision like never before.

Today, Skei is announcing Holissstik’s debut album Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude. The album is the first in a trilogy and arrives with a captivating music video for its genre-busting lead single. While full of regrets, “The Rhythm of Silence” speaks to the collective spirit that makes Holissstik such a unified force.

“Collaboration is the heart and soul of Holissstik”, Skei says. “The name comes from the Greek word Hólos, which, in English, is the root word for ‘whole’. The idea is that the music as a whole is greater than its individual contributions”.

“With Hollissstik, we’ve built something that transcends traditional metal by focusing on the ‘holos’ - the beauty of the complete, interconnected whole”, says Manes member Tor-Arne Helgesen, who contributes drums to “The Rhythm of Silence”.

Fellow Manes member Eivind Fjøseide, who contributes guitar to “The Rhythm of Silence”, agrees. “Skei and I have worked together on music for more than 30 years. Together, we have a special chemical musical reaction that makes things very exciting”.

Watch the video for “The Rhythm of Silence” below.

Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude comes out August 14, 2026 on Season of Mist.

Although the very nature of Holissstik demands that we expect the unexpected, the collective’s future certainly seems to guarantee obsidian horizons and torrential deluges of artistic truth. In other words, the project promises to persistently and ritualistically pummel us with devastating yet necessary, epic masterworks. Skei and his collaborators truly present the most immersive experiences possible and, in Manes language, offer a safe place in the unsafe; dive in with your hands bound, and be submerged within the imprisoning brilliance. Skei continues to participate in a range of outstanding groups, and yet Holissstik stands as the most unpredictable and, counterintuitive as it might sound, accessible undertaking in the history of his illustrious career.

Hard Rock Supergroup ICONIC Unveils New Track "Take Me To The Place" + Visualizer

Today, hard rock supergroup ICONIC - featuring Michael Sweet (guitars), Joel Hoekstra(guitars), Marco Mendoza (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums), and Nathan James (vocals) – have unveiled their new track, “Take Me To The Place,” ahead of the release of their upcoming sophomore album ‘II,’ set for release on July 31, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Michael Sweet comments on the track:

'Take Me To The Place' is once again, a song that takes you back to the past. The whole point of this band/album is to remind people of the power of classic rock. Some of the greatest music came out of the 70’s/80’s, and we’re very proud to be able to continue waving that flag and carrying the torch!”

Joel Hoekstra shares:

“It was great fun to riff away to trade leads with Michael Sweet on this one. Nathan James is belting away, and the classic rock vibes are omnipresent. Hopefully you all like it as much as we liked recording it!”

Marco Mendoza also adds:

“Another great song coming from all the talent in this band...Michael and Joel killing it, Nathansounding great and delivering big time...Tommy driving!!!”

Watch the Visualizer for "Take Me To The Place" Below:

ICONIC returns with ‘II,’ a second album that doesn’t just continue the band’s journey - it defines it. Where their debut introduced the chemistry between five world-class musicians, II sharpens that vision into a clearer, heavier, and more confident sonic identity, delivering a sound that is more powerful, more direct, and unmistakably rock.

At the heart of the album lies the electrifying guitar partnership of Joel Hoekstra and Michael Sweet, delivering a masterclass in soaring melodies, blazing solos, and muscular riffs that perfectly balance technical brilliance with pure hard-rock attitude. Beneath them, the rhythm section of Tommy Aldridge and Marco Mendoza drives the record with thunderous authority, creating a groove that is both massive and relentless.

The album kicks off with “Cry No More,” a high-octane opener that immediately sets the tone - an energetic slice of hard rock packed with driving riffs, explosive drums, and a chorus built to stick.

On the other side of the emotional spectrum, “Tears Keep On Falling” showcases the band’s dynamic range, unfolding as an electrifying power ballad where melody, atmosphere, and intensity come together in dramatic fashion.

Towering above it all is Nathan James, whose performance on ‘II’ is nothing short of extraordinary - powerful, soulful, and commanding, elevating every track with unmistakable presence.

With bigger riffs, deeper grooves, and a stronger sense of identity, ‘II’ captures ICONIC at full force: a band no longer introducing itself but fully owning its sound.

LUNA KILLS Unveil "LOWER" Video

Following the release of their album DEATHMATCH last year, Finnish alternative metal powerhouse LUNA KILLS are already charging forward with a brand new single titled "LOWER" via Sharptone Records.

Speaking about the single, the band shares, "The lyrics of the song are about dealing with the feeling that you don't belong anywhere. You feel the weight of not fitting into the expectations that society or others have placed upon you, or even the expectations you have for yourself. It makes you question your reality, and at the same time, you slowly begin to feel like you'e fading away piece by piece and turning into someone you don't recognize. The song carries a theme — both in lyrics and music — about the contrast between the softness of accepting yourself and the world you have built around yourself and the crushing weight of a never leaving dread whispering whether you made the right choices."

Following the explosive momentum of DEATHMATCH and standout tracks including "WAVES," "LEECH," "sugar rush,""slay ur enemies"  and "love u," the band continues to evolve an unmistakable blend of crushing heaviness, modern production, and emotionally charged songwriting.

LUNA KILLS have added new dates to their 2026 tour schedule, featuring major festival appearances and headline shows across Europe, as well as select support slots for Future Palace and Vianova. View tour dates here.

ABOUT LUNA KILLS:
LUNA KILLS are without a doubt the most refreshing modern metal act in the scene, combining alternative and nu-metal vibes with electronics inspired by game soundtracks. Their frontwoman Lotta with her jazz singing background and incredible fry scream vocals brings the audience to their knees - unless they are speeding around in moshpits, as often witnessed in their fiery live shows. Even as newcomers LUNA KILLS have already opened the door to their beloved gaming world as their music is featured in the hit mobile app Beatstar. The band, first formed in 2019, has now taken their first steps on European stages, gained the attention of multiple rock radios in their native Finland and are moving forward towards their first full-length album with SharpTone Records.

LUNA KILLS ARE:
Lotta Ruutiainen — Vocals

DUSTIN LYNCH DELIVERS TWO OF CMA FEST'S HOTTEST TICKETS

During CMA Fest 2026, Dustin Lynch once again proved why fans flock to his signature events year after year, bringing thousands together across two unforgettable celebrations that showcased both sides of his high-energy live experience while his latest country radio single “Easy To Love” continues to climb the charts.

On Thursday (6/4), Lynch kicked off the festivities with the fourth annual DUSTIN LYNCH POOL SITUATION: NASHVILLE at Margaritaville Hotel Nashville. Long before the gates opened, fans lined up downtown eager to secure a spot at Country music's premier pool party. The rooftop quickly reached capacity as Lynch delivered a crowd-pleasing set packed with fan favorites, joined by special guests David Lee Murphy and Two Friends. Returning Wheel-of-Fun activations including the fan-favorite Belly Flop Competition and Mullet Barber Bar helped transform the afternoon into another memorable installment of the now-annual CMA Fest tradition.

On Friday night, Lynch traded the rooftop for downtown nightlife, bringing his DUSTIN LYNCH NIGHTLIFE PARTY CLUB SET back to Barstool Nashville. Inspired by his ongoing WYNN NIGHTLIFE LAS VEGAS residency, the exclusive event showcased another side of the multi-PLATINUM entertainer as he took over the DJ booth for an explosive EDM set. Bryce Vine joined the festivities as fans packed the venue for one of CMA Fest's most talked-about late-night celebrations.

Together, the two events showcased the distinct space Lynch has created within Country music, blending the energy of a summer concert with the atmosphere of a nightlife destination. What began as fan events have evolved into annual CMA Fest traditions, drawing crowds year after year and cementing their place among the week's most anticipated experiences. Whether poolside under the Nashville sun or taking over the late-night scene downtown, Lynch once again delivered the kind of moments fans plan their festival weekend around.

IAN MUNSICK ANNOUNCES 4TH STUDIO ALBUM, THE MOUNTAIN GOAT, ARRIVING AUGUST 21, 2026

As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick has taken his music to the wild places few singer-songwriters go. With the announcement of his impending fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, to fans during his fan club party at CMA Fest on Saturday (June 6), Munsick promises to continue doing just that.

Munsick’s first full-length project released via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records – which he co-produced with Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson – The Mountain Goat arrives on August 21, 2026. Pre-save HERE

Along with co-producing the album, Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.

Reflecting on the creative process, Munsick shares, “‘Way up high in isolation, where most men dare not go…’ Since the very start of my musical journey I've always aspired to be an innovator. My voice has always been different so naturally, my music should be a little different too. When we started making this album, the relationship between my voice and the musical production was always at the forefront of the creative process. You'll hear modern sounds rooted in folky textures, soaked with steel guitar and, of course, plenty of fiddle. Melodies that will, hopefully, haunt you till the end of your days and lyrics that will take you to the place that inspires me most; the west.

“These songs are dedicated to the land and the folks that live with it, not on it,” he adds. “Lord knows we need more of those in country music today. This album will take you horseback through pastures, prairies, up to the foothills, past the timberline and up to the summit... The Mountain Goat is waiting for you.”

As his single “Love Is Blind” continues to climb the charts at Country radio, Munsick will release his next song, “World War III,” off the 15-track album this Friday. Additionally, five D2C fan packs are available to pre-order on his online store, including an exclusive autographed zoetrope vinyl. Pre-order HERE.

Munsick promises to deliver fans a memorable tour of the west with a series of shows during album release week. As part of “The Road to The Mountain Goat,” Munsick just announced his official album release show will be held at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, Utah on August 22 as part of the Deer Valley Concert Series.

“Some of my favorite shows I've ever played have been in Mountain Time. Home of the Rockies and some of my most die hard fans, I couldn't think of a better place to host my album release show than the gorgeous Deer Valley Amphitheater in Park City,” Munsick beams. “Utah ALWAYS shows up and sings every word to every song and come August 22nd, you'll have 15 more songs to sing along to.

“The Road to The Mountain Goat includes stops in Nevada, Colorado (including the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater), New Mexico, Texas, South Dakota and, of course, Utah,” he adds. “If you've ever seen me and Rocky Mountain Fever live, you know these will be more than just shows.. they'll be experiences. Don't miss us on The Road to The Mountain Goat.”

Munsick is also partnering with The Landmark Hotel & Casino to open the Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill in August in Deadwood, S.D on September 18. Built between 1894-1920, The Landmark is Deadwood’s largest historic structure at approximately 35,000 square feet. The Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill will reside within over 2,600 square feet of the footprint. The venue will promote and celebrate country and western music with old school country bar decor, along with two performance stages, one indoors and one outdoors.

The Road to The Mountain Goat Shows:

About Ian Munsick:
As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick lives in the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever. Marking his first independent album on WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored modern country frontier. Racking up over one billion career streams with previous albums Coyote CryWhite Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among those to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe have found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked. Munsick made history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days – the iconic rodeo known as the “Daddy of ‘Em All” – and with The Mountain Goat, his quest to bring Western mystique to modern fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory.

WHOOPS! He’s Done It Again -- Kenny Chesney Finds Three New Songs, Records + Mixes

It’s not done until it’s out. At least not if you’re Kenny Chesney, who’s always found and recorded songs and singles after albums have been turned in. Relentlessly pursuing the absolute best songs, plugged into old guard, right now and next wave music people across genres, he’s always seeking songs that say something new, dig a little deeper, offer a different take or musical spin – not for a project he’s trying to finish, but the sake of the music.

“Nothing fires me up like a great song,” Chesney allows. “Maybe it’s the way I came up at Acuff Rose with Dean Dillon, Buddy Brock, Whitey Shafer and Tony Lane, always writing something that’d catch your ear… Or maybe it goes all the way back to church, WIVK on the radio as a little kid, the Cas Walker local TV show in the morning getting ready for school and all the music me and my friends listened to, but I got addicted to how music made me feel real young; and it’s the one thing I can’t quit no matter how much discipline I’ve got.”

With an album done, three songs hit Chesney’s radar, and kept tumbling. What they said, how they hit him in the heart… the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar started playing with the sequence, swapping things in, taking things out, trying to figure out how to add them in. Laughing he admits, “It’s a little bit like putting a puzzle together: you know the best possible thing is there, you just have to figure it out. It’s been kind of fun, kind of crazymaking, but it reminds me the power of an actual album, you know? Ten, twelve songs that hold together, not as a concept, but more as a vibe rather than just a flood of songs.”

With “Carry On” making history as the first independent and only third song in history to close out the country radio panel in its first week, the man Billboard called “The Country Artist of the 21st Century” wants to make sure his first album on HEY NOW Records matches the energy and heart his team is putting into it. “Carry On”’s message also reminds him the power of music to speak to how people live, and the way music can empower people to live their best lives.

Co-producing with longtime collaborator and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Famer Buddy Cannon, the idea of creating something that holds together sits in a very sweet spot. “I’m trying to find the sequence and make some decisions, but those three songs make this a whole other project. Shane McAnally and I had a conversation – just like ‘Noise’ – and a great song came out of it; someone sent me a song that my friends Brett James and Tony Lane had written that says it all about life… and I’ve got one that’s about a place, but it’s also a state of mind and a state of being that’s really special. Are they singles? I don’t know, but they’re great, that’s what matters.”

Keeping with that spirit of creativity, Chesney guests on his longtime friend Rick Rubin’s podcast “Tetragrammaton” this week. Debuting June 10, he and the legendary rock/rap producer (Run-D.M.C., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Public Enemy, Slayer, Rage Against the Machine) explore the myriad ways creativity manifests, knowing how to find one’s actual truth instead of chasing trends and honoring the people and places who share your life experience.

“We’ve been trying to do this since before we released Heart Life Music,” Chesney laughs, “We are both so busy, we finally got it done. But, just like always, talking to Rick about music inspires me – and makes me want to push what’s possible.”

Gunshine Releases New Single "My Oh Miley" Ahead of Upcoming Album Grand Rising

Florida rock band Gunshine released their fifth track, “My Oh Miley,” offering fans a taste of their forthcoming full-length album, Grand Rising, due out digitally on July 24 through vnclm_ /  Create Music Group.

“My Oh Miley” is a hard rock track that channels high-energy riffs and infectious melodic hooks into a playful, tongue-in-cheek tribute to Miley Cyrus. Built around clever lyrical references to titles from her catalog and key moments from her public life, the song weaves those nods into an original narrative rather than simply name-dropping. The result is a driving, anthemic cut that balances grit and melody—blending distorted guitars, punchy rhythms, and a soaring chorus designed for singalongs. Equal parts homage and rock spectacle, “My Oh Miley”captures the chaos, charisma, and cultural impact of its subject while standing firmly as a hook-heavy, modern rock anthem in its own right.

The song was tracked in Las Vegas with producer/engineer Chris Collier.  Chris also mixed and mastered the track, as well as, the whole record.

STREAM "My Oh Miley" HERE

The album is now available on limited edition vinyl and CD here:

WATCH "My Oh Miley" Below:

While the digital release of Grand Rising arrives later this summer, fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the record. Physical copies of the album, including CD and double vinyl editions, alongside exclusive Gunshine merchandise, are available for purchase online at https://gunshine.diggers.store/ The CD and double vinyl will also be sold through the band at upcoming live shows.

"We tracked the whole record, (except "Goth Girl" and "Single Looks Good On You"), in Las Vegas with producer/mixer Chris Collier (Korn, Mick Mars, Whitesnake, Lynchmob).  I've been working with Chris for about 9 years now.  He's incredibly talented, has a great ear, and adds a heavy hitting production value that makes the songs sonically translate very well," says Austin Ingerman.

Hailing from Pensacola, Florida, Gunshine have built a reputation on catchy vocal melodies, clever lyrics, blistering guitar riffs and solos, and a lethal rhythm section. Their sound blends edgy, raw Rock ’n’ Roll attitude with a melodic, Pop-forward sensibility, creating music that hits hard while remaining instantly memorable. Combined with their high-energy, commanding live performances, Gunshine continue to enthrall listeners and prove themselves a force to be reckoned with.

With Grand Rising, Gunshine raise the bar yet again in an exciting evolution of the band. The album takes listeners on a dynamic journey filled with genre-bending twists and turns, shifting moods, and unexpected vibes—all while staying true to the core elements that set Gunshine apart. Featuring 13 tracks, each single-worthy in its own right, Grand Rising is poised to become a modern-day rock classic.

Emptiness Release New Single “The Threat”

Black/death experimental metal band Emptiness are releasing “The Threat” as the second single from their upcoming seventh album Nowhere Speaks. Stretching the boundaries between black and death metal, “The Threat” is located in territory that, for the Belgian band, is intimately familiar: the darkness of the human condition.

Listen to “The Threat” below:

Nowhere Speaks comes out July 17th, 2026 on Season of Mist.

Pre-order & pre-save

https://orcd.co/emptinessnowherespeaks

Save for vocals, keyboards and additional effects, Nowhere Speaks was played live in the studio, after four years of preparation, rehearsals and tests to ensure the music could be performed with the right weight and intention. This is not a production detail so much as a commitment to a specific kind of tension, the kind that does not survive being assembled in pieces. Emptiness’ previous album, Vide (2021), had no distortion, was sung entirely in French, and existed at the edge of silence; Nowhere Speaks moves in the opposite direction, and does so deliberately, opening exactly where Nothing But The Whole (2014) cut off mid-riff and closing by looping back to that album's opening riff.

From early in their career, EMPTINESS has worked this way: Jérémie Bézier handling production across all its dimensions, Olivier J.L.W. directing the visual work in its entirety. Sound and image conceived, shaped and finalized from within. Nowhere Speaks continues that closed circuit, as it always has been.

Nowhere Speaks is not a return. After the most introverted and isolated record of their career, the band opens outward into density and live intensity. The album, developed over an extended period of time, was composed by Jérémie Bézier and Olivier J.L.W., who oversee its production across both sonic and visual dimensions, bringing the work to completion as a unified whole, committed to tape live in the studio. The structural conceit of opening mid-riff from where Nothing But The Whole ended, and closing with that album's opening riff, is not nostalgia. It is the same logic that has always governed EMPTINESS: the cycle without a fixed point, beginning and ending inside each other, nothing and everything at the same time. The band has spent years demonstrating that they do not move in straight lines. Nowhere Speaks is a continuation from a point the listener was not meant to forget.

Line-up:
Jérémie Bezier — Vocals, Bass
Olivier J.L.W. — Guitars
Simon L. — Guitars
Dea Hydra — Synths
Laye Louhenapessy — Drums

Today, women-led, talented Brazilian Rock band MALVADA are pleased to share their new single, “Aventura Favorita,” along with an official visualizer, available now via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band states:

’Aventura Favorita’ is about finding someone who makes the world seem bigger and somehow still feels like home.”

The rising star of the Brazilian rock scene has a name: MALVADA, and they are ready to take over the world!

Watch the Official Visualizer for "Aventura Favorita" Below:

MALVADA was initially formed in March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. With a rock n' roll style full of personality, the band quickly attracted attention as one of the most promising acts in the Brazilian rock scene.

In January 2021, MALVADA released their first single entitled "Mais Um Gole," which gained greater prominence in the scene. Shortly afterwards, in May of the same year, it was time to release the second single, "Cada Escolha uma Renúncia," which preceded the launch of the band's debut album, 'A Noite Vai Ferver.'

In 2022 and 2023, MALVADA solidified its presence on the national rock panorama, performing more than a hundred shows in several cities in Brazil. The band had the privilege of participating in huge festivals, such as Rock in Rio, Best of Blues and Rock, Angra Fest, and Chama Rock, sharing the stage with renowned national and international rock names, like Pitty, Ira!, Angra, Viper, Edu Falaschi, Matanza, Golpe de Estado, Extreme, and Tom Morello.

In November 2023, MALVADA, composed of Indira Castillo, Bruna Tsuruda, Rafaela Reoliand Juliana Salgado surprised with a big announcement: the band has become the newest signee of the prestigious Italian label Frontiers Records, which has renowned bands in its catalog such as Mr. Big, Asia, Whitesnake, Jeff Scott Soto, among others, promising to take them to a new level, with opportunities to expand their reach and conquer the global market.

Their latest self-titled album, released last June and produced by the Brazilian Grammy-award-winning producer Giu Daga, delivers a powerful and exciting musical experience, featuring tracks in both English and Portuguese, setting the bar for the band to conquer a global audience.

MALVADA recently toured Europe with Michael Schenker, wrapping the tour up last month, and is set to play again at Rock in Rio in September, along with Bring Me The Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Omens, and Poppy.

unpeople Announce Debut Album "we are unpeople" Set For 10/9 + New Single "friends" Out Now!

Today, rapidly ascending four-piece unpeople announce their unifying, genre-spanning debut album we are unpeople  out October 9 on SharpTone Records, which takes the philosophy behind the band's name and turns it into a powerful, uncompromising statement of intent.

The announcement is accompanied by brand new single "friends" — listen below.

"'friends' is essentially a love song from the perspective of someone who is wholly skeptical about the very concept of love and what it's come to mean in a modern context," explains vocalist Jake Crawford. "I am essentially saying I am going to kill the very concept of love before it's even had a chance to get a hold of me - I am that afraid of being that vulnerable. I'd rather not bother than risk saying something I don’t mean, and then pay for it emotionally down the line. I'm fully aware that this is not necessarily healthy, but the mind takes you to some strange places when strong feelings are involved."

A seamless ability to connect across boundaries and conjure communal spirit, sits at the very heart of this debut album. Built upon massive choruses, four-part vocal harmonies, and unabated heaviness, we are unpeople captures a band whose ambition is matched by their belief in the power of music to unite people.

With stadium-busting choruses,to '00s Reuben-esque mega riffs, and the stunningly unpredictable eccentricity of System Of A Down, the album is colorful and joyous, yet aggressive and intense, having already spawned infectious tasters that include "clouds," "the garden," and "waste."

Comprised of Jake Crawford, Luke Caley, Em Lodge, and Richard Rayner, unpeople have quickly established themselves as one of the UK's most exciting new alternative bands, earning themselves a reputation for creating music that feels equally at home on the biggest rock stages and the heaviest festival bills — having fittingly been described as the lightest band at Bloodstock, and the heaviest band at Kendal Calling — finding themselves equally at home in both settings.

Originally used to describe those considered politically unimportant or without value, the term "unpeople" has since become another way to dismiss those whose views differ from our own. The band have reclaimed the phrase entirely, transforming it into a celebration of shared humanity, individuality, and belonging.

Since forming in 2023, that approach has seen unpeople rise at remarkable speed, with Kerrang! hailing them as "one of alternative music's best new bands." Live, they've opened for Metallica in Vienna, shared bills with Smashing Pumpkins andCoheed & Cambria, drawn huge crowds at 2000trees, and will a perform a landmark Main Stage-opening set at Download Festival this weekend — as well as appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Copenhell, Hurricane, Southside & many more this summer.

The rest of 2026 and beyond is there for the taking for a band rapidly on the ascension. "'we are unpeople is released into the world on October 9 and we couldn’t be more proud of it," says the band. "We collectively put our absolute everything into it and we can’t wait to share it with you all!

we are unpeople.
you are unpeople.
we are all unpeople
."

New Jersey's DEARDARKHEAD reveals 'In Another Life', previewing first album in 26 years

New Jersey alternative rock outfit Deardarkhead presents 'In Another Life', their second offering from 'The Pendulum Swings', - their first full-length album in 25 years. Balancing tension between crystalline guitar arpeggios, a wall of fuzzed out tremolo, and melodic baselines, the band concocts an introspective atmosphere about what could have been.

Built around soaring guitar leads and melodic bass hooks, this follows the lead track 'Letting Go'. A song about growth and change, centered on releasing old patterns and embracing new directions, this track features keyboardist Joe McGinty, known for his work with The Psychedelic Furs, Nada Surf, Ryan Adams and Deborah Harry, adding additional layers of atmosphere and texture.

Now made up of guitarist Kevin Harrington, drummer Robert Weiss and bassist James Malizia, who recently replaced Brandon Howard following the recording of this album. Deardarkhead has built a distinctive identity since the departure of vocalist-bassist Michael Amper in 2009, shifting fully into instrumental composition where melody and texture take the place of vocals.

With many notable milestones over their nearly four decades, including shows with the likes of Supergrass, The Psychedelic Furs, Everclear, Nothing and The Lilys, the new album captures an ever-evolving band, refining their voice through texture, atmosphere, and emotional momentum.

Taking their name from the 1867 Irish poem “Cean Dubh Dilis” by Samuel Ferguson -- a work about a beautiful dark-haired girl -- Deardarkhead was formed in 1988 in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. Their identity rooted as much in mood as in melody, their music blends atmospheric dreampop, shoegaze shimmer and ethereal rock, unfolding as an original, guitar-driven psychedelic tightrope walk balancing moody textures and shimmering melodies.

Drummer, Robert Weiss was particularly inspired by sitar music for the rhythmic droning lead sections while writing the song. He shares, "'In Another Life' is about the choices you didn’t make which still haunt you to some degree. The what ifs we all think about, but ultimately have no real impact. There’s no way of knowing where a different path would have lead, so you can’t be too bothered about it. One must live in the present."

Deardarkhead's sixth recording and second full-length album, 'The Pendulum Swings' captures a period of renewed experimentation and refinement. Recorded at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia, they worked with producers Brian McTear and Amy Morrissey (The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Sharon Van Etten) and Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Joe Lambert (Animal Collective, Blonde Redhead, Beach House, M83, Wild Nothing).

Across ten instrumental tracks, the record moves through shifting moods ranging from soaring, psychedelic-tinged guitar anthems to driving post-punk rhythms and more ambient, abstract passages. The result is a dynamic and cohesive work that highlights the band’s signature blend of shimmering guitars, pulsing bass, and powerful percussion. The band pushes the envelope with their instrumental approach, using drum loops, unusual time signatures, ebow, bass VI, and expanded guitar layering.

Deardarkhead has released five recordings via Fertile Crescent Records, beginning with their 1998 debut album 'Unlock the Valves of Feeling', and featured on numerous US and Japanese indie compilations. In 2011, Captured Tracks released 'Oceanside: 1991-1993', a retrospective of their early material (and second released in their Shoegaze Archives series). They then joined iconic label Saint Marie Records in 2015, releasing their critically-acclaimed 'Strange Weather' EP with them in 2016.

As of June 9, 'In Another Life' is available from music platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. Now available for pre-order, 'The Pendulum Swings' album will be released on CD, digitally, and on 180-gram vinyl on July 10.

Hunter Flynn Signs with WME for Representation

Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Hunter Flynn has signed with WME for global representation. Carving his own lane with a genre-defying Appalachian Soul Music sound, Flynn blends folk, country, soul and rock into raw, reflective songs inspired by the landscapes and stories of his youth. His powerful vocals and stripped-down arrangements have quickly built a growing audience online and on the road.

Over the last two years, Flynn has played nearly 200 shows across the United States and Europe, steadily building a grassroots following through relentless touring and raw, emotionally charged performances. In 2025, he was named Artist in Residence at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, a rare honor recognizing both his artistic integrity and cultural impact, and most recently Big Machine Records / Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment announced his signing in partnership with Appalachian Soul Music. Flynn released “Wasted Day” on May 22 and will release “Robbing A Bank” on June 26. Pre-save the track HERE.

“Hunter is the kind of artist you feel immediately. There’s a real depth and honesty to what he creates, and audiences are connecting with it in a powerful way. Between the growth we’re seeing and the foundation he’s built on the road, he’s just getting started,” said WME’s Lance Roberts and Geoff Turner.

“I’ve spent the last few years building this one show at a time,” said Flynn. “To now have a team like WME behind me feels incredibly meaningful. I’m proud of where I come from, proud of the music we’re making, and excited for what’s ahead.”

With new music on the horizon, Flynn’s momentum continues to accelerate online as well, generating more than 8 million on-demand views across platforms in recent months alone.

Since then, the 28 year old singer/songwriter has gained national recognition as one of Appalachia’s most promising young artists. In an area that has no shortage of talent, it is Flynn’s unique perspective and gut punching vocal delivery that leaves the listener with no doubt as to whether or not he has lived the stories he is telling. Flynn has now shared stages with the likes of Zach Top, Megan Moroney, Josh Meloy and more. The sky is the limit for this young artist who refers to his style of music as “Appalachian Soul.”

South Arcade Reveal New Single "Deadmeat"

About to embark on a massive summer of festivals, shows, and more music, South Arcade are back with their latest single, "DEADMEAT." The track is available now on all streaming platforms via BKM in partnership with Atlantic Records. Listen Below.

Speaking of the new single, the band says, "We went into writing wanting to tell a sort of modern Romeo and Juliet story (but with a less depressing ending), and we left with 'DEADMEAT.' It has this reckless optimism about it where the two characters' worlds shouldn't really overlap but they've found each other regardless — they want to escape all of that noise, steal a car, and leave town. It had this 'Us against the world' energy that we loved."

The energetic track shows a playful side to the band while keeping their signature sound. The four-piece have revealed the single ahead of a summer packed of festivals including playing mainstage at Download, Rock 4 People, and TRNSMT before heading to the U.S. later this month for the Idobi Summer School Tour and the iconic Vans Warped Tour (see full itinerary below). Recently finishing the huge UK and EU arena tour with global band 5 Seconds Of Summer, South Arcade teased fans with "DEADMEAT," building huge anticipation for the release.

"DEADMEAT" follows on from last single "SUPERMAN" which was released in April and became the band's biggest streaming debut to date with over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone. The band recently announced their biggest headline show to date, playing the iconic O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 25, 2027, marking a huge milestone in their already incredibly impressive career. The last few remaining tickets are available here.

Named one of "the most exciting rising artists to watch in 2026" by Alternative Press, South Arcade are conquering all areas of the industry, amassing over 180 million global streams, building a social following of over 2.2 million fans across socials, and completely selling out their first-ever North American headline tour last fall.

Hot off the heels of EPs PLAY! and 2005, both championed relentlessly by BBC Radio 1 across multiple shows, South Arcade have made the kind of noise that's impossible to ignore. With standout cuts "FEAR OF HEIGHTS," "Supermodels," and "Drive Myself Home" turning heads, they're taking over the alternative scene and the loudest chapters are still to come...

Alternative Metal Trailblazers COLEPITZ Return with "End of Everything" + Lyric Video Premiere on The PRP

After a 17 year hiatus, COLEPITZ return with their brand new single, "End of Everything." Driven by founding members Rob Korhonen and Ray Suhy, the band is now rounded out by Shane Kinney, an early collaborator from the origins of COLEPITZ.

"End of Everything" was built in collaboration with Grammy award winning singer and songwriter Dave Gutter and mixed by renowned producer Sky Van Hoff (Sleep Token). The new track arrives alongside a lyric video premiering on The PRP, available to view below.

Vocalist Rob Korhonen shares:

"'End of Everything' is our first new drop in 17 years. Nobody gets eased in. The song is a list of things already lost — the prayer, the dog at the gates, the child, the king, the god.”

Check Out the Lyric Video Premiere for "End of Everything" below:

COLEPITZ started in Biddeford, Maine, a beat-up mill town. Birmingham had Sabbath. Biddeford had this.

They tore through the Portland scene in less than a year, leading Wonderdrug Records out of Boston to sign them. The band released its self-titled debut in 1999. Touring behind the record, they played hundreds of shows, crossing the country in a van with Chimaira and sharing stages with Glassjaw, Candiria, Shadows Fall, and Unearth. One song, "Puppet," ended up in an episode of Supernatural, introducing the band to a whole new audience.

Then they stopped.

In 2008, original members Ray Suhy and Rob Korhonen rekindled their friendship, seven years after the band dissolved. They started writing again. 'No Tomorrow Tonight' came out of it, self-released, expansive, ambitious. The two of them were a creative force again.

Life moved on. Rob had two boys and wanted them to have what he did not. They did. Raywent on to join East of the Wall, then Cannabis Corpse, then Six Feet Under. He also released jazz quartet records on Sunnyside. Shane built a booming drum shop and business.

Now, the band returns swinging like they never left with their brand new single, "End of Everything."

This is not a reunion. It is a continuation. The reaper takes his time.

Metalcore Band Provenance Release New Single + Music Video "Broken Bonds" via Arson Theory

Massachusetts metalcore band Provenance have released their powerful new single, "Broken Bonds," alongside an accompanying music video that brings the song's themes of betrayal, abandonment, and emotional turmoil to life.

Released via Arson Theory, the four-piece metalcore band from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, formed in 2025 and has quickly begun carving out its place in the modern heavy music scene with an aggressive sound.

At the heart of "Broken Bonds" is a deeply personal message about being left behind when support is needed most. RAZORWIRE HALO Take On NINE INCH NAILS Classic with Haunting New Cover Of "SOMETHING I CAN NEVER HAVE"

"When approaching the cover of "Something I Can Never Have", our goal was not to reinvent the song, but to honor what made it special while incorporating elements of our own musical identity. We stayed closely aligned with the original piano and synth-driven foundation, preserving the mood and intimacy that define the track. At the same time, we introduced our own stylistic touches through the performance, production and overall sonic texture to create a version that feels both familiar and uniquely ours."

The recording process focused heavily on atmosphere and emotion. We wanted every piano note, synth layer, and vocal phrase to contribute to the emotional journey of the song. Rather than overcomplicating the arrangement, we concentrated on capturing the sense of longing and reflection that has made the original such a timeless piece. Finding the right balance between staying faithful to the source material and expressing our own artistic voice was the most important part of the process.

Covering "Something I Can Never Have" was an opportunity to pay tribute to a song that has inspired us for years, and we are excited to share our interpretation with listeners who have loved the original as much as we do.

RAZORWIRE HALO has never been a band afraid to embrace darkness, vulnerability, and raw emotion. Now, the band is paying tribute to one of the most influential acts in alternative and industrial rock history with their powerful new rendition of the Nine Inch Nails classic, "Something I Can Never Have."

Originally appearing on Nine Inch Nails' groundbreaking 1989 debut Pretty Hate Machine, the song has long stood as one of Trent Reznor's most emotionally devastating compositions. Rather than simply recreate the original, RAZORWIRE HALOdigs deep into the song's haunting core, delivering a version that is both respectful of its legacy and unmistakably their own.

From the opening notes, RAZORWIRE HALO transforms the familiar track into a cinematic journey of heartbreak, obsession, loss, and longing. Atmospheric textures, crushing dynamics, and emotionally charged vocals breathe new life into a song that has resonated with listeners for generations.
