DISTANT Drop New Single and Video for "Flesh and Nails" from Album "Into Despair"

While the release day for their upcoming album, Into Despair, is slowly approaching, DISTANT are releasing another single that showcases the strong bonds within the deathcore community. After already appearing on fan-favorite "Argent Justice," Kyle Medina has once again lent his vocals to the latest single and video “Flesh and Nails." If you've ever wondered what deathcore in a haunted pool looks and sounds like, watch the video below, which was produced and filmed by Bart Sperling.

The band comments, "On 'Flesh & Nails,' we join forces with our longtime friend Kyle Medina for a powerful and uncompromising exploration of betrayal, deception, and broken trust. The track confronts the reality of those who hide behind false loyalty, only to turn their backs when it matters most. Channelling anger, frustration, and hard-earned clarity, 'Flesh & Nails' captures the emotional weight of discovering who people truly are when the façade falls away. It stands as a visceral statement on betrayal and the lasting scars left by those closest to us."

It is the next single taken from the upcoming album, Into Despair, which will be released on November 6. Pre-order HERE

Into Despair is DISTANT's most personal and emotional work to date, exploring real-life struggles, loss, and the shared grief that connects humanity. The album dives deep into the darker corners of the human experience while finding solace in collective understanding. DISTANT elaborate, "Driven by raw honesty and pure emotion, Into Despair is an album born from personal battles and lived experiences. Every song carries pieces of each member's own journey, with moments of pain, reflection, and resilience woven into a deeply intimate body of work. More than just a collection of songs, Into Despair is a cathartic expression of vulnerability and a reminder that even in our darkest moments, grief is something we all share. It stands as the band's most heartfelt and authentic statement yet, transforming personal suffering into something universally resonant."

DISTANT are keeping things busy and their grim, ultra-heavy deathcore on the road. After already touring Europe with Sylosis, they just finished another U.S. run including several shows with In Flames and Thrown. Come January of 2027, you can catch them on the "New World Killer EU/UK 2027" tour with Spite, Emmure, and Mauled.

DISTANT have become one of the prominent faces of European Deathcore. Melding together brutal death metal, slam, noise and beatdown with a hyper-dissonant orchestra of impending doom, they've come eons since their origins as metalcore obsessed friends in Rotterdam and Bratislava.

(Hed) P.E. Launch Creator One Records, Release New Single + Video "Violent Girl"

For more than three decades, (HED) P.E. have refused to follow trends, choosing instead to forge their own path through a fearless fusion of punk, metal, hip-hop, and hard rock. Now, the California pioneers are taking that independent spirit to the next level with the launch of their own record label, Creator One Records, built around one simple philosophy: Created By The People. For The People.

Kicking off this exciting new chapter, (HED) P.E. have unleashed their new single and music video, "Violent Girl." The track is from their forthcoming new album Relapse due out this October and delivers the raw intensity and unmistakable attitude that have defined the band's career while leaving listeners with plenty to unpack beneath the surface.

Frontman Jahred Gomes explains:

"Violent Girl is not a song about a girl! It's an analogy, a metaphor. I'd rather the listener figure it out than just give away the secrets."

Rather than offering easy answers, "Violent Girl" invites fans to interpret its meaning for themselves, continuing the band's tradition of pairing hard-hitting music with thought-provoking themes.

The launch of Creator One Records represents another milestone in (HED) P.E.'senduring DIY legacy. Built on the belief that artists should maintain creative freedom and connect directly with their audience, the label embodies its mission statement: Created By The People. For The People.

Fans can catch the band on the road this fall as they join Nonpoint and Spineshank on the "Even More Outta Control Tour," bringing their legendary live show to audiences across the country while ushering in this bold new era.

With the launch of Creator One Records, the release of "Violent Girl," and a nationwide tour, (HED) P.E. continue to do what they've always done best: create music on their own terms while staying true to the fans who have supported them every step of the way.

French Folk Band SKÁLD Release "Himinbjǫrg" Video

French ritualists SKÁLD lift the veil to reveal another glimpse into our ancient destiny. "Himinbjǫrg," the second single off of their upcoming album, Ørlǫg (coming September 25 via Napalm Records), reaches far out to the edge of Asgard, realm of the Gods. At the eponymous castle in the sky, Heimdall keeps watch for invaders at the rainbow bridge, Bifröst. SKÁLD lend Asgard's guardian an assertive voice, letting the song serve as an emphatic yet reassuring guide through our sometimes-clouded destiny. The drum-driven song extends the folk musicians' invitation to step into ancient times and dance among reawakened spirits.

SKÁLD about "Himinbjǫrg":
"'Himinbjǫrg' invites us to step onto the threshold, to the gateway at the edge of the sky, to face the guardian's gaze—are we ready to be judged as we reach the end of the bridge? These cliffs in the sky are a mirror of our actions, our ambitions, our Ørlǫg; it is a long journey toward something greater — let us ride on without fear."

Watch the Official Music Video for "Himinbjǫrg"Below:

Ancient spirits come alive as SKÁLD extend an invitation into times long gone but not forgotten. Ørlǫg, coming September 25, 2026, is their first album via Napalm Records, and it is our destiny. As the Norns weave our future, this album is a fascinating passageway into our pristine origins and the consequences of our choices. Ten new songs as stepping stones, Ørlǫg is an offering to listen, to dwell, to reflect—and to find something within yourself previously unknown. SKÁLD don't just play music, they awaken ancient ways.

A staple band in the genre, SKÁLD deliver a striking work of art with their latest album, deferentially using their sources to keep old spirits alive and form the enchanting world of Ørlǫg. The language might sound unfamiliar, but the music still touches the soul.

SKÁLD about Ørlǫg:
"Ørlǫg is the cosmic web that influences the world and every person. Part of our Ørlǫg is determined by our birth, our past actions, and our upbringing, but Ørlǫg is not set in stone; our daily choices are constantly shaping it. What we do now and what we have done in the past determines what will happen to us in the future; we cannot escape the consequences of our actions. This album makes us question our choices—both individual and collective—and the patterns we accept or reject. The Norns weave our destiny, but we can take control of certain things: travel, ride worlds, and grow. Each song on this album describes a situation, a place, a choice to be made. Let's take hold of our Ørlǫg."

Hard Rockers NESTOR Unleash Live Version of "Teenage Rebel"

Swedish hard rockers NESTOR are set to release their first ever live album Live at Gothenburg Film Studios this August 14 via Napalm Records! Today, the band has revealed the final single with a powerful live version of their celebrated '80s-inspired anthem "Teenage Rebel," together with a live video. "Teenage Rebel" was originally released as the title track of the band's critically acclaimed latest studio album (2024) that received international chart success, including reaching #12 on Official German Album Charts and #19 in Sweden. Drenched in nostalgia, the song features epic riffing, emotion-loaded melodies and a massive chorus that shines even brighter than before on the live version. Watch the captivating live video below, and secure your copy of Live at Gothenburg Film Studios now!

Vocalist Tobias Gustavsson comments:
"'Teenage Rebel' is all about lost youth. About being careless. About being fearless and living every day like there's no tomorrow. We believe that message really shines through in this live performance of the song."

Check Out the Live Video for "Teenage Rebel" Below:

Live at Gothenburg Film Studios treats fans old and new to a hefty selection of live versions of future classics from NESTOR's celebrated catalogue. The band brings the heat with a new rendition of the track "Firesign" (originally from Kids in a ghost town, 2021) — catchy riffs and rhythms carry the heavily '80s-inspired, authentic sound that is topped with impressive rock vocals. The nostalgia-drenched following track "Teenage Rebel" (title track of the latest studio album, 2024) gets audiences singing along without a failure with its irresistible chorus that is accompanied with emotion-loaded melodies and massive riffs. Further highlights of this extensive, 16-track offering include a live rendition of one of the biggest NESTOR hits to date, "On The Run" (also from the praised debut Kids in a ghost town, 2021).

This comprehensive live album, available even as a DVD, draws from NESTOR's impressive repertoire of arena-worthy anthems and rock ballads, polished with the very best AOR and classic '80s rock influences. Without a doubt, NESTOR continue their steady mission to restore the glory of rock!

Vocalist Tobias Gustavsson comments:
"When I listen to Live at Gothenburg Film Studios, it becomes clear to me that it shows everything that NESTOR was about, from the beginning. A live performance with all the little quirks and mistakes that makes it human, a thing that I have learned to love even more in an era of AI-generated music. Live at Gothenburg Film Studios is less clinical and more of a human experience in comparison to our studio albums and shows a different side of NESTOR. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did recording it up on stage."

Gåte Release New Single "Strandvaskar"

Gåte are one of the most distinct bands to come out of Norway. The band have topped the Norwegian charts, won a Norwegian Grammy and represented Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. Now, they are expanding their groundbreaking mix of Nordic folk and modern rock on their upcoming new album Sigil.

Today, Gåte are releasing “Strandvaskar” as the second advanced single from Sigil.  With Hardanger fiddle and mystical electronics, the song pulls from the Norwegian superstition that a body washed ashore must be given a proper burial, lest the sea return to reclaim what it’s lost.

Listen to “Strandvaskar” below.

Sigil comes out September 25 on Season of Mist.

Pre-order

https://orcd.co/gatesigil

Sigil is Gåte’s most ambitious album yet. The album recounts ancient legend and folk narratives to ask what survives once illusion falls away.

"Strandvaskar" names the drowned rather than the finder. The song stages a quiet, unresolved dialogue between the two: a voice with no sound that speaks, eyes that flicker and slowly fill with blue as the sea reclaims its own. The narrator is pulled toward the dead and pulls back, not from horror but fear, letting go rather than being able to hold on.

Gåte’s upcoming fall tour will bring the band to nine cities across Norway, plus one date in Istanbul, Turkey. During this ten date run, they will perform  new songs from Sigil, along with fan favorites from their celebrated discography.

Post-punk torchbearers THEN COMES SILENCE deliver "Judgement Day", announcing "Requiem Ballroom" album

Stockholm-based post-punk trio Then Comes Silence makes a brazen return with their new single 'Judgement Day', a dark and driving anthem that embraces failure, reckless choices, and the thrill of living without regrets. Along with a high-energy video by Damon Zurawski, this song celebrates those who burn brightly on borrowed time as doomsday looms. This is the first single from their 'Requiem Ballroom' album, to be released via Metropolis Records.

Formed in 2012 by vocalist-bassist Alex Svenson, Then Comes Silence has operated as a tightly focused trio since 2022, along with drummer Jonas Fransson and guitarist Hugo Zombie. Together, they have refined Then Comes Silence into its most direct, powerful and uncompromising form.

'Judgement Days' opens with a catchy Euro techno melody, contrasting with the band’s roots and signature sound. A brooding yet danceable collision of post-punk intensity and unexpected Euro-techno flourishes, it paints a portrait of sinners embracing their final celebration before the inevitable reckoning.

"'Judgement Day' was the first song I wrote for this album - an homage to our musical heroes Killing Joke. Hugo came up with the guitar sound early in the process. This song celebrates the wicked ones having a good run til their end days. In some people's eyes, we too are rock 'n' rolling, beer drinking geezers that most likely will be the first to go. So be it. We had a good run," says Alex Svenson.

Hugo Zombie adds, "The guitar is inspired by Killing Joke and is a little tribute to Geordie. We haven't played it live, but we will perform it for the first time at M’era Luna Festival in August. It should go well."

'Judgement Day' is about failure, bad decisions, and poor behavior - a nod to those who will be first in line on doomsday. The techno element is juxtapositional given the subject matter. Ultimately, the band “fails” by letting something completely unexpected and out-of-character takeover. A swaggering gothic rocker that turns self-destruction and the ticking of time into an irresistible celebration of the wicked,

"We gave a performance in the photo studio when shooting the music video. It was like a regular concert with the extras dancing around the band. People seemed to enjoy being involved in the making of this video - it's easy to dance to and has a good dynamic," says Alex Svenson.

Jonas Fransson shares, "We invited a bunch of friends to join us for the music video shoot, and one of them happens to be a 16-year-old Miniature Pinscher. He is almost completely deaf, so he didn't mind walking around the studio while we were playing. The video isn't cut and finished yet, but there's a good chance he'll end up in it."

'Requiem Ballroom' is divided into two parts, the 'Ballroom' mixed by Jon Bordon (Nicole Sabouné, Melody Club, The Exploding Boy) and the 'Requiem' half mixed by Tom van Heesch (Rammstein, Apocalyptica, Backyard Babies). This album was then mastered by Svante Forsbäck / Chartmakers (Rammstein, Amaranthe, Ville Valo, The Rasmus, Apocalyptica)

Then Comes Silence has become one of the leading names on today’s goth, post-punk and darkwave scene. Driven by a fascination with horror, the occult and the raw intensity of underground music, the band has forged a distinctive sound that has earned them a devoted international following.

With the German post-punk scene their second home, they have, for years, toured relentlessly. Continually expanding their geographic reach, they have cemented their reputation as one of the scene’s hardest working bands. With several releases through Metropolis Records, they have further strengthening their international presence. Their impending eighth album follows ‘Trickery’ (2024) and 'Hunger' (2022), jointly released by Metropolis and Nexilis Records / Schubert Music.

With dark atmospheres, driving rhythms, razor-sharp hooks and explosive performances, Then Comes Silence continue to push forward. They have earned their place at the forefront of the modern gothic rock and post-punk movement, proving themselves to be a vital contemporary live acts with frequent touring across North America, Latin America and Europe.

Then Comes Silence have shared the stage with acts such as The Fields of the Nephilim, Clan of Xymox, The Chameleons, A Place To Bury Strangers, Pink Turns Blue and The Bellwether Syndicate, while appearing at many of Europe’s premier alternative festivals, including M’era Luna, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Amphi Festival, Castle Party, Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival and W-Festival.

As of August 7, 'Judgement Day' is available digitally everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where the latest 'Trickery' album is also available on vinyl and CD. Tickets for Then Comes Silence performances can be obtained at https://thencomessilence.eu

Liverpool's The Room unveils 'Things Have Learnt To Walk That Ought To Crawl', teasing new album

Liverpool post-punk pioneers The Room present 'Things Have Learnt to Walk that Ought to Crawl', an adrenaline-fueled blast of melodic post-punk that celebrates one of the band's earlier compositions, now with a contemporary sheen. Reaffirming the relevance of its themes in today's increasingly uncertain world, this is the second single from their third album 'Doom Pop!', released via 9x9 Records, following the lead track 'Drill, Baby, Drill!'

Driven by jangling guitars, relentless momentum, and distinctive drumming, the accompanying video was produced by Marco Cecere. In re-envisioning their 1982 cult classic, the band revisits their roots, exploring themes that remain topical today, proving the enduring power of this music,

Recorded and mixed at Ark Studios in Liverpool, this album was co-produced by Dave Jackson and Steve Powell (Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band, Autour De Lucie, Echo & The Bunnymen).

Favourites of John Peel, The Room was formed by singer Dave Jackson and bassist Becky Stringer in 1979, during the golden years of northern English post-punk. Reforming in 2022 after disbanding in 1985, they are now joined by guitarist Darren Brown, keyboardist Ethan Kyme, and original drummer Clive Thomas. They have since performed at Shiiine On festival and Preston Pop Fest, and have toured or played with The Red Guitars, Blue Orchids, Trupa Trupa, and Estonia with Shelton San.

The Room recorded four John Peel sessions, appeared on The Whistle Test and worked with Television's Tom Verlaine and John Porter (Roxy Music, TheSmiths, Billy Bragg) on their 'In Evil Hour' LP (1984), aside from releasing three other albums ('Bitter Reaction' in 1980, 'Indoor Fireworks' in 1982 and 'Clear!' in 1983. Recordings from Janice Long's BBC Radio One programme and Saturday Live were used for the 1985 release 'Jackpot Jack' EP

The Room toured the UK and the USA, and performed with The Fall, The Birthday Party, Bauhaus, Southern Death Cult, Violent Femmes, Tom Verlaine, John Foxx and The Red Guitars. Following the band's split, Becky and Dave went on to form Benny Profane, Dust and Dead Cowboys. Dave has also recorded under his own name and as The Room in the Wood (with Paul Cavanagh).

'Doom Pop!' is The Room's third album with 9x9 Records, preceded by 'Restless Fate' (2023) and 'The Telling'(2024). This a collection of ten hook-driven post-punk songs confronts the anxieties of modern life, balancing political urgency with imagination and nostalgia.

"We aimed at shorter, sharper, more pop-oriented songs than on our previous album 'The Telling', which was a continuous story told in eleven songs without repetition or distinct choruses. The ‘pop’ element mainly harks back to the roots of our music, updating our original spiky, post-punk independent sound with Ethan’ Kyme’s keyboard stylings. Lyrically, it is a response to the current climate of emerging fascism and paranoia that increasingly colonizes all media," says Dave Jackson.

"'Things Have Learnt to Walk that Ought to Crawl' is a the only older song re-envisioned for this album, and one of only three 1980s songs by The Room to survive in our live set. We decided to re-record and release it as it fits neatly into our new repertoire with its exhilarating jangly forward thrust, and also highlights Clive Thomas’ unique drumming."

In examining the strange days in we are living, ‘Doom Pop!’ explores the rise of authoritarianism, disinformation, war and paranoia. But it equally draws inspiration from science fiction, horror, and cinematic liminal spaces, influenced by Béla Tarr's films, Tarkovsky's 'Stalker', and a science fiction story, called 'Trespassing', that Dave Jackson is currently developing as a screenplay.

As of August 12th, 'Things Have Learnt to Walk that Ought to Crawl' is available digitally, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. On September 4th, the full 'Doom Pop!' album will be released digitally, on CD and on limited edition mixed eco-vinyl. In North America, both physical formats are available via Darla Records.

Guitar Powerhouse JARED JAMES NICHOLS Releases New Video For "Dust N' Bones"

JARED JAMES NICHOLS is stoked to drop a new video for his latest single "Dust N' Bones." The track is taken from his fourth studio album, 'Louder Than Fate,' which was released earlier this summer via Frontiers Music Srl.

NICHOLS comments on "Dust N' Bones":

"Dust N' Bones is an all-out anthem for anyone who lives and breathes good old-fashioned rock & roll. I wrote this one with my good friend Jacob Bunton, and we pulled absolutely no punches. This track has no mercy—just loud guitars, big hooks, and pure rock attitude. Turn it all the way up!"

Watch the Video for "Dust N' Bones" Below:

'Louder Than Fate' was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (AnthraxStone Sour, Amon Amarth, Skindred, and Steel Panther) with additional production by Roger Alan Nichols(Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and Hayley Williams of Paramore), 'Louder Than Fate' balances muscle and melody, combining thunderous riffs, searing solos, and emotionally charged vocals with a modern, punchy production. The songs move effortlessly between hard-hitting rock anthems and more reflective, dynamic moments, showcasing NICHOLS’ ability to fuse classic influences with a contemporary edge. Tracks like “Bending or Breaking” and “Killing Time” expand the sonic palette with subtle keyboards and cinematic string arrangements, adding depth without ever sacrificing power.

Since his breakout debut, JARED JAMES NICHOLS has built a reputation as one of the most electrifying guitarists and performers of his generation. Known for his unmistakable tone, fearless playing style, and commanding stage presence, he has toured extensively across the US and Europe, sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock and earning praise from fans and critics alike.

'Louder Than Fate' is not just an album — it’s a declaration. A record that speaks to resilience, conviction, and the unstoppable force of an artist who plays every note as if it truly matters. Loud, honest, and deeply human, this is JARED JAMES NICHOLS at his absolute best.

Miranda Lambert Announces Billy Bob's Album Release Show to Celebrate 'Crisco'

In celebration of her highly anticipated new album Crisco arriving Oct. 2 via MCA, Miranda Lambert will return to her home state for a one-night-only album release show on Tuesday, Oct. 6, with tickets on sale to the general public this Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. CT via MirandaLambert.com.

Fittingly, the celebration will take place at Billy Bob’s Texas, where generations of fans have filled one of country music’s most iconic dance floors. It’s a natural homecoming for Crisco, an album inspired by the long-overlooked kinship between country music’s dance hall tradition and its shared heartbeat with disco clubs.

“When I was in the studio recording Crisco, I kept picturing the rhinestone saddle at Billy Bob’s,” shares Lambert. “It’s the perfect visual for a country disco album: honky tonk with some extra rhinestones and shine. I’ve played some of my all-time favorite shows at Billy Bob’s and it felt like the best place to bring everyone together to have fun and live out the feeling of this album.”

The show announcement comes on the heels of Friday’s release of “Sunset Marquis,” a dreamy, California-soaked song that joins the previously released title track plus “Till The Going’s Gone” and GRAMMY-nominated duet “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton in showcasing the vibrant layers and joyful creative spirit at the heart of Crisco

About Miranda Lambert
Critically acclaimed groundbreaker/songwriter/superstar Miranda Lambert has defined her multifaceted career as an artist, entertainer, producer, entrepreneur, advocate and businesswoman with an unflinching quest for excellence, honesty and conviction. GRAMMY-nominated single “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton arrived recently as the biggest streaming debut of her career, with Rolling Stone praising its “dreamy disco groove and lovestruck devotion.” The song appears on her forthcoming album Crisco arriving October 2 via MCA. The new project follows her 2024’s GRAMMY-nominated Postcards from Texas, which continued her unbroken streak of 10 consecutive Top 10s on the Top Country Albums chart. The most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, including their top honor for Entertainer of the Year, she has also won three GRAMMYs and 14 Country Music Association Awards. A TIME100 honoree and perennial best-of-the-year list maker at the New York Times, TIME, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum, People and more, NPR has called her “the most riveting country star of her generation.”

Lambert has taken those standards to become a label co-founder, teaming with longtime collaborator Jon Randall to launch their own imprint, Big Loud Texas, in partnership with Big Loud Records. She is also a New York Times bestselling author and the first female restaurateur on Lower Broadway with her Tex-Mex cantina Casa Rosa, while also expanding her creative reach with her Wanda June Home collection as well as Idyllwind, her western clothing, accessories and footwear brand at Boot Barn. Her passion for animals inspired the creation of MuttNation Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit which has raised over $13 million since inception to promote shelter pet adoption, support rescue organizations nationwide, advance spay & neuter and help shelters recover from natural disaster.

JAH WOBBLE & TIAN QIYI to release 'Mystic Liverpool: The Beatles Psychedelic Psongbook' via Cherry Red Records

East London music icon Jah Wobble and Liverpool duo Tian Qiyi are ready to introduce 'Mystic Liverpool: The Beatles' Psychedelic Psongbook' to the world on August 14th via Cherry Red Records and Wobble's label 30 Hertz. Previewed by 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Tomorrow Never Knows', these reimaginings treat the material as the genuinely mystical music it always was, with 'Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Magical Mystery Tour' as particular touchstones.

These ten tracks travel through the most exploratory corners of The Beatles' catalogue. Not simply nostalgic covers, 'Mystic Liverpool' treats these songs as a starting point for something more personal: a meeting point between Liverpool, China and Mongolia, between family tradition and contemporary dub, and between the music Wobble grew up with and the musical world his sons have inherited.

Jointly produced by Jah Wobble (aka John Wardle) and his sons John T Wardle and Charlie Wardle (a.k.a. Tian Qiyi), this album was recorded and mixed by John T at Pagoda Studios in Liverpool. Together, they have made these songs uniquely their own, drawing on Wobble’s signature dub bass, John T’s drums, Chinese percussion and yangqin, and Charlie’s vocals, erhu and morin khuur. The boys' mother Zi Lan Liao — a Royal Academy of Music–trained harpist and the most recognized gu-zheng performer worldwide — also contributes gu-zheng on 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.

As of August 14th, the 'Mystic Liverpool' is available from digital music platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, where 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Strawberry Fields Forever' can also be found. In addition to the digital version, the album will also be released as a CD Digipack.

Jah Wobble & Tian Qiyi perform that day at Suffield Summer ¡Fiesta! 2026. Throughout 2026, Jah Wobble and The Invaders Of The Heart are also touring, with tickets at https://jahwobble.com/#live

WATCH the Official Music Video for "The One That Eats You" Below:

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.

This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. Mark, the groove-obsessed bassist, ties it all together.

The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man”that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.

For fans of alternative rock, this band is a throwback and a revelation—a reminder of why you fell in love with the genre’s raw honesty and a promise that its spirit still burns. The Intemperate Sons aren’t chasing trends; they’re carving their own path, one riff, one lyric, one night at a time.performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style which has a retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

Devil Metal Quartet NUNSLAUGHTER Unleashes New Single "Listen to the Lies" + Official Video

Today, Cleveland’s unholy denizens of the underground, NUNSLAUGHTER, unleash their new single "Listen to the Lies," taken from the recently released album 'Satanic Chaos Legions,'out now via BLKIIBLK. The new track arrives alongside an official video.

On "Listen to the Lies," vocalist Don of the Dead shares:

"Religion is the biggest, blood-soaked lie ever imposed upon mankind! Rip the blindfold off and use your goddamn common sense, you brain-dead, ignorant bastards! Don't listen to the lies."

Watch the Official Video for "Listen to the Lies" Below:

A constant in extreme metal and an unyielding inspiration for generations of black metal and thrash provocateurs, NUNSLAUGHTER’s latest hymnal of brutality kicks off with a call to irreligious arms and doesn’t let go until the bloody end. Tracks like the grinding “Peukharist”or the uncompromising “Unsacrament” batter the senses like the bastard offspring of Slayerand 'Earth A.D.'-era Misfits, inverting crucifixes while worshipping at the hoof of the ibex.

Having already set fire to the international metal scene with festival appearances across the globe and a European tour on the way, make no mistake: NUNSLAUGHTER’s campaign of world-defilement is just beginning.

On the new album, Don of the Dead shares:

"With BLKIIBLK on our side, NUNSLAUGHTER can ram the black horn of Satan down the throats of every metalhead on the planet, spitting fresh venom and blistering hatred directly into the rotting face of Christianity with 'Satanic Chaos Legions.'"

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: Half Me Drop New Release

German hardcore powerhouse HALF ME announce their sophomore album DOGMA, set for release on October 23 via Arising Empire. The album is available for pre-order in a variety of exclusive formats. Following the band's relentless rise over the past years, the record marks their most ambitious and uncompromising work to date, expanding both their sonic identity and the conceptual depth that has become a defining characteristic of their music.

At its core, DOGMA is a reflection on a society willingly taking part in its own collapse. The album explores a world shaped by fear, manipulated through division and consumed by distractions that keep people from questioning the systems surrounding them. Truth and lies dissolve into blurred lines, leaving humanity trapped in a state of trauma induced ignorance where people unknowingly become complicit in their own demise.

According to the band, DOGMA begins from the unsettling assumption that the damage may already be irreversible. Rather than offering solutions, the album challenges listeners to question accepted narratives, confront absolute truths and look beyond the systems that thrive on fear, obedience and complacency. It is not a call to arms, but an invitation to think critically and look behind the dogma.

Musically, DOGMA sees HALF ME pushing their sound further than ever before. Combining crushing metallic hardcore, oppressive grooves and emotionally charged songwriting with an even stronger focus on atmosphere and dynamics, the album delivers some of the band's heaviest, darkest and most emotionally resonant material to date.

With DOGMA, HALF ME present an album that refuses to comfort or provide easy answers. Instead, it invites listeners to look behind the narratives they are taught to accept, question the structures that shape their reality and confront a society that may already be embracing its own collapse.

NEW SINGLE: The Toxhards Unmask “Mr. Clifford”

Theatrical alt-rock oddities, The Toxhards, have released their latest track, "Mr. Clifford", a gleefully deranged anthem based on the true story of Clifford Clinton and the kind of off-kilter storytelling that catapulted their smash hit "ÆNGUS, The Prize-Winning Hog" into millions of views. Out now via Hopeless Records, the brand new track flips the perspective to the corrupt politicians painting Clifford Clinton as a neighborhood nuisance with messiah complex tendencies, political delusions, and a smile that never quite reaches the eyes. Watch the video for the brand new track, "Mr. Clifford" BELOW.

Set against a manic, sing along groove, "Mr. Clifford" finds The Toxhards relishing a caricature of charm gone rotten. Equal parts creepy and catchy, the song builds its world around a figure who promises everything, poisons the well, and leaves the whole block wondering how things got so strange.

Following their previous single, "ALLIGATOR CROCODILE", The Toxhards continue to do what they do best - taking bizarre, specific characters and turning them into something universally entertaining. Weirdly fun, "Mr. Clifford" delivers the band's trademark blend of bite, humor, and theatrical chaos.

Armed with songs about hog gods, suburbia-induced panic, and love stories that fray at the edges, The Toxhards are continuing their Get Destructive Tour like a twenty six stop live wire experiment in how far they can push a rock show before it morphs into a full-blown cathartic meltdown with a mosh pit. Each night promises a slightly different strain of chaos, where the band will be swapping instruments, derailing songs into choreographed (and unchoreographed) bits, and crowd interaction that blurs the line between show and shared hallucination. Fans can purchase tickets now HERE.

What started as a casual hobby project among college friends has since grown into one of alternative rock's most distinctive cult followings. The Toxhards built their audience in the modern way, a breakout TikTok moment behind their single, "How Lucky Am I?" that snowballed into a string of increasingly unhinged fan favorites. First, "Doombop", a genre-blending blast of existential noise that cemented the band's reputation for delightful chaos. Then, "Ængus, The Prize-Winning Hog", a song about a hog deity that somehow racked up over 7 million views across social media and even caught the attention of Hopeless Records, who signed the band in 2023.

Last year saw the release of their debut full-length concept album, "Your Neighborhood", a record that follows a young man's spiral through heartbreak, grief, isolation, and a brush with death that forces an uncomfortable reckoning. Earning widespread praise from Knotfest and The Needle Drop for the band's songwriting ambition, melodic instincts, and insane live presence, "Your Neighborhood" made it clear that The Toxhards are a band with something for everyone and everything for someone.

Stay tuned for more news from The Toxhards soon.

Weathers Drop New Single "Antidote" And Official Music Video via Big Machine Rock

Alt-rock powerhouse Weathers have released their latest banger "Antidote" and the official video. Prior to today, the band dropped "Happy Pills (Higher Dose)", breathing new life into the fan-favorite track "Happy Pills" (via Big Machine Rock). Speaking about the inspiration behind their release, the band shared:

‘Antidote’ reflects personal experiences with having too much fun to the point of going off the rails. And then finding yourself unable to help yourself, therefore needing someone to help pick you back up even though you’ve hurt them during your downward spiral. We realized early on that the demo of this song captured a sense of vulnerability that couldn’t be recreated leading to most of the song being the original cuts including the vocals.”

Fans will have their chance to see the quartet tear up the stage across the US alongside alt-pop duo VOILÀ and Ella Red, on the theatrically immersive 'Moonbloom' tour, featuring aerial acts, sword swallowers, magicians, and jugglers. The tour kicks off on Tuesday, October 27 in Los Angeles, California at The Fonda, with No Love For The Middle Child joining the lineup for that evening only (ticket info here). ABOUT WEATHERS

Southern California-based alternative rock band Weathers — lead singer/frontman Cameron Boyer, guitarist Cameron Olsen and bassist Brennen Bates — have been consistently creating finely crafted introspective pop songs heavily inspired by the counter-culture of the 80s and 90s since forming in 2015. The band makes music that speaks to those among us who tend to forget that, regardless of outward appearances, everyone is struggling with something and that no one is alone. Weathers’ story is a tale of growing up, of coming into one’s own, and includes themes of depression or anxiety and the often difficult maintenance of mental health.

They first grabbed listeners' attention with 2016's "Happy Pills," which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Initially, vocalist Boyer and guitarist Olsen met in 2012 while attending a battle of the bands in the Los Angeles suburb of Manhattan Beach. By 2015, they had formed Weathers, recruiting bassist Bates. Signing with RCA Records, they released their debut single, "I Don't Wanna Know," a swaggeringly moody song that drew comparisons to Walk the Moon and The Neighbourhood. Fans followed, and in March 2016 they landed a slot at SXSW. Their follow-up single, "Happy Pills," garnered the band even more attention, becoming the most added track to rock radio in July 2016. In 2018, they issued the Kids in the Night EP, featuring the single "1983."

COLORBLIND Share "Lost in Translation" Ahead of Debut Album Out 8/28

Austin, Texas quartet Colorblind  vocalist Travis Moseley, drummer Tyler Moseley, bassist Nicholas Asper, and guitarist Justin Page — are sharing "LOST IN TRANSLATION," the final track to be released ahead of their upcoming debut album Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold. The album arrives on August 28 via Solid State. Pre-order it here.

Watch the visualizer Below.

Offering one last window into their long-awaited debut record, Travis Moseleyreflects on "Lost in Translation," one of the earlier songs written for Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold. Confronting the disconnect between private struggles and shared experiences that often go unspoken, Moseley muses, "I'm fighting this battle by myself, trapped inside my own head. But the weird part is, we're probably all caught in the same illusion, even when we feel it alone."

Coated in a soothing, colorful atmosphere, "LOST IN TRANSLATION" pairs its understated pulse with Moseley's unmistakably emotive vocal delivery, offering another glimpse into the dynamic and nuanced world that Colorblind have built on their debut full-length.

Colorblind will return to the road this fall with Catch Your Breath. All dates are below.

Outlier Sign to Oxide Records Release New Single + Video "Digital Hell"

Outlier have officially signed with Oxide Records and are wasting no time making their arrival known with the release of their new single and music video, "Digital Hell." The track serves as both a warning and a wake-up call, tackling society's growing dependence on technology and the invisible grip it has on modern life.

"Digital Hell" asks a question few are willing to confront: Are we still controlling technology, or has it quietly begun controlling us?

"We built technology to serve humanity. Somewhere along the way, we began serving it. We traded privacy for convenience, presence for distraction, and truth for algorithms. The most dangerous prison isn’t one with walls, it’s the one we willingly carry in our pockets every day. The next false gods won’t ask to be worshipped, they’ll seek your attention. They’ll promise connection while feeding isolation, promise knowledge while drowning out wisdom, and promise freedom while quietly collecting every piece of who you are. 'Digital Hell' is the soundtrack to a world that may not realize what it’s losing until it’s already gone," says Joey Arena.

He adds, "Not every apocalypse arrives with fire. Some arrive one notification at a time. We surrender our privacy without resistance, mistake constant connection for genuine community, and allow the things we’ve created to define the people we’re becoming."

The release comes on the heels of vocalist Joey Arena's guest appearance on Motionless In White's latest single, "Fight Like Hell," further introducing his voice to an even wider audience.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Arena shared:

"Thank you so much to Motionless In White for having me be a part of something so special and throw down on 'Fight Like Hell.' I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this banger and the creative process. Absolutely loving the fan response and support. Keep running it up!"

With a new label home at Oxide Records and their most ambitious music to date, Outlier are positioning themselves as one of heavy music's most thought-provoking new voices, unafraid to challenge both listeners and the world around them.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Outlier to the Oxide Music roster. This is a band with deep roots in the rock & metal scene who align perfectly with our mission of building the next generation of heavy hitters," says Andrew Wetzel, Founder, Oxide Records.

"Digital Hell" is available now on all major streaming platforms.

FABIO FRIZZI Adds Dates To 2026 FRIZZI 2 FULCI Fall Tour Across North America

FABIO FRIZZI Featuring F2F BAND has added new dates to its previously announced Fall 2026 North American tour, bringing the legendary Italian composer’s celebrated live tribute to filmmaker Lucio Fulci back to the U.S. and Canada this fall.

Newly added performances include Ottawa, ON on September 27; Cincinnati, OH on October 2; Indianapolis, IN on October 7; St. Louis, MO on October 8; and Redding, CA on October 18.

The FRIZZI 2 FULCI - THE CONCERT - FABIO FRIZZI Featuring F2F BAND tour begins September 23 in Brooklyn, NY and continues through more than 30 U.S. and Canadian markets, wrapping November 1 in Atlanta, GA. ETHAN LEE MCCARTHY will provide support on select dates.

FABIO FRIZZI, the iconic Italian composer, orchestrator, and conductor behind more than one hundred film and television scores, is known worldwide for his unforgettable collaborations with director Lucio Fulci. Together, their work helped define the sound and atmosphere of Italian genre cinema, with Frizzi creating landmark scores for films including The Beyond, The City of the Living Dead, Zombie 2, Manhattan Baby, and A Cat in the Brain.

Frizzi’s unmistakable music has continued to find new audiences across generations. Quentin Tarantino notably featured the main theme from Frizzi’s Seven Notes in Black in Kill Bill: Vol. 1, further cementing the composer’s influence beyond the world of Italian horror and cult cinema.

With FRIZZI 2 FULCI, Frizzi and the F2F BAND bring these iconic compositions to the stage in a powerful live celebration of his enduring creative partnership with Fulci and the films that made their work legendary.

The 2026 run marks the project’s eleventh tour in the United States and will feature longtime members Riccardo Rocchi, Alessio Contorni, and Francesco Saguto, alongside Dave Neabore on bass and Christopher Hawkind on drums.

Ian Munsick Releases New Song, “Palomino Eyes,” Off Upcoming Album

Wyoming native Ian Munsick continues to intertwine those Western themes he’s known for into his latest release, “Palomino Eyes,” available now. Listen Below.

Written by Munsick and Phil O’Donnell, “Palomino Eyes” places a cowboy’s lens onto rose-colored glasses, emphasizing the beauty of how the world is seen through a partner’s eyes.“Nine times out of ten a song title hits me days, weeks, months or even years before I actually sit down to write it. It’s extremely rare that an idea is born and I have the time and creative juice to write it from start to finish,” Munsick explains. “But when I was driving through the farmland of Tennessee on my way to write with one of my favorite songwriters, Phil O’Donnell, I saw a beautiful Palomino hanging by the fence with enamoring blue eyes. I thought to myself, ‘I have one of those waiting for me at home… Caroline.’”

He continues, “We wrote ‘Palomino Eyes’ in a few hours, unsure which part was the chorus and which part was the verse. That’s probably one of the reasons why it’s my personal favorite song on the album. It doesn’t follow a formula. It’s free and untamed, just like that Palomino and my beautiful wife.”

“Palomino Eyes” is the latest release off Munsick’s upcoming studio album, The Mountain Goat. Spanning 15 tracks, The Mountain Goat is Munsick’s first independent release via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS in partnership with Triple Tigers Records, and was produced by Munsick, Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson. Additionally, five D2C fan packs are available to pre-order on his online store, including an exclusive autographed zoetrope vinyl. Pre-order HERE.

Along with co-producing the album, Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.

Munsick promises to deliver fans a memorable tour of the west with a series of shows during album release week, as well as the launch of his Schaefer Outfitter clothing line on August 18. As part of “The Road to The Mountain Goat,” Munsick’s official album release show will be held at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, Utah on August 22 as part of the Deer Valley Concert Series.

Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Schaefer Outfitter has spent four decades providing western wear to working cowboys and ranchers. Their collection with Munsick will include custom pearl snap shirts, outerwear, hats and graphic tees designed collaboratively between Munsick and the Schaefer team. Fans can enter to win a signed piece of the collection HERE.

Munsick is also partnering with The Landmark Hotel & Casino to open the Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill in Deadwood, S.D on September 18. Built between 1894-1920, The Landmark is Deadwood’s largest historic structure at approximately 35,000 square feet. The Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill will reside within over 2,600 square feet of the footprint. The venue will promote and celebrate country and western music with old school country bar decor, along with two performance stages, one indoors and one outdoors.

About Ian Munsick:
As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick lives in the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever. Marking his first independent album on WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored modern country frontier. Racking up over one billion career streams with previous albums Coyote CryWhite Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among those to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe have found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked. Munsick made history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days – the iconic rodeo known as the “Daddy of ‘Em All” – and with The Mountain Goat, his quest to bring Western mystique to modern fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory.
