Haste the Day Drop Video for "Oblivion"

HASTE THE DAY, the metalcore band that made a scene splash in the '00s, returned in 2024 with the video for the new song "Burn." They also appeared at Furnace Fest that year. It was their first new music in nearly a decade. But they didn't stop there. Not a chance! The band will release its new album DISSENTER on May 1 via Solid State Records. It's HTD's first album since 2015. Pre-order it here.

"'Oblivion' is a cinematic, apocalyptic metalcore track that leans into scale and emotion," the band shares. "The song balances heaviness with atmosphere, creating a sense of finality and awe. Lyrically, 'Oblivion' tells an apocalyptic love story — grappling with loss, reconnection, and what it means to step into the void at the end of all things."

HTD also announced a run of tour dates set for May. They will also appear at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky in September. All upcoming performances are below.

Haste The Day conjure the sound of coming full circle. The Indiana-bred band rekindles the spark at the heart of their signature style by sharpening the edges, tightening the melodies, and amplifying the scope with cinematic ambition. Haste The Day have clung to their integrity since initially emerging at the turn of the century. Following Burning Bridges [2004] and When Everything Falls [2005], Stephen made his formal debut as the group's frontman on Pressure The Hinges [2007]. The band unleashed a trio of fan favorite offerings, namely Dreamer [2008], the seminal Attack Of The Wolf King [2010], and Coward [2015]. The latter marked their second straight Top 20 entry on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and second Top 10 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Along the way, they toured with everyone from Hollywood Undead to Norma Jean. Despite going dormant in 2016, they amassed tens of millions of streams and continued to resonate with an ever-expanding audience. As such, their 2023 reunion gig at the sold-out Furnace Fest was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Returning with their first full-length release in eleven years, the musicians tap into who they were and push forward together on their seventh LP, Dissenter [Solid State].

Flatwounds Release "Chain of Command" EP + Share "Inertia" Video

Albany-based up and comers FLATWOUNDS — Colin O'Hare [vocals], Matt Degnan [guitar], David Granger [bass], and Wade Coonrad [drums] — are thrilled to release their new EP Chain Of Command. It arrived today, March 20, via Blue Grape Music. Get it here. 

Today, the band, which deftly combines a DNA-distinct blend of hardcore and '90s hard rock, shares the video for "Inertia."

"'Inertia' was written with a sense of urgency," says O'Hare. "It's made to pull something out of you that you might not be comfortable with. But that's what it's all about."

Regarding the EP as a whole, O'Hare explained previously, "Chain of Command represents how we've evolved and matured as musicians. This is our sound. It's a little weird, dissonant, melodic, and heavy when it needs to be. The title works because most of the songs are about apathy and a lack of action. There's always a 'chain of command' in life, and it keeps you from doing what you want. It could be societal or in your head. You always have to answer to something, though."

Flatwounds are hitting the road throughout the spring and summer starting with a handful of dates with Excide, and are set to appear at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas next month. The band will also perform at the Sick New World Pre-Show with Mastodon and Melvins at The Chelsea in Las Vegas on April 24.

What would a rock 'n' roll band sound like if it was born from a basement hardcore scene? Well, it might sound a bit like Flatwounds. The Albany, NY quartet could certainly send any floor into a frenzy, yet they also write hooks addictive enough to bring an arena to its feet. Forged by a cold indie underground and even colder East Coast winters, there’s chaotic intensity underneath their concrete infectiousness. The band transfixes with bold hooks and traumatize with jarring and jagged bursts of distortion. As the story goes, Colin had a show booked for December 2022 and needed a band. Knowing one another from around town, he tagged in Wade and Matt (who brought Dave into the fold). Not only did the guys play the aforementioned gig, but they wrote what would become the 2023 Raw EP. Off the latter, "Rust" and "Fade" generated hundreds of thousands of Spotify streams. Flatwounds picked up the momentum with the Down EP and Drain EP. At the top of 2025, "Drenched" surged on TikTok, amassed 171K Spotify streams, and caught the attention of Blue Grape Music and producer Brian Robbins [Beartooth, Pierce The Veil]. Early praise poured in from Revolver, Lambgoat, Idioteq, and more. Now, their signature style firmly takes shape on their 2026 EP Chain of Command [Blue Grape Music] with grit, grime, and gusto intact.

CORI KENNEDY SIGNS WITH WME FOR GLOBAL REPRESENTATION

Rising country artist and viral songwriter Cori Kennedy has signed with WME for global representation.

Hailing from West Concord, Minnesota, Kennedy is quickly emerging as one of country music’s most exciting new voices, blending powerhouse vocals with story-driven songwriting rooted in small-town life. RYAN AND RORY EMERGE AS BREAKOUT STARS AT C2C: COUNTRY TO COUNTRY 2026

Rising country duo Ryan and Rory have cemented their status as one of the most talked-about new acts in country music following a standout weekend at C2C: Country to Country Festival at the O2 Arena in London.  

Performing across the festival’s coveted side stages, the Nashville-based pair delivered a series of high-impact sets that captivated both audiences and industry, marking a defining international breakthrough moment in their career. 

Their natural on-stage chemistry and relatable songwriting created an atmosphere that felt both electric and deeply personal, transforming casual listeners into dedicated new fans returning to see them across the weekend. Over the weekend, the duo struck a seamless balance between high-energy, hook-driven anthems and more intimate, narrative-led moments.

Responding to overwhelming crowd demand — the only encore requested on the stage all weekend — the duo returned to the stage for an emotional performance of "Heaven’s Got a Country Station," which was met with an equally explosive reception and their second standing ovation of the night.  

Adding to their breakout weekend, Ryan and Rory captured the attention of the UK’s biggest country radio stations, Absolute Radio Country, Smooth Country and CountryLine, all of whom interviewed the duo over the festival. This early support from major stations underscores Ryan and Rory’s rising prominence in the UK country music scene and signals that they are an act to watch.

Folk Duo Tabernis Reveals New Single "Mel Obscurum (Palästinalied)" + Video

Folk duo TABERNIS channel the Middle Ages with their new single, "Mel Obscurum (Palästinalied)." KINGDOM COLLAPSE SHARE VIDEO FOR EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE "WATCH YOU BLEED"

Kingdom Collapse create the soundtrack to survival. The San Antonio, TX hard rock band alchemizes unfathomable tragedy, trauma, and loss into massive and magnetic anthems powered by pummeling instrumentation and arena-size hooks that remind you to never give up.

And they do all of the above flawlessly on their new single "Watch You Bleed."

"'Watch You Bleed' wrestles with the desire for revenge and realization that holding onto that negativity only ends up hurting yourself in the end," declares vocalist Jonathan Norris.

Bassist Aaron Smith offers insight into the video, saying, "We decided to showcase the struggle between those feelings of anger while also coming to terms with letting them go. We wanted to depict the fight of good and evil that we all wrestle with internally."

Kingdom Collapse originated out of the childhood friendship between aforementioned vocalist Jonathan Norris and bassist Aaron Smith, who grew up together, found music around the same time, and recognized its power after Jonathan endured the loss of his father at eight-years-old.

In order to cope, he immediately retreated into music and the embrace of a small community — which included Aaron's family. This was the turning point where both boys realized the power of friendship, the power of music, and their potential together.  "I saw my father die right in front of my eyes," Jonathan sighs. "I didn't even know what was happening. In some ways, that darkness has never left. Music became my light. I connected with it, and it gave me hope for the future. Kingdom Collapse is a band that carries that torch."

Jonathan and Aaron each made the rounds in local bands and even collaborated a few times on short-lived projects. When they finally joined forces in Kingdom Collapse, it was as if everything they'd gone through as friends prepared them to make a statement together.

Jonathan tapped Aaron to play bass, and they rounded out the lineup by welcoming guitarist David Work and drummer Gaston Flores into the fold. Their quiet and devoted grind paid off when their breakout track "Uprise" resonated on a global scale, gathering 5 million-plus Spotify streams and bulldozing the way for 2022's independent Unbreakable EP. The latter housed their biggest single to date "Unbreakable," which has generated north of 11 million Spotify streams and hit No. 1 on Octane. In 2025, they caught the attention of Mascot Records and inked a deal with the label. Now, Kingdom Collapse hold nothing back on their new single.

Kingdom Collapse are touring through the summer, supporting Saliva on a sprinkling of dates before heading out with Red through June. The band will also hit several festivals in the summer.

Midwinter Release New EP 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts" And Drop Official Music Video For "Lying Figures" via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter has today released their latest EP, 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts' via Papercut Recordings. In celebration of the release, the band dropped the official music video for their new single, "Lying Figures". Speaking about the track, the band commented:

"This song lives in that desperate space of limbo, when you’re caught between the love you lost and the reality of having to move forward. It’s about the mental struggle of still wanting something you once had, even when you know deep down it wasn’t healthy for you. Musically, we really focused on creating something that feels truly moving. We wanted the instrumentals to carry that weight so the listener can feel the sadness and emotion behind every part of the song."

Get ready for the wild electro Nordic folk of EIHWAR! These "Enfants Terribles" aren’t here for solemn atmospheres—their fierce and festive fantasy is made for raging Viking dancefloors. Backed by Season of Mist (home to Heilung and Danheim), Eihwar burst onto YouTube in 2023 and hasn’t slowed down since. With millions of views and festival appearances at Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, and Midgardsblot at the Midgard Viking Center in Norway, they bring a new wave of pagan power shaking across Europe.

This second album from Eihwar describes the world from which these two pagan superheroes originate. It is "Hugrheim," the 10th hidden world of Yggdrasil in Eihwar's fantasy mythology. The two musicians explain:

“Over the past few years, our souls have gradually taken over the bodies of two human musicians. Through incarnation, we lost much of our memories. All that remains are images, emotions, and fragments from our previous existence, mixed in with the thoughts and memories of our human hosts. In this new song, we evoke the memories that gradually come back to us: memories of Hugrheim, the tenth world of Yggdrasil, hidden and unknown to men. This world is shaped by the Hugr, the spirit. In this realm dwell the invisible forces of the soul and consciousness. When our vessels perish here and our incarnation ends, we will return to Hugrheim. Still, we hope to remain here as long as possible this time, because nowadays the beer is fucking good, the rockstar life is pretty damn cool, and dental anesthesia actually exists.”

Stoned Jesus Release New Video for “See You on The Road”

After 17 years of trailblazing, Stoned Jesus are still reaching new creative peaks. Last year, the heavy progressive rockers embarked on an expansive three-album journey that will take them from the sun to the moon and back. Songs to Sun, the trilogy’s mind-melting opener, was named one of the best albums of 2025 by Doom Charts, Rock Hard, The Obelisk, Weedian, Metal Lair and other publications. While the second album is fast approaching on the horizon, the trio are now firing up the engine with their latest road-burning anthem ahead of a co-headlining European tour with Wheel.

Today, Stoned Jesus are releasing a new video for “See You On The Road”. While the song reflects the wear and tear of life on tour, the accompanying footage from the band’s recent treks across Australia and South America is the perfect place for the song’s headbanging riffs and shout-along chorus.    

“‘See You On The Road’ is a hymn to playing shows’”, frontman Igor Sydorenko says. While the song’s title is common parlance among touring musicians, Stoned Jesus are still guided by a burning need for innovation. “The jumpy main riff is as Soundgarden as it gets, while the closing chants are perfect for stoking a huge crowd”.
