The Ramble:
Yup, it’s official – This year’s Ramble has raised $161,000 for veterans here in the Northeast!! The RallySound and AEG community put forth a massive effort throughout the entire year, and I could not be more proud of what we were able to do together. Musicians were amazing…volunteers knocked it out of the park…Ramblers came together in person and online from all over and participated so generously...doesn't it feel like a magic trick - that being a part of something like this can feel so good while also having such an incredible impact?!?!
Forbidden Release "Mutually Assured Dysfunction" Video
Bay Area thrash legends FORBIDDEN released the video for their first new song in over 15 years with "Divided By Zero" earlier this summer. Watch it here.
They follow up with the video for another new single — "Mutually Assured Dysfunction." It's a riff roarin' rager.
Watch it below.
"'Mutually Assured Dysfunction' is our aggressive follow-up to 'Divided By Zero,'" the band says. "Like a crack to the skull, it lands hard. It's about the DNA of endless arguments that people engage in. Sound bites over substance. This rationale is based upon the M.A.D. agreement of Rational Actors: A doctrine that assumes world leaders will be rational and self-preserving. Therefore, they will avoid any actions that would lead to their own country's demise. This leap of faith leads to the kind of dysfunction that will ultimately lead to our destruction as a species."
A crack to the skull — in more ways than one!
The band's forthcomingtour dates are below.
FORBIDDEN LIVE:
10/12 — Grita Festival — Manizales, Columbia
FORBIDDEN ARE:
Norman Skinner — Vocals
Craig Locicero — Guitar
Dan Mongrain — Guitar
Matt Camacho — Bass
Chris Kontos — Drums
ABOUT FORBIDDEN:
Forbidden were founded in 1985 as Forbidden Evil by singer Russ Anderson and guitarists Craig Locicero and Robb Flynn, bassist John Tegio, and drummer Jim Pittman while in their respective Fremont California High Schools. The quintet started playing house parties and Bay Area clubs such as the Legendary Ruthie’s Inn soon after. After a couple of lineup changes (Paul Bostaph/drums and Matt Camacho/bass) in '86, the band quickly rose through the ranks of Bay Area Thrash to gain a following and notoriety.
Flynn joined VIO-LENCE late '86, and Glen Alvelais was added as the second guitarist. It was this lineup that cemented itself into the Bay Area scene and soon after recorded 1988 release Forbidden Evil for Combat Records. After signing with Combat, the band decided that taking the "Evil" out of the name left them more options and leeway for a future without negative stigma or limitations. In 1989, they started the writing process for their second release, Twisted Into Form, released in April of 1990. This album landed more of a spotlight on the band with its critical acclaim. They supported the album with extensive tours with another legendary Bay Area Thrash band — Death Angel. Both outfits were riding a wave of critical acclaim and solid album sales through the Golden Age of Thrash Metal 1990.
In 1991, Forbidden began working on their third offering, compiling over 2 albums worth of material, which eventually became 1994's Distortion on G.U.N. Records. The band would tour throughout 1994 and 1995, with both Testament and Malevolent Creation. The industry's climate and lack of interest for thrash metal in the mid-90s left the band frustrated and the writing during this era became their fourth album, Green, in 1996, which also led to their eventual breakup of Forbidden in 1997.
Remaining dormant until 2008 when, at the screening of the movie Get Thrashed, Locicero became inspired and contacted the band to reunite. Calvert (then an airline pilot) and Bostaph (Testament's then-drummer) weren't available, After a few lineup changes, the band recorded their 2010 comeback album Omega Wave. After touring stateside with Overkill, as well as a headline run and multiple festivals worldwide, including Santiago Chile's Metal Fest, the band faced further line up changes, and with that, the band dissolved again for another 11 years.
Fast forward to 2023, Forbidden reformed with original members Craig Locicero and Matt Camacho and Omega Wave-era guitarist Steve Smyth. Bay Area native Norman Skinner took on the role of vocalist, thrash punk drum legend Chris Kontos joined in on drums, and Forbidden was officially reborn. Their first appearance back would be Belgium's Alcatraz Metal Festival in 2023. They closed out 2023 with two sold-out performances in the Bay Area supporting the annual Death Angel Christmas Shows. 2024 saw Forbidden performing multiple festivals across the U.S. and Europe before the departure of Smyth, and the welcomed entrance of Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain.
Forbidden surged into 2025 with a singular goal in mind, writing new Forbidden music. This chapter has brought some of their most incredible songwriting yet, with the first new song "Divided By Zero" released in June 2025. Look for more new Forbidden Music in 2026!

Loverboy Kicking Off Fall Dates, Winter Dates
Canadian Music Hall of Famer's LOVERBOY are on the road again this fall, wrapping up a year of successful shows across the US and Canada. LOVERBOY is due to support Styx on the upcoming "Rockin' In Paradise with Styx & Friends" show this Friday October 10th, with more dates supporting the legendary band and headlining shows throughout November and December. Full tour dates below.
One of Canada’s greatest rock exports LOVERBOY continue to be just as relevant to today’s audience as they were over 45 years ago, when vocalist Mike Reno was first introduced to local guitar legend Paul Dean, both veterans of bands on the local Calgary scene, eventually joined by keyboardist Doug Johnson, drummer Matt Frenette and bassist Kenneth “Spider” Sinnaeve, who replaced the late founding member Scott Smith in 2000.
And, in most recent years, LOVERBOY and their music, have appeared in high profile national ads such as Radio Shack, Enterprise’s National Car Rental (with a cameo with Patrick Warburton) and IHOP. For the IHOP campaign, LOVERBOY created a new version of their iconic song, “Working for the Weekend” – only now, everyone’s “Working for the Weekday.” The partnership came to life via a bespoke music video, in which IHOP’s very own Syrup Caddies perform the re-recorded song and star in a remake of the original, classic music video.
With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, LOVERBOY has sold more than 15 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques, including the four-million-selling “Get Lucky,” and a trio of double-platinum releases in their self-titled 1980 debut, 1983’s Keep It Up and 1985’s Lovin’ Every Minute of It. Their string of hits includes, in addition to the anthem “Working for the Weekend,” such arena rock staples as “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” “Notorious”, “Turn Me Loose,” “When It’s Over,” “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Queen of the Broken Hearts.”

ABOUT I SEE STARS
Somehow, it’s been nearly a decade since the last I See Stars album. There have, however, been a few hints and glimpses of it over the past couple of years. In 2023, the electronicore pioneers released four songs: “Anomaly”, “Drift”, “are we 3ven” and “D4MAGE DONE”, while in 2024 they put out “SPLIT”. While all five songs do appear on this record, they only revealed a fraction of what the band—these days comprised of Brent Allen (guitar), Andrew Oliver (keyboards/programming), Devin Oliver (clean and unclean vocals) and Jeff Valentine (bass)—had in store. Because THE WHEEL, the band’s sixth full-length, is an album in the truest sense of the word, one designed to be listened to in full from beginning to end, and which truly immerses you in its world when you do. It’s the product of a lot of patience, a lot of care, a lot of time, some of which was by design, some of which was out of the band’s control.
After releasing Treehouse in 2016 and then touring on it, I See Stars did actually start working on a new album, but when Covid hit, they scrapped pretty much all of it to instead sharpen their focus. There was, after all, nothing but time, so the band decided to spend it making a record that lived up to their own expectations and which fully matched their artistic vision.
“It gave us the opportunity to take a step back and really dive into what we wanted to actually dig in and write,” says Jeff. “Not that what was done before was bad, but this gave the four of us an opportunity to sit in a room with each other and just write.”
As such, THE WHEEL is a fully-formed living memory of both of those eras, and one that places the listener right there with the band. “It's really kind of a special piece,” continues Devin, “and you feel that in the journey when you're listening to the album front to back. You feel us swimming in the mystery of what life was doing and where it was taking us.”
Produced by David Bendeth, and mostly mixed by Zakk Cervini—though Tom Norris also worked on a couple of tracks—THE WHEEL took on a life of its own when the band started making it. The album begins with “Spin It”, which is simply the sound of a wheel being spun. It’s not just for aesthetic purposes, though. In the studio each day, the band would spin a web-based digital wheel to determine which song they would work on, but it was also a way to add some levity to the creative process.
“We would throw all the songs onto this website wheel,” remembers Andrew, “as well as some dumb, totally not creative thing in there that would like sidetrack us—but purposefully. It was this comedic approach that we were taking every day, where whatever the wheel told us to do, we’d do. It had these zany sound effects, but also created this weird vibe where we were like ‘We've just got to trust fate here.’ We're all obsessed with fate and letting things happen as they might, so the sound effect was an obvious thing for us to include—and then it took shape into a much larger concept.”
“What I really loved about the wheel concept,” adds Devin, “was it wasn't our choice. It was our choice to leave it to chance, yes, but we trusted the universe to point us in the right direction by spinning the wheel. It started off as a joke, but turned into this thing that became really important for us.”
Beyond the idea of fate and purpose, there are some other complex and deeply personal themes on this record. The yearning, tragedy-laced “carry on for you”—undoubtedly one of the saddest, most beautiful songs on the record—was written after Devin and Andrew lost their uncle to pancreatic cancer, while a number of the other songs detail Devin’s struggle with a condition called intracranial hypertension that’s caused as a result of too much fluid in the brain.
“It made me very familiar with the hospital,” says Devin. “I was hospitalized for months on end and that lasted for about two years of my life. So a lot of this record is about that. I don't deal with the chronic pain that I had from that anymore, and some would say the condition is in remission, but it's really hard for me to listen to some of these songs—truly—because there were a lot of moments writing this record where I didn't want to be alive. That's really hard for me to admit, because I'm not that person who talks about this stuff openly. I talk about it through our music—my traumas come out through my artistic expression. So listening to the record really gets emotional for me, because I'm not in the same place I once was. I'm super grateful to not be in all that pain.”
It all combines to make a record that’s as cerebral as it is visceral, as vulnerable as it is powerful, and as pure as anything I See Stars have made in their almost two-decade long career. After a long time in stasis, it’s clear to hear just how rejuvenated and refreshed they are, even as final track “Curtain Call” speeds off into the distance. That song is, as Devin calls it, “a wheel of emotion”, and ends with a question (well, two) repeated over and over again: ‘Will you ever love? Will you ever love me?’ “'Curtain Call' is tapping on every fucking thing we talked about on the whole record in one song,” says Devin. “It's almost like the wheel spinning in song form—it keeps turning round and is just racing through time and emotions. And the question we ask at the end of the song has a lot to do with the band. Will I ever be enough as an artist? Will the fans ever see us for everything we've put into this, which essentially at this point is our entire lives?”
Even just one listen to this record and it’s pretty clear that the answer to both those questions is a resounding yes.

With a shared love for the tradition of Renaissance and Folk-Rock music, legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and award-winning lyricist and singer Candice Night founded Blackmore’s Night in 1997. They have been enchanting audiences around the world eversince. Blackmore’s Night defines its music as Renaissance Folk-Rock - a unique and original genre of music inspired by the melodies and the tradition of the Renaissance period, translated into contemporary music. This is the timeless sound of Blackmore’s Night. And what a success it has been, since it all started…

What followed was a success story that is one of its kind. After hitting off the celebrations for their 25th anniversary with a fully remixed edition of their debut album “Shadow Of The Moon” in 2023, Candice and Ritchie continued the festivities with the worldwide release of an anniversary edition of their acclaimed 3rd studio album “Fires At Midnight” in 2024. Originally released in July 2001, “Fires At Midnight” entered the Official German Album Charts at #9 in 2001, making it Blackmore’s Night’s first record to hit the Top 10 Charts in Germany. The band’s latest studio album “Nature’s Light” brought Blackmore’s Night back to the German Top 10 (#7) and it has reinforced the relationship with the fanbase all over the world.
Meanwhile, their devoted fan base has been growing exponentially as the band continues performing their mystical music for all ages. From grandparents to children, everyone is enjoying their medieval mood music and gypsy dances. Clearly, the music of Blackmore’s Night connects with fans on a deep level, allowing them to experience an entirely different era of merriment. In the age of digital music, new fans discover Blackmore’s Night every single day; making the band possibly the most streamed artist of its genre. At the helm of this band, is award winning lyricist and vocalist, Candice Night, who not only contributes her unique, entrancing vocals, but deftly navigates seven medieval woodwinds, including chanters, shawms, pennywhistles and recorders. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and celebrated guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, who traverses between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, mandola and hurdy gurdy. Further enhancing the band’s inspired sound are keyboardist/back-up vocalist Bard David; violinist Scarlett Fiddler; back-up vocalist/rhythm guitar, Lady Jessie; bassist/rhythmic guitarist Earl Grey; and percussionist Troubadour of Aberdeen. With lyrics penned by Night, the collective embraces the aura of the old-world inn, from madrigals and ballads to good old-fashioned Renaissance-inspired pub songs.
Their sold-out concerts in castles and UNESCO sites worldwide are filled with thousands of fans dressed in Renaissance garb, dancing and singing as if time stood still. No clocks… no pressure… just the gaiety and camaraderie of a medieval pub. Everyone joins in and loses their stress in the music. The recent induction of Blackmore’s Night into the ‘Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame’ is yet another testament to their incredible artistry. In addition to her work with Blackmore’s Night, Candice Night released her deeply personal solo album “Sea Glass” in 2025. A collection of heartfelt songs inspired by life, love, and reflection, the album showcases her captivating vocals and intimate songwriting in a more contemporary setting. “Sea Glass” has already touched fans worldwide, offering yet another dimension of Candice’s artistry beyond the Renaissance-inspired world of Blackmore’s Night.
Last important note from Candice and Ritchie: “We feel very strongly about helping local no- kill animal shelters. So, wherever we play, we always invite a local animal shelter or animal rescue organization to set up a donation table at our concert.” Organizations attending the shows of the fall tour will be announced soon.

Creeper Share "Prey for the Night" Video
CREEPER's Sanguivore proved to be their most career-defining album to date, propelling them to their biggest headline show at the OVO Wembley Arena.
Their new album SANGUIVORE II: MISTRESS OF DEATH, which will be released on Halloween (October 31) goes deeper into that narrative. After enamoring devotees and newcomers alike with the double shot of tracks "Headstones" and "Blood Magick (It's A Ritual)," CREEPER continue to cast a spell of anticipation with the new single "Prey For The Night."
Watch it below.
Throwback darkwave synth stabs flail into the darkness as "Prey For The Night" gets underway, with William von Ghould's sinister baritone setting the scene. From there, it becomes a characteristically lavish and larger-than-life sound, blending classic '80s hard rock riffage, a searing Steinman-esque chorus, theatrical vocal interplay with keyboardist Hannah Greenwood, and a blast of saxophone. Even the title is possessed by a devilishly dark double meaning.
CREEPER's ambition is to always go bigger, grander and more unpredictable than before — and that's what they've achieved with SANGUIVORE II: MISTRESS OF DEATH. The story follows a British rock band immersed in the decadence of an American tour at the height of the Satanic Panic of the '80s. Yet each stop leaves fresh decay in the shape of a mysterious trail of deceased fans. The world is quick to lay blame at the bloodied hands of the band, but there's more to this story than is first apparent… enter the ruthless hunter, Mistress Of Death, who is on their trail with all axe and no mercy.
The album is bookended with narratives from, good friend of the band, Patricia Morrison (Sisters Of Mercy and The Damned). and the strings come courtesy of the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
CREEPER have raided the abyss to present a range of collectible curiosities for SANGUIVORE II: MISTRESS OF DEATH, which are available HERE.
Physical formats include blood red and full moon white vinyl formats, both of which will soon sell-out their limited edition runs — a SANGUIVORE double-bill cassette housed in an old school VHS case has already sold-out. New merch designs are just as imaginative, led by a "Mistress of Death" embroidered bomber jacket and a "SANGUIVORE 666" ice hockey shirt.

The Devil Wears Prada Share "Eyes" Video
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA — Mike Hranica [vocals], Jeremy DePoyster[guitar, clean vocals], Kyle Sipress [guitar], Jonathan Gering [keys, synths, programming, percussion], and Giuseppe Capolupo [drums] — will unleash their ninth album Flowers on November 14 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.
They share the video for "Eyes."
The video finds Prada as puppets navigating a maze. Watch and find out where the puppet master pulling the strings leads them.
"'Eyes' is about coming to a point in life where you start to question the reality of what you once believed," states Gering. "It captures the feeling of wanting to break away from something that has only worked against you and the struggle to find a new way to move forward."
DePoyster weighs in, saying, "'Eyes' is a song about desperately yearning for answers, wondering why you keep ending up in the same place without a clear path forward. When you're caught in a wave of anxiety and the things you've been taught are of little help, you're desperate for clarity and hope."
He finishes, "Sonically, this song is a journey, contrasting between tight melodic verses and fuzzed out riffs. It's an anthem for when you need the validation that no one has the answers. We're all just doing our best."
Flowers marks the start of an incredibly epic cycle and phase for the band. The global touring scheduling finds The Devil Wears Prada playing some of the biggest shows of their career. They just wrapped the Summer of Loud tour, which packed amphitheaters through the summer. Additionally, the single "For You" is the band's first-ever track to chart on both the Mediabase and Billboard Active Rock charts. TDWP are continuing to hit new milestones two decades into their career, proving their vitality as a career band.
The band also graces the Fall 2025 cover of Revolver. See the issue below. Get it here.
TDWP have a slew of international tour dates on deck, including dates in Australia with Bullet For My Valentine; headline shows in South Africa; and a trek across Europe with Ice Nine Kills and Creeper. The band will also appear at Warped Tour in Orlando on November 15-16. The band will also embark on the Emo's Not Dead Cruise in January, as well. All tour dates are here.
Defeated Sanity Release Punishing New Drum Playthrough
Having dedicated this year to leveling Europe and Latin America behind the sheer brutality of the band's latest Billboard-busting offering, Defeated Sanity are capping off 2025 with their first U.S. tour for Chronicles of Lunacy.
The long-standing innovators of brutal technical death metal are kicking off this mad-dash run with a special headlining show in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Defeated Sanity will then conjoin with their fellow lunatics in Corpse Pile, Despised Icon and Sanguisugabogg - who featured the band's vocalist Josh Welshman on their new single - for 22 dates covering both coasts. Along the way, Skinless, Bayway, Ringworm, Upon Stone and other guests will appear during select shows.
"We can't wait to finally present our new album Chronicles of Lunacy to our U.S. fans live and in action", Defeated Sanity says. "Be sure to join us as we brutalize the U.S. once again".
As they prepare to slam America with the critically-acclaimed Chronicles of Lunacy, today, Defeated Sanity are releasing a new drum playthrough for the album's most punishing song. "Condemned to Vascular Famine" will have heads banging, bodies flying and brains exploding when the band spills its bloodlust all over the stage.
"'Condemned to Vascular Famine' was voted by our fans as their favorite song off Chronicles of Lunacy, so we decided to open our set with it on the last tour", says Defeated Sanity's drummer, primary songwriter and co-founding member Lille Gruber. "'The song is a very epic and varied composition. It's quite funny to start out a big Euro fest with this weird drum beat, but we like to fuck with our audience, as everyone knows".
Watch Defeated Sanity drummer Lille Gruber crush "Condemned to Vascular Famine" below.

chokecherry Announce Debut Album "Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls" Out 11/14 + Band Shares "Major Threat" Video
chokecherry, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Izzie Clark and vocalist/bassist E. Scarlett Levinson, are thrilled to announce the November 14 release of their debut album Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls. Pre-order it here.
To celebrate this moment, chokecherry release the video for the angular new single "Major Threat."
While chokecherry are known for crafting lush soundscapes, "Major Threat," whose title nods to hardcore legends Minor Threat, is inherently punk rock and gritty, giving fans something they've not yet heard from the band. It's jarring — in the best possible way. The accompanying visual, shot on VHS and delivered in just a few days, demonstrates the important DIY spirit at chokecherry's core.
Watch the video, co-directed by Clark and Whitney Otte below.
"I grew up on heavy surf punk — hello, Southern California — and this track brings me back to 2016-era mosh pits at the Teragram Ballroom in L.A. or the Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara," Clark explains, tearing back the curtain and inviting the listener to fully immerse themself into the experience of the song. "Vocally, I was very inspired by Brendan Yates (Turnstile) and Zack de La Rocha (Rage Against the Machine). The inspiration for the track came from a (fleeting) feeling of being discarded. The accompanying video is co-directed and pokes fun at the hell that is the 21st century dating scene."
Levinson weights in, saying, "'Major Threat' is one of the few currently recorded chokecherry tracks that really allows listeners to dip their toes into our live energy. This includes mosh pits, screaming, and running into the crowd mid-song. It's a direct homage to the scenes that shaped us and continue to do so, calling on inspirations like Turnstile and Mannequin Pussy."
She continues, "Of course, the bridge is packed out with classic chokecherry harmonies and layers, and the track concludes with a last-minute twist. The final lyrics are a nod to the toxic cycle of craving something (or someone) that's rejecting you; it hurts like hell and drives you crazy, but in the end, getting left is probably for the best."
Pulling from essences of their childhoods exposed to rock 'n'roll, adolescent years spent exploring '90s post-rock, pop, indie, alt-rock, hardcore, queer musicians, even metal, and their own young adulthood filled with small shows in the Bay Area from a plethora of artists and genres, chokecherry's debut LP, produced by Chris Coady, Christopher Grant, and Zach Tuch, fearlessly pursues creating a snapshot in time, capturing the sonic culture of San Francisco, the political movements overflowing our senses in 2025, the social deterioration of empathy and humanity in the 21st century, and what it means to be human in a time where it feels like there are so few left. "The album isn't about heartbreak over an individual — some of it is — but it's from the state of the world. That's what it is. It's about heartbreak over the loss of childhood and the imagined future that you might have had when you were young, because that doesn't exist. It's actively been taken away from all of us and everything is being stripped before our very eyes, constantly, every single day," says Levinson.
Within 10 tracks, chokecherry piece together the very essence of what it means to be a sentient being in this cruel world, Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls is a dichotomy in its entirety; introspective and panoramic, tender and intense, personal and social, post-rock and shoegaze, but so is the duality of man. chokecherry encompass all that is severely lacking – empathetic humanity.
chokecherry will embark on their first ever full North American headline tour, with special guests The Sewing Club. The trek kicks off with a West Coast record release show weekend, celebrating Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls with special guests Pure Hex. The California release weekend includes a hometown San Francisco show, in addition to shows in Los Angeles and Santa Ana.
The tour runs through December 21 in Salt Lake City. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

Brooklyn music mavericks CLONE unleash post-punk / altrock thrills with new 'Care To Try' EP
Brooklyn alt rockers CLONE have released their new 'Care To Try' EP, a blazing three-track offering, as well as fine limited edition 2-track '7” vinyl release. Together, this is their second major release via Portland label Little Cloud Records, featuring cover photography by famed artist Simon Larbalestier, well known for his work with Pixies and 4AD Records.
Written over the past year with Clone's original lineup of LG Galleon (Dead Leaf Echo), Gregg Giufree (Pilot to Gunner), Max Idas and Dominick Turi, this EP was produced by LG Galleon and Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans, Brian Eno, John Zorn, Herbie Hancock, Iggy Pop, Helmet, Dresden Dolls) at his famed BC Studio (built together with Brian Eno), and mastered by Fred Kevorkian (The White Stripes, Sonic Youth, Juliana Hatfield, Regina Spektor, Lloyd Cole).
"These songs were again recorded with the legendary Martin Bisi, who helped bring the determination and drive in the studio to the forefront when recording these songs. A different lineup makes for a novel live experience every time, yet always with incendiary results. The full tour in October should prove a very fruitful experience and we are looking forward to playing these new songs from the EP live," says LG Galleon.
"The title track 'Care to Try' is a retribution song. A song that cries out for the disenfranchised and undersung people in the world whose voices are never heard above the drowning of the right wing nationalist leaders in this world. The spoken word bridge signals out to this issue with the line "with all charisma there is scorn, with every swoon another's heart will stammer slowly in submission. To Glimpse what could have been through the eyes of another."
Last year, Clone debuted their 'CL. 1' album and 12" vinyl LP, born from a seemingly lost wellspring of shared imagination and youthful transformative power, via Little Cloud and North Carolina's 5BC Records, previewed by the iconoclastic singles 'Immutable', 'Dividing Line' and 'Redeemer'.
A passionate attempt to revive the kind of music that once profoundly resonated with the isolated and vulnerable, Clone's music possesses a transformative power, capable of inspiring through its galvanizing, redemptive power. Drawing on the raw energy and boundless creativity of youth, Clone has created a personal sonic world that they now invite us all to experience.
As a live phenomenon, Clone currently includes LG Galleon, Paul Liziragga (Namesake), Alex Cox (The Veldt), and drummers Avery Brooks and Jeremy Duvall. The past few years. Clone has played SXSW and toured with Christian Death, Twin Tribes, Wand, La Witch, Live Skull and The Veldt.
The 'Care To Try' EP is out everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, and can also be had on '7” vinyl. Clone will be releasing a new full-length album in 2026.

LAINEY WILSON PERFORMS SOLD-OUT SHOW AT NASHVILLE’S BRIDGESTONE ARENA
On the heels of being named host of the 59th Annual CMA Awards, Lainey Wilson performed a sold-out show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena last night as part of her extensive Whirlwind World Tour.
Wilson will return to Bridgestone on November 19 for the CMA Awards ceremony, where she is tied as the most-nominated artist with six nominations: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Whirlwind), Single of the Year (“4x4xU”), Song of the Year (“4x4xU”) and Music Video of the Year (“Somewhere Over Laredo”).
The accolades are just the latest in a series of recent milestones for Wilson, who is highlighted on the 2025 TIME100 Next list, featured as the cover star of Southern Living’s November issue (read HERE) and confirmed to headline Stagecoach Festival this spring. Today, she also releases a new version of the holiday classic, “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,” with Bing Crosby—listen below.
Known for her electric live performances, Wilson will continue her Whirlwind World Tour through this fall including a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden next Friday, October 10, before embarking on an extensive headline run across Australia and New Zealand next year. See below for complete tour itinerary, full details can be found at www.laineywilson.com/tour.
Furthermore, Wilson released the deluxe version of her award-winning album, Whirlwind, earlier this summer via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville (stream/purchase HERE). In addition to Whirlwind’s original 14 songs, the new extended edition features five additional tracks: “Bell Bottoms Up,” “King Ranch, King George, King James,” “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day,” “Peace, Love, and Cowboys” and “Somewhere Over Laredo,” which is currently Top 10 at country radio and continuing to climb.
Released to overwhelming attention from fans and critics alike, “Somewhere Over Laredo” was the most added song at country radio at impact and earned widespread praise from outlets such as CBS Mornings, Rolling Stone and Billboard, who called it “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.”
“The reigning current standard-bearer for women in country” (Variety), Wilson also won four awards at the 60th ACM Awards this past spring—Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind) and Artist-Songwriter of the Year—performed during last year’s Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show and won two awards at the 58th CMA Awards, where she made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. Wilson also recently launched her fourth collection with Wrangler, as well as her own boot (Golden West Boots) and jewelry lines (The Lainey Wilson Jewelry Collection).
The 16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winner and Grand Ole Opry member is a prolific, sought-after songwriter who has scored eight #1 hits including “4x4xU,” “Wildflowers And Wild Horses,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x PLATINUM Certified “Heart Like A Truck,” in addition to award-winning collaborations with Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”) and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). Moreover, Wilson wrote and recorded “Out of Oklahoma” for the Twisters movie and has collaborated with artists such as Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Post Malone and more. She will also make her feature film acting debut in next year’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, after first acting in Paramount’s hit television series, “Yellowstone.”

‘California Cowgirl’ Annie Bosko Delivers Debut Album
Annie Bosko’s roots run deep. Her grandfather and father worked the fields from sunup to sundown as she and her siblings spent their days husking corn in the California sun to a steady soundtrack of George Strait and Patsy Cline, while her mother introduced her to the soaring harmonies of the Judds, Deana Carter, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride and Shania Twain.
All of this echoes across California Cowgirl, her debut album of 80s/90s country explosion of shuffles, sweeping ballads and girl-powered anthems. Available now via QHMG/Stone Country Records, listen to California Cowgirl Below.
Supplementing her own production work with Tommy Simms (Eric Clapton’s GRAMMY- winning “Change the World”) and Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Green Day, P!nk), Trent Willmon and David ‘Messy’ Mescon brought California Cowgirlinto a solid country focus.
“Trent really helped build the foundation and recognized how traditional country I wanted to lean – he really supported that,” Bosko says of the man who produced Cody Johnson’s CMA Album of the Year Leather.
“With ‘Messy,’ it was taking that, but getting a little outside the box,” she adds. “He was experimental with the idea of mariachi horns and recognized why that was important to me. Because everyone knows ‘Ring of Fire,’ but ‘9 To 5’ wouldn’t be the song it was without the horns, either. So, he gave things a little twist to keep my old school country fresh.”
What emerges is a sound that’s so throwback, but so forward, it does feel fresh, as well as live and triumphant in the moment. Whether it’s her “Bright and Blue Sky,” a Haggard-esque love song wrapped in strings and steel guitar, or the plucky “Cowboy Up,” which spins the catchphrase into a good-natured get it together, these are ride-or-die songs for life’s unseen defining moments.
“The music doesn’t necessarily sound sad, but there’s vulnerability to some of the songs,” acknowledges Bosko. “I wanted to get back to real honesty, that tenderness and toughness that are the people listening to country. You can have the sass, the honky tonk, the fun stuff, but it’s also in the broken and the resilience, because those rings of emotion are all inside a woman.”
The project also features standout collaborations with Dwight Yoakam on “Heartburn” and Joe Nichols on their top 40 duet “Better Than You,” as well as “Old Friends” with Darius Rucker.
“That idea that you can’t make old friends is so true. I think about the people who knew me back when I’d show up at kids’ birthday parties singing ‘Part of Your World’ as the Little Mermaid,” Bosko confesses. “They know you better than anyone – and no matter how much time has passed, it's like you never missed a beat. That’s a rare friendship.
“And having Darius on this song makes it even more special; he’s been there for so many people through so many seasons, and he really sounds like what this song is about.”
From “Watch Me,” the back roads opening “hold my beer” anthem, and the stout Brooks & Dunn-evoking “Honky Tonk Heartbeat” to the playful, Mexican horn section and güiro punctuated “Tequila Time” and title track’s steel-drenched declaration of who she is, Bosko offers a 360 degree sense of what modern country can be, as well as defining a woman’s place in the notoriously macho genre.
Indeed, “Country Girls! (Who Runs The World)” is a stomping song written as much from need as celebration.
“I grew up going to rodeo events and I’ve sung at a lot of them,” explains Bosko. “There are girls out there with just as much grit, just as tough, and I asked myself, ‘Where’s the song for these girls?’ There wasn’t. So I wanted to write a girl hype song, something that calls out for them! This is one for the girls, by a girl.”
With a cover of Kris Kristofferson’s “Help Me Make It Through The Night,” which has garnered over 1 million streams on Pandora, she honors her roots.
“Every time I hear this, I’m in the passenger seat of my dad's truck, it transports me back to those fields,” she reveals “I can see it flying by, all that great classic country music he would play when I was a kid. Before I knew what any of it meant, I could hear the emotion.
“And it was like that with Shania, all the layers and truth – she got that from Dolly. They’re all country. They’re all real. That’s what I want.”
Bosko will hold her album release party tonight, October 3, at Desert 5 Spot in Los Angeles, followed by performances at Nashville’s Whiskey Jam on October 9 and Four Peaks Oktoberfest on October 10.

About Annie Bosko
Raised in California’s Central Valley as a farmer’s daughter, Annie Bosko blends the grit of her roots with the firepower of her influences—including The Judds, Shania Twain, Deana Carter, and George Strait—on her debut album California Cowgirl, available now via QHMG/Stone Country Records. The 19-song collection, featuring collaborations with Darius Rucker, Dwight Yoakam and Joe Nichols, brings traditional country instrumentation into sharp focus while celebrating female strength, vulnerability and joy. Bosko first broke out with the SiriusXM/CMT favorite “Crooked Halo” and was named a Rolling Stone Country Artist to Watch, later making her late-night debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with “Neon Baby,” which marked her first charting single at Country radio. She has written songs recorded by Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson, toured with Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton, and sold out Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour.

SIENA ROOT - Double Live Album 'Made in KuBa Out Now
“Dynamic Root Rock Experience” is still the best term to describe SIENA ROOT’s music, and that's also exactly what the Swedish quartet’s new double live album Made in KuBa is all about. Named after the location of its creation, Jena, Germany’s Kulturbahnhof (short form: KuBa), the follow-up to the band’s previous, highly-acclaimed live document Root Jam (2011) takes off where its predecessor left off in many ways. Made in KuBa is out now via Perception – a Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.
Recorded during three intimate concert nights in March 2024, the result is, of course, an all-analogue recording which continues the traditional way of capturing the audiophile band’s art. Where many artists would hesitate to bring a full-on tape recorder to a live event, it’s totally given for SIENA ROOT to do so in a no-compromise fashion. Made in KuBa isn’t only another live album but a comprehensive experience in its purest form: no overdubs were added and no tricks were used in the studio afterwards. Once again, the songs you can hear are strictly what’s played and bring the energy all the way from the stage to the speakers of the Swede’s fans. The outfit’s much-loved jams are there, lots of improvisation as well as the whole spectra from light to shade, and to ensure the all-analogue quality control, sound engineer Ove Noring, who’s been working with the band all the way since 2006’s Kaleidoscope, was brought in as tape operator to record SIENA ROOT’s shows at the iconic KuBa venue.
So what’s new? In order to make Made In KuBa no simple repetition of their Root Jam concept though, SIENA ROOT went for a bunch of refreshing ideas with the first one being the scenery. As mentioned, the band travelled all the way to Jena this time, where they found the perfect surroundings at Kulturbahnhof. “We couldn’t have been happier: KuBa was exactly the place to be after we had experienced countless memorable concerts there throughout the years,” they recall. While the musical spine of SIENA ROOT is a quartet -- consisting of long-time and founding members Sam Riffer (bass) and Love Forsberg (drums & percussion), completed by Zubaida Solid (vocals & keys) and Johan Borgström (guitars), who both joined their ranks after the release of Root Jam -- they were also supported by two talented guests for a number of songs to make this special occasion more unique: long-time brother in arms Erik Peterson (keys) and Lisa Isaksson (flute). Additionally, the forthcoming opus consists of songs from the group’s entire catalogue which aren’t featured songs on Root Jam at all, and to thank their loyal fans, SIENA ROOT even involved them in creating the set list. They add: “We knew that not each and every fan from around the world would be able to witness these historic nights, that’s why we decided to have them included by influencing the Made In KuBa track listing.”
In the end, Made In KuBa includes twelve wisely picked tracks which can be enjoyed from October 3, 2025 - brought to the world through PERCEPTION. And it’ll be available in various formats: CD, digital, and - most importantly - vinyl. A version which has always been a crucial factor throughout SIENA ROOT’s career, who even pressed their 2004 debut album A New Day Dawning on the ‘black gold’ when the returning vinyl boom was still in the distant future. The band prefer the traditional way of listening and therefore took extra-care of its execution. Mastered at half-speed, SIENA ROOT technically reflect on the old days in this case. They conclude: “Half-speed mastering’ is a trick of the past that the vinyl junkies out there should be familiar with. It’s just a very delicate yet complicated process of cutting that makes “Made In KuBa” an even more three-dimensional listening pleasure for both you and us!” Enough said: now it's the world's turn to enjoy and to catch the group live during their supporting “Double Live Release Tour” across Europe in October 2025, if you like what you hear!

Avatar Show Their "Death And Glitz" in New Video
The heavy metal visionaries collectively known as AVATAR — vocalist Johannes Eckerström, guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin, and drummer John Alfredsson — previously announced the thoroughly fitting October 31 release of their latest masterwork Don't Go in the Forest. Pre-save it here.
Today, the band shares the visuazlier for the new single "Death And Glitz." Watch it below.
Eckerström states, ":Death and Glitz' is a song about perversion and detachment. A homeless, young runaway collapses and dies on a dancefloor. The crime scene tape becomes a red velvet rope. The investigator's camera flashes like paparazzi on the red carpet. We love her for dying. Now, she's perfect. Obedient. Anything you want."
He continues. "The true crime genre is as sick as the sickest goregrind band you've ever heard. Its popularity and the form in which it's being consumed, as a choice between Mickey Mouse and hospital dramas, reveals a darkness. The best ones are when it's someone young and attractive. A couple goes hiking. Only the man returns. What do we project on this very real person's very real tragedy? Do we see ourselves, with a strange envy for being so desired? Do we see a canvas on which we can paint the perfect future, if we were there to make it right? Do we completely dehumanize the victim and those who lost her, obsessed with the puzzle? No matter the reason, it is clear that no one is more obedient than the dead. People simply like it when death has a nice rack."
Regarding the album, Eckerström offers, "The secret ingredient is that we still feel like we're just getting started. Don't Go In The Forest is an album filled to the brim with stuff we've never done before. It's all songs and concepts we haven't been close to touch until now. The mind is wild and we have lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that must be spoken."
He concludes, "It would have been impossible to make this album at any other time than now. That's all we ever wanted, and I think you'll find it's all you ever wanted too."
Avatar have gone from strength to strength over the past several years. There's the critically acclaimed, 2023-released album Dance Devil Dance, which included their first #1 at Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay, "The Dirt I'm Buried In." There have been scores of sold-out headline shows across the globe, and an actual fossil named after them. The list goes on and on.
But the past is the past and the future is, well, dark in the best possible way and that's JUST how Avatar like it!
Avatar will spend the foreseeable future (if not forever) on the road — with forthcoming tours supporting Iron Maiden and Metallica, along with the band's biggest show EVER in Mexico City. See below for a complete rundown of the band's planned tour activity for the next two years.
Avatar show no signs of pausing to take a breath in their quest for absolute world domination — much less stopping.

San Francisco's OCTAVIAN WINTERS unleash dark and primal 'Saints of Absolution'
San Francisco post-punk outfit Octavian Winters presents 'Saints Of Absolution', a dark and rich teaser of their debut album, out in early 2026 via Stratis Capta Records. Marrying their hallmark ethereal sound with a classic death rock vibe, this dark and primal offering follows the lead track 'Hermine'. Both singles accompanied by short films by Bay Area producer David Kruschke.
Guitarist Stephan Salit (Thrill of The Pull) channels his Eastern roots with a guitar motif that circles like a hypnotic dance, over a tribal groove by bassist Jay Denton and drummer Randy Gzebb (Thrill of The Pull, Love Club), which undulates below. Mesmerizing vocals by Ria Aursjoen (AURSJOEN) enter like temple incense wafting atop of the music - sinister and confessional, before building to a wild visceral delivery as the song builds to its intense ending.
"This song 'Saints of Absolution' is about false idols, on two levels. The broader level, and the one we most often think of when we think of the idea of false idols, is about people attaching to negative ideologies that subvert our better natures, and the toxic swamp that lies down that path. The other level is the individual, and the poison of envy, hatred and spreading gossip behind others' backs -- often serious lies that can be very damaging to people's lives," says Ria Aursjoen.
"This world is full of enough horror without adding to it; although the lyrics are a little darker than my usual style, the intent is to make people think, to urge us all to not lose sight of our common humanity."
'Saints of Absolution' was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by the iconic William Faith (The Bellwether Syndicate, Faith & the Muse, Christian Death) at 13 Studio in Chicago.
"This is another one that I originally intended to go one way, but then went another. I had the two main themes with the dissonance I desired when William made a suggestion that turned into the break that Ria takes flight over! What a glorious din," says guitarist Stephan Salit.
Drummer Randy Gzebb adds, "I've always been drawn to playing tom grooves that give the song a darker more primal feel".
Formed in 2022, Octavian Winters profess a visceral ethereal sound with haunting textures, channeling half-remembered stories from an indifferent metropolis and lunar energy. This newest single confirms the band's well-earned reputation for weaving multiple stylistic influences together into a sonic tapestry that is altogether unique and identifiably their own.
Now critically acclaimed, the band gained a solid reputation with their 2023 debut EP 'The Line or Curve', and 2024's 'Nebula / Velveteen' collaboration with Mark Pistel (Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto), their tightly crafted songs running the gamut from the ethereal to the dark and driving. This new offering, 'Hermine', visits those harder edges.
Following their recent appearance at A Murder of Crows Festival in New York, West coast fans will now be treated to their performance at Bar Sinister in Los Angeles on October 31 for their legendary Ghostly Halloween Ball.
'Saints of Absolution' is out now, available everywhere digitally, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. Tickets for their L.A. show can be ordered at https://octavianwinters.com/shows
