PARADISE LOST RELEASES MONOLITHIC NEW ALBUM 'ASCENSION'

Icons of melancholic doom and gothic metal, PARADISE LOST have released their long awaited 17th album, Ascension, today with Nuclear Blast Records.

PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by the band’s revered guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackroryand is adorned with artwork by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts’ classic painting The Court of Death (1870-1902). Their latest, critically lauded masterpiece is evidence of a band still at the height of their prime 35+ years into a groundbreaking career. Soaked in misery and grief, Ascension soars with song’s like ‘Tyrants Serenade,’ ‘Serpent on the Cross’ and ‘Silence Like The Grave,’ that take listeners on an unforgettable journey through morose despair forged in soundscape of massive riffs and searing solos.

Commenting on the record’s release, vocalist Nick Holmes states:

"It took us nearly 40 years to get here but we're still tuning our instruments to the key of despair! Please enjoy!"

Today, PARADISE LOST has revealed a lyric video for their next highlighted track, ‘Lay A Wreath Upon The World.’

Adding about the song, Holmes says:

"Lay a wreath upon the world serves as a harbinger of the impending tempest, where humanity will eventually obliterate all that it has created."

About PARADISE LOST:

More than three decades into their career, and with over two million albums sold, PARADISE LOST remain the undisputed kings of metal’s dark side. Formed in Halifax in 1988, the band quickly became noted as the pioneers of gothic metal through their early groundbreaking albums like 1991’s aptly-titled Gothic, a mixture of heaviness intertwined with shadowy melody and atmosphere.

Never a group to remain creatively static, across their career they’ve explored a myriad of avenues of dark music, from sludgy doom-death roots, to conquering the metal mainstream with the enormous, lush sounds of 1995’s Draconian Times, to more experimental, electronic leanings, leaving an influence on a trail of artists as varied as CRADLE OF FILTH, HIM, GATECREEPER and CHELSEA WOLFE.

Now, in 2025, the Yorkshire quintet return with their staggering 17th album, Ascension, a record that sees their crown continue to gleam as it underlines just how they attained their position. Produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh at Black Planet studios in East Yorkshire, with drums and vocals captured at NBS and Wasteland studios in Sweden, its 10 tracks traverse the multitude of sounds in the band’s arsenal, from full-bore heavy metal to sky-high melody, all the while keeping a minor-key melancholy that remains irresistible.

DEVORA Releases New Single "Cocaine Karaoke"

Outlaw pop trailblazer DEVORA has released her brand-new single “Cocaine Karaoke” alongside a visualizer, available now on all platforms.

“I wrote ‘Cocaine Karaoke’ in Nashville with Johnny Gates and Austin Luther, and it came out of one of the most unhinged relationships I’ve ever been in,” DEVORA shares. “I was dating this guy who was living a double life; completely full of shit, always coked up, making these wild promises that never meant anything. It almost became a running joke how insane his lies got, like I was just buying into this karaoke version of reality he was selling me. Fed up and spun out on emotional whiplash, I put it all into this song."

She adds, "His lies started to feel like karaoke: loud, performative, and not real. He’d promise me the world, but it was all just a drug-fueled performance—cocaine karaoke. All noise and no substance. This song is me calling it out for what it was and closing that chapter for good.”

Eric Church’s ‘Free The Machine Tour’ is Underway

Eric Church kicked off his 2025 Free The Machine Tour with stops in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday (Sept. 12) and Columbus, Ohio on Saturday (Sept. 13), bringing critically acclaimed eight-song Evangeline vs. The Machine, rounded out with performances of his biggest hits, to the northeast in his first of 22 arena shows this year.

With a chorus of backup singers in tow, Church belted out his 27-song setlist on opening night to an enthusiastic crowd, noting, “You don’t just pick any city to start your tour… We’ve done some damage together over the years.”

After rolling through all eight songs of Evangeline vs. The Machine consecutively, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette remarked, “Tom Waits would have been stunned watching it climax with an arena country crowd clapping to his ‘Clap Hands’ while the band made a stomping clatter.”

Church then delved deeper into his catalog, singing Platinum and multi Platinum-certified hits including “Desperate Man,” “Smoke A Little Smoke,” “Drink In My Hand” and more, while also hitting deep cuts and Church Choir favorites, “Knives of New Orleans” and “Through My Ray-Bans.”

Prior to playing his 8x-Platinum No. 1 hit “Springsteen” midway through his set – instead of saving it for the end of show like usual – Church jokingly recalled his early touring days, when he was opening for Kenny Chesney following the release of his 2011 album Chief. “I walk out there, and I’m full of myself… we just had this big Chief album, and I said, ‘You know what I’m going to start with? I’m going to start with ‘Springsteen,’’ he shared. “It was the biggest hit we had, and I remember, I was talking to Chesney pre-show, and he goes, ‘What are you opening with tonight?’ And I said, ‘Springsteen.’ And he goes, ‘Hahaha, seriously? Are you nuts?’ Yes. Certifiable.”

Free The Machine Tour continues this week with stops in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts and Brooklyn, New York with Elle King. Tickets to remaining shows are available at EricChurch.com.

About Eric Church
A seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including 2020’s Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee – including three nods for Best Country Album, Eric Church has built a passionate fan base through his critically acclaimed catalog of music. Church’s October 2024 release, “Darkest Hour,” saw the superstar signing over all of his publishing royalties to the people of North Carolina to provide immediate relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene while also providing ongoing funds to support a more resilient future for his home state. The song is featured alongside current single “Hands Of Time” on his recently released album, Evangeline vs. The Machine, marking his first new music since 2021’s Heart & Soul triple album (“Stick That In Your Country Song,” “Hell Of A View”). That project followed prior releases including RIAA Gold-certified Desperate Man (“Some Of It,” “Desperate Man”), Platinum-certified Sinners Like Me (“How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me”), Carolina (“Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most”) and Mr. Misunderstood (“Record Year,” “Round Here Buzz”), Double-Platinum certified The Outsiders (“Like a Wrecking Ball,” “Talladega”) and 4x Platinum-certified Chief (“Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand”), as well as 32 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified songs. Church is also a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, a co-owner of the iconic Field & Stream brand, has his own SiriusXM music channel, “Eric Church Outsiders Radio,” his own liquor offering, Whiskey JYPSI, and recently celebrated the first anniversary Chief’s, his six-story venue on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway.

When we played it on that tour in 2023 it really got the crowd moving every night so we are stoked that we finally have it out for the world to bang their heads to. RICK WAKEMAN & SON An All New Show Rick Wakeman Featuring Special Guest Oliver Wakeman Performing a limited run of shows in March 2026

RICK WAKEMAN CBE is pleased to announce his rescheduled US tour dates for 2026. Following the postponement of his July 2025 concerts with vocalist Hayley Sanderson due to Rick’s impending surgery, existing commitments mean that sadly, Hayley is no longer available to join him on the road, but instead, he will be touring for the first time ever with his son, Oliver. Although they have occasionally performed together in the past, this will be the first opportunity to see the pair in their brand new WAKEMAN & SON show.

Both former keyboard players with YES and the Strawbs, as well as being highly successful, award-winning musicians in their own right, WAKEMAN & SON will be performing music which ranges from their joint musical heritage to their latest recordings.

Already one of the most in-demand session players of his generation before joining YES, after leaving the band, Rick became renowned for his prog rock extravaganzas, such as Journey To The Centre Of The Earth and The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table, as well his numerous tours with both his band, the English Rock Ensemble, and as a solo pianist.

Oliver’s solo career encompasses several critically acclaimed solo albums, collaborations with highly regarded musicians like Clive Nolan (Pendragon/Arena), Steve Howe (YES/Asia) and Gordon Giltrap, a series of poetry CD’s which featured Shakespearean actor Derek Jacobi, and a variety of art and music projects with fantasy artist Rodney Matthews.

While father and son have performed on the same stage in the past – most notably, at a performance of The Myths And Legends of King Arthur… at London’s O2 Arena, they have never toured together before.

“It’s always an honour for me to share the stage with one of my wonderful children,” says Rick, “and for the first time, it’s a thrill to be actually doing a tour with my eldest son Oliver. I know it will be very special – especially if, on the odd occasion, he buys me dinner!!”

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see two legendary keyboard players in concert together!

Future Palace Sign With Century Media + Share Video for New Song "Cyclone"

Germany's FUTURE PALACE are making major moves to catapult their already promising career to the next level. The German band is  thrilled to announce that it has signed with Century Media worldwide.

To celebrate the partnership, they have shared the video for the new single "Cyclone."

Watch it below

This is the first taste of new music since last year's DISTORTION, which arrived in September 2024.

"Cyclone" is about the war that often wages within oneself, with the band saying, "It's about how an old version of yourself kept fighting you, especially referring to depression and how draining it can be to avoid turning back into that old version and trying to represent some sort of rebirth of yourself, focusing on the self-conflict. A cyclone tries to rip you apart and invade your peace and can be almost impossible to fight against."

The themes of mental health, growing and healing, distancing yourself from past versions of yourself have long been a part of Future Palace's music and that continues with "Cyclone." The song's energy effectively mirrors the effort it takes to prevent yourself from reverting to the old you that you would like to leave behind.

The band shares, "We used a sample with the word 'amen,' which started just as an and was later interpreted by as a sign of rebirth — amen and goodbye to your old self.”

It also boasts the most monstrous breakdown the band has ever put to tape.

Future Palace are also embarking on their first-ever tour of North America this fall. All dates are below.

FUTURE PALACE ON TOUR:

9/26 — Pittsburgh, PA — Preserving Underground

We Came As Romans + Currents Release Reimagined Version Of “Bad Luck” Feat. Anthony Notarmaso (After The Burial)

Just weeks after wrapping their triumphant Bad Luck U.S. headline tour, metalcore mainstays We Came As Romans have unveiled a reimagined version of single bad luck, this time joined by tourmates Currents and Anthony Notarmaso of After The Burial—two of the standout support acts from the tour’s powerhouse lineup. Stream We Came As Romans & Currents - bad luck feat Anthony Notarmaso HERE and watch the visualizer Below.

Originally released as the lead single from All Is Beautiful…Because We’re DoomedWe Came As Romans’ most thematically ambitious and emotionally honest record to date—bad luck quickly became a cornerstone of the album’s reflection on grief, transformation, and survival. Stream the album now HERE. The reimagined version brings new weight and perspective, layering in Brian Wille’s commanding vocals and Anthony Notarmaso’s unmistakable intensity. What began as a personal reckoning now expands, bridging three of the scene’s most respected forces into a single moment of cathartic heaviness.

We were fans of We Came As Romans and After The Burial long before having the pleasure of touring with them and making some life-long memories together,” shares Brian Wille of Currents. “It was a great time getting to collaborate on this new version of bad luck and we’re very excited to share it with all of you!”

I’m very flattered and honored that the WCAR boys wanted to include me on such an awesome track,” adds Anthony Notarmaso of After The Burial. “I still have the song stuck in my head!

The release follows We Came As Romans’ sold-out U.S. tour run and arrives ahead of their upcoming fall headline tour across Europe and the UK with Brand Of Sacrifice and Heavensgate, as well as appearances at major US festivals Louder Than Life and When We Were Young Fest.

ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis, spacey electronics, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still—effortlessly moving between metal, alternative, metalcore, and rock.

The Michigan-born five-piece—Dave Stephens, Joshua Moore, Lou Cotton, Andy Glass, and David Puckett—first broke through with Tracing Back Roots (2013), which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 and hit #1 on both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their self-titled 2015 album followed, debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200, cementing their status as modern metalcore royalty.

Following the tragic loss of original vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018, the band has continued to honor his legacy with their 2022 album, Darkbloom, their highest-praised record to date. Kerrang! awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it "a carrier for a knot of emotion, and a tribute to their friend." It featured career-defining tracks like "Black Hole" (ft. Caleb Shomo), now over 102 million Spotify streams, and "Daggers" (ft. Zero 9:36), which surpassed 32 million streams. Media outlets including Loudwire and Consequence praised the album for its emotional range, sonic heft, and unapologetic vulnerability.

Now, with 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED,' the band enters their most ambitious chapter yet—scarred, sharpened, and more fearless than ever.

The Intemperate Sons Release Single "Saturday Is Always Hard" + Music Video via FRAME|WORK

Alt-Rockers, The Intemperate Sons, have released the third track, "Saturday Is Always Hard," from their upcoming third studio album, Ephemera, set for release in winter 2025.

“Saturday Is Always Hard” is a departure from some of the heavier tracks listeners have become accustomed to.  The song is a reflective journey of knowing you’re losing someone and the thoughts that clutter your mind waiting for that day.  The Intemperate Sons venture slightly into more heavier pop territory with this track using haunting keys and dark, yet jazzy guitar tone.  It’s the kind of song that sticks with you, perfect for anyone who loves music that feels real and hits deep.

Stream/Download "Saturday Is Always Hard":

https://linktr.ee/theintemperatesons

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. All Intemperate Sons’ tracks are mixed by Amir Derakh at Synthicidein Long Beach, CA.  All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K.

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.

This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. Mark, the groove-obsessed bassist, ties it all together.

The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man”that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.

For fans of alternative rock, this band is a throwback and a revelation—a reminder of why you fell in love with the genre’s raw honesty and a promise that its spirit still burns. The Intemperate Sons aren’t chasing trends; they’re carving their own path, one riff, one lyric, one night at a time.performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style which has a retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

From Fall To Spring Unleash A New Single

With "CHASING THE HIGH," FROM FALL TO SPRING are releasing their most emotional and powerful track to date. The single showcases the full range of the band's songwriting: from atmospheric depth to explosive energy. Driven by a haunting topline, cinematic tension and a chorus that instantly sticks, the song balances vulnerability and power in a way only this band can.

Just two weeks before the release of their new album ENTRY WOUNDS, "CHASING THE HIGH" sets the emotional tone. It marks the moment of impact, triggering everything that follows. A deep inner wound, a loss that can’t be undone, a feeling that something is broken and might never return.

Despite the weight of its message, the song is accessible and full of reach. The melodies hit hard and stay. The production is massive, but never overwhelming. It's a modern heavy anthem that still sounds unmistakably like FROM FALL TO SPRING – intense, dynamic, and honest.

With this single, the band once again proves their ability to combine heavy music with emotional clarity and real songwriting instincts.

"CHASING THE HIGH" is more than just a song. It’s the start of the fall.

From Fall to Spring states. "'CHASING THE HIGH'  is our emotional crash in song form. It explores the addiction to something that’s breaking you — but you still can't let it go. Escaping a toxic spiral is hard… whether it's love or your own mind. And sometimes, all that's left is a scar to remind you it was real."

TESTAMENT | RELEASE ANIMATED VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE, 'SHADOW PEOPLE'

Bay Area thrash metal icons TESTAMENT returns this Fall with their fourteenth studio album, Para Bellum, which will be released on October 10th via Nuclear Blast Records. The album stands as both a battle cry and an observation of humanity's uneasy alliance with its own creations. As technology accelerates and disconnection grows, Para Bellum sees TESTAMENTreflecting the modern chaos through music that’s urgent, sharp, and unflinchingly human.

The band's latest single, 'Shadow People,' is a haunting and groovy track that will have you looking over your shoulder. It creates a vivid sense of unease and dread - both lyrically and musically - as if something from the unknown is coming for you. Watch the animated video created by Freakshot Films, below.

The band once again enlisted Eliran Kantor tocreate the album artwork. In an era flooded by AI-generated imagery. the hand painted creation encapsulates the album’s essence: a serene angel made of missiles, an explosion turned halo, surrounded by shovel-bearing cultists with books strapped to their faces.

From first note to last breath, Para Bellum is an album by warriors—crafted in chaos, and built to outlast the wars to come!

DESPISED ICON | RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE 'DEATH OF AN ARTIST'

Canadian deathcore pioneers DESPISED ICON return with their seventh full-length album, Shadow Work which will be released on October 31, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. Their first new music in six years, the album stands as the band's most fine-tuned and dynamic effort to date, balancing relentless speed, crushing grooves, and morbid melodies, while remaining true to their signature blend of extreme death metal and hardcore grit.

Driven by DESPISED ICON's trademark fusion of explosive blast beats and crushing breakdowns, 'Death of an Artist' is a merciless journey through the psychological turmoil of self-doubt, ego death, and rebirth. Defined by raw intensity and unyielding resolve, the lyrics follow a powerful journey of transformation: an artist confronts fading dreams and broken promises before emerging stronger through ruin and redemption. Watch the music video directed by Jessy Fuchs, below.

DESPISED ICON's Alex Erian comments, "We promised a rollercoaster with this record, and it’s time to deliver. Where “Over My Dead Body” leaned into crushing grooves and dissonance, 'Death Of An Artist' pushes the pedal down with pure speed and technicality. This one is not only my favorite track on the album, it’s also the most personal. You can hear the echoes of the classic Death Metal bands that shaped us running through some of these riffs. We’re just getting started. Thanks for listening."

Stream 'Death Of An Artist': https://despisedicon.bfan.link/death-of-an-artist

Shadow Work is now available for pre-order in the following formats:

  • CD Jewelcase

  • Gold & Black Corona Vinyl

Shadow Work was produced by the band’s own Alex Erian and Eric Jarrin, while Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, SHADOW OF INTENT, SIGNS OF THE SWARM) handled mixing and mastering. The album marks a significant chapter for a band whose core lineup has remained largely unchanged since its inception. It’s a deeply introspective record that reflects both personal growth and the turbulence of the world around us. The artwork for the album was created by Eliran Kantor (HATEBREED, THY ART IS MURDER, CAVALERA).

Earlier this week, DESPISED ICON announced they would join headliner's SANGUISUGABOGG on their U.S. tour. Joining the package as support are DEFEATED SANITY, and CORPSE PILE. Prior to the 22-date trek, the band will make appearances at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Mudvayne Drop ANOTHER New Track With "Sticks and Stones"

It's feast or famine!

A mere two weeks ago, '00s hard rock provocateurs MUDVAYNE — Chad Gray[vocals], Greg Tribbett [guitar], Ryan Martinie [drums], and Matthew McDonough [drums] — thrilled fans by dropping  their first new single in 16 years with "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" via Alchemy Recordings. The song has already accumulated over half a millions streams and counting. Watch the visualizer and listen to the song here.

The band has shared ANOTHER new track. This time, they've issued "Sticks and Stones." Watch and listen via the visualizer here. The official music video is forthcoming.

While "HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE" immediately clamped down on the jugular and was a primal scream return for the band, "Sticks and Stones" is a bit more measured in its ferocity. It showcases the band's mastery of quiet-loud dynamics and steadily escalates to an utterly monstrous breakdown.

"I was always told 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,'" says Gray. "Well, it's a great nursery rhyme, but I couldn't disagree more. I've carried a lot of words throughout my life as if they were just spoken to me. The reality is — they do hurt. I've tried my best to shed them, but when they come from dear friends, family — people that are suppose to love you — the words have teeth and they won't let go. Blood doesn't wash out; iit stains. I think I'm just trying to remind people to love their children. Don't use them as a bullet to fire into your ex or whomever you're with now. They're innocent and they are impressionable. And trust me, as a child, that was used as a weapon, your words will hurt them...long after you say them."

The band has also launched a pre-order for a double A Side 7" vinyl featuring both songs. There will be a standard version, as well as a variant that is signed and limited to 500 units. Both are available exclusively through the band's webstorealongside a brand new merch capsule. Go here to get yours.

Additionally, there will be a variant available exclusively through Revolver.

Mudvayne are looking towards their future as they also celebrate their impactful past. The song arrives on the eve of the band's L.D. 50 25th Anniversary headline tour, which kicks off today, September 11, and runs through October 26. L.D. 50was the band's debut studio album, arriving in August 2000 via Epic Records and established the band as a new yet major player in the hard rock scene. It eventually went on to achieve a Gold certification. Years after its release, both Revolver and Metal Hammer deemed the album an essential of the '00s metal class, rightfully so. The tour will feature support from Static-X, while Vended will open. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

LORNA SHORE’s New Album “I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me” Out Today

Lorna Shore’s first new album in three years, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, is out today via Century Media Records, alongside a highly emotional new music video for “Glenwood.” It visually captures the song’s overarching narrative: Vocalist/lyricist Will Ramos’ personal journey to reconnect with his estranged father. See the gripping music video, directed by Dylan Hryciuk, Below.

Ramos says of the new track, “This song has been a very long-time coming for me. In my teens, my father and I never had a great relationship. We’ve had countless fallouts and it got to the point where we hadn’t spoken to each other in many, many years. I’d written songs in my teens and early 20s about him and my frustration but nothing really helped fill the hole I felt inside. There were just too many mixed emotions. As time went on, I came to realize that, despite my anger, all I ever really wanted was to go back to the home I grew up in. For that reason, I decided to knock on his door and try one more time to get in touch with him.”

He adds, “‘Glenwood Ave’ was the name of the street I grew up on. I remember my father always telling me, ‘I’m the tree, you’re the branch.’ The day I saw my father (for the first time in who knows how long), I quickly realized something. He wasn't the same person I remembered. He’d aged, had wrinkles, and a full-head of white hair. The tree that I remembered growing up next to was gone. The house inside was the same as I remembered but… older… dustier; and it felt… strange. As time seems to fly by for me, it also does for my father. And in all my parting, I never stopped to think about how much time actually went by. I spent my youth being so prideful and stubborn. I never even considered that as I was aging, so was he. I’ve had countless chances to fix things but wasn’t brave enough to actually do it. And now, I will never be able to get that time back. I wanted to capture that feeling when I wrote this song. My only hope is that when people hear ‘Glenwood,’ they can think about their own lives and the people they’ve pushed away and ask themselves: ‘Is it really worth being upset for this long?’ I believe all we really want is to go back to that special place – a place where nostalgia triumphs over trauma; a place that we can call home.”

“Glenwood” follows the release of “Oblivion,” “Unbreakable” and “Prison Of Flesh” from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me. As Lorna Shore’s fifth album and the first in three years since 2022’s explosive Pain Remains, it continues the band’s reputation as one of the most impressive extreme metal acts to emerge in recent memory.

The quintet, also including lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor and bassist Michael Yager, have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, Lorna Shore have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.

I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me is now available in multiple formats including digital, CD and limited-edition vinyl variants. Fans can stream the album HERE and find their preferred physical and digital retailer HERE. Fans can also shop a merch collection, available HERE.

Lorna Shore will bring tracks from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me and other hits on the road beginning September 17, joined by The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow Of Intent and PeelingFlesh in a tour produced by Live Nation. Tickets are on sale now.

BEYOND THE BLACK - release new single/video 'The Art Of Being Alone' feat. Lord Of The Lost

Symphonic metal sensation BEYOND THE BLACK are excited to share the third single from their eagerly awaited upcoming studio album, Break The Silence, which is due to be released on January 9th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The emotional anthem 'The Art Of Being Alone' features none other than Chris Harms of acclaimed German metal band Lord Of The Lost on guest vocals, and lyrically deals with important contemporary issues such as mental health, self-empowerment and positive life perception. A video that has been released alongside the single illustrates the feeling of being alone and cornered, but towards the end, it shows the path to self-awareness and ultimately, a way out of this mental prison.

Singer Jennifer Haben commented:
“‘The Art Of Being Alone’ is one of the most emotional songs for us since it‘s born from personal battles and quiet reflections. We wanted it to be fragile and powerful at the same time and we believe many of you will find your own story between its lines. Having Chris Harms join us with his uniquely intense voice and personality felt absolutely perfect and brought a depth to this track that made it even more special.”

Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost) added:
"This duet was long overdue! For more than 10 years now, LORD OF THE LOST and BEYOND THE BLACK have been crossing paths — we like and appreciate each other and it was kind of obvious that Jenny’s and my voices would work great together. Now we’ve finally made it happen and created this powerful, goosebump-inducing song together! I’m really happy about it!"

BEYOND THE BLACK's sixth full length Break The Silence is a concept album rooted in melodic metal with ethno influences, it explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience and the urgent need to reconnect in a divided world. Tracks like 'Let There Be Rain', '(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma', 'Ravens' and 'The Flood' examine how words – and their absence – shape our reality. It’s an emotional, multi-layered experience that mirrors today’s complex world and invites fans to be part of this new chapter.

With the release of their third album Heart Of The HurricaneBEYOND THE BLACK launched their first European headline tour in fall 2019 – over 20 shows in 10 countries, most of them sold out. The band returned to the studio soon after and in June 2020 released the highly anticipated Horizons, which entered the German album charts at #3 (CH #6, AT #16, BE #53).

After the pandemic-induced break, BEYOND THE BLACK came back stronger than ever: Following a successful European tour in fall 2022, their self-titled fifth album BEYOND THE BLACK dropped in January 2023, charting in several countries (DE #2, UK #2 Rock, CH #6, AT #12, SE #12, US #7 Top New Artist) and marking a new career high.

Following a powerful festival summer, the band toured Australia and New Zealand for the first time in late 2023, as special guests of Swedish metal act THE HALO EFFECT. In early 2024, BEYOND THE BLACK played their most successful European headline tour to date – Dancing In The Dark – followed by more celebrated shows across the continent that summer.

In early 2025, the band reached another milestone with their first-ever Latin America tour, playing headline shows in Argentina, Chile and Mexico, as well as performing at Brazil’s renowned Bangers Open Air. In summer 2025, they will once again take the stage at Europe’s most prestigious festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Hellfest and Graspop.

The excitement continues as BEYOND THE BLACK launch their next European headline tour, Rising High, kicking off in January 2026, tied with the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album Break The Silence.
