CONQUEST RELEASE NEW SINGLE/LYRIC VIDEO, "CELTIC MIST” TODAY, AND CONCERT ENGAGEMENT SUPPORTING BURNING WITCHES

Veteran Midwest metallists Conquest returned with their latest album, and have just unleashed their latest single and lyric video from it, "Celtic Mist.”

View the lyric video below.

Concerning the new single/video, the group's singer and guitarist, Derrick Brumley, explained: "Celtic Mist is a great track that has a different feel to it than everything on the record. It leads off with bass guitar and the song is driven by the low end, and the bass guitar hook. Rob Boyer was in Ireland and came back with this great vibe and idea for the tune. Very strong and rhythm-driven. One of my favorite tunes on the record!"

'Paradox' is available as two vinyl records or a single CD (plus available on all streaming services), the album continues in the same direction as their previous studio offerings, as evidenced by such standout tracks as "Walking Dead" and "The Writings on the Wall" (both of which have already been issued as music videos), as well as a cover of the Rainbow classic, "Man on the Silver Mountain.”

Walking Dead - https://youtu.be/DkCKJ8PhbiA

The Writings on the Wall - https://youtu.be/Le9KNK4PuNA?si=LBBZ6oPhD7cYjaS1

Comprised of Brumley, Mike Crook: Vocals and Guitar, Rob Boyer: Vocals and Bass, and Lee Skyles: Vocals and Drums, 'Paradox' was also produced and engineered by Derrick (and mixed by Adam Long), the band's latest album is getting rave reviews via metal media, including the Rock You Show site saying "I have to give this one 9.5 out of 10 "Flaming Fist". You nearly get 2 albums worth of great quality music, including a stellar cover of Rainbow's "Man on the Silver Mountain". I thank them personally for keeping the Metal torch lit in these times of darkness".

Having already shard concert stages with the likes of Slayer, Rob Halford, Testament, Iron Maiden, and Yngwie Malmsteen, the band can certainly deliver the goods on stage. And fans will get a chance to experience Conquest live on stage on July 12th, when the band performs with Burning Witches at the Diamond Music Hall, and also, by with the track "Celtic Mist."

The Intemperate Sons Release Heavier, High Energy Cover of Nirvana's "Dumb"; New Album 'Dark Day’s Night' Out Now via FRAME|WORK

The Intemperate Sons have unveiled their latest song, a heavier more high energy cover of Nirvana's "Dumb," featured on their newly released album, Dark Day’s Night.

STREAM "Dumb"

WATCH "Dumb" (A Nirvana Cover) by The Intemperate Sons Below.

This album takes a darker turn from their debut, mirroring the tumultuous times we live in today. In Dark Day's Night, The Intemperate Sons explore the hidden demons within us all that no one else can see, reflecting the notion that the brightest souls often burn the shortest before fading away.

Immerse yourself in the gritty sonic landscape of The Intemperate Sons' second album, Dark Day's Night. With tracks like the haunting title song, the introspective "Falling Under," and the reflective "Way Back When," this album weaves a compelling story of resilience amidst turmoil. "Unrealized" and "CØNTRØL8" delve into the battle for autonomy in a disordered world, while "Game of Keep Away" offers a raw take on the struggle of self-destruction and survival. The album also features a heavier, more intense cover of Nirvana's "Dumb," adding a unique layer to this already diverse album. Dark Day's Night is not just an album; it's a journey through the shadows, echoing with the sounds of defiance and liberation.

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. All Intemperate Sons’ tracks are mixed by Amir Derakh at Synthicide in Long Beach, CA. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K.

Dark Day's Night is available HERE

The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together. The band's sound has been described as a 90's alternative style that is obsessed with the 70's.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillersand Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sonslived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,” and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

Please get in touch if you would like to interview the band.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

"With this video, we wanted to do something we've never done before," the band states. "Lynnewood Hall's aesthetic felt like we were able to really depict the song to its truest form. ABOUT POST PROFIT:
Some would say Post Profit have been waiting for this moment since the cradle, with each member being introduced to musical instruments between the ages of 2 to 6.

Zach and Matt forged a friendship as toddlers ever since their moms became best friends from church in Longview, TX. Nick would later learn of Matt's vocal prowess through the high school intercom. "Matt's father was the high school principal," explains Nick. "And he'd have Matt on there in the mornings singing about refraining from drugs and alcohol and striving for good school attendance."

Over the next few years, the trio would really get to know each other from attending and performing at local shows. Nick and Zach especially hit it off and quickly became inseparable, spending much of their time listening to music, eager to put their own band together. Meanwhile, Matt was sinking his teeth into a Dallas based metalcore band called Far From Earth.

During early 2017, Matt started hosting open jams every Sunday at a smoky East Texas dive bar and one night asked Zach to join on drums. Zach dragged his new friend Nick along on guitar and the trio quickly formed a strong musical bond. They would soon start slipping originals into their covers sets and after months of unrelenting practices and bar jams they booked their first show at a Halloween party in Tyler, TX.

With the experience of countless gigs across the South, Post Profit soon gained a reputation for their commanding and impactful live performance, including powerful 2021 and 2022 performances at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona, FL. Rallying around influences such as Deftones, Incubus, Failure, and Quicksand, the band refined their original songs and sound into what would become their 2022 debut self-produced album When You Think It's Right It's Always Wrong. The release garnered over a million cumulative streams independently, and the success of their single "Smother" grabbed the attention of SharpTone Records, eventually landing them a deal.

When it was time to hit the road in support of their 2024 Self Defeater EP, the guys turned to Los Angeles native Charles Horin to round out the lineup on bass. "Charles was previously in a band called Analog Party," explains Nick. "And they had very heavy influences from Failure, one of our favorite bands, so we knew right away he would be a great fit musically."

With the release of Self Defeater, Post Profit have you right where they want you, existing in a constant state of evolution while ushering hard rock forward with them. Masterfully crafted to leave the listener wanting more, this is Post Profit letting the world know who they are.

SINGER + GUITARIST TIM MONTANA RELEASES NEW ALBUM SAVAGE TODAY, JULY 12

Tim Montana is making a case for being 2024’s breakout rock act” (Loudwire)as the singer/guitarist/songwriter drops his debut rock album Savage, today. Get it here.

"I've finally found my creative freedom after a decade-plus in Nashville, feeling like an alien on a strange planet," Montana offers about the record. "I've been told I was too loud, too vulgar, and my appearance was scary for as long as I can remember on Music Row. Now, I can own all of these things with confidence and write the music I've always wanted to write."

He continues, "Savage was produced by one of my best friends, Micah Wilshire, and we came loaded for bear and ready to release one on the rock scene. These 11 songs go hard into my life thus far and are unapologetically me. Written and recorded between an 1800s cabin in Wise River, Montana and a converted tuff shed in Nashville, Tennessee, I was right in my element. This is the beginning of my future and the world better be ready because here comes the f***in' trailerhood."

The record has received press accolades from Knotfest, Metal Injection, Loudwire, and more.

“Montana harnessed a heavier rock sound… that's long been a part of his musical DNA.” (ABC Audio)

“He is bringing the hard rock influence of his childhood, the experiences of Los Angeles and the storytelling chops he built up in Nashville all together for a new rock album.” (Loudwire)

“Offering testament to his rock music lineage, the album combines Montana's keen songwriting ability with the kind of grit and conviction that has been his signature since day one.” (Knotfest)

Today, he shares the new focus track “Get You Some.”

"My wife would argue that I've never bought my four kids a five-star dinner; so, I'll call those lines foreshadowing," Montana laughs. "'Get You Some' is the heaviest song off the record and one helluva banger. It's a shout out to all the lost kids from the lost towns and marching orders to chase their dreams and keep clawing to the top!"

Montana cranks the knobs to 11 on "Get You Some," a certified hard-rock banger. It's the heaviest and most aggressive track on his debut rock album Savage. Thanks to the gnarly riffage, breakneck pace and Montana's ferocious howl that sounds like it crawled from the bowels of hell, "Get You Some" will find its way onto your gym playlist because it gets the red out! Throw the horns up, bang your head, start a mosh pit and "Get You Some."

On Savage, Montana gets in touch with his undeniable rock 'n' roll roots. Armed with grit, guitars, and a hunger for glory, Montana has been endorsed by Dave Grohl and ZZ Top's Billy F Gibbons, booked by David Letterman, and had his anthems used by the MLB and NHL. His moody, crackling, '90s-influenced riffs and whiskey-soaked vocals reel fans in while his storytelling keeps them. Savage is a custom and combustible cocktail, served in a dirty, cracked glass that proves why Montana earned iHeartRadio's "On The Verge" accolade.

Giving fans a preview of the project with a series of releases, the road to Savage kickstarted with “Devil You Know,” a track that Loudwire called “One of the 30 Best Rock + Metal Songs of 2023” and “a flawless track, both musically and lyrically.” The single would climb into the Top 5 at Rock Radio and solidify his place in the genre.  It was followed by the breakout title track and most recently he leaked the final preview with “Die Today”, “a gritty and grungy anthem that pays tribute to the special forc

About Tim Montana:

Tim Montana forges a new frontier for hard rock. Following a tumultuous and downright unbelievable childhood in a trailer off-the-grid, the singer, guitarist, and entrepreneur left his home state of Montana in the rearview at barely eighteen-years-old. Driven by a restless work ethic, he quietly carved out a niche without comparison. Along the way, he performed on The Late Show with David Letterman at the behest of the host (practically unheard of for a totally independent artist), collaborated with everyone from Billy F Gibbons to Kid Rock (cracking the charts for the first time), made a fan out of Charlie Sheen (who directed the "Mostly Stoned" video), and even attracted his idol Dave Grohl to his corner. Forged by a long grind, he fulfilled his destiny in 2023. Tim shook the rock world with "Devil You Know." Christened "flawless" and "One of the 30 Best Rock + Metal Songs of 2023" by Loudwire, the breakout single surged onto Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Rock & Alternative Airplay charts. In its wake, iHeartRadio touted him as an "On The Verge Artist." Soon, he found himself booked for tours with Staind, Seether, Saint Asonia, Bush, and Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains (another hero of Tim's). Simultaneously, he and Gibbons purchased an historic bar and hotel Wise River Club in Wise River, MT. Coming back home to Montana inspired him to go even wilder on his 2024 full-length album, Savage. The hooks hit harder, the distortion was cranked up louder, and the spirit became freer.  Tim is telling a story that will resonate far beyond his home state, and you can hear it loud and clear on the Music Knox/BMG project available now.

NYC electronic artist PAS MUSIQUE presents new 'Come Follow Me' album, a tribute to the dark genius of Fad Gadget

"A glitchy and eerie trip... an adventurous sonic thread, the electronic maestros we know as Pas Musique weave an instrumental path inspired by pioneers such as Zoviet France and NEU!" The Spill Magazine

"Channeling the raw energy of industrial electronica, Pas Musique crafts a cacophonous yet electrifying soundscape, translating into a mind-bending experience" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Fans of 1980s electronic music will recognise the influences: early monophonic synths that spit out jarring sawtooth and creamy muted wave forms in equal proportion, as well as the one-note crunchy handclaps, tinny electronic hi-hats and thudding beat repetition to infinity" ~ Joyzine

"Pas Musique recall an industrial that once was, such cacophonous and ominously bustling sounds from the likes of Throbbing Gristle, Zoviet France, or more modern wreckers of civilization like the Belgian duo Silk Saw" ~ PopMatters

"Constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music... Like neurons firing impulses on all cylinders contrasted by lightly biting buzzsaw nicks, much electro-knob-twiddling and a menacing sonic undercurrent" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"An appealing if appropriately bizarre flow to everything... effective sound art" ~ Scene Point Blank

Brooklyn-based experimental electronic artist Pas Musique is ready to reveal his new full-length album 'Come Follow Me', released via NYC-based label Alrealon Musique.  Prepare to be led down a shadowy sonic path on this new full-length exploration of electronic dissonance with seven tracks that pays homage to the late Frank Tovey a.k.a. Fad Gadget.

With roots deriving from 80's synthpop, these compositions offer a touch of modern noise, lyrics that are inspired by metaphysical and philosophical themes, and abstract vocalizations. These electro-krautrock-influenced tracks were previewed by the title track and the single 'Too Civilized', which blasts the myth of progress, implying that the shiny veneer of progress masks a society and systems that have been degraded - a regression of our own making.

Influenced by such artists as Faust, Coil, Zoviet France and NEU, Pas Musique was launched in 1995 Brooklyn as a solo abstract-sound project of founder Robert L. Pepper, having since evolved through different lineups and variations of experimental electronic iterations.

The new album follows up 2023's 'Shaman' album and 2021's 'Amateur Radio', when Pas Musique was a four-piece consisting of Jon V Worthley, Michael Durek, Jesse Fairbairn and Robert L. Pepper. While still involved with live performances (and other recordings currently in the works, it is solely Pepper involved in the new album.

"This is the first album where I added vocals and not solely vocalizations. It's a balance of the commercial and the strange. It is a tribute to the pop-industrial project Fad Gadget so I tried to keep my experimental edge and add in some pop elements. I never thought I would be trying something like this. But if you know Pas Musique's history, we change periodically with different styles. I like to keep the sound fresh and challenge the project sonically," says Robert L. Pepper.

"It started with a concept of "Could I make an album with vocals, while dipping into a pop edge?" So I wrote sequences that use some 80's sounding synth sounds in the style of Fad Gadget. Then the vocals just came to me. 'Come Follow Me' was the first track that materialized and then the workflow began. Tracks just evolve naturally."

Since emerging on the music scene 29 years ago, Pas Musique has pursued musical elements of electronic and experimental music with krautrock undertones. Pas Musique has collaborated with many great musicians, including Faust, Rapoon, ZEV, Philippe Petit, HATI, Chester Hawkins, Jim Tuite, and many more. Pas Musique has performed in 18 countries and throughout the United States. Pas Music is also currently working with Robin Storey of Rapoon on other completely avant, experimental, improvisational compositions.

On July 12, the 'Come Follow Me' album will be available everywhere digitally, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. It will also be released by Alrealon Musique on CD

FEDERALE marks 20 years of Alternative Spaghetti Western music on sixth album 'Reverb & Seduction' album. Catch their West Coast tour

“Equal parts Ennio Morricone, Lee Hazelwood, and Nick Cave with a touch of Chris Isaak’s less romantic side… few if any artists are brave and/or creative enough to channel this ghostly, often ominous vibe into moving, sensual and stirring music” ~ American Songwriter

"Their most immersive and varied album to date, Collin Hegna and his merry band of music-makers take us on a fantastic journey... and on ‘Heaven Forgive Me’, Hegna channels the post-punk vibes of such bands as The Church, Pink Turns Blue and The Mission to our delight" ~ The Spill Magazine

Portland's iconic outfit Federale present their sixth studio album 'Reverb & Seduction' album, out July 12 via Jealous Butcher Records.  Led by Collin Hegna, Federale marks 20 years with this release. A member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre for equally as long, Hegna has been party to a lot of feedback & fuzzed out guitars in his time.

'Reverb & Seduction' is a 10-track tour-de-force road trip from psych rock to country duets, never straying too far from the spaghetti western roots that inspired the band many blood-moons ago. What began as an homage to those cinematic soundscapes of the Italian 60s has evolved well past those not-so-humble beginnings. Today's Federale draws from inspirations as wide ranging as Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Lee Hazlewood and also, naturally, BJM.

The throughline in all these influences is a penchant for the darkly romantic. Our narrator guiding us through these stories delivers the news in deep baritone reflecting the gravitas of the song’s arrangements. Distorted guitars, mellotrons and 70s inspired string arrangements sit side by side with driving drum patterns and moaning pedal steel. This goat's head alphabet soup of inspirations mingles to create a sum stranger than the whole of its parts. A siren calls us in the night towards certain destruction, but its song is so beautiful we cannot resist.

These musical homages involve a lineup of well-known Portland rock-scene vets, including talents from The Dandy Warhols, The Shivas, Roselit Bone, Rogue Wave and Delines.  Members of The Black Angels, Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, Mission Spotlight and Courtney Barnett's band also contribute, as well as Grammy nominee Hunter Lea (Nancy Sinatra / Lee Hazlewood reissue producer) and Andrew Joslyn (Nancy Wilson, Kei$ha, Macklemore, Mark Lanegan)

“This album to me represents the culmination of 20 years of sonic exploration. With each record I’ve allowed a few more genres and musical influences into the playground. And with this, our 6th full length, I wanted to see how well they all played together at once. I was curious what happened when you crossed 80s deathrock with 70s folk balladeer stylings. Or 60s acid jams with string laden country crooning. It turns out it works pretty well,” says Collin Hegna.

"Before, I'd have an idea and think, 'Well, that can't be a Federale song', because it had distorted guitars or whatever. But then I thought, 'Well, why not?'"

Recorded at Revolver Studios in Portland, this album was engineered by Collin Hegna, Matt Thomson and Andrew Joslyn, who boasts five 5 Grammy Award winning albums. Mixed by Hegna with Jeff Stuart Saltzman (The Black Keys, The High Violets) and Matt Thomson, it was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Mastering.

This openness to a broader palette of influences allows 'Reverb & Seduction' to veer into psychedelic and even gothic territory - think Love and Rockets or Sisters of Mercy - that the 2010s Federale might have considered off limits. For instance, the album's first single 'Heaven Forgive Me' draws on Goblin (the Italian prog-rockers who scored 'Suspiria') and a little Depeche Mode, and the 'No Strangers'is a sonic tribute to Lee Hazlewood, while the third single 'Advice From A Stranger' borrows the fuzz and feedback of DIG!-era BJM and The Electric Prunes.

Beginning to color outside those Ennio Morricone lines, perhaps Hegna has finally decided to give his psych-rock alter ego a seat at the Federale table. For all these rumblings of change, 'Reverb & Seduction' is still very much a Federale record, and longtime fans will find plenty of the cinema-ready soundscapes they've come to expect.

Federale has carved out a unique niche within the indie music landscape, blending their signature spaghetti-Western instrumental sound with increasing doses of moody vocal arrangements in the spirit of Lee Hazlewood and late-period Leonard Cohen. Through it all, Hegna – as both songwriter and lead singer – maintains a strictly retro vibe. Federale's records have always sounded period-correct for an alternate-universe 1971, where rock and roll never caught on.

The film industry continues to take notice as well: The band's latest licensing successes include placing tracks in the trailer for the Colin Farrell / Brendan Gleeson vehicle 'Banshees Of Inisherin', as well as in the Kate Hudson thriller 'Mona Lisa & The Blood Moon' and Swiss action/comedy 'Mad Heidi'.

As of July 12, 'Reverb & Seduction' album will be everywhere digitally, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and Band camp. It will also be released on CD and limited edition vinyl, available via the net and from fine record dealers.

Federale's 'Reverb & Seduction' tour, which takes them up and down the U.S. West coast and beyond, kicks off in Portland on July 12 with their album release show. A European tour is anticipated in late fall 2024.

DARK FUNERAL Shares New Reworked Single, "My Dark Desires (Re-Recording 2024)" ⛧

Swedish black metal stalwarts DARK FUNERAL are now celebrating three decades of blasphemywith a re-worked version of their debut album! 'Dark Funeral (30th Anniversary Edition)' is due on August 9 via Century Media Records and has been remixed by David Castillo and re-mastered once again by Thomas "Plec" Johansson. The band is now sharing the third offering from the record, "My Dark Desires (Re-Recording 2024)" along with a visualizer! The clip can be found below.

DARK FUNERAL has previously commented about the special edition, “In January 1994, Blackmoon (RIP) and I put our entire income and savings into a recording session and pressing 1,000 copies of our 4-track debut Mini-CD. A Mini-CD we released ourselves too. To now reach the significant milestone with an epic 30th anniversary is of course very honorable for me & the band. Three decades of Swedish Black Metal filled with precious memories. It is now time for us to reflect on what started it all, a 30-year epic journey, filled with experiences and an unbreakable bond. And in this honor, we have breathed new life into these legendary songs & given them an honest but modern update. Enjoy!“

In addition, DARK FUNERAL will be embarking on a U.S. tour later this year as direct support for GWAR! The trek will kick off on October 17 in Las Vegas, NV and will dominate the states until the final stop on November 20 in Nashville, TN. Living Dead Girl Drops "UGLY" Video

LIVING DEAD GIRL has premiered the video for the latest single "UGLY" over at Revolver. Watch it Below.

"'Ugly' is a song I wrote from a place of frustration, knowing many fellow women could relate," the artist shares. "It's about wanting to be taken seriously for your contributions and skills without being objectified or undermined in any profession or passion. When it came to making a music video, we wanted to bring that idea to life, but in true Living Dead Girl form, it still needed to have an element of fun and humor. Even with a serious message, we still are a band that likes to have fun in everything we do. I paid some subtle homage to The Powerpuff Girls and their message of girl power and empowerment, while playing into the aesthetic of a campy horror movie. All while tying it into a gym setting: the place in which every woman just wants to be left alone!"

ABOUT LIVING DEAD GIRL:
Florida transplants originally from Toronto Canada, LIVING DEAD GIRL is a female-fronted metal band that exploded onto the alternative music scene with their debut album Exorcism in 2021. Created by vocalist and songwriter Molly Rennick, produced by the critically acclaimed Mitchell Marlow (In This Moment, Papa Roach, All That Remains), and mastered by Howie Weinberg (U2, Nirvana, Metallica), Exorcism boasted 11 banging tracks including the hit single "Alive," which reached the Billboard charts with two weeks at #1 as the Most Added song on the Mainstream Rock Indicator, and #17 on the Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart. "Alive" was also #3 on the Top 10 Greatest Gainers Secondary Market Rock Chart, reached #5 on the Top 50 Secondary Market Rock chart, and #10 on SiriusXM Canada's Indigenous Music Countdown! The album's success has had the band interviewed by, and featured in dozens of world-renowned publications including Revolver, Hustler, Outburn, and more.

Rennick's bold presence on stage and in videos attracts large audiences around the world, with the band's YouTube videos in the hundreds of thousands of views, and regular signed merchandise and CD orders being shipped all around the world as far as Australia and Japan. A noteworthy fact about the band is that Rennick was thought to be a stillborn at birth; however, Rennick survived and grew into the powerhouse vocalist she is today, which boasts a significant and meaningful underlying story to the name "Living Dead Girl."

The momentum Living Dead Girl is moving at as a young independent band that released their first album in the middle of a pandemic is unbelievable, until you hear it for yourself. A seamless hybrid of goth, rock, and pop punk, Living Dead Girl has distinctly created their own genre that markets to the masses. After filling 2022 with international tours including festival performances, Living Dead Girl attacked 2023 with two NEW ALBUMS, new music videos, and months of international touring! Now, they have come into 2024 swinging with new single "Ugly," as featured on SiriusXM Octane TestDrive, and more touring in both the U.S. and Canada. Living Dead Girl is force to be reckoned with, and is "the future of heavy music." (Underground Nation).

And So I Watch You From Afar Share New Track "Years Ago" — LISTEN // Summer Tour Kicks Off This Month

Stalwart Irish post-rock outfit And So I Watch You From Afar have released "Years Ago," the third single from their forthcoming seventh album Megafauna, which releases August 9 via Berlin's Pelagic Records and Velocity Records in the U.S.

Listen here or here.

"Where 'Years Ago' retains some of the urgency that is across Megafauna, for me. it also presents another color of the record — a kind of sensitivity, underpinned by a nod to the old hip-hop loops that we all grew up on," says the band's Ewen Friers.

A tribute to the two places the collective call home, their beloved Portrush on the Irish North Coast and the beating heart that is Belfast, Megafauna is headstrong exploration and heartfelt appreciation with all the intuition, intimacy and humor of four firm friends approaching their 20th year as a band and a nod to the Irish roots that simultaneously ground and propel them forward.

A contemplative yet characteristically playful piece, "Years Ago" is a shining example of ASIWYFA's inimitable grasp of creative composition and call-and-response dynamics. Shuffling, laid back drums drift underneath wandering, effortless melodies as the overdrive slowly but surely sneaks up on us, bursting in a gleeful cascade of dueling guitars and spiraling cymbals. "Years Ago" is ASIWYFA in their jarring yet joyous element — a musical melting pot of cultural influences and diverse inspirations.

Like so many other bands and creatives throughout the pandemic, ASIWYFA found themselves suddenly stationary, with any plans outside of their immediate vicinity put on indefinite hold. However, where this might have seen other acts falter, ASIWYFA took comfort in their communal bond and, as soon as they were able, began writing a record that quickly became a love letter to the communities they call home.

The intent behind Megafauna is clear from the outset. Two guitars, bass, and drums all recorded in a week erupt into effervescent life in an endorphin rush of collaboration and togetherness after the physical and psychological wilderness of isolation.

Megafauna is the band's first new music since 2022's critically-acclaimed Jettison,an ambitious multi-media ensemble piece packed full of experimentation and collaboration. Jokingly referring to Jettison as their mature record’, the band framed the writing of Megafauna around the their long-running mantra of "DO THE SCARY THING," which sees ASIWYFA constantly hurtling towards newness, towards progress, evolution and the unknown. Whilst the new record is ASIWYFA taking on a more familiar, traditional form; in this post-Jettison, post-pandemic world, Megafauna is a deafening and defiant statement of intent from the band's propulsive core — a clarion call for the communities that shape them, a resplendent celebration of togetherness over separation.

The band is also embarking on a U.S. co-headline tour with Caspian later this month. All dates are below.

The Wolf and The King is a monument of black metal mastery. 1349's new album album is an eight-track odyssey recorded at Amper Tone in Oslo and New Constellation R.M.P. in Orlando, produced and mixed by the relentless duo Ravn and Jarrett Pritchard. These eight songs do more than just push boundaries; they shatter them, exploring themes of transformation through destruction, liberation and mind expansion.

Each song on The Wolf and The King is a portal into realms where shadows reign and chaos is the only order. "Shadow Point" enhances 1349's ferocity with unrelenting grooves and complex headbanging riffs that echo the haunting chills of the abyss. From the menacing "The God Devourer" to the cataclysmic "Fatalist", the band imbues the album with apocalyptic elegance. The previously released "Ash of Ages" merges thrash influences with black metal intensity, while "Inferior Pathways" forms an indomitable backbone of unforgiving riffs and demonic rhythms.

"Shadow Point" is just the beginning of The Wolf and the King's aural assault. Kneel into the void and bow to the relentless fury of 1349's blackened artistry.

1349 is not like other bands. It’s not a group of friends who decided to make music together. 1349 is a band formed with a unified vision and specific purpose: To maintain the legacy of black metal.

“I didn’t like the direction that black metal took in the mid part of the ’90s,” 1349 vocalist and mastermind Ravn recalls. “It started losing everything that I liked about black metal—the grimness, the eeriness, the primal emotions that captivated me and brought me into that sphere. You had all these synthesizer-based bands dressing up in pirate shirts and looking like goths. It ruined something that I truly hold close to my heart.”

In 1997, Ravn formed 1349 and recruited bassist Seidemann and, now former, guitarist Tjalve to help him pursue the vision of recapturing the original spirit of black metal. The longstanding lineup of Ravn, Seidemann, guitarist Archaon, and drummer Frost (also of Satyricon) has been in place since 2001. “I found people that felt the same way as me,” Ravn says of his bandmates. “We wanted to bring back the trademark of Norwegian black metal, as it was presented in the early 90s. Every time we release an album, that’s the inspiration and the backdrop.”

The Wolf and the King is the latest sortie in that crusade.1349’s eighth album sees the Oslo-based band harnessing the primordial energy of black metal’s decade-defining second wave and channeling it through ancient mysteries and the relentless global chaos of the 2020s.

The album title comes from a classic alchemical allegory: A wolf devours a king. Then the wolf is devoured by flames, and a new king rises from the ashes. “When I first heard about alchemy when I was young, it was people turning metal into gold,” Ravn says. “Further down the road, through various literatures and magical practices, I realized that what you’re turning into gold is metaphorical. It’s about personal development, basically. You want to be the best you can be, and that’s what we try to do as well. We try to top ourselves, to kill our egos in order to grow as persons. If you don’t do that, you will die. You will not rise from the ashes.”

Lead single “Ash of Ages” combines thrash with extreme metal flourishes and a proper doomsday theme. “The song is based on a story I read about a layer of ash that covered the Earth 12,000 years ago,” Ravn explains. “This layer of ash comes from a meteorite that struck the Earth during the Ice Age. It melted a lot of the ice, which is where the Great Flood came from. The Great Flood is in the Bible, but it was written about in every ancient culture. The theory is that it washed away a lot of other ancient cultures that held a higher intelligence level than those that were found after the flood. So, it possibly set human civilization back many thousands of years.”

Released as a one-sided maxi-12” with a flipside etching by Jordan Barlow—who did all the artwork for The Wolf and the King (as well as the band’s 2019 album, The Infernal Pathway)—“Ash of Ages” is also a warning to check your ego. “To think that you’re important, that you’re anything but an ant down there, is futile,” Ravn points out. “In the end, everything will be washed away, and nothing will be left.”

“Shadow Point” comes complete with a video and revisits the sonic domain of The Infernal Pathway with a classic headbanger groove. “This one references the Star of Algol, or ‘the Demon Star,’” Ravn offers. “It’s actually two stars that revolve around each other, and the small one is devouring the big one. Human beings have seen this star from early ages, and it has had many names over the years. It’s a known part of the magical world, so I wanted to include it in a song.”

Shot through with menace and a snaky groove, album opener “The God Devourer” will also have a video. “The lyrics are based on the alchemical principle of devouring all that you feel is in your way of becoming a better human,” Ravn says. “It sets the ominous tone for the whole album.”

Recorded at Amper Tone in Oslo, Norway, and New Constellation R.M.P. in Orlando, Florida, The Wolf and the King was produced and mixed by Ravn and Jarrett Pritchard (Eulogy, Pulchra Morte), the band’s long-standing sonic wizard who also worked on their previous two albums. The lyrics were written by the band’s longtime wordsmith, Svartalv, who has been working with 1349 for twenty years.

Jordan Barlow’s elaborate artwork for The Wolf and the King reflects the album’s chronological position in 1349’s discography. “This is our eighth album, and the artwork and lyrics are filled with references to this number of infinity,” Ravn explains. “You can basically go on a quest finding references to the number in the artwork.”

All told, The Wolf and the King is the exalted output of the joint force that is 1349. “We all work together to make the best black metal possible every time we release an album,” Ravn says. “This is our common goal. We’re a band on a mission.”

About Koe Wetzel
Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no- holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” (feat. Parker McCollum), “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.” Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” plus the Gold-certified “Good Die Young” and “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.” To date, Wetzel has 2.6 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.” In 2023 alone, he sold more than 275,000 tickets, and appeared for a third time on POLLSTAR’s Top Worldwide Tours. Wetzel will open for Morgan Wallen on the superstar’s One Night at a Time Stadium Tour this July and play prominent sets at festivals like Country Thunder and Watershed this summer, while also headlining his own Damn Near Normal World Tour. His new album, 9 Lives (Columbia), is set for release July 19.

About Jessie Murph
19-year-old powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Jessie Murph has been having an exciting 2024. Most recently she released her new single, “Cold,” to rave reviews and brought her sold-out global headline tour to North America after hitting major markets abroad and 40 cities across the U.S. & Canada. Earlier this year, Jessie, who was featured as MTV’s PUSH artist in January, showcased her soulful side with “Son of a Bitch.” The Billboard 21 Under 21 honoree’s latest single comes on the heels of her hit track, “Wild Ones,” with Jelly Roll, which has tallied over 200M streams worldwide since release in October, broke through top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. Jessie and Jelly Roll teamed up to perform the critically and commercially acclaimed track on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” and are nominated for Best Music Collaboration at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.

2023 proved to be another standout year for Jessie who released her debut mixtape drowning in February to high praise. In May, she dropped “Cowboys and Angels,” which, along with her single “Texas (ft. Maren Morris),” ushered in a new era that etches raw emotion through her strikingly sincere songs laced with soul-gripping storytelling, hip hop-infused production and alternative experimentation anchored by her modest pop appeal. Named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Genius, Pandora and Amazon Music, Jessie also collaborated with Diplo and Polo G on “Heartbroken,” which hit the Top 40 at pop radio in the U.S. Between praise from various outlets including SPIN, Rolling StoneFlaunt MagazineNYLON and amassing over 1 billion streams globally, Jessie is just getting started.

Drowning Pool Announces July Tour Dates with A Killer's Confession and Moon Fever

Drowning Pool, the iconic heavy metal band known for their electrifying performances and chart-topping hits, is thrilled to announce their July tour dates with special guests A Killer's Confession and Moon Fever! This tour promises to be an adrenaline-fueled journey, featuring Drowning Pool's dynamic return with lead singer Ryan McCombs. Fans can also look forward to the release of brand new music, including their first new single with McCombs in 13 years, currently being mixed and mastered. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for this highly anticipated track!

Drowning Pool will be conducting on-site VIP prior to doors. These VIPs will be sold on a separate platform and WILL NOT include a ticket to the show. All VIPs will need to purchase a show ticket for entrance.

Drowning Pool, a name etched in the score of modern rock history, roars back into the spotlight with thunderous energy and uncompromising power. The band’s unmistakable sound, synonymous with raw energy and unapologetic attitude, returns to captivate audiences once again.

Known for their iconic anthem “Bodies,” Drowning Pool needs no introduction. This breakout single propelled them to international recognition, leaving an indelible mark on the nu metal landscape. The song’s relentless energy and defiant spirit resonated with a generation, becoming an anthem for moshers, metalheads, and fans of electrifying live performances.

Ryan McCombs played a pivotal role in the band’s evolution, joining their ranks in the aftermath of the tragic loss of beloved frontman Dave Williams. His powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence breathed new life into Drowning Pool, solidifying their status as metal titans. Songs like “37 Stitches,” “Feel Like I Do,” and “Turn So Cold”catapulted them to new heights, earning them a place among the genre’s heavyweights.

Yet, Drowning Pool’s story is not just about music; it’s a testament to enduring friendships and a shared passion for their craft. Ryan’s return to the band in 2023 marks a reunion of kindred spirits, a return to the roots of their musical journey. As he succinctly puts it, “Just being back in the same room together after so many years… was a quick reminder as to why I considered them to be my best friends in the business back in the day.”

Their path has not been without its challenges. “Bodies” faced misinterpretations and controversy, with its lyrics taken out of context. Nevertheless, their music has persisted, embraced by the very culture that birthed it. “Bodies” remains an enduring anthem, not just for Drowning Pool but for metal culture as a whole. Its legacy lives on, inspiring new generations of fans. Guitarist C.J. Pierce captures the essence of their dedication: “I’d play ‘Bodies’ five times a night if people really wanted it that bad!” The song’s timeless appeal transcends generations, resonating with both the seasoned and the fresh-faced.

Drowning Pool’s return is a testament to the enduring power of their music, a reminder that their unapologetic spirit continues to strike chords with audiences worldwide. The band experienced a triumphant resurgence in 2023 and with new music on the horizon, a 2024/25 calendar proving that the demand for the band isn’t about to slow down.., Drowning Pool has a white knuckle grip on their present and future with no plans to slow down.

About NAILS:

For the first time in over 8 years, the blistering assault on our nervous system that can only be described as the sound of NAILS, has reemerged. With Carlos Cruz on drums, Andrew Solis on Bass, Shelby Lermo on Guitars, and Todd Jones on guitar & vocals, the upcoming studio album, EVERY BRIDGE BURNING, will be revealed August 30th, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The album artwork, a creation by Jef Whitehead, serves as a visual prelude to the auditory chaos—a stark representation of the aural brutality that NAILS delivers.

Recording for the album commenced in Massachusetts at God City Studio with Kurt Ballou (of CONVERGE), whose contribution is integral to the NAILS sound, as elucidated by Jones: “we’ve recorded every album with Kurt. He’s such an important ingredient as to how we present our music. When our fans want to hear NAILS, they want to hear something that is through the filter of Kurt’s engineering.”

EVERY BRIDGE BURNING was born out of unwavering dedication to NAILS fans and the underground music scene. It echoes their commitment to authenticity and raw power. NAILS remains a beacon of rebellion and resilience in a world hungry for genuine expression. With no shortage of effort or meticulous song arrangement, the time has arrived to become engulfed in the ferocity of NAILS once again as EVERY BRIDGE BURNING unveils a new, but familiar chapter in extreme music.

This band was modeled after some of my favorite bands; the type of bands where, when they put out an album, you know what it’s going to sound like,” describes Jones, “it’s the delivery of the expectation.” The sensory destroying musical onslaught that we’ve all been missing is back. NAILS is Todd Jones, Carlos Cruz, Andrew Solis, and Shelby Lermo.

RICK WAKEMAN ANNOUNCES THE FINAL ONE MAN SOLO TOUR, HIGHLIGHTING YES AND HIS SOLO WORK

The ultimate keyboard wizard, Rick Wakeman CBE, will be embarking on a tour of the US with a series of solo piano concerts for the last time in 2024. Rick, who has become almost as well-known for his intimate piano shows as his prog rock extravaganzas, has decided that after a career spanning over 50 years, he is calling a halt to lengthy American one-man show tours, in order to concentrate on composing, recording and collaborating with other musicians.

As an exclusive gift for fans, on these shows Rick will be premiering a brand new piece of music: Yessonata, a 30-minute instrumental work featuring YES themes and melodies, woven into sonata form. For the first time, Yessonata will also be available to purchase in vinyl format on the fall tour.

Rick first started establishing a reputation as one of rock’s most original and proficient keyboard players in the late Sixties, when he worked with the likes of David Bowie, Cat Stevens, Marc Bolan, Lou Reed, Al Stewart, Elton John and other artists too numerous to mention, as a much-in-demand session player. He stepped out of the recording studio and into the limelight when he first joined the Strawbs and then YES, helping to make the latter the most successful progressive rock band in the world by contributing to seminal albums such as Fragile and Close To The Edge.

But outside of YES, Rick was really able to unleash his creativity with a series of groundbreaking concept albums: The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, which have been performed in large-scale shows featuring bands, orchestras and choirs.

However, he is equally at home as a solo artist in the upclose environment of concert halls, performing music on a piano – both his own and tunes that have a special resonance for him - and recounting wickedly funny stories taken from the length of his career. In recent years, he has added a rack of electric keyboards to ring the changes and enable him to enlarge his live solo repertoire.

Now, for the last time in 2024, Rick will be taking to the road in the US with an all-new solo piano and keyboard show, featuring the premiere of a stunning new work. Don’t miss this final opportunity to enjoy an evening of great music and hilarious stories, delivered by one of the truly legendary figures of rock music.

A STATEMENT FROM RICK:

“I always planned to stop touring by my 77th birthday - for those of you who wish to send me a card, it’s 18th May! - but there is so much to fit in before then that I’m having to make plans now and so my final one-man shows will have to cease by that date."

“I have thoroughly enjoyed performing the various one-man shows, but it’s time to call it a day. I intend to throw in the best of what I have done in the past, plus a few new surprises on the way, and possibly even the odd guest joining me on the odd occasion."

“The plan is not to perform at the same venue twice throughout this period, so whatever venue you are hopefully thinking of coming to, it will be the last performance there - and I am taking this opportunity of thanking everyone and anyone who has supported me over the last 53 years!”
