MACHINE HEAD - RELEASE 'ARRØWS IN WØRDS FRØM THE SKY' MUSIC VIDEO, IN MOBILE-FRIENDLY ASPECT RATIO

Last year, Bay Area metal icons MACHINE HEAD unleashed their incendiary 10th studio album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN. Today, the band releases the music video for the track 'ARRØWS IN WØRDS FRØM THE SKY'. Directed by Jon (Jern) Watson and edited by Mike Sloat, the mobile-friendly video features live footage from the band's 2022 U.S. and European tours.

Watch the mobile-friendly music video for 'ARRØWS IN WØRDS FRØM THE SKY', below.

MACHINE HEAD's Robb Flynn comments, "The last few videos have been very artistic and thematic continuing the black & white scope of the concept record. For this we just wanted to have an old school, 90’s style live video, that is more or less a tribute to our absolutely insane fans (the Head Cases) going bat shit crazy, mixed with some good ol’ life-on-the-road-getting-hammered-backstage-vibe. Enjoy!"

MACHINE HEAD’s new album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN is a 13-track concept album set in a decimated futuristic wasteland where the sky is stained crimson red. The crux of the story is based on two main characters:

Character #1 Ares: (pronounced Aries), our main, who loses the love of his life (Amethyst) and goes on a murderous rampage against the vile sect responsible for her murder.

Character #2 Eros: (pronounced Arrows) the perpetrator, who loses his mother to a drug overdose and becomes radicalized in the aftermath. Eros goes off the deep end manifesting his own killing spree.

KEXP releases full live performance from Brazil psych-rock outfit BIKE in support of new 'Arte Bruta' album

"Cool blend of trippy vibes, sunshine breaking through the haze sonics, drifting ambiance, and some darker, more brooding musical lines to add ballast and edge" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

“Swirling dream of ecstasy” ~ DJ Cheryl Waters, KEXP

"Ultimate ambassadors of Brazilian musicality... creative, trance-inducing, percussive- and groove-led explosion of beautiful sound" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Positive, reflective and stimulating... The light of the sun is here with slight strobes of dark trippiness caught between the trance-like guitar riffs" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A blurring of psyche-rock and tropicalia forms a wall of intrigue... a duvet of graceful momentum" ~ Sound Read Six

"An animated adventure to bass and drums, a rhythmic liveliness bringing rich energy and movement to the intimation soaked landscape" ~ Ringmaster Review

Brazil-based sonic adventurers
BIKE present the video for the live performance session, recently recorded at KEXP in Seattle and broadcast on Cheryl Waters' Midday Show. The session includes select tracks from their new ‘Arte Bruta' album, released via Before Sunrise Records.

Formed in 2015 by Julito Cavalcante (guitar and vocals), Diego Xavier (guitar and voice), Daniel Fumega (drums) and João Gouvea (bass), BIKE's trajectory has been one of impressive journeys - both sonically and geographically.

Apart from the album's lead singles
'Filha do Vento' and 'O Torto Santo', the KEXP session also showcases a medley of 'Olho D'água Grande' and 'Boca do Sol', tracks from their previous 'Quarto Templo' album.

BIKE's Julito Cavalcante explains, "It was a huge achievement for us and very exciting to be able to record at the KEXP studios and even more exciting to have Cheryl Waters host our recording. It's not easy to make a living from music in Brazil, it's even more difficult to tour outside the country and being able to get to KEXP was glorious and we're going to take that for the rest of our lives."

‘Arte Bruta' is BIKE's fifth album and the first since the Covid pandemic broke. Led by producer and guitarist Guilherme Held, this recording exudes maturity and embraces a more Brazilian sound than past releases.

BIKE's blazing musical path recently led to opening for
The Brian Jonestown Massacre in their native São Paolo (and subsequent praise from Anton Newcombe). Earlier in 2023, the band also played dozens of shows at SXSW and Treefort Music Fest to eager listeners.

‘Arte Bruta’ represents the process of self-analysis this psych-rock, post-Tropicalia, noise rock collective has undergone in recent years, resulting in the most daring leap in the group's career. A slow-burning mirror, this album took the band a long time to compose and record, its intricacy  evident with every minute of listening pleasure.

'Arte Bruta' started with the title and the megalomaniac idea of releasing the album on vinyl with just two lengthy compositions. While the downtime of the pandemic grew this into something much greater, the title itself remained, alluding to the clash between artistic sophistication and the harshness of brutality. Seen by many as an artistic movement, especially because of its French nomenclature, "art brut", the term designates creators who are not aware that their creation can be seen as art.

The band's trademark psychedelia is still there, but the musical and lyrical references transcend the lysergic references of past albums. An Afro-Brazilian filter runs through 'Arte Bruta', along with echoes of international rock - 60s psychedelic rock, 70s tropicalism and post-tropicalism, German progressive rock and the rhythmic structure of krautrock.

BIKE released their debut album
'1943' in 2015, followed by 'Em Busca da Viagem Eterna' (2017), 'Their Shamanic Majesties' Third Request' (2018) and 'Quarto Templo' (2019) - each bringing them critical acclaim. BIKE is also the only Brazilian band that has released music ('Enigma Do Dente Falso') in 2014) through Columbia Records imprint, 30th Century Records, founded by cult American producer Danger Mouse.

Having toured Europe three times and played more than 400 shows in 16 Brazilian states, BIKE has also shared the stage with the likes of The Black Angels and Os Mutantes, among others.

The
'Arte Bruta' album is out now and available from fine digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” - Rudyard Kipling

In an era that is designed to beat down and weaken the individual, Black Flame Eternal is an album that represents strength, empowerment, and total opposition. With mounting pressure to engage in modern societal tribalism, Cloak invokes a spiritual rebellion that exists beyond good and evil with album number three.

“All of our albums are created with a spiritual focus, dealing with how we see life, death, and everything in between. I think the earlier records dealt more with the mysteries that surrounded delving deeper into the world of dark spirituality, whereas the new material has taken what we’ve learned and used it to move forward with force,” says Cloak frontman Scott Taysom of the record’s underlying philosophy. “Black Flame Eternal is a statement of spiritual empowerment in every sense. For the first time we want people to grasp on to this sentiment, instead of keeping it completely personal within our world of Cloak. The themes and the sheer power can be felt much more within the songs that this album contains."

“Our goal is complete spiritual liberation, which is where true power and freedom exists,” he adds. “We’ve reached a point in history where people are forced to pick a side or to join a team, so to speak. Cloak stands in complete opposition to this. We aim to be a giant middle finger in the face of the empty modern world.”

While Cloak might rage against societal conventions, the Atlanta quartet embraces the rebellious and time-tested traditions of heavy metal. Whether it be the conjuring the chaotic spirit of Swedish black metal purveyors Watain and Dissection, summoning the deep, dark and sensual groove of Danzig, or evoking the raw speed and raucous energy of Motörhead, the influence of metal’s founding fathers is deep within Cloak’s DNA. Cloak’s charm, however, does not merely lie within its romanticism of the past, but rather is the way each of these genres has shaped Cloak’s own personal identity. And with Black Flame Eternal, the record sees Cloak continue to strengthen its own unique established sound.

Cloak recognizes the importance of a band’s third record, with Taysom explaining, “These influences will always be important to us, as they are some of the best and most important bands of our time. On the other hand, what is so special about getting to the third record of our career is that inspiration starts to move inwards. We had enough experience and material at this point to really know what we do best and how we can utilize these skills in the best way possible. If you look at some of the most iconic bands, their third albums were massive steps towards greatness. So to us, we feel our third record will be a very important one in our time as a band.”

The Atlantan’s evolution is evident in the fury displayed on Black Flame Eternal, which flawlessly compliments the grandiose melodic atmosphere. “This was a conscious effort. Early on before the album even started, I knew it was going to be a much more aggressive and powerful album. I wanted to take a step away from certain sounds and add a bit of brutality back in. The overall vibe matches who we are much more, so it was only fitting to move towards this sound. It almost feels like we are going back to our roots as people in certain ways,” explains Taysom.

Black Flame Eternal follows up sophomore effort The Burning Dawn, which was released in November 2019, with hell unleashing its fury on the globe just a few short months later. As plans to tour the new album around the world came to a screeching halt, the band did not stagger or falter, and instead used this gift of time to write. When reflecting upon the lost years and its impact, Taysom seemingly embraces the situation with little regrets, “Considering Cloak is a sacred space for us, these exterior things did not have as much of an impact as one might think. But it was impossible to ignore some of what was going on throughout these tumultuous years. It’s bound to affect people’s personal lives and the way the mind works during these interesting times. One thing that it did greatly affect was the fact that we could not promote The Burning Dawn properly after the one U.S. tour we did with 1349. We feel this hurt the record, but there was nothing we could do. We were one of the earliest out of the gate after venues started to open back up, and we’ve been continuing to tour in promotion of that album all the way up until now.”

Cloak utilized every minute of this time to focus on fully realizing its vision for Black Flame Eternal. “The initial stage of the writing process started in January of 2020, and lasted all the way until May 2021. It was the longest spanning album process for us so far, with many long days, nights, and weeks trying to piece the songs together the best we could.” While the record did not come together swiftly or easily, the care and attention put into its creation is evident in its powerful composition.

Making up for lost time, these road warriors have already embarked on several high profile North American tours since the autumn of 2021, commanding audiences in every major city with their chaos magick. Each performance merges the spirit of black metal with the backbone of rock ‘n’ roll as the band consistently delivers a blistering set from start to finish. Taysom describes Cloak’s live approach as “a mixture of ethereal atmosphere and total abrasive chaos. The mixture of these two opposing energies is where Cloak lies; the meeting of high and low. To us, this is where the most interesting moments happen, both emotionally and physically.”

With no borders or boundaries, Cloak is ready to embark on this new chapter as the leader of its own pack. The band bows to no one, forging its own path as one of the governing metal forces of this decade as ‘Black Flame Eternal’ promises to scorch the earth and leave its hallowed mark.

THE HALO EFFECT Presents Visualizer For "Path Of Fierce Resistance"

Purveyors of the legendary Gothenburg sound THE HALO EFFECT have presented us with a visualizer for the song ´Path Of Fierce Resistance´, which was previously released as a Japanese exclusive on the band’s globally acclaimed debut album Days Of The Lost, that was released in August 2022.

Now, the ferocious track is finally being released to the rest of the world, before the band embarks on their first US headline run in May and gets back to the studio to work on their next full-length album.

Frontman Mikael Stanne comments:"Path Of Fierce Resistance" is a song we wrote for the Days of the Lost album but it only surfaced on the limited Japanese edition and it has been very close to us and having it here now for all to hear feels fantastic. The new album is in the works and we are incredibly excited about it, so consider this as something to keep you guys going until we unveil what is coming next.

The song is another Jesper and Niclas classic that features everything that we love doing together in this band. Lyrically it deals with unrealistic expectations and about how important it is to follow one's own path and be adamant about it no matter what. We start our tour in the US on the 20th of May and we are beyond stoked to bring this band to America for the first time. Do not miss this!"

Frozen Soul Share "Frozen Soul" + "Assimilator" Video — WATCH // "Glacial Domination" Out Today

NEW ALBUM OUT NOW, VIA CENTURY MEDIA

BRRR! There's a chill in the air and it's courtesy of ice cold death metal crew
Frozen Soul!

The band — vocalist
Chad Green; guitarists Michael Munday and Chris Bonner; bassist Samantha Mobley; and drummer Matt Dennard — is back with frigid force and have unleashed its new album Glacial Domination today, May 19, via Century Media. The album was produced by Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy and co-produced by Daniel Schmuck. Get it here.

Today, the band has shared the double video for "
Frozen Soul" and "Assimilator." Watch it below.

"As a band, we have always pushed to have fun doing what we love. Glacial Domination, as a record, is a statement to our growth together and how we will not stop having fun doing what we love! With the help of Daniel Schmuck and Matthew k Heafy, we did our best to try new things in preproduction and the studio, expanding on what Frozen Soul is, and keeping fun! We truly couldn't be happier with the outcome," the band shares.

Regarding the double video drop, Frozen Soul says, "'Frozen Soul' and 'Assimilator' are the perfect set of tracks to debut the whole record with. These songs showcase where frozen soul has been, where we are and where we plan to go! The songs and video are a tribute to John Carpenter's The Thing, one of our all-time favorite movies and a huge influence on the band! It was amazing having my brother Josh Green involved in the concept and lyrical writing as well as our friend GOST with the synth for the beginning and the end of the two songs! The video shot and edited by Brendan McGowen is set in both The Thing film and comic world and we had a lot of fun creating it in the mountains of Denver! We hope you all enjoy it as much as we did making it all!"

Julien-K is an independent electro-rock band formed in Long Beach CA in 2008 by long time friends and collaborators Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck (founding members of Orgy, Dead By Sunrise). Later joined by Anthony “Fu” Valcic in 2009, the band recorded it’s now classic debut album Death To Analog. Over the last 10 years, the band has released multiple albums and toured extensively, and has become one of the most successful crowd-funded bands in the world. Despite the band's dark & stylistic videos and Blade Runner-esque imagery, the band has focused on a totally “connected” independent and authentic fan-focused career path - often avoiding a more classic commercial approach.

Old Dominion, Kelsea Ballerini + Surprises as Kenny Chesney Winds Down I GO BACK 2023

As the only country artist in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 14 years, doing a tour of arenas in markets where he got his start shows how much Kenny Chesney is about taking his music to the people. But it’s also been a demi-bucket list return to the intimacy and passion that defined No Shoes Nation from the beginning. And as the tour winds down, Evansville, Indiana proved it’s not the size of the audience, but the heart.

After a solid 60 seconds of cheers following “I Go Back,” it was obvious NSN had come for the music – and they were going to leave everything they had on the floor of the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Almost a decade since his last appearance at the basketball-centric venue, Chesney pulled out rarities, including “The Good Stuff” and “There Goes My Life,” which saw the fans deliver those songs back to the 8-time Entertainer of the Year like a prayer.

“You forget how much power those songs have – until you play them and feel the emotions they pull out of people,” Chesney says. “You can be so quiet you can feel your heart beat – and hear how palpable those feelings are that people have tucked up in your songs. It takes your breath away.”

Palpable, indeed. But that heightened emotionalism didn’t dampen the high spirits. Whether a second chorus of “American Kids,” after the song was over, the coming-of-age anthem “Young” or the full-tilt “Big Star” dedicated “to any girls out there who have a dream,” Chesney and his band were bringing it as hard as the audience was throwing it back.

And being so close to tour end, the pranks and surprises have already started. With a few nights off before their two-night stand at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 6-time Academy of Country Music, 5-time Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year and Chesney tour vets Old Dominion ambled onstage during the intro to “Save It For A Rainy Day” to surprise the clearly shocked headliner. Laughing at their still pulling pranks, it’s the first time that leader Matthew Ramsey was seen off his cane; he was enjoying the fun as the collected group also threw down a jubilant take on the Eagles “Take It Easy.”

“Nobody pulls one over on me,” Chesney laughed after. “My band and my crew can’t keep secrets, but they kept this one! And it was so good seeing those guys, having Matt and Brad (Tursi) who wrote ‘Save It’ up there with us. It shows what road family means, doesn’t it? They took a night off to prank us!”

Kelsea Ballerini, who’s spent the tour as Chesney’s special guest and performing their CMA and ACM Award-winning “half of my hometown” with him nightly, was also the recipient of some tour ending high jinks. Having given long time encore/play-off “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” a break for most of the I Go Back 2023 Tour, Chesney put it in for some playful vamping with the young woman who grew up in the same hometown Chesney did for a little bit of karaoke dreams come true.

Even more fun was the christening of Ballerini’s nickname, which appeared on a sign that was beamed to the packed arena. Half set-up for the next song, half good-natured teasing of a little sister, Chesney told the crowd how much Kelsea loves tequila – and then told the delighted crowd, “Her nickname is now ‘TeKelsea.’”; to which the young woman laughed and replied, “Well, I guess it’s gonna be a thing now.”

Highlights and good vibes permeated the evening. With 28 songs, including a few surprises, Chesney kept the crowd on their feet for over two hours. What just started is already winding down for the man who usually spends his summers in NFL stadiums across the country – the reason Variety called him “a stadium-sized superstar” – and every last moment feels like a memory to last a lifetime.

Presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum, I Go Back heads to Charleston, South Carolina then Orange Beach, Alabama. That final show at the Wharf is now a double, with tickets for Friday going on-sale 5/22 at 10 a.m. local time.

This 50th Anniversary Tour and release will represent that journey and the forks along that road.”

Metal titans KREATOR have released a video for the song 'Conquer And Destroy' from their highly acclaimed latest album, Hate Über Alles. ABOUT KREATOR

Decades into their game-changing career, German metal legends Kreator find themselves more successful and influential than ever. They’ve stuck to their guns, weathered the trends and outlasted their peers – never once wavering from the ferocious noise that excited them as teens. If anything, that thirst for sonic warfare is just as strong, if not stronger, today. Where others have suffered from creative malnourishment and artistic uncertainty, something which even metal’s biggest and best are prone to, Kreator have always charged full steam ahead – thanks to the red-eyed conviction and fearless determination of founding singer and guitarist Miland ‘Mille’ Petrozza. On 1985 debut Endless Pain, the Essen innovators created the template for extreme noise to come, fusing elements of thrash and black metal in ways that had never been heard before. Their sophomore album of the following year, Pleasure To Kill, became one of the landmark albums of 1986 – making metal history alongside key releases from Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. And onwards they marched, bringing hellish anthems to the masses in every album that followed, with a track record few could ever rival.

The last decade has been a particularly exciting time for the group, with 2012’s Phantom Antichrist proving how they could embrace modern production techniques and move with the times without forsaking the underground spirit and defiance which made them a household name in the first place. Its successor, 2017’s Gods Of Violence, saw them topping the German charts for the very first time in their career, a feat virtually unheard for a band of such thunderous intensity.

They returned this year with fifteenth opus Hate Über Alles – which marked their first studio album with Frédéric Leclercq (ex-Dragonforce, Sinsaenum) on bass, joining Mille, guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö and drummer Jürgen ‘Ventor’ Reil – the metal titans are once again channelling an unholy heaviness strong enough to tilt the earth off-axis.

A CLOUD OF RAVENS launch US tour dates with The Sisters of Mercy in support of 'Lost Hymns' album

“Their sound, though inspired by bands of their youth, is not rooted stubbornly in the past - their music feels of this time, with their messages transversing the cosmos” ~ Post-Punk.com

"Sonic luxuriance... racing at full velocity with tight-fisted riffs, cutting exactitude and danceability... a healthy reminder of the original and timeless allure of the post-punk sound and scene" ~ The Spill Magazine

“Dark poetry... rivet through their gritty and immediate sonic scheme, which feels pitch dark and hard as nails” – Destroy // Exist

"Perfect blend of an homage to the past & the modern construction of the future. A heroic journey through a desolate land" ~ Sounds and Shadows

“They play cold wave, they play post-punk, they are Gothic and they set to music some of the most striking lyrics you can find” ~ White Light // White Heat

NYC-based postpunk duo
A Cloud of Ravens have kicked off a string of US tour dates with UK goth-rock legends The Sisters of Mercy in support of their recently-released 'Lost Hymns' album and on the trail of European tour dates with Swedish label-mates Then Comes Silence.

Mastered by ACTORS'
Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound studio, this collection of 11 tracks was released via Nexilis Records / Schubert Music Europe.

Effectively merging classic and contemporary post-punk and darkwave sensibilities, their somewhat poetic use of prose and metaphor expressed the trials and joys of the world in which we now find ourselves. A Cloud of Ravens' previous
remix-based EP featured contributions by legendary producer John Fryer and such prominent artists as Clan of Xymox, ACTORS, Chris Vrenna and Ritual Howls.

Earlier, the band presented their latest single
'Parable' with a video that is as foreboding as the lyrics, following dark delights 'Requiem For The Sun', 'Nature of Artifice' and 'The Blackest Mantra'.

Formed in 2018 by Matthew McIntosh (guitar and vocals) and Beth Narducci (bass guitar), the Brooklyn-based duo emerged on the burgeoning dark music scene with a series of self-released offerings that garnered attention that led to their 2021 album 'Another Kind of Midnight', a mournful yet triumphant collection exploring the heart of a world amidst a devastating pandemic and torn by moral tribalism.

Growing up in a family of avid music lovers and her mother being a professional opera single, McIntosh arrived at this genre of music after ample explorations in the punk, death rock and hardcore scenes, finally forging the duo's trademark sound with Narducci, whose background is more connected with alternative rock and industrial music, as well as professionally supporting fellow musicians in the A&R field.

The 'Lost Hymns' album is out now, available from fine digital outlets, including
Apple Music, SpotifyAmazon and Bandcamp. Following these dates with The Sisters of Mercy, A Cloud of Ravens will share more North American dates with Clan of Xymox and Curse Mackey in late May and June.

Kenny Chesney's 2nd Helping! Adds Orange Beach Show on 5/26; On-Sale 5/22

With Kenny Chesney making it a little more up close and personal on his I Go Back 2023 Tour, the crowds have been loud, the shows freewheeling and the headliner has remembered who he was back when it was all falling into place for the 8-time Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year. With a platter of memories made and songs sung, the East Tennessee superstar decided that not one, but two nights would be needed to shut down his most intimate shows in almost a decade.

“It’s strange how much fun we’ve had this year,” Chesney says as the tour heads to Indiana this weekend. “It’s a completely different scale, but in a way, it intensifies the energy in a whole other way. We’ve got a roof over our heads, all that passion can’t escape – and it lets all the music really stick to you!

“We’re so used to ending on a double, it felt like the thing to do. And when I asked Louis Messina, our tour promoter, if there was a way to make this work at this late date, he said, there’s always a way... So, Orange Beach, Alabama: get ready for a two-night stand! We’re coming in hot – and we’re ready to play.”

Having just stepped up to headline the Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach, Florida on June 3 and the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on June 10, the only country artist to make Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 14 years isn’t quite ready to take it home for the summer. Having a little more freedom onstage to call audibles, move songs around, take requests and just jam, it truly has been a tour that harkens back to the moment when the East Tennessee songwriter was becoming a superstar.

“There is nothing like the energy when the scrim drops and you walk onstage at a stadium,” he offers. “But I have to tell you: there’s also nothing like the energy in these arenas when the crowd is pumping, they’re all one and they’re completely into the songs. It’s all contained in these venues, and you just feel the response moving through you like a freight train.

“I’m sorry about the short notice, but something tells me these tickets are gonna be gone as fast as we put ‘em up. I’ve had a long, crazy history with the people in Orange Beach – whether it’s all the years we’ve played the Wharf orthe year we took over the beach on the Florida/Alabama line and created something that’d never been done before – so if we’re going to do something like this, I can’t think of better people to do it with, or for!”

After one of 2022’s biggest tours in any genre – having the fifth biggest tour after Bad Bunny, Elton John, Mötley Crüe/Def Leppard and Harry Styles – I Go Back 2023 has been a massive success. Presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum with special guest Kelsea Ballerini, they’ve set attendance records, had special guests, pulled songs out of thin air and in a fraught world made the power of live music palpable for fans who live beyond the obvious major markets.

Tickets go on sale at
Ticketmaster on Monday, May 22 at 10 a.m. CT.

Sleep Token Release "Take Me Back To Eden" Today! + Share Visualizer for Title-Track — WATCH

SLEEP TOKEN RELEASE THEIR THIRD STUDIO ALBUM TAKE ME BACK TO EDEN TODAY! — LISTEN

SHARE NEW VISUALIZER FOR TITLE-TRACK "TAKE ME BACK TO EDEN"

Sleep Token have today released their third studio album, Take Me Back To Eden, via Spinefarm. Listen
HERE

Along with its release, the band has revealed the concluding visualiser in the albums accompanying animated series for title-track, "Take Me Back To Eden." Watch it below

RECENT PRESS:
"It's an ambitious, emotional monolith of a record, with all the hallmarks of future classic status" (5/5) — NME

"...if you allow yourself to be fully immersed in Sleep Token's world, the sonic rewards are plentiful" — Kerrang!

"Homer's Odyssey couldn’t help but envy the colossal journey this album takes" — The Skinny

"This is a record that not only expands the band's universe and continues to prod metal's boundaries, but considers what it means to be human. Otherworldly they may be, but there’s the deepest empathy within" — Metal Hammer

"This is the most inventive metal has sounded in a long time" — Upset

Take Me Back To Eden (an hour-plus of music across 12 distinctive tracks) is Part 3 of a trilogy, a spectacular chapter-closer in the ongoing Sleep Token saga — a saga that kicked off in earnest with  debut album Sundowning (2019).

...Eden features probably the heaviest moments thus far recorded by Sleep Token (i.e. "Vore" and "The Summoning"), along with some of the most immediate and certainly the most emotional (i.e. "Aqua Regia" and "DYWTYLM"), with a slew of other tones, textures, and tangents touched on in-between.

TMBTE sees Sleep Token boldly re-confirming a true love of the epic (the title track is eight minutes plus), while further exploring and developing those elements that keep the music removed from any kind of pack, howling at a moon that's all its own.

On the live front, Sleep Token are confirmed to appear as special guests to Slipknot across 2 shows in Hamburg and Berlin, while ST's entire upcoming U.S. tour, in addition to a one-off headliner in Germany, are completely sold-out.

A full list of U.S. appearances is below.

Meanwhile, available album tracks, "Chokehold," "The Summoning," "Aqua Regia," "Granite," and "Vore" have collectively amassed over 85 million streams, whilst standout single "The Summoning" has generated some 38.8 million streams alone, causing the track to trend on Twitter and take the #1 song spot on a host of international Spotify viral charts, as well as being selected as a "YouTube Trending Artist On The Rise," featuring on YouTube's homepage, viewed by millions of people every day.

The unprecedented accolades keep rolling in, between the fact that ST has never played a headline show in the UK that didn't sell out, "Aqua Regia" picking up consistent airplay on the Radio One "Future Sounds" show hosted by Clara Amfo, plus huge pop star Demi Lovato sharing Sleep Token's music with her 153 million Instagram followers, Sleep Token consistently smash boundaries that they refused to acknowledge in the first place.

And even though Sleep Token notoriously do not speak to the press (out of necessity, not ego or gimmick), media can't help but write about the phenomenon, reporting on the band's every move; NME note, "Sleep Token offer their fans an entire world to immerse themselves in if they so wish. It's a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that's dedicated to studying the band's creativity. While they have the same fervor as any other fandom, there's still a notable difference." Elsewhere, Metal Hammer called them "the most exciting band in metal right now."

Legendary Rockers TESLA Release New Album FULL THROTTLE LIVE on May 26, 2023

Legendary rock band TESLA will release their highly anticipated live album on May 26, 2023. The album will include "Time To Rock" plus others all recorded at Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis.

Pre-Order FULL THROTTLE LIVE!

https://lnk.to/tesla_fullthrottlelive

TESLA is a notorious band for one thing; being a high-energy, 100% live, kick-ass rock and roll band in concert! FULL THROTTLE LIVE captures this essence from a stop at the Sturgis Bike Rally in the year 2022 at the infamous saloon that hosts many motorcycle rock and roll parties, and this inspired the band to put on even more of a heavy show. Independently recorded, mixed, and produced by bassist Brian Wheat and guitarist Frank Hannon, this new live album truly captures TESLA in pure honest form and even dives deeper into their roots by recording a live version of the 1974 Aerosmith classic “SOS Too Bad” as a bonus track. The heavier song choices range from “Miles Away!” to more recent hard releases like “Time to Rock!” and “Cold Blue Steel”. But don’t worry there are old TESLA classics captured too like “Changes” and “Lazy Days, Crazy Nights” all recorded as TESLA is best..100% FULL THROTTLE LIVE!

“MILES AWAY” is the lead-off single release from TESLA’s new live album FULL THROTTLE LIVE! The guys chose to put this song out first because it represents TESLA and the new live album’s harder heavier sound. “MILES AWAY” is a fan favorite in concert with its heavy 6/8 rolling groove and blistering guitar solo. This is also an ironic song choice because the song lyrics are written about being a “rock star” on the road away from reality and missing home. Check out TESLA’s new live album FULL THROTTLE LIVE! You won’t be let down and MILES AWAY will take you there.

Due to overwhelming demand and following a sold-out opening weekend, legendary rockers TESLA have added five additional shows to their highly-anticipated TESLA: The Las Vegas Residency at House of Blues Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Celebrating their 36 years of entertaining rock audiences around the world, TESLA: The Las Vegas Residency will add five additional dates, beginning with Friday, Sept. 29, 2023.

During their exclusive residency, TESLA will touch all sides of their unique discography including the heavier edge of electric songs like “Modern Day Cowboy,” “Hang Tough,” and “Edison’s Medicine,” as well as their acoustic driven songs such as “Signs” and “Love Song” (two Top 10 Billboard charting hits).

“We are very excited to be able to perform consecutive nights residing at the same venue because we plan to dig into our catalog and change up our set lists for each show,” said Frank Hannon, TESLA lead guitarist. “This will make it interesting for our loyal fans who will attend in the spectacular city of Las Vegas!”

“We, in TESLA, are very excited to be doing our very first ever residency in Las Vegas, of all places, where Elvis did his residency,” said Brian Wheat, TESLA bassist. “We look forward to bringing the legacy of TESLA’S music to you all!”

Tickets for TESLA: The Las Vegas Residency at House of Blues Las Vegas start at $59.50 plus applicable fees. Tickets are available by visiting https://www.houseofblues.com/lasvegas, MandalayBay.com, Ticketmaster.com or by calling 702-632-7600.

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLAhelped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from TESLA include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000 and recently debuted their new single, “Time To Rock!”

WATCH TESLA - Official Lyric Video "Time to Rock!" (Live):

TESLA has endured many of the same taste-changing challenges that affected many in the post-grunge world, but through it all, their blue-collar work ethic and dedication to the faithful fan base has helped them not just survive, but thrive. TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

Scotty McCreery Celebrates New RIAA Certifications: 3X Platinum “Five More Minutes + Platinum “Damn Strait”

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery continues to reach new milestones as “Five More Minutes,” the first of five consecutive No. 1 singles, reaches RIAA Triple-Platinum Certification, while “Damn Strait,” the most recent of his back-to-back hits, reaches RIAA Platinum status.

“I’ve always said that ‘Five More Minutes’ is my favorite song I’ve ever written. For it to become my first Triple Platinum single means it has really connected with the fans, and as a songwriter that’s what you hope for,” said McCreery. “‘Damn Strait’ is one of the most fun songs I get to sing live each night. I’m excited to see the success of both of these songs recognized by the fans and the RIAA.”

Written by McCreery with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, “Five More Minutes” earned him one of five BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year and inspired two popular Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network holiday movies with “Five More Minutes” and “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These.”

The second single from his latest album Same Truck, “Damn Strait” was written by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins and spent three weeks at the top of both the Mediabase and Billboard charts, along with being named one of “The 10 Best Country Songs of 2022” by
Billboard.

McCreery’s current and fastest rising single of his career “It Matters to Her,” co-written with Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, continues to climb in the top 5 on the Mediabase chart and top 7 on the Billboard chart as he joins the Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour, continuing tonight at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, along with additional headlining shows sprinkled throughout the summer.

Earlier this month, McCreery surprised fans with the new digital track “Why She Gotta Be Like That” featuring Colombian singer/songwriter GUSI. The North Carolina native discovered the Latin sensation on social media performing his song “Why You Gotta Be Like That” and was struck with the idea for a duet between the two featuring both Spanish and English verses. Listen to the song
HERE and watch the video below , which premiered on CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com.

McCreery is also one of the artists featured in the new “American Currents: State of the Music” exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, on display through Feb. 4, 2024.

Daryl Hall’s ‘BeforeAfter’ Compilation on Vinyl for First Time

Daryl Hall’s ‘BeforeAfter’ Compilation on Vinyl for First Time

With more Todd Rundgren Tour dates, Joining Billy Joel in London’s Hyde Park

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall has an exciting summer lined up on a solo tour with longtime friend and fellow Fame inductee support act, Todd Rundgren, featuring a sold-out gig at the Eventim Apollo in London on July 9 after performing with headliner Billy Joel at the historic American Express BST Hyde Park two days earlier.

BeforeAfter, a three-disc compilation of his solo work, from 1980’s Robert Fripp-produced Sacred Songs through 2011’s Laughing Down Crying, co-produced with his longtime musical director, the late T-Bone Wolk, will be released for the first time on vinyl as a three-album set by Friday Music on May 19.

Compiled and sequenced by Hall, BeforeAfter features 30 tracks spanning all five of his solo albums, featuring six never-released performances from the pathbreaking web and television series Live From Daryl’s House, including a recording of the Eurythmics classic “Here Comes The Rain Again,” performed with longtime Hall compatriot, Dave Stewart, a harmony-laden version of Ruby and The Romantics’ “Our Day Will Come” and “Can We Still be Friends” with tourmate Todd Rundgren.

“I picked this collection of songs from my solo albums because I feel they encapsulate certain periods of my career.” says Hall. “It also shows the diversity of working with collaborators like Robert Fripp or Dave Stewart. And, having some tracks from LFDH on it, really makes the compilation complete.”

Hall’s solo tour gets underway May 24 at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ, and includes those two sold out shows in the U.K., one joining Billy Joel at Hyde Park, the other with Todd Rundgren at Apollo Eventim.

“So glad to be back playing in London,” said Daryl Hall. “I always have the best shows there.”

Wrote Jeremy Holiday in his BeforeAfter liner notes. “More than a chance to work ‘alone,’ Hall’s individual pursuits have granted him license to be more eclectic in his choice of collaborators and to push further outside the expected bounds.”

I See Stars Drop New Double Single "Anomaly" + "Drift" and Visualizers via Sumerian Records

I See Stars fans, rejoice! The band has today dropped a new double-single "Anomaly" + "Drift" as well as the accompanying visualizers. Speaking about "Anomaly", lead vocalist Devin Oliver shared:

"This track always sticks with me long after it has finished and, in the end, leaves me feeling both exposed and empowered. Anomaly was created from self-reflection and introspection during a time in my life when I was in and out of the hospital for 2 years battling a rare neurological disorder that led to me to chronic physical pain, headaches, & depression. It’s a powerful reminder to me that the clock is ticking and we must live on our own terms, true to ourselves and our values while battling the feeling of despair that comes when the world seems to be working against you. For a while I was grappling with the regret that I might have missed my opportunity and would be sick forever. No matter what is happening in our lives the most difficult battles we fight are the ones within ourselves. We hope that anomaly is a reminder that when the universe tests you, staying true to yourself is always worth the struggle."

When asked about "Drift", Oliver also commented:

"[This song] nods to the concept of our upcoming album. This song was written to be bipolar by nature, giving you no choice but to surrender to the ebbs and flows of your thoughts and emotions, pulling you in and out of focus. This song highlights a newfound sense of clarity in the wheel that we all submit to. It continues to spin in and out of a dark trip that provokes as it forces us to explore the murky depths of our minds and uncharted territories of our own psyche."

Stream "Anomaly" and "Drift" here, and watch the visualizers below.

About Dance Gavin Dance

Rejecting tired formulas at every step, Dance Gavin Dance merge progressive rock and post-hardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor. The group has amassed over 1.6 billion global streams, and 1.4 million album equivalent units sold across their catalog in the US alone. With hundreds of thousands of rabid fans engaged with Dance Gavin Dance on socials and their very own festival event, Swanfest, which sold out both its inaugural edition in 2019 and its triumphant, post-pandemic return in 2022 in the band's hometown of Sacramento last April and is now set to hit the East Coast for the first time, it all amounts to a full force band facing a mainstream that has overlooked them for too long.

As the undeniable statistics keep mounting up, the fact becomes more and more clear that Dance Gavin Dance are becoming one of this generation's most popular and enduring forces from the world of heavy music. As Pollstar put it "Sacramento, Calif.-based Dance Gavin Dance is not just any band."
