Chase Rice Brings "Way Down Yonder" to ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tomorrow, Jan. 12

CHASE RICE BRINGS “WAY DOWN YONDER” TO
ABC’S JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! TOMORROW, JANUARY 12

Forthcoming Album
I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell Set for Release February 10

Way Down Yonder Tour Kicks Off March 3

Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice returns to ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! with outlaw anthem “Way Down Yonder” tomorrow, January 12 from his forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, set for release February 10. Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35/10:35pm CT on ABC.

“When we wrote this song, I had the mountains of North Carolina where I grew up in mind; all the moonshining history there in the Appalachians,” recalls Rice. “Then all of a sudden during the recording process, Rob McNelley started playing this crazy carnival sound on the acoustic… and it got Western quick. That turned it from a song I didn’t think was even going to make the cut for this next album into one of my favorite songs on the project.”

The song was recorded along with the rest of the upcoming album during a two-week period at Rice’s farm outside Nashville, with producer Oscar Charles and a live band using a makeshift recording environment to capture a pure, raw style unlike any of his previous studio projects.

Featuring 13 tracks ranging from admiration of a Western way of life in recent releases “I Hate Cowboys” and “Way Down Yonder” to emotional reckoning in “Key West & Colorado” and a reimagined album version of “If I Were Rock & Roll,” I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell also honors Rice’s late father, Daniel, with its cover art.

“My dad was one of those good guys you read about – tough, hardworking, always helping other people out,” Rice shared of the man gracing the album cover. “I try to live my life in a way that would make him proud. I haven't always measured up to that, but I get closer to that man I want to be and the man he’d be proud of every single day.

“Making this album was a big step towards that musically, too,” he continued of the project for which he served as a writer on all 13 tracks, including three solo writes. “Not only is it the most vulnerable I've ever been, it’s also something he’d enjoy listening to and is full of stories I wish I could tell him. I’ve always wanted to honor him by using this photo as an album cover, and I know this project is the one that deserves that. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Last week, Rice brought one of the title tracks to “Good Morning America,” performing the television debut of “I Hate Cowboys.” Watch his performance HERE.

Fans will also get to hear the new music live on Rice’s upcoming Way Down Yonder Tour, set to visit iconic venues such as Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre from March 3 through July 1.

About Chase Rice
With nearly 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.4 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio, his sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, as evidenced by recent releases “Key West & Colorado” and “Way Down Yonder.” The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the triple-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and Jason Aldean plus stadiums with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice also consistently sells out venues across the U.S. and Europe on his own headlining tours.

Pre-order POWERWOLF's special album, 'Interludium', and check out various available formats HERE

POWERWOLF are undoubtedly one of the most celebrated and successful heavy metal bands of the last decade. Multiple #1 album chart entries, gold and platinum records, huge sold out arena shows, as well as headline slots at the biggest festivals have paved their way. In less than 20 years of band history, POWERWOLF has made it to the very highest league of heavy metal.

Just in time for the highest Christian holiday, Easter 2023, the special album 'Interludium'will be released on April 7, 2023. It features six new studio tracks, including the single "Sainted By The Storm", which was already celebrated on the band's exhilarating Wolfsnächte 2022 headline tour, as well as one of the most intense tracks in the band's history, "My Will Be Done". 'Interludium' also features gems and rarities from the band's history such as “Midnight Madonna” and “Living On A Nightmare”.

'Interludium' comes in several editions, most of them containing another exciting surprise: the bonus album, 'Communio Lupatum II', where eleven befriended bands like Eisbrecher, Electric Callboy, Korpiklaani and Rage cover some of the biggest hits of POWERWOLF’s career.

More limited versions also contain the second bonus album 'Interludium Orchestrale', containing eight orchestral versions of the album tracks.

About POWERWOLF:

The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of the efforts of one of the most hard-working and entertaining live band on the heavy metal planet.

POWERWOLF have secured a remarkable collection of gold and platinum awards, starting in 2015, when they reached Gold status for the first time in the Czech Republic with their album, 'Blessed & Possessed'. Additionally, both 'Preachers Of The Night'(2013) and the subsequent masterpiece 'The Sacrament Of Sin' (2018), as well as the groundbreaking streaming event 'The Monumental Mass: A Cinematic Metal Event'(2022), entered the German album and DVD charts at #1 (a massive achievement for an audio-visual release).

The thrilling DVD, 'The Metal Mass', (2016) also secured the #1 spot on the German DVD charts. Most recently, the new studio album, 'Call Of The Wild', entered the album charts at #2 (and staying for 16 weeks in the charts) while the hit single "Dancing With The Dead" went gold and platinum. The Best Of album, 'Best Of The Blessed', released in 2020, also successfully entered the German charts at #2.

POWERWOLF achieved massive success as they headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances on the almost completely sold out Wolfsnächte headline tours (2019 & 2022), as well as numerous summer festival shows in which crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the wolves and their unique, (un)holy metal mass. Beyond many others, they’ve also headlined Wacken, Masters Of Rock, Summer Breeze – all massive live successes.

Once POWERWOLF performs the new studio album, 'Call of the Wild', for the first time ever, at their long-awaited debut North American shows, as well as the Easter mass in Cologne – with 'Interludium' the whole world will be completely under the sign of the wolfpack once again!

Shock Rock Movie Filmmakers Release Extended Trailer

Shock Rock Movie directors, LORD ZANE (SOCIETY 1) and DAGON DESTROYER, have just released an extended trailer. The public can now watch 7 minutes and 25 seconds of footage now available on Youtube.

Familiar faces you’ll see in the film’s trailer are DAVE NAVARRO, JACOBY SHADDIX (PAPA ROACH), KELLY CLARKSON, ALICE COOPER, and WAYNE STATIC (STATIC-X).

The film follows the life of MATT “THE LORD” ZANE, notorious front-man of SOCIETY 1, who is known for his extreme on-stage antics, including body suspension, live orgies, face humping hecklers, and stage masturbation. At one point, Matt Zane was the most famous porn director known for his Backstage Sluts films, which solds millions of copies worldwide. Matt Zane would go on to break several world records, including suspending from 4 meat hooks at Download Festival while he performed with his band in front of a hundred-thousand people.

DAGON DESTROYER (film co-director) comments, “Matt Zane is a character that has always fascinated me. The entertainment industry hates him, and yet celebrities use him for their careers. I’ve seen documentaries on shock rock and shocking performance artists, and Matt Zane is never mentioned. It’s like he’s purposely ignored in an attempt to erase him from history.”

MATT ZANE mentions in the film that the moral landscape is so different now than it was 20 years ago, and that he’s worried about how the band will be received during their 2023 reunion tour.

"The band is getting millions of views on TikTok for stage antics we just won't replicate in today's political climate. I know some things will cross the line but others I'm not so sure about. It's difficult to know how far we're going to be able to push it in 2023."

A part of the movie will be filmed on SOCIETY 1’s tour with STATIC-X, FEAR FACTORY, and DOPE in 2023.

The filmmakers are currently working with their distributor on the
film’s release date.

About Hootie & the Blowfish
With the rich, bluesy vocals of Darius Rucker and gleeful harmonies of guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, Hootie & the Blowfish have sold over 25 million records worldwide to date after their infectious melodies hit the airwaves in 1994 with hits such as “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” The quartet met at the University of South Carolina where endless gigs at frat houses and local bars built a major local buzz. Their blend of pop, folk, blues, soul and rock made them hard to pigeonhole, but easily accessible to anyone who loved good music.

Atlantic Records, impressed by their regional draw, signed them and released Cracked Rear View in 1994. The album had been out for six months before the band played on the “Late Show with David Letterman” which sent sales skyrocketing, eventually landing at No. 1 on the Billboard chart the following spring. Cracked Rear View and the band went on to win two GRAMMY Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and multiple People's Choice Awards. Cracked Rear View also earned the band Billboard's Band of the Year Award in 1996 and the RIAA's Diamond Award for sales in excess of 10 million units. At 21x Platinum, Cracked Rear View remains among the Top 10 best-selling studio albums in music business history.

The band remained a top draw nationwide following their debut and released five more albums for Atlantic: Fairweather JohnsonMusical ChairsScattered, Smothered & CoveredHootie & the Blowfish and The Best of Hootie & the Blowfish, as well as Looking For Lucky on their own Sneaky Long Records and LIVE in Charleston, The Homegrown Concert Event DVD and CD. The band took a break from full-time touring in 2007, reuniting annually for a variety of philanthropic events while also pursuing solo projects. 2019 marked the band's first full-time touring year in over a decade as they embarked on the sold-out Group Therapy Tour in support of Imperfect Circle, released in late 2019 under a new record deal with Universal Music Group’s Capitol Nashville.

NYC's Gramercy Arms share Magic Door Session for 'Yesterday's Girl', previewing 'Deleted Scene' LP

"Gentle and perfectly arranged, it is both calming and genuine, straightforward and talented, giving space and voice everywhere that the song and its story requires. A hidden Americana-indiepop gem, Gramercy Arms show that music truly is a journey"~ The Spill Magazine

"A slice of mature, soulful pop, gentle and refined, a swirl of gorgeous boy-girl harmonies, laced with elegant guitar lines and the perfect balance between a slightly nostalgic then and a now calling out for such astute, chart-friendly pop. A future classic" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Melancholic yet radiant, emotively shadowed but joyfully rousing, Yesterday’s Girl swiftly and keenly had the body swinging and pleasure bubbling, its melodic jangle and rhythmic kneading just as magnetic" ~ Ringmaster Review

To kick off the brand new year, NYC indie rock outfit Gramercy Arms is releasing an acoustic performance of their Americana-tinged single 'Yesterday’s Girl', recorded live at the Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ.

'Yesterday's Girl', a bittersweet remembrance of love lost and friendship regained, is the first single from their 'Deleted Scene' album, scheduled for release via the Magic Door Record Label in spring of 2023. The colorful video for the album version was directed by acclaimed visual artist Debora Francis.

Co-written by Gramercy Arms frontman Dave Derby and music legend Lloyd Coleand originally penned for Darlene Love’s solo album 'Introducing Darlene Love', the song was artfully reimagined by Derby and producer Ray Ketchem as a duet with Derby and Renée Lo Bue (Elk City, Flowers of America).

Gramercy Arms is a revolving New York-based collective of musicians and artists, masterminded by Dave Derby (The Dambuilders, Lloyd Cole). Inspired by the artistic heyday of ‘70s and ‘80s-era New York City, Gramercy Arms makes addictive indie pop - exquisite hook-laden melodies filled with lyrics that will have you floating back in time, remembering your favorite mistake.

Produced, recorded and mixed by Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Elk City) at Magic Door Recording with additional recording by Lloyd Cole, this album was mastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty, Bill Frisell, Todd Rundgren).

“As I recall, we wrote very quickly hoping to channel Springsteen channeling Spector, with copious help from Blanton’s of Kentucky,” says Lloyd Cole.  “I’d completely forgotten it until Dave presented this version and it feels like I won the lottery. It is wonderful. Very happy to have my name in the credits."

Renée Lo Bue discusses recording the song: “Being asked to sing 1/2 of the lead part on "Yesterday's Girl" was a wonderful surprise. I showed up at Magic Door Recording prepared to do backing vocals. It was Ray Ketchem who suggested a duet during the session. It's an honor to sing the female lead part on a Lloyd Cole/Dave Derby penned song originally written for Darlene Love …”

Lyrically driven and rich on vocal-harmony, interspersed with elements of 60s sunshine pop and folk-rock, 'Deleted Scene' is the group’s third full-length album, following 'The Seasons of Love' (2012) and 'Gramercy Arms'. This star-studded affair involves members of Guided by Voices, Phillip Glass Ensemble, The Dambuilders, Nada Surf, Luna, Elk City, Aeon Station, The Little River Band, Lloyd Cole and the Negatives, Elk City and Joan As Police Woman, among others.

'Yesterday's Girl' is out now, available across online platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, as well as Bandcamp, where the album can be pre-ordered.

HORRENDOUS Completes Work on New Album, Announces U.S. Live Dates

Progressive death metal entity HORRENDOUS has completed work on their fifth studio album, which will be released later this year by Season of Mist! More info will be revealed soon!

Additionally, the band will be performing a slew of shows in the United States, including appearances at Subterranean Dissonance Fest in Philadelphia, PA and Northwest Terror Fest in Seattle, WA! The full itinerary can be found below! Fans who attend these shows will get an exclusive first look at the new album as HORRENDOUS will be performing several new tracks!

HORRENDOUS will be following up 2018's 'Idol,' which was named one of the best albums of 2018 by Pop Matters (#4), Invisible Oranges (#5), Metal Injection (#9), Revolver Magazine (#24), Decibel Magazine (#28), and Pitchfork.

'Idol' also found itself scoring several placings across the U.S Billboard charts, peaking at #16 Current Hard Music Albums, #25 on the Heatseekers chart, #55 on the Record Label/Independent Current Albums chart, and more.

'Idol' can be ordered, streamed, and downloaded HERE.

HORRENDOUS Live U.S. Dates:
02/10: Brooklyn, NY @ Saint Vitus [TICKETS]
02/11: Philadelphia, PA @ Subterranean Dissonance Fest [TICKETS]
05/25-27: Seattle, WA @ Northwest Terror Fest [TICKETS]

Drawing inspiration from both personal and national crises, 'Idol's' music is a methodical and unapologetic take on dynamic, progressive death metal. The album sees HORRENDOUS at the highest echelon of  their musical creativity to date. Thematically, the ambitious new album is an exploration of defeat, of the gods we build in our minds to escape the responsibility of action and change as we relinquish our agency. The music in 'Idol' mimics this act of deity building, with sprawling compositions that are imposing in scope and mirror the great turmoil of our times. Tracks such as "Soothsayer," "Golgothan Tongues," and the monumental "Obolus" position the band in a league of their own, as one of the death metal's leading new entities.

HORRENDOUS formed in 2009. The band's three founding members (Damian Herring - guitar, vocals, Matt Knox - guitar, vocals, Jamie Knox - drums), driven by a desire to capture and rekindle the mystique of a bygone era in the history of metal, fused elements from progressive metal, old school death metal, and more, into a cohesive sonic landscape. These initial compositions resulted in the of release their debut full-length 'The Chills' in 2012. The album received critically acclaim upon release, and was cited as "a preposterously flawless debut album. The old school just got schooled." (Metal Injection).

Following the release of 'The Chills', HORRENDOUS began to expand upon their traditional death metal leanings, conjuring a bolder, more sophisticated musical approach from a wide-cast net of elements beyond the limitations of any genre. This lead to the back-to-back releases of 'Ecdysis' (2014) and (after relocating to Philadelphia,) 'Anareta' (2015). Both albums were incredibly well-received by both the heavy metal underground and critics alike. Each successive record marked a new step in the sonic evolution of the band and carried them further on their adventurous journey of musical awakenings.

Upon the release of 'Anareta', HORRENDOUS saw significant acclaim from mainstream music journalism, as the record was championed as "stunning" by Pitchfork, "A momentous and unconventionally poignant achievement... Anareta is death metal painted not with just reds and grays, but with the palette of human experience." (SPIN), and saw the band "fearlessly reaching skyward, peeling off guitar leads that climb like clock towers or church steeples: intricate constructions resulting in monuments that are breathtaking to behold from afar, and almost impossible to believe when examined up close." (Stereogum)

'Anareta' went on to top many best-of lists in 2015, making appearances in Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, SPIN, Decibel Magazine, Apple Music, Yahoo Music, and countless other publications, blogs, and websites.

Homicidal Ecstasy follows 2021's Tortured Whole. The band continues to slice up uncompromising, in-your-face, and not-for-the-weak death metal that siphons inspiration from early to mid- '90s and early '00s death metal and brutal death metal/grindcore presented in their own style with a unique twist that pleases every style of metal maniac.

ABOUT SANGUISUGABOGG + HOMICIDAL ECSTASY:
"Everything became more legit," states vocalist Devin Swank about the new album. They're no longer that band of meme-inspiring miscreants. "The musicianship, the production, the lyrics – which delve much more into horror and body horror – are more thought-out," Swank continues. "It's not just a bunch of dick and fart jokes."

But the 'Bogg haven't gone soft.

"After lockdown, once the restrictions from COVID lifted, we were hungry not just tour but start writing again," Swank shares. "Ced [Davis] had moved from bass to guitar and Drew [Arnold] also started playing guitar." It was drummer Cody Davidson who once again helmed production duties for Homicidal Ecstasy. They handed off mixing duties to Converge guitarist and vaunted studio vet Kurt Ballou (High on Fire, Nails) at God City Studios in Salem, Massachusettss, who "made it sound like us on steroids," per Swank.

After releasing Pornographic Seizures in 2019 on the cult Maggot Stomp label, the foursome quickly won fans for their blasts of sludgy, determined riffing, tongue-severed-from-cheek, gross-out humor and nods to hardcore and '90s East Coast death metal. The band received a pile of plaudits including Brooklyn Vegan putting them on a Most Anticipated Albums list next to genre titans like Carcass.

In the face of COVID-19 and a worldwide shutdown, the 'Bogg got down to business. Signing to Century Media, they recorded Tortured Whole and hit the road as the locked-down world started to get on its feet. Later that year, they teamed with the infamous Troma Films collective on for two video clips that featured battling penis monsters, boner implants and Troma's own Sgt. Kabukiman!

Tours with Frozen Soul, Nile, Terror, The Acacia Strain, and a run of dates as main support to Cannibal Corpse leading into Decibel's Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia solidified Sanguisugabogg as a force in their own right.

But Homicidal Ecstasy isn't merely a musical maturation for the gore-obsessed boys of the 'Bogg. While Swank's lyric writing sessions are still "fueled on coffee with a horror movie playing in the background," this isn't exclusively the gross-out show of Sanguisugabogg past. "It goes deeper this time, into the psycho-sexual, body-horror, why what some people see as perverse or fetishistic, can also be perfectly normal," says Swank.

"It's kind of an homage to real life," says the frontman. "When shit hits the fan, no one's really safe."

Reconstituted, regurgitated, and reenergized, the 'Bogg walk among us.

Let the Homicidal Ecstasy begin!

NITE Announces Headlining February U.S. Tour

Blackened heavy metal outfit NITE will be embarking on headlining tour of California this February with support from Persekutor! The trek kicks off in Oakland, CA on February 16 and will work its way downstate, concluding in San Diego, CA on February 19.

NITE is touring in support of their brand new sophomore full-length, 'Voices of the Kronian Moon,' which was released on March 25, 2022. During the album's first week, it charted Billboard's Current Hard Music Albums (#33) and Top New Artist Albums (#44). The album was also named among the best albums of 2022 by Invisible Oranges (#19).

'Voices of the Kronian Moon' is available to stream, order, and download HERE.

NITE U.S. Dates (w/ PERSEKUTOR):
02/16: Oakland @ Elbo Room Jack London
02/17: Long Beach @ Supply & Demand
02/18: Hollywood @ Knucklehead [TICKETS]
02/19: San Diego @ Brick by Brick [TICKETS]

The San Francisco Bay Area has a history steeped in forward-thinking, technically dazzling metal, and NITE carries that torch with pride. Founded in 2018, their blackened heavy metal brand barrels towards the peril of an unknown future, while keeping one eye on the days when blistering leads once ruled the land. Guitarists Van Labrakis (Satan’s Wrath, Mencea) and Scott Hoffman (Dawnbringer, High Spirits) let loose galloping riffs and harmonies that evoke the classic sounds of the N.W.O.B.H.M., with Labrakis’ grizzled voice driving their dark, melodic metal into the modern era.

With Avinash Mittur (Wild Hunt) replacing founding bassist Bryan Coons in early 2021, he and drummer Patrick Crawford (Serpents of Dawn, Older Sun) make up a rhythm section that’s fierce yet breathlessly precise: a freewheel pounding reminiscent of the early days of heavy metal, with a Rickenbacker-powered roar fueling the low end. NITE’s debut full-length Darkness Silence Mirror Flame, released in March 2020 by Creator-Destructor Records, earned widespread praise. It showcased their fist-raising classic heavy metal that nearly every fan of the genre once fell in love with, but with a twisted and shadowy edge that the titans of old could never imagine. NITE is the flame of the past illuminating the darkness of tomorrow.

In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show in 2019. Their latest self-produced album, Tornillo, available everywhere now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, features the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and follows their fifth studio album, Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 1.5 million albums and amassed over 2 billion streams while earning six RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned synch success with features (and an on-screen appearance) in Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team.” USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stonenoting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

The Intemperate Sons Release Official Music Video for Single "Unrealized"

"Unrealized" can be streamed at:

https://ffm.to/tisunrealized

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released their new single "Unrealized" to all major platforms! The single is from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released via FRAME|WORK in 2023.

"The first cut off the upcoming album, Game of Keep Away is called “Unrealized”. The Intemperate Sons once again teamed up with Amir Derakh at the producing and mixing helm to work on this track and the second album to be released in 2023. “Unrealized” is the story of being trapped within the walls of your mind and the self-destructive ways you end up keeping yourself there while everyone around you sees your potential. The Intemperate Sons will follow up the single release with a new video on 1/6/2023 that was filmed by Ardent Owl Media and Ryan Whitehead. The track was recorded at The Kitchen Recording Studios in Dallas, TX. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K. " says the band.

Formed in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, The Intemperate Sons are an up-and-coming alternative rock band that are a cool concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge. The band has earned a serious reputation of writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the groove of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness to their writing style. Their music has a total retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. Their heavier retro style sits perfectly under the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their sound. The Intemperate Sons are a family band with its members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars), and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) all being related by blood. Mark Marks provides the groove at bass to tie it all together. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies, and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and REM.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

Rice Also Adds 13 New Dates to Headlining Way Down Yonder Tour Kicking Off March 3

Praised by American Songwriter as “one of Country music’s most intriguing and lasting acts,” Chase Rice brought one of the title tracks off his forthcoming album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, to viewers nationwide with the television debut of “I Hate Cowboys” on this morning’s edition of “Good Morning America.” Watch his performance HERE and stream the song on all platforms now.

With “I Hate Cowboys” serving as an ode to how enviable true cowboys are, the official music video released today also offers a visual homage to cowboy culture. Showcasing vintage rodeo footage – including scenes of the great Lane Frost, Tuff Hedeman and Chris LeDoux – the video also features Rice performing the song from the iconic Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo arena. Watch HERE.

Featuring 13 tracks ranging from admiration of a Western way of life in recent releases “I Hate Cowboys” and “Way Down Yonder” to emotional reckoning in Key West & Colorado” and a reimagined album version of “If I Were Rock & Roll,” the forthcoming album set for release on Feb. 10 also honors Rice’s late father, Daniel, with its cover art.

Fans will also get to hear the new music live on Rice’s upcoming Way Down Yonder Tour, set to visit iconic venues such as Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre from March 3 through July 1, with 13 new dates added today.
