SYGNAL TO NOISE TO TOUR IN 2023 AS PART OF COLD’S “YEAR OF THE SPIDER: 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR”

New England melodic hard rockers Sygnal To Noise will be hitting the road with Cold, as part of their “Year of the Spider: 20 Year Anniversary Tour” (as part of a bill that also includes performances by Divide the all, Awake for Days, and Death Valley Dreams). The dates will run from March 17-May 29 throughout the US. The band just issued their latest album, ‘Human Condition,’ last June via Dark Star Records, while the single “Let Me In” hit the top 100 Billboard Radio charts, and its video can be viewed here:

“To say we are excited for this tour is an understatement!,” says the band. “Being fans of COLD for many years. This is a huge honor for us! Our goal is to help make this tour fun for everyone that buys a ticket and attends.”

“Cold is a great band!,” adds singer Coopa. “I am personally honored to be a part of this tour. I think what STN will bring to the table is a ride of emotions. Comprised of members Mark Cooper (Coopa)- Vocals/Guitar, B808 – Drums, Dave Pike – Guitar, Christopher Skehan – Guitar, and Breanne Powell (Breezy) – Bass, the group’s mission is to help bring rock ‘n’ roll to modern fans and back to its former glory on mainstream radio once again. Sygnal To Noise has been greatly inspired and influenced by bands like Queen, KISS, Alice Cooper and David Bowie, for their showmanship and visuals with a blend of such bands as Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam for their songwriting and vocal styles.

CLOAK Announces U.S. Tour, Offers New Album Update

Atlanta black metal outfit CLOAK will be embarking on an early 2023 tour throughout the East Coast in support of IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT! The trek will kick off on January 31 in Clifton, NJ and will conclude on February 10 in Chesapeake, VA. The full routing can be found below!

Unyielding darkness and brutality emerge from the deep south of the United States. Atlanta, GA based quartet CLOAK blend the sounds of black metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and homegrown Southern sludge to create their own unique and menacing sound.

Their debut full-length, 'To Venomous Depths,' (2017) was met with critical acclaim upon its release. Due to overwhelming demand, Morgan Wallen announced today the addition of 14 new shows across 13 cities, with back-to-back nights at 10 stadium shows, one of the largest tours of 2023. The man praised by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” last year will bring his 58-show One Night At A Time World Tour to 26 stadium shows, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to fans across four countries and two continents in his biggest tour yet.

Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDYbefore returning stateside on April 14 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, before wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally.

Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs on his recently released One Thing At A Time – Sampler: “One Thing At A Time”; which Billboard noted “teems with shades of ’80s pop” while Country Now applauded its unique sound, stating “[it] takes on a slightly different approach from the other two tracks as it features a bit more buoyancy in its raw melody.” The other two tracks on the sampler include “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” All three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” co-written with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, currently sitting Top 20.

As on his Dangerous Tour, $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart and, to-date, has supported organizations such as Greater Good Music by donating over 500,000 meals-and-counting, to Children Are People, the Salvation Army and National Museum of African American Music.

TRAUMA ANNOUNCE US TOUR WITH QUEENSRŸCHE & MARTY FRIEDMAN

Bay Area thrash metal band Trauma have announced a US tour with prog metal vets Queensrÿche early next year – running from March 3rd through April 16th.

Also on the bill will be guitar shredder Marty Friedman, with Spotify presale and local presale beginning on Wednesday, December 7th at 10am local time (and running until Thursday, December 8th at 10pm local time).

Public sale will begin on Friday, December 9 at 10am local time.

“Everyone in Trauma is thankful for the opportunity to be touring all across the US with Queensrÿche on their ‘Digital Alliance’ tour,” says the band in a statement. “Trauma is very excited to be a part of this tour.”

Originally formed in 1981 in San Francisco, Trauma was one of the first heavy metal bands – along with Exodus, Metallica, and Testament – to trailblaze the style now known as “thrash.” And the thrash metal band’s original bassist was none other than the late/legendary Cliff Burton (who would later join Metallica). 1984 saw the release of the group’s debut album, ‘Scratch and Scream,’ before the band parted in 1985. But in 2013, Trauma reunited, and have been back in business ever since.

The group’s current line-up consists of singer Brian Allen (who replaced original vocalist Donny Hillier, who sadly passed away in 2020), Steve Robello (guitar), Joe Fraulob (guitar), Michael Spencer (bass), and Kris Gustofson (drums). – and soon, will be rocking the metal masses on their US tour with Queensrÿche and Marty Friedman.

Kenny Chesney couldn’t believe it had been four years since he and his band stood on America’s NFL stadium stages – and rocked No Shoes Nation for everything they were worth. Chesney’s longtime manager Clint Higham told Billboard for “The Year In Touring Issue” that posted Dec. 6, “The people of No Shoes Nation are such intense fans, the being together after four years created its own energy and momentum. We found ourselves adding seats in so many markets trying to meet the demand because whether it was the people who’d held their tickets for over 1,000 days in many cases or the people buying those new tickets who felt the buzz and wanted to be there, it was a whole new level of demand based on what Kenny gives people.”

"From the first play through of the chord progression of 'Victory or Death,' we knew where it needed to go lyrically. It sounded like hope. It sounded like empathy. Carrying the stories of freedom fighters who were forgotten, perhaps never known, or far too often had their legacies softened, made out to be less radical and safe for American History books.

"This song stands as homage and a testament to the people who've laid the groundwork for progress. Using all within their sometimes limited power to alleviate suffering, challenge the status quo of violence, and demand a reckoning with societal norms that further marginalize and exploit people.

"In spirit with the concept behind Lies They Tell Our Children, we were leaning hard on and embracing our inspirations as a band. Touring with Die Toten Hosen in 2008 was an eye-opening experience. One that has stuck with us through the years. So it only made sense for us to reach out to Campino to see if he had interest in being a part of this track. Not only was he willing to sing the verse we wrote for him, he also penned his own in German. Our hearts and minds were blown away by it.

Norwegian rock n' roll warriors Wig Wam have announced they will release their new studio album, 'Out Of The Dark' on February 10, 2023.

Coming on the heels of renewed, enthusiastic interest in the band thanks to their classic track "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" being used as the theme song for HBO's popular Peacemaker television series, 'Out Of The Dark' sees an already extremely talented band feeling truly reinvigorated and inspired.

"We came out of the pandemic and had a pretty rough 'rebirth' doing a comeback in the midst of this dark period of live music. The album is, of course, also a 'happier' album, even though some of the song lyrics reflect on darker themes in our society, but they all have one thing in common: A positive outcome. Never giving up," explains vocalist Åge Sten Nilsen of 'Out Of The Dark'. 

Wig Wam, vocalist Glam (Åge Sten Nilsen), guitarist Teeny (Trond Holter), bassist Flash(Bernt Jansen), and drummer Sporty (Øystein Andersen), formed in Halden, Norway in 2001 and have been mixing '80s inspired glam metal with classic hard rock, with entertaining lyrics and over-the-top imagery thrown in, to create a good old fashioned rock n' roll vibe for over two decades.

In 2005, the year after the release of their debut album (first titled '667.. The Neighbour of the Beast' and later changed to 'Hard To Be A Rock N' Roller'), the band had their first international breakthrough when they represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest, placing ninth with the song "In My Dreams". The band would go on to release three more studio albums, 'Wig Wamania' (2006), 'Non Stop Rock 'N Roll' (2010), and 'Wall Street' (2012) before splitting up in 2014.

The band would reunite in 2019 and work on a new album, 'Never Say Die' that was released in early 2021. In 2022, the band had a stroke of good fortune when film/television director James Gunn selected their 2010 song "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" (from the album 'Non Stop Rock 'N Roll') as the opening theme song for the HBO Max show Peacemaker starring John Cena. The show, based on a DC Comics character, showcased the band to a whole new audience who had been previously unaware of them and has seen the band taking on renewed interest and booking more and more live dates around the world.

Over 75 years ago in December of 1945, Bluegrass was born on the famed Ryman stage when a young banjo player named Earl Scruggs joined Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys on stage for the first time. As they combined harmonies, upbeat tempos and a new sound referred to as “high lonesome,” the result was a new, energetic sound of country music that lifted crowds from the Ryman’s historic church pews to their feet. “Bluegrass” was born, and the Ryman became forever known as the “Birthplace of Bluegrass.” The venue honors Monroe’s legacy with a life-size statue on site, unveiled in 2017. After sitting vacant for nearly two decades after the Grand Ole Opry relocated to its new home, the Ryman underwent renovation and reopened its doors on June 3, 1994. Now more than 25 years later, the Ryman continues to celebrate bluegrass music’s contribution to music history with artists and fans alike.

New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") — Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums], and Paul Gregory [guitar] — are serving up 'Welcome Home Part 3' today, December 1, via Spinefarm.

"Welcome Home Part 3' was super fun to write because all three of the tracks ultimately sound so different from one another," Varela states. "I also worked with other writers, such as Charlotte Sands, for the first time. That experience was sick! It helped to unearth a creative side that I didn't even know I had."

The band also shared an unofficial and intimate performance video for "D34D." Watch it Below and witness Varela's intensity as a performer and the song's melodic heft.

The 3-song EP features a trio of brand new songs. It follows 'Welcome Home Part 2', which is a Spanish-language version of songs from the band's latest album 'Welcome Home', which is out now.

ABOUT VRSTY:

'Welcome Home' is the band's debut full length for the label and follows last year's breakthrough 'Cloud City' EP, which has accumulated six million streams in less than a year and yielded the head-turning singles "Shameless" and "Massive." Morgan Wallen admittedly treats his tours like an athlete approaching a new season, so when the East Tennessean wrapped his wildly successful 55-city Dangerous Tour on Oct. 8, no one expected he’d come with a line-up of more shows this soon. Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDY before returning stateside on April 15 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, before wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs dropping tonight at midnight on his One Thing At A Time – Sampler: “One Thing At A Time”; “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” Together, these three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” cowritten with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, currently sitting Top 20 as his latest No. 1 “You Proof” returns to the top of the charts for a rare sixth, non-consecutive week atop the Country Airplay chart.

With a staunch fan following building on the heels of his Westwood 2022 Tour, Wyoming-native and truth-teller Ian Munsick takes his SiriusXM The Highway single --written with songwriters Philip Eugene O'Donnell and Aby Gutierrez and featuring special guest and two-time CMA winner Cody Johnson – and turns its notion into a celebratory national tour: Long Live Cowgirls 2023 Tour. With a voice Raised Rowdy calls “the best falsetto in country music” on full display, the tour compliments news of a forthcoming sophomore album by Munsick is slated for early ’23 on Warner Music Nashville.

"'Long Live Cowgirls' is more than just a song. It's an ode to a lifestyle that, until recently, has been a mystery to the masses," reflects Munsick. "Those who have chosen to live the vigorous, unglamorous, western way of life are rarely recognized for it. In fact, that's usually why they choose to live that way. Miles away from the burdens of modern society with only the natural world to give them praise. I think country music listeners resonate with that. Kicking off at the legendary Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas on Jan. 20, the tour will make stops in strongholds Fort Worth, Texas; Knoxville, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana and more before wrapping the first leg of the tour in Georgia on March 16. "We're hitting a ton of places we've never played before this winter/spring,” explains Munsick. “That's probably what I'm most excited about. There's nothing in the world quite like the first time you play in a city or town and have no idea what's gonna happen when you hit that stage. Sharing that first time energy with the crowd is something that only happens once."

From the recently-released, fiddle-laden “Horses & Weed” to faith-driven story-song “More Than Me” –the howling, authenticity-dripping western country singer promises more quality storytelling to come.

Munsick recognizes a similar free-spirited country in contemporary honky-tonk sparkplug, “I Smoke Weed” (with Brothers Osborne) and “Make It Past Georgia” -singer Ashland Craft, inviting the South Carolinian to join his Cowgirls trek. Her Travelin’ Kind debut album previously secured the songwriter inclusion on CMT’s coveted Next Women of Country list and opening ahead of Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.

On touring with Ashland Craft, Munsick shares, "Anytime an artist asks if they can go on tour with just a guitar and a microphone, you know they're the real deal. Ashland Craft is a badass. After 4 top 50 Active Rock singles with Candlelight Red, Jeremy Edge launched The Jeremy Edge Project in 2020 Making a departure stylistically with more blues-based, guitar-based rock.

After extensive gigging in 2021 including dates with Lita Ford, Jackyl, Randy Hansen, Derek St Holmes and Gary Hoey, Edge and crew are back with their sophomore effort Saints and Souls, being released in two volumes. This record was more than a year in the making, recorded and mixed in different locations and is in the spirit of the classic rock and blues albums that first inspired Jeremy to play. The album contains artwork and lyrical imagery inspired by New Orleans and some of the stories and folklore surrounding it. It is named as a tip of the hat to the Haitian traditions of "All Saints Day" and "All Souls Day" as a means of celebrating life and those who have passed. There is a recurring theme of light and dark and a struggle to overcome adversity. Some are personal stories, some are about modern times, and some are based on fiction and folklore but all have this recurring theme.

The band is rounded out by John DeLowery on bass and Ray Gieda on drums with guest appearances by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Black Country Communion) playing keys on "Move On" and "Hellride", with select tracks mixed by Kevin "Caveman" Shirley (Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Joe Bonamassa, etc…). Richmond's hard-charging, metal maniacs MUNICIPAL WASTE have released a new video for "Crank The Heat" featuring appearances by IRON LUNG, SICK OF IT ALL, WARTHOG and more! Directed and produced by David Brodsky and Allison Woestof My Good Eye Visuals (Clutch, Cannibal Corpse, Gwar), the clip follows the band and friend's wild shenanigans in the back of a NYC taxi.

Since 2001, MUNICIPAL WASTE have uncompromisingly stuck to their guns as hard-partying and even harder-hitting torchbearers of 21st century thrash metal. The Richmond, VA quintet—Tony Foresta [vocals], Ryan Waste [guitar], Philip “Landphil” Hall [bass], Dave Witte [drums], and Nick Poulos [guitar]—have transformed from a cult favorite into metal mainstays for a generation. Along the way, Decibel touted "The Art of Partying" in its coveted “Hall of Fame” and asserted it “revved up interest in thrash and inspired a fresh wave of youthful new bands.” Metal Hammer christened "The Art of Partying" one of “The 50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Ever,” while Loudwire pegged "The Art of Partying" as “The Best Thrash Album of 2007” and "Hazardous Mutation" as “The Best Thrash Album of 2005.” The guys have sold out countless shows on multiple continents and piled up tens of millions of streams in the process. 2017’s "Slime and Punishment" bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, and "The Last Rager" EP only accelerated their momentum in 2019.

Municipal Waste maintain course as vicious and vital as ever on 2022’s "Electrified Brain" [Nuclear Blast] as heard on tracks like "Grave Dive," "High Speed Steel" and "Crank The Heat." Recorded during the pandemic in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk [Power Trip, Code Orange], the sessions would be the first time the band reunited in person after a year. Together, they achieved “a thicker and heavier sound.”
