LORNA SHORE’s New Album “I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me” Out Today

Lorna Shore’s first new album in three years, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, is out today via Century Media Records, alongside a highly emotional new music video for “Glenwood.” It visually captures the song’s overarching narrative: Vocalist/lyricist Will Ramos’ personal journey to reconnect with his estranged father. See the gripping music video, directed by Dylan Hryciuk, Below.

Ramos says of the new track, “This song has been a very long-time coming for me. In my teens, my father and I never had a great relationship. We’ve had countless fallouts and it got to the point where we hadn’t spoken to each other in many, many years. I’d written songs in my teens and early 20s about him and my frustration but nothing really helped fill the hole I felt inside. There were just too many mixed emotions. As time went on, I came to realize that, despite my anger, all I ever really wanted was to go back to the home I grew up in. For that reason, I decided to knock on his door and try one more time to get in touch with him.”

He adds, “‘Glenwood Ave’ was the name of the street I grew up on. I remember my father always telling me, ‘I’m the tree, you’re the branch.’ The day I saw my father (for the first time in who knows how long), I quickly realized something. He wasn't the same person I remembered. He’d aged, had wrinkles, and a full-head of white hair. The tree that I remembered growing up next to was gone. The house inside was the same as I remembered but… older… dustier; and it felt… strange. As time seems to fly by for me, it also does for my father. And in all my parting, I never stopped to think about how much time actually went by. I spent my youth being so prideful and stubborn. I never even considered that as I was aging, so was he. I’ve had countless chances to fix things but wasn’t brave enough to actually do it. And now, I will never be able to get that time back. I wanted to capture that feeling when I wrote this song. My only hope is that when people hear ‘Glenwood,’ they can think about their own lives and the people they’ve pushed away and ask themselves: ‘Is it really worth being upset for this long?’ I believe all we really want is to go back to that special place – a place where nostalgia triumphs over trauma; a place that we can call home.”

“Glenwood” follows the release of “Oblivion,” “Unbreakable” and “Prison Of Flesh” from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me. As Lorna Shore’s fifth album and the first in three years since 2022’s explosive Pain Remains, it continues the band’s reputation as one of the most impressive extreme metal acts to emerge in recent memory.

The quintet, also including lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor and bassist Michael Yager, have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, Lorna Shore have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.

I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me is now available in multiple formats including digital, CD and limited-edition vinyl variants. Fans can stream the album HERE and find their preferred physical and digital retailer HERE. Fans can also shop a merch collection, available HERE.

Lorna Shore will bring tracks from I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me and other hits on the road beginning September 17, joined by The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow Of Intent and PeelingFlesh in a tour produced by Live Nation. Tickets are on sale now.

Prepare yourselves as the carnival doors creak open once again, and the music of the shadows will echo forever.

The twisted carnival is back—and this time,

the shadows sing.

The theatrical dark-metal visionaries RAVEN BLACK have released their brand-new full-length album,

BLACK SONATA, arriving today, Friday September 12, 2025. Known for blending heavy riffs with a gothic fairytale aesthetic, RAVEN BLACK is set to deliver their most cinematic and bone-chilling opus yet—an album that dives deeper into the macabre, weaving a symphony of beauty, horror, and unrelenting power.

About BLACK SONATA

Meet RAVEN BLACK, a theatrical metal act originally from Los Angeles. Their unique brand of metal, influenced by gothic, classical, and heavy metal music, serves as the soundtrack to vocalist Raven's duality as she shares her story of being a hybrid of both dark and light.

Drawing from a myriad of musical inspirations, RAVEN BLACK expertly blends elements from their favorite art forms, including movies, ethnic backgrounds, and personal life experiences. Each song is crafted to take fans on an adventure, offering new perspectives and understandings. Their sound ranges from melodic to dark, fun to raging and psychotic—yet every track tells a story.

At the heart of their narrative lies a comic book character: a girl whose innocence was taken at a young age. Overcoming her demons and cursed by her predators, she discovers she is half human, half doll. The doll within her is dark, and as she embraces her inner darkness, she travels with her demons who protect her from those seeking to steal her inner power.

She is the key.

Garmarna Winners of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest

For the past three decades, Garmarna have won equal praise from metal heads and folk lovers. On their seventh and most recent album, the Swedes continued to weave traditional medieval tales with rock, pop, dance and other modern-day inventions, alongside executive producer Christopher Juul from Season of Mist labelmates Heilung. In 2021, Förbundet was nominated for Folk Album of the Year by the Grammis. Now, four years later, its opening song is taking home a different award.

Today, Garmarna are proud to announce that "Ramunder" was selected by The John Lennon Songwriting Contest as the Session I Grand Prize Winner in the World category. The prize package for this award includes a Taylor acoustic-electric guitar and more than $4,000 in recording equipment.

"It's a great honor to receive this award", says Garmarna, who were selected as a finalist by the same contest in 2021 for their song "Dagen Flyr". "John Lennon and The Beatles pushed the envelope on what you can do in just about every field of the music business. Throughout our 35 year career, we've always aimed to do the same by mixing traditional Swedish ballads with contemporary influences. We always try to stay curious and bend the rules, with feet firmly planted in the ballad tradition".

While they've always pulled from the darker chapters of Swedish folklore, "Ramunder" claims the crown as Garmarna's most chilling tale. Reimagined by razor-sharp acoustics, distorted grooves and a stomping drum beat, the opening of Förbundet sets a rather bloody scene with the tale of a warrior that destroys his enemies purely for the sake of his own enjoyment.

However, "Ramunder" isn't all doom and gloom. Anders Norudde saws his moraharpa with devilish delight. The Swedish multi-instrumentalist, composer, carpenter and violin-maker is a member of Hedningarna, the fellow groundbreaking Swedish folk band who were an early inspiration for Garmarna.

Next year, Garmarna will face the Session II Grand Prize Winner in a public vote to determine the overall winner for the World category.

When asked about how fans have responded to their different influences and diverse output over the years, Stefan cannot definitively say because their followers are seemingly fluid in their tastes as well. “Sometimes we’ve thought the audience will hate the new stuff, all jungle beats or house or pop or whatever,” he says. “The audience is a mix of metal heads, folk enthusiasts, hipsters, and just casual music lovers of all ages. Along the way, they have seemed to like what we do! We know that a lot of people wished the return album 6 would have been a bit more traditional, but then a lot of people also praised it for being 'so much GARMARNA' in the sense that it took an unexpected turn somewhere new.”

Their loyal acolytes should be pleased with 'Förbundet', and they will likely draw in new converts as well. You're next.

Ponte Del Diavolo Release Roadburn Live Video

Last year, Ponte Del Diavolo made their mark by bridging the gap between two nefarious corners of the underground on their fiery debut album. Fire Blades from the Tomb welds doom and black metal into a towering, twisted new wave of dark art that's as cruel and mesmerizing as their native Italy's infamous Devil's Bridge.

As they prepare to unfurl their next deadly creation, today, Ponte Del Diavolo are releasing a new video from their mesmerizing performance at Roadburn. Weaving enchantments of synth, theremin and clarinet into their ritual dance with death, "Covenant" burns with newfound intensity when stoked by the fiery response from this year's festival crowd.

Watch Ponte Del Diavolo perform "Covenant" live at Roadburn 2025 Below’

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO bridges the gap between two separate worlds.

The Italian band proposes a Doom / Black metal sound with old-school roots, adding a modern and outside the box background. The female voice - with strong dark wave influences - is the lyric corpus of this strongly esoteric project. The solid presence of two bassists creates the massive foundation for the rhythmic guitar, everything marked by a raw and dynamic drumming.

Mystery of Mystery / Secret Live Session marked the quintet’s debut EP. It was recorded live and without editing at Dracma Studio with the producer L’Ossario in their home base of Turin in March 2020. "I" was released on the web by Iopan Records. It was soon followed by their second single, "The Wickedest Woman In the World".

At the end of 2021, Ponte Del Diavolo recorded their second EP, Sancta Menstruis at Deepest Sea Studio in Turin with Danilo Battocchio. The first single,  "The Unborn", arrived in February 2022.

The band's third EP, Ave Scintilla!, was also recorded in Turin. This time around, they reconvened at Dracma Studio with L'Ossario.

Now that they've signed with Season of Mist, Ponte Del Diavolo are ready to release their debut album. Fire Blades From the Tomb  forgesclassic, cultish doom metal with modern bents of post-punk. Lead single and opening track “Demone” is whipped along by a boiled black bass line and dark-wave induced vocals.

Prepare to cross over into the Italian dark arts.

UK-based electronic artist Max Rael (History of Guns) presents 'Almost' from debut album

British electronic artist Max Rael presents 'Almost', a powerful and introspective track that explores the gut-wrenching feeling of being on the brink of success, only to have it slip through your fingers. It’s a raw look at the best-laid plans—whether in love, career, or life in general—and the crushing disappointment that comes with defeat.

This is the latest taste of Rael's debut solo album 'The Enemy Is Us', released via London imprint Liquid Len Media. Capturing the moment when hope gives way to anger and self-blame, a feeling many of us know all too well, this is a track for anyone who has ever dared to dream, only to be left to pick up the pieces.

Showcases his singular talents, unique twists on sound design, and unique lyrical perspectives, Rael's powerful thought-provoking spoken-word lyrics confront a world in freefall—its corruption, alienation, and misery. Conflating a painfully personal portrait of an interior world, this is an achingly universal depiction of society and the world outside. Unearthing a resilient core of hope and gallows humour that burns brightly through the darkness, this is a complex and compelling take on the human condition.

"I wrote 'Almost' about the anger that comes from failure, especially when you've put everything on the line. I wanted to explore the idea that when things don’t work out, that anger can so easily turn inward. It’s a commentary on that self-defeating spiral where you start to question your own right to hope in the first place. This song, along with the music video, is about finding a way to release that frustration in a safe way, a way that doesn’t turn into self-punishment," says Max Rael

"The music video visually represents this theme of suppressed anger and release. Inspired by Stu Francis, host of early 1980's UK children's television program 'Crackerjack' and his classic catchphrase "Ooh I could crush a grape," the video features the repeated motif of fruit being squashed. This act serves as a metaphor for finding a healthy, acceptable way to vent your frustrations rather than internalizing them. It’s a commentary on the small acts of release we can use to prevent our anger from becoming a destructive force."

Based in Hertfordshire, Max Rael is a key creative force in the UK underground, beginning with 1990s-2000s electro-goth trailblazers History Of Guns, frontrunners of the Wasp Factory / FuturePunk scene, and later, Decommissioned Forests. Musician, writer, actor, engineer and producer, Max Rael has collaborated with Fish (Marillion), Last July, Kommand + Kontrol, Freudstein and Bienheldenschafgegenstand

A dark bouquet of minimalist synth, darkwave and spoken-word electronic pop, Rael's album introduces his compelling ‘futuretroist’ sound: an alternative sonic universe built on a unique sound design that feels at once familiar and alien. Rael recently released the video for  'Pressing Against The Glass', a danceable elegy for those who don't "belong", channelling the deep-seated ache of being an outsider.

Rael's earlier shadow-streaked 'Slightly Less Than Human' is a nervy electronic track with a great hooky synth melody and spoken word vocals. Partly inspired by Japanese author Osamu Dazai. Lyrically, Max Rael relays his feeling of being somehow different from the rest of the human race, while the non-album B-side 'When the Only Winning Move Is Not to Play' relates to the 1983 film "War Games" and the book 'The Games People Play' by Eric Berne.

Max Rael's debut single 'Brighter Future', released in April, explores avoidant strategies of coping with life in a seemingly increasingly chaotic and unsafe world and an anticipated dystopian future. The B-side 'The People We Love Have Won (Persistence Is All)' is darker, named after Coil's 2000 London performance at The Royal Festival Hall (which he also tattooed on the inside of Rael's left wrist).

Spoken word, electronic music and loud drums feature strongly on the 12-track album, produced and mixed by Max Rael with additional mixing by Caden Clarkson and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Pixies. Nine Inch Nails).Fusing a range of electronic music styles with other genres, Max Rael is a master journeyman of existential exploration into humanity, self, society, reality, psychology, philosophy and the future.

'The Enemy Is Us' is out now, available from fine digital platforms, including Apple MusicSpotify, Amazon, and Bandcamp.

TALLAH Unleash Brand New Album 'Primeval: Obsession // Detachment'; Drop New Music Video For "depleted"

Genre-defiant nu-core disruptors Tallah release their most ambitious work to date—Primeval: Obsession // Detachment, a fully live-tracked, sci-fi concept album that pulls listeners into a world of collapsing morality, split identities, and sonic chaos. Out now via Earache Records, the album’s release is accompanied by a brand new music video for focus trackdepleted,” one of the album’s strangest and most textural songs. Stream the album HERE and watch the music video for 'depleted' below.

Shot among rusted rebar and yellow-jacket swarms, the “depleted” video captures the dystopian atmosphere of the record’s second act - wild, decaying, and haunted. Sharing more on the experience, vocalist Justin Bonitz shares

“Despite all the dust, yellow jackets, and rusty rebar, this was one of the coolest locations we have ever shot at. There was so much to explore, and it really captured the vibe/aesthetic we saw in our heads when listening to the song. Derek Rathbun (director) made everything so easy and streamlined, so the shoot felt a lot shorter than it actually was. ‘Depleted’ is one of the weirdest songs on the album, and we were hoping the video would match the same energy. Have fun listening!”

Primeval: Obsession // Detachment was recorded live in Michigan with producer Josh Schroeder using no clicks, no edits, and no safety nets. Like its four predecessors “What we know”, “A primeval detachment”, “augmented" and "as fate undoes" also ties directly into the album’s layered sci-fi narrative. The concept follows two characters, Ana and Sheelah, on a morally destructive journey across an alien world. Fans can dive deeper into the lore through The Primeval Game, a playable story-world that’s updated monthly with new clues, song teasers, and narrative expansions. Explore the game, built in collaboration with Enzo Interactive at primevalgame.com

Primeval: Obsession // Detachment stands as Tallah's most ambitious and uncompromising work to date. Weaving sci-fi storytelling together with deliberately imperfect performances, Tallah prove that human instinct still has power in an increasingly artificial landscape.

Following today’s release, Tallah will play a select run of album release shows this month before hitting the road this fall in support of King 810, kicking off November 3 in Lawrence, KS. The tour was sparked after the band’s longtime producer Josh Schroeder played King 810 frontman David Gunn an early preview of Primeval.

“David Gunn hit us up after Josh Schroeder showed him our new album,” says bassist Max Portnoy. “Both bands share a love for raw, live recordings, so he was super into what we were doing and invited us to join the tour. We were stoked since we’ve been into King for as long as we’ve been a band.”

Tickets for all shows are available HERE. Full routing below.

ABOUT TALLAH

Emerging from Pennsylvania in 2018, Tallah fuse the percussive force of second-generation drummer-turned-bassist Max Portnoy with the unpredictable dexterity of vocalist and viral phenom Justin Bonitz and the phenomenal guitarist duo of Derrick Schneider and Alex Snowden to form a sound that’s part brutalist nu-metal, part theatrical meltdown, and entirely their own. What began as a raw homage to the early-2000s metal they were raised on—Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park—has since evolved into something far stranger and far more singular.

After making waves with their 2020 debut 'Matriphagy', a twisted concept album soaked in trauma and noise, the band were hailed by Knotfest as delivering “one of the best metal releases of the year” and by Metal Hammer as “leading the charge on the new wave of nu-metal.” The follow-up, 'The Generation Of Danger' (2022), saw them push their hybrid sound further into chaos—earning millions of streams, high-profile festival slots, and nominations at both the Heavy Music Awards and AIM Independent Music Awards.

But it’s on album three, 'Primeval: Obsession // Detachment' (out now via Earache Records), that Tallah truly shatter what’s left of the mould. Decamping to Michigan to record the entire project live with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the band abandoned edits, clicks, backing tracks, and rules. What remains is pure instinct—feral, volatile, and unrelentingly human.

Conceptually, the record unfolds across a sci-fi narrative that follows Ana, a nurse, and Sheelah, an assassin—two strangers manipulated by a shadowy force and driven to the edges of their morality. The mirrored structure, warped sonic callbacks, easter eggs and ambiguous lyrical layering reflect a story full of tests, dualities, and spiraling identity shifts.

To date, Tallah have clocked up 29.7 million Spotify streams and 6 million YouTube views.

OUT NOW - Dreams Of Gray - A Beginning

Emerging from the shadows of grief, reflection, and the raw beauty of metal, DREAMS OF GRAY returns with their new EP, A Beginning, set for release on September 5th, 2025. Based in Chicago, IL, this one-man project helmed by Luis Rivera first turned heads with the 2023 debut The World After—an independent release that earned praise from the global metal press. Critics from highlighted the debut's sharp songwriting, emotional weight, and its fusion of melodic death, doom, and thrash metal. Now, A Beginning builds upon that foundation and pushes the project’s boundaries even further.

Though DREAMS OF GRAY began as a solo endeavor, Rivera has always surrounded himself with top-tier collaborators to bring his compositions to life. On A Beginning, he is joined by Maria Kosma on bass, Nicole Trinchero on drums for the title track, and Scott Elliot, who handled drum programming on "Beyond the Sky" and "Across the Endless Sea" while also contributing engineering, mixing, and mastering to both. Meanwhile, Josh Middleton took on engineering and mixing duties for "A Beginning", as well as mastering the track. The result is an EP that feels cohesive but unpredictable, aggressive yet melodic, and deeply personal without ever losing sight of metal’s cathartic power.

The EP opens with "A Beginning", a track that embodies the thematic and sonic range of the release. It flows from haunting melodies into crushing intensity, shifting gears between clean vocals and growls, mid-tempo movements and furious headbanging riffs. Its lyrical content wrestles with existential grief—how the living cope with loss, and what unresolved questions remain after someone we love is gone. Rivera's performance here is dynamic, moving between softness and fury, crafting a song that challenges convention but never forgets to move the listener.

"Beyond the Sky" follows as the EP’s most direct track—a high-energy explosion rooted in death metal and thrash. It’s an anthem for the live stage, but beneath its furious pace is a meditation on the soul’s journey through eternity. The song blends brutal riffs with melody in a way that fans of IN FLAMES, AMORPHIS, or DARK TRANQUILITY will appreciate. Here, Rivera asks the big questions: What lies beyond this life? What does peace look like for a restless soul?

Closing the EP is "Across the Endless Sea", perhaps the most dynamic composition in the DREAMS OF GRAY discography so far. While it offers some of the EP’s fastest passages, it never sacrifices melody. In fact, the chorus showcases new approaches to Rivera’s clean vocals—experimental, memorable, and emotionally resonant. There’s even a trace of black metal’s influence in the guitar textures, cleverly reworked to serve the EP’s broader melodic vision. Lyrically, the song explores the interconnectedness of life—how we are all part of a web that links the living with the departed, and how each of us carries others forward across our own seas.

What sets DREAMS OF GRAY apart is not just the fusion of genres—from melodic death and doom to thrash and heavy metal—but Rivera’s refusal to create throwaway music. Every riff, every lyric, and every vocal line is deliberate. There is elegance within the aggression, clarity within the chaos. His music invites you to headbang, yes—but also to reflect, to feel, to connect. Lyrics are intelligible by design, encouraging listeners to engage deeply rather than just react sonically. A Beginning isn’t just a collection of songs. It’s a statement of intent: that melody, melancholy, and metal can coexist with integrity.

This EP arrives after a journey as unpredictable as the music itself. Outside of metal, Luis Rivera is a Family Medicine Physician—an artist with a scientific mind, balancing a high-pressure career with a relentless drive to create. Formerly an electrician and a member of ABOLISHER (a band with acclaim in Metal Maniacs and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles back in 2002), Rivera took a long pause from music to pursue medicine. Now, with that chapter stabilized, he returns fully committed to his artistic vision.

For those who long for a new voice in melodic extreme metal—one that remembers the spirit of PARADISE LOST, the introspection of OPETH, and the energy of SLAYER—DREAMS OF GRAY offers something vital, something that sounds familiar yet undeniably new. With A Beginning, this project redefines what it means to start again.

About DREAMS OF GRAY:

DREAMS OF GRAY is the melodic extreme metal project of Chicago-based musician and physician Luis Rivera. Blending elements of melodic death, doom, thrash, and traditional heavy metal, the music is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically intense. Founded in 2022, DREAMS OF GRAY quickly made an impact with the independently released debut EP The World After in 2023, earning critical acclaim across the international metal press.

Known for its compelling fusion of melody and heaviness, DREAMS OF GRAY stands out for intelligent songwriting, deeply human lyricism, and an uncompromising creative vision. Rivera’s music confronts themes of loss, grief, resilience, and existential reflection—delivered through dynamic vocals and powerful, layered instrumentation.

Now joined by a cast of talented collaborators, DREAMS OF GRAY continues to evolve with the upcoming EP A Beginning (2025), a bold and immersive follow-up that further refines the project’s genre-defying sound. Whether you’re drawn to the introspection of OPETH, the melodic fire of IN FLAMES, or the weight of PARADISE LOST, DREAMS OF GRAY offers something uniquely honest and unforgettable in today’s extreme metal landscape.

ABOUT SWOLLEN TEETH

The sound, the look, the atmosphere, the lore. Swollen Teeth are as much a ritual as a performance, summoning primal ferocity in clouds of intrigue with a thundering rumble. Each musical outburst arrives shrouded in mystery, enveloped by a sense of dread, with passion and purpose. Heavy percussion, riffs, punk gang chants, dive bombs, turntables, breakdowns, shrieks, guttural screams, and powerfully unashamed anthemic melodies coalesce in Swollen Teeth. The collective absorbs the raw intensity of the most potent subculture and spits it back with a determined uniqueness. They’ve spent countless hours in the lab, lobbing out occasional missives online like Molotov cocktails. Each of the scattered, chopped-up, and explosive clips unleashed to the world, culled from a handful of shadowy live appearances, built anticipation for the group’s inevitable ascension. They travel in our dimension but are not of it. This is otherworldly chaos without apology.

Swollen Teeth burst onto the scene in 2021 with their self-titled EP, a visceral blend of brutality and raw emotion that garnered praise from heavy music outlets and fans alike. Singles "EMPTY", "LETHAL" "CAR CRASH" and "SWOLLENTEETH" showcased their unpredictable, frenetic energy, which Revolver Magazine described as "brutal as hell." with Metal Hammer enthusing that "there’s an air of grotesque nu metal nastiness that feels like a re-vamped take on the misanthropic nihilism of Iowa’s finest." and Kerrang! musing "What's really heavy, masked, mysterious, sounds like it was made by complete lunatics, and involves Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson?."

NAILED TO OBSCURITY - Release Video For 'Glass Bleeding' + New Album "Generation Of The Void" Is Out Now!

NAILED TO OBSCURITY have released a video for 'Glass Beeding', the latest single from their fifth studio album, Generation Of The Void, which is out now via Nuclear Blast Records! In celebration of the album's release day, an atmospheric music video is being released alongside the single. Scroll down to check it out.

Dynamic album opening track 'Glass Bleeding' offers a preview of the stylistic variety that Nailed To Obscurity have perfected with Generation Of The Void, shifting with ease between hard-hitting death metal passages, ethereal clean parts and anthemic sing-alongs.

With Generation Of The Void, NAILED TO OBSCURITY have crafted their most mature and expansive album to date. The album reflects the turmoil of the post-pandemic era, the shadows of war in Europe, and the relentless changes affecting all of humanity. Beyond its political and social commentary, the album also dives deep into personal struggles, confronting themes of dark emotions, depression, and fear. Every note, every lyric carries the weight of uncertainty and disillusionment, while no one knows what one will find within the void or beyond.

NAILED TO OBSCURITY commented:
“We are beyond excited that our new album Generation Of The Void is finally out today. It feels amazing to share not only the singles you’ve already heard, but also all the other songs that complete the journey. We can’t wait for you to dive into the full record and discover everything we’ve been working on.

Alongside the album, we’re thrilled to unveil the brand-new video for 'Glass Bleeding'. We chose this track to open the record because it perfectly introduces what’s to come - moving from mellow, moody atmospheres into crushingly heavy riffs and blast beats. It sets the tone for the entire album and paves the way for everything that follows.

ABOUT NAILED TO OBSCURITY:

Formed in 2005 by guitarists Jan-Ole Lamberti and Volker Dieken, NAILED TO OBSCURITYstarted their journey as teenagers with an uncompromising vision. They released their independent debut Abyss in 2007, proving their resilience in an industry where many bands fade before they rise. With lineup evolutions in the early days and sonic transformations, the Germans honed their melancholic yet crushing sound, which reached new heights with Opaque (2013) and King Delusion (2017), released via Apostasy Records. These albums marked the first steps from a local underground act to a serious, globally touring band, following the arrival of vocalist Raimund Ennenga in 2012.

By 2018, NAILED TO OBSCURITY had earned a place among the greats, signing with Nuclear Blast and unveiling Black Frost in January 2019, an album that solidified their identity and positioned them on some of the biggest stages in Europe and North America. With bassist Lutz Neemann joining in May 2024, replacing long-time member Carsten Schorn, the current lineup was completed.

In 2022, NAILED TO OBSCURITY released the singles 'Liquid Mourning' and 'Clouded Frame', both of which are featured on Generation Of The Void. These tracks provided a glimpse into the band's evolving sound and set the stage for what was to come.

Now, after years of meticulous crafting and relentless touring, Generation Of The Void emerges as the next chapter—a visceral and evocative testament to the times.

LANIE GARDNER RELEASES POWERFUL SOPHOMORE ALBUM FADED POLAROIDS, AVAILABLE NOW

After a milestone year that included her Grand Ole Opry debut, her first national TV performance on the TODAY Show, recognition as a “2025 Artist to Watch” by the Recording Academy/GRAMMY and Amazon Music and a Riser of the Month honor from Apple Music in addition to being named to CMT’s Next Women of Country: Class of 2025, Lanie Gardner today releases her highly anticipated sophomore album, Faded Polaroids, via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Listen to the album HERE.

The 18-track project is a bold, deeply personal collection produced by Oscar Charles, Jonathan Singleton, Chris Ganoudis, Katie Cecil, Carlo Colasacco, Mick Fleetwood, Ryan McMahon, and Don Miggs. Expanding on the raw honesty of her 2024 debut A Songwriter’s Diary, Faded Polaroids offers a sonic scrapbook of self-discovery, family roots, romantic twists, and personal healing. Gardner blends country storytelling with indie-rock grit, small-town pop, and boundless emotion, creating a sound that is wholly her own.

The album features the nostalgic and emotionally charged title track, “Faded Polaroids,” alongside fan favorites “High Divin,” the rootsy anthem “Love You Like Appalachia,” the emotionally charged “Concrete Cowboy,” and the windows-down groove of “Takin’ The Slow Ride.”

Faded Polaroids is like opening a box of old photos — some crisp, some faded with time,” shares Gardner. “It’s a reminder that the simple things matter most, and every moment shapes who you become. I wanted this album to feel unfiltered and true.”

This release follows Gardner’s Polaroids EP earlier this summer, which included standouts “Buzzkill” and “Hold Your Horses.” Already named a SiriusXM Highway Find, Gardner is establishing herself as one of country’s most exciting breakout artists.

Gardner continues to earn praise and high-profile collaborations across the Country music landscape. Her recent duet “What Could Go Right” with Thomas Rhett remains a fixture on top country streaming playlists and recently hit #1 on SiriusXM, while her heartfelt team-up with Warren Zeiders on “Loving in Letting Go” showcases her emotional depth and vocal power.

Gardner will bring Faded Polaroids to life on the road this summer and fall, supporting Gavin Adcock on select stops as well as Thomas Rhett at an upcoming stop on his tour. Visit laniegardnermusic.com for ticket information.

The EP follows a run of successful singles that set the stage for this moment. With over 1.3 million streams on Spotify alone and a fast-growing audience of more than 80,000 unique monthly listeners, REVNOIR's rise is turning heads.

Since officially unveiling the project in September 2023, REVNOIR — comprised of Maxime Rodriguez-Medallo, Julien Ho-Tong, Robin Leneutre, and Kaz Nakazawa — have already left a lasting mark. Their explosive live energy was on display supporting Future Palace across Europe and during their sold-out Paris headline show at La Maroquinerie (550 capacity) earlier this year.

Now, REVNOIR are gearing up for their biggest step yet: Joining Coldrain as main support on their massive UK/EU headline tour 2025, performing in some of the biggest venues of their career so far. View dates here.

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: surprise Drop From Vianova — LISTEN

Berlin metalcore eccentrics Vianova have today surprise-dropped their debut album HIT IT!, along with a wild music video for new single "Squier Talk" via Arising Empire, following a week of leaking their material via OnlyFans. The quartet's lack of convention and creative appoach has rapidly catapulted them to becoming one of the fastest growing acts in modern metalcore, and their ascension to the top is set to be wholly realised with the release of one of the most brilliant, characterful and quirky metal albums of 2025.

Watch "Squier Talk" below.

Stream HIT IT! here.

The official pre-order for all physical formats and exclusive merch bundles, live worldwide from October 3, is here

Vocalist Alexander Kerksi comments, "It's only once in a lifetime you get to drop your debut album and we couldn't be more exited about releasing HIT IT!, our love letter to the past, the present and the future of music.

"Throughout the record's story, told through our music videos and social media 'minisodes' we have played on crazy gameshows, swapped our gender, and were stripped of our identities. 'Squier Talk' concludes this visual odyssey with us arriving at the headquarters of the 'biggest record label in the world,' Intergalactic Records, where we are confronted with the harsh surreality of the music industry. It's also the record's opening track, launching you into the sonic rollercoaster that is HIT IT!

"If you like tight, poppy song structures, polished commercial metalcore, and lyrics that talk about 'being pulled into the abyss/getting stabbed in the back,' this album is... not for you. So, HIT IT!"

The "Squier Talk" video is also the latest installment of the Vianova soap opera, told across episodic social media reels, shortform video, and a series of creative music videos accompanying the album's singles.

The story follows the surreal rise of a caricatured version of the band from studio grind and quirky side hustles into full-blown, Kill Your Friends-esque chaos. The band hustle on a wild game show, cruise through night-time Berlin in a vintage Mustang, and even swap genders in a dreamlike twist. After shooting with metalcore's top director, they're shockingly replaced by doppelgängers, only to be scooped up by the fictional Intergalactic Records. In the penultimate chapter of the story, in true Vianova fashion, they leaked clips of their own album on OnlyFans, turning the music industry inside out with a mix of satire, spectacle, and raw creativity. "Squier Talk" sees the conclusion of the story (for now), as Vianova's expectations of "making it" and the stark realities of the music business collide with comedy and poignancy in equal measure.

Vianova have already gained traction in the UK as shown by their sold out their London headliner at 229 in August, and being hailed as one of the highlights of Arctangent festival.

Following the viral momentum of their recent singles "Más Rápido," "Melanchronic." "Whatever, Alright," and "Uh, Yaya," which were praised by top-tier influencers/reactors like Nik Nocturnal, METALBIRB, bogdanhxc, and several prominent YouTube channels, Berlin's Vianova have quickly emerged as one of most exciting new heavy acts on the scene.

Blending the bounce of nu-metal, the snarling punch of metalcore, and the melodic dramatics of post-hardcore with a no-f***s-given crossover energy, Vianova aren't just knocking on the door — they're kicking it down. Armed with razor-sharp riffs, pounding grooves, jazz shifts, funk breaks, and a visual aesthetic that's as unhinged as it is unforgettable, Vianova embrace the absurd and the aggressive in equal measure. They are chaotic, catchy, and grab attention like a steel chair to the face.

Armed with their debut album HIT IT!, Vianova push their sound even further. This new chapter aims for a raw, fierce, and dynamic approach in both mixing and songwriting. Enigmatically embracing influence from soul, jazz, R&B, and '80s synths, Vianova are unapologetically themselves, the album a reflection of the quartet's commitment to not just breaking but entirely ignoring genre boundaries. Accompanying this sonic evolution is a vibrant visual transformation and some ever-evolving lore, told through an ongoing series of energetic and charismatic music videos.

Prospect Hill Unleashes New Version of Single “Victim” Feat. Stephen Richards of Taproot

After unleashing “Victim” on June 6, 2025, Boston hard rock band Prospect Hill returns with a brand-new version of the single, this time featuring Steven Richards of alt-metal veterans Taproot. The collaboration breathes new life into one of Prospect Hill’s most powerful songs, with Richards contributing fresh second-verse lyrics and layered harmonies that give the track a different perspective while preserving its crushing energy. Released today via Oktapus Rights Management / Red 13 Records, the updated “Victim” stands as both a reinvention and a celebration of mutual influence.

 Stream the new version here:

https://fans.prospecthillband.com/latest-release-links

A Collaboration Years in the Making
Originally released on June 6, 2025, “Victim” quickly became a fan favorite for its unapologetic lyrics and nu-metal edge. The song tackles toxic blame culture head-on, urging listeners to take accountability rather than fall into the trap of excuses.
Now, with Steven Richards stepping in to write and perform an entirely new second verse, the track gains a different narrative angle. His vocal presence is also interwoven throughout the harmonies, creating a powerful back-and-forth with frontman Edgar Troncoso that intensifies the song’s urgency.

“Having Steven on this track is a full-circle moment for us,” says drummer
and co-founder Mark Roberge. “Taproot has been one of our biggest influences since day one, and to hear him say this was his favorite collaboration he’s ever done—it doesn’t get more surreal than that.”

The Sound and the Message
Co-produced by Shaun Lichtenstein, Derek Rousseau, and Mark Roberge, and mixed by Lichtenstein, the 2025 version of “Victim” pushes Prospect Hill’s sound into sharper focus. Down-tuned guitars, aggressive grooves, and a defiant nu-metal punch remain intact, while Richards’ addition offers a renewed spark.

WE CAME AS ROMANS New Album Out Now; Drop Music Video For 'one by one'

Michigan metalcore titans We Came As Romans have released their powerful new album 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' today, via Sharptone Records. The release is highlighted by the release of focus track 'one by one' and arrives as the band's US leg of their massive Bad Luck World Tour nears the end of its climactic final week, with sold-out crowds across North America witnessing the band's most ambitious era yet. Stream'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' HERE and watch the video for "one by one" below.

"one by one" confronts the band's history with destructive patterns head-on, serving as both a reckoning and a commitment to breaking cycles that have haunted them throughout their career. Built on crushing riffs and the band's signature melodic power, the track features lyrical callbacks to their past while emphasizing the hard-won growth that comes from facing your demons.

Providing further context , We Came As Romans frontman, Dave Stephens shares

"We first wrote One by One on an acoustic guitar with raw vocals, and right away we knew we had something special. Even though the rest of the song took time to shape, that initial spark carried us through and made the journey worth it. At its heart, the lyrics reflect the process of healing—acknowledging mistakes, facing flaws, and slowly piecing yourself back together, one by one. I couldn’t be more excited to finally share this song and the story it tells with everyone."

The single arrived earlier this week, as anticipation reached fever pitch for 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED', the band's most conceptually ambitious work to date. The album—a 12-track journey that literally loops from its final seconds back to its beginning—explores two decades of the band's history through a philosophical lens of death, rebirth, and transformation. Following the release of "bad luck," "no rest for the dreamer," "culture wound," and "where did you go?," "one by one" completes the picture of an album that refuses to shy away from the darkest corners of the band's journey. ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis, spacey electronics, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still—effortlessly moving between metal, alternative, metalcore, and rock.

The Michigan-born five-piece—Dave Stephens, Joshua Moore, Lou Cotton, Andy Glass, and David Puckett—first broke through with Tracing Back Roots (2013), which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 and hit #1 on both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their self-titled 2015 album followed, debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200, cementing their status as modern metalcore royalty.

Following the tragic loss of original vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018, the band has continued to honor his legacy with their 2022 album, Darkbloom, their highest-praised record to date. Kerrang! awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it "a carrier for a knot of emotion, and a tribute to their friend." It featured career-defining tracks like "Black Hole" (ft. Caleb Shomo), now over 102 million Spotify streams, and "Daggers" (ft. Zero 9:36), which surpassed 32 million streams. Media outlets including Loudwire and Consequence praised the album for its emotional range, sonic heft, and unapologetic vulnerability.

Now, with 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED,' the band enters their most ambitious chapter yet—scarred, sharpened, and more fearless than ever.
