Rising Country Trio Lost Saints Release Debut EP 'Emotions,' Out Now

Built on the soul-piercing simplicity of three-part harmony, country trio Lost Saints arrive today with their debut EP, Emotions (Two Hats Music Group), available everywhere now. Featuring members Afton Addington, Chris Biano and Derrick Casteel, the new project showcases a group poised to bring timeless harmony back to the modern country landscape. Listen to Emotions Below.

Hailing from East Texas and East Tennessee, the members of Lost Saints first met in Nashville. What began as casual harmonizing between friends quickly revealed a rare, magnetic blend – three voices fitting together like pieces of a puzzle. With roots in gospel, bluegrass and classic country, their sound carries both contemporary polish and an authentic, 90s-inspired edge.

“I think it is a little bit of a lost art, and our goal is to bring that thing back,” says Biano. “That mix of voices that was here since the beginning of music.”

“We want to bring harmony back into the country music scene, and there’s a space for that,” Addington explains. “Look back at the ‘90s and you had all those great vocal groups like Diamond Rio, Restless Heart and Lonestar.”

Produced by studio legend Ilya Toshinskiy, Emotions builds on the trio’s early singles, including 2024’s “I Wanna Let You” and 2025’s “The One,” expanding their sonic world into a heartfelt collection of stories. With a mix of outside cuts, covers and a track co-written by Biano as well as the trio's sweeping choruses and seamless vocal interplay, the EP embodies Lost Saints’ belief that harmony is both timeless and deeply human.

“It’s like there’s a huge hole in modern country, and honestly, there might not be anything fitting what we’re doing,” Biano adds. “When we hit that chorus, it’s almost indistinguishable who’s leading.”

With Emotions, Lost Saints open a bold new chapter – reclaiming one of country’s most cherished traditions for a new generation of listeners.

About Lost Saints:
Built on the soul-piercing simplicity of three-part harmony, The Lost Saints are a country power trio for a new era – but one with undeniably timeless instincts. Featuring Afton Addington, Chris Biano and Derrick Casteel, three voices fit together like a puzzle, revitalizing one of country’s core tenants. Sourcing their own musical beginnings from East Tennessee (Casteel) and East Texas (Addington and Biano), The Lost Saints met by grace and began exploring an easy, all-natural vocal blend. Fusing the silky sheen of contemporary country with grassroots ‘90s authenticity and the rich, vivid harmony of the classic format, they began turning heads through a series of self-styled singles – set apart by their true-trio status (with each member on equal vocal footing). Yet after signing with Two Hats Music Group, and partnering with ace producer/studio legend Ilya Toshinskiy, a new chapter sees The Lost Saints finding their way. Beginning with the 2024 single “I Wanna Let You,” thick, textured voicing and near-weightless harmonies show a long-loved piece of the country tradition reclaimed, after being absent too long. Meanwhile, 2025 sees the band follow up their heartfelt power ballad “The One” – a better-late-than-never tribute to soulmates finding one another – with the release of their debut EP, Emotions, available now.

Released to overwhelming attention from fans and critics alike, “Somewhere Over Laredo” was the most added song at country radio at impact, garnered over 1.16 million streams across platforms in its first 24 hours (Wilson’s biggest first day of streaming to date) and earned widespread praise from outlets such as CBS Mornings, Rolling Stone and Billboard, who called it “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.”

In celebration of the new music, Wilson recently kicked off the U.S. leg of her sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which includes upcoming stops at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Austin’s Moody Center and Baton Rouge’s Raising Cane’s River Center (two nights) among many others. Wilson also recently launched her fourth collection with Wrangler, as well as her own boot (Golden West Boots) and jewelry lines (The Lainey Wilson Jewelry Collection).

The 16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winner and Grand Ole Opry member is a prolific, sought-after songwriter who has scored eight #1 hits including “4x4xU,” “Wildflowers And Wild Horses,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x PLATINUM Certified “Heart Like A Truck,” in addition to award-winning collaborations with Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”) and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). BLACKBRIAR - Release Video For 'Bluebeard's Chamber' + New Record 'A Thousand Little Deaths' Is Out Now

Blackbriar are proud to finally present their new studio album, A Thousand Little Deaths, released today via Nuclear Blast Records. A modern masterpiece steeped in gothic mystique, featuring breathtaking tracks such as The Fossilized WidowFloriographyA Last Sigh of BlissI Buried Us  and Harpy.

Today, the band have also revealed a video for 'Bluebeard's Chamber', the album's opener. The track is a fatalistic romatic tale, inspied by the classic French fairytale.

Vocalist Zora Cock comments:
"Sometimes curiosity feels so strong that it's almost as if you're compelled to look by some unseen force, just as Aurora pricked her finger on the spinning wheel, which led her to a cursed sleep. A destructive kind of curiosity like Pandora's, who opened the box, releasing all evil into the world. Or like Psyche, who couldn't resist shining a light on her mysterious lover, only to lose him and be left pleading for forgiveness. Mine felt more like opening Bluebeard's chamber, leaving me covered in blood."

Leslie Mandoki and his band, the Mandoki Soulmates, is returning to Budapest on August 21, 2025 and streaming live on Youtube

In a homecoming concert spectacular, Leslie Mandoki and his band of global musical luminaries, the Mandoki Soulmates, is returning to Budapest on August 21, 2025 at 7:00pm Central European Time to celebrate fifty years of Mandoki’s life and artistry in freedom on the national stage of his birthland. The 50 year anniversary concert will be live streamed directly from Budapest onto Youtube and can be watched from across the globe! The live stream will begin at 1:00pm Eastern Time. Here is the link for the livestream! https://www.youtube.com/live/t19CDG83nL0?si=n8Wjk2KRr8QKl6od

The performance will feature iconic Mandoki Soulmates songs, global hits made famous by members of his all-star band, and new material from their latest album, including We Stay Loud, Blood in the Water, and Devil’s Encyclopedia. Mandoki says “we invite everyone who believes in the power of music as both an act of profound artistic expression as well as a mode of liberation.”

The extraordinary venue is Budapest’s icon of icons, Szentháromság Tér atop the Buda Castle hill, a fitting crescendo in Mandoki’s performing life, which began in the then-notorious “Bem Club,” the locus of artistic rebels and rebellion in the oppressive 1970s Budapest. The concert promises surprises both evoking Mandoki and The Soulmates’ musical journey, as well as the band’s latest album, A Memory Of Our Future, a resounding international success, recently honored at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Backstory
Over 50 years ago, the young Leslie Mandoki and his band, JAM, started making the scene at the infamous Bem Club, a so-called “cultural center” in communist-era Budapest that was quickly becoming a hotbed of the underground counter-culture for young people. After experiencing unrelenting artistic and personal repression, Leslie and two like-minded friends summoned the courage to make their way, by any means necessary, to the West. Compelled by this longing for freedom, his friends, the young animator Gábor Csupó (now known worldwide for The Simpsons, Rugrats, Duckman, and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters), and musical blood brother László made a dramatic escape through the Karawanken Tunnel to Germany in 1975—50 years ago!

Perhaps Leslie himself expressed the roots of his personal and artistic odyssey best: “The Bem Club was the place where music became the battlefield of inner revolution and the fight for freedom. It was there that I first understood that behind every sound, there are ideas—and that every melody rises from the depths of the soul. I learned that music is not just storytelling, but a kind of world-building: creating new realities from sounds, thoughts, and shared dreams. The stage is a space where there is both a mirror and a gateway, to ourselves and to one another. The friendships forged there were not fleeting moments, but encounters of destinies attuned to one another. All of this shaped not only my artistic path but also the way I’ve seen life, freedom, and human dignity ever since.”

This crucible of Leslie’s westward journey and new life eventually led to the founding of the Mandoki Soulmates band. The group shared an artistic creed based on the spiritual and musical foundations for what has become the broader Soulmates collective. Now more than just a band, this is a creative fellowship, a cultural atelier, a bridge connecting generations and civilizations, a cry for freedom echoing across the world’s grandest stages, and one that will be celebrated with this concert.

BAEST Launches Visualizer for New Song, “Depraved World," New Album 'Colossal' Out Now

Danish death metal commando BAEST is now celebrating the release of its fourth studio album, 'Colossal,' which is out now, via Century Media Records! The band is also now sharing a visualizer with animation by Frederik Birn for the album’s closing track, “Depraved World," which can be found below.

BAEST comments, “Lo and behold! Our new album ‘Colossal’ is out now. We’re proud of this one and we’ve been working hard to reach this outcome. And the title says it all - it’s grandiose, it’s epic and it’s COLOSSAL!”

Produced by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio (Heaven Shall Burn, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Haunted, etc.), the album contains nine tracks across 42 minutes, including the already released singles "Colossus" and "Imp Of The Perverse," as well as an upcoming single with guest vocal features by Jesper Binzer of D-A-D on “King Of The Sun."

'Colossal' is now available to order, stream, or download HERE.

The album’s artwork was created by Solomacello

Are you ready to rock? Something colossal is coming…

Baest are back, with a new sound and a badass attitude. Over the last decade, the Danish quintet have become one of the most celebrated and respected death metal bands in Europe. Their reign of terror began with debut album Danse Macabre, which emerged to great acclaim in 2019. Since then, the Danes have been relentless. Subsequent albums Venenum (2019) and Necro Sapiens (2021) cemented their reputation as extreme metal mavericks with an ear for lethal hooks, while their passionate dedication to playing live enabled them to spread the word at shows and festivals around the world.

But things are slightly changing with album number 4: Colossal. Pieced together in the aftermath of Covid lockdowns, and fine-tuned over the last couple of years, the new Baest album is an absolute monster. The new songs are still rooted in the belligerent death metal that informed previous records, but Colossal represents a wholesale transformation. Inspired by and infused with old school, classic metal riffs and a giant helping of rock ‘n’ roll bombast, Baest have written an album that delights in the glory of heavy metal and the fine art of rocking out. Bursting at the seams with catchy riffs and classy melodies, with stylistic salutes to everyone from Ozzy Osbourne and Dokken, through to Iron Maiden and Whitesnake, this is the magnificent rock ‘n’ roll rebirth of Baest.

Fermentor - Agreement: Out NOW!

FERMENTOR’s latest sonic experiment, Agreement, drops August 15th, 2025. This 17-track instrumental album concludes a trilogy of improvised releases, following Mind Meld and Release MeAgreement pushes their boundary-defying blend of blistering death metal and sprawling, freeform post-rock to new extremes, delivering cinematic brutality and storytelling without words through instinct-driven chemistry.

The album opens with "Wintry Earth," a bleak, droning descent marked by jagged time signatures, eerie guitar textures, and a brutal death metal finale that sets a tense, violent tone. "Whisper Flesh" follows, a raw improvisation where dissonant loops and jagged grooves shift between blast-heavy death metal and crushing, groove-laden choruses, spiraling into ritualistic heaviness.

"Dead Farm" and "Ceratops" offer contrasting explorations of heaviness. "Dead Farm" channels the primal force of SEPULTURA, seismic pulse of GOJIRA, and progressive sludge of MASTODON with groove-driven intensity. Meanwhile, "Ceratops" unfolds slowly from meditative calm into a cathartic, tectonic climax, showcasing the band’s dynamic range from muscular aggression to patient build.

"More Than Eight" dives into FERMENTOR’s signature improvised chaos, layering guitar loops instinctively over shifting rhythms. "Ghost Girl" ventures further into experimental territory, blurring meditative post-rock and thunderous groove metal with spiraling solos and ethereal textures.

"Roach God" captures raw vulnerability through imperfect, high-wire improvisation where mistakes become defining characteristics - an authentic snapshot of risk and discovery. "Rotted" is a relentless, riff-driven brutal death metal descent, free of loops and culminating in a monstrous breakdown forged in pure instinct.

"Deactivated" builds angular chaos with dissonant grooves, shifting time signatures, and a searing solo, exploding into a triumphant finale. The title track "Agreement" is a study in tension and release, layering palm-muted guitars over hypnotic loops, culminating in a crushing halftime outro, a seismic exhale of raw improvisation and controlled chaos.

"There With That" blends cinematic instincts and epic metal grandeur, balancing atmosphere and intensity with emotional clarity. "Human Caterpillar" immortalizes a glitching guitar pedal feedback during an improvisation, turning technical failure into a chaotic, avant-garde Easter egg and a tongue-in-cheek highlight released on April Fools’ Day.

"Transgression" blasts with thrash-rooted energy, tight cymbal chokes and groove-drenched riffs channeling the band’s early chemistry and old-school aggression. "Hides Behind Hands" offers a rare breath of melancholic reflection, trading brutality for beauty through shimmering loops and restrained percussion, inviting pause and introspection.

"Protohuman" is a kaleidoscopic hybrid of swirling loops, jagged rhythms, and pulverizing eruptions that merge FERMENTOR’s death-thrash roots with fearless experimentation. "Skybeam" unleashes a deafening blast of explosive energy, a chaotic tempest signaling the album’s climax.

Finally, "All Ashes" winds down with reflective melodies and subtle textures, a sonic exhale that gathers Agreement’s sprawling journey into a poignant, meditative farewell.

Agreement stands as a bold testament to FERMENTOR’s fearless embrace of improvisation, raw emotion, and genre-defying exploration. Through blistering death metal, expansive post-rock, and moments of beautiful imperfection, the album captures a journey of friendship, risk, and creative discovery. It invites listeners into a world where chaos and control coexist, forging a powerful, unspoken narrative that lingers long after the final note fades. This is more than an album. It is an immersive experience that challenges expectations and redefines the boundaries of instrumental music.

FERMENTOR is:

  • Dylan Marks - Drummer

  • Adam "Wally" Wollach - Guitarist

ABOUT FERMENTOR:
FERMENTOR is a San Diego-based two-piece instrumental metal band formed in 2008 by drummer Dylan Marks (ATHEIST, BEEKEEPER) and guitarist Adam “Wally” Wollach (BEEKEEPER, TRASHAXIS). Stripping away the comforts of a traditional band infrastructure, FERMENTOR relies solely on communicating through only two elements; drums and guitar. The two instruments acting more like contrapuntal voices, rather than just rhythm and melody.

Their musical chemistry was discovered in the summer of 2008 when the two cousins took advantage of an opening at Wollach’s recording studio. Having never collaborated before and with only four weeks to write and record, they created their first EP entitled Matanzaa.

Ray Hawthorne & Oliver vs. Godzilla-Sized Elmo + New Album Out Today!

Pop punk disruptor, Ray Hawthorne, has officially released his sophomore record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" today, paired alongside an epic animated video for one of the album's standout tracks, "The Reel You". Fans can listen to the album HERE and watch the brand new video below.

In the brand new video for "The Reel You", Ray Hawthorne and his real-life dog, Oliver, trade guitars for capes, transforming into animated superheroes locked in a battle against a towering, Godzilla-sized Elmo. It's absurd, action-packed, and exactly the kind of chaotic fun that fans have come to expect from Hawthorne.

Blending heartbreak, sarcasm, and just the right amount of emotional stability, this record marks a new chapter for Ray Hawthorne. Where debut album and his firstborn, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", leaned into earnest DIY vulnerability, his latest record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real", takes a turn and taps into the restless defiance of a secondborn. Across 15 brand new tracks, Hawthorne delivers emotional candor that perfectly captures what it feels like to scream into the void, only to realize the void is singing back.

Fresh off singles that blurred the lines between self-deprecation and self-destruction, including the biting, "And the Horse You Rode in On", the pop-punk firebrand doubles down on identity crises, burned bridges, late night regrets, and the very real possibility that Ray Hawthorne is just a guy screaming into the ether (and somehow making it sound catchy). Loud, petty, and deeply cathartic, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" cements Hawthorne's place as one of the most unapologetically honest voices modern pop-punk.

Somewhere between saving the city from a Godzilla-sized Elmo and making sure Oliver's cape stayed on straight, Ray Hawthorne took a breather to share:

"You know what? Sometimes I just wanna be messy. I wanna lay out all of my biggest regrets in overly distorted ways that make my throat hurt. I wanna be so fucking real about what I’m feeling that it’s almost off putting. Like “Trauma Dump - The Album”. But I also just wanna play Yu-Gi-Oh and hang out with my dog. So I’m trying to find a middle ground. I’m sure the next album will be cleaner and prettier, maybe a little less chaotic. But this shit is messy, distorted, chaos, and I think I really needed it to be that way.

Renowned for his work in North Kingsley, the acclaimed project alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Hawthorne initially captured hearts as the Heartbreak Hero with his inaugural solo release "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This". Building on his solo work, his debut record "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" further cemented his status as a bold new voice in pop punk, quickly amassing a devoted following and over 15 million streams across all streaming platforms for his magnetic charm and razor-sharp wit.

Picking up where his debut record, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", left off, his sophomore record captures the raw energy of late-night confessionals and the polished punch of modern pop punk. "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" is an invitation to embrace the chaos, laugh at the pain, and maybe, just maybe, find a little redemption along the way.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Ray Hawthorne news coming very soon.

ABOUT RAY HAWTHORNE

Do you remember that episode of Degrassi where Ashley really wants Craig to tell her he loves her, but Craig gets all panicked and can’t tell her that he does? It causes so much drama in their relationship. She begins to question her feelings for him and because of that, he becomes seemingly unsure of his feelings for her. So, in an effort to quell the bad vibes, Craig writes a song that includes lyrics IMPLICITLY AND EXPLICITLY stating that he loves her. (Total banger by the way, the only song of his I like better is the one he sings at the battle of the bands after the two inevitably break up, it’s also about Ashley. I believe it’s called ‘What I Know’) Anyway, Craig was only able to admit he loved Ashley in song form, but you as the viewer are left wondering ‘Does he really love her, or was this just his solution to end the drama?’ Or, ’Is this truly the only way he can express himself because he’s kind of nervous about speaking his true feelings outside of the structured environment of a song?’. I tend to believe it’s a mixture of both. So what I’m trying to say is, this collection of songs is kind of like that. I always feel like I have so much to say but often feel a bit too vulnerable when discussing my actual feelings. So for the majority of my life, I’ve just written them into songs instead. These songs can be quite vulnerable even if they seem silly at times. So now you’re left to wonder... am I telling the truth or just trying to get rid of Ashley’s bad vibes?

VÖLUR & CARES Release Breathless Spirit With Video for “Windbourne Sorcery II”

Toronto-based trio VÖLUR, the band that has spent the past decade proving heavy music doesn’t need guitars, join forces with producer and sound artist CARES (James Beardmore) to release their fourth full-length album Breathless Spirit today via Black Throne Productions. The record arrives alongside the premiere of a haunting video for “Windbourne Sorcery II,” an otherworldly piece of doom-folk storytelling featuring guest vocals from Amy Bowles (PONY DA LOOK).

Breathless Spirit is VÖLUR & CARES’ most immersive and uncompromising work to date, a six-track journey through dread, exile, and psychic unraveling inspired by The Saga of Grettir the Strong, a 13th-century Icelandic tale of a cursed outlaw. Blending doom, folk, black metal, free improvisation, and world music traditions, the album reimagines myth as sound: cinematic, spectral, and unbound by genre.

CARES’ role goes far beyond production, contributing piano, synthesizers, theremin, custom-built electronics, and radical sound processing to expand VÖLUR’s acoustic core of violin, bass, and drums into liminal territory. Through fractured textures, spectral layering, and immersive re-amping, the collaboration transforms Breathless Spirit into something part metal ritual, part sound art installation.

“Windbourne Sorcery II,” the record’s third track, shifts from crushing doom riffs to an introspective folk lament. Told from the perspective of a witch cursing Grettir, the song is filled with paradoxes, air that freezes, snow that burns, and builds toward a hallucinatory vision of an encroaching iceberg, a solid wall of metallic ice on an unalterable course. The new video channels the song’s stark intensity, pairing its dynamic shifts with imagery steeped in isolation, magic, and the inevitability of fate.

Breathless Spirit is available today on black vinyl in standard and limited “diehard” editions, the latter including a 7-inch bonus record (Flutterby Number and Glamr) and a 20g packet of custom-blended Breathless Spirit tea. Digital formats also include the bonus track Glamr, unavailable on streaming platforms.

About VÖLUR & CARES

VÖLUR is a Toronto-based experimental doom metal trio composed of Laura C. Bates (violin, vocals), Lucas Gadke (bass, vocals), and Justin Ruppel (drums). Known for their unorthodox instrumentation and boundary-pushing compositions, VÖLUR draws from a wide range of influences including doom metal, European folk, free improvisation, classical music, and Persian/Kurdish traditions. Their sound, often described as haunting and cinematic, blends thunderous low-end weight with fragile melodic tension. Since forming in 2014, they have released multiple albums and EPs, performed at festivals such as ProphecyFest and Sled Island, and collaborated with artists from around the world as part of their Die Sprachen der Vögel series.

CARES is the project of James Beardmore, a UK-born, Ontario-based musician and producer. Known for his experimental production methods and emotional sonic textures, Beardmore integrates analog synthesizers, hacked hardware, custom Max/MSP instruments, and field recordings into compositions that are as tactile as they are atmospheric. His work with VÖLUR on Breathless Spirit is a seamless collaboration that expands the band’s sonic universe, elevating their music into a richly layered fusion of organic and electronic sound.

Together, VÖLUR & CARES create immersive, mythically charged music that resists categorization, rooted in story and sound, breath and ritual.

  • Laura C. Bates – violin, electric violin, viola, cymbals, vocals

  • Lucas Gadke – electric bass, double bass, harmonium, keyboards, tanbur, clarinet, bass clarinet, vocals

Attack Attack! Raises The Stakes With "Attack Attack! II" - Out Now!

Metalcore titans, Attack Attack!, have today unleashed their brand new album, "Attack Attack! II" via Oxide Records. It's been over a decade since fans last got a full-length ride with metalcore's favorite troublemakers, and the wait is officially over! Packed with high-octane riffs, explosive energy, and a few surprises only Attack Attack! could pull off, this album is more than just a comeback. Fans can listen to "Attack Attack! II" HERE.

Accompanying today's release is yet again, another monstrous single, "Karmageddon", which happens to be one of Attack Attack!'s heaviest tracks to date. A relentless dose of the band's signature intensity and attitude, packed into a ferocious, unapologetic onslaught that showcases the band at their most unyielding.

As the streams continue to climb and the hot takes around "Attack Attack! II" multiply, Attack Attack! weigh in:

"We guarantee this album sounds even better if you hit repeat.

In celebration of their upcoming record, "Attack Attack! II", the band will be embarking on the ONE HIT WONDER Tour next week, where they'll be bringing their chaotic new era to cities across the US. Fans can purchase tickets to the ONE HIT WONDER Tour now HERE.

Prior to today's album release, Attack Attack! also released four massive singles, "Dance!" featuring Will Ramos of Lorna Shore, "Chainless", "ONE HIT WONDER", and "i complain on r/metalcore". After blindsiding fans with a fake-out country remix, the real version of "Dance!" delivered sheer chaos and pit-stirring aggression as they teamed up with one of deathcore's most recognizable voices, Will Ramos, for their first ever official feature. The first two tracks sent metalcore into a tailspin, sparking conversations from fans to top-tier music outlets - Revolver, Metal Injection, Rock Sound, etc - who hailed Attack Attack! for their fearless return. "ONE HIT WONDER" and "i complain on r/metalcore" kept the momentum surging, setting the tone for an audacious new era that is loud, unavoidable, and fearlessly sarcastic.

Formed in 2007, Attack Attack! has become a staple in the metalcore scene, amassing over 100 million streams across major streaming platforms on multiple chart-topping records. As torchbearers of the genre, the band continue to push the boundaries of metalcore while solidifying their place in its ever-growing legacy. Known for their no-holds-barred approach, Attack Attack! remain unpredictable as ever, with more bold twists in store for the year ahead.

ABOUT ATTACK ATTACK!

If you went to Warped Tour in the mid 2000’s, shopped at Hot Topic, or were active on Myspace; then you have heard the name “Attack Attack!” While the band’s early career was relatively short-lived, their reputation has done nothing but grow since the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2013. Known for incorporating dance/electronica music with metal, the band consistently bent the rules of songwriting. They took the sounds they liked and crafted seemingly incompatible genres into anthems for local Ohio scene kids, and later, audiences across the globe. After years of silence, Attack Attack!exploded back onto the scene in 2020. They’re here to remind you that rules are made to be broken, adversity is meant to be overcome, and that legends never die.

Out NOW from VICTIM OF FIRE - The Old Lie

Denver, Colorado's stadium crust act VICTIM OF FIRE deliver an engulfing sonic experience with a significant focus on twin guitar harmonies. Seeking to set the stage ablaze with their new album and forthcoming tour dates around North America and Canada this September, The Old Lie that is set for release on August 1, 2025 via Human Future Records/Return Trip Records.

The Old Lie is a continuation of the bands sound from where they left off with Disembrace in 2022. This album also sees a shift in the band's creative process, being the first to include contributions from every live member. The title track kicks off the release with a somewhat divergent sound. Steering into the melo-death territory, VICTIM OF FIRE showcase the genre fusion aspect of their sound while still retaining their roots as a d-beat crust band. "The Old Lie"’s lyrics come from a poem by the English Poet Wilfred Owens, lifting the curtain behind the bleak realities experienced by soldiers in World War One.

Rife with harmonies, "Apocalyptic Inclination" exposes the 'warfare mindset' reinforced by politicians, especially in the US. "Wayward Light" continues the trajectory of the fast and melodic in a ferocious fury of riffs and harmonies. "Nightmares of Ceasefire" sees the fast and the furious endure, thematically exploring the perspectives of those who profit from war and death. "Soldiers Dream" is also influenced by Wilfred Owen's poem from which the song's title is taken. An enthralling combination of emotions, textures and tones, it's also the fastest track on the album.

A staple of the band's live shows "Discordance" was written from a more personal perspective about the process of adjusting to 'reality' following a period of touring. "Barren Path" sees VICTIM OF FIRE present an open and honest sharing of struggles with imposter syndrome. Shifting gears, "Front Towards enemy" embarks on a wild ride stylistically, deviating from the rest of the track list. Followed by "Disharmonist", the band's self proclaimed "magnum opus", the track original appeared as a single in 2021. For The Old Lie, it's been revamped with further harmonies and an increase in speed. VICTIM OF FIRE end with their own distinctive take on IRON MAIDEN's "Aces High".

About VICTIM OF FIRE:
Initially formed in 2016, the Denver hailing blackened crust ensemble began as a side project filling in a creative gap and available studio time. Now, almost a decade later, the quartet are preparing to unearth their third studio album, The Old Lie, and bring their explosive sound to the masses around the US and Canada.

Inspired by the likes of TRAGEDY, DISFEAR, IN FLAMES, DISMEMBER and IRON MAIDEN, Austin reveals his creative influences, "harmonized guitars have always been my favorite part of music ever since I discovered IRON MAIDEN at the age of 16, and I’ve just been trying to recreate it in my bands wherever I can. Also not being afraid to take a risk with a song of musical style to see if it connects. We aren’t trying to be the crustiest crust band, we want to blend a bunch of styles together to make something fun and energetic to play live."

Dustin (Bass)
Emily (Guitar)
Marc (Drums)

Eli Young Band’s New Album, ‘Strange Hours,’ Out Now

18x RIAA-certified country hitmakers Eli Young Band launch a new era with Strange Hours, out now. As the band’s first independently released album via UnLevel Records and their first full-album release in over three years, Eli Young Band shares why they keep Strange Hours. Listen to the album below.

Strange Hours comprises 13 songs, all co-written as a band or with long-trusted collaborators, and introduces a new chapter driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, from a band of brothers who grew from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers still very much in their prime. Eric Arjes and Jimmy Robbins produced 12 of the 13 tracks, while “Bad Luck” was produced by Julian Raymond and Scott Borchetta.

“We started this thing when we were like 20 years old, and it’s been such a crazy road and such a longer road than any of us could have conceptualized at the time,” says bassist Jon Jones. “I think right now feels a little full circle, in a really nice way.”

Seeking both a fresh start and a return to their roots with this project, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson sought out Panhandle House Studio in their hometown of Denton, Texas – the birthplace of the college friends-turned-bandmates’ 2005 debut album Level, which spawned fan-favorites such as “Small Town Kid” and set the stage for the numerous hits that have followed in the 20 years since.

“Now, we get to step back into our Texas shoes,” vocalist Eli agrees. “I think this new stuff finds us reaching deep into our past as a band. We’re remembering where the magic was – all those songs we wanted to record for our Level record, that felt way too edgy for Country Radio at the time.”

For the band, being independent again for the first time in years isn’t a challenge, it’s a reward – and they took the chance to embrace not just renewed creative freedom, but the fun of their self contained live-band philosophy.

“Going back to Panhandle House where we recorded Level, it feels like we got to remind ourselves why we started making the kind of music we make,” Eli says. “When this music comes out, I think fans will know it is 100% coming from us.”

“Honestly, going to Panhandle House feels like going back to your childhood home in a way,” Jones notes. “It just evokes these memories, like this slightly-younger version of ourselves comes out.”

“One thing that’s really special is we’ve come full circle and remember that energy, but we’re also older and wiser,” drummer Thompson adds. “We have years of studio, songwriting and performing experience under our belt, so we have more of a honed edge going in. That’s a really cool advantage.”

The comfort level is plainly evident. Exploring new corners of their patented sound by day, and going home to their families each night, the band members were free to bring every ounce of the last 25 years to bear. Tracks like the lead single “Home In Hometown” are proof, featuring all the elements that made EYB what it is – from the electric vocal delivery to the deeply textured sonics and soulful theme.

A true-to-experience ballad of life on the highway, “Home In Hometown” stands as a heart-on-their-sleeve tribute to those the band loves most – and what they’ve learned from 20+ years away. While atmospheric guitars and a steady rhythmic pulse capture a sense of anticipation, another euphoric chorus helps the band unpack what “home” really means.

“I was digging deep into our Texas roots,” Eli says of the modern-classic midtempo. “I wanted to write something that felt like Pat Green or Jack Ingram would cut. And when you travel like we do, a lot of times you’re thinking about coming home and being with your family – but, it’s almost like if they meet you on the road, anywhere can be home. It just feels right. I wanted to capture that.”

Strange Hours also includes a head-nodding, foot-tapping feature from Corey Kent in “Whiskey Told Ya” as Kent delivers humorous lyrics with raspy vocals throughout the track that lyricizes the story of when alcohol meets honesty:

From feel-good singalongs and heart melting wedding anthems to pure, untamable romance and clever comebacks of love, they show the same stage-rocking Texas-country hit makers fans know and love, undaunted and with new maturity baked in.

“It’s been a blessing just to be able to do this for so long, and over our career we’ve seen a lot of bands come and go,” guitarist Young says. “This feels like family, and we can take that with us as we go down this next part of the road.”

“Our music, since it’s been the four of us making it from day one, has such a strong through line,” Jones agrees. “The way we sounded in the beginning, that’s the way we’re going to sound in the end.”

As the ACM Award-winning and CMA and GRAMMY-nominated band unveils their newest project, they also continue on a celebratory road journey with their headlining Strange Hours Tour, underway now. The thrilling foursome return to their element – packing a live-show setlist with No. 1 smashes like the 5x Platinum single “Crazy Girl,” 3x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” 2x Platinum “Love Ain’t” and Platinum “Drunk Last Night.”

UK singer-songwriter Nick Haeffner releases 'What Time Can Do' album via Dimple Discs

Dimple Discs is thrilled to announce the official release of the fourth album 'What Time Can Do' from UK singer-songwriter artist Nick Haeffner, now available on CD and limited-edition white-label vinyl. Offering a unique take on quintessential British folk-pop, this is Haeffner's most ambitious work to date.

Involving a considerable amount of creative input from Marcus Holdaway (High Llamas, Stereolab, Colourway), this album was recorded, produced and mixed by Nick Haeffner and remastered by iconic producer Paul Tipler (Stereolab, Elastica, Idlewild, Placebo, Julian Cope, House Of Love).

Four years in the making, 'What Time Can Do' marks a new stage in the evolution of Nick’s music, blending the folk, psychedelic, experimental and orchestral sounds of his earlier material with Latin, jazz and dub influences. The title track exemplifies this ambition, described as "Eleanor Rigby meets Sly and Robbie" with its strident cello parts over a dub backbeat. The song poignantly tells the story of a young immigrant navigating big dreams, demanding shift work, and the challenges of English weather.

Haeffner first gained prominence in the 1980s as the guitarist for post-punk band The Tea Set (supporting legendary acts like U2, The Stranglers, The Clash, Iggy Popand XTC) and has a storied career ever since. Following the band's breakup, he worked on numerous projects, often under assumed names, having signed with Phil Smee's Bam Caruso label.

"This album represents a big step forward for me. Elements of my previous albums are present, but there is a lighter, jazzier touch to some of the tracks, much of it due to the presence of some superb musicians I came into contact with during the making of the album. Marcus Holdaway (cello, vocals, keyboards), Chris Cummings (backing vocals and keyboards) and Yani Martinelli (backing vocals) are associates of Sean O’Hagan of The High Llamas, while Marcus and Chris also have associations with Stereolab. Their contributions, especially the backing vocals, are a real highlight, bringing a new level of musical sophistication to my sound," says Nick Haeffner.

"The album is very accessible and easy to listen to, but there’s a depth to the lyrics, an underlying darkness and an attention to detail in the production, which I think gives the album substance and the ability to outlast musical trends or fashions. It contains some of my best songs, performed to perfection by the musicians, produced with loving care and given a final polish by one of the best engineer-producers in independent music, Paul Tipler".

As of August 1, the 'What Time Can Do' album is officially out everywhere on CD, which can be ordered directly from the label via Bandcamp. The album release show happened that evening, upstairs at the Betsey Trotwood.

RAHWAY Releases Self-Titled Album

Hard rock/heavy metal band RAHWAY releases their self-titled album via Pavement Entertainment. Rahway new release is a raw, hard-hitting ride through the heart of

New Jersey rock. Featuring the explosive “Rocketship,” the heartfelt “Carry You,” and the haunting “Drowning,” RAHWAY'Sself-titled album captures the band’s gritty edge and emotional depth. This album is loud, honest, and unapologetically real.

Listen to RAHWAY Below.

RAHWAY'S latest single, “Rocketship,” has captured the attention of the rock and metal scene alike. Eddie Trunk of Sirius XM/Trunk Nation says, “‘Rocketship’ from RAHWAY is a killer hard rock tune that would appeal to fans of both classic and modern rock. Great riff and kick ass song. For sure a band worth keeping an eye on.

RAHWAY, known as the Slumlords of New Jersey, deliver a high-octane blend of hard rock and heavy metal with blue-collar swagger and stage-crushing energy. Combining gritty riffs, thunderous drums, and a powerful live presence, they've become a staple in the Northeast rock scene. With a sound rooted in classic metal and modern attitude, RAHWAY doesn’t just play shows—they throw rock and roll family reunions.

Virginity Release "Live At The Shroyers" EP + Announce "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' power pop darlings, Virginity, have a double-whammy of new music for your listening pleasure. Today, the band unveils their EP "Live At The Shroyers" featuring six live tracks paying homage to their roots as a band creating music in their bassist, Jordan Shroyer's, living room.

Listen Below.

Alongside the EP release, they are also announcing a full length companion to their 2024 LP "Bad Jazz" which will be coming out on October 15th, titled "You Can't Have My Blood." The tracklist will feature songs from the two EPs released this year as well as a handful of additional tracks including an unreleased original and a few covers. There will be an extremely limited vinyl release with no plans of repressing once sold out.

Pre-order "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" here

The band has received critical acclaim from the rock scene's top tastemakers, including New Noise Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, Audiotree, and more. As fan favorites at Smartpunk's SXSW showcase and Florida's beloved FEST, Virginity have cultivated a core fanbase who are foaming at the mouth for these new tracks.

Speaking about the new EP, Virginity says, "Bad Jazz began with the four of us building these songs in Jordan's living room and so we all thought it would be very fitting to take those songs back to their birthplace and perform them in their finished forms. We looked to our friend Jason Kupfer from The Pauses to fill in some of the production gaps for the live session and we enjoyed it so much it seems that he's going to stick around with us for a bit. These tunes were built to be played live, and were recorded that way for the album, but it was important to us to do it for real for posterity to show the energy they possess and how they don't need any studio glitz to work just as effectively. This EP is a snapshot in time. This is what Virginity sounds like live at this exact moment. You can look at our Audiotree from 2021 and see how much better we've gotten and we're all so proud of that fact. We hope to keep producing live work every so often and to continue documenting our growth, not just as artists producing the best records we can, but as live performers."

VIRGINITY 2025 TOUR DATES:
August 31, 2025 - The Ox - Gainesville, FL w/ Jer and Gutless
October -24-26 - The Fest - Gainesville, FL

ABOUT VIRGINITY
Virginity’s “Fidelity Castro EP” was originally supposed to be a way to release the leftover scraps from the Bad Jazz recording sessions, but as the band continued to finesse the recordings, the EP morphed into something entirely different. It took on a life of its own, and taught the band it can operate more loosely than it ever has before.

Featuring 5 original tracks and a cover of one of their favorite Shins tunes, the EP shows the band finishing three partially developed concepts from the Bad Jazz sessions as well as 3 demos of songs that never made it to the studio, but showed just as much promise as anything that landed on the album. And while the basic tracks of the demos were recorded live and raw, they show another side of the band’s abilities and yearning to experiment with lo-fi production (a la a recent obsession with Guided By Voices) and attempt to not overthink something that already rocks ass.
