SVEN GALI UNLEASH LIVE ALBUM RECORDED AT TORONTO’S LEGENDARY EL MOCAMBO

Canadian hard rock heavyweights Sven Gali have announced the release of a ferocious new live album, captured during their sold-out performance on Friday the 13th, September 2024, at the world-famous El Mocambo in Toronto. The record captures the band at full throttle in one of the most iconic rock venues on the planet — and it’s set to drop on another Friday the 13th: June 13, 2025.

With a history as loud as the amps that have powered it, The El Mocambo has hosted some of the most legendary names in rock: The Rolling Stones (who recorded their now-famous 1977 live set there), Stevie Ray Vaughan, U2, The Ramones, Blondie, Elvis Costello, and more. Sven Gali now joins that elite club with a performance that’s raw, unfiltered, and undeniably heavy.

"Recording at the El Mocambo was a full-circle moment for us," says frontman Dave Wanless. "The energy of the crowd, the history of the venue, and the rawness of the night are all captured in this album. It's a testament to our roots and our evolution."

The live album features a thunderous setlist focused on the band’s gold-certified 1992 self-titled debut, delivering full-throttle versions of the songs that made Sven Gali a household name on MuchMusic and beyond:

  • "Under the Influence" – 1993 MuchMusic Heavy Metal Video of the Year

  • "Love Don’t Live Here Anymore" – Top 10 Canadian single and #6 CanCon song of 1993

  • "Tie Dyed Skies" and "In My Garden" – fan favorites with iconic video rotation

  • Plus a searing live cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades”.

Recorded live withDave Wanless (vocals), Andy Frank (guitar), Shawn Minden (bass), Sean Williamson (guitar),andDan Fila (drums), the album captures Sven Gali doing what they do best:delivering heavy music with zero compromise and total conviction.

As a special thank you to fans, every purchase or pre-sale of the new live album before June 30, 2025, will be automatically entered into a one-of-a-kind contest to win an official Sven Gali Gold Album Award — the real deal, issued by Music Canada, celebrating their 1992 self-titled record going gold. This isn’t a replica — it’s the same style of award that hangs in industry offices and band studios. One lucky fan is going to own a true piece of Canadian rock history.

Paradise Slaves (Ex-36 Crazyfists, Diecast) Share "Swim North" Lyric Video

PARADISE SLAVES, the brand new band featuring former members of 36 CRAZYFISTS and DIECAST, are inching closer to the May 2 release of their debut album With Hell In His Eyes via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here.

Today, they share the new single "Swim North."

Watch the lyric video below:

The track features guest vocals from Unearth's Trevor Phipps. A pit-splitting breakdown opens up to the sound of Phipps' unmistakable growl. Meanwhile, singer Brock Lindow counters with a melodic lyrical hook: "Swim north to escape / Swim north to erase."

"It's hard to escape who you are," Lindow states. "All of the isolation I grew up with in Alaska is bound to make its way into the lyrics. So, it's a song about finding victory through defeats and never giving in."

Paradise Slaves will be having a record release party at Gabes 252 in Westfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 7.  Support will come from Byzantine and Hero and the Horror. Get tickets here.

The Boston-by-way-of-Anchorage quartet cements an uncanny union between aforementioned vocal powerhouse Lindow (36 Crazyfists), solo artist and guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, guitarist Jon Kita (Diecast), bassist Brad Horion (Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid).

Mutual admiration and respect sparked the initial flame for Paradise Slaves, yet their newly forged friendship lit up their chemistry as brightly as a pyre. That same energy surges through their full-length debut album.

As the story goes, Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel shot a text over to Lindow mid-pandemic. As it turned out, his younger brother Tyler was putting together a solo album, Dark Verses, Vol. 1, and wanted Lindow to sing on a track. Right away, the duo hit it off as collaborators and buddies.

Following the first song, they continued to write and record. Given his longstanding friendship with Brock, Kita naturally fit in and joined the fold followed by Horion and Manning. Jamming away, they nodded to formative inspirations such as Soundgarden and Alice In Chains twisted up with just the right amount of hardcore grit and heavy metal eloquence. In between, they performed alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, Fit For An Autopsy, and more. Eventually, the group congregated at Tin Bridge Studios in Massachusetts in order to record.

"This band is something I didn't expect," admits Lindow. "After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people and we became brothers, and for that, I'm so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music as I always had and it manifests in Paradise Slaves."

…And Oceans Are Born Again on “Förnyelse i Tre Akter”

While they've always ebbed and flowed between different extremes over the course of the past 30 years, on their upcoming seventh album, ...and Oceans are surging onto the scene with their most expansive experiment in symphonic black metal. The Regeneration Itinerary melds black and death metal with symphonic, industrial and electronic elements, plus inspiration from Paulo Coelho's best-selling novel The Alchemist.

Blending the band’s avant-garde legacy with their raw intensity, the third single off their upcoming new album is inspired by theatrical transformation and existential revelation. “Förnyelse i Tre Akter” (“Renewal in Three Acts”) tells the tale of a reclusive performer who glimpses a new world beyond the stage—a powerful metaphor for shifting perspectives and inner awakening. As described by vocalist and lyricist Mathias Lillmåns, the song is “about seeing things in a different light, how to rearrange your perspective in three acts.”

The performance video for “Förnyelse i Tre Akter” will premiere on Black Metal Promotion's YouTube channel and can be seen below:

The Regeneration Itinerary comes out May 23rd on Season of Mist.

“Förnyelse i Tre Akter” echoes the spirit of …and Oceans' early era while also injecting a sharper death metal edge, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-reaching. The song echoes the broader themes of duality and personal regeneration found throughout The Regeneration Itinerary.

"This is more in the vein of old 90’s …and Oceans", says guitarist Timo Kontio, "but this time I did some different riffing. Some say it's more in the death metal style, which might be true."

The performance video for “Förnyelse i Tre Akter” was filmed and edited by Aarni Visuals

“The Regeneration Itinerary explores the interplay between darkness and light, chaos and order, spiritual and material realms, with each song embodying an experience for the mind and body, navigating a passage to the present moment,” explains Lillmåns.

“The album works like a guide,” he continues. “Teaching us that not everything can be defined as simply being ‘good’ or ‘bad’, ‘light’ or ‘dark’, ‘copper’ or mercury’, underscoring the perpetual dance of dualities in the human experience.”

ONSLAUGHT Drop Ferocious New Version Of 1989’s "In Search Of Sanity"

After turning heads with their crushing rendition of MOTÖRHEAD’s "Iron Fist," UK thrash legends ONSLAUGHT return with the second single from their upcoming double-album Origins Of Aggression, which is due out on May 23, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

This time it’s personal. "In Search of Sanity," a re-recorded version of the band's 1989 title track, explodes back to life in 2025 with a vengeance. Packed with towering riffs, mind-blowing solos, and vocal lines sharper than ever, this modern take breathes new fire into a thrash anthem - while keeping its roots raw and intact.

Guitarist and founding member Nige Rockett opens up about the song’s return: “This new recording of the title track from the album of the same name has completely blown me away... It’s like night and day compared to the original version. It’s common knowledge that I’ve never been a huge fan of the album overall. Don’t get me wrong - I love the songs, but at the time it just wasn’t an ONSLAUGHT album in terms of the production, vibe, and everything else that surrounded this particular release. It’s always been my dream to re-record the whole album and to finally make it sound like a real ONSLAUGHT record - the way it should have sounded the first time around. Here it is...! Tons of aggression and anger, a real heavy thrash song with all the necessary components. I hope you dig the new lease of life this track now has, as much as we do!”

Whiskey Myers Bring the 'Thunder' with New Album Due Sept. 26; Lead Single "Time Bomb" Out Now

With cryptic videos sending fans into a frenzy to catch hidden clues and uncover their meaning, Whiskey Myers now officially confirm details of a new album on the way. The genre-defying six piece is back and bolder than ever with Whomp Whack Thunder, their highly anticipated seventh studio album set to release Sept. 26 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records. Channeling the spirit of classic rock through a modern Southern lens – roaring guitars, thunderous drums and lyrics that cut deep – the album is available to pre-order/pre-save HERE.

Born from the piney woods of East Texas and shaped in the soul of Nashville during an immersive three weeks with renowned producer Jay Joyce – known for bringing edge, atmosphere and unpredictability to every project (Eric Church, Cage the Elephant, Halestorm, Lainey Wilson) – Whomp Whack Thunder is a strong statement from the multi-Platinum independent band.

A raw, hard-hitting preview arrives today, April 23, with lead single “Time Bomb,” capturing the energy of a band pushing boundaries without losing their roots. Listen HERE ahead of the song’s live debut at Stagecoach this Friday, April 25, offering a first glimpse at what promises to be one of the most dynamic records in Whiskey Myers’ catalog.

“We didn’t set out to chase a specific sound—we set out to make a Whiskey Myers record,” reflects lead guitarist John Jeffers. “Jay pulled something out of us that’s raw and real, and every track’s got a piece of our story in it. This album’s about where we’ve been, what we’ve lived and the scars we earned along the way – and I think Whomp Whack Thunder might just be our most fearless album yet.”

Whomp Whack Thunder is the sound of a band at the height of its powers, marrying Southern swagger with arena-sized rock and soul-searching songwriting. Frontman Cody Cannon penned all eleven tracks solo, delivering stories that hit with the emotional weight of lived experience and the firepower of their signature sound. From the breakneck energy of “Tailspin” to the introspective grit of “Icarus” and the raucous stomp of “Ramblin’ Jones,” it’s a record born of the road and shaped by nearly two decades of defiant, grassroots momentum.

The album features the full force of the band – Cannon (vocals, guitar), Jeffers (guitar), Cody Tate (guitar), Jamey Gleaves (bass), Jeff Hogg (drums) and Tony Kent (percussion, piano) – with Joyce also contributing keys, organ and guitar, crafting a sonic landscape that stretches from greasy blues-rock riffs to gospel-tinged country soul.

Ahead of the fall release, fans can catch early previews of the new music on the What We Were Born To Do Tour, kicking off June 6 and hitting cities across the U.S. throughout the summer. Whiskey Myers also co-headlines 14 dates of the Live in 25 Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band later this year in addition to headlining their own personally curated festivals; the seventh annual Wiggy Thump Festival on May 10 in their hometown of Palestine, Texas and the inaugural Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” music vacation taking over Miramar Beach, Fla. Nov. 7-9.

Their previous project, Tornillo, featured the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and followed breakthrough album Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). BLACKBRIAR - ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM A THOUSAND LITTLE DEATHS

Today Dutch symphonic metal band BLACKBRIAR announce their brand new album A Thousand Little Deaths, which will be released on August 22nd 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. Together with this exciting news the band shares their new single 'The Fossilized Widow'. The single channels the eerie spirit of the Victorian era, blending the mysticism of Ouija boards with the brooding passion of Wuthering Heights. A journey through dark love, spectral forces, and gothic intrigue. From October 2025 you can see BLACKBRIAR performing their new songs on their headline tour across Europe. All dates are listed below.

Zora Cock comments: "The Fossilized Widow tells the story of a girl frozen in time, desperately holding on to someone she can never let go. She's slowly descending into madness by all those words left unsaid, all those questions left to be asked. As the years pass, her home has turned into ruins, yet the legend says she still remains, trapped in her sorrow, waiting and watching. They call her The Fossilized Widow"

In BLACKBRIAR’s efforts to truly reach the global metal marketplace, they reached a number of firsts in 2024. In the spring, they took a maiden voyage across the Atlantic for a fruitful North American tour supporting Battle Beast as their special guest. They also took to the famous Wacken Open Air festival for the first time, in addition to also performing at Summer Breeze and Rock Imperium Festival Spain. In addition, they launched a potent standalone single in “Moonflower” with guest Marjana Semkina (Iamthemorning). They capped off the year supporting Kamelot on their European tour, which brought them to some new locales as well as familiar ones over the 17 date trek.

During this busy time, they returned to the studio to record what would become their third full-length, A Thousand Little Deaths, once more with Joost van den Broek at the helm for production. To set some appropriate inspiration and a change of pace, the band ventured back to the ‘mansion’ featured in their “Until Eternity Ends” video and stayed a few days while working on the album. Their first time back since recording that moving video, it allowed them to tap into their roots while still keeping their eyes ever-forward. Set to release this summer through Nuclear Blast Records, expect BLACKBRIAR to once again raise the stakes in all aspects of their revered sound. In keeping the band’s tradition of direct connection to fans alive, they launched another triumphant pre-order campaign at the end of February. To celebrate the release of A Thousand Little Deaths, the band will be departing on their first full headline tour of Europe this fall with Danish act Forever Still as their special guest, beginning in October 2025.

Expect even more big things for BLACKBRIAR as 2025 continues along. With YouTube streams now reaching 71 million views and over 253,000 subscribers, and equally massive Spotify stats including a total of over 65 million streams, with over 190,000 monthly listeners who contribute to 1 million streams a month and 12 million streams per year, the world has taken notice of their distinctively macabre yet whimsical sense of metallic storytelling. Prepare to wrap yourself up in their seductive siren songs, and expect to be swept away on an unforgettable journey.

HOLLOW LEG Announce New Full-Length Album Dust and Echoes

Sludge-tinged riff lords HOLLOW LEG return on June 13th, 2025 with Dust and Echoes, a thunderous new full-length that doubles as both concept and collision — two EPs (Dust and Echoes) written in separate sessions, now merged into one devastatingly cohesive release. The album will be released via Third House Communications and features nine crushing tracks that traverse doom, grunge, classic metal, and space rock.

Dust and Echoes was recorded and produced by the band at High Five Studio in DeLand, Florida, with mixing and mastering handled by Zeuss (HATEBREED, CROWBAR, ROB ZOMBIE). Artwork was created by Shawn Garrett and Jean Saiz, reflecting the record’s post-apocalyptic themes of human collapse, survival, and rebirth.

The album showcases HOLLOW LEG’s most varied and atmospheric songwriting to date, with layers of percussion, groove-heavy riffing, spaced-out guitar work, and a balance of sludge and melody that pushes the band into new sonic territory. Tracks like “Holy Water,” “Ride the Wave/Dig the Grave,” and “Last Tribe” dive deep into end-of-days scenarios — a choose-your-own-adventure soundtrack for the end of the world and what might come after.

About HOLLOW LEG:

HOLLOW LEG is a heavy band born in the swamps of Florida, built on riffs, rhythm, and raw energy. Since forming in 2009, the band has forged a sound that blends sludge, doom, and hard rock with elements of grunge, classic metal, and even blues and hip-hop — a swampy, groove-laden punch to the gut that’s as soulful as it is crushing.

Over the years, HOLLOW LEG has carved out a loyal following with their dynamic songwriting, relentless live shows, and a discography that balances grit with atmosphere. The lineup — Scott Angelacos (vocals), Brent Lynch (guitars/backing vocals), John Stewart (drums/percussion), and Tom Crowther (bass) — brings deep roots in the underground, with current and former members of cult bands like BLOODLET, CARIBOU KING, and JUNIOR BRUCE.

With appearances at major underground festivals like Psycho Las Vegas and Maryland Doom Fest, and a catalog of full-lengths and EPs that have pushed their sound in new directions, HOLLOW LEG continues to evolve without losing their core: heavy, honest, and hungry. Whether channeling the slow burn of doom, the swagger of stoner rock, or the urgency of hardcore, they remain fiercely committed to the riff and the truth it carries.

Their new album, Dust and Echoes, is the culmination of everything the band has built — a concept forged from two distinct EPs that fuse into a single, end-of-days experience. It’s their heaviest, most varied, and most fully realized statement yet.

HOLLOW LEG is:

  • Scott Angelacos – Vocals

  • Brent Lynch – Guitars, Backing Vocals

  • John Stewart – Drums, Percussion (including rainsticks)

  • Tom Crowther – Bass

UK electronic artist Max Rael presents 'Brighter Future', teasing debut album 'The Enemy Is Us'

British electronic artist Max Rael has announced the forthcoming album 'The Enemy Is Us', his debut solo effort, out in June via London imprint Liquid Len Recording Company, preceded by a traditional A / B side single 'Brighter Future'.

An alternative electronic pop song with spoken word vocals, 'Brighter Future' questions avoidant strategies of coping with life in a seemingly increasingly chaotic and unsafe world and queries how can we reverse course from an anticipated dystopian future.

The non-album B-side 'The People We Love Have Won (Persistence Is All)' is a darker beast, named after Coil's 2000 London performance at The Royal Festival Hall, which also happens to be tattooed on the inside of Rael's left wrist.

Spoken word, electronic music and loud drums can all be expected on the impending 12-track album, produced and mixed by Max Rael with additional mixing by Caden Clarkson and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Pixies. Nine Inch Nails). Fusing a range of electronic music styles with other genres, Max Rael is a master journeyman of existential exploration into humanity, self, society, reality, psychology, philosophy and the future.

"Whilst I naturally tend to be drawn towards darker and more melancholy themes, sometimes creativity needs to be a reaction to the world around us. I felt I needed to take some creative responsibility, and not push more negativity out into a world that already feels like its drowning, like kicking somebody when they're already down," says Max Rael.

"While it's natural, and sometimes necessary, to explore difficult realities through art, and I've done my share of that, I believe there's also a vital role for artists and dreamers to imagine and articulate possibilities for hope and improvement. Drawing inspiration from John Higgs's thought-provoking ideas, where in 1977 it was a defiant and shocking statement when The Sex Pistols said, ‘No Future’, today perhaps the true rebellion involves standing up and saying, ‘Yes Future’… A Brighter Future."

Musician, writer, actor, engineer and producer, Max Rael has remixed such artists as Fish (Marillion), Last July, Kommand + Kontrol, Bienheldenschafgegenstand and Freudstein. He is also behind electro-goth trailblazers History Of Guns, formed in Hertfordshire in 1996. Frontrunners of the Wasp Factory / FuturePunk scene of the early 2000s, their single 'Your Obedient Servant' was championed by The Quietus and Mick Mercer among the “thirty best goth singles of all time”.

Renowned for their meta-modernist Industrial sound, 2024 saw the release of their 'Half Light' album, their eighth record to date and second since 2022's return from a ten-year hiatus. They also kicked off 2025 with the single  'Little Miss Suicide (25)', marking 25th years since releasing their debut single.

As of April 22, 'Brighter Future' is available from fine digital platforms, including Amazon, and also directly from the artist via BandcampThe full album 'The Enemy Is Us' will be released on June 20 via Liquid Len Recording Company.

RAVEN BLACK IGNITES THE FLAME WITH FIERY NEW SINGLE “BURN” THE LATEST CHAPTER OF THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM ”BLACK SONATA” Due Out September 12

The circus of the macabre returns — louder, darker, and more ferocious than ever.

The haunting, genre-defying force known as RAVEN BLACK has unleashed the next chapter in their unfolding gothic metal opera. “BURN” — the second single from the highly anticipated full-length album

Black Sonata"BURN" is available now across all streaming platforms.

“Burn” follows the success of “FXCK YOU,” the album’s first single, and continues the narrative arc of Black Sonata — an album that promises to be RAVEN BLACK'S most ambitious and immersive work to date. Drawing from classical influences, dark theater, and spine-rattling metalcore, this album is a journey into the void... with the devil grinning from the passenger seat.

Produced by Ulrich Wild (Static-X, White Zombie, Deftones), “Burn” is an infernal symphony of heavy guitars, industrial textures, and Raven’s unmistakable blend of haunting melody and psychotic screams.

CLICK TO PREORDER HERE "BLACK SONATA"

Meet RAVEN BLACK, a theatrical metal act originally from Los Angeles. Their unique brand of metal, influenced by gothic, classical, and heavy metal music, serves as the soundtrack to vocalist Raven's duality as she shares her story of being a hybrid of both dark and light.

Drawing from a myriad of musical inspirations, RAVEN BLACK expertly blends elements from their favorite art forms, including movies, ethnic backgrounds, and personal life experiences. Each song is crafted to take fans on an adventure, offering new perspectives and understandings. Their sound ranges from melodic to dark, fun to raging and psychotic—yet every track tells a story.

At the heart of their narrative lies a comic book character: a girl whose innocence was taken at a young age. Overcoming her demons and cursed by her predators, she discovers she is half human, half doll. The doll within her is dark, and as she embraces her inner darkness, she travels with her demons who protect her from those seeking to steal her inner power.

She is the key.

Eric Church's 'Evangeline Vs. The Machine' Listening Events Set for May 2-4 at Indie Record Stores Nationwide

Indie record stores across the country will come alive the weekend of May 2–4 as over 100 locations celebrate the arrival of Eric Church’s highly anticipated new album, Evangeline vs. The Machinewith exclusive listening events. The first fans in each store will be treated to a limited-edition Eric Church poster and all attendees will have the chance to enter a special grand prize giveaway. Full details including participating locations can be found at recordstoreday.com.

Arriving May 2, Evangeline vs. The Machine marks another ambitious and sonically rich chapter in the groundbreaking career of one of country music’s most fearless storytellers. Anchored by lead single “Hands of Time” – which debuted as the most-added song at Country radio and earned Church a new personal record for first-week impact with 135 stations – the album is available to pre-order/pre-save HERE.

Fans attending the listening events will hear the new project in full, an experience Church places heavy importance on when creating. A self-proclaimed “album artist,” Church has always championed the power of cohesive storytelling, and Evangeline vs. The Machine is no exception. “An album is a snapshot in time that lasts for all time,” Church shares of the creative approach behind the highly-anticipated new project. “I believe in that time-tested tradition of making records that live and breathe as one piece of art – I think it’s important.”

“I’ve always let creativity be the muse. It’s been a compass for me,” he adds. “The people that I look up to in my career and the kind of musicians I gravitate to never did what I thought they were going to do next – and I love them for it. I never want our fans to get an album and go, ‘Oh, that’s like Chief or that’s like this.’ Painstakingly, I lose sleep at night to try to make sure that whatever we do creatively, they go, ‘Wow, that's not what I thought.’ I think that's my job as an artist.”

Church will also bring the new music and his esteemed catalog to life onstage later this spring and summer with a run of high-profile shows, kicking off with two To Beat The Devil residency shows at London’s revered Royal Albert Hall on May 16-17 before a sold-out, two-night takeover of Nashville’s The Pinnacle May 23–24 for Evangeline vs. The Machine Live. In July, he heads west for what has become a roughly once-a-decade experience at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where fans can expect a unique set each evening across three sold-out shows: Eric Church vs. The Machine; Eric Church vs. The ECB; and Eric Church vs. The Guitar.

About Eric Church
A seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including the 2020 award for Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee – including three nods for Best Country Album, Eric Church has amassed a passionate fan base around his critically acclaimed catalog of music. Church’s October 2024 release, “Darkest Hour,” saw the superstar signing over all of his publishing royalties to the people of North Carolina to provide immediate relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene while also providing ongoing funds to support a more resilient future for his home state. The song is featured alongside current single “Hands Of Time” on his forthcoming album, Evangeline vs. The Machine arriving May 2, marking his first new music since 2021’s Heart & Soul triple album (“Stick That In Your Country Song,” “Hell Of A View”). That project followed prior releases including RIAA Gold-certified Desperate Man (“Some Of It,” “Desperate Man”), Platinum-certified Sinners Like Me (“How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me”), Carolina (“Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most”) and Mr. Misunderstood (“Record Year,” “Round Here Buzz”), Double-Platinum certified The Outsiders (“Like a Wrecking Ball,” “Talladega”) and 4x Platinum-certified Chief (“Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand”), as well as 32 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified songs. Church is also a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, a co-owner of the iconic Field & Stream brand, has his own SiriusXM music channel, “Eric Church Outsiders Radio,” his own liquor offering, Whiskey JYPSI, and recently celebrated the first anniversary Chief’s, his six-story venue on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway.

JOHN MORGAN AND JASON ALDEAN TOP THE COUNTRY RADIO CHART

Billboard’s “Rookie of the Month (Country)” and MULTI #1 hit songwriter John Morgan scores career-first #1 as an artist (third as a songwriter) with the rowdy party starter “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean).” Featured on his debut album, Carolina Blue, dropping this Friday, April 25, pre-order/pre-save/pre-add the highly anticipated project HERE that has already achieved critical acclaim.

Lauded as an “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), an “accomplished songwriter” (People) and a “Music City Songwriting Star” (Tennessean), the boldly gritty North Carolinian will deliver a tantalizingly robust 12-track debut, proving his preeminence as an dynamically versatile artist ready to takeover the country music scene. A brilliantly curated collection of songs, the authentically humble and tenaciously driven powerhouse artist not only co-wrote every track and played every guitar, but he also co-produced it alongside Brent Anderson.

With “stadium-ready written all over him” (All Country News), the compelling entertainer who exudes “undeniable star power” (Country Swag) will make his Stagecoach Festival debut this Friday (4/25), before hitting the road to open for Kane Brown, Old Dominion and Riley Green on select dates this summer.

About John Morgan:
With a style that’s defined by melodic grit and a craftsman’s approach to songwriting, John Morgan brings a blue-collar toughness to country that’s pulled straight from the only life he knows. Hailing from a tiny town called Sylva, deep in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, John grew up immersed in bluegrass tradition and even toured the festival circuit each summer in a family band, before diving into songwriting, inspired by six-string legends from Tony Rice to John Mayer. Now, “a Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), he has earned cuts with Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett and an outstanding 16 for Jason Aldean, including two of the superstar’s #1 songs - “Trouble With A Heartbreak” and the GRAMMY® nominated, ACM Single of the Year “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, along with Aldean’s latest single at country radio “Whiskey Drink” currently climbing the charts. Signed to Aldean’s Night Train Records, his imprint with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, the sought-after, powerhouse artist has made his Grand Ole Opry debut and logged hours on the road opening for Aldean, ERNEST, Riley Green, Nate Smith, Jameson Rodgers and more. Now, his party starter smash “Friends Like That” - featuring Jason Aldean - is his first #1 at country radio as an artist (third as a songwriter), with the Tennessean praising the “live concert favorite whose banjo and steel underpinnings still allow room for a hard-rocking core.” Giving fans a taste of new music with the striking “Kid Myself,” jaunty “Crickets,” confident “I Know Better” and heartrendingly smooth “Long Ride Home,” John Morgan’s highly anticipated debut album, Carolina Blue, drops this Friday, April 25 and features his career-first #1 single.

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal Band DARKFLOW Release New Single "Press The Button"

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal band DARKFLOW have released their latest single “Press The Button”, a harrowing and theatrical descent into apocalyptic madness. The track marks the second release from the band’s highly anticipated new album Imminent End, out May 2025.

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy LaRocque (legendary guitarist of King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studio in Sweden, Imminent End is a concept album that takes listeners through a dark and chaotic vision of the world’s collapse. LaRocque not only helmed the production but also contributes a blistering guest solo on the epic track “The Last Symphony.” Brian Bendahan did the orchestration of all the songs.

The new single “Press The Button” features guest Ed Nicod on rhythm guitars and bass(Algebra, Impure Wilhelmina). The band explains:

“This is a brutal and apocalyptic track where General Sean Horror, the General from hell, manipulates a global leader into launching all nuclear bombs. Instead of pressing the button himself, he revels in psychological torment, forcing his victim to do it. As God descends to destroy Earth, Sean Horror races to bring the end first—proving that hell always wins. Dark, theatrical, and relentless, this song is pure devastation set to music.”

The forthcoming album Imminent End explores themes of divine judgment, human depravity, and cosmic destruction. DARKFLOW crafts a world where each track reveals a different path to ruin—tsunamis, wars, existential despair—culminating in a battle between heaven’s wrath and hell’s vengeance.

“This album is about the world’s end, each track a vision of how everything falls apart. I embody Sean Horror, returning from hell to destroy the Earth before God can. It’s a race for apocalypse. ‘Press The Button’ finds Sean forcing a powerful man to unleash nuclear chaos. And the final song, ‘Whistles From The Sky,’ is my laughter as I’ve outdone God—winning the destruction of mankind and ushering in the end of all civilization.”

With Imminent End, DARKFLOW cement their place as masters of sonic horror, blending goth, shock metal, and theatrical narrative into a terrifying and unforgettable experience.

Jersey Shore Rockers TRIGGER Share Classic Track "One In A Million"

In early 1979, TRIGGER walked out of Electric Lady Studios with a completed second album. Mere months had passed since their self-titled debut came out on Casablanca Records, home to KISS and Parliament. The band had toured with Cheap Trick and The Godz, met Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell, and things were looking bright.

But, Casablanca unexpectedly went bankrupt, and the label’s artists went into freefall. TRIGGER unsuccessfully sought interested parties, shelved the recordings and disbanded; a disappointing end for a band who dominated the Jersey Shore club scene on their way up with fiery, kick ass live shows.

RIP TRIGGER: 1973-1979.

Jump to 2024. Guitarist Richie House is living in Northern New Jersey with his wife, enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the community pool with neighbors. One of them, Andrew Wexler, is shocked to discover his friend had a band in the ‘70s. He listens to their recordings, and as an avid record collector, assumes the mission of getting that unheard second album released. He writes to Ba Da Bing, a label with Jersey roots. Much excitement ensues.

The long-awaited release, 'Second Round,' will now be available on May 30th. All original members — Derek Remington (vocals/drums), Jimmy Duggan (guitar/vocals), Tom Nigra(bass guitar/backing vocals), and Richie House (lead guitar/vocals) — are present on the recordings. Sadly, Duggan and Nigra have passed away, but Remington and House have overseen this reissue, with songs sourced directly from the analog masters.. The TRIGGER of today maintains a high level of quality, albeit with a bit less flair, and even less hair.

And there’s more going on here than at first listen. While the band carries the earmarks of their era - melodic hard-rock fashioned for Saturday night parties - they override the cliché with incredibly catchy songs. How would a ripping song like “Back Talk” have been received in 1979? It’s a question we’ll never be able to answer, but the raw energy of the track spans generations. “One In A Million,” however, with its full harmonies and forceful chorus, could have easily made the soundtrack for Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Celebrate the discovery of this lost gem by giving it a listen. You’ll be TRIGGER happy…

Listen to "One In A Million"

In the mid ’70s, TRIGGER earned a reputation along the Jersey Shore for their electrifying live shows, airtight harmonies, and arena-ready riffs, earning them a deal with Casablanca Records thanks to support from labelmates KISS. They are the reason Foreigner didn’t name themselves TRIGGER, as first planned. Upon finishing their second album, Casablancaabruptly shuttered, their album shelved. Now, decades later, 'Second Round' will finally be heard, offering a time capsule to a band at peak creativity—undeniably powerful, unapologetically melodic, and long overdue for recognition.

'Second Round' finally brings to life the lost chapter of TRIGGER’s story. Their 1978 self-titled debut showcased dynamic songwriting and relentless energy, leading them to tour with Cheap Trick and The Godz. They quickly begin work on a second album. Recorded at the legendary Record Plant and Electric Lady Studios, 'Second Round' would be the next step, but it was never released. Thanks to a record-collecting friend of guitarist Richie House, Ba Da Bing was made aware of this offense and devised plans to right things.

“One In A Million” is probably their most radio-ready song for 1979. It starts with a blaring synth running on the beat before breaking into a killer guitar riff. All of it builds to the chorus, with all band members singing backup. This is the second single Ba Da Bing has shared off 'Second Round' and a fine taster of what’s to come.

Danish Musical Virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE Announces New Album ‘Electric Dream’ Set For Release On June 27th, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl

Today, Danish musical virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE is excited to announce the release of his new studio album, 'Electric Dreams,' due out on June 27, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl. In addition, following his latest singles “Route 65” and “Limitless,” SONNE has unveiled the album’s title track along with an accompanying lyric video, which you can view below.

Talking about the title track, NICKLAS SONNE commented:

'Electric Dreams' tells the story of that fleeting, electric connection - the kind that leaves your mind spinning long after the moment has passed. It’s about being completely drawn to someone you barely know, and the haunting question that lingers: did she feel it too, or was I just another guy in a bar?”

Describing the album, he added:

“This record is a deeply personal journey back to where it all began for me - to the raw energy and spirit of my earliest musical inspirations. It blends the soul of old school hard rock with the punch and clarity of a modern production, creating a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and new."

Watch the Lyric Video for “Electric Dreams"

NICKLAS SONNE is a Danish musician, vocalist, guitarist, and producer known for his powerful presence in progressive and heavy metal. He began his musical journey as a drummer before moving on to guitar and ultimately becoming a singer-songwriter in a variety of metal and hard rock projects—starting with Defecto, one of Denmark’s leading metal bands, formed in 2010.

In addition to Defecto, NICKLAS is part of Aries Descendant alongside Jonah Weingarten(Pyramaze, Catalyst Crime). The dynamic duo released their debut album via Frontiers Music Srl on October 18th, 2024. It’s a groundbreaking project that seamlessly fuses the evocative allure of film music with the raw power of heavy metal, creating an auditory experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.

A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, NICKLAS honed his skills by playing along to Metallica and Dream Theater, later diving into songwriting and production. His talent quickly gained industry attention, leading to collaborations with renowned producers Jan Langhoff(Aqua) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica). This pivotal period helped shape his signature sound—progressive metal infused with orchestral and choral elements.

Other bands SONNE has been involved with include Evil Masquerade, Theory, Hank Shermann, One Machine, Waving Memories, Section A, Metallica Jam, Wasted, and Omvendt Korstog. His long career has included international tours in countries such as Japan and support slots for metal heavyweights like Metallica and Rammstein.

With a relentless work ethic and a passion for musical innovation, NICKLAS SONNE continues to push the boundaries of modern metal, cementing his reputation as one of the most dynamic artists in the genre today. His solo album is a collection of songs that showcases the immense talent of this artist—who also handled production duties himself.

Wolves at the Gate Drop "LAW OF THE [Waste]LAND" Visualizer

Wolves at the Gate will release new album Wasteland on May 30 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared the "LAW OF THE [Waste]LAND"  visualizer.

Watch it below

"The song is a reflection on a world and humanity that has lost its grip on true justice," says singer/guitarist Stephen Cobucci. "But this isn't anything new. History tells endless stories of war, genocide, and injustice and a seemingly endless list of atrocities. There is something terribly broken in us by nature that exalts self-preservation. I've seen it firsthand in my own heart. I saw this confirmed to me by the words of an old Psalmist when he said, 'None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.' As much as I tried to fight the reality of that truth, an honest look at myself told the same story."

He continues, "The song explores how we become both victims and enforcers of a merciless code. We cry out for justice but live by vengeance, doing what seems right in our own eyes while blaming the fallout on anything but ourselves. In the Wasteland, we crown ourselves as judge, jury, and executioner, all while crying out for peace we can't create. While confronting the chaos, we've normalized. We were hoping to ask a deeper question: What is left for the soul, when we abandon mercy and truth in pursuit of self-rule and self-preservation? Can mercy still come to the merciless?"

The song starts out ominously and quickly escalates to all fists and fury, alongside a groove that just won't quit. It's got ALL of the bounce.

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Their vision unfolded across albums such as Captors [2012], VxV [2014], Types & Shadows [2016], Eclipse [2019], and Eulogies [2022]. Blabbermouth rated the latter "9.0-out-of-10.0," while mxdwn summed it up as "powerfully moving." Along the way, the group tallied tens of millions of streams fueled by the likes of "Counterfeit," "Deadman," "Lowborn," "Peace That Starts The War," and more. Not to mention, they've performed alongside everyone from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Red to Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris. In 2024, a core idea screamed out to guitarist Steve Cobucci, shaping the creative direction of the band's next evolution. It slowly, but surely seeped into the DNA of the music and his words.

"As I was working on the album and especially the lyrics, I began to realize that the Wasteland was a metaphor for a frame of mind that I don't want to live in, but a world I feel myself drawn back into over and over again," Cobucci reveals. "I hate it. It's a world of empty promises. It's a mirage. A counterfeit."

The musicians carefully pieced together what would become Wasteland. Cobucci co-produced the 13-track body of work with Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, while the band recorded in New Jersey, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This time around, they added multiple dimensions to their signature sound, layering intriguing interludes and electronic overtures into the framework.

Wallen Reveals 37-Song Tracklist feat. Collabs with Tate McRae, Post Malone, Eric Church & More

After spending the past few weeks teasing song titles from his upcoming album I’m The Problem on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, Morgan Wallen is revealing the full tracklist to the robust 37-song project. Featuring collaborations with pop superstars Post Malone and Tate McRae, plus close friends Eric Church, ERNEST and HARDY, I’m The Problem arrives May 16. Pre-save HERE.

The album opens with the title track, “I’m The Problem,” a cutting double-edged confession that reveals the complexities of a relationship at its lowest point. It concludes with “I’m A Little Crazy,” a quiet, self-reflective song that looks inward while examining the world outside. Between all of that, Wallen displays his ability to reach listeners on a granular level.

While Wallen co-wrote 22 of the tracks on the album, he tapped into 49 songwriters, curating a tracklist that’s both deeply personal and resonant, while viewing life events through a different lens than he’s used in the past.

“A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” Wallen says of the writing and refining process. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I haven't said in this record, which I'm really, really proud of.”

I Ain’t Comin’ Back (Feat. Post Malone),” available Friday, marks the duo’s second collaboration following the crossover success of “I Had Some Help” last year, which recently topped two billion global streams. Written by Wallen, Louis Bell, Michael Hardy, Austin Post, Ernest Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, and produced by Joey Moi, “I Ain’t Comin’ Back” teases a cheeky play-on-words, as the guy leaves the relationship, vowing never to return: There’s a lot of reasons I ain't Jesus / But the main one is that I ain’t coming back.

Pre-save “I Ain’t Comin’ Back (Feat. Post Malone)” ahead of Friday, HERE.

Wallen recently became the first artist ever to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. With each album, Wallen has refined his music, but with this one, Wallen digs even deeper, providing a glimpse into his life that feels more intimate, more grounded and closer to his core.

The project sparked Wallen’s 2025 I’m The Problem Tour. Kicking off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, Wallen’s 20-show run will include stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more. With a second stop recently added in Madison, Wisconsin, Wallen’s appearances will mark the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel join in direct support with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson as first-of-three across select dates. Coupled with Wallen’s Sand In My Boots Festival, these 21 shows are the only place to see the superstar in 2025.

FALLUJAH DEBUTS NEW SINGLE 'LABYRINTH OF STONE'

Progressive death metal masters FALLUJAH have revealed the second single, ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ from their upcoming 6th album, Xenotaph, that’s due out June 13th from Nuclear Blast Records.

Commenting on the new single, founding guitarist Scott Carstairs states:

‘Labyrinth of Stone’ is nearly six minutes of pure, mind-bending tech death and prog. From start to finish, this track will tear your face off. We guarantee you’ve never heard Fallujah like this before. Prepare your ear holes and eyeballs for one of the most ridiculous tracks and music videos we’ve ever produced.

Speaking about the album, vocalist Kyle Schaefer says:

We are excited to finally reveal Fallujah’s new album Xenotaph, marking the sixth chapter in our discography. This is our most ambitious record yet, and is certainly the band’s most technical, dynamic and progressive material to date. The music carried out by these eight tracks is matched with an equally ambitious concept, a lyrical story that traverses unfolding layers of time and reality in an otherworldly, post-death realm of existence.

Xenotaph is also our most collaborative album, with broad input from the current lineup leading us to expand the scope of our songwriting while simultaneously highlighting the true potential of everyone involved. We hope you’ll join us in welcoming this bold new stage of the band’s evolution.

About FALLUJAH:

Prog death-metal outfit FALLUJAH expand horizons and solidify their position as one of America’s most exciting acts on their new album, Xenotaph, through Nuclear Blast. The quintet’s confidence in the lineup that made their previous album, Empyrean (2022), such a resounding success—earning high marks from Metal Injection, New Noise, and Guitar World—has been reconfigured slightly, with guitarist Sam Mooradian (INHALE EXISTENCE, SAM MOORADIAN) and drummer Kevin Alexander (DISEMBODIED TYRANT, BROUGHT BY PAIN) bringing their jaw-dropping musical proficiency to the fold, as vocalist Kyle Schaefer, guitarist Scott Carstairs, and bassist Evan Brewer enter a new chapter with FALLUJAH. Moored by singles ‘Kaleidoscopic Waves,’ ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ and ‘Step Through the Portal and Breathe,’ Xenotaph is FALLUJAH personified, reinvigorated, and re-imagined.

Xenotaph was produced by FALLUJAH, engineered by Dave Otero (CATTLE DECAPITATION, ARCHSPIRE) and Mike Low (VITRIOL, ABORTED) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado and Top Track Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Otero also mixed and mastered Xenotaph. The main goal was elevation, building upon yet soaring upward from Empyrean, one of the group’s strongest productions to date. The team focused the separation of FALLUJAH’s breakneck pace, meticulous songcraft, euphonious leads, and unrivaled intensity, creating an experience pulls the listener into Xenotaph’s high-caliber music and concept.

Beyond releasing Xenotaph to an anticipating fanbase, FALLUJAH take aim at the road, drawing upon the success of their Empyrean runs. Indeed, attendees to the group’s live performances have witnessed some of Xenotaph’s songs already, namely the shimmery prog-bounce and inner world horror of ‘The Obsidian Architect.’ FALLUJAH are in a perpetual state of evolution, and Xenotaphdemonstrates the group’s hard-won, if profound journey. For there is no reverse—only forward progress, and the path ahead is illuminating before them. Step through the portal if you dare…
