Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal Band DARKFLOW Release New Single "Press The Button"

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal band DARKFLOW have released their latest single “Press The Button”, a harrowing and theatrical descent into apocalyptic madness. The track marks the second release from the band’s highly anticipated new album Imminent End, out May 2025.

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy LaRocque (legendary guitarist of King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studio in Sweden, Imminent End is a concept album that takes listeners through a dark and chaotic vision of the world’s collapse. LaRocque not only helmed the production but also contributes a blistering guest solo on the epic track “The Last Symphony.” Brian Bendahan did the orchestration of all the songs.

The new single “Press The Button” features guest Ed Nicod on rhythm guitars and bass(Algebra, Impure Wilhelmina). The band explains:

“This is a brutal and apocalyptic track where General Sean Horror, the General from hell, manipulates a global leader into launching all nuclear bombs. Instead of pressing the button himself, he revels in psychological torment, forcing his victim to do it. As God descends to destroy Earth, Sean Horror races to bring the end first—proving that hell always wins. Dark, theatrical, and relentless, this song is pure devastation set to music.”

The forthcoming album Imminent End explores themes of divine judgment, human depravity, and cosmic destruction. DARKFLOW crafts a world where each track reveals a different path to ruin—tsunamis, wars, existential despair—culminating in a battle between heaven’s wrath and hell’s vengeance.

“This album is about the world’s end, each track a vision of how everything falls apart. I embody Sean Horror, returning from hell to destroy the Earth before God can. It’s a race for apocalypse. ‘Press The Button’ finds Sean forcing a powerful man to unleash nuclear chaos. And the final song, ‘Whistles From The Sky,’ is my laughter as I’ve outdone God—winning the destruction of mankind and ushering in the end of all civilization.”

With Imminent End, DARKFLOW cement their place as masters of sonic horror, blending goth, shock metal, and theatrical narrative into a terrifying and unforgettable experience.

Jersey Shore Rockers TRIGGER Share Classic Track "One In A Million"

In early 1979, TRIGGER walked out of Electric Lady Studios with a completed second album. Mere months had passed since their self-titled debut came out on Casablanca Records, home to KISS and Parliament. The band had toured with Cheap Trick and The Godz, met Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell, and things were looking bright.

But, Casablanca unexpectedly went bankrupt, and the label’s artists went into freefall. TRIGGER unsuccessfully sought interested parties, shelved the recordings and disbanded; a disappointing end for a band who dominated the Jersey Shore club scene on their way up with fiery, kick ass live shows.

RIP TRIGGER: 1973-1979.

Jump to 2024. Guitarist Richie House is living in Northern New Jersey with his wife, enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the community pool with neighbors. One of them, Andrew Wexler, is shocked to discover his friend had a band in the ‘70s. He listens to their recordings, and as an avid record collector, assumes the mission of getting that unheard second album released. He writes to Ba Da Bing, a label with Jersey roots. Much excitement ensues.

The long-awaited release, 'Second Round,' will now be available on May 30th. All original members — Derek Remington (vocals/drums), Jimmy Duggan (guitar/vocals), Tom Nigra(bass guitar/backing vocals), and Richie House (lead guitar/vocals) — are present on the recordings. Sadly, Duggan and Nigra have passed away, but Remington and House have overseen this reissue, with songs sourced directly from the analog masters.. The TRIGGER of today maintains a high level of quality, albeit with a bit less flair, and even less hair.

And there’s more going on here than at first listen. While the band carries the earmarks of their era - melodic hard-rock fashioned for Saturday night parties - they override the cliché with incredibly catchy songs. How would a ripping song like “Back Talk” have been received in 1979? It’s a question we’ll never be able to answer, but the raw energy of the track spans generations. “One In A Million,” however, with its full harmonies and forceful chorus, could have easily made the soundtrack for Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Celebrate the discovery of this lost gem by giving it a listen. You’ll be TRIGGER happy…

Listen to "One In A Million"

In the mid ’70s, TRIGGER earned a reputation along the Jersey Shore for their electrifying live shows, airtight harmonies, and arena-ready riffs, earning them a deal with Casablanca Records thanks to support from labelmates KISS. They are the reason Foreigner didn’t name themselves TRIGGER, as first planned. Upon finishing their second album, Casablancaabruptly shuttered, their album shelved. Now, decades later, 'Second Round' will finally be heard, offering a time capsule to a band at peak creativity—undeniably powerful, unapologetically melodic, and long overdue for recognition.

'Second Round' finally brings to life the lost chapter of TRIGGER’s story. Their 1978 self-titled debut showcased dynamic songwriting and relentless energy, leading them to tour with Cheap Trick and The Godz. They quickly begin work on a second album. Recorded at the legendary Record Plant and Electric Lady Studios, 'Second Round' would be the next step, but it was never released. Thanks to a record-collecting friend of guitarist Richie House, Ba Da Bing was made aware of this offense and devised plans to right things.

“One In A Million” is probably their most radio-ready song for 1979. It starts with a blaring synth running on the beat before breaking into a killer guitar riff. All of it builds to the chorus, with all band members singing backup. This is the second single Ba Da Bing has shared off 'Second Round' and a fine taster of what’s to come.

Danish Musical Virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE Announces New Album ‘Electric Dream’ Set For Release On June 27th, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl

Today, Danish musical virtuoso NICKLAS SONNE is excited to announce the release of his new studio album, 'Electric Dreams,' due out on June 27, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl. In addition, following his latest singles “Route 65” and “Limitless,” SONNE has unveiled the album’s title track along with an accompanying lyric video, which you can view below.

Talking about the title track, NICKLAS SONNE commented:

'Electric Dreams' tells the story of that fleeting, electric connection - the kind that leaves your mind spinning long after the moment has passed. It’s about being completely drawn to someone you barely know, and the haunting question that lingers: did she feel it too, or was I just another guy in a bar?”

Describing the album, he added:

“This record is a deeply personal journey back to where it all began for me - to the raw energy and spirit of my earliest musical inspirations. It blends the soul of old school hard rock with the punch and clarity of a modern production, creating a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and new."

Watch the Lyric Video for “Electric Dreams"

NICKLAS SONNE is a Danish musician, vocalist, guitarist, and producer known for his powerful presence in progressive and heavy metal. He began his musical journey as a drummer before moving on to guitar and ultimately becoming a singer-songwriter in a variety of metal and hard rock projects—starting with Defecto, one of Denmark’s leading metal bands, formed in 2010.

In addition to Defecto, NICKLAS is part of Aries Descendant alongside Jonah Weingarten(Pyramaze, Catalyst Crime). The dynamic duo released their debut album via Frontiers Music Srl on October 18th, 2024. It’s a groundbreaking project that seamlessly fuses the evocative allure of film music with the raw power of heavy metal, creating an auditory experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.

A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, NICKLAS honed his skills by playing along to Metallica and Dream Theater, later diving into songwriting and production. His talent quickly gained industry attention, leading to collaborations with renowned producers Jan Langhoff(Aqua) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica). This pivotal period helped shape his signature sound—progressive metal infused with orchestral and choral elements.

Other bands SONNE has been involved with include Evil Masquerade, Theory, Hank Shermann, One Machine, Waving Memories, Section A, Metallica Jam, Wasted, and Omvendt Korstog. His long career has included international tours in countries such as Japan and support slots for metal heavyweights like Metallica and Rammstein.

With a relentless work ethic and a passion for musical innovation, NICKLAS SONNE continues to push the boundaries of modern metal, cementing his reputation as one of the most dynamic artists in the genre today. His solo album is a collection of songs that showcases the immense talent of this artist—who also handled production duties himself.

Wolves at the Gate Drop "LAW OF THE [Waste]LAND" Visualizer

Wolves at the Gate will release new album Wasteland on May 30 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared the "LAW OF THE [Waste]LAND"  visualizer.

Watch it below

"The song is a reflection on a world and humanity that has lost its grip on true justice," says singer/guitarist Stephen Cobucci. "But this isn't anything new. History tells endless stories of war, genocide, and injustice and a seemingly endless list of atrocities. There is something terribly broken in us by nature that exalts self-preservation. I've seen it firsthand in my own heart. I saw this confirmed to me by the words of an old Psalmist when he said, 'None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.' As much as I tried to fight the reality of that truth, an honest look at myself told the same story."

He continues, "The song explores how we become both victims and enforcers of a merciless code. We cry out for justice but live by vengeance, doing what seems right in our own eyes while blaming the fallout on anything but ourselves. In the Wasteland, we crown ourselves as judge, jury, and executioner, all while crying out for peace we can't create. While confronting the chaos, we've normalized. We were hoping to ask a deeper question: What is left for the soul, when we abandon mercy and truth in pursuit of self-rule and self-preservation? Can mercy still come to the merciless?"

The song starts out ominously and quickly escalates to all fists and fury, alongside a groove that just won't quit. It's got ALL of the bounce.

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Their vision unfolded across albums such as Captors [2012], VxV [2014], Types & Shadows [2016], Eclipse [2019], and Eulogies [2022]. Blabbermouth rated the latter "9.0-out-of-10.0," while mxdwn summed it up as "powerfully moving." Along the way, the group tallied tens of millions of streams fueled by the likes of "Counterfeit," "Deadman," "Lowborn," "Peace That Starts The War," and more. Not to mention, they've performed alongside everyone from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Red to Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris. In 2024, a core idea screamed out to guitarist Steve Cobucci, shaping the creative direction of the band's next evolution. It slowly, but surely seeped into the DNA of the music and his words.

"As I was working on the album and especially the lyrics, I began to realize that the Wasteland was a metaphor for a frame of mind that I don't want to live in, but a world I feel myself drawn back into over and over again," Cobucci reveals. "I hate it. It's a world of empty promises. It's a mirage. A counterfeit."

The musicians carefully pieced together what would become Wasteland. Cobucci co-produced the 13-track body of work with Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, while the band recorded in New Jersey, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This time around, they added multiple dimensions to their signature sound, layering intriguing interludes and electronic overtures into the framework.

Wallen Reveals 37-Song Tracklist feat. Collabs with Tate McRae, Post Malone, Eric Church & More

After spending the past few weeks teasing song titles from his upcoming album I’m The Problem on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, Morgan Wallen is revealing the full tracklist to the robust 37-song project. Featuring collaborations with pop superstars Post Malone and Tate McRae, plus close friends Eric Church, ERNEST and HARDY, I’m The Problem arrives May 16. Pre-save HERE.

The album opens with the title track, “I’m The Problem,” a cutting double-edged confession that reveals the complexities of a relationship at its lowest point. It concludes with “I’m A Little Crazy,” a quiet, self-reflective song that looks inward while examining the world outside. Between all of that, Wallen displays his ability to reach listeners on a granular level.

While Wallen co-wrote 22 of the tracks on the album, he tapped into 49 songwriters, curating a tracklist that’s both deeply personal and resonant, while viewing life events through a different lens than he’s used in the past.

“A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” Wallen says of the writing and refining process. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I haven't said in this record, which I'm really, really proud of.”

I Ain’t Comin’ Back (Feat. Post Malone),” available Friday, marks the duo’s second collaboration following the crossover success of “I Had Some Help” last year, which recently topped two billion global streams. Written by Wallen, Louis Bell, Michael Hardy, Austin Post, Ernest Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, and produced by Joey Moi, “I Ain’t Comin’ Back” teases a cheeky play-on-words, as the guy leaves the relationship, vowing never to return: There’s a lot of reasons I ain't Jesus / But the main one is that I ain’t coming back.

Pre-save “I Ain’t Comin’ Back (Feat. Post Malone)” ahead of Friday, HERE.

Wallen recently became the first artist ever to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. With each album, Wallen has refined his music, but with this one, Wallen digs even deeper, providing a glimpse into his life that feels more intimate, more grounded and closer to his core.

The project sparked Wallen’s 2025 I’m The Problem Tour. Kicking off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, Wallen’s 20-show run will include stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more. With a second stop recently added in Madison, Wisconsin, Wallen’s appearances will mark the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel join in direct support with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson as first-of-three across select dates. Coupled with Wallen’s Sand In My Boots Festival, these 21 shows are the only place to see the superstar in 2025.

FALLUJAH DEBUTS NEW SINGLE 'LABYRINTH OF STONE'

Progressive death metal masters FALLUJAH have revealed the second single, ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ from their upcoming 6th album, Xenotaph, that’s due out June 13th from Nuclear Blast Records.

Commenting on the new single, founding guitarist Scott Carstairs states:

‘Labyrinth of Stone’ is nearly six minutes of pure, mind-bending tech death and prog. From start to finish, this track will tear your face off. We guarantee you’ve never heard Fallujah like this before. Prepare your ear holes and eyeballs for one of the most ridiculous tracks and music videos we’ve ever produced.

Speaking about the album, vocalist Kyle Schaefer says:

We are excited to finally reveal Fallujah’s new album Xenotaph, marking the sixth chapter in our discography. This is our most ambitious record yet, and is certainly the band’s most technical, dynamic and progressive material to date. The music carried out by these eight tracks is matched with an equally ambitious concept, a lyrical story that traverses unfolding layers of time and reality in an otherworldly, post-death realm of existence.

Xenotaph is also our most collaborative album, with broad input from the current lineup leading us to expand the scope of our songwriting while simultaneously highlighting the true potential of everyone involved. We hope you’ll join us in welcoming this bold new stage of the band’s evolution.

About FALLUJAH:

Prog death-metal outfit FALLUJAH expand horizons and solidify their position as one of America’s most exciting acts on their new album, Xenotaph, through Nuclear Blast. The quintet’s confidence in the lineup that made their previous album, Empyrean (2022), such a resounding success—earning high marks from Metal Injection, New Noise, and Guitar World—has been reconfigured slightly, with guitarist Sam Mooradian (INHALE EXISTENCE, SAM MOORADIAN) and drummer Kevin Alexander (DISEMBODIED TYRANT, BROUGHT BY PAIN) bringing their jaw-dropping musical proficiency to the fold, as vocalist Kyle Schaefer, guitarist Scott Carstairs, and bassist Evan Brewer enter a new chapter with FALLUJAH. Moored by singles ‘Kaleidoscopic Waves,’ ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ and ‘Step Through the Portal and Breathe,’ Xenotaph is FALLUJAH personified, reinvigorated, and re-imagined.

Xenotaph was produced by FALLUJAH, engineered by Dave Otero (CATTLE DECAPITATION, ARCHSPIRE) and Mike Low (VITRIOL, ABORTED) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado and Top Track Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Otero also mixed and mastered Xenotaph. The main goal was elevation, building upon yet soaring upward from Empyrean, one of the group’s strongest productions to date. The team focused the separation of FALLUJAH’s breakneck pace, meticulous songcraft, euphonious leads, and unrivaled intensity, creating an experience pulls the listener into Xenotaph’s high-caliber music and concept.

Beyond releasing Xenotaph to an anticipating fanbase, FALLUJAH take aim at the road, drawing upon the success of their Empyrean runs. Indeed, attendees to the group’s live performances have witnessed some of Xenotaph’s songs already, namely the shimmery prog-bounce and inner world horror of ‘The Obsidian Architect.’ FALLUJAH are in a perpetual state of evolution, and Xenotaphdemonstrates the group’s hard-won, if profound journey. For there is no reverse—only forward progress, and the path ahead is illuminating before them. Step through the portal if you dare…

Renowned Rock Singer RUSS BALLARD Shares New Single “I Know There's Something Going On”

Today, renowned rock singer RUSS BALLARD is pleased to share his new single and accompanying video “I Know There's Something Going On,” taken from his upcoming double album 'Songs From The Warehouse / The Hits Rewired,' out on April 25th, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl.

This release is a real treat for all rock fans: the first CD contains new songs, which show once again that the inspiration never left RUSS, while the second CD includes brand new recordings of famous hits either penned or performed by him during the years.

About the new single, RUSS BALLARD says:

“That was a quick one. I wrote it when the first digital reverbs came out. I played around with these new sounds, took my holey guitar and that’s it. It took me an hour to write it from start to finish. Phil Collins turned it into a massive song then with his drum sound. Years later, Fridasaid she wished I did more songs for her. How lovely from her.”

BALLARD also expresses his excitement for the album:

“It’s a buzz releasing a new album. What started as my 'Lockdown-tapes' during the pandemic became an album! During lockdown, my studio was a life saver for me, and I found new ways of writing and recording. The result gives the listeners a good insight into this time - have a listen!”

Watch the Video for “I Know There's Something Going On” below

RUSS BALLARD is simply one of the most renowned and gifted songwriters in pop and rock music. His music career started when he was only 14 years old and he wrote a tune, which was recorded by The Shadows, appearing on their album 'The Sound Of The Shadows' in 1964.

During the 70’s and 80’s, his songs ruled the airwaves and the list of hits is pretty much endless. From “Since You Been Gone” (Rainbow), “God Gave Rock'n'Roll To You” (Argent and Kiss), “So You Win Again” (Hot Chocolate), “New York Groove” (Hello and Ace Frehley), “You Can Do Magic” (America), “Winning” (Santana) or “I Don’t Believe In Miracles” (Colin Blunstone) – just to name a few – everyone who needed a great song knew that with RUSS BALLARD they could not go wrong.

Numerous records/artists were also produced by him, like Roger Daltrey, America, Elkie Brooks, Skindred or Sada Vidoo. In 1974, he started a solo career (after his stint with the band Argent in early 70’s), which had its highest momentum with the 'S/t' album in 1984 (which included the hit single “Voices”) and the follow up “The Fire Still Burns”.

Since then, BALLARD has released 10 studio albums and is still writing and producing hits. Three songs from his 1984 and 1985 albums were featured in the TV show “Miami Vice” and were extensively played on dance floors around Europe.

There’s nothing like the anticipation of your first dance – or as an artist, your first EP – and budding singer/songwriter/entertainer Maddox Batson wants to keep the excitement going. Having sold out the first leg of his Road to Indio Tour in support of his 7-song March 21 release First Dance, the Tennessee teen adds three songs – “I Need A Truck,” “Somewhere South” and “2 Feet” – with First Dance (The After Party), available Friday, May 2 via Prosper Entertainment/Warner Records.

"We’re so excited to add a few tracks and release a deluxe of First Dance for our fans,” shares Batson. “I’ve been blessed to write with so many incredible songwriters – we have so many good songs that we’ve been playing on the road, and some have already felt like fan favorites. We just felt like we should get ‘I Need A Truck’ and ‘Somewhere South’ out to fans as soon as possible,” he adds of releasing a deluxe just six weeks after his first EP

“There’s one that felt important for me to share right now because it’s the perfect way to express how I’m coping with everything that’s happening, and that song is ‘2 Feet’,” he shares of a song he co-wrote with Tiggi and Mishon Ratliff and is a nod to his whirlwind year including his Grand Ole Opry debut, inaugural tour currently underway and first recorded music being available for fans. “I’m so excited to share even more music to our incredible fans with The After Party."

With “Girl In Green” and “I Don’t Like You Anymore” among the new songs already being sung back to him from the crowd at sold-out shows in Columbus, Ohio, Louisville, Kentucky, Raleigh, North Carolina, Huntsville, Alabama and more within the first two weeks on tour, Batson is writing and singing what he knows and it’s connecting. f28 observes, with “a performance that was both intimate and electrifying… the sight of parents covering their ears while their kids screamed with uncontainable joy was a testament to the infectious energy Maddox brings to his shows.”

As Batson looks ahead to his extended EP’s release and in particular “I Need A Truck,” the multi-instrumentalist adds, “Growing up in the country, you start talking about your truck when you're like 13. What's it gonna look like…what kind of wheels you're gonna get... whether it's a Ford, Ram or a Chevy. Usually that's passed down to you from your parents. Kinda like Coke or Pepsi.

“‘I Need A Truck’ is about finding that special someone you can share that experience with… and this song is me picturing what it’s gonna be like to ride around with her. Nothing like it – a beautiful girl and a good-looking truck. I can't wait!"

About Maddox Batson:
Maddox Batson navigates the world with wisdom and wit far beyond his 15 years. After the Nashville-born, Alabama-based songwriter began gaining notoriety covering songs from Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays, and more, he started to write his own songs. Thanks to early singles like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know,” Batson quickly showed that he wasn’t only a star at covering country hits, but an excellent writer of his own home-cooked cuts – a practice he saw first-hand as a co-writer on Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s smash hit collaboration, “Tough.”

With the arrival of his latest single, “Girl In Green” and his EP First Dance, Batson is ready to show the world what he can create all while preparing for sold-out live shows across the country, his debut appearance at Stagecoach Music Festival and more new music. Life is moving fast for the multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar & mandolin) who has fully embraced his next-up in country-pop music.  “It can be overwhelming, this life, but I’ve got a lot of good people surrounding me,” he explains. “I’m still just a kid, though, and I’m happy about that.” More at MaddoxBatson.com

"Lost In Light" by TUMBLE

Toronto power trio TUMBLE is set to release their debut EP, Lost In Light, on May 2, 2025, through Echodelick Records (US) and Stickman Records (EU)—a blistering, 20-minute dive into the heart of heavy psychedelic rock and proto-metal. Fueled by thunderous riffs, hypnotic grooves, and an unrelenting live energy, Lost In Light is a bold statement from a band that refuses to hold back.

Recorded live off the floor at ProGold Studios with legendary Ian Blurton at the helm, Lost In Light strips away the polish of modern production in favor of something raw, visceral, and immediate. No click tracks, no unnecessary overdubs—just the sheer force of three musicians locked into a relentless groove. The result is an album that breathes, sways, and explodes with the reckless abandon of a band that thrives on pushing their sound to its breaking point.

The EP opens with "Laid By Fear," an ominous, slow-building behemoth that fades in like a shadow before bursting into a doom-laden, hypnotic riff, setting the tone for the album’s deep dive into existential dread and altered states of consciousness. It’s a song that feels like teetering on the edge of oblivion and loving every second of it.

That tension is broken by "The Less I Know," a full-throttle bluesy psych-rock ripper that channels the reckless abandon of early MC5 and Blue Cheer, with Liam Deak’s wailing guitar soaring over a locked-in rhythm section. It’s an electrified, high-energy burner that feels like an anthem for those who understand that the more you dig for meaning, the less you find.

"Dead By Rumour" follows, leaning hard into 70s sleaze rock swagger, with a chorus that grooves and snarls before a delay-drenched psychedelic solo melts into oblivion. There’s a chaotic energy to it—a band unafraid to let things spiral out of control before yanking the reins back just in time. The cliffhanger solo, the thunderous return to the riff—everything about it feels like riding the edge between mayhem and precision.

Side two kicks off with "Sullen Slaves," a track that fires on all cylinders from the jump, delivering one of the most melodic and rhythmically infectious moments on the EP. The song builds and collapses, a primal stomp giving way to an explosive proto-doom freakout, complete with frenetic solos and a crushing final push. There’s something almost anthemic buried within the chaos—a defiant roar against the trappings of modern society.

Closing out the EP is "Wings Of Gold," an all-out riff-heavy assault that careens forward with unrelenting momentum before descending into a massive, doom-laden instrumental section. The Geezer Butler-esque bass groove gives the song an irresistible swing, while Will Adams' drumming brings the whole thing down like a hammer. The song—both in sound and theme—leans into the myth of Icarus, a warning wrapped in high-octane rock fury. The lyrics paint a world flying too close to the sun, driven by greed and power, doomed to crash and burn.

At its core, Lost In Light is an album built on tension and release, power and restraint, euphoria and destruction. It’s an album that rages against the alienation and existential dread of modern life, captured in five tracks that never let up. Everything here works—the songwriting, the riffs, the dynamics, the sheer force of energy—all channeled through Blurton’s masterful production, which captures the band at their heaviest and most alive.

This is TUMBLE at full power—loud, unpredictable, and unrelenting. A band that thrives in the chaotic interplay between instinct and intention, refusing to be anything but themselves. Lost In Light doesn’t just demand your attention—it grabs you by the collar and drags you into the abyss. And once you’re there, you won’t want to leave.

About TUMBLE:

Formed in Toronto, Canada, in 2022, TUMBLE is a hard-hitting power trio that fuses hard rock, psychedelic rock, and proto-metal into a raw, high-voltage sound that pays homage to the underground heavy rock movement of the late '60s and early '70s. With minimal effects, loud tube amps, and an uncompromising live energy, the band strips rock 'n' roll down to its most primal form—driven by ferocious riffs, dynamic rhythms, and hypnotic grooves.

TUMBLE’s music is as much about feel as it is about power, rejecting the overproduced polish of modern rock in favor of something more organic, untamed, and immediate. Taking cues from bands like BLACK SABBATH, BLUE CHEER, PENTAGRAM, and MC5, they blend blues-infused psychedelia with heavy, swinging riffs and a no-nonsense attitude. All of their recorded material is tracked live off the floor with no click track, allowing for a loose, natural feel and a tangible sense of danger in their performances.

The band consists of Liam Deak on guitar and vocals, Tarun Dawar on bass, and Adam Guerra on drums. Together, they create a sound that is both thunderous and unrestrained, with each instrument pushing the others to their limits. Their chemistry is built on instinct and improvisation, allowing them to craft dynamic and unpredictable performances both in the studio and on stage.

Since their inception, TUMBLE has built a reputation for explosive live shows, sharing the stage with bands like CROWN LANDS, MONSTER TRUCK, and IAN BLURTON'S FUTURE NOW. In just two years, they’ve gone from playing their first gig at the legendary LEE’S PALACE to earning praise from Bobby Liebling of PENTAGRAM for their cover of “Earth Flight.” Their commitment to keeping rock raw and unfiltered has earned them a dedicated following and growing recognition in the underground rock scene.

Their upcoming EP, Lost In Light, recorded with Ian Blurton at PROGOLD STUDIOS, is a testament to the band’s ethos—five tracks of unrelenting, fuzz-drenched rock ‘n’ roll that rage against existential dread, alienation, and self-destruction. Set for release on May 2, 2025, via Echodelick Records (US) and Stickman Records (EU), the record captures TUMBLE at their heaviest and most alive.

This is rock music in its purest form—loud, raw, and completely unhinged. This is TUMBLE.

TUMBLE is:

  • Liam Deak – Guitar/Vocals

  • Tarun Dawar – Bass

  • Adam Guerra – Drums

Nightfall Lead Beastly Anthem on New Single "Seeking Revenge"

Since rising up from Athens' underground in 1991, Nightfall have stood as pillars for Greek metal alongside current and former Season of Mist label mates Rotting Christ and Septicflesh.

Like their brothers-in-arms, captain Efthimis Karadimas and his Athenian rebels sculpt towering gothic melodies from fiery blackened death metal. Their monumental eleventh full-length is bolstered by a powerful message and the mightiest production in the band's pantheon-level discography. The latest single from Children of Eve charges into the heat of battle with the same vengeance that fueled their rise, but "Seeking Revenge" is spearheaded by the biggest hell-raising chorus on an album full of crowd-pleasers.

"We wrote this song in retaliation for the vengeful teachings that the catechism practices on us", Efthimis says. "It seeks revenge for the expelled ones, the traders of anathema, who have the outlandish desire to disobey Christian Svengali".

During Nightfall's most recent hiatus, Efthimis was diagnosed with depression. Now, he wears a black mask to cover half of his face, symbolizing what it's like to live under the invisible veil of mental illness. "When you have demons in your mind, you're not always an ideal companion", he admits. "That stigma can lead to isolation".

Now, Nightfall are encouraging fellow metalheads to speak up. The band have launched a new initiative called Metal Music Against Depression (MMaD), which is supported by European Alliance Against Depression in Germany. "We can talk about this. We can sing about it. We can build a community that's based on understanding", Efthimis says.

With Children of Eve, Nightfall return from the shadows to unite blackened souls everywhere with their darkest and most epic creation yet.

Chicago's PUSH PUPPETS present ‘Similar’, definitive preview of their fourth album

Chicago-based indie pop-rock outfit Push Puppets presents their new single ’Similar’, the third single from their fourth long-play album 'Tethered Together', out May 16 via Flowering Tree Music and produced by Doug McBride (Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Silversun Pickups, Cheap Trick). A favorite at the band’s live shows, this recording captures that energy with a little elegance on top.

The release of ‘Similar’ is accompanied by a vibrant new video, produced by Scott Thiele and Sebastian Gonzales with editing and animation by Metamorse Studio, which features eye-popping animations of DNA, brain synapses, x-rays, fireworks and other imagery that support the lyrics.

Push Puppets is the creative outlet for singer-songwriter and guitarist Erich Specht. The five-piece creates songs with earworm melodies and shiny production that belie often bittersweet sentiments. Specht (lead vocals, guitar) is joined by a core of Steve Frisbie(backup vocals, guitar), Kyle Magnusson (keyboards), John William Lauler (bass) and Greg Essig (drums). They earlier released the lead tracks 'All Together On 3' and  'This Whole Endeavor'.

On this song, they are joined by a string quartet, comprised of Stephanie “Sly” Youngon violin, Katherine Andrick on viola, Molly Rife on cello and Kelly Jozwiak on violin (note: Janis Sakai performs in the audio recording).

On ‘Similar’, Push Puppets come out swinging like arena rockers with a wall of backup harmonies and strings, as Erich sings about the commonalities among us in driving, anthemic style. With The Who’s influence apparent during the violin solo over an intricate synth sequence, this song ends with a head-bobbing hook with handclaps, driving home the title.

The 'Tethered Together' album is graced with impeccable songwriting that shines with lush harmonies, angular guitars, dramatic keyboards and strings backed by a rhythm section that smokes. Erich Specht muses on relationships and loss, as well as the weight and joy of life, in a manner that is poetic and seems effortless, his lyrics fitting to the melody like pieces of a puzzle. Wearing his vulnerabilities like a badge of honor, this music takes us on a journey to unexpected places.

As of April 16, 'Similar' is available from fine digital platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. The 'Tethered Together' album, now available for pre-order, will be released digitally and on CD on May 16. Push Puppets will hold their album release show at Robert's Westside in Forest Park, IL on May 30.

French Post-Metal Collective Year of No Light Announce New Album Out 5/23 and Stream Excerpt Single

French post-metal collective Year of No Light return with their highly unique, evocative live album Les Maîtres Fous, to be released May 23 via the esteemed Pelagic Records.

Haunting, discordant and deeply unsettling, Les Maîtres Fous ("The Mad Masters") was written by the group in response to French filmmaker Jean Rouch's controversial 1950s docufiction of the same name.

Captured live in 2015, this arresting piece of music is now available to hear for the first time in a decade.

To acknowledge the album announcement, the group have streamed an excerpt from the album. Listen below.

Pre-order Les Maîtres Fous here.

Commissioned by Musée Du Quai Branly in Paris for their 2012 "L'nvention Du Sauvage" exhibition, Year of No Light approached the ritual practices of the Hauka movement as depicted in the original film and responded with their uniquely hypnotic heaviness.

Performed only twice, once at the exhibition on January 6, 2012 and again in Bordeaux on January 29, 2015, this release is a live recording of the second and final performance of Les Maîtres Fous. Whilst Year of No Light have a long history of collaboration with forward-thinking filmmakers and visual artists, the sensitivity of this documentary's problematic subject matter and the intensity of the band's performance made this performance both a physically and emotionally demanding experience; something that can be keenly felt upon listening.

Founded in September 2001 by a collection of Bordeaux's heavy scene stalwarts as an ongoing side project encompassing elements of sludge metal and shoegaze, Year of No Light released their debut album, Nord, in 2006 to critical acclaim. The subsequent years, however, saw a significant lineup change, with the band replacing their vocalist with a third guitarist to become a fully instrumental sextet, incorporating aspects of black metal, drone electronica, and dark ambient into their already formidable sound.

2010's four-track epic Ausserwelt and the 2013 followup Tocsin saw Year of No Light distilling their punishing sound even further; stalling the tempo to a glacial crawl and tuning guitars ever downwards to new uncharted depths. Consolamentum, the band's first full-length release in nine years and their first with Pelagic Records, brought the outfit's crushing double-drumming percussion to the fore — as a masterclass in dynamic control saw Year of No Light embrace the highest highs and the lowest lows of the intervening years.

Now approaching their 25th anniversary, Les Maître Fous is a pressing reminder that, despite the band's long and ongoing journey, Year of No Light have never been afraid to experiment, to take risks, to square up to life's ugliness and look it straight in the eye.

Reverya - 'Affliction In Bloom'

REVERYA is a mystical trio hailing from Tampa, Florida, whose sound drifts between the ethereal and thunderous. After the haunting debut EP Melinoe, they unveil their first full-length opus, Affliction In Bloom, set for CD release on October 24th, 2025.

This album is no ordinary collection of songs—it's a conceptual garden where each track blossoms as a distinct flower, embodying the trials and tenderness of human suffering. With titles drawn from nature’s poetry, each bloom holds symbolic weight, weaving an emotional tapestry meant to be experienced in full—start to finish, petal to petal.

The journey begins in stillness with "Allium", a soft, meditative prelude that eases listeners into the dreamy tendrils of "Wisteria".

"Allium" opens like a whispered incantation—two minutes of delicate acoustic reverie, drifting gently until faint, ethereal vocals rise like mist. The allium flower, symbolizing light and fortune, offers a soft blessing for the journey ahead. Rooted in garlic, it wards off darkness, setting the tone for the album's unfolding.

"Wisteria", one of REVERYA's earliest creations, bloomed even before the band fully formed. Born from political frustration, it reflects the dangerous allure of unchecked power. Like the Wisteria vine—beautiful yet poisonous—the song serves as a haunting reminder of the consequences of ignoring power’s dark side.

The album ignites with "Pyrophyte", a fiery counterpart to "Wisteria". With relentless screams, it mirrors escalating fury in the face of a corrupt, power-hungry world. Addressing global struggles, the song touches on war, division, and the uncertain future for younger generations. As chaos builds, a powerful, defiant singalong bursts forth, reminding us that we endure even through the fire. The title "Pyrophyte", referring to a plant that thrives in fire, symbolically connects to humanity’s resilience.

"Forget Me Not" follows, a tender exploration of the emotional weight in deciding whether to bring a child into this world of uncertainty reflected in predecessors, "Wisteria" and "Pyrophyte". Its soft piano and strings give way to raw vocals, capturing perhaps the most vulnerable moment on the record. The lyrics explore the anguish and desperation of parents watching their children suffer through internal and/or external struggles in such an evil and confusing world. Tender words cradled softly in warm blankets of orchestra and piano, cushioned with guitar chugs, and carried by luscious drums grooves.  The chorus poignantly illustrates the anguish of making such a choice, intertwined in a desperate apology leaving the listener to ponder over the only solo featured on the album. The nursery door is closed but never forgotten with a callback to the chorus played softly on a child's toy music box.

"Dahlia", the final flower to bloom, was crafted swiftly and naturally by the trio. Partially inspired by the Black Dahlia murder, the song reflects betrayal and emotional disintegration. A fitting partner to "Forget Me Not", the track captures the dark beauty of the flower—both musically and visually—marking a shift in tone with thall influences. "Dahlia" and "Forget Me Not" serve as emotional companions, validating pain within.

The final act unfolds like the setting sun—"Lily" acts as a delicate interlude, bridging "Dahlia" and "Asphodel". Using a reimagined piano part from "Asphodel", it drifts into an ethereal, somber atmosphere. Its simplicity is carried by lyrical motifs, referencing the journey so far while foreshadowing the final chapters. The white lily, traditional for funerals, symbolizes the album’s reflection on grief and loss.

"Lily" acts as a delicate interlude, bridging "Dahlia" and "Asphodel". Using a reimagined piano part from "Asphodel", it drifts into an ethereal, somber atmosphere. Its simplicity is carried by lyrical motifs, referencing the journey so far while foreshadowing the final chapters. The white lily, traditional in funerals, symbolizes the album’s reflection on grief.

"Asphodel" began with an instrumental foundation crafted by Travis and Kaleb, then later tailored to honor a loved one who suffered a stroke due to a brain tumor, leaving them paralyzed with no memory or chance of returning to their previous self, only to breathe unconsciously completely dependent on life support. The gut-wrenching decision to set them free with a prayer for a peaceful afterlife inspired the lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes. We journey through the stages of grief in this song with a soft verse, a pre-chorus and breakdown filled with angry desperation, bursting into the song's powerful and sentimental chorus, leading into a healing and hopeful singalong outro. In Greek Mythology, souls who have passed must wipe their memory by drinking from the River of Lethe, before they are peacefully transitioned to the Asphodel Fields where they experience a peaceful, eternal afterlife.

"Magnolia" is a heartfelt tribute to a grandmother who passed away during the pandemic. The song began with the lyrics alone as just a poem or letter for her, acting as an answer to a recording of her urging her grandchildren to spend time learning her language, Arabic, as well as confessing the happiness she felt being with her grandchildren despite the far distance. The scent of the Magnolia flower is that of her perfume which evokes early childhood moments spent together. Through fear, aggression, hope, harmony, heartbreak, grief, and more, this soft, sentimental track is a perfect send off to bring this journey to a close.

Affliction In Bloom is not just an album but a timeless voyage—an invitation to feel deeply, to hurt and heal, and to find meaning in both bloom and decay. It is deeply personal yet universal, an elegy, a wish, and a love letter wrapped in petals and pain.

Cryptopsy Announce New Album 'An Insatiable Violence'

A person spends all day building a machine, only for it to torture them at night. As if this thought wasn't malicious enough, they enjoy it. In fact, they enjoy being tortured so much that, come morning, they wake up rejuvenated, eager to tweak their creation until it runs perfectly in their mind.

This is the waking nightmare that inspired the upcoming ninth full-length album from Cryptopsy. "The concept for our new album came to me in a dream. When I woke up, I immediately wrote the title down on my phone", vocalist Matt McGachy says before adding, "Because, you know, we all have to have our phones with us all the time".

While an eerie mirror image of society's latest brain rotting obsession, An Insatiable Violence is influenced by the many mutations that have come to define Cryptopsy's Hall of Fame discography. On their new album, the JUNO Award winners continue to push death metal to even more blasphemous extremes. While near bursting with the band's brutal technique, lead single "Until There's Nothing Left" stakes its claim as their biggest, most vile earworm.

Watch the nightmarish video for "Until There's Nothing Left" below.

"Until There's Nothing Left" holds nothing back. Just as quickly as the video's star takes the band's trusted bait, Cryptopsy lock him inside their freshly fleshed-out house of horror.

"Your greed for pleasure is too vast", McGachy utters with bottomless disdain thanks to his newly deepened death growls. Christian Donaldson reels through brutal chugs while Oli Pinard snaps off not one but two gruesome bass-slapping solos. After 30+ years behind Cryptopsy's drum throne, Flo Mounier continues to keep the band on the tips of their horned toes. With devilish ease, he slits between blinding fills, relentless double bass and punishingly precise blast beats without ever leaving the pocket.

"Since our last album, I've developed new techniques that make it easier for us to go even faster", says Mounier, who literally wrote the book on extreme metal drumming. "An Insatiable Violence is a nice melting pot of Cryptopsy's old and new eras".

The first taste of their upcoming album does smack you around before springing into a commanding groove. But even though the band's last album won the JUNO Award for Metal / Hard Music Album just a little more than a year ago, Cryptopsy weren't content with reaping their rewards. Writing for An Insatiable Violence began in earnest last spring, while they were touring North America with Death to All. Working from the road was new for them. And while not without bumps, playing 140 shows over the past 15 months gave them a clear sense of direction once the time came to hit Donaldson's studio.

"As Gomorrah Burns was a stepping stone for our new album", McGachy says. "We took what we enjoyed about the last album and focused on expanding it for a live setting. We wanted this album to be more groovy so that people can really latch onto these songs when we play them live".

With its headbanger of a chorus, "Until There's Nothing Left" will no doubt fill the pit when Cryptopsy tours Europe next month with Decapitated. The band's signature fishhook riff wriggles deep into the grooves in your brain beneath bat-like shrieks. "And as you now can clearly see / You're totally mine". Of course, the song wouldn't represent peak Cryptopsy if it wasn't filled with a more insidious message. Its sinister story of an online predator feeds into the album's larger cautionary tale.

"An Insatiable Violence reflects our toxic relationship with social media", explains McGachy, who's been feeling the effects since starting his podcast Vox & Hops. "I'm trying to break the cycle, but on those days where I'm just doom scrolling, I get so depressed. The fallacy of Internet stardom is just a dopamine trap that crushes our spirits".

Cryptopsy know not every brutal technical death metal band is on the upswing nine albums into their career. The cover art for An Insatiable Violence pays tribute to their late, great vocalist Martin Lacroix.

"Martin did None So Live, but he never really got to do a proper album", the band says. "His art is amazing. The two pieces of his that we used for An Insatiable Violence are incredible. His family was super excited about it, too. We are honored to have him be an even bigger part of Cryptopsy's lore".

The video for "Until There's Nothing Left" was written and directed by Christopher Kells.

Metalheads who are chomping at the bit for An Insatiable Violence can further their appetite by revisiting Cryptopsy's hallowed catalogue. Since signing with Season of Mist in 2024, the band have reissued their 1993 demo Ungentle Exhumation, the widely-worshiped None So Vile, their triumphant self-titled and The Book of Suffering Tome I + II, which is now available for the first time on one combined LP.

Cryptopsy recognize that not every death metal band sticks around long enough to win a Canadian Grammy 30 years into their career. The cover art for An Insatiable Violence was created by the late, great vocalist Martin Lacroix.  "The album artwork has got to be one of the most important things to us!”, the band says. “Martin Lacroix was one of our vocalists, one of our great friends and one of the nicest people that anyone could have the privilege to meet. We really wish he was here with us to share this moment. His perfect smile would say it all! Rest in peace brother".

With Cryptopsy’s latest career renaissance showing no signs of slowing down, the recent accolades are only the beginning. An Insatiable Violence reaches a new peak in a career loaded with them.

GWAR Celebrates 40th Anniversary with New Multimedia Release 'The Return of Gor Gor' Out July 25th via Pit Records/Z2 Comics

Shock rock legends GWAR are back to wreak havoc once again with their new Multimedia Release, 'The Return of Gor Gor,' due on July 25th, 2025, via Pit Records/Z2 Comics. This multi-format assault on the senses includes brand-new studio recordings, ferocious live performances, and an exclusive 32-page comic detailing the epic return of Gor Gor, GWAR’s long-lost, three-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex. This release is a collaboration between GWAR and Z2 Comics, ensuring fans get the ultimate immersive experience.

But where has Gor Gor been all these years? How do you misplace a three-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex? The answer lies in 'The Return of Gor Gor,' a multi-format experience that intertwines music and graphic storytelling. 'The Return of Gor Gor' follows the tale of an orphaned T-Rex cub, lost in a depraved world that is completely alien to him. Will he become an ally of the legendary Scumdogs of the Universe, or will their reunion unleash an apocalyptic battle? Only time will tell.

Kicking off the carnage, GWAR premieres the NSFW video for "Lot Lizard" today. Fans can also stream the track across all digital service providers (DSPs) and pre-order 'The Return of Gor Gor' now at Pit Records (where you can also get a Gor Gor Plush) and

Z2Comics.com.

About the new single, Blothar states:

"'Lot Lizard' is a blistering return to GWAR as a punk metal powerhouse with a sense of humor. What could be more charming than a song about a crack-addicted cross-dressing dinosaur prostitute that shreds weiners at truck stop pickle parks? Nuttin honey. That’s what. The song rocks. Listen ya mooks…"

Watch the NSFW Video for "Lot Lizard" below

'The Return of Gor Gor' features three brand new GWAR songs mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, GodCity Studios) and four live tracks captured at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA during GWAR’s 2024 tour, mixed by Chris Ronan Murphy. All songs were produced by GWAR and mastered by Alan Douches. The release also includes a 32-page comic detailing Gor Gor’s return, which is included with all versions. Vinyl editions boast an animated etching of Gor Gor on Side A, with a Semi-Translucent Etched Deep Purple Vinyl available exclusively at GWAR.net and Semi-Translucent Etched Green vinyl at Z2Comics.com. A Deluxe Hardback edition is also available via Z2Comics.com.

40 years ago, the intergalactic warlords of GWAR emerged from their Antarctic tomb to conquer the Earth with their barbaric blend of metal and mayhem. Over the decades, their monstrous live shows and relentless discography have solidified them as the ultimate overlords of shock rock. Now, with BälSäc, Beefcake, JiZMak, and Blothar joined by the mighty shredder Grodius of the Maximus Clan, GWAR embarks on their latest quest—to reclaim their savage pet, Gor Gor, who mysteriously disappeared following the death of their former frontman, Oderus Urungus.

Blothar comments on 'The Return of Gor Gor':

"The last time I saw Gor Gor he was just a wee fart dragon. He had crawled on the hood of my Kia Soul and was holding on for dear life while I drove to the store to buy Clamato. I bathed him in wiper fluid and used my wipers to knock him off my sweet ride. Next thing I know, he’s a 20-foot tall trans-species prostitute working a pickle park. Apparently, he’s all grown up and looking for revenge. This record chronicles his struggles as a young Dino-American trying to make his way in a cruel world."

Pre-Order 'The Return of Gor Gor' HERE

'The Return of Gor Gor' will be available in the following formats:

=> CD with 32-page comic booklet

=> LP with 32-page comic booklet and etched vinyl

=> Deluxe LP with hardcover 32-page comic and etched vinyl (D2C exclusive)

=> Standalone 32-page comic

GWAR will be on the road all year as part of their 40th Anniversary Celebration, about the excursion, Blothar says:

"This tour is gonna suck. Once again we will be onstage suffering through the attacks of a giant tyrant lizard just so humans can come to the gigs and get shitfaced on White Claws and show us their tits. Please, for the love of all that is holy, show us your tits."

New Jersey artist Greg Amici presents 'I’ll Be Back' single, first offering from 'Tragicomic' album

New Jersey-based artist Greg Amici presents his haunting yet driven new single 'I'll Be Back', previewing his forthcoming 'Tragicomic' album, a storied set of 12 songs that blends absurdist-rock, ska, Americana, folk-punk and straight-up classic rock, with a clear-eyed view of the world through Amici’s unique lens. Greg's lyrics often offer an unexpected turn of phrase, delivered with full-throated rock power.

With roots firmly planted in Jersey, his creative journey has taken him from the heart of Manhattan to Los Angeles and back again. In the late '90s, Greg formed Big Honey, a NYC-based band whose rise peaked with an appearance at the CMJ Music Festival but paused indefinitely when a vocal polyp sidelined Greg for years. Despite this setback, he didn't let his distinctive voice and songwriting abilities go to waste, returning to the studio after a 16-year hiatus.

Reuniting with producer James Mastro (The Bongos, Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter) and engineer / drummer Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, Luna) at Magic Door Studio in Montclair, the resultant 'Tragicomic' album was mastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty).

The creative process also involved former Amici bandmates Joe Gentile (Big Honey)and Tommy Aboussleman (Electric TNT), along with special guests Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith Band) and Renee LoBue (Elk City) contributing to the recording. Whether it’s a "serial killer romance" or a biting satire, Greg Amici proves that a Jersey count knows how to count on rock ‘n’ roll.

Greg Amici shares, "About 'I’ll Be Back', yeah, there have been a lot of songs with the same title and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger made the words famous, but my work here is uniquely unique. Really, I was pissed off because the girl I was in love with started having sex with a guy I thought was my friend. So, not wanting to expose myself, I pretended that I was Ulysses returning to my home to annihilate all of Penelope’s suitors. A song was born. It was quite cathartic and probably kept me out of jail."

Calling himself a "count in name only", tracing his aristocratic lineage through Italian family names such as Benedetti, Stalute and Scala, Greg found his calling as a musician in high school, inspired by local bands. Picking up the guitar in his late teens, he founded his first band, The Clergy, and later teamed up with a musical partner to form the '80s alt-rock band Junk.

As of April 15, 'I'll Be Back is available from fine online music platforms, including Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp.  The full 'Tragicomic' album will be released on June 13 via Magic Door Records. Amici will be supporting this album with a series of live performances, to be announced soon.

Dreamgaze artist Dotsun Moon shares 'Bring Love' & 'Give Up The Tears', heralding third album

Upstate New York-based artist Dotsun Moon has announced their forthcoming third album 'Tiger', sharing the video for the invigorating 'Bring Love' and penetrating 'Give Up The Tears', two choice offerings from an album that is, both in spirit and sound, influenced by M83’s epic 'Before The Dawn Heals Us' and New Order's 'Ceremony' and 'Temptation' phases.

Revolving around the musings of Richard Flierl and based in Buffalo, Dotsun Moon has gone through several incarnations since releasing their debut album 4 A.M. back in 2011, but the trajectory remains steadfast on a path of dreamy rock offerings over the years, with multi-instrumentalist Flierl also gradually assuming vocal duties.

"The song 'Bring Love' is about accepting a breakup and hoping someday for a reconciliation. This song would fit right in at the end of a number of John Hughes films. The guitar riff plays along with angelic synths as I sing the line “see it [love] all around,” a call for love to return in any form," says Richard Flierl.

"On the other hand, 'Give Up The Tears' is anthemic hopefulness seeing the best the world has to offer with its opening synth note and Will Sergeant-influenced guitar. This is one of those songs made for sun-setting summer driving with the windows wide open. The drums pound and move the song along in turn increasing the power of the entire song."

Conveying his bold and self-contained vision in every note and vocal line, Dotsun Moon's new album is a complete solo endeavor and a departure from their previous work, which involved female vocals. Evoking both euphoria and a poignant sense of grounding, Dotsun Moon brings you this compelling and unique exploration. Engineered and mastered by Doug White at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY, Richard Flierl and Doug White mixed the album on location.

"This is a huge change to prior releases, which have powerful female singers at the center of the songs. On this album, I am on vocals and all the songs are written and played by me from guitars and bass to keyboards, drums and drum programming. Doug White at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY brought decades of recording and mixing knowledge to the recordings that allows the songs to truly shine," says Richard Flierl.

"I grew up outside of Buffalo, NY listening to the local college station WBNY and the alternative Toronto station CFNY for music, info and concert announcements. I picked up a guitar in my late teens and wanted to make music under the impression of Pink Floyd and Echo and The Bunnymen. I had no idea there were other bands who made music like they did. Will Sergeant became a hero, watching him and the Bunnymen live as they toured with New Order. Strangely after seeing both bands live, New Order’s Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook became my biggest influences."

Over the years, Dotsun Moon has performed with such notable artists as Mary Ognibene (The Lovely Intangibles) and Buffalo Music Hall of Famer Maria Sebastian, having also played shows with Joywave, Vanishing Kids and The Lost Patrol, not to mention Pride Festival.

'Bring Love' and penetrating 'Give Up The Tears' are out now, available from fine music platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. Dotsun Moon's next single 'Never Had a Heart' will be released on April 30. The full 'Tiger' album, set for release on June 27, is now available for pre-order.
