ARISING EMPIRE ALERT: Venues Share New Video

NEW ALBUM TRANSIENCE OUT MARCH 29 VIA ARISING EMPIRE

The sparrows have been chirping it from the rooftops for a while, but now it's official certainty: in 2024, VENUES will unfold to their full size for the first time. And we're all here to witness it live. In short: Their third album Transience arrives worldwide on March 29 via Arising Empire!

Watch the video for new single "Godspeed, GoodbyeBelo.

After the two strong benchmarks with Aspire and Solace, which oscillated somewhere between post-hardcore, alternative metal, and metalcore, the Stuttgart-based band definitively tears down all barriers, boundaries, and bulwarks. Transience unleashes an emotional cascade full of grand melodies, visionary soundscapes, and raw, unfiltered emotion. This album = catharsis; it's medicine for a sick world and the antidote to dreariness, indifference, and coldness.

You hear it, you feel it: The 10 songs of Transience are about farewell, new beginnings, and the inevitability of change. They are they emotional projectiles that hit exactly where they hurt the most: In our wounded hearts.

Recorded in three creative and harmonious sessions with their regular producer Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) at the Sawdust Recordings in Halle, the Stuttgart band's third album carries all the pain of a wounded world within it.

VENUES do not look away. They repress and sugarcoat nothing. Yet, they also do not give up on themselves or this world and sing, scream, play against the feeling of powerlessness. They do not close their eyes to toxic relationships ("Unspoken Words"); they channel emotional baggage ("Godspeed, Goodbye").

But VENUES are most moving in their most intimate moments. Robin addresses his mother's cancer in "Braille" or Lela sings about captivity in the oppressive "Coming Home." She softly says, "I have yet to manage to sing this song without crying."

Pre-order the new album Transience as CD, limited colored vinyl and special fan box, together with unique merch options at the Arising Empire Online Shop, here.

VENUES Share "Unspoken Words" Video

German post-hardcore experience VENUES have released their brand new single "Unspoken Words."

Watch the video below.

It follows the acclaimed album Solace and previous singles "Oblivion," "Reflections,"' "Cravings," "Haunted House," and "Radiate Me."

"Unspoken Words" delves deep into the realm of unvoiced sentiments, weaving a tapestry of raw emotion and intricate melodies.

"Sometimes, the best choice in leaving a toxic situation is to walk away without needing closure. Strength comes from recognizing the need for a healthier distance, even if you don't say everything that's on your mind. Unspoken words can be the loudest expression of self-preservation.. even if you didn't get every answer you thought you needed," says vocalist Lela.

VENUES Share "Radiate Me" Video

German post-hardcore experience VENUES have released their brand new single "Radiate Me." Watch it here.

It follows the acclaimed album
Solace and previous singles "Oblivion," "Reflections,"' "Cravings," and "Haunted House."

"Radiate Me" is an introspective track about overcoming personal challenges and striving for self-improvement. The song's lyrics depict a battle with inner demons, using vivid imagery like a "pest plant" to symbolize life's negative influences. It's ultimately an anthem for those struggling with their inner selves, emphasizing the beauty of a life beyond personal turmoil.

"The last year was quite tough for me, as my mother was diagnosed with two types of cancer," says Robin. "She immediately took up the fight and underwent chemotherapy, which was extremely hard on her. I drove her to various hospitals time and again, took care of the household, and cared for her as a person. But primarily, I saw her suffer and what the poison of this treatment did to her. The chemotherapy almost killed her. 'Radiate Me' is all of that in one song. As it stands now, she is doing well and we all hope that it stays that way. Fuck cancer."

VENUES SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "HAUNTED HOUSE" — WATCH

German post-hardcore experience VENUES let the chains cattle and release their brand new single "Haunted House," out now worldwide, following their critically acclaimed album Solace and previous singles "Reflections" + "Cravings."

Watch the video below.

Lela says, "If you know the feeling of being trapped in a situation that doesn't bring good prospects, but still have the urge to get out of it, you can empathize very well with the story behind 'Haunted House.' For me, it is a challenge to myself to recognize bad positions and leave them behind as quickly as possible."

Robin states, "The shooting with Marius Milinski was, as always, a lot of fun. However, we used real metal chains for the video and they hurt quite a bit. Everyone of us had bruises after the shooting."

In 2021, Venues dropped the critically acclaimed album Solace

For their most recent album VENUES went into the studio with producer Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) to record Solace, who coated their massive sound with a metallic alloy of remarkable precision.

"We wanted to be more metal," Robin comments. "There were some pop sensibilities of Aspire we wanted to replace with rather the opposite."

Melody and punch-drunk heaviness, metal and alternative rock, zeitgeist and authenticity, barbed choruses and unleashed creativity: with their soaring sophomore release, VENUES fulfill every single promise they gave on Aspire.

"2020 showed all of us how much the band is helping us keep our sanity," vocalist Robin muses. "Almost the whole band went through minor or medium crises since the release of our debut. Relationships went sour, things were ended and begun. In times like these, our second album was the light at the end of the tunnel. Something we all could look forward to. Our music held our heads above water."

It’s a big leap, going from Aspire to Solace, and it’s a logical one, too. Ten songs, ten exorcisms of negative energy, ten lifesavers.
