Sydney alternative metal outfit Reliqa are back with pounding new single, 'Your Touch', a genre-blending anthem about ambition’s darker side and the risk of losing sight of what you love, out now via Greyscale Records and Nuclear Blast.
Written in close collaboration with artist and producer James McKendrick (Void of Vision), 'Your Touch' blends the quartet's trademark progressive metalcore roots with bright, dance-driven textures, pushing deeper into newfound sonic territory on their follow-up to last year's debut album Secrets of the Future.
"Your Touch is a continuation of a close-to-heart idea we started exploring on Secrets of the Future, about the fear of ambition going too far," says the band. "It’s about having tunnel vision, where your sight’s set on a single target so narrowly that one day you realise you’ve left everything you love behind. The song is full of outer space imagery for that reason - it felt like a fitting metaphor for making bold moves that leave you more isolated than ever."
The music video, directed by Colin Jeffs of Ten of Swords Media, sees the band in a spacecraft-like setting that mirrors the song’s themes of confinement, ambition and isolation. Watch it below.
Since rising out of Sydney’s underground, Reliqa have established themselves as one of Australia's most exciting new prospects. Trailblazers in their own right, they've shared stages with the likes of BABYMETAL, Spiritbox, Periphery, Make Them Suffer and more, as well as touring with Good Things Festival last year. Their 2024 debut album showcased a band leaving no stone unturned in their quest for total musical expression, harnessing the most savage and passionate elements of modern metal fused with electronica, pop, prog and post-hardcore for the thrill of it.
With every new experience, they have endeavoured to bottle everything they felt and feed off it as much as possible as they look to the next milestone. Remembering exactly how it felt to watch their dreams playing out before them and using it as a light as they venture into the unknown.
'Your Touch' is the next leap in Reliqa's unstoppable ascent. Out now via Greyscale Records & Nuclear Blast. Stream it HERE.
RELIQA - release video for new single 'Dying Light'
Fast-rising Australian metallers RELIQA have released a video for their new single, 'Dying Light,' the third cut to be taken from their upcoming debut album, Secrets Of The Future, which sees a 31st May release via Nuclear Blast Records for all territories outside of Australia, where it will be released via Greyscale Records.
Vocalist Monique Pym comments:
"Dying Light is your last taste of the album before we go full send on May 31st. This one is all about the attitude – it's got a level of sass and femininity that we haven't explored before, with a dirty, riffy groove to keep it grounded. I think this song really completes the picture alongside Terminal and Killstar for how many diverse kinds of sounds we've managed to pack into the record."

RELIQA - Announce New Album Secrets Of The Future + Reveal Video For New Single 'Killstar (The Cold World)'
Progressive metalcore outfit RELIQA have announced the details of their new album, Secrets Of The Future, which is set to be released on May 31st via Nuclear Blast Records for all territories outside of Australia, where it will be released via Greyscale Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed the video for their brand new single 'Killstar (The Cold World)'.
Vocalist Monique Pym comments:
"We're so pleased with the feedback we received for Terminal, especially because it fuelled our excitement in knowing that Killstar was coming next. It really flips the switch – we've gone from an airy, introspective debut track to this spiteful, sharp-tongued groove that has some more worldly and politically driven themes behind it. We think these two sides of us are the perfect taste test for Secrets of the Future, not because the whole album sounds like this, but because it shows we're not afraid to take risks. Can't wait for you to hear it in May!"

Progressive metalcore outfit RELIQA have announced their signing to Nuclear Blast Records for all territories outside of Australia, where the band have signed to Greyscale Records. To coincide with the announcement of their new label, the Sydney, Australia-based fourpiece have also revealed the video for their new single 'Terminal'.
Vocalist Monique Pym comments:
"Terminal feels like the perfect re-introduction of Reliqa to the world. It's vibrant, high-shine, and optimistic, yet with a moody, introspective cloud hanging over it that foreshadows all that's still to come. We're beyond thrilled to be back, especially now with the support of our new families at Nuclear Blast and Greyscale."
Nuclear Blast Records A&R Manager Jaap Wagemaker comments:
"We’re very excited to welcome RELIQA to our Nuclear Blast family.
The band caught our attention after the release of their last EP, I Don't Know What I Am, with their signature sound that blends elements of alternative, prog, djent, and metalcore. The diversity of their sound paired with Monique's stunning vocals means they appeal to a very wide audience.
RELIQA are on a mission, and their first release for Nuclear Blast, the exhilarating new single ‘Terminal’, is a bold statement that sees them step up to being a truly global band!
The future belongs to RELIQA, and working with Josh and Chris from their management team has been a great pleasure. We are looking forward to building this band up outside of Australia and beyond!"
