HOLY WARS Announce Highly Anticipated EP "CULT CLASSIC"

Genre-blurring provocateurs HOLY WARS are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of their latest EP, “CULT CLASSIC” on November 10th via Pale Chord Records. Pushing boundaries and defying labels, the "CULT CLASSIC" EP serves as the next chapter in their fearless journey. Fans can pre-save the upcoming EP HERE.

"CULT CLASSIC" a 5 song slasher of venomous assault.

“CULT CLASSIC” sends you into an electrifying odyssey of raw emotion and unrelenting force. From the standout prowess of tracks like "Deus Ex Machina," "BODY//TEMPLE," and title track "CULT CLASSIC", listeners are launched into a tumultuous sonic realm, where ever-shifting tempos, indelible riffs, infectious lyrics, and haunting melodies fuse into a world of distorted beauty. Thematically, this EP pays homage to the cult horror classics but with a twist: the true terror resides not in external monsters, but within—the God of the machine, the mind itself.

Among these gems, "VenoM" exudes a defiant charisma, poised for confrontation, while "TENSION//RELEASE" unveils a hidden layer of depth, threading themes of depression and grief beneath its fabric, providing a breath of fresh air into the EP's intense composition.

Speaking on the EP announcement, vocalist Kat Leon shares:

“Making this EP was a fun and intrusive experience. I wanted to pose the question of what if the horror aka “the monster” was actually inside us? In most thrillers, the monster is an external enemy but in this body of music I really wanted to lean into the internal enemy but also acknowledging how this internal enemy is influenced by our external world and what we are made to feel about ourselves and about others. Cult classic is the climax track revealing the true enemy - the unattainable ideology of what it takes to thrive in a society that is holding each individual under its thumb. I hope this EP and every song displaying the internal struggle of the self, empowers the listener and allows them to have the freedom to unplug and let go of the ever powerful ego."

Sonically, the "CULT CLASSIC" EP lands with the force of a gut punch, melding the eclectic influences of alternative rock, nu metal, hip hop, punk, and pop blurring the lines into a heady concoction with precise intention. Woven within the tapestry of this EP are lyrics that map out a personal voyage—a trek through the self, the ego, and the projections that intertwine with a restless, aggressive psyche.

Nick Perez's deft guitar work and masterfully raw production deliver a sonic landscape that demands replay, teasing nuances and subtleties that may have initially slipped by. Kat Leon's lyrical and vocal prowess strikes at the core with venomous assault that oscillates from intimate whispers to thunderous screams.

Their two previous singles, "BODY//TEMPLE" and "Deus Ex Machina" are a testament to their unrelenting creative spirit and mark the first of many HOLY WARS releases via their brand new label home, Pale Chord, where they join an impressive roster of fellow groundbreaking artists such as Spiritbox, Harper and Thousand Below. These pivotal milestones only further the band’s incessantly gaining momentum garnered from their authentic, DIY approach, which has already yielded nearly 10 million global streams and 700,000 YouTube views across their total catalogue.

Armed with their unpredictable sound, provocative artistry, and the strength of their new label, HOLY WARS continue to defy genres and blow minds. Embrace the weird and stay tuned for more from these sonic shapeshifters soon.

HOLY WARS Release New Single & Video “BODY//TEMPLE”

Genre-blurring provocateurs HOLY WARS have dropped their newest single and music video “BODY//TEMPLE” today via Pale Chord Records. With their hard hitting riffs and soaring pop infused rock melodies, vocalist, Kat Leon, and guitarist/producer, Nick Perez take HOLY WARS to a brand new level as they continue to showcase their epic evolution with their latest thought-provoking track. Stream “BODY//TEMPLE" HERE and watch the video below.

Speaking on the video release, the band shares:

“BODY // TEMPLE embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery, navigating through ego dissolution and the depths of the Shadow Self. Its lyrics serve as a poignant cautionary tale on the path to enlightenment, shedding light on how our egos and self-projections can become insidious adversaries. This composition urges us to scrutinize every facet of our lives—be it religion, society, or our very essence—for authentic revelation and personal liberation.

Sonically, Body // Temple emerges as a formidable, weighty composition, effortlessly evolving into an anthem for those in search of answers. Nick Perez's masterful guitar work and polished production seamlessly meld with Kat Leon's thought-provoking lyrics and haunting vocals, which traverse from introspective whispers to resounding cries. The track pulsates with visceral energy, beckoning to be played on repeat.

The music video for Body // Temple mirrors this primal intensity through its visuals, escorting viewers on a transformative journey alongside Kat as she confronts her shadow self. This duality is perceived, both from the vantage point of the audience and the stage, encapsulating a gut-deep resonance."

Their two recent singles, "BODY//TEMPLE" and "Deus Ex Machina" mark the first of many HOLY WARS releases via their brand new label home, Pale Chord, where they join an impressive roster of fellow groundbreaking artists such as Spiritbox, Harper and Thousand Below.

HOLY WARS Take Us On A Wild Ride In Epic New Single & Video “Deus Ex Machina”

Genre-blurring provocateurs HOLY WARS have dropped their mind-bending new single and music video “Deus Ex Machina” today. Matching hard hitting metal riffs with frantic spoken word, soaring pop melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics, “Deus Ex Machina” is the next step in the evolution of HOLY WARS, perfectly showcasing the indefinable combination of vocalist, Kat Leon’s dynamic vocal techniques and guitarist/producer, Nick Perez's down-tuned guitar riffs and cinematic soundscapes. Stream “Deus Ex Machina" HERE and watch the video below.

The cinematic music video for “Deus Ex Machina” immerses us in the literal rollercoaster ride of vocalist Kat Leon’s deep and sometimes dark psyche. She unpacks the song’s themes as follows:

“Deus Ex Machina was inspired by my love of psychology and how fascinating the brain is. The God of the human machine. Deus Ex Machina meaning God from the Machine really helped shape the message of what I was wanting to say lyrically in this song, how our personal narrative is powerful. We often rewrite our stories as the hero's tale but we very possibly could be the villain in another's. Our words are powerful and our story is our legacy. In this song I wanted to display the attack side of the narrative, how any issue I have had with another has stemmed from projection, a choice and the power I allow it to have. The ghost in the machine haunting my thoughts and puppeting my actions. Deus Ex Machina is a hard hitting wild sonic ride of the mania that lives underneath us all."

The single will be the first HOLY WARS release via their brand new label home, Pale Chord, as they also announce their signing to the prominent alternative label today, joining an impressive roster of fellow groundbreaking artists such as Spiritbox, Harper and Thousand Below.

Blending thoughtful introspection with their trademark chaotic energy, “Deus Ex Machina” highlights HOLY WARS’ unrelenting creative spirit and is arguably their heaviest release to date. Today’s release and new label announcement only furthers the band’s incessantly gaining momentum garnered from their authentic, DIY approach, which has already yielded nearly 10 million global streams and 700,000 YouTube views for previous releases.

Harper Enlists Brand of Sacrifice and We Came As Romans On New Single "Weight Of The World"

HARPER, the incredible 11-year-old vocalist who took the internet by storm with her mind-blowing cover of Spiritbox's "Holy Roller" and captured the hearts of millions as a contestant on last year's America's Got Talent, is back with an electrifying new single titled "Weight of The World." Stream the track HERE and watch the video below.

When asked about the inspiration behind the track, HARPER shared

"Weight Of The World was written about the last few years of my life. I'm still so new to music, and I definitely felt there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders holding the flag for heavy music on such a commercial stage last year. It's also a very empowering song, and I really hope through my music a lot of kids my age can discover heavy music and also be inspired to make their own. It was so good to work with Leo and Dave on this song. I'm a big fan of both of their bands, so to have them be a part of this was really cool!"

The track is a perfect showcase of HARPER's immense talent and unwavering dedication to her craft. This is just the beginning of an incredible musical journey for this young superstar.

Thousand Below Drop New Music Video "Sabotage" And Announce Forthcoming Album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' Out December 9 via Pale Chord Music

San Diego, California post-hardcore quartet Thousand Below have today announced their forthcoming album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere', out on Friday, December 9 via Pale Chord Music. In celebration of the announcement, the band dropped a new music video for their track "Sabotage". Speaking on today's announcement, Thousand Below commented:

"We're tremendously excited to release "Sabotage" and announce our third album, 'Hell Finds You Everywhere'.

We've been working on this project for a long time now and we wanted to make sure we really captured the essence of what Thousand Below is to us while keeping in mind what our fans wanted to hear. Our end goal was to create a record that had the perfect mix of album 1 and album 2 in hopes of getting the best of both worlds of our band's sound, while still telling an emotional story along the way.

We wrote & recorded HFYE in the thick of the pandemic and the subject matter reflects that. Everyone went through their own personal battle with depression & maintaining one's mental health in the last few years. Every problem, every pain, every sad moment in life was exponentially harder to deal with given the setting of the world, and we wanted to make an album that perfectly resonated with those themes. Loss in an isolated setting, substance abuse in times with little hope, and loneliness compounding on itself in the darkest of times were all subjects we felt were important to make music about.

We hope everyone enjoys "Sabotage" and we're excited to hit the road this November."

Prior to today, the band released their music video for "Face To Face" and announced their signing with Pale Chord Music. Pre-save 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' here, watch the music video for "Sabotage" below, and stream the track here.
