Singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier about 'Face Them':

"'Face Them' is by far the most energetic song on the album, inspired by a drumbeat and guitar riff that Yuma came up with. It’s an incredibly busy song, with its dense rhythms and many key changes. It’s also a very fun song and perhaps a bit more uplifting than the rest of the album. I suspect it features the highest note I ever sang, at the end of the bridge.

We filmed a lot of the recording process of 'While Time Disappears' and even though the quality of the footage is not the best, we thought it was quite suited for a more lighthearted and fun music video for 'Face Them'. This isn't a stylized or serious music video, instead, it gives you a genuine impression of our studio process. Enjoy!"

New Album 'While Time Disappears' out November 27th!

Dutch rock trio Our Oceans share their new single "Weeping Lead" along with an accompanying music video. It's the third single taken from their new album 'While Time Disappears' which will see a November 27th release on Long Branch Records. "Weeping Lead" is available now and can be streamed on all major digital platform.

Singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier about 'Weeping Lead':

"Weeping Lead is one of my favorite songs on the album, both from a musical as well as a lyrical perspective. Conceptually, it’s quite a paradoxical song. On the one hand, it’s about the deadening numbness of depression, where suicide seems like the only way out. On the other hand, it’s about the realization that true purpose and meaning can only be found in overcoming sorrow and allowing yourself to transform that dark energy into things of beauty. On a side note; ‘lead’ refers to the metal here, so most people will probably mispronounce this song’s title before they hear me sing it.

This gloomy and shadowy music video was once again directed by our friend Job Kuizenga. We were aiming for a 90s inspired look and feel as you can clearly tell from the 4:3 aspect ratio and the VHS glitches. Fun fact is that there were no digital effects used in the production. The hazy look was attained by filming through various drinking glasses while the VHS look comes from running the video through a real VHS player while holding magnets close to the tape and pushing around the tape heads."

Dutch rock trio Our Oceans share their new single 'The Heart's Whisper' along with a lyric video. Singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier about 'The Heart's Whisper':

"The Heart’s Whisper is about navigating the space of being misunderstood by someone you love. Trying to explain to the best of your ability that your intentions are honorable, yet it doesn’t seem to get across, no matter how hard you try. And in the process, you’re actually starting to doubt whether or not you are interpreting the other’s persons thoughts and intentions accurately. Musically, I think this song is the closest to what we did on our debut album. It’s a relatively simple song, but at the same time, there’s a lot of depth to be found in this simplicity. It reminds me quite a bit of ‘What If’, in that sense."

Singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier about the new single "Unravel":

"Unravel is probably one of the more unique songs on the album, with its uptempo vibe and many ups and downs. It’s about recognizing and breaking down the plethora of coping mechanisms we tend to build into our sense of self over the course of our lives. It’s a song about rediscovering who you are underneath it all. It was the first song we wrote for the new album and it was obvious from the very beginning that this had to be the opening track on the album as well as the first single release."

Haunting vocal melodies carrying heartfelt cries of longing, anger and despair. Bolstered by lyrical fretless bass lines, vigorous drum beats and captivating guitar riffs, Our Oceanslaces singer/songwriter influences with modern, progressive rock elements.
