MAJESTICA Unleahes New Album 'Power Train'

Swedish symphonic power metal band MAJESTICA embarks on an exhilarating new chapter with the release of their latest album, Power Train, available today via Nuclear Blast Records.
Fans can expect a spellbinding musical journey, filled with powerful riffs and epic choruses that awaken dreams and transport listeners into a majepic fairytale world.

Staying true to their creative process, MAJESTICA once again took full control of the production, writing, recording, and producing of the album themselves. Most of the recording took place in their new creative home, Majestic Studios, while the mixing was expertly handled by Jonas Kjellgren, who previously worked on A Christmas Carol and Metal United.

Visually, Power Train is brought to life by Jan Yrlund / Darkgrove Design, whose stunning artwork invites fans to step onto the platform, hear the call of “all aboard,” and embark on an unforgettable metal journey.

To mark the release, MAJESTICA has unveiled a spectacular new music video for the track 'Battle Cry', delivering yet another epic visual experience for fans worldwide.

Chris Davidsson comments on the album release:

”Finally our new album is about to be released! It has been a long process and we are very happy with how it turned out. Can’t wait to hear what you all think about it! The album has a lot of dynamics, reminding about a train ride, it goes fast, slows down, mid-tempo, full on again, and so on. Tommy Johansson continues: ”The song ’Battle Cry’ takes you back to when Vikings sailed the seas in a fast, melodic and sing-along pirate metal tune.
The sound is very much inspired by Running Wild with some glorified elements from the old ReinXeed era. Set your sail and listen to our battle cry!”

Swedish power metal champions MAJESTICA invite fans to embark on an electrifying journey with their second single, 'A Story In The Night,' from their highly anticipated album, Power Train, set for release on February 7th, 2025.

A blistering showcase of speed, melody, and storytelling, 'A Story In The Night' is a power metal anthem that captures the heart-pounding essence of the genre.
The track, clocking in as one of MAJESTICA’s most dynamic works to date, is accompanied by an epic music video that brings the song's vivid narrative to life with striking visuals and cinematic flair.

When it came to the process of recording and putting all the pieces together, the band did not change a lot compared to the last projects. Again the music was written, recorded, and produced by MAJESTICA themselves. "Like our previous albums, this one is also produced by ourselves, and we recorded most parts in our new place ”Majestic Studios”. For mixing we went back to Jonas Kjellgren as we have been very happy with the sound of ’A Christmas Carol’ and ’Metal United' says bassist Chris Davidsson.
Regarding the amazing artwork for Power Train, Chris explains: "For the artwork we teamed up with Jan Yrlund / Darkgrove design. It invites you to join this majepic ride of the Power Train, imagine standing there on the platform eagerly waiting, and you hear ”all aboard”!".

MAJESTICA have already confirmed some first festival appearances, including 70000 Tons of Metal 2025 which takes place one week before the release of the album and where fans can have justified hopes that MAJESTICA will also play a few new tracks from Power Train live.

TOUR
Shortly before the release of their new album, MAJESTICA will play a few shows, perfect to warm up for the upcoming album. The tour, which is called 'The Dead Don't Die Tour', kicks off on December 26th in Nürnberg, Germany. Along with headliners DOMINUM and support HAMMER KING, the Swedes are going to stop in seven cities. Furthermore, MAJESTICA will play a festival show at 'No Sleep After X-Mas Festival' in Runkel with some extra focus on their Christmas album A Christmas Carol on December 29th.

MAJESTICA - Release New Single 'A New Beginning'!

MAJESTICA are back with their first new music of 2024! The Swedish power metal quartet proudly presents their latest single 'A New Beginning', which is the band's first release since 2021. Therefore, the song name not only fits in relation to this, but also speaks about a new beginning and letting things come to an end. Paired with musical elements reminiscent of the 80s, MAJESTICA unleashes a new catchy tune upon their fans that puts the band back on the radar.

As if the release of this brand new single wasn't enough, MAJESTICA have also delivered a brand new music video for their single, which you can watch below.

"When Majestica finally returns with a new song it couldn’t have been a better one than
'A New Beginning'. Not only is it a heavy power metal song with a catchy sing-along chorus, but it’s also very melodic in the style of Stratovarius, 80’s rock, and Helloween with some hints of Gary Moore. The song reflects on (as the title says) to start over, but also of something that comes to an end. But the end isn’t always a bad thing. It feels great to finally release some new music with Majestica again and to show that we’re back - back with a new beginning."

Last year, MAJESTICA released their new album A Christmas Carol as a wonderful Christmas gift for the whole metal scene. It’s pure symphonic power metal in the true MAJESTICA spirit along with elements inspired by the likes of TWILIGHT FORCE, RHAPSODY, ALAN SILVESTRI, DANNY ELFMAN, and JOHN WILLIAMS.
Today, the band release A Christmas Carol - Extended Version, which is not only available on vinyl, but also finally completes the story surrounding the grumpy old Ebenezer Scrooge with two new songs. The band also unveil a studio video for the second single 'This Christmas', that you can watch below.

The band comments: "It’s time to complete the A Christmas Carol story with our new single 'This Christmas' and the release of A Christmas Carol - Extended Version!
'This Christmas' is an uptempo song that has a bit of all the elements you can find on the album. Strong chorus, duo vocals, big orchestration, twin guitars, and all the Christmas feeling that you need.
Finally, there will be a vinyl version of the album, many asked for this last year and we really felt that it has to be released on vinyl this year!"

Last year, MAJESTICA released their new album A Christmas Carol as a wonderful Christmas gift for the whole metal scene. And this year, the band has again prepared a very special surprise for their fans: an extended version of the album, that will not only be available on vinyl, but that will finally complete the story surrounding the grumpy old Ebenezer Scrooge with two previously unreleased songs. "A Christmas Carol - Extended Version" will be out and getting you into the heavy Christmas spirit on November 12th, but the first new single, "Glory Of Christmas" is already available today. It comes with a beautiful art video, drawn by vocalist Tommy Johansson.

The band comment: "When we released 'A Christmas Carol' last year it was a dream come true to finally release a real Christmas album. But it was not available on vinyl, and we felt we had a bit more to give to complete the story.
So now we have added two new songs to the story where we get to know more of Scrooge's hate for Christmas and also how scared such a powerful man can get when believing his judgment day is dawning.
With these two new songs, we now have 'A Christmas Carol - Extended Version”' which completes the story of Scrooge and his Christmas ghosts.
The first single 'Glory of Christmas' is heavier than the previous songs, but the Christmas feeling hasn't gone anywhere and it has one of the strongest choruses on the album.
During the upcoming tour in December people will hear the entire album from beginning till the end with the new songs! "

In 2019, the Swedish power metal heroes MAJESTICA released their debut album Above The Sky and quickly followed it up with their Christmas musical album, A Christmas Carol, in late 2020. Both albums were a huge success in the metal community, but when the time finally came to present their music to live audiences, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and made all touring impossible. But not only the tours were canceled. Two years in a row now, metal fans all over the world had to go without the summer festivals, that are like the beating hearts of metal itself, not to mention the main source of income for all the amazing people, who help to make the events possible in the first place.

In these times more than ever the metal community must stand together and today, MAJESTICA release a music video for their new single “Metal United” - a true metal hymn and a statement of solidarity for fans and crewmembers alike.

The band comment: "All the people that work at the festivals and with touring bands have had a rough year, just like all of us. But a lot of these people that work so hard to make it possible for us musicians to perform on stage have had problems finding new jobs, and without these hard-working people, we can’t make our dreams come true.
And since we love to play at festivals and to go to festivals, we have been missing out on one important thing that means so much to us.
So the least we can do to honor these fine working people is to write a song as a tribute to them. A cheerful, uplifting song with Irish influences about the hope that everything will be back to normal, and a melodic, uptempo heavy metal song with an important message. "
