BLEED FROM WITHIN | Release Video For 'Killing Time'

Bleed From Within have had an extraordinary couple of years. In April, they'll be hitting the road for a month-long USA and Canada tour with The Ghost Inside, Paleface, and Great American Ghost, and are also looking ahead to a string of summer festival appearances including their Hellfest debut, Download Festival and Graspop, plus a couple of German shows with Shadow Of Intent, The Acacia Strain and Fuming Mouth. Not to mention that they'll be capping off this year in the finest way by playing as special guests to Slipknot across the UK and Europe, for Slipknot's 'Here Comes The Pain' tour celebrating the Iowan's 25th anniversary.

Today, Bleed From Within have released an immense, high-energy video for their track 'Killing Time' made up of some touring highlights from the past few months. 'Killing Time' has become a set-list favorite throughout their recent runs, the track coming from their latest studio album Shrine.

Ali Richardson stated:
"As we approach the end of the Shrine cycle, we've been looking back at everything that we've achieved with this release. It has been a truly amazing couple of years, taking us thousands of miles around the world. The perfect setup to the next chapter of our band. The lyrics for Killing Time are personal, but I hope that the clear message about making the most of the time we have left will resonate with those reading them. The song always stood out to us and our fans, so it has been great to give it a place in our live set and celebrate it with this video. Shot and edited by our close friend and long-time videographer/photographer Tom Armstrong, we hope you enjoy this montage as much as we do. A true celebration of the band's journey over the last couple of years!"

Bleed From Within racked up some impressive tour dates last year, including the Lamb Of God Headbangers Boat cruise, following on from a colossal summer run which took in both headline shows, performances with Heaven Shall Burn and festival appearances at the likes of Brutal Assault (Czech Republic), Summer Breeze (Germany) and Alcatraz(Belgium), finishing up with a 13-date tour supporting Trivium across the UK. This was all on top of a hugely successful debut American tour earlier in the year with August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada

In November of last year Bleed From Within released the Shrine Deluxe Edition. Their stunning latest studio album Shrine was released in the summer of 2022, marking the band's most groundbreaking work to date and staking out Bleed From Within's bold intent. The Scottish 5-piece claiming their position as the most exciting prospect in modern metal.

Steven Jones from the band stated,
''Upon releasing 'Shrine' in June 2022, it's safe to say that none of us expected what the following months would bring. It's been a hell of a year, with our most rigorous touring schedule yet putting us in places we've dreamed of since we started the band. This era of Bleed From Within is something we have worked so hard toward, and in this moment we are extremely grateful to all those who have made it possible. To all of our fans who fill the rooms and sing the words, to the team behind the scenes who keep the cogs moving on tour, in the studio, and everywhere between, and to the creative minds that help us bring our music to life - thank you. 17 months since its original release, we are so proud to now present this limited and deluxe edition of 'Shrine', featuring all of the songs that were recorded during the sessions. Here's to the months and years ahead!''
Bleed From Within have been to hell and back, but they are no strangers to enduring hardship. When a global pandemic threatened to shut down their plans, the Glaswegians collectively raised five middle fingers and pressed on. It’s no surprise that this unstoppable riff machine continues to crush forward at such a frantic pace – there's no putting the breaks on the heaviest band to ever emerge from Scotland.

The band’s reputation as one of the most formidable forces in modern metal has earned them tour slots with MegadethLamb Of GodTestament, and Heaven Shall Burn, to name just a few. The last few years has seen them dominate the UK live scene and take Europe and America by storm.

Shrine has taken the most graft to put together of any record in their catalog, challenging their self-perception on both personal and technical levels - the culmination of two years of hard work that embodies their artistic might. Armed with the learnings of evolving their sound over the last decade without ever losing sight of their DIY roots, this is Bleed From Within at their very best. There’s no denying the band’s inevitable next steps are world domination, with Shrine a turning point moment.

Bleed From Within are:

Craig Gowans - Lead Guitar
Steven Jones - Rhythm Guitar & Vocals

MOVEMENTS DROP OFFICIAL VIDEOS FOR TWO BRAND NEW SONGS

"KILLING TIME" + "LEAD PIPE" USHER IN AN EXCITING CREATIVE ERA FOR THE BELOVED SO CAL BAND

Southern California band MOVEMENTS  Patrick Miranda, vocals; Ira George, guitar; Spencer York, drums; and Austin Cressey, bass — are back with not one but TWO new songs, produced by Will Yip. The band has spent the past several months flexing their creative muscles, pushing their sonic boundaries, and diligently working on new material.

Today, they have shared some of the results of their labor with videos for "Killing Time" and "Lead Pipe." Watch the videos, directed by Drew Horen, below.

"We feel they are the perfect introduction to a new era of Movements," the band states about the new material. "These songs incorporate the core values and themes you'd expect from a Movements song — but they're packaged up in a much different manner."

"Killing Time" packs quite a bit of groove, tension, and dissonance. To that end, the band states that it's "a love song with a dark, self-deprecating undertone. The verses are gritty and dense, the choruses open up into an almost pop-centric singalong before diving into a crushing bridge that exemplifies a love so strong that it can (and probably will) end up killing the narrator."

On the flip side, "Lead Pipe" is a fast, driving, and intense tune that operates off a distorted grind engine, with the band deeming it "a classic mental health track, but one that you probably wouldn't expect or even realize on first listen. The narrator here is describing the moment they realize their dark past is coming back to haunt them. Something they thought they'd overcome is suddenly knocking at the door and will do anything to get back in. However, this time is different. Our narrator is hellbent on ending that struggle once and for all, and has chosen to fight back instead of give in."

Indeed, it has been a whirlwind few years for Movements as evidenced by the fact that band's 2020-released album No Good Left to Give debuted at #3 on the Alternative chart and their streams have doubled since then, with 200 million total plays in the U.S. alone. However, despite their success, the post-hardcore quartet has constantly reinvented itself since forming in 2015. The band dropped the EP Outgrown Things in 2016 and further cemented its sound on the 2017 full-length debut Feel Something. Press accolades have continued to follow the band, from Brooklyn Vegan, AXS, Rock Sound, Culture CollideGuitar World, and more.

Fans will no doubt be eager to ingest and enjoy the new songs.

But they can expect more new music from Movements soon — as "Lead Pipe" and "Killing Time" are just the beginning.

BAND SIGNS TO AFM RECORDS

Reach NYC
, the alt-metal outfit born out of the legendary New York City hardcore scene, have announced their return with a worldwide signing on German powerhouse label AFM Records. Featuring special appearances by Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Kiiara, Sonny + Marcos from P.O.D, Joey Santiago from The  Pixies and Sendog from Cypress Hill, Reach NYC are currently gearing up for the release of their long-awaited sophomore studio album.

Nils Wasko, Senior A&R Director of AFM Records, says, "Right from the start of our discussions with René Mata and REACH NYC, creativity and teamwork were the key words. We A&R'ed the whole album together and chose the best engineers and producers available. AFM is here to make sure everyone feels supported in every way. Getting to know René Mata has been such a pleasure and together we will propel their artistry even further on a global hard rock stage."

Formed on Long Island in 1996, Reach were active on the New York scene, frequently rocking infamous haunts like CBGBs alongside the heavy hitting Papa Roach and System of a Down, and festivals like Vans Warped Tour.

Originally named Reach 454, they caught a break when Lava/Atlantic president Jason Flom signed them after a strong performance at a label showcase. The band entered the studio in 2002 with producer Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Evanescence), and emerged in the summer of 2003 with their self-titled debut. The album showcased Reach 454's dynamic melodic shifts and riff-heavy guitar work. The band fell on hard times in 2004 and took an indefinite hiatus.

Throughout the years, Chester Bennington, one of Mata's closest friends, expressed to Rene how important it was for him to keep playing music. The last time Rene and Chester were together in NYC, they hosted a dinner hang with Jacoby, Tobin, and Tony from Papa Roach, Matt Sorum, Marcos of P.O.D., and Rob from Volbeat. While enjoying their dinner, Bennington presented the idea of wanting to put together a tour for the following year with Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Deftones, System of a Down, Papa Roach and wanted Reach to open. Disastrously, the singer passed away that same July of 2017, and Mata fell into a dark depression.

Reach NYC is now premiering a music video for new single "Killing Time," and Mata reveals, "The song is about my internal fight with myself after after losing a close friend. I had relapsed after 25 years of sobriety and had fallen into a massive depression after Chester passed away. The video is the chaos in my subconscious in relapse and depression. A full on war in my heart, head, and soul. Without recovery, family, and friends, I wouldn't have made it out alive. I know the band conveyed it in their playing and recording of the song."

In 2019, Reach NYC drummer Dante and Marcos Curiel encouraged Rene to put the band back together and open for P.O.D. in NYC. It was the band's first show since 2004, and it quickly rekindled their friendship and their love of music. Their love for creating music, as well as the importance of friends and family, renewed their dedication to keep the project going.

On October 9, 2020 Reach NYC returned to the airwaves with a new EP titled, Back From the Dead, their first release in 17 years, also featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. The EP was mixed by Jay Baumgardner and mastered by Howie Weinberg in Los Angeles. Reach NYC features Rene Mata on vocals, Dante Renzi on drums, Nick Cavagnaro (guitars, vocals), and more recently adding young guns AJ Chiarella on guitars and vocals as well as bassist Tim Robbins.

Reach NYC quickly got back to the stage, and returned to the New York scene performing with longtime friends Quicksand at the Bowery, and made an appearance at Danny Wimmer's historic Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona, FL in 2021. Most recently, Reach NYC signed a new international deal with AFM records and are currently recording their sophomore record that is set to release in 2023, with special appearances by Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Kiiara, Sonny + Marcos from P.O.D, Joey Santiago from The Pixies, and Sendog of Cypress Hill and Powerflo.
