Julien-K Announces New Single, New Band Member, and New Tour Dates for 2025!

Julien-K adds veteran touring powerhouse drummer Galen Waling as an official band member. Waling is known for his work in Lords Of Acid, PIG, and Left Spine Down.

Singer Ryan Shuck explained, “We work with so many creatives in our Julien-K extended family, we had always thought of the band as much bigger than just Amir, Fu, and I. It’s normal for us to work with different players, writers, producers in the course of doing what we do - and that won’t change. But as the band has become such a regular touring entity, Galen just fit so solidly into our live world that we started asking him to join us in the studio as well. It just seemed natural to make him an official band member”.

The band begins an extensive 2025 tour schedule with the Colder Than Hell Tour featuring Vampires Everywhere & Priest, then joins Powerman 5000 though April, as well as, performing at the famous Rainbow Anniversary Festival on the Sunset Strip on April 13th. More tour dates TBA for Fall 2025.

The bands latest dark techno-dystopian single “Static Whispers” from their upcoming album DRK|MODE drops Friday, Dec 13th to coincide with the bands last show of the year at Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood CA. Supporting Julien-K will be Grey Daze from Phoenix AZ.

JULIEN-K Announces INDIEGOGO Campaign for DRK|MODE Album!

After 5 wildly successful #1 Indiegogo campaigns that have made Julien-K one of the highest earning crowdfunding bands in the world, the band has returned for their most ambitious campaign yet: DRK|MODE - A PURELY ELECTRONIC DARK INDUSTRIAL CREATION.

The campaign text alone is an undeniable example showing that the band has become masters of the art of gamification and teasing of new material and huge product drops. The band has created a long running narrative that is completely authentic yet somehow borders on fantasy that fans seem to love.

Julien-K casually drops another bomb on fans with their now classic playful yet ominous tone:

Do synthesizers feel pain?

We want to find out.

Can we create a compelling album through acoustic exclusion and electronic torture?
Possibly.

JOIN US IN DRK|MODE.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/julien-k-drk-mode#/

After their critically acclaimed and commercially successful return to their Orgy-esque roots in HARMONIC DISRUPTOR, they slowly began the "answer" to that album. That answer is called TRAUMA ECHOES.

"We started creating sludgy, guitar heavy, emotional electro-rock as a path out of the JKHD universe - but we kept finding ourselves pulled to heavy a synthetic 4 on the floor heartbeat. That heartbeat cut a new path that lead us through a new doorway."

"This unexpected dichotomy in our approach confused us at first, but over time it became clear that that we were being led down the path to two separate works of art. Two disparate projects. Twin shadows walking alone in the same darkness."

"The divergent undersurface of TRAUMA ECHOES had to be free of our well known guitar heavy approach. It had to be pure electro. It was a challenge to speak this new language only using machines. Could we create a sound that was definitively JULIEN-K without our guitars? An entire album of it?? Would the fans that have had our backs for so many years support an idea like this?"

This was the beginning of DRK|MODE.

Ryan Shuck says of the bands new campaign “We really broke the mold and set records with our last campaigns, but at this point we’re extremely cautious with our expectations. Will this campaign be so surprisingly successful? We just don't know - it’s not a “new” concept anymore. All we can do is unleash our creativity and energy and do the BEST we possibly can to create a compelling and comprehensive world for our fans to participate in. So far, if we focus on that - we have succeeded every time. We have to have faith in our fans.”

Julien-K is an independent electro-rock band formed in Long Beach CA in 2008 by long time friends and collaborators Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck (founding members of Orgy, Dead By Sunrise). Later joined by Anthony “Fu” Valcic in 2009, the band recorded it’s now classic debut album Death To Analog. Over the last 10 years, the band has released multiple albums and toured extensively, and has become one of the most successful crowd-funded bands in the world. Despite the band's dark & stylistic videos and Blade Runner-esque imagery, the band has focused on a totally “connected” independent and authentic fan-focused career path - often avoiding a more classic commercial approach.

Industrial/electro rockers Julien-K, founded by original Orgy members Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh have premiered their new lyric video for single "Stronger Without You"

Video by Jacob Glover Listen and follow us on SPOTIFY - https://open.spotify.com/track/1oGzi0GuxuYuh4MBvsQXhh?si=cu6Nsr_jQnqwzMFFO9EC8Q From the album Harmon...

"Stronger Without You takes us back to our roots in Orgy "Candyass" era. We consciously wanted to revisit the spirit and tone we created when we started Orgy. The 90’s influence, the heavy detuned guitars w strong electro roots - truly OUR roots. The lyrics use apocalyptic language to tell the story of a toxic person choking on they’re own negativity. Truly Julien-K!" says vocalist Ryan Shuck.

The band released their album titled Harmonic Disruptor through TLG/INgrooves earlier this year. The title track off of the album, "Harmonic Disruptor," was released as a single on January 24th. Their second single "Shut Down Your Soul" dropped on February 28th and the third single "Stronger Without You" dropped on March 20th.

Gonzales and Cobra both brought in new energy and additional songwriting in the constantly evolving nuclear explosion that is Julien-K.

Industrial/electro rockers Julien-K, founded by original Orgy members Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh have released their new album titled Harmonic Disruptor

The title track off of the album, "Harmonic Disruptor," was released as a single on January 24th. Their second single "Shut Down Your Soul" dropped on February 28th and the third single "Stronger Without You" dropped on March 20th. The band has also announced the rescheduled dates for their massive national tour with The Birthday Massacre (dates below).

The full album can be bought/streamed at

https://ffm.to/harmonicdisruptor_

"Harmonic Disruptor is a return to our roots. Not just our early days in the Orgy “Candyass era”, but a return to the music and energy that shaped us. Ministry. Nine In Nails, Broken. Skinny Puppy. Killing Joke. The 90’s. The music that was waking us the fuck up when we were in high school. JKHD is an intense album. During the writing of the album we lost our best friend, Dead By Sunrise bandmate, and co-collaborator Chester Bennington" says the band.

They add, "Harmonic Disruptor took on a brand new meaning. A very tragic and personal meaning. This album became our outlet to deal with the pain of losing Chester - a pain that would have destroyed us otherwise. This was our chance to scream and be angry."

As already announced,Julien-K will be joined by their legendary original drummer and Dead By Sunrise bandmate, Elias “Bones” Rodriguez.

The band is anticipating a massive excited and inspired core fanbase turnout with the re-addition of OG member “Bones” on a virtually perfect tour pairing with The Birthday Massacre.

Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck and Anthony “Fu” Valcic have been musical collaborators for 20 years. During their time together they have weaved in and out of mainstream music like a constantly evolving musical fashion house. In the late 90's to mid 2000’s they were responsible for massive radio and sales hits such as "Blind" (Korn), "Blue Monday"," Stitches", and "Fiction" (Orgy), and more recently "Crawl Back In" and "Let Down" (Dead By Sunrise with their close friend Chester Bennington). After enjoying years of traditional music business success, they recently began steering their fans towards their new independent electro-industrial rock project Julien-K – which sounds at home with acts like Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Ministry, IAMX, Marilyn Manson, Stabbing Westward, Killing Joke, as well as any act Orgywould have paired with.
