Invent Animate Announce 'Heavener (Definitive)' Out Now via UNFD
Invent Animate fans, rejoice! The atmospheric metalcore trailblazers have announced the release of 'Heavener (Definitive)' , and dropped their new track "How We Used To Say Goodbye" (via UNFD). Before today, Invent Animate shared "Sleepless Deathbed" which has amassed nearly 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone and 216k views and counting on YouTube. When asked about 'Heavener (Definitive)', guitarist Keaton Goldwire shared:
“Finishing out 'Heavener' was a really special moment for us. There was such deep self-reflection and proudness that formed into an intense motivation. I don’t think was ever a time where I could say I was inspired by my own band, but this one really sparked something. So we kept writing. The songs we came up with are a true extension of Heavener and give us closure to an era. A new, definitive ending.
'Heavener (Definitive)' includes the original album in its entirety, plus “How We Used To Say Goodbye”, recent singles “Sleepless Deathbed” and “Heavener”, and a re-imagined version of “Without a Whisper.” The band will also be offering a premium version of the album on vinyl with a limited-edition D-Side etching, and an embossed jacket with spot gloss and foil stamping. Truly the definitive version of the critically acclaimed album – 'Heavener'.”

Sleep Theory Share "Fallout — Reimagined" Lyric Video — WATCH
PAPER HEARTS EP OUT NOW VIA EPITAPH RECORDS
BAND TOURING WITH BEARTOOTH THROUGH FEBRUARY
WILL RETURN TO THE ROAD WITH WAGE WAR + NOTHING MORE IN APRIL + FOR MAJOR FESTIVALS
Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — were one of the biggest success stories of 2023. With monthly streams numbering at nearly 10 million per month, a Top 10 track at Active Rock, and a full slate of touring though early summer, the band continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
Today, they release the lyric video for "Fallout — Reimagined." It's a softer, contemplative, and cinematic take on the raw-edged original but it's just as powerful. Watch it below.
"When we decided to reimagine this song, we wanted to peel back some of the musical layers and let the lyrics take center stage," the band explains. "Each one of us in the band has our own personal connection to this song, and by sharing this version, we hope to connect even more with you. Our goal is to create a space where everyone can relate to the emotions and stories embedded in our music. We're excited to share this new rendition and hear how it resonates with you all."
Watch the video for the original here.
The band's Paper Hearts EP is out now via the Epitaph Records. Get the EP, which has been streamed over 57 million times, here.
Sleep Theory are in the middle of a 40-date trek with Beartooth, The Plot In You, and Invent Animate in Winter 2024. The band will next hit the road with Wage War and Nothing More in the spring. All upcoming Sleep Theory tour dates are below, including festival appearances at Sonic Temple, Rock Fest, So What?!, Welcome to Rockville, and more.
Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength — and they show no signs of slowing down.
The Paper Hearts EP features two buzzy singles — "Numb" and "Gone or Staying" — and the songs have established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about artists of 2023. The band was praised by Loudwire for its ability to "adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after."
With further press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, and Punktastic and with forthcoming coverage at Men's Journal, Consequence, and Alt Press, they've enjoyed major nods from SiriusXM's Octane. They've toured with everyone from Shinedown to Set It Off, shared stages with I Prevail and Falling In Reverse, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Rock Fest, ShipRockled, and Point Fest. They also count Jellyroll and Disturbed David Draiman as fans.

Invent Animate Share "Heavener" Video
Progressive metalcore head-turners INVENT ANIMATE — vocalist Marcus Vik, guitarists Keaton Goldwire and Trey Celaya, drummer Brody Smith, and bassist Caleb Sherraden — released their head-turning fourth album HEAVENER earlier this year via UNFD. Get it here.
Today, they have shared the visually arresting video for the title track, which does not appear on the original release. The video demands multiple viewings, as it is full of fast-moving, somewhat blurred visuals — offering up a different perspective every time you watch it.
This song has beautiful, shimmering qualities, which show off the band's deftness with dynamics. It was written as a continuation of the album Heavener, with the intention to encompass the entire feeling of the album.
Watch it below.
"In a time of internal panic, having a person that constantly reminds you that they have a place of home, can be crucial when trying to bring someone down to earth again," states Vik. "The song 'Heavener' is about reassurance, it's about trying to convince your closest person that you see and hear them in their internal and helpless drift. A lot of love and pain goes into the work of showing the one closest to you that only they can create their own internal heaven, as they are their own 'Heavener.'"
Goldwire furthers, "We actually had a few 'B sides' sitting around but we're really stubborn in thinking that the next thing we write will always be better than the thing before. Caleb had the idea to make a song titled 'Heavener' after the record was done and I got to work trying to make a song that seemed like it encompassed the feeling of the album as a whole. Going into the lyrics, Marcus, too, wrote a song that defined Heavener for him, since it's not necessarily one idea or thing. We wanted to try our best to wrap everything up into one song as a sort of 'end credits,' so to speak."
The band will return the road in September on a Fall 2023 headline run. Void of Vision, thrown, and Aviana will serve as support. The tour kicks off at House of Blues in Dallas on September 22 and runs through October 23 in Phoenix. All dates are below.

NEW ALBUM HEAVENER ARRIVES MARCH 17 VIA UNFD
Progressive metalcore head-turners INVENT ANIMATE are gearing up for the imminent release of their new album HEAVENER. It arrives March 17 via UNFD. Pre-order it here.
They've just shared the video for the new single "Without a Whisper." Watch it below.
The song tackles a deeply personal topic and invites some intense introspection. The visual finds the band performing while once again cloaked in neutral attire and surrounded by florals that represent the ebbs and flows of nature.
"'Without a Whisper' is about my grandmother dying, and me having to confront death for the first time," says guitarist Keaton Goldwire. "As someone who's not religious, it was the first time I had to really ask myself what happens in the after life. The song is me hoping, even though I don't believe, that she's in a place like heaven. 'I know I've been there before with you' is my way of saying I know we've been together in happiness, in a state I imagine as heaven before."
Invent Animate will remain on the road through the spring, as well. They have booked dates with Currents and Like Moths to Flames, as well as with Bad Omens and ERRA. All dates are below.
